Slash promos to see a podcast call twenty five wists
Stuck in football and they are a whist So, yes, it's.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Too bad, but what did you expect? It's a podcast
call twenty five whistles Twine, Welcome to the show. I
have a lot of stuff to say because I feel
like we had so many days of football and I
kept notes the whole time, and it's been like a month.
I feel like thing I'm talking about that we are
talking about like a month we bold whistler. I got okay, first,

(01:38):
how much fun would it have been to pepper spray
the other team's players? So much fun? Now, look, I
got a lot to say about the Ohio State Michigan game.
But imagine that you are a police officer and you're
an Ohio State fan police officer, because I'm imagining that
if you're a police officer from Ohio at the Ohio

(02:00):
State game, you're probably sad that you lost the game.
That's a terrible loss. Imagine the cathartic release when you
got to pepper spray Michigan players. Yep, you know they
were like, ah, rivalry is real, right in their face.
So I got a lot to say. But first of all,
those cops and I know they're being investigated. Things are

(02:22):
under investigation. Nothing's gonna happen. You know, can't pepper spray
someone messing with your logo? Yeah you can, No, you can't.
Oh now they might have pepper sprayed finger quotes because
things were getting out of hand and they worried about
someone being in danger. Yeah, but all I was thinking was,
you know those Ohio State Police officers freaking love pepper
spray and Michigan players. Yeah, that's first part of that.

(02:45):
The second part of that is it's not even about
flag planning. It's about there is not a worse look
than losing a game and then getting into a fight
on the field. Yeah, and that happened many times, not
even just to flags. I saw Arkansas do that, and
that's my team. I saw Arkansas'll try to fight after
the game against Missouri. If you lose, you lost, get

(03:06):
off the field. Losers. Now, that could be any team
in a year. But you lost. There is not a
more I'm sad and insecure than fighting somebody after you
just lost. The fight on the field have a terrible look.
So don't fight. Once you lose you feel like fighting,

(03:28):
get off the field. The flag planning hilarious. Now they're
gonna have to stop flag planning there. Yes, here's what
I wrote on my Instagram and my Twitter. I wrote,
you can't actually get the flag into the ground of stick,
So why aren't these people like running out with a
nice sand base that they can in a stand. They
can put the flag in anything.

Speaker 4 (03:47):
Oh, gently put the flag on there.

Speaker 1 (03:48):
Yeah, you just take a sand base. You have somebody
who's running the flag out and behind them you run
out of a sand base that's in a like a
concrete contraption. You set that down, then you put the
flag again, and then you protect it because it ain't
going in the field.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Oh is that the whole point them actually sticking a
dagger into your logo.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Well, that's the idea. It's the dagger in But if
you get it to stand, that would be awesome. And
I think Baker Mayfield showed us it ain't gonna stick.
Those fields are not for things to stick in. So
here are the three things. Number one, it must feel
felt good to pepper Spray and Michigan player because you
know they were like, we really needed pepper Spray this.

(04:29):
Everybody's got pads done because you didn't hear any Ohio
State players be like, oh my gosh.

Speaker 5 (04:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Number two, if you lose and you fight, you're just
a big titty baby, titty baby. Yeah, get off the field.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
I never heard that before.

Speaker 1 (04:48):
You need it. And I'm saying this as we lost Arkansas.
My team lost and we tried to fight Missouri. You lost.
What are you gonna do win that one? That one
doesn't count and you he gets suspended the game. So
don't fight after you lose and you feel like fighting,
you just get off the field because you're gonna look
like even more of a chump.

Speaker 6 (05:07):
You put that on the coach at all.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
I put that on the culture, okay. And number three,
if you're going to plan a flag, you can go
to like home depot and get a flag holder. You
just have two people carry it out. One carries a flag,
one carries out the weighted bass flag holder weights and
you lay it down there, then you put the flag

(05:29):
in it, and then you stand around it the end.
I fixed it. That would be legit. Yeah, clip that,
it's clipped already. Clip that. You know. Those cops are like,
oh yeah.

Speaker 6 (05:39):
You guys, ever been pepper sprayed?

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Uh uh from not straight on? But like secondarily, was
that because they did that in your hallways at school?

Speaker 5 (05:49):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (05:49):
No, no, because we did a bit on the show
and I was too close to it.

Speaker 4 (05:52):
Oh yeah, that what Mike got sprayed?

Speaker 1 (05:55):
No, I sprayed Mike Dean ran. Yeah, yeah, but he
was the one asking about it. Next up, if you
have three losses and you're trying to get in the
college football playoff, don't cry when you don't get in. Now,
I will say, if there's a three loss team that
gets in, good for you, because one may. But you

(06:21):
can't cry if you lost three times. I'm not saying
all three loss teams are absolutely eliminated, because we could
see what happens where us SMU's playing Clemson right in
the ACC title game. If Clemson wins, they're not getting in.

(06:42):
What Clemson wins, they'll get in. If SMU wins, Clemson
will not get in. So that could just be one
team going in. So there could be a three win
in Alabama, South Carolina, Ole Miss that they get in.
But if you're a three loss team, shut up. You lost.
You can state your case, but you lost. You don't
deserve to have people feel sorry for you. You lost.

(07:04):
If you lost three games, you still might get in,
but don't cry like a little titty baby.

Speaker 7 (07:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
Yes, when you don't get in, three losses eliminate you
from crying. It almost eliminates you from getting in, but
it does eliminate you from crying. So I'd like to
say that.

Speaker 4 (07:23):
Are you directing that towards this certain team?

Speaker 1 (07:27):
I am not. Actually it's all of them. I was
watching on Twitter now known as X and Lane Kiffin
had posted a thing going, let's break it down. We
beat this, they beat that, we beat this, they beat
that strength to schedule, and I'm like, what I like
about Lane Kiffin is also what I don't like about
Lane Kiffin, Like, he doesn't shut up, and it's hilarious

(07:48):
and it's annoying, and it's great. It's great for the sport.
Brett Beilama then posts, Hey, great logic, Let's use your
same logic and just annihilates Lane Kiffin with his logic
with a higher strength to schedule with three losses. So
if you have three losses and you don't get in,
don't cry. If you have three losses and you do
happen to get in, hey good for you. You're really lucked out.

(08:12):
That's number two. Clip to that. I like saying clip.
It makes me feel cool. Next up Penn State, James Franklin.
So they keep scoring. At the end of that game.
You can always tell when two coaches meeting at midfield

(08:33):
have a moment, even if it's not super obvious, because
they hug a little too long.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
Oh yeah, there.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
Are a couple people that are hug a little too long.
Creepy uncles and coaches aren't happy with the hither and
they were hugging a little too long at the end
of that game, and so they go after and James
Franklin was super upfront about it. He goes, yeah, we scored.
He goes, will you mean to do? I put in
the threes and the fours meeting third string of fourth
to three players. Now the host let them play football.

(09:01):
I'm not supposed to let them play And I thought
to myself, I agree he said, but they've been working hard,
they shouldn't get to play football. But that's what the
coach from Maryland was having a problem with. The game
ended up forty four to seven. It was not really
a game, but yeah, I was third string and fourth

(09:21):
string guys who they should get to play. And I
can tell you this as a team that's been had
the crap beat out of them. When Ole Miss is
beating US one hundred and ninety two a few weeks ago,
I was like, yeah, the second and third string of
fourth three guys, they should if they can score, they
should score. They played, this is their opportunity. You don't
want them to score stop them. The only time that

(09:42):
I would say that is not the case is if
you're playing like Balding or State and they're playing eight
man football while you've got all eleven. And that happens sometimes.
But I thought that the Maryland coach was kind of
a whimp. I would say, to his face, is bigger
than I have, much bigger. He'd probably hugged me for
way long, and I wouldn't like that because he's strong.
But he was complaining about it and he said it

(10:02):
was bull less. But I thought James Franklin was right on.
He's like, what do you want me to do? Because
he could have put third and fourth in and just
run the ball the whole time. But also, like your quarterback, you,
I'll let him throw a little bit. Yeah. I had
no problem with them throwing. I liked it. The hugs, though,
were hilarious. How long did they hug? Well, so what

(10:24):
started off as a hug turned into kind of a
mini headlock.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
Yeah, I know.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
And then if you fight out of the mini headlock,
then you could tell there was something going on that's awesome.
And what I admired about James Franklin was he didn't
fight out of the mini headlock because he also did
not want that to seem like it was more than
what it was. You could tell it was after about
one Mississippi, two Mississippi, three Mississippi. Fuh mini headlock, four Mississippi,
five Mississippi. Then they split off. Yeah. I could not

(10:52):
agree more with James Franklin saying this is by somebody
who gets a score run up on him sometimes too,
So it's not like I'm a Bama fan and I'm like, yeah,
ill them score, but spurry or said it best at
your job to stop.

