Wists Stalking Fun and they are whist So, yeah, it's

(01:27):
too bad, but what did you expect.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
It's a podcast called twenty five Whistles twenty wine. Everybody welcome.
So I want to ask you a question about being
a dad.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Yeah, go for it.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
You have a bunch of kids. I have four kids. Yeah,
I mean, Kevin's also a dad, but you know he's newer.
You've got four and you've had him for a long time. Also,
that helmet's killing.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
Your hitt in the mic. I feel like I'm hitting
the mic.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
No no, But you have to like be a little louder. Yeah, okay,
since you're wearing the helmet.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
Yeah, I get the chin strap out of the way
or something.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
He's got a new it's a blue dollar Cowboy home.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
We sign this one.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
That is hershcha Walker? Oh nice? And I'm wearing the
hog hat. Yes, And so if you're watching on video,
we like to give you a little extra, little little bonus,
little visual bonus, little something that being said, I had
a moment where I was thinking about my impending fatherhood
and does it make you far more selfless when you

(02:24):
have kids? Oh? Yes, Okay, so things selflessly speaking, will
be happening to me once I have a child that
probably I don't even realize.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
Now, yes, you're going to be doing stuff and then
you're going to be like, I can't believe I did
that because I would have never done that.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Well, I'm in the middle of a situation now, okay,
because obviously we're going to have a kid, and this
kid is going to be in a home divided. Oh
you in Arkansas. Now, the selfless in me would just
be like be an Ou football fan.

Speaker 3 (02:56):
Because yeah, but I don't think you would do that.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
But that's what I'm saying because if I were really
looking out for the future of this child. I mean,
if it were true selflessness, yes, if it were not
about me at all, I would raise this kid to
be an OU football fan. Yeah. Now, I'm very selfish

(03:22):
when it comes to the situation. But will I be
so selfless that I will say this is not about
me anymore? Young child? You you will be you will
have a team that actually wins, and you will be
a Sooner.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Na not in that case, you don't think so no, no no,
in that case, like it's going to be all about
fighting your wife to make your child an Arkansas fan,
because dude, there's nothing cooler. And I've told you this before.
I have four boys, and one of them is one
hundred percent Cowboys fan, like die Hard. He's gonna go
down with us. He gets sad, he gets happy, he's

(03:57):
just like me. The other three are so wishy. She like,
if they're winning like you Cowboys, they're losing, they're like, eh.
One of them bought a a A Ravens jersey last year.
Like I'm like, dude, what are you doing?

Speaker 1 (04:10):
So do you like it when they're sad with you?

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:13):
Oh you do?

Speaker 3 (04:13):
Okay, that's what I'm talking about.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
But I see, if I'm truly selfless, if it weren't
about me, I would be probably sad. If they're sad.
It sounds like want your child to be Yes, I do,
right now, I do. I'm wear in this. Goddang hoghat
you just got humiliated by Missippi stated of course, I know,
but I really had that moment of misery where I
thought to myself, am I sure that I want to

(04:38):
raise someone in this world? And by this world I
mean an Arkansas razorback fan.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
I mean I felt like that with the Cowboys, Like
do I really want to put them through this? And
I feel bad for them? They're born into it, right,
But dude, there's nothing better than having a team that
you've loved your entire life and your child feel the
same way.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Okay, they have nothing to do with it. I won't
be that selfless then. Nah, it's different. It's gonna be different.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
You can't too much about that.

Speaker 3 (05:01):
Yeah. Something my wife pointed out though, is like, I
guess I've never realized this, but uh, when it's like
if she's not home and it's dinner time, like I
make the food for everyone, obviously, but I serve myself first,
and I just eat. She's like, have the boys eat,
and I'm like, no, but the food's ready, Like if
they want to, like, they.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Can get it. Is that because there are so many
in your house though, constantly competing for the food or
time or screens, that you just take care of yourself first.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
Honestly, I think it comes down to me liking my
food hot.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Okay, well that is a much more simplistic answer than
I thought. And if I serve them first, my food's
gonna be cold. Is it also that they're getting old
enough to handle themselves? Of course, if they were two,
that will be done, like.

