fun and they aware a whizz so yet it's too bad?
Speaker 3 (01:40):
But what didn't you expect?
Speaker 4 (01:42):
It's a podcast?
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Come twenty five Whistles, twenty one welcome.
Speaker 5 (01:48):
Hey.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
I ordered it like a cheese and sausage breakfast sandwich.
They want it.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
Oh, I just came in appreciate it, but.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
I think I'm good. Thank you man. I just don't
want it.
Speaker 6 (01:58):
Why are you giving it away?
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Because it's like ten a night, lunch early and I
wasn't feeling great to order something now, I don't need it, Mike,
you don't need it, don't need meet Huh, I'm good.
You don't want it. It's fresh. I'm good.
Speaker 6 (02:11):
Thank you. No you might have Oh no, I'm good.
I already had my breakfast.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Here we go, thank you. A couple of things. And
Eddie and were just talking about this off the air,
but we had him on the show a few weeks ago.
But Joey g who now works with the Fever and
the Pacers, he was working for the NBA and so
in Vegas this past weekend, I had I met him
for like breakfast lunch type thing. We didn't have any
cheat him sausage cheese there. And he was like, Hey,
(02:41):
if you want to come to the Fever playoff game,
let me know come up. And so the Fever in
a three game series right now. WNBA first round is
three game right. So they lost to the Sun game
one in Connecticut, and they played the second game in
Connecticut maybe tomorrow, maybe later this week, I'm not sure,
(03:02):
but game three would be Friday. But they have to
win game two for them to be a game three.
So if they win, you're gone. I'm gonna go nice nice.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
This is it is your dream come true? You love
Caitlin Clark get a game.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
It's not my dream come true, but it would be
fun to do.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
Okay, your your your most recent dream.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
No, might just say it'd be fun to do, but
it's not really a dream come true to go to
a playoff game Wednesday, Wednesday's game two, Wednesday's Game two,
and then Friday would be game three.
Speaker 6 (03:28):
Friday would be game three.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
So yeah, he's like, hey, come come. I was like, ah,
iwas get weird when people invite me into my face
to things, I feel like they have to. But he
brought it up. I didn't bring it up. And then
I was like, if you invite me after we leave
here when you don't have to. Again, he was like, hey,
just come to the game. I'll get your set up.
So if they win, I hope to god they win,
they'd be fun, super fun to go to. It'd be awesome.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
I'll go.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
They said I could bring somebody, so so dude thought,
I don't what's up. I don't know how I'm gonna
bring bet, but your wife not I want to go
to that? I don't know, probably not.
Speaker 3 (04:02):
You should ask her before you try to think about
who else you could take.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Or I could be like, hey, we're going to go
up and do some No, no, you're.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
Crazy, dude. But but like, look, and even if you
think that you're wife, I know you think that, and
you're probably right. But if I ever assumed that my
wife didn't want to go to something and I didn't
invite her, she'd be upset.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
Yeah, but I assume all the time now because she
never wants to go to anything sports related. Yeah, okay,
I very very very very rarely.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
Well, I will turn this around on you.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
Then.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
I always assume that you don't want to do what
we're doing, but then we don't invite you.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
You're like, yeah, But the difference is if I'm like, hey,
do you want to go to whatever game? She's like,
why'd you even ask me that? You know I didn't
want to go? Oh so that's tough. Okay, Hey, I've
been married with my wife.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
It's true. I'm not married to your wife, that's right.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
But they have to win game two and they got
to be pretty yeah, pretty soundly. Yeah, game one, there's
read yo, yo're not late. We just started before you
want to sausage. I just just ordered this sausage egg
and sheese sandwich. I would freaking love it. Oh are
you hungry? Yeah, it's from Elegy. It's fresh, just got here.
(05:12):
So you knew Read it would show up course Read
in Vegas, so he flew back at the same time
we did. And I would talk to people that would go, hey,
I saw your digital guy.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
Different reports, where would they see.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Tables gambling, sometimes by himself. We have just introduced Read
to gambling in the past, and then one year one
year anniversary, Read it never really gambled, and since then
he had a real hot shot at craps. His first time.
He was obsessed. We went and I did a show
in Tulsa at a casino and Read gambled at a
casino and want a bunch of money. That's a slot machine?
A slot machine. Yeah, it was a slot machine. Yeah,
(05:49):
I just put fifty bucks in and then seven hundred
came out. That's crazy, it's fun, and so yeah, people
would be like one guy came up to me and said, hey,
I saw your digital guy. He was sending it a
black jack. I've never played back jack with Read. I've
never seen replay bla jack even tho if you could play.
I don't see myself playing it either. Reads it. They
said he had just money piled up everywhere, a big
stack of chips. And I said, well, that could be
(06:12):
really good or really bad, really good if you had
won it all really bad if that's what he got
out of the ATM and stacked it all up. And
so going into the final night, you were down a bit. Yeah,
I was down just a little bit, just a little bit,
but hey, I ended up. He handed up even, all right, Okay,
it was that's a win in Vegas.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
Absolutely end of the weekend, he was even.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
That's what he said. Good technically I'm up like twenty
three bucks, but oh no, no, that's not that's real.
Then you're up. Okay, I'll take it. There's no if
you're up one dollar, you're win gambling. You're up. You
finished up a buck, all right. Anytime I gambled with
Reeve won at a decent. I never went to gamble.
And the only time I ever gambled was if I
(06:54):
was twenty minutes early somewhere, we'd be in the casino.
I won like four thousand dollars. That's awesome, maybe thirty
six hundred I did, I said, at a slot machine.
I didn't even know how to play the game. I
was just waiting for something like I mean, I didn't
know what it's like, all these like treasure chests and
letters and dog bones and was all this. And so
I hit the button. I put in like sixty bucks
(07:15):
and I won six hundred liked so and I'm like wow,
And I don't know what the next button I hit was.
But the next button I hit bet everything I just
won and one bet.
Speaker 3 (07:24):
Oh that's the double down button.
Speaker 1 (07:26):
Whatever the button was, I wish I would have never
seen it, because I hit for like six hundred bucks
and lost it all on one spin, which I didn't
even know they got me because I was just hitting
it just to go, just to move time. But I
waiting close four thousand dollars and I wasn't playing like
with the betting a ton of money. I just had
three or four good runs one crabs table reading I
were at, I mean, I lost a ton until the
(07:49):
last roll and someone just was hot for a long
time and I ended up walking away. I think I
started with five hundred bucks ended up walking over with
twenty six hundred dollars. Oh my god, because of one
person rolling.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
That was that Saturday night.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
No, I think it was Friday. Yeah, it was Friday night.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
I got a text from Reid said, did you got
to come This guy's been rolling for forty five minutes,
and like that's a long time.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
It's a long time. Wow. You never want to go
down because someone tells you to come down, because by
the time you get down, it all over.
Speaker 5 (08:15):
I wasn't.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
I wasn't even in my room. I was at the festival. Still,
I'm not going to go over there.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
Did you leave the festival early to go gamble? Ah? Yeah,
usually when you left, that's when I left. Well, so
I would leave after I was done and go to bed.
I have to somewhat keep my body on track to
the radio show, so I would not stay out late.
Heck night one Thursday night went about a seven pm
smart Yeah, And so then next time I went to
bed at like nine forty five, and then like nine
or ten the next night. But then Reid would just
(08:41):
go gamble by himself. I'm over that gambling by myself stage.
There was a time where I would do that, but
it's like now I don't even like to gamble anymore.
I was doing it just past the time, and had
I lost early, I would have been done. I wouldn't
have played it anymore. But because I hit kind of
early for like five hundred bucks, six hundred bucks, yeah,
I just was like, I'm playing with house moneyway, So
(09:01):
I ended up coming away about four though. I think
I lost a couple hundred bucks in the slot machine
at the airport, which I'm never I'm not sure if
those things even paid out because there's really nobody there
to ever watch and see because everybody's just on in
and out, so I don't no getting back to bring
him a coffee. Kaitlin was like, oh, he said the
slots over there. I was like, oh, of course. I
did bet Arkansas plus two and a half. I bet
fifteen hundred bucks. I put it up on fifred bucks
(09:24):
on that, so I won like thirteen hundred on that.