Speaker 6 (11:03):
Us, especially if you're playing the ones. He said Maryland
sell other ones.

Speaker 1 (11:07):
In and they were playing cover zero, So what do
you expect them to do? Well, you could expect them
just to run it, you know, cover zeros.

Speaker 4 (11:14):
Yeah, it means you cover No one, no cover zero.

Speaker 5 (11:18):
No.

Speaker 7 (11:19):
Good.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
Guess that means that means it's man coverage. There's there's
zero people back there in case like a safety. Oh
it's full man, got it?

Speaker 4 (11:27):
Yeah, man a man.

Speaker 1 (11:28):
But covers that you can play man of man with
like a safety plan zone.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
So I've seen cover five.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
What's that? I've seen that on Madden. Cover five is
not really a thing like a cover. Okay, quick breakdown, Okay,
Cover two. This is gonna be very generic and rudimentary.
Split split safeties are playing half the fields, right, and
you can play a zone Cover two. You can play
a man Cover two, Cover three, you're playing thirds of
the field. You can go a cover four. There are

(11:54):
different versions of cover four.

Speaker 4 (11:55):
So is this just for the DB's for the safeties
in the back.

Speaker 1 (11:59):
It could be you can also drop a linebacker and
let's say blitz of safety and you're playing three. So
rough multiple variations to it. But yeah, rough that's yes,
Roughly that would be cover zero as you're playing man
coverage and there's zero people back there in case there's
an accident and someone gets behind everybody. That'd be my
mistake in n Cuba every single time.

Speaker 6 (12:19):
Yeah. Yeah, Engage eight, I don't even know what that is.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
Was still one guy back.

Speaker 6 (12:23):
No, that's true.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
Cover sixty nine. You don't want to know, you know, Hey,
follow my only fans. Hey, hey, clip clip climate.

Speaker 4 (12:38):
Did you see the Georgia Georgia Tech hug.

Speaker 6 (12:41):
Because that was a very long hug, but they're crying.

Speaker 4 (12:43):
They were crying though they were happily hugging.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Yes, that was the other hug was almost a headlog,
this hug, almost trying to do a Makeolean correct. Yeah,
so confession about that game. Georgia Tech was up seventeen zero.
I think I got some like neurovirus and it was
so bad I was sleeping on I was at somebody
else's house for Thanksgiving. I was sleeping on towels on

(13:09):
the bed. Oh justin kise because I was throwing up
and had diarrhea. And so it's seventeen zero. I was like, well,
this game's probably over. And I was in Arkansas, so
I couldn't bet it because I would have bet Georgia
and I couldn't. And I was the neurobius is like
forty eight hours, right, and I didn't make it, and
I woke up. It's all eight overtimes.

Speaker 4 (13:29):
Oh, eight overtimes. If you would have bet Georgia, you
would have been puckered the entire end of the game
because it just kept going back and forth.

Speaker 1 (13:35):
I watched it, and hey, watch the biggest plays because
you can do that on YouTube TV. Yeah, and twenty
minutes long, that's what it felt like. Haines King is like, yeah,
he's awesome. That dude is a boss.

Speaker 6 (13:47):
Yeah, so I almost texted you because that overtime. We've
talked about it recently.

Speaker 1 (13:52):
It's the stupidest thing ever.

Speaker 6 (13:53):
I was sitting there with my girlfriend. She's like, they're
not done yet, so sid.

Speaker 1 (13:57):
Stop with the one place. Yeah, you don't like it.

Speaker 4 (13:59):
I feel like it's almost like a boxing match, like
I missed. No, No, it's not like the slapping. That's
it slapping. Yeah, it's like, oh okay, it didn't knock
me down.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
My turn, And I don't think because if it goes
to like the national championship and it's in on a
two point conversion. That's a disaster. That's gross. I don't
mind first overtime normal, second overtime I think is also normal,
where you take turns and you kick a field goal.
I think is a third overtime for a second? Now, okay,
second two, second's go for two. I don't mind it

(14:31):
being go for two every time with the play. Sure,
like I had mentioned, and I'm not sure which, if
it was today or maybe Brandon last week. I think
in overtime you start at the fifty. I hate that
you can just kick a field goal immediately without having
to do anything. Started the fifty. If it's even after that,
then you go to the forty five, then to the
forty slowly make your way. Yeah, I like that, but

(14:53):
what do I know?

Speaker 4 (14:54):
You know what I don't like is that when they
like they to the two teams go for the two,
then the one that lasted it goes next.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
Snake draft.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
Yeah, snake draft style. I don't like that so much.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
I hate it that it's all two point conversions because
you also saw them run out of plays like four
into yeah, oh for sure. Because Georgia tech.

Speaker 6 (15:14):
With the crazy formation.

Speaker 4 (15:16):
Then they have one that was like, oh, the five
guys even lineman, five linemen on the left side, which
is pretty.

Speaker 6 (15:21):
Crazy, like all the way to the sideline. And then
they ran a play to the right.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
Yeah, some direct dance dance revolution out there. They don't
even know what's going on. I don't know, man, go
out there and do something, and then they have to
go from one side of the field to the other.
It's just like, what are we doing here? I didn't
like that. I didn't watch it until later because I
think I'd have been puckered the whole time.

Speaker 7 (15:37):
But I was.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
I was a little ill at that one. Don't worry
aout clipping that one. Oh yeah, I got you. I
got a couple more. Trevor Lawrence's oh come on slide
and his head almost getting ripped off. I will say,
first of all, very dirty, Yeah, dirty play. I have
a way to fix this, though, I know you guys thought, oh,

(15:59):
I know you got the Bobby's not gonna have way
to fix this.

Speaker 4 (16:01):
Oh You're just gonna complain about it.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Way to fix it. So that, by the way, he
did end up tweeting, Hey, I'm okay, thank goodness. I
don't know if it means he's really okay or he
can just tweet.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
Somebody else to do it.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
But that was a bad hit and I haven't seen
as of now what the punishment is going to be
because it was elbow it was it was he was
going down elbow up. So what has happened here in general?
And I think we saw this a bit in a
different way with Caleb Williams. These quarterbacks are really trying
to push it to the last minute before they slide
or get out of bounce. And you saw with Caleb
Williams he was going kind of out of bounds and

(16:40):
they stopped to try to get extra yard and then
he got in his leg got bent back. We saw
Kenny Pickett, which is not this is not allowed anymore,
but Kenny Pickett with the fake slide and back up.
These quarterbacks are waiting until the last minute to slide.
And so I'm not saying that this was right in
any way whatsoever, but these defensive players now have got
to go like and sometimes quarterbacks will just slow down

(17:02):
and then take off again, not even faking like the slide.
That's the new cheap mahomes done that a lot.

Speaker 4 (17:07):
Yes, yeah, okay, but they if they mark you down
where you start the slide. That's kind of why I
think they're waiting so much, Like I need to go.

Speaker 8 (17:16):
And hear you.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
But I'm just talking about the injury part of it.
I'm talking about them getting hit.

Speaker 4 (17:19):
Yeah, but that's the reason they're not sliding so quickly
I think on their quarterback.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
But again, all I'm talking about is the injury part
of it, where people are getting killed because they're these
defensive players are coming and ring as hard as they
can going time to kill, kill kill. He's still up
and then all of a sudden they got to pull
back last minute. The hit was still dirty. That'd pissed
me off. The other player should not have been objective
for beating the crap out of him. This is what
they should have on their their uniforms. Quarterbacks, they should

(17:43):
have basically a jag button. Now follow me here, Oh,
where they get out of their uni Well, it's not
eject out of the uniform though, it's like an air
bag that comes out. Oh like as soon as it's suit. Yes,
as soon as you you don't got a slide, but
as soon as you hit the sumo suit, poof bubble.