Speaker 3 (05:43):
Get a plate and the food's right there, serve it yourself.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
They can all do that by now they can't. Yeah,
Mike went to the Texas game. It was awesome for
about three quarters man, so started watching a Texas jumped
up ten zero. I was like, I'm not watching this crap.
I'm not watching Texas like run away with it. To
be honest, I was like this, So I don't like it.
I was room for Vanderbilt, but I did think Texas
was gonna win. I did say that, And so I

(06:05):
went to the mall with my wife, and they have
like a place in there called Sport and Social in
the mall. It's like, oh, it's a restaurant. I've been
there too, like a sports bar type thing. Huge, and
so we go in and we're we're going to Pottery
Barn to get some stuff. And I really didn't plan
to spend that eleven a m spot at the mall

(06:27):
on a Saturday, but I couldn't take watching Texas win.
And so we're going. I look in Sport and Social
and Vanderbilt's moving. It's near the end of the game
event and I'm like, oh my god, those last four
minutes almost threw up. That's where we and so we're there,
and I didn't want to go into Sport and Social,
but we stood like on the boundary and watch the screens.
I could have watched on my phone, but there, why

(06:48):
not If we were on my phone, though, I'd have
to be in the car driving. So we're watching and
the on side kick at the end, we're watching it live.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
They had that dude.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
That was crazy. I was surprised to see them come.
What happened. The defense just started giving everything up.

Speaker 5 (07:04):
Paby had just thrown it pass, scoring a touchdown one play,
and then I just had visions of us going into
overtime again, and I was like, what is happening right now?
To that last play when it just went out of
bounds and we got the ball.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Was the crowd just so relieved? It was so it
was so everybody was so dejected.

Speaker 5 (07:20):
People started leaving because they thought like, oh, this is.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
It, we won, We're good to go. Oh they were
leaving because you want not because Vanderbilt was coming.

Speaker 5 (07:27):
It wasn't even close, and it was like and then
people were like, Okay, oh they scored, Okay, we're good. Okay,
they're driving again. Okay, now it's close. That was it
with WINN three, and then everybody got just frustrated.

Speaker 1 (07:37):
The energy just left that place. I'm glad for your
sake that you won. I'm glad for arch manning sake
that he played well.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
He looked so good.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
He did look pretty good. He did. He looked athletic,
which you gotta be playing well to look athletic. Yeah,
like he broke. Vanderbilt was just missing so many tackles
the beginning of that game. Before I turned it off
a ten zero, Vanderbilt had missed like eighty first.

Speaker 5 (08:01):
Play tydown like one pass, just straight easy, and I
was like, oh, this is going to be a lot easier.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
I thought it was going to be.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Mike, did the stadium think that Vandy recovered that ball?
Like when they went out of bounce, Like did they
think what did you guys know immediately like Okay, well
that's good.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
We thought Vandy had yet Okay really yeah, and then
the whole with the two point conversion and then giving
it to them, everybody was so upset.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Yeah that's crazy, and watching it back through every different
angle because they gave it to them live right. I
just think that ball was if there was a laser line,
if there was a ball, they had a laser on
the tip. I don't even know watching it back all
those times what it was. I don't think you could

(08:45):
reverse it. I think they don't think that they were right.
I just think it was so close they couldn't reverse.
But it never looked like a crossed It looked like
if it were a laser laser, like you could see green.
It could have been tipped. But I saw an angle
from the state hands, I agree with you, especially from
some of the angles. It didn't even look close. But
I did see an angle from the stands where it

(09:06):
looked like the ball might have gone tip to tip,
like if you and I were standing at it right,
you know, it looked like yeah, yeah, but I agree.
I think it was so close that they couldn't overturn it.
It wasn't that it was confirmed. Do you guys agree
with that?

Speaker 3 (09:26):
Yeah, I just DoD. It's so frustrating, like you talk like, oh,
a chip in the laser, do it.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Let's just do it, especially because we're betting on games,
Let's do it.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
Doesn't soccer do that?

Speaker 1 (09:36):
I don't think so you the Mexican what's funny is
he has no background in soccer, but him like, yes,
Linda's your expertise zero.