I bet on plus two and a half and obviously
you don't get all that you put in. Yeah, So
I bet that at the casino, but didn't do a
lot of betting because you can't really do draft kings
there because different people have Vegas is weird about they
don't allow you apping it. Yeah, So other than that,
(09:45):
I bet some NFL yesterday. I bet the Cowboys what
a dude? Which is a couple things, And I think
we can start with just this Eddie talking about the Cowboys.
Hold on, I saw Dak and City fighting on the sideline.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
Yeah, I mean I think I think CD has just
got a bad attitude right now. Like it's just during
the whole game, he just looked like in a bad attitude.
Speaker 1 (10:04):
But he also wasn't getting the ball, and when it
would come to him, the passes were awful.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
Right, And did you see like they would show him
too in his routes like he wasn't open. He was
never open, So there's a good reason why the ball
didn't go away.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
So it feels like you are pro Dak anti CD.
Speaker 3 (10:19):
I'm not anti CD. I'm anti CD's bad, bad personality,
bad behavior.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Yes, I don't think it's new. I think it's not. Yeah.
I think you did it that in the playoff game
last year too. Yeah, and it's.
Speaker 3 (10:30):
Obvious too, because like there were some passes that he
dropped where he normally wouldn't drop. Well, yeah, that's because
you're in a bad mood.
Speaker 1 (10:35):
You also want your receivers to be debat esque because
you have to have you have to be out of
your mind to be a really great wide receiver has
such confidence delusion. Even you want your wide receiver to
be delusional.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
Yeah, but then when they actually throw you the ball,
you should catch it, though.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
So are you saying CD can't catch? No, it's no.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
I think when his mind's like in that zone.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
And now you're a therapist, I mean, I think it's
just human nature when you watch the game. Yeah, thoughts,
I'm pro CD lam I think Dak was throwing that
was on terrible. I agree, and I think that's why
CD was frustrated. I agree, And I'm not a fan,
so I'm not coming from a bias like Eddie is.
Speaker 3 (11:12):
I just see how two people are behaving one okay,
and you do have a PhD in therapy a quarterback, Yeah,
and every quarterback is not going to throw one hundred
percent every time. I get that. Your attitude, though, you
can change that. And if you if you have a
bad attitude, they'll change the whole attitude of your team.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
What are you talking about, You've been a coach.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
I've been a coach. My ten year old basketball.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
Ten year old is probably great for them.
Speaker 3 (11:33):
That's right, And if I saw one with a bad attitude,
you're sitting.
Speaker 1 (11:36):
Down, okay, and you go sit CD. No, Yeah, I
wouldn't do that. They almost came back and won it.
I just stopped him on either of those last two series.
I mean they had two opportunities. One way they were
calling all the timeouts and then two they would have
got the ball back. But then Lamar, Yeah took that
up the middle.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
And we're sitting here talking about Dak and CD. But
I think like the big problem with the Cowboys is
the defense like it which is crazy because after week
one you're like, oh, we got a great defense, but
it just seems like the size isn't even there every
time like anyone. Like when Derek Hendry ran the ball,
it was three little guys trying to tackle him.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
So linebackers are a lot smaller now because they have
to cover more more of these guys playing receiver more slots.
Speaker 6 (12:21):
Yeah, it hurt a little bit more watching Derrick Henry
run all over you because you guys wanted him, and
you guys have nobody.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
I didn't even think about that. We don't have a
running game though.
Speaker 6 (12:29):
Is that nobody?
Speaker 1 (12:30):
So frustrating? I don't know.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
No, we have three, we have running backs, the bodies, guys,
they're there.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
That's a tough It wasn't that that tough of a loss?
I bet I didn't bet a bunch of about fi
hundred bucks on it. That would ruin my year. I
won four thousand Vegas, so I was all right. But
Baltimore's good and they were due. They were owing to.
Speaker 3 (12:51):
They needed that win, I think more than the Cowboys did.
But that was I mean, I did like the little
light of hope in the fourth quarter. Watching him play
like that like that was exciting and good to see
two minute offense they were on. Maybe we just do
two minute offense the whole game.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Saints won again and Vikings wanted Saints loss. I think
Steelers Steelers. Steelers and Vikings are the two undefeated teams.
Seahawks too, but you can think of three. And oh
also they must have won after I met my note
came good? Was that game the afternoon game? Yeah? Well
against Miami?
Speaker 6 (13:22):
Yeah Miami, they have to go down back.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
Yeah, they had like boy who was their second one
quarterback that.
Speaker 6 (13:27):
Came in, Tim Boyle. I didn't even know he's still around.
Speaker 7 (13:30):
Why did he either come in sky little Tom Ribs
cave in or something, and also wasn't playing well either.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
Yeah, they got to get a quarterback. Then he tried
for bry Shawn.
Speaker 6 (13:40):
Yeah, they were trying for hill Mary at the end
of the first half and they tried twice. He was
just back there for like twenty seconds full time, and
they got nothing other than him just getting sacked.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Hey, how about speaking of hell Mary's about Colorado's hell
Mary to beat Yeah, that was wild. That didn't beat him,
but it tied. They missed the hill Mary the play
right before the play, and I don't know that had
he caught the ball, he wud have actually gotten the
end zone.
Speaker 6 (14:01):
I don't think you would have.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
So it was a fortunate drop. Then shouldre rolls left
chunks touchdown. Travis Hunter makes the tackle in overtime, running
back fumbledoble. Yeah, yeah, it's awesome. Yeah, they're three and
one now. Remember two years ago Colorado was basically the
worst team in Division one football. Yes, but three and
one now. I am biased because I like Dean a lot,
(14:25):
but say what you will. They just they haven't been
three and one in I think it's eighteen seventy in Colorado.
But that was that was a pretty pretty cool game.
We had our parley. By the way, I said, Arkansas
money line, which they were giving up. You know, they
(14:45):
were getting a couple of point. Yeah, I said about
the money line, Florida money line, Utah money line, and
we hit that. So that's pretty good. We like that,
all right, we under tittle title, let's do it, let's get.
Speaker 6 (14:55):
It, name.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
The tandle tattle.
Speaker 6 (15:05):
As the only man to hit fifty home runs and
steal fifty bases in a season. Do you think the
sports world isn't talking about Otawny's record enough that night?
Speaker 1 (15:13):
And again, I didn't watch it as it happened. I
watched all the clips as it was happening. We were working. Yeah,
so it's not like I watched the game. But he
went six for six. He would have hit for the
cycle had he not been thrown out at third that
I was considered a double. But he went six for six,
two stone basis, three home runs, ten RBIs is awesome.
(15:34):
I mean, it's probably the greatest game ever. That really
isn't a stat that Major League Baseball keeps like, who
had the single greatest game ever? Now I've seen people
like pull up games. But it's not only was it that.
There were a few things that happened during this game.
First of all, to go fifty to fifty. Now it's fifty
one to fifty one, fifty whatever he is at now.
But a few things happened. One, he went fifty to
(15:55):
fifty two, they made the playoff. They clinched the playoff
with the win there, so that was a big game.
And then three, and I remember the third thing. But
I remember thinking that's pretty cool. I think they are
making a big deal about it. I mean, nobody cares
about baseball. And I say that as somebody who kind
of cares about baseball. Yeah, I don't care, and I
know about it. Yeah, nobody cares about baseball. I think
(16:16):
they're doing a great job. The hardest part about baseball
is there are nine people on the field and Otani
isn't even one of the nine because he's the designated hitter.