Speaker 4 (18:00):
It hits you, You're frozen right there. Everything ends up
looking like those helmet pads that they're wearing.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
Now, yeah, yo comes, But imagine that though, because you
know as soon as you hit it, that's the yard
line you're on. So you're running. It's like on your hip.
Run run runs, hit the button one, you get crushed,
doesn't matter. An airbag number two, it's instantaneous. You can

(18:27):
see exactly where the airbag went off and then tell
me this is not running.

Speaker 4 (18:34):
It's probably a little pricey, but genius.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
The NFL makes billions of dollars a year, I'm saying,
and if good quarterbacks get hurt, that costs everybody. So
if there was some way to have even a top
half half air like as soon as you're you want
to call it out. Anybody hits you, Now you're in
an airbag two. We know exactly where it happened.

Speaker 4 (18:58):
Does the tackler bounce once he hits whoa? It's like
a trampoline.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
So I don't know how the airbag is yet, right,
I would say it doesn't have to be that dramatic.

Speaker 6 (19:05):
I'm thinking like the bottom of a pile and somebody
hits it and everyone.

Speaker 1 (19:09):
That's like video game, then be a thing. But there
needs to be some sort of like alert all kidding aside,
alert as to when that's happening, because otherwise you should
be able to git the quarterback because they're sliding late,
they're strategizing how to slide differently to get the most yards.

(19:30):
They're faking stepping out of bounds, and we have to
keep our quarterback safe because we've seen this. When our
quarterbacks get hurt, nobody cares to watch the games because
they're terrible. It's all Gardner Minshew on thirty six Teams
right clip that it was the nearest target. Thank you.
The final thing I want to say, Eddie, dear friend,

(19:52):
second level of my life, what's up man? Eddie dear
friend who claims he never looks at group chat or text,
never responds to them like he's like, I don't even
look at them. If you send in a group text,
just send it to me privately, because I'm too good
to look at a group text. I've never said I'm teking,
you know, but that's what you do.

Speaker 4 (20:13):
Because but if it doesn't concern me.

Speaker 1 (20:16):
Group, it concerns you. You're in a Dallas Cowboys group
with us, and they're all haters. You're in a whistles
betting group with the and I contribute to that. No
you don't. All of a sudden, we get a text
from Eddie with a video going happy Thanksgiving boys looking
at a parlay. The guy never even reads them, never
responds to them, but finally hits a one dollar bet

(20:37):
and wants everybody to know in the group text that
he pays no attention to. So pick a side. Either
you're part of the group in the text or you're not,
and if you're not, get out, and if you are,
we're happy to read and congratulate you. None of us
congratulated you because it wasn't that we weren't happy for
your parlay, because I think you hit like a ten

(20:58):
dollar ten one with a dollar. That's awesome. But it's
because you're such a douche when it comes to being
like I don't read group text.

Speaker 4 (21:05):
Look, man, the cowboys. One can't stand it. A bunch
of cowboys haters in there. Even though they say they're
big fans, they are big fans.

Speaker 1 (21:11):
Those are the biggest cowboy fans I know. But it's awesome.
Mike d's in it.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
Yeah, but it's also okay to poke. You poke, don't
like it, so I don't even read it. The whistles one.
I think there's a lot of good on Saturdays. That
text threat is booming. I like seeing what you guys are, watching,
what you think about.

Speaker 1 (21:28):
Never respond, you say you never respond.

Speaker 4 (21:30):
I don't respond.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
No, you don't tell everybode what you sent. And you
can brage for a second, but I'm just saying, low
class guys.

Speaker 4 (21:38):
I've made a seven game parlay again, and let me
tell you, this is the second that I've hit this season.

Speaker 1 (21:45):
I've never hit these big parlays.

Speaker 4 (21:48):
And what week two or three I hit a ten
gamer for three hundred dollars or something. You bet a dollar,
I bet one doll.

Speaker 6 (21:55):
Some wear it from you.

Speaker 1 (21:56):
Yeah, that's the group chat come around with. Times are good.
Don't be that friend. But that is so don't be friend.
Don't you think that's so impressive, dude. I have parties
all time, and I'll share them. I have parties like
you hit seven gamers. I've hit a couple of five
and six gamers for like three and four thousand dollars.
I don't share them. I share the occasional one if
I'm like, guys, what should I do?

Speaker 4 (22:17):
You should post those?

Speaker 1 (22:18):
No, But I'm also like invested in the group text
like in general, good times are bad times.

Speaker 4 (22:24):
I mean, I thought you guys wanted to see that.

Speaker 1 (22:26):
Johnny come lately. We don't like that. So pick you
can either be a part of it. That doesn't mean
you have to contribute every day, but you can be
a part of it and respond with like thumbs ups,
hajas or not.

Speaker 4 (22:38):
I'm in, Okay, I want in on this text route.

Speaker 7 (22:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (22:42):
But if I could get like three of them and
you're on all of them, yeah, you know I don't.

Speaker 1 (22:47):
I'm not a part of them. I don't want to
be a part of them. So you're in.

Speaker 4 (22:51):
Did your feelings hurt if I don't respond?

Speaker 1 (22:53):
We don't. But what we do go is what a
douchebag when you only do respond and it's only to
show them brag about something.

Speaker 4 (22:58):
What's funny is whenever you take me like, hey man,
they're asking you a question the text group, can you
respond right?

Speaker 1 (23:04):
Let me go back, And so it's like, hey man,
that really they need to know this, and he's like, oh, okay,
I'll go look, but all of a sudden he hops
on the first thing he finds it.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
What do we do?

Speaker 4 (23:16):
And I think I grouped you guys into my family
one because ever since my dad died and we went
to the funeral, I think all the cousins and uncles
got in this twenty person group.

Speaker 1 (23:24):
Dude, my phone doesn't stop buzzing. I'm not in that one,
I know. And I think you're just grouped into that. No,
that when and you're not using your dad dying is
a way that make they come on. So that's all
I'm saying. Pick a side, wolf, respect it. I'm in.
That's not fair. I'm in.

Speaker 4 (23:41):
I'm in as long as yeah, I'm in. I want
to be part of the girl. I like being part
of the group. And I now see the importance of
when you like want to celebrate some with your boys.

Speaker 1 (23:50):
You put in that text threat and you know what happened.
We didn't celebrate crap with nothing. We don't like you
in that text nothing. That's it.

Speaker 4 (23:57):
You called me out for not even responding, and then
Reid said you should have put more money on that.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
Boom cliped that clip, Well, I thought we were gonna
hit our parlay I thought Daddy would have to come
in and actually enforce it. Daddy. Yeah, Uh, Tennessee minus
eleven hit that one. South Carolina plus two and a
half hit that one hit that on a big and
I'm gonna be honest with you, I shouldn't let my

(24:23):
emotions get to me because I wanted to. You could
tell I wanted to go Texas, but I just couldn't
pick at It just wouldn't come out at Texas and
plus two and a half they lost, So that was
a parlay we missed again. But somebody hit me up
this weekend on Twitter and they were like, we're betting
the parlay again, thanks for nothing, And I'm like, guys,
we tell you don't bet it. Yeah, yeah, true. We

(24:44):
say it like we gave you specific bets we feel
good about, but the parlay, Like, what do you want
us to do? We're like, we're like one for ninety.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
But to be fair, I even bet port noise. I
think at one point I didn't hit that one either.
It's hard. It's hard, man, unless you go with me
on Sundays and seven.

Speaker 1 (25:02):
You're so stupid when you posted it, like I was
irrationally irritated at that I could tell because I was like,
what what is he doing? He talked about how he
doesn't want to be part of the group text, but
now he does when he likes to be celebrated. Scrolling down,
I didn't watch it.

Speaker 4 (25:15):
Well you didn't watch me. No, I'll resend it.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
No, no, thanks again?

Speaker 6 (25:19):
You were Was it you that said that you had
a bunch of like alternate spreads though?

Speaker 1 (25:22):
Didn't you know? Really?

Speaker 7 (25:24):
No?