Speaker 3 (09:46):
But I do watch soccer. I do watch soccer, and
they don't do on soccer. What is that technology in
tennis where everyone goes.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Well, that's bird's eye, And so they do that now
in the NFL with the first downs, but they never
get it up in time, like it's never well virtual, yeah,
let's go to virtual. And then they wait and they're like, well,
we'll take a commercial break and we'll show you the
picture after the break. So yeah, I wish Vanderbilt would
have won. Obviously, I hate Texas, but I was glad

(10:12):
that since you were there. The worst is going to
a game where you don't live in the place. I
have to come back home. And then it was raining.
I was all wet. Yeah, and if we lose them
to leave this place so depressed.

Speaker 3 (10:20):
Did you have field access? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (10:21):
I was gonna ask how you got on the field. Yeah,
Taylor Cearles hooked it up. Who Taylor's awesome. She's so awesome.

Speaker 4 (10:26):
Yeah, last year too, right, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
Yeah, that's cool. Are you two and oh there? Or
you are?

Speaker 5 (10:32):
I've never gone to a Texas game where they've lost.

Speaker 1 (10:34):
Got a boy, I don't know if I said I'm
not going anymore. Uh so we did. We lost a
bad one in Mississippi State. We were never really a
threat to lose that game. I'm not gonna blame losing
to Well now the second worst team in the SEC.
I think we're probably the worst, or Kentucky. But Kentucky

(10:55):
beat Auburn, so it's like, no, it's us, it's now
that's officially it's hard to say that. But we were
winning that game in the whole time. It felt great
about it. I just pounded the money line. I lost
so much money on that game. Yeah, emotional, but but
I know I never was emotional about it. I never
felt bad about it. That team was so bad. We
can't really blame the refs, but it was terrible officiating.

(11:16):
Like there were they didn't blow the whistle on a
play at all, and so the running back's running and
our guy stands them up and just driving him. No whistle,
no whistle. Oh yeah, I do remember that one boom
puts him down. Ref thow is a flag? They never
blew the whistle to stop the play. Really yeah, And
they threw a flag off Patrino for yelling. So I agree,
But I was fighting. We fight amongst ourselves in Arkansas Twitter.

(11:37):
I was like, you can't blame that on the refs
because that's a bad team. We're a bad team. Yeah,
it sucks, clear every I'll coach them.

Speaker 4 (11:45):
Get the benefit of the down.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
Then here, we're gonna talk to Brandon Marcella coming up
in a second. But they don't. It's not like they
come out with the objective. We really got to really
pump Missippi State Missisippi State up this week. They're important
to us. We got to make them win. That's never
happened in the history of the SEC. Yeah, so same
thing with Arkansas. They don't ever have an agenda to
make Arkansas Missippi State win. But you can't. Like we
rolled into the kicker. They won by three. We rolled

(12:08):
into the kicker, they kicked again and made the field goal.
It was a disaster anyway. I lost a bunch of money.
I don't even care about that. I would rather won
the game.

Speaker 3 (12:15):
Did I see that the last SEC win was against
those teams were each against?

Speaker 1 (12:19):
Yes, against each other.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
That's crazy.

Speaker 1 (12:21):
That's what we do. We're on the bottom level. We
just fight with each other.

Speaker 4 (12:25):
Now here, it starts all over.

Speaker 3 (12:27):
Yes, I saw that slate. They put it off on TV.
I'm like, that's rude, guys, put that down.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
I'm gonna say this, what's my camera? This one here?
I want to say this to all Arkansas fans. I've
got hot intel on who really wants the job, and
it's It would make everybody go freaking crazy in a
good way or bad way. But if I share that intel,
my source will know that I shared the intel. Can

(12:54):
I tell you who it is? Yes, and you just
tell me the the honest reaction. I'll write it down, okay,
because you're gonna tell me what I'm gonna tell you
who it is who really wants the Arkansas job?

Speaker 3 (13:07):
Okay, who wants the job, not the source?

Speaker 1 (13:09):
Got it? Yes? And then you tell me how you
think our fans would react if this guy where the
coade Because I'm not saying he has a heads up
on the job. He really wants the job.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
Okay, ready, Okay, noh, Arkansas. You would lose it.