So unless it's the one, unless it's one ninth of
the half, so you're looking at one eighteenth. That's the
only time he's on the field.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
And why is he not pitching?
Speaker 1 (16:38):
Are he hurt hisself?
Speaker 6 (16:39):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (16:40):
Tell me John, Yeah, he'll push next year and then
he does this, he's finally the ballpen a little bit.
But I think what's hard about having a baseball player
that is really amazing is he's they don't They're not
a part of it a whole lot. They're not a
camera a whole lot where if you have a quarterback,
a running back, wide receiver, like they're getting the ball.
So I think that's the difficult part about getting people
(17:00):
invested in baseball if they're young. The superstar culture is
tough because the superstars aren't the focus for long enough.
A game like the Ronaldacona Junior is like making great
plays occasionally and he's hit, but again he's just not
on camera enough. Where basketball there's five guys and the
camera is always on all five of them, offense and defense.
(17:21):
They're always in the shot. If they're a score football,
the quarterbacks, the wide receivers, the running backs like they're
getting the ball. So I think it's pretty cool. I
don't know there's only two players that ever have fifty
and fifty but not the same He's the first ever
in the same season, but I think ever in the
history of baseball, there's like two people ever that have
(17:42):
had fifty solen bases and fifty home runs in separate seasons,
and one is Barry Bonds, and one is the oriole
Brady Anderson. Now Rooken never hit that many home runs.
Speaker 6 (17:52):
To say, yeah, or did he ever steal that many bases?
Speaker 1 (17:54):
No, definitely not. But Otani's making people care he is,
and I feel like unbelievable, Like I feel like he
sees the ball in a way that I know I
can't understand them. But also like this is just my
opinion here. My opinion is there is zero percent chance
that he had nothing to do with all the betting.
Speaker 6 (18:14):
Doesn't it seem like a lifetime ago?
Speaker 1 (18:16):
It does, Like you're gonna tell me his interpreter, No, man,
he took them for the team big time, and he'll
probably be taken care of forever, exactly. And there's a
reason that Baseball was covering that. If they were, and
they have been through many investigations, they've been cleared in
every way. Hmm.
Speaker 6 (18:34):
We haven't heard a peep about it a long time.
Speaker 3 (18:37):
But if I were that translate translator or whatever I mean,
that interpret that'd be great, man, Like, all right, I
just don't work it. Now, you take care for the
rest of my go to prison.
Speaker 1 (18:45):
If you go to jail, is he going to jail?
Speaker 3 (18:47):
I could, yeah, oh and I don't like that.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
He'd be taking care of But would you go to
jail for a year for ten million dollars? Dude?
Speaker 3 (18:58):
Do you know how much a year? Like a year
is a long time?
Speaker 1 (19:01):
Do you know much? Ten million dollars? Oh yeah, a
lot of money, a lot of money.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
But a year in the Slammer, like I thought about,
like I thought about, like you know, you see a
sentence like, oh, three to four months, like that's not bad. No,
Like you think about this month alone. It feels like
a long time when it was like September one or
August first, like.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
That was a long time ago. I think ten million dollars.
And then also if the plea is he goes to
one of those prisons, aren't like the Slammer, Oh oh,
like the white collar Yeah, because again you're it's financial crimes.
Speaker 6 (19:31):
Oh yeah, that's true.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
But but I think I would do it.
Speaker 3 (19:34):
But there's still lonely dudes in there though, right.
Speaker 1 (19:36):
But I'm not. You're just thinking worried about some dude.
That's the only thing dropping the soap that you won,
but I don't think it's the same. I think you're
thinking of like oz, like the prison show on HBO
or right.
Speaker 3 (19:47):
But even if it looks like a Hilton, there's still
lonely dudes in there.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
What's your session on lonely dudes?
Speaker 3 (19:51):
Oyah, that's the scariest part about prison man.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
People. I think I go for ten million if I
get putting one of those nice prisons for a year. Yeah,
you're gonna have made someone's wife. Dude, we're living out
your fantasy right.
Speaker 6 (20:07):
Next up, which road win impressed the most over the
weekend Tennessee at Oklahoma, Utah at Oklahoma State, or Illinois
at Nebraska.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
You know, Illinois wins in overtime and their quarterback Altmeyer,
the kid who transferred from.
Speaker 6 (20:20):
Oh Miss, Oh Miss.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
Yes, yeah, because Jackson Dark got the starting job he played.
I mean, Brett Bielama is in the perfect place for him. Yeah,
in a conference where his stuff. I like Brett Bielama.
He was the head coach at Arkansas. He's been on
this show. Like, I'm a big Beelama guy. Illinois. That
win was great because Nebraska had a bunch of heat,
so I'm rooting for them. They're in a that's exciting.
(20:45):
I don't know. I don't know if they can win
the conference because that's a pretty tough conference. But that's
perfect for that conference, especially in winter time when it
gets cold, and they're just just a bunch of fat
boys playing strong, fat boy football, Like we like that.
The Tennessee game, I tell you was Tennessee slowed down
at the end, I think, and I'm not going to
(21:08):
say this to my family, because they were pretty upset.
They went to the game. My father in law went
to the game and I was only able to watch
parts of it because we were in like the bowels
of the arena in Vegas and I couldn't get good internet,
and I would watch a little here and there, and
then I saw that Jackson Arnold, their quarterback, was out
of the game. I don't know if he was hurt,
and so I really wanted to know, so I would
text him and be like, hey, what happened to Jackson Arnold?
(21:29):
And I don't again, I don't know if he was hurt.
And the game was it was like nine to three
for a while, twelve to three, so the game was
still happening, and he was like, no, he just sucked.
He didn't say sucked because he didn't talk like that,
but he was like he was your father in law. Yeah,
he was like he was struggling. They put the freshman
kid in. I think Tennessee could have actually beat them worse.
But that was really cool to see josh Iipeall go
back to like his school. His dad was crying. It
(21:53):
was a really cool scene. So that was a strong
Tennessee over a good Oklahoma defense. Olomb's offense like terrible,
but they haven't look good all year, but their defense they.
Speaker 6 (22:06):
Looked good since well, I guess last year they ha
Dylan Gabriel, which was up and down.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
But yeah, uh utah backup quarterback too, right, yeah, rising
out and and that score was way closer than it
was then excuse me, the score at the end of
the game was closer than the game actually was. Oklahoma
State scored at the end when it was already over.
I don't know all three of those are good, but
I would say probably the Tennessee at Oklahoma, Oklahoma's first
(22:35):
SEC game. They're hyped up. There really was no question
the whole game. But the Illinois game that was strong too.
Speaker 6 (22:42):
All looked good. I mean, I know it's Nebraska. He's
on the watch. That was my first time watching him.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
He can throw. I mean, oh, he can throw. And
he's like twelve. Is the Patty Mahomes freshman? Yeah yeah, yeah,
all right? Next up?
Speaker 6 (22:53):
All right, NFL which surprising three to oh team do
you still think will be in the mix come January?
The Steelers, Vikings or c Hawks.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
If it's going to be the Steelers, they are going
to have to play really fantastic defense, justin fields. He
played pretty well yesterday and made a couple of good
throws too, and not just five and six yard dinkers.
And again we're flying back. So I was flipping through
and getting bad internet. So the only game I got
to watch the full game of was the Cowboys game.
You watched the whole game most of it. I fell
(23:23):
asleep for a little bit of it. I was just exhausted
from the weekend, so I didn't get to invest as
much at watching like full full games. And I'll do
the multi screen because YouTube TV is the best. It's
the best. The Vikings actually look good. Yeah, they're killing
and they beat a really good team. They beat the Texans,
they beat the forty nine Ers before everybody the out. Yeah, yeah,
(23:44):
the Texans Giants suck, but and that doesn't really count.
But Daniel Jones actually pretty god yesterday. Didn't play me yesterday,
But Daniel Jones did not look terrible yesterday, which was crazy.