Speaker 4 (25:24):
No, no, these are spreads welltime spreads.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
Oh never know. Somebody else text me this weekend actually
by somebody who get contribute responds, Yes, I get mixed
up sometimes select two more players and choose if they'll
have more or less of a stack. I'm telling you
that the DraftKings pick six is awesome. So you can
just do too, or you can do more. They'll have
more or less of a stat like receptions or touchdowns,
or like bow next tonight, more or less than two

(25:48):
hundred nineteen passing yards. It's for sure more. Bow Next
is about to be Rookie of the year. Rookie here
call him Roy Nicks more, Courtland Sutton more or less
than sixty more? Yeah, yeah, Cortland Sutton more. Because we're
aroys throwing on the ball. Let's go uh, Nick Chubb
more or less than fifty six rushing yards.

Speaker 4 (26:11):
Anything less on that.

Speaker 1 (26:12):
One and Broncos defense pretty good. It is I go
less on that one. David and Joku more or less
than forty six receiving yards. I don't have an opinion
on that one.

Speaker 4 (26:21):
Go less on that way.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
Last, but anyway, you can do this and you pick
when it's awesome. Download the new DraftKings Pick six app
and use the code Bobby Sports.

Speaker 1 (26:54):
And now to our interview with three times Super Bowl
champion New England Patriot Devin mccordy. Kevin, were you geeking
out of this or now hick. Yeah, as soon as
I saw him Papapa on the calendar, I like, what
I think about it being a patriot and you being
a Patriot. But boy, yeah that's right, because that's cool.
Devin played thirteen Yeah, that's cool. Yeah, that is cool.
I didn't think about that. Devin played thirteen years in

(27:16):
the NFL as a defensive back. He was named Patriots
All Dynasty Team and they're All twenty ten team. And
now he worked for Sunday and at football does radio
for Westwood One. Pretty cool here he is Devin mccordy. Hey,
Devin Man, good to meet you. Appreciate the time, No,
no problem. Hey, I am actually pretty good friends with
a guy you went to college with and played in

(27:37):
the pros Logan Ryan. Like that's that's like, my dude,
Like whenever you are play, I mean when you're in
college and you and Logant, you guys played together for
how many years?

Speaker 5 (27:47):
Just one year? Logan was there my last year and
so did you.

Speaker 1 (27:51):
Guys both feel like you had the skills to play
at the next level? And do you talk about that
as guys who are like projected to go to the
next level.

Speaker 7 (27:57):
I mean, I didn't when I first got to school,
but time Logan was there, Yeah, I knew my brother
was already in the NFL, but low came in as
like a four star recruit, so it was it was
actually pretty cool. I moved my seat back in the
meeting to sit between Logan and another corner. We had
to try to teach them everything I knew in my
last year before leaving.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
So whenever you get up and you know you guys
are both Rutgers guys, do you try to is he
receptive to learning then what you have just learned or
does every rookie kind of got to learn themselves a
hard way?

Speaker 7 (28:29):
No, Logan was really good when he came in as
a freshman. He was like, man like, teach me everything
you know. And then obviously fast forward how he came to.

Speaker 5 (28:38):
New England the same way.

Speaker 7 (28:40):
And then it was cool for me to see once
he left New England like he became that guy for
all of his other teammates, the leader, the kind of
example to set, you know, for everybody in a defensive room.

Speaker 5 (28:51):
So it was really cool to see him do that.

Speaker 1 (28:53):
A few months ago, was down at his house and
he's got a pickleball court, like right out the middle
of everything. He likes to dominate people at pickleball now
because he had to find that do what is your
what is your athletic outlet now that you will train
or beat people in to feel good, just.

Speaker 7 (29:07):
Really working out. I'll go down in the basement and
work out and I'll still do stuff like that. But
other than that, on vacation, you know what we'll do.
We'll play pool volleyball. And my wife got mad because
I cut her off the team when we're in Mexico,
but picked up picked up a free agent. It was
it was critical to our team's success. And I told
her she'll understand because when I win, she wins. But

(29:30):
she she wasn't too happy.

Speaker 1 (29:32):
When you were a kid, were you ultra competitive?

Speaker 5 (29:35):
Yeah, when you.

Speaker 7 (29:35):
Grew up with a twin, like we were competitive, and like,
we'll play basketball and not keep score and legit, we'll
play basketball one on one outside for three hours, or
we play video games non stop until my mom told
us either we turned off the video game where she
was gonna break the whole thing. We would just we
would just go out and as much as we went

(29:55):
out at one on one usually behind closed door with
just us. We'll be each other's biggest teammates. But from
that standpoint, I think it kind of built the foundation
of never really letting someone be better than you and
out competing them and everything we did because you just
naturally had a competitor with you and everything that you
would pick up and do.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
When I think about you, obviously, I think about the Patriots,
and I wonder as a guy who played at such
a high level won super Bowls when you have a
season like this season with the Patriots and you love them,
you were a part of them, and there is Hey,
it's hard to root against your team, but you also
know that if your team loses, you'll have you'll have
better draft picks. Like where do you fall with your

(30:37):
love for the team and also your love for your
team getting better because sometimes they don't match.

Speaker 5 (30:42):
Yeah, man, it's it's hard.

Speaker 7 (30:44):
And I think the biggest thing you want when you're
looking at a team that you you know you're a
fan of, is you want the foundation to be set.
And I think for the Patriots, you're trying to establish
that this year. And I know it's been so much
back and forth of you know, the expectations and what
people want, and you know, I think for me coming
into this season, I'm like, if this team wins five
or six games, that to me would have been a

(31:07):
success story because where they were last year, everything that
kind of transpiring. And then the season starts and they
lose some key guys to injuries. They're struggling. I think
the key is you start to look ahead. You look
to see, all right, who's in a draft that might
help this team? How can they get better in multiple
places as a trading back and getting you know, five

(31:29):
players instead of getting two players.

Speaker 5 (31:31):
They're really trying to figure it out.

Speaker 7 (31:32):
I think the cool thing is doing the football stuff
is I follow the Patriots, but I don't get to
be like fully In doles in just the Patriots, trying
to watch every other team and then honestly watching the
good teams. And right now, my guys up in New
England are not one of the good teams that you
need to be watching week after week. But it's fun
now I get to watch their journey with a lot

(31:54):
of my friends leading and seeing what they're able to do.

Speaker 5 (31:57):
So it's been a journey this year, not a not
a fun one to watch.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
Though, so maybe not a fun one to watch either.
But you are a professional. Do you root against the
Chiefs because you don't want them to out dynasty you?

Speaker 5 (32:07):
I actually don't.

Speaker 7 (32:08):
I think it's unique to be able to watch a
team do so many different things, and it's fun for
me every week to go on and compare some of
the things that they're doing to what we were able
to do in all of the years I was on
the Patriots. The ability to win games so many different ways,
but also to win games and be talked about them
not winning by enough. Like I've watched them sports things

(32:31):
and they'll pull up and they like the Chiefs points
differential isn't high enough to make them one of the
better teams in the league, And I'm like, who, Like
you think the Chiefs care about how many points they
win by?

Speaker 5 (32:42):
To me, they're the most feared team in the league.
No one wants to play them in the playoffs.

Speaker 7 (32:46):
But I honestly, for one, it gives me something to
talk about, gives me a reason I have a job
because of what we were able to do, and and
it gives me a platform to talk about it and
compare it. So I'm not one of those guys. I
think history and what you're able to do, it's meant
to be broken or meant to be mentioned with other people.
And watching what the Chiefs were able to do are
able to do right now has been a lot of fun.

(33:08):
I don't I don't see it as like how do
we continue to elevate our voices by being done? And
I know, like the undefeated Dolphins team toast every year
when the team loses all that's been undefeated throughout the season.
But for me, I think what they're doing is it's
it's awesome to see uh and fun to break down.
They're defining all odds.

Speaker 1 (33:28):
Speaking of things that have just been fun to talk about.
We can go either New York team, So let's go
Jets first. I don't even know where to start. We
can go Rogers, we can go Sala, who is now
you know over there working with the pack, Like, what
is happening with the Jets and what in the world
can they do to be good in the next few years?

Speaker 5 (33:46):
Isn't it funny?

Speaker 7 (33:47):
Though? We talked about the Jets and we were like,
you know, so many people were like, Sala, he's the problem.

Speaker 5 (33:52):
Get rid of Sola. This team was bad before.

Speaker 7 (33:56):
But when Robert Sala was fired, they were one win
going Monday night game against Buffalo from being the division leaders.
Since he's been fired, this whole thing has went even
more downhill.