Speaker 1 (13:28):
You would lose it. You would hurt someone. That's what
I said to you.

Speaker 3 (13:33):
Yeah, that would not be good. Wow, that'd be crazy, dude,
that would be crazy. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
So what's your reaction when you heard that? It was
supposed to get to me? Like I have anything to
do with it, because all I'm just hearing I have
coaches that reach out to mem hmm. But I have
chosen because of this job, and because I don't want
to have to give them any more money, because they
always want more money. If you want to know, have
more access, and I'm good I don't. I don't want

(14:00):
to be emotionally attached to it. I've flown too close
to the sun before. When they said, hey, he would
like you to know that he would like this job
if you could float anything to the powers that be.
I just thought to myself, mother, there is no way,

(14:22):
but I could totally see this happening. But can't you
see it happening?

Speaker 3 (14:25):
I mean, yeah, I could, and I'd see Oh man, yeah,
that'd be crazy, dude.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
I see it being semi realistic, and I think Arkansas
fans would. I don't think it'd be a great day.
Are you so curious? Yeah? Yeah, I'm like, I don't know.
I'm not going to show you. Just don't put on
my camera. Yeah don't.

Speaker 6 (14:50):
Oh I had like names in my head and I
would have been that never would have crossed my name.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
So yeah, wow, the same thing. I was like, wow
really yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, we'll move off because I
don't I don't want this to be the Arkansas Show,
but just sometimes it ends up being. But I won't
be able to get that out of my head.

Speaker 3 (15:10):
No, I know you.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
How do we do on the parlay? I didn't see.

Speaker 3 (15:17):
I didn't see either.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Did I hit you hit? Thank God? I've hit like
I've hit like three or four in a row, and
you picked two Indiana and all the points they wanted to.

Speaker 6 (15:26):
Yeah, that was the lock of the of the week,
fifty five to ten or something like that. So Brandon
had Vandy and he said two plus two and a half. Right, right,
But when I made the bed on Saturday, our bet
they were at plus three, so was it like so
on the app it was plus three. So I don't
know how we scored that. So anyway, it washed and push.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
Okay, that's you kind of win. It's all right. Then
you hit yeah, and then you had and they lost
straight up. Yeah, I ruined this one.

Speaker 6 (15:54):
Haynes King had over five hundred yards of offense and
they still got blown out.

Speaker 4 (15:57):
Yeah, that's insane.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
And that's once coach Arkansas. It's King. That's how we
revealed it. It's a current player.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
That's why you'd be mad.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
So my bad.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
Yeah we didn't win. Okay, football it's back, and so

you can have this. Come on, I'll present it to you.
But are they going to go the opposite of what

(16:55):
Eddie says? And all of them if you're listening, go opposite?

Speaker 3 (16:58):
Well, well, the Cowboys, I'm pretty real listic man.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
Okay, Ceedee Lamb more or less than eighty receiving yards,
way more okay, Okay, Dak Prescott more or less than
two hundred and sixty seven passing yards.

Speaker 3 (17:12):
I bet he gets two seventy.

Speaker 1 (17:13):
Okay, so more just a little bit. Marvin Harrison Junior
more or less than fifty six receiving yards less.

Speaker 3 (17:19):
They can shut them.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
Down, guys, not bias at all.

Speaker 4 (17:21):
Oh that secondary.

Speaker 3 (17:22):
They won't even touch the ball, guys.

Speaker 1 (17:24):
But I guess the thing, though, is Kyler's not starting
right Ja Kobe is they're saying though, that he could
have an impact.

Speaker 6 (17:31):
It's not starting like questionable, like are you really gonna
address him and just have them sit there.

All right, let's go over now to Brandon Marcelo, who
is a national college football reporter for CBS. You can
follow him on Instagram at Brandon Marcello. He is the guy.
Let's talk about college football now. We had another active weekend.
As far as there'll be some more job openings, I
guess I'm assuming you weren't surprised to see the Auburn
job open up after that game.

Speaker 7 (18:47):
No, not at all. Whenever the fans are booing you
off the field and saying fire Hugh after a game there,
you're you're, you're, you're wrapped up. The fans there are great,
and they rarely like boo the head coach or really
the players ever. And so when that's happening there, it's
the decision has.