And the Seahawks beat the Broncos, the Patriots, and the Dolphins.
So I don't really feel like the Seahawks have had
to They don't have the sus that the other had.
Real I think the Seahawks can be good, but I
haven't really seen anything. I'm gonna put the Vikings there.
(24:06):
Did you know that Sam Darnold is younger than Joe Burrow? Crazy?
Speaker 3 (24:10):
Oh, I didn't know that.
Speaker 1 (24:10):
I saw that this morning. Wow, because he's just been
around longer and he's been in the news because he sucked.
But has he sucked or has he been in bad places?
Or did he suck and he actually now developed to
be a pretty decent quarterback or is he not even
real and he'll suck later? All these are questions. But
I think the Vikings are three games has shown us
that they can actually compete the Texas and the forty
(24:32):
nine Ers two good teams.
Speaker 6 (24:33):
Yeah, they beat the crap out of the Texans.
Speaker 1 (24:34):
It was never a game from what I saw, because
again I was falling asleep. Yeah, or maybe I was flying.
That's that's the noon game noon. Yeah, Okay, it was flying.
So it was like never a game, right, No, never,
because I have Stroud as my fantasy quarterback and he
just was never on. He had a few picks, didn't
he too? Okay, So anyway, I'm gonna go Vikings then Steelers. Now,
(24:56):
I'm still gonna go Vikings than Seahawks. I just feel
like the Seahawks are probably a better team, though they
haven't had to show it yet.
Speaker 6 (25:01):
All Right, next up, last one whose early season redemption
redemption story are you enjoying the most?
Speaker 1 (25:05):
It's Sam Donald? Right, It's gotta be Sam Donald because
he has sucked many times. Justin fields was fun because
that also could have been. You're looking at two quarterbacks
here who are in bad situations, even justin fields in Chicago.
Probably not the best situation for him. I mean, by
the way, Caleb secks, he's a rookie. Shit suck, Yeah,
(25:27):
he sucks, right, it's Ross rough. Malik Wallace won a
couple of games. Yeah, I'm a leak. Lake Green Bay
coming back to No. I don't want to bring Jordan
Love back until like he's ready. Ready, they can afford
to lose one, yeah, if they have to. Uh so
just stats here. Donald has six hundred fifty seven passing
yards and eight touchdowns. That's awesome. Yeah, not bad. Yeah,
(25:50):
I'm rooting for him. That's cool. I like to see
somebody who's been told you suck and then says, not
so fast, my friend. But Senday's ample Bryce Young. I
swear to God. Although the Panthers winn yesterday is pretty crazy,
I know, but still.
Speaker 6 (26:03):
Dalton goes crazy crazy.
Speaker 1 (26:06):
Somebody's gonna get Brice Young and make him like a quarterback.
I fully believe it. But look at Darnold and look
at Bake. Baker lost though. Yeah they did lose. That
not a good showing. And they lost to somebody should Broncos.
Speaker 6 (26:16):
Oh they got to go.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Nicks look good for Hey, I'm one out of three
on my bone neck, I'm only one for three. But
bo Nicks. He looked really good, even running the ball
like he has an irrational confidence though that I like him,
even when he was like throwing picks early.
Speaker 6 (26:31):
He just screw it, man, Let's go.
Speaker 1 (26:35):
So yeah, I was pretty pumped about that bone neck
that Broncos. All right, there you go. That is the
tittle Tattle, get it name, it's the title tattle Again.
We would like to say to everybody, congratulations if you
bet our parlay Arkansas, Florida, Utah all money lines, and
we're pretty proud of that. We're one for three on
(26:55):
the parlays. But the parlays are hard because it's three games. Marlay. Yeah,
if we go one for three every time, I wonder
if we're in the money, like in the plus. That's
nothing you can figure out with your head right now.
Speaker 3 (27:09):
I don't know those numbers.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
Yeah, get on Draft Kings. There's also DraftKings Pick Sick,
which is so much fun. You pick a player and
choose if they'll have more or less of a stat
like if you're gonna do it tonight, for example, because
you can do it for tonight. If you hear this
before the Bengals play tonight and we got two games too,
that's right, the Bills two games tonight.
Speaker 3 (27:28):
You're right, so we get it in early. As soon
as you hear this, get it in.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
I was just thinking about the Bengals commanders. But that's right.
The Bills are playing the Jags, or the Jags if
they don't win. Oh, that's brutal trouble. It means I
was listening to someone. Maybe it was on Bill Simmons
podcast talking about how they think Belichick will be the
coach of the Jags next year. Wow. Really, he's having
(27:54):
too much fun? Girlfriend both. I thought you meant like, no,
like retire. No, he's never tired. I see him. He's
doing lots of television stuff. Yeah.
Speaker 8 (28:03):
I think he's loving life right now. That coaching job
seems I don't disagree with that. But he's not retired.
Maybe he's retired from coaching coaching, got it? Joe Burrow
more or less than two sixty four point five passing yards.
I mean, naturally you would think more, but it's been
such a low output of just throwing the ball.
Speaker 6 (28:23):
Doesn't Isn't Andy Dalton the only one with three hundred
so far?
Speaker 1 (28:26):
Yeah, and he threw like three fifty. Then he throws
this week?
Speaker 6 (28:30):
I mean, yeah, two, I had three over three hundred week.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
Yeah, Jamar Chase more or less eighty one?
Speaker 5 (28:36):
Ala?
Speaker 1 (28:36):
Do you do it? Joe Burrow more or less than
two sixty four Let's go under. Jamar Chase more or
less eighty one receiving yards.
Speaker 3 (28:43):
If I went under, Let's go under again.
Speaker 1 (28:46):
Josh Allen more less than two hundred and thirty passing
yards versus Jaguars two thirty. Well, that's significantly I go.
Speaker 3 (28:51):
I go over because because it sounds like a lot.
Speaker 1 (28:54):
And it's go over. James Cooked more or less than
point five touchdowns versus.
Speaker 3 (28:58):
The Jaguars two touchdowns.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
Go over? You think you'll do two? Yeah? Yeah, he
has to do to get one. Yeah, that guy's good.
He is good. He's really good.
Speaker 3 (29:06):
We have his cowboys have his brother. Who knows when
we're going to use that guy. Yeah, he's still in
the like the practice squad.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
Really well, he doesn't get used just because his brother
James Cook though, No, but he was good so for
so many years out of Georgia. Right, Yes, somebody I
want to say yes. I want to say yes too.
I feel like he played it Georgia. Is that I'm
thinking of Swift?
Speaker 6 (29:29):
DeAndre definitely did.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
Yeah, Mike, you we let me know. I'll read this,

thank you. Okay, here's this. Bryce Young lost his girlfriend
the same week as he lost his starting job. Oh really,
why if yesterday's reporting is accurate, it's bro bible. A
bad week for Bryce Young got a whole lot worse.
(30:12):
Early last week, Young was benched by the Carolina Panthers
in favor of Andy Dalton. Then over the weekend, a
story broke saying that Young's apparent ex girlfriend, Myra Gordon,
broke up with them. Sources say the teen Trade Interest. Yeah,
oh yeah, so he got broke. The weird thing is
she had also dated, like other a bunch of other athletes.
(30:34):
I'd read Football Chase, but I'm saying, like, why would
you even want to date somebody? And if you're a
Bryce Young you can have anybody you want you're if
you're famous, or you have money, or you're an athlete,
the pool opens up in a way for the normal
person that you wouldn't have. Why would you want to
go and date somebody that dated a bunch of other athletes.
Speaker 3 (30:55):
I'm thinking, like, if you're socially awkward, maybe Bryce is
like just a shy guy, right, because I mean he's
kind of a shy little bit and these girls are
the ones that come to you, you don't go to them.
And like, I feel like someone forward like that who
just dates football players would probably go to Bryce and
be like, hey, what's up?