Speaker 5 (34:10):
And I know I live in New.

Speaker 7 (34:12):
Jersey, so what people say and all of that stuff,
they are all over this has nothing to do with Salah,
but you got to give the guy some credit.

Speaker 5 (34:19):
The people think he was a poor leader and all
of this.

Speaker 7 (34:22):
This team looks terrible now, and to me, it just
shines a light on what we see throughout the NFL.
A lot of times, is the head coach a general manager,
they don't get to make the ultimate decisions.

Speaker 1 (34:33):
It's the owner.

Speaker 7 (34:34):
And Woody Johnson has put himself back in kind of
the spotlight of Hey, we're gonna get rid of Sala,
We're gonna get rid of Douglas. Hey. And by the way,
I was the guy I wanted to bench Aaron Rodgers
right around Week four.

Speaker 5 (34:46):
So this team, to me is a disaster.

Speaker 7 (34:49):
And you know, I was just on a Pro Football
talk with Mike Florio and his thing is you fire
Mike Tannenbaum years ago, and now you hire Mike Tannebaum's
media company need to help you put out the head
coach and general manager search and figure out how that's
all going to work out. It It just makes no sense.
It seems like the Jets. And it's sad to say,

(35:11):
because I think they have one of the best fan
bases in the NFL of people just wanting to support
and waiting for this team to do well. And they
all thought last year was a year you go get
Aaron Rodgers. Everything's supposed to take care of himself. He
gets hurt, he comes back this year and it's even worse.
Like to think about how this team could get any worse,
is I mean, it's crazy. But I think for this team,

(35:34):
it'll be attractive to general managers and head coaches because
they have a lot of talent. The thing they have
to figure out is does anyone want to come in
and work under Woody Johnson right now?

Speaker 5 (35:45):
Like that that is the issue. But you pay guys well.

Speaker 7 (35:48):
Enough and they're well compensated, they'll come in and do
their job and try to figure it out. But there's
a good amount of talent on this Jets team. They
got to figure out what they're going to do at
quarterback next year. Is he going to be Aaron Rodgers,
are they going to move on? And some other places.
You look at Breise Hall, you let Garrel Wilson, You
look at the guys on this defense.

Speaker 5 (36:05):
They have talent.

Speaker 7 (36:07):
They just can never figure out how to get this
ship pointed in the right direction. And it's plagued this
franchise for years and just seems like you're still scratching
your head and wondering where will this thing go and
when will they ever get it figured out?

Speaker 1 (36:21):
Who would you rather coach Underwoody Johnson or Jerry Jones.

Speaker 5 (36:25):
I think Jerry Jones.

Speaker 7 (36:28):
I think Jerry Jones from this standpoint of He's done
really well in the draft. The Cowboys have, like when
you look at the guys they draft, they have talent,
and I think one of the biggest things that will
stick out is they have a quarterback.

Speaker 5 (36:42):
Dak Prescott is there.

Speaker 7 (36:43):
So if I'm gonna go and have to deal with
an owner, I think I'm gonna go deal with Jerry Jones,
who at least will be front and center taking questions saying, hey,
the general manager's not going anywhere because I'm the general manager.

Speaker 5 (36:57):
I'm not firing me.

Speaker 7 (36:59):
But if you want a credit side somebody on what
pre agency we have, how the team's been built.

Speaker 5 (37:04):
I'm Jerry Jones, I'm the general manager.

Speaker 7 (37:06):
Like, I rather deal with that than somebody pulling me
into the office and saying do this, do that, do this,
and then it all coming down on me. No, Like,
if we're in this together and you're going to be
making decisions, go out there and make the decision. I
might not like it or agree with it, but at
least it's your decision and it's.

Speaker 5 (37:22):
Known to everybody.

Speaker 7 (37:23):
Rather than me having to be the guy that's pulling
a string, well not pulling the strings, but actually having
my strings pulled in different directions.

Speaker 5 (37:31):
I'd rather not have to go through that one.

Speaker 1 (37:33):
This will be pure speculation on your part. But they
just agree to pay Dak fifty million bucks a year.
Any chance they move on from Dak if they're able
to have that one two or three draft pick, and
you know should or Sanders is one, cam Warden, I mean,
would the Cowboys do that? Any chance?

Speaker 5 (37:52):
It would be hard?

Speaker 7 (37:52):
I think, like when you when you first signed a contract,
Like the amount of money that they would lose and
they would have to eat and guarantee and cap and
dead cap and all of that stuff.

Speaker 5 (38:02):
However, all of those numbers get worked out. It's above
my pay grade.

Speaker 7 (38:06):
But once you figure all that in, I don't think
there's a way that they can, you know, get rid
of Dak Prescott this year. The interesting thing will be
if they get a chance, do they try to draft
a guy that they see for the future.

Speaker 5 (38:19):
If there's a guy who falls in the draft, there's.

Speaker 7 (38:22):
Something like that and they or yeah, it falls at
the end of the first round and they trade back
up in the first round, do they do something like
that like we saw Green Bay do when they drafted
Jordan Love in the later rounds. I think it was
twenty third when they drafted him. With that pick, it
was kind of like, Okay, we're drafting the successor to
Aaron Rodgers. Now, obviously it created a storm in Green

(38:43):
Bay drafting him, but I think that will be an
interesting thing. But the problem with that is it shows
a dysfunction. You just pay a guy all that money
and then you draft a guy for the future. It
doesn't make much sense. But I think when you talk
about the Cowboys and you talk about the j just
like I don't think it has to make sense.

Speaker 5 (39:02):
They could easily do something like that and none of
us would be surprised.

Speaker 1 (39:06):
I mean, Atlanta kind of just did that right with Cousins,
and then I mean even if you look back at
Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love, like Rogers got all pussy
when they drafted Jordan Love. I mean, so it has
been done, and I would say the Packers are actually
a team we expect to win. The Falcons maybe not
so much, but yeah, I mean after all that and
making Dak wait in the last minute fifty million a

(39:29):
year and then draft and another quarterback, Like, but that
would be that. I don't know if I get to
your Cowboys fan, how would you feel about that? I mean,
I like it.

Speaker 4 (39:37):
Because we're not doing anything right now anyway, but that
I feel like if that were Deck, I wouldn't like
that one bit.

Speaker 1 (39:44):
You ever get drafted and that's it.

Speaker 7 (39:47):
I was just gonna say, and that's the thing with
the Cowboys, Like, is this move gonna make you a
better football team and win?

Speaker 5 (39:55):
Probably not, But is the move gonna get you talked
about on every network every.

Speaker 7 (39:58):
Single day of the week. Yeah, it's definitely gonna do it.
And we've seen over the last twenty something years that
has seemed to be one of the main things that
Cowboys look for. They make a ton of money because
they're always talked about their America's team all of that.
I don't know if winning is as important to the
Cowboys as everyone thinks that it is, especially their fan base.
I think their fan base thinks winning is important, but

(40:19):
I'm not sure inside that building in the higher Roughs
offices that they care as much about winning or selling
tickets or merchandise.

Speaker 1 (40:27):
You ever get drafted behind the meaning they drafted on
the dB, maybe not to replace you, but you felt like, dang,
they just drafted somebody up and spent a good pick
on them to play my position. How did that feel
to you?

Speaker 5 (40:36):
Man?

Speaker 7 (40:37):
Every year you're watching the draft and everybody thinks that
you're watching to see who you get to make you better?
Are you just trying to see are they trying to
get me out of the door. They didn't let him
on replacement? Are they going younger?

Speaker 5 (40:47):
Like that's what guys watched the draft about.

Speaker 7 (40:49):
So yeah, there was plenty of times that there were
guys being drafted in a the dB room and I'll
be like, all right, like I gotta go even my
guys from Rutgers when Logan Ryan and Deron Harmon got
drafted in the third round, Like, I know that I
knew those guys personally.

Speaker 5 (41:03):
I knew they were smart, tough, good football players. I'm like,
I got it. I gotta get going.

Speaker 7 (41:08):
I gotta make sure I stay young and I continue
to grind in the offseason because every year teams are
trying to get younger, and especially as you get to
the second contract and you're making more money, if they
can find a guy that's just you know, maybe not
as good as you right now, but eventually they think
will be better. You can you can seal it, like
they're gonna get rid of you, they're gonna move on.