Speaker 3 (19:07):
To be made.

Speaker 1 (19:08):
What do you think went wrong?

Speaker 7 (19:13):
I could have theories, but also just football. College football
has changed so much since Hugh Freeze was successful at
Ole Miss. You know, he'd had that belief that he
was the guy that could beat Nick Saban. He was
Nick Saban's kryptonite. But one, he's not around anymore. Two,

(19:33):
when Hugh Freeze was at Old Miss. He brought in
top five recruiting classes in an era where there was
no NIL and they were attracting cans at Ole Miss
through various means and Hugh Freese in this day and
age with NIL. To be successful, yes, you need a
program that is very well funded with that, which Auburn is,

(19:56):
but also you got to be a great CEO and
a great have a great eye for talent that's gonna
be able to come in and compliment your roster immediately.
And he Freeze couldn't quite do that. And they brought
him in because he's an offensive guy, and he just
they couldn't do anything offensively these three years, and they've
been even worse. I mean, you only score three points

(20:17):
against one of the worst defenses in the SEC, Kentucky,
and you lose ten to three at home. You go
to Arkansas and you score one offensive touchdown, which is
also one of the bottom two defenses in the in
the SEC. You can't figure out who should be your
starting quarterback. Despite bringing in OU's Jackson Arnold at a

(20:39):
price tag of about a million and a half dollars
from what I understand, that's that's why you hired him.
Was for your offense look good and it looks worse
than it did under Brian Harson, which is I can't
believe I'm saying it, but it's absolutely true. Just go
look at the numbers.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
Do you think that Stoops is next to go? He
just happened to win this game, so we got another
week pass.

Speaker 7 (21:01):
I don't know. That's a much more difficult situation because
his buyout's about thirty eight million dollars and it's all
due within sixty days. They don't pay it out over years.
I mean, someone have to bring up a big check
and like the happy Gilmore check and sign it off
because that I don't know where they can get that money.

(21:23):
I think the best thing to happen Kentucky all week
wasn't the start of the basketball season coming up, but
the fact that they beat Auburn because for now they
could go, Okay, we don't have to write that check
right now.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
Let's stay in the SEC. Texas. Big win. Almost blew it,
but big win. Are they good again?

Speaker 7 (21:38):
You know they've always been good because of the talent.
Whether they could put it all together and make a
runs of the playoff, we'll see. They still have some
very difficult games on the schedule. They're in a position
where they could potentially get in as a three loss
team and be the first three loss team to ever
get in, because their resume would be probably deserving of it.
You know, they've got two opponents left that are like

(22:01):
top five worthy, and if you split those, I think
you'll have enough good of a resume there to make
an argument for them to get in. Plus, the ACC
and Big Twelve are looking more and more like one
bid leagues in the playoff this year, and that's gonna
help out the Big ten in the SEC, but it's
gonna help out the SEC more so because the Big

(22:23):
ten so top heavy. You probably only really have three
teams out of the Big ten that deserve a spot too.

Speaker 1 (22:29):
The ACC bad luck with Miami losing again, they have
to win the conference championship. Now, can they still get in?
Can Miami get in still?

Speaker 7 (22:37):
They have to win the ACC championship. That's the only way.
In my opinion, I think the ACC is just a
one bid league now. They'll be the ACC champion whoever
wins it. So we could sit here and discuss like, well,
what about this team, It's just gonna be one of
the two teams in the AEC Championship game, and that's it.
The ACC is kind of bitting it, beating itself down,

(22:57):
and Miami's been the worst thing that could have happened
in them, you know, other than Florida State earlier this
season going on this losing streak, but Miami falling the
way they have here in recent weeks is just really
damaged the conference.

Speaker 1 (23:11):
I'd like to present a new theory, as I often
do every week, and most of them are pretty stupid.
But I think a lot of these teams that are
firing coaches now are going to look at this season
as the first season of true parody and that all
of this losing isn't so indicative of the coaching but
the new environment of college football. And there will probably
be some of these jobs that shouldn't have lost their

(23:33):
head coach this year. I think the losing is so
new to the culture, and everybody's losing more because of
portal nil and I think there are going to be
some schools. I'm not putting Arkansas on that mix. I
think that made the right decision. There are going to
be some schools that look back and go, we probably
shouldn't have cut our guy that quick, because now everybody
just loses more.