Speaker 1 (31:13):
But I feel like Brice is like a smart dude,
Like why would you want to be with somebody who's
but yeah. Myra Gordon had been spotted earlier in the
week at the Atlanta Falcons Philadelphia Eagles game with seventy
six or star Tyrese Maxie, So she's.
Speaker 3 (31:25):
Already on good for him for who.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
No, No for Bryce for escaping that got him interest,
he got no souris do say that several teams have
approached the Panthers for trade interest. The Panthers maintained they
have no interest in making a deal. They should make
a deal, Patther should trade them, especial if they're gonna
try to draft a quarterback. Yeah. And also if I'm
the Panthers, I don't want Andy Dalton winning. Yeah, Like
(31:51):
I'm putting you in so you don't win. It comes
out those with three fifty. No, man, Like, there's no
benefit in the Panthers winning more than game or two.
They need to act like they're trying, but you're gonna fall.
Speaker 6 (32:05):
Canalys isn't gonna get fired in this first year.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
No, not at all.
Speaker 6 (32:09):
Actually, I don't know what temper.
Speaker 1 (32:10):
That's true too, because you know last year Frank I
got fired before his first year was over.
Speaker 3 (32:16):
Guys, I feel like Andy Daltin was playing when we
were in high school, Like definitely when I was in
high school.
Speaker 1 (32:21):
I think you're thinking of Carson Palmer, just like red
haired quarterbacks, Like, yeah, he's been around for a while.
AJ Green on the Bengals, that was the time he's
been around for a while. Yeah, or excuse me, read
you did not start somebody on your fantasy team. That's
the ultimate, that's not bad. I just did not look
at it. We got to Vegas and I got distracted.
So this is Read's first year to play fantasy. That
(32:44):
is almost a league kickout able offense in a serious league,
if you like, forget, if somebody's out and they were
out and you didn't change it, that's almost a league
kickoutable offense because what that's doing is giving somebody else
an advantage to win because somebody's an idiot. Luckily he
was playing me, so I'll take it. Oh yeah, but
you can't not you can't. No, I know, I know
(33:06):
what your first year.
Speaker 6 (33:08):
They have it easy now where you can just do
edit the quick lineup and they do it for you.
This is first year. Oh really yeah, Like you click
it and it just says like based on projections, it
plugs him in there for you.
Speaker 1 (33:17):
That's cool unless yes, yes, yes, but if because I
think it was brown Philly, Yeah who was out?
Speaker 6 (33:24):
Oh you played a he did?
Speaker 1 (33:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (33:29):
And I'll be honest, like when you're in Vegas, like
you didn't know what time it is. I understand, it
doesn't matter. I understand, but I feel.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
Like I had to change out because.
Speaker 3 (33:37):
You've been playing for years. You know what you're doing.
Speaker 1 (33:39):
That's why I'm telling him. And in the past there
will be a fine. There was one hundred dollars fine
if you start anybody that didn't play, because that's that's
just you not caring about the league. Yeah, you know who.
Speaker 6 (33:49):
I'm going to lose again. I'm doing awful. But I
played Tom Lord. He did the same thing.
Speaker 1 (33:54):
Really, I'm still going to lose. And he has no excuse,
like I didn't start Kenneth Walker the third he had
an Abbessue didn't play against Darberney played in his place.
There are people that I saw him was like, oh,
I'm not going to play them because they may not play,
and Reed did not. Reid started Brown. He got zero
point zero point zero yards receiving and a big oh
beside his name. I could have played Tony Pollard, I
mean he got There are a lot of players he
(34:15):
could have played six points. But you still have like
three that haven't played yet. But yes, you can't as
a new guy. I'm just telling you as a friend. Yeah,
you'll get kicked out of the league. I got it because
people will be like, you're an irresponsible leagueinger, whye putt
something in that doesn't care. Yeah, it's a free win
for people. It's fair. You see.
Speaker 3 (34:32):
I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
Right now, I'm up on Reid one oh five point
three to seventy seven point four. I have a ninety
two percent chance to win. I think I've played all
my players. He has one left and the player is
playing tonight. Oh wow, Sean Alexander. Really yeah, Adrian Peterson,
you know it's it's it's cooking buffalo. But he's gonna
(34:57):
have to score like thirty points, which he has.
Speaker 5 (35:00):
That's possible.
Speaker 6 (35:00):
He's getting two touchstones.
Speaker 1 (35:01):
Right, Yeah?
Speaker 3 (35:02):
Why why is ESPN now, Like, you know how they
do the matchups and they give the percentage of the
win percentage. They'll keep it at one even though the game's.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
Over in case you get negative.
Speaker 3 (35:11):
I understand, but thank you for giving them a little
bit of.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
A I wont a championship on that. Once. I was
playing Scotty in the championship game and we were tied
going into the championship game and he had a player
to start. All they do is get one point and
he fumbled went minus two. I won the game. I
want the whole. I wont the whole Championship that was
(35:34):
corrected later? Was that corrected? Like? Uh no, that was
the actual that was the game.
Speaker 3 (35:38):
But do you remember the days where they would give
you the score and they'd be like, oh, correction, Like
a day later, I gotned.
Speaker 1 (35:43):
They'll still do corrections. Yeah, they'll still do corrections. That's
just because the stats get changed because they've corrected them
on the Monday or Tuesday. But I want a full
fantasy league on a minus two fumble. It was the
greatest victory ever. I thought it was over going into
the game. I had one percent chance winning. There's your
one percent. Had a one percent chance of winning because
all I had to do is get one point and
(36:04):
he may have even gotten ten yards rushing and still
fumbled and I won by one. Was so pissed. I'd
have been pissed too. That's like the altaic.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
Yeah, that's why he's not in the league anymore.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
That's the ultimate piech. Whenever you do you want good
news or bad news first, Eddie, let's go bad news.
No no, no, I'm not saying I have it for you.
I'm just saying in general.
Speaker 3 (36:21):
Bad bad. I always want the worst first, and then
we'll end off on a good note.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
So in your bad news sandwich, you want bad first
and good.
Speaker 3 (36:28):
Give me the E and then wash it off with
like a milkshake.
Speaker 1 (36:30):
Oh good. What if the bad news is so so
so much worse and the good news doesn't really like
clear it up?
Speaker 3 (36:36):
Well, if I knew that beforehand, i'd probably go good
news first, but you never know before.
Speaker 1 (36:40):
A vast majority of people prefer to receive the bad
news first to get out of the way. Many management
handbooks recommend these so called bad news sandwich strategy. Newsgivers
should hand out some good news, then the bad, then
the main good.
Speaker 2 (36:54):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:55):
I mean ideally that sounds nice, like like, but you
never have two goods? Do you just make up the
last good?
Speaker 1 (37:02):
Well, it can be something small.
Speaker 3 (37:03):
It's if you something big, Okay, Hey cowboys one, that's cool.
Speaker 1 (37:06):
Huh Yeah, like, hey, you've been doing a great job.
We've all been noticing. Also, yeah, you're gonna die tomorrow.
Also but also yeah, it's on this gift card. This
you got a gift card to Fridays here. I want
to play this with Ken Golden, who is the king
of collectibles that Netflix show and he has gold I
(37:28):
want to one. I bid it's I don't really win.
I'm falling for it. The tricks. If I say that
I got a Mickey Mandele signed ball was in Vegas,
you did, where is that thing? What's not here yet?
You bet? I bet on a Golden on the app?
Speaker 3 (37:39):
Can you put that on the desk?
Speaker 1 (37:42):
Like? I would be pretty cool? I don't know if
I want to. I mean, people haven't stolen anything yet,
but it would be the most valuable thing that I
probably just wouldn't leave up. You're right, You're right, so
probably not. But this is our talk. It's only like
ten minutes with Ken Golden, who again is the most
well known sports auctioneer. He has a show on Netflix
called King of Collectible, The gold In Touch and I
sold over one point thirty billion and memorabilia through his company,
(38:03):
Golden Auctions, thanks to Ken. Here he is Ken Golden.