(41:29):
So every year in the NFL it's a fight for
older guys to stay young and try to keep your job.

Speaker 5 (41:34):
So I'm sure you know, I don't think Kirk Cousins
was happy.

Speaker 7 (41:37):
It kind of came out a little bit this year,
but he signed at Lanta and then you draft Michael
Pennick junior. And I know, right now they seem to
be in a good spot because of the wins they
banked earlier in the season, but they haven't been playing
their best ball.

Speaker 5 (41:49):
So if they fall out of playoff contention, like, there's
no saying.

Speaker 7 (41:52):
They don't say, hey, let's start this Michael Pennick's journey
earlier than later, so you can't control it. One thing
I've always done is I've always tried to be a
great teammates to all the younger guys because they're not
Their job is to come in and take your job.
They want to do the same thing you were able
to do when you were a young guy. So the
thing is as a player, you got to go be better.

(42:14):
You can't get mad. And you've heard stories of veterans
withholding information or not helping guys and different things like that.
That to me, that never works out. That young guy's
better than you. Eventually he's going to figure it out.
He's going to take your spot. You're not helping the
cause by just being an a hole to him. You
might as well help the guy out and pass on
what guys did.

Speaker 5 (42:32):
Before you as well.

Speaker 1 (42:34):
Jamis Winston is very much a TikTok quarterback and that
he's just funny and clips like I love watching Jamison
clips on TikTok post game during game. The clip of
him going somebody jump off sides. Come on, He's like
screaming at the line Like Jamis seems like a guy
that everybody in the locker room likes, Like who is that?
And it could be a quarterback you played against or
one that was on your team that was just so

(42:55):
freaking lovable it was lovable.

Speaker 7 (42:57):
Well one I'll say this too about Jamis, what would
happen if Cleveland season that they would have put Jamis
in earlier. Not to say he's the greatest thing ever,
but you just said it. The energy, the way the
team reacts to him, it just seems like that would
have taken off and helped his Browns team. But I'll
name to one of the guys that I love playing
against was Philip Rivers never cursed on the field, talk

(43:18):
trash all the time.

Speaker 5 (43:19):
But here you had this guy who had like eight
or nine kids and he never cursed. It's like, how
do you not get that man? The one you go
from at home yelling.

Speaker 7 (43:27):
At kids all day, then guys are chasing you, hitting you,
and you still don't curse.

Speaker 5 (43:32):
It was so impressive to see like that was he
was that guy.

Speaker 7 (43:36):
And one of the other guys to me is one
of the more obvious guys by having Gronk as a teammate,
like Gronk was the guy that did everything that coach
Belichick would say we don't want to do and just
never got in trouble for it. Like you get mad
at him because he was out somewhere and he starts
dancing or acting a fool, and it'd be like the
one thing Bill said, all right, this weekend, guys, let's

(43:58):
lay low.

Speaker 5 (43:58):
Or blah blah blah.

Speaker 7 (44:00):
Gronk would be all over social media, all over some websites,
and Bill would come in and he would go to like,
get on Gronk, and Gronk would give some kind of
answer and Bill would start laughing. The whole room would
start cracking up like that was just Gronk, his soundbites,
everything about him was always fun in games. He was
that one teammate that you knew it would be instant laughs,

(44:22):
but you also knew what you got on the field.
He was going to be a problem for any team
to have to deal with.

Speaker 1 (44:27):
Two final questions, You ever pick Brady off in practice?

Speaker 5 (44:31):
Of course?

Speaker 7 (44:32):
And I kept the ball, and I think Brady off
every single time I didn't do I didn't do like Logan.
Did you know Logan signed off that last ball and
we saw it on social media for like the next
six months and telling us how he ended Tom Brady's
career in New England. So, nah, Man, anytime you pick
off Brady, you know that's a.

Speaker 1 (44:50):
Special one final question because Sunday that football you're great
and you're also doing the west Wood One the broadcast,
They're like, what have you learned about this part of
the business that maybe you didn't until you got into it.

Speaker 7 (45:01):
Man, the end of player, how many times you hear
the media is bad, this guy's gonna do this, She's
gonna say that.

Speaker 5 (45:10):
Blah blah blah blah blah.

Speaker 7 (45:12):
When you're on the outside and you're sitting in all
of these meetings or you get to meet different people
and you get to know them, everybody's best friends with
the media, the head coaches, the general managers, the owners.
As a player, you don't know that inside information gets leaked.
I used to wonder, like, man, who's the guy in
the locker room that's talking to these guys telling them everything?

Speaker 5 (45:33):
And I didn't know it was the damn team.

Speaker 7 (45:35):
The team was telling all of the things that they
wanted out there, and now that I'm in the media,
I see how it works. And as a player, you
had no idea these people who are insiders and different
things like that. They're best friends, are your coaches, your
head coaches, your position coaches, your GM So that was
something that I felt like when I got into the media,

(45:56):
I was like, man, I'm in the inner circle. Now
I know all of the goods. I know more than
I ever knew.

Speaker 5 (46:02):
As a player.

Speaker 7 (46:02):
So it's it's definitely different when you think of it
as a player in that perspective and now being done
and fully being involved in it.

Speaker 1 (46:11):
And we mentioned this before you came on, but uh,
if you listening to this, you can go to mccordy
twins dot com to see all the work that Devin
and Jason do for their local communities and charities and
how you can be involved. And dude, you're doing awesome.
You're freaking great and all the work do you do,
even like going on as guests, but you know you're
signing that football stuff. So we appreciate the time you
gave us. We'll be watching, keep up the good work,

(46:32):
and hopefully we'll talk to you again soon.

Speaker 5 (46:34):
Appreciate it, man, thanks for having me on today.

Speaker 1 (46:36):
Thanks to having we can share our personal stories. I'll
go first. Missouri beat US. We suck. We went six
and six. We lost to Oklahoma State. Those a stupid game.
Oklama State didn't win a conference game this year. I'm
so just I'm almost apathetic, except it can't be because
I just love Arkansas Ready to BA football in Arkansas
sports so much. It just what's the use?

Speaker 4 (46:58):
What's the use o camera? Wait?

Speaker 1 (47:01):
A big fight in Thanksgiving and it all was rooted
to me being pissed about the game.

Speaker 4 (47:03):
Who got into a fight?

Speaker 1 (47:04):
Me and everybody, the whole family. I stormed out, went upstairs.
And it wasn't just about the game. But that's what
triggered me. I was that guy. I was like, you, guys,
just don't understand. What did say? Well, she wasn't very
happy about it.

Speaker 4 (47:18):
Was she on your side?

Speaker 1 (47:19):
Though she was on your side, there was no side.
What did you say? It doesn't matter. I don't eve
want to relive it because it was bad and I
was so pissed at every that was the world. And
I was like, guys, please don't trigger me. I even
begged please don't trigger me.

Speaker 4 (47:31):
Were they messing with you a little bit?

Speaker 1 (47:33):
Not even about that, It's about something else. But I
was like, I've had a rough one, don't.

Speaker 4 (47:40):
I I understand. I'm laughing because I understand, dude, I understand.

Speaker 1 (47:43):
I begged him, please don't. And then we lost. We
lost basketball too, to Illinois, and that's bad. I was like,
please don't, please don't, please don't, because guess it's not
going to be good, like I know the evil monster
that lives inside. And it wasn't. It was about something
completely different, and I went, it was not good. Oh no,
how long were you in your room? I went up
to my room about four. I didn't come out to

(48:03):
the next day. By the way, I wasn't even I
wasn't even in my house. I was at their house.

Speaker 6 (48:12):
You're running away?

Speaker 1 (48:15):
What are you doing? Yeah? It sucked, guys, and I'm
not happy with it, but I understand it. And you
know what, I forgive me for it. It just asked
you to pass the turkey.

Speaker 7 (48:28):
Man.