Speaker 7 (23:53):
Your thoughts, Wow, that'd be a great saying for the SEC.
Everybody just loses more. I'd like to see that commercial.
We need to redo that commercial on the beach.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
Uh.

Speaker 7 (24:07):
You know, you look across you know, a lot of
these firings have been warranted. I don't know if I
agree with the Brian Kelly firing. It's just everything has
to be contextualized, right. But like a lot of these situations,
it's interesting. I think Brian Kelly at LSU and Hugh
Freeze at Auburn were very much alike in that I

(24:28):
think Brian Kelly was checked out quite a bit, and
I do think Hugh Freeze, for multiple reasons, was a
bit checked out because you know, he was golfing all
the time. He's been dealing with health issues himself, as
we've known in the past. But also I think Hugh Freeze,
ever since he got fired at ole Miss, was always

(24:48):
just trying to get back to the SEC, and I
think once he got there it was like mission accomplished.
I accomplished my goal. He didn't really have goals beyond that.
And I think that and in this day and agent
don't know how to adapt anyway. So it's just like
I made it. I proved, I proved myself, and I
think Brian Kelly to a certain extent, was that way
at LSU because he's like, I did everything I couldn't

(25:10):
notre Dame. I'm gonna go to LSU and everything will
just fall in place, and that's that's just not how
it goes, and that's a danger I think that people
need to learn here getting retread coaches. You better make
sure that guy's like still got that hunger and that
fire in his belly. Otherwise you're gonna repeat what the
exact mistakes that LSU and Auburn just had.

Speaker 1 (25:31):
I would probably try to be unbiased and put the
Auburn job ahead of the Arkansas job. So I think
Arkansas is now probably five overall. I would go number
one job is obviously LSU, and then Florida, Penn State, Auburn, Arkansas.
Would you write them the same?

Speaker 7 (25:50):
I'm trying to go back here, actually, because I actually
did something like this. You're probably gonna hate me because
I do not have Arkansas that high. And it pains
me to say that as a fellow or cans and.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
You think Virginia Tech's dotage job.

Speaker 7 (26:03):
Yes right now because of the commitment financially and the
plan they have in place. Until I hear different for Arkansas,
Virginia techs above them. Virginia Tech's going to raise their
average budget by almost sixty million dollars a year with
the athletics department. They've got that in place, so they're
trying to you know, they've got a planet place. So

(26:26):
the way I got I got LSU one despite all
that craziness in the background. Two A and two B
I think is the tie Florida and Auburn, and then
below that I got Penn State, Virginia Tech, Arkansas.

Speaker 1 (26:40):
Yeah, pretty close. But does Virginia Tech. Do they get
to wear this on their head?

Speaker 3 (26:46):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (26:46):
Or no? Hey don't That's right.

Speaker 7 (26:48):
They do wear hard hats. Yeah, got the hard hats.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
Those are easy, get those at any home depot. This
you have to get at a specific place that molded
this plastic exactly like a hog. That's all I'm saying there.
Brandon Marcella, Georgia down another one. Does that mean they're
a gritty team or they're just maybe not as dominant.

Speaker 7 (27:03):
They're not as dominant. I've been saying all year with
their defense, the defensive line just isn't the type of
defensive line that just puts fear into opponents. They're not
getting a lot of TfL's a lot of sacks this season.
Their offense is just great enough, but it's not elite.
They just simply kind of suffocate everybody because they have

(27:25):
more talent in the end. Also, George's actually got some
breaks this year, especially officiating in replays. I mean, remember
the Auburn game weeks back where Auburn had a touchdown
taking off the board. And you also look at this
past week where it looked like the Florida receiver caught
that ball right inside the end of the red zone
where Florida could have went up they're late, but they

(27:47):
rolled it in complete on the field and then the
review didn't have enough evidence to overturnament. Looked like a
catch to me. But this team looks very similar to
the one that lost last season in the playoffs right
to Notre Dame, where they just kind of they're going
to meet someone in the postseason where they're just not
going to be as schematically good and they're gonna get