Speaker 4 (38:06):
So I love the show.
Speaker 1 (38:10):
Huge, you guess all the time, big sports fan, big
memorabilia fan, big card fan, all of that. Yeah, So
I have like a lot of questions. I was watching
you with the the ten Mantle grade at ten and
yeah you open and I feel like I've seen you
look at a lot of cool things. Yeah, but I
feel like in your eyes. There was a certain twinkle
when you saw the perfectly graded Mickey Mantle Rookie ten.
Speaker 9 (38:31):
Oh yeah, oh yeah. I mean, look, I've been doing
this my whole life.
Speaker 5 (38:35):
I've been you know.
Speaker 9 (38:36):
Collecting, you know, as a kid, just collecting cards, probably
since I was eight, you know, as a dealer buying
and selling since I was twelve. But when there and
so I've seen everything, you know, and people say, oh,
you don't get excited.
Speaker 5 (38:49):
You don't get excited.
Speaker 9 (38:49):
You know, there's certain things that you see that you
know the history behind, you know, how significant it is,
how rare it is, a nineteen fifty two tops SA
ten Mickey Mantle is one of those things. And of
course the card we pulled out next, which was the
p S A eight Gretzky Wagner with with that, you know,
(39:10):
amazing story behind the whole card, that was something else.
Speaker 5 (39:14):
I just said, screw it.
Speaker 9 (39:15):
You know, when we don't we go into these shows
and we we don't, you know, we don't know what's
gonna happen.
Speaker 4 (39:20):
It's it's it's not scripted. And I just said, screw it.
Speaker 9 (39:23):
I'm take a selfie and I gave him, gave him
my camera and said take a picture of me, and
and they left it in the episode.
Speaker 1 (39:31):
It was really really cool to see you get excited.
I felt like there was genuine excitement there. Yeah, what
do you have in your collection that isn't valued millions
of dollars but you're you're in love with because you're
a massive fan. Because I'm sure people are like, what's
the most valuable thing you have? Not my question, it's like,
what do you love that may not even be the
most valuable thing you have?
Speaker 9 (39:49):
So this is actually the funny thing is is that
Baron's is coming out with a story on me. I
don't know if it's tomorrow or next weekend. They asked me,
and I listed ten am, So I'm gonna pick one
from there. And I did have something in there as
high as two million dollars, but I'm gonna pick one
from there that is not my personal that is not
the most valuable, but will not be sold. So I
(40:09):
grew up a as you can guess, a Phillies fan.
I know this is a Schmid jersey. This is an
actual game mission jersey from eighty to nine. And I
was with my family at the nineteen eighty World Series
in Old Veterans Stadium, and I saw all the home games.
I was there for Game six. I was there with
McGraw pounding his chest and of course the ball popping
(40:32):
out of.
Speaker 5 (40:32):
Boone's glove and Pete Rose getting there to catch it.
Speaker 9 (40:35):
So I saw at auction a couple of years ago
Richie Ashburn's who was a Philly Hall of Famer and
was the announcer.
Speaker 5 (40:44):
He got a World Series ring due to his affiliation.
Speaker 9 (40:46):
I saw it up for sale and I said, I
don't I don't care what this goes for.
Speaker 5 (40:50):
I'm buying it.
Speaker 9 (40:50):
So and the great thing is is it fits me
because Richie was not a six foot five, you know,
thick guy. He was probably six foot one, skinny outfielder
like May. Although I'm not an outfielder and I was tennis.
I was a tennis player. My son's the baseball player.
And it's one of those things. You know, the value
(41:10):
probably thirty grand, but to me it brings back memories
of you know, being there and being with my family
at the nineteen eighty World Series, the first time the
Phillies ever won.
Speaker 3 (41:21):
You know, I have four kids, and you know, we're
on the radio and my kids don't think that's cool
at all. Did your kids think like what you did
was just freaking awesome.
Speaker 5 (41:32):
Paul, duh.
Speaker 9 (41:32):
Well, I've got two oldest, two older daughters. I've got
Lindsay who's twenty eight, who probably doesn't care about any
of it except the music. I got Lara, who people
know from the Netflix show. And Laura will be here
in a bad an hour. And she couldn't get off
couldn't get off work until after lunch reading. But she
(41:54):
always went to the office, and she always wanted to
take picture with cool things. So she's got a picture
of herself holding the Wagner. She's got a picture of herself.
And she would always take advantage of my relationships from
the standpoint that, you know, for some.
Speaker 5 (42:09):
Reason we got divorced her step for her, you know,
the new dad.
Speaker 9 (42:14):
You know, my wife's ex husband. My ex wife's husband
was giant fan. So she became a Giant fan. So
she said, Dad, can you get me to meet the giants?
Speaker 5 (42:22):
So they won the Super Bowl.
Speaker 4 (42:23):
I got there to meet all the time, I got
all the giants, like, oh my god.
Speaker 9 (42:26):
So she was into it. Paul, of course is into
it like crazy. He's like we're in the car. Barry
Bond's a call me, you know, so he's really really
into it. And Carly and he just turned eleven. Carly,
who's six, is probably into it.
Speaker 5 (42:41):
More than anything.
Speaker 9 (42:42):
But you know, she's like waiting for her chance to
be on the TV show because she's like into uh,
into Star Wars, into comics and things like that.
Speaker 1 (42:51):
Final question for you, and I'm gonna be very specific.
I'm a massive Cubs fan. Do you have any favorite
Cubs in your collection?
Speaker 5 (42:58):
Any favorite Cubs? Yeah, Ernie Banks?
Speaker 1 (43:01):
And what do you have, like, what is your favorite
Cubs piece of memorabilia that you have?
Speaker 9 (43:05):
I have a a actual game used home run bat,
signed it inscribed by Ernie Banks, photo match to one
of his home runs and Ernie. Another one of my
favorite items is is personalized pictures with Ernie Ernie. Ernie
was the nicest guy in the world, to the standpoint
(43:30):
that anytime we're talking to his phone and he goes,
how's your mom doing? How's your mom doing? Because my
dad had passed away in ninety four, so we would always
ask me, how's my mom, how's my family? And you're
still enjoying work, You're ready to retire, you know all
this stuff like that.
Speaker 5 (43:43):
He was just an unbelievable great guy.
Speaker 1 (43:45):
Do you want to ask him my Cowboys? Real good? Yeah?
What do you have?
Speaker 5 (43:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (43:47):
What do you have for the Cowboys?
Speaker 4 (43:49):
What do I have for the Cowboys? Absolutely nothing? True?
Speaker 1 (43:56):
What does he want from the Cowboys?
Speaker 6 (43:57):
Absolutely nothing?
Speaker 9 (43:59):
All right, I get something, this sell it. But look, Ire,
you grew up an Eagles fan. It's a little tough
to have something. I got that have something Cowboys.
Speaker 1 (44:05):
So well, we really appreciate the time massive fans love.
I mean just watching the show and then the clips
and just what you're involved in, Like it's like everybody's
dream to be around that much less going it. So yeah,
thanks for making it cooler for nerds like me to
care about it.
Speaker 9 (44:20):
I've had a lot of people tell me thank you
so much. You know, they bring their wives, they bring
their girlfriends. You know, now it's respectable. They can see
what you do on TV, so now it's respectable. Now
they don't think I'm some you know nerds saying I'll
put two in the morning on my computer. Thank you,
U to going, Thank you pleasure.
Speaker 1 (44:34):

We touched on yours a little bit. What do you
want to say? Give us your personal game and how
it went.
Speaker 3 (46:09):
No, I wasn't in the air, So it's kind of interesting,
like to watch a football game in the air, because
then you start picking up you know who the fans
are like everything. When the Cowboys scored, we go yes,
and then you hear it yes yes, and I look
over like, yeah, Cowboys fan over there. So that's kind
of cool. Like I've never really I've always stressed out
like oh what time the Cowboys plane?