Speaker 1 (48:28):
It's not good, but it's it. I And every year
I'm like, why do I give so much of like
my heart, soul, passion to something that doesn't care about me?
But I do, and we're six and six some bad losses.
We got that one lucky Tennessee win. Happy for it,

(48:49):
but we're not going to make any changes and that sucks.
And I've said before, I think my comparison last week
was I compared coach Pittman, who I like as a
person a lot, to Geno Smith, who's a fine enough quarterback.
And do you know how a good in winning the game? Yeah? Yeah,
But again, there's a ceiling. There's a ceiling. And I

(49:09):
think Pittman has changed the culture, which is great because
we were under coach Morris was not good. But and
if he wants one more year or great, but it's not.
I mean, we're not gonna win eight or nine games
next year. But yeah, I know, I don't. I don't
like that. But anyway, Missouri beat us, and they beat us.
It's snow game, right, there's snow game.

Speaker 6 (49:29):
What were your expectations coming into the year, Like, if
you would have said six and six, would you have
been like, okay, probably six.

Speaker 1 (49:35):
And six if you just at the beginning of the year,
I've been like, based on what we have, okay. But
here's the problem that I have with all these media
people in Arkansas first of all, their state run media
because they know and I understand if they talk about
out arkansall, they won't have credential to go to the stuff.
And that's the only thing in town. Yeah, so I
completely understand. Like there are two guys I like Bo

(49:55):
and Chuck who work for the university, but they also
do a radio show and they're always like, hey, hey,
you get what a game. We really put hard and
soul into it, and like they're people are like, you're
propagandaing the state. It's like, no, their paychecks come from
the university aside from the radio thing. But I would
do that too, I think where I don't have to
do that, So I don't if you would have said

(50:17):
six six the beginning of the year, I'd have been like,
I don't like that. But I understand it because I
think five and a half was what Vegas had put
the line at, maybe even four and a half. I'm
not sure, but to see how week some of the
teams were we played, it's it's different now that we've
had the season. We should not have lost to Oklahoma State.
That game was a disaster. We should not have lost
to Missouri. That's a bad Game two. We gave it

(50:39):
up at the end. Listen, we had Texas A and
M on the ropes. And you're not gonna win every game.
You're always when people are like, we're three plays away
from nine, okay, just even one of the three, and
then you're seven and five with a chance to have
a like, that's a different Seven to five is different
than six and six, if it's regardless. I'm sorry for Thanksgiving.

(51:03):
I want to know so bad now. Don't have my please,
I won't trust me. I don't want to because I
don't want to have it happening again. She was like,
you talked about it with Eddie. I don't want it.

Speaker 4 (51:12):
No, I won't bring it up. I tell you about
that time when it was I think our things. No,
it might have been Christmas with my family and just
the cousins, because, like we, my wife's family has a
bunch of cousins and one of her sisters married a
guy who his I don't know. His grandfather went to
Clemson or something. So the family's big Clemson fans, and
so when Clemson and Ohio State were playing I'm like

(51:33):
six years ago, the cousins were like, let's go Ohio State,
Ohio State, and the whole family got so mad. They
did they did what you did. They locked themselves in their.

Speaker 1 (51:42):
Room on purpose. Yes, you can't, you can't do that.
You can't do that. Kids, they're like six, seven, eight
years old. Yeah, yeah, they're idiot. But they did go
into their room and watch the game by themselves and
watch my games. Though I just sat and watched TikTok
for like eleven hours. I just knew that the best
place for me was around nobody. And now again I

(52:04):
wasn't even my own house. I went into a guest
room at another person's house and just regardless, I wrote
this tweet. This is right after the game. Hey Missoo,
you own us. We act like it's not a rivalry
because it's not. You whoop us right on schedule practically
every year. No rivalry there. Please keep trolling us every
year We'll get outraged, rinse and repeat signed entire state

(52:27):
of Arkansas because they're four and one against us. Drink
comes in, he trolls us every year, hilarious by the way,
and win and he wins. And a lot of people
can't believe you'd write that. Yeah, yeah, I wrote that.

Speaker 4 (52:40):
It sucksom Yeah.

Speaker 1 (52:43):
In the dark, Candle's lid so stupid. That was my thing.
It's a bad one.

Speaker 4 (52:50):
It's tough.

Speaker 1 (52:51):
It's tough. Hey about those jeffs Casey.

Speaker 6 (52:53):
Oh yeah.

Speaker 9 (52:54):
Actually I'm kind of happy though that they.

Speaker 1 (52:56):
Lost lower draft pick, better draft pic now draft pick.

Speaker 9 (52:59):
But Seattle really wanted to give that game to us.
They had like two muff punts, but leave it to
old Aaron Rodgers and throw a little pick six.

Speaker 4 (53:05):
It was pretty good.

Speaker 1 (53:08):
There was play, he was moving around.

Speaker 9 (53:10):
It wasn't a complete pass because he threw it in
the dirt because he can't throw anymore, but you know,
it was still a valiant effort block was that?

Speaker 1 (53:16):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (53:17):
Threw Yeah, yeah, that Kevin's forty one sounds great.

Speaker 1 (53:22):
So, I if you're if I'm a Jets fan, I
like what happened. Yes, I always root for the team,
but I think like the like with Missouri, I was
rooting for us to be Missouri like, but then when
we lost, I'm like, you know what, maybe this will
affect some change.

Speaker 5 (53:37):
Is something strange?

Speaker 1 (53:38):
Right? Yeah? Barba Treno was like one of the head
candidates to be the Charlottete football coach off at the coordinator.
Where that suck. If you left Kevin, you had kind
of the best case scenarios. Yes, you bet played your
hearts out. Your quarterback looked great, awesome, and then Anthony
Richard was awesome too.

Speaker 6 (53:53):
Yeah, and it's funny. My my brother and my dad
were texting the whole game, like, oh my god, why
aren't they doing this? Doing this? And in my head
I was like I was even responding, so I was like,
you guys understand, like this is good for us. Drake
May looked awesome, their offense looked great, defense look suspect
at some points, and then we lost the game. Like
when we two, I was like, please get it. Yeah,
it's great, which is so weird. It's taking me, I

(54:15):
don't know, ten eleven weeks to get here, but I
am in full next year rebuild, Like let's get that
draft pick.

Speaker 1 (54:20):
You don't want Drake May to get hurt. You like
for him to still look great, which he has been
he's before the game. I'm not sure we ended up with.
He was more yards per carry than Michael Vick during
his best Yeah, like running ye crazy, congratulations on your loss,
thank you, congratulation, and lost, thank you?

Speaker 5 (54:34):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (54:35):
How about the Cowboys. Yeah we won, I know again
great And Michael Parsons is like, we're making the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (54:43):
Michasoft he's eating a chicken wing when he says that.

Speaker 1 (54:47):
Let me ask you this question because I've never getting
me up on the Cowboys that he has a long
time ago. The Mangles lost again, so they're pretty much
out of it, so they may be a bit deflated.
I mean, if the Cowboys can can, if they can
beat the Bengals and they got the Panthers after that.

Speaker 4 (55:02):
Let's have fun. Although the Panters, the Panthers don't look
bad like the Panthers.

Speaker 1 (55:07):
Like almost want to touchdowns.

Speaker 4 (55:10):
So that's a little to me.

Speaker 1 (55:11):
That's scarier than the Bengals. Now coming on, I'm not scarier, No, yeah,
scar Joe Burrows are still scoring one hundred points. They
just can't stop anybody. How about your Cowboys win? What
if they win two?

Speaker 4 (55:24):
More? Like, I don't know, dude, this is crazy, but
I am like Kevin, Like Kevin said, I'm having more
fun watching games like this where if we don't we're
not expected to make the playoffs, So I'm kind of
having fun with it, Like I can enjoy the game
they almost blew it at the end. Again, I'm like, hey,
they blow it. It's fine, a big deal. They're playing
Drew Locke in the New York Giants, but they want

(55:44):
it was cool.

Speaker 1 (55:45):
I got to walk down and get something for lunch
from the grocery store downstairs? Did you not care what
I was talking about? I gave up like halfway through.
We're going, well, we're going to the play. I'm gonna
tell you why because you gave up weeks ago and
anything positive. So all I'm thinking is that therapy at

(56:05):
one point thirty, and I have to get an allergy
shot right before that, and I'm trying to figure out
if I can get to downstairs to get something to
eat real quick before I do that.

Speaker 4 (56:14):
Let's wrap it up.

Speaker 1 (56:17):
I mean, I have so much more talk about. I
pooped on the cushion at the house. Oh is that
that neuro virus? I just flipped the cushion over. You
didn't tell anyone. I did know. I just flipped the
cushion over. Oh my can run. You're gonna hit an.