Speaker 1 (46:26):
Am I going to be flying or not?
Speaker 3 (46:27):
But I kind of enjoyed the experience of being in
the air with other Cowboys fans watching the game, like
they weren't sitting by me, but it was cool to have.
Speaker 1 (46:34):
Them in the plane.
Speaker 3 (46:35):
Did you lose on the plane the game? Oh yeah,
the game. I was still it was probably mid flight
when they lost. So I just shut my laptop and
started working. Not a lot of yeses, no, I mean there.
Speaker 1 (46:46):
Was a lot of yeses in that fourth and when
they did make a comeback, yeah, that's pretty good, awesome.
Speaker 3 (46:49):
I'm an onside kick working like okay. And then it
was right before tom Brady.
Speaker 1 (46:54):
Right about the onside kick. Didn't I went to the
bathroom and didn't see it. So tom Brady how they
got the ball back?
Speaker 3 (46:58):
He's like, you know, it's never it's never over till
it's over, you know, like on the Super Bowl, you know,
we thought we were losing and then all of a sudden,
you got a you know, three point game, three possession game.
We come back and we win the thing. And so
I started thinking, like, he could be right, you know
and make it stop.
Speaker 1 (47:14):
Though on either of those all they have to just
make it up. I know they did, so they did
put themselves in position to actually make it a game.
But yeah, I'm sorry, for your loss. Thank you one
and two.
Speaker 3 (47:25):
Yeah, yeah, that's tough. It's not how I thought we'd
start the season. Yeah, but I'm enjoying the games, man,
I'm telling I'm a new man. I'm not gonna let
it ruin my whole week. It did help that they
played like that at the end of the game.
Speaker 1 (47:38):
Though, Casey jets one, Oh my god, how awesome was that?
Speaker 7 (47:42):
To witness Rogers, Yeah it was, it was awesome. He
went Rodgers and here two in a row going. I
think we're playing Denver next, mister bow Nicks. I think
we'll still pull that one out.
Speaker 1 (47:56):
But where are you playing it?
Speaker 7 (47:58):
I think it's in Met Life because we're on the
road for the first two, so uh yeah, that's what
We're going to London to play the Vikings, Sam Darnold.
Speaker 1 (48:06):
Little playing three out of four games not in New York.
Well we did, we played, we played.
Speaker 7 (48:12):
This past one was in Met Life, this one coming
up is in Met Life, and then we're on the
I got London, Yeah, got it. So yeah, two on
the road, two at home, and then the one on
in London. So yeah, we look pretty good. I think
we're starting to shape up here. I don't know last words.
Speaker 6 (48:28):
Yeah, I'm trying.
Speaker 1 (48:34):
The Arkansas game was interesting. We won, We beat Auburn.
Auburn was terrible. It was a game of who just
didn't want to lose. Like it was a terrible game.
You never frown at an away game sec victory on
the road, you just don't. But God, we tried to
give it away like four times. I don't know if
you guys are watching any of the game, watch a
little bit that fourth down where they threw like a
(48:55):
seventy yard touchdown. Luily, we're up two scores. Uh, that
is a struggle. Yeah, they benched our quarterback for a
series because they did, But it turns out he just
had cramps, but he would he wasn't throwing the ball. Well,
I'm happy for the win, and it was on the road.
Auburn was terrible. Auburn plays Oklahoma this week. Oklahoma's gonna
stomp a hole in them. So I'm just still disgusted
(49:18):
with the Oklahoma State loss from two weeks ago, where
we collapsed. We'd be four and oh still because we
beat you APB by one hundred. It's not even a
real team. We had Oklahoma State up against the ropes
and they came back. We did everything wrong in the
second half. We almost got beat the week after that
by UAB Trent Dilford. I'm just starting to feel like
(49:43):
and I don't know what the change is, but this
this is not long term for us to have some
big success. I think we could squeak out. If we
win seven games this year, that'd be awesome. I want
to win every game and I get sick to my
stomach when we lose at all. If we beat Texas
A and M this week, that will be mad for
our season.
Speaker 3 (50:01):
Then you'll forget about your last loss.
Speaker 1 (50:03):
No, the Oklo Me State game.
Speaker 3 (50:04):
We would get undefeated right now, but you forget about that.
Do you guys beat the Aggies, You'll forget about that.
Speaker 1 (50:08):
No, I won't because text A and M is not great.
And are you in Arkansas? Are you that you're playing
in Arkansas? No, we're playing Dallas. It's a stupid game
where we're playing in world. Remember that one where it
feels so generic and like nobody there's like no home environment.
It sucks. We need to do home and home there
Arkansas want I was happy about it, and I want
a bunch of money and I thought they would cover
and I thought they would win. That's why I put
(50:29):
them as a money line. But man, we should have
beat them by like twenty one twenty four points.
Speaker 6 (50:35):
You watch some of it, Yeah, yeah, I was watching
it because I always watch those games now, just thinking
of you, what's the move Bobby's going to be in
next week on Monday.
Speaker 3 (50:43):
Oh that's a thing. Like even everyone and iHeart was
just like watching, like not watching the game, but watching
the score, like make sure that they win because Bobby's
gonna be in a good mood or a bad mood.
Speaker 1 (50:51):
Yeah, oh that's true. That's true. So anyway, I'm not
gonna be not gonna be sad and I gonna apologize
for a road win. But Auburn is terrible.
Speaker 6 (50:59):
They're They're pretty bad.
Speaker 1 (51:00):
I think UAB would beat Auburn. Probably col went and
beat Auburn. I mean that was earlier this year. Yeah,
so okay, cool Reid. I'd ask you, but you know
I watched sports. Nah, no personal thing here, But was
it Colorado that the football gets hit dude rat in
the chest just bounced off. Yeah, keep talking about that,
keep going. Was that it? Yes? Now, I'm just saying
that and that's how they lost. No was it, I
(51:24):
don't know, you tell me, Yeah, I think I think
they lost from that, yeah, because that was a hill mary. Yeah,
and then they fumbled and then the other team threw
a hill mary one. Actually right, yeah, that's what happened.
Speaker 3 (51:34):
Yeah, I think I think. I feel like because they
had TVs above the Crafts tables, so maybe that's the
game that was on while was gambling.
Speaker 1 (51:42):
Is that what you saw? It was a highlight run. Yeah,
So what happened was they were throwing the hill mary
and that was the next to last play and a
bounce off his chest and complete and everybody's like, oh
my god, they could have scored. The next play was
the throw where they caught the touchdown. Then they won
an overtime. Colorado did it to so Dean in one.
I actually need to get all my highlights here, but
(52:03):
you do. Yeah yeah, Actually, Kevin Tennessee, you're I mean, yeah,
I love Nico man, I like Tennessee.
Speaker 6 (52:12):
Now, I don't want to do New England. We already
did the freaking Jets. That's your my misery minute or
whatever minute of misery. Yeah, that sucked. I was fine home,
and I was like, yeah, Patriots are plane, gonna make
my flight a lot better. By the way, Eddie, remember
we talked about it. They had it on the plane,
No problem, good, I'm watching it and by the second
(52:32):
quarter I was like, oh my gosh, this is awful.
And it was made a long flight even longer.
Speaker 1 (52:37):
What do you think about what Drake may one in?
Because again this was Thursday right, so long ago.
Speaker 6 (52:42):
I was scared for him because he got wrong. Jacobe
was me neither. It's like, if you want to put
him in, that's fine, but let him build up and
get some confidence. You don't want to throw him in
there in like a wash of a game and just
have the Jets defense just go eight, just crazy on them. Yeah,
I felt I didn't like that.
Speaker 1 (53:00):
Okay, well there you go. Sorry about that, buddy. Are
you guys playing this week?
Speaker 6 (53:04):
The Niners, Well, they're down.