Speaker 4 (56:28):
Aisle da Well.

Speaker 1 (56:29):
I couldn't find the dog cleaner. I was gonna blame
on the dog, so I just flipped the cushion over
because now I, well, what was that out of anger
as well? No, it wasn't flip the roost, and so
I flipped it. But then now I got to find
a way to blame an on the dog somehow. In
the next couple of weeks, I wrote that down. Okay, Mike,
do we need a break real quick? Yeah, it's do
it right break. Okay, that's gonna pretty much do it

(56:57):
here on the show. By the way, we can highlight
game of the week because we you know, we don't
spend the stop talking about games, but highlight game of
the week for you, Kevin, Like, what was the craziest game?

Speaker 6 (57:09):
I want to see the eight overtime, but I kind
of got over it a little bit, I guess, so
probably the Michigan Ohiose State, just because the upset was
so big.

Speaker 1 (57:16):
It's so big in the fight, it's in the fight.
It's so big that even if Ohio State wins the
national championship, like that's still cool and all, but twenty
two percent of it doesn't matter as much anymore because
Michigan just beat them.

Speaker 6 (57:27):
Yeah, like their season already feels like it's done.

Speaker 1 (57:30):
Ryan Day one and four. Oh suck uh, Yeah, that's
a good one. Another thing, I was thinking about the flags,
because you know they're gonna say no more big flags.
You know what I would do? So when you do
one like they mo they put little sprinkled head flags,
the little one, what I would do is get a
bunch of little ones and then I would everybody start
playing little ones around the field all a sudden, got
a hundred yeah, when no one sees it, and then

(57:50):
all of a sudden they're like, why are there Michigan
little flags all over the irrigation flag. Yes, that's what
you do. No one even notices. So that would be
my next move.

Speaker 5 (57:59):
There.

Speaker 1 (57:59):
Pretty good Eddie game.

Speaker 4 (58:00):
Oh I think it's Georgia Georgia Tech, just because at
the end I put ten dollars on Georgia Tech, and man,
I mean I just I just felt like it was
going to happen. And then every time like oh Georgia scores,
Oh Georgia score, Georgia Tech scores, and like nothing, nothing.

Speaker 1 (58:14):
It was just awesome.

Speaker 4 (58:15):
Following eight overtimes.

Speaker 1 (58:16):
I loved it. I wish you would have texted as
that winning bed I didn't win it exactly.

Speaker 4 (58:22):
If I would have won it any point, did you now?
I had Georgia Tech just to just money line, got it,
gotta get Yeah, I would have texted you guys though.

Speaker 9 (58:32):
How about the Bears butchering that last game decision against
the Lions.

Speaker 1 (58:37):
And then ibra Flus goes in the post game, Oh yeah,
stand by it. I think we did the right thing.
And then he has a press conference the next morning
and they fire him right after the press office. I
can't believe they let him have astof first time.

Speaker 4 (58:48):
In franchise history or something like one hundred years.

Speaker 1 (58:51):
They did it once before, like one hundred years ago,
because like they're coach a coach like five games. But
he wanted to like do something. It was some weird
like one hundred years go rule. It was like I
wanted to turn butter so he stop. Yeah, something like that. Yeah,
that was a crazy one. There were so I'll say this,
the Bills are really good. Yeah. If you have Josh

(59:13):
Allen your fantasy team, congratulations, he got two touchdowns at once.
I've never seen that happen before. Dude, I've never said this,
but I felt bad for the forty nine ers. They
looked so bad. Well, Christian McCaffrey like slides by the way,
if you haven't injured anything and you're playing snow and ice,
I'm just going back right hindsight twenty twenty because he
takes off around the right side, he goes nope and
just slides down. It's like, I'm done. Yep, he's been

(59:34):
done for the year. They said he's probably done for
the year.

Speaker 10 (59:36):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (59:37):
I mean there's seasons over that way.

Speaker 1 (59:39):
Yes, yeah, So my game, oh man, I love Syracuse
beating Miami. That was awesome, such especially the coach at
the end going like Dabo, you're in, You're in. Yeah,
we'll get to play in the in the AC Championship game.
How about that Chiefs Raiders game too?

Speaker 4 (59:56):
That and then ended up I know right, you.

Speaker 1 (59:58):
Know, you know we can still make the College wall off? Yeah? Yeah,
what game? Would it be cool?

Speaker 6 (01:00:04):
South Carolina?

Speaker 10 (01:00:05):
That was it?

Speaker 1 (01:00:05):
Thank you?

Speaker 10 (01:00:06):
That was it?

Speaker 1 (01:00:07):
So because it has something to say about it, go
go game, Cocks, and I hope there are three lost
team that gets in and so they go and they
be clumbson it's awesome and whatever I've been and I
tweeted put South Carolina in with three losses just because
they've been as hot as anybody, and just be fun
because they're not Alabama, and although I route for Alabama,
but I'd love it. And I've been texting with a

(01:00:29):
couple of coaches. Yeah, I've been talking with a Beamer.
Oh really, it's so funny, dude. They think I have
like a bunch of influence. I don't. And they're just
also fun. Like I know the offensive coordinator, uh, because
he used to be at Arkansas Dal Loggins. And then
I went texta with a Beemer and I know I

(01:00:49):
know a couple people in the college Football Playoff Committee
and I don't know. I'm just like, yeah, let him know.
Let me see what's to get you guys in. But
I like Beamer Sa Biemer a lot.

Speaker 3 (01:01:04):
He's awesome.

Speaker 1 (01:01:05):
He's awesome. That's it. We're done. I gotta get some lunch,
more good allergy shots. I'm gonna go to therapy. Well,
I gotta work out.

Speaker 4 (01:01:16):
I still got to work out.

Speaker 1 (01:01:18):
I got stuff that we didn't get to today that
it doesn't matter, we'll get to it next show. We
do have Joy Logano coming up. Yeah, the race car
driver later on this week, riverboat Ron. Oh, yes, next week,
I think unless we double up this week, I don't know.
Thank you guys.

Speaker 8 (01:01:35):
And by the way, Reid, go ahead, Hey everybody, I
just want to say, right now, go and search Bobby
Bone Sports on YouTube. It's gonna have some very very
unique content on it. It's gonna have the best content
you've ever seen, actually all sports, all sports content.

Speaker 1 (01:01:50):
Here's the problem we got into because we had the
Boybones channel, but it was like Bobby cast stuff. It
was a bunch of con but that YouTube didn't know
who to like send it to. So they because it's
been so so long, like a music channel, so they
would send the sports stuff to the music people and
they were like, why we want to see this. So
you got to kind of build and stay consistent, and
so reads like, I don't know, dude, we should probably

(01:02:11):
just do a different channel.

Speaker 7 (01:02:12):
I know.

Speaker 8 (01:02:12):
It sucks, we're gonna have to rebuild it, but it's
gonna have all sports channel still exists though, yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:02:17):
Yeah, by Bones channels there for Bobby Cast all that stuff,
but this is gonna be unique to just sports. It's
gonna be high quality content. And if any video gets
up one hundred thousand views, I will show my penis.

Speaker 4 (01:02:28):
Oh that's the special content.

Speaker 8 (01:02:31):
If you go subscribe, if you're a diehard.

Speaker 1 (01:02:33):
You don't let me finish to Eddie. Okay, all right, reads.

Speaker 8 (01:02:40):
I was just gonna say, if you're a diehard sports
fan and you do go subscribe to it, go to
the welcome video and comment, and your boy is going
to be giving out some cash next.

Speaker 4 (01:02:47):
Couple of weeks.

Speaker 1 (01:02:48):
How about that cash? Why are you giving out cash?
I just want to see it grow.

Speaker 7 (01:02:53):
Man.

Speaker 1 (01:02:53):
Is it my money? No, it's not, it's not. Why
would you give out I want? I want to I
want to do it. Yes, just take my money. No,
I don't. What's your money? Give me the money because
Rose you're gonna pay me more. Well that's true, but
still yeah, he's investing in himself. I like those I
had a ton of money. But I mean, you know,

(01:03:14):
people to get to Venmo for a penny. Okay, thank you, guys,
We'll see you later on this week. Bar but Hello
it hell?

Speaker 10 (01:03:22):