Speaker 1 (53:06):
I don't know their whole team.
Speaker 6 (53:07):
I know, and now they're gonna be pissed off because
they blew that game against the Rams and it's at
they gotta fly all the way to California.
Speaker 1 (53:12):
I did even watch into the game. I literally thought
it was over. Turned the school, turn it back on
and saw the Rams to have won the field goal.
Speaker 6 (53:17):
Yeah, yeah, game winning field crazy. They did what the
Cowboys couldn't make a stop when they needed to.
Speaker 1 (53:23):
Wow, they had to bring you back quickly, Jets. When
Giants beat the Browns, think about the Giants when though
was Daniel Jones didn't look bad. But also Miles Garrett
got hurt. Yeah, and so I just saw himri and
his foot if he's gone, I didn't see the Cleveland
does not look good. Cleveland is you know, Giants won
and they I think they're still bad. I think Cleveland's
(53:44):
just awful. I agree Packers win. That's pretty cool for
I don't know. We like the Titans because we live
here and we know some of the people. But like
good for Malik Willis.
Speaker 7 (53:54):
Yeah, will Levis again throwing throwing at the other team
will a couple of times.
Speaker 6 (53:58):
And then he was just getting asked. I mean he
was getting killed back there.
Speaker 1 (54:01):
Yeah, what is he? Is there any hope? Will we
all have us at all?
Speaker 2 (54:06):
Right?
Speaker 1 (54:06):
Thought there could be a chance, But I don't know.
I don't think so. Like he looks good in a uniform,
but other than that, he looks looks good for commercials.
Colts beat the Bears. I mean Caylwiams do for a
bunch of yards. I don't know. It just looked like
two teams that didn't know what they were to do.
They both looked lost. Rich Yes, they both looked lost.
Vikings and Texans. I didn't get to watch a lot
(54:28):
of that, but it was never a game when I
was looking at the score. Was never a game Eagles
and Saints. The Saints were winning most of the game.
Speaker 3 (54:35):
I was watching zero, I think for most of the
game until.
Speaker 1 (54:37):
The fourth quarter. Steal to beat the Chargers. Look at
justin Field, it's good for him, man. Broncos win. Panthers
beat the Raiders, and then after the game, do you
guys see the Raiders coach and he was like they
were making business decisions. So will we because some of
the players like weren't, like, weren't trying. Seahawks beat the Dolphins.
(54:57):
Dolphins are terrible. They have to get a quarterback. Cowboys
lose the Ravens, Rams beat the forty nine ers. What
was that? Lions beat the Cardinals and then Chiefs win.
They won last night. Looked pretty good though.
Speaker 3 (55:10):
They do look good. They just I mean, they just couldn't.
Speaker 1 (55:13):
There's passing affairs on pits, right, I mean we saw that, right.
Speaker 6 (55:16):
I've heard about I haven't seen the clip yet, though I've.
Speaker 1 (55:17):
Only seen the clip I fell asleep.
Speaker 3 (55:19):
There's a there's passing aference on everything, Like there's so
many passing inferences, like if I feel like if you're
not able to catch that ball at all, like because
of what they're doing, Like it's got to be called. Yeah,
it's got to be called, and they just don't and
you can't do anything about it if it's not called.
Speaker 7 (55:36):
Yeah, I feel like case could easily be with three,
but they're three and oh because of like three plays
in each camp.
Speaker 1 (55:41):
Crazy. Yeah, that sounds like a hat more than anything.
I know.
Speaker 6 (55:44):
That's something I would say.
Speaker 1 (55:45):
Yeah, anybody can be three and oh or zero and
three because we're gonna go meta like that meta. Okay yo,
did you smell the will Levis clone?
Speaker 3 (55:56):
Oh yeah I smell yeah, yeah yeah. Somebody here at
work had it and I was like, let me see that.
Speaker 1 (56:01):
It must have been like free, right, like they must
have got it for three dollars, don't know, but someone go,
I gotta get the will Levis clone.
Speaker 3 (56:07):
Or like he works at the radio station. So maybe
like they sent.
Speaker 1 (56:10):
It like it had to be something free.
Speaker 3 (56:12):
Oh yeah, but here's the thing that they marketed as
like mayonnaise smelling cologne, Like it smells good. Yeah, it
smells like a real cologne. I would wear it.
Speaker 6 (56:22):
Did you wear it that day?
Speaker 1 (56:23):
It doesn't smell no, no, no, no, it doesn't at all.
Speaker 3 (56:25):
So I think they just said that to be cute
because it smells like a real cologne.
Speaker 1 (56:30):
All right, Well, you guys have anything you want to
say as we wrapped us up, you want to go
around the room, give me your final thought, Mike. When
I hit the song, read you go first. Oh man,
I just want to say I do not have a
gambling addiction. No one thinks you do. All right, you're
just new to the game, the table games, like we
all went through this. That's true. But I had a
great time in Vegas. I you tired. I'm very tired.
Speaker 3 (56:53):
You stayed up late a lot of nights.
Speaker 1 (56:55):
No in midnight two am your body? Yeah, I guess
said it's true. Yeah, so, but I had a great
time in Vegas. He did say a couple of times.
I love my job, ye man. Yeah, and I haven't
done any sports betting on the app. So I'm gonna
try to keep refraining from that and then just whenever
(57:17):
we you know, go on trips and then we hit
a casino pop in for a little bit, you know.
But other than that went to his high register there, Eddie.
Speaker 3 (57:27):
Yeah, I just want to say I'm not sure how
I feel about my parenting decisions this weekend, because I
decided to take my sixteen year old son to Vegas
sixteen and he.
Speaker 1 (57:38):
Loved it.
Speaker 6 (57:40):
Him and read or.
Speaker 1 (57:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (57:43):
He was like bagging me Deck, Can I play slot machine?
Speaker 1 (57:46):
Please? I'm like, no, you cannot. I heard that he
was singing along like Big Sean. He likes hip hop,
but like singing all the words, all the words like
oh too.
Speaker 3 (57:55):
I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, buddy, whoa, don't say that
your mom's here.
Speaker 6 (57:59):
Don't say that to Chris Martin.
Speaker 1 (58:01):
That's fine, Like I love Kevin.
Speaker 6 (58:06):
Yeah, speaking of betting with Reid, I've actually hit I
found a little niche in betting.
Speaker 1 (58:11):
Oh boy, everybody that's got a system.
Speaker 6 (58:13):
I hit the first TD on prime time games since
night one. I've hit what my five and four and
I just do five bucks on one player on each team,
and I've won like two hundred bucks and I've lost
like twenty five bucks.
Speaker 1 (58:27):
Let's go. That's pretty wait, so what's tonight? Then give
us your pic?
Speaker 6 (58:31):
No, I pick it right before the game. I don't
even look. I don't think about it until right before,
and I just see a name and I'm like, that's
it right there.
Speaker 1 (58:36):
Just see a name sounds fishy to me. Can't tell
us now. But because he only does it right before,
because I can't tell that, ruins old system casey Amon
Rodger's baby. That's that's all.
Speaker 5 (58:49):
You got.
Speaker 1 (58:51):
Too much hope in one man, too much hope and
one man. We're undefeated sec play. What can I say?
We are undefeated in that? Yeah, it's pretty exciting. It
was just I was my My emotions were so torn
because it's like there's no long term, huge success here. However,
I never want to lose, and I get so upset,
and so I'm just like equally like one eighth sad
(59:17):
and seven eighths happy, but I don't want to be
sad at all. So it's like I want to win
every game. But if we win like five or six
games and we don't make any substantial changes I'm gonna
act like I'm gonna care less, but I'm really not.
I'm gonna act like it for a good two months
this year, and basketball is like forty days away. College basketball.
Yeah we got we got John Caliparie and now we're
ready to go to class. All right, that's it. Thank
(59:38):
you guys. We'll see you guys later on this week.