(28:11):
beat that's my opinion. I don't think they're going to
be a team that makes it deep in the playoffs
once again, that they're just gonna be good enough to
compete in the SEC, maybe contend for the SEC championship,
but then lose at some point in the playoff.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
We had Alex Gola Sean and there were a couple
of new stories that came out. They said I cornered him.
I didn't corn them. I want okay. I walked him gently.
At the very first of the interview, I said, hey,
I'm not going to ask you about any job. And
I said it to him, I said, so, I know
everybody wants to ask you that I will not ask
you a single question about any job. And at the

(28:43):
end of it said, hey, favel in the fall. How
does it sound his wife is from Greenwood? The whole thing.
I didn't corner him. He had a good it's a
good guy. I like him. What are you hearing about him?

Speaker 7 (28:53):
He'd be someone that Arkansas is interested in. Yep, yeah, yeah,
and his name is probably gonna come up some other jobs. Well, listen,
I know that this is kind of hard to grasp,
even for me as a reporter. We're still so early
in the coaching carousel cycle. I mean, we might have
nine FBS jobs open right at Power Conference jobs right now,
which is crazy. But it's early November, first week of November,

(29:17):
and we're not going to start hearing like legit candidates
and where they stand with jobs until Thanksgiving week, probably
based off of the past. But Goalish is a name
that's been coming up at Arkansas. So is Eric Morris,
the North Texas coach. But what's going to be fascinating
to see is whether those their names start coming up

(29:37):
in the most recent job openings, not necessarily as a
top target, but as someone that could be involved and
if And the reason why I say that's important is
because if you're involved with a coaching search as a candidate,
you can use that as a negotiating tactic with other
jobs that you maybe have a more realistic job opportunity
to jump at and get. But you know, I've got

(30:00):
my own opinions on like who should hire who?

Speaker 1 (30:02):
Yeah, let's do it, let's go.

Speaker 7 (30:05):
I mean Lsu Yeah, sure, l s U. Lane Kiffin
if you can get him, If you can't get him,
to hire John Summer all at too.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
Lane, I like this I like best case and then
fall back. That's what I like. All Right, so we
got that's LSU. Then let's go to Florida.

Speaker 7 (30:22):
Lane Kiffin and if not, if not Lane Kiff and
Eli Drinkowitz.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
I listen, I love drink I love them like I
think that dude is such an outside the box thinker.
And you know, my own brethren, brethren, they do not
love him, mostly because we get run over by him.
I love him. I've had him on multiple shows. He'll
he'll be awesome wherever he goes. I think he'd be
perfect for that Florida job. Do you think he would
take it?

Speaker 7 (30:45):
It's a great question. I do think that he has
to weigh all that. I think it'll come down to
financial resources. Missoo's in a pretty good spot financially. It's
just like, but maybe you can go to Florida and
just get that next level up of talent.

Speaker 1 (30:59):
Okay, let's stoop and date.

Speaker 7 (31:03):
That's the job. I don't know. They swung and missed
on Matt Rule. He got the contract extension last week,
and that is going to be fascinating to watch. They're
trying to swing big there. Well, we'll see, but I
need to recalibrate that and talk to some people.

Speaker 1 (31:24):
Then let's go to Auburn brand.

Speaker 7 (31:26):
New John Summer all at Tulane and I would make
it very clear to him you are top target. Don't
go sitting around waiting for LSU or other schools. We
want you. You're our guy. Come home. You're an Alabama guy,
you are from Huntsville, Alabama, your wife went to Auburn,
Come home, lead SEC program. I'm gonna give you everything

(31:47):
you want. And his personality fits in well, I think
culturally with that program job. And if not him, If
not him, I would look at like an Eli Drinkowitz
once again, he's got Auburn ties himself. And I would
maybe even do wild card stuff. I would I would
look at the possibility of how it would work of

(32:08):
getting Jimbo Fisher.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Dang, the fan base would riot. The fan bases are
usually stupid, but regardless of every fan base, because the loudest
stupid ones are the ones that make the most noise.
I think the fan base would riot if they hired
Jimbo Fisher.

Speaker 7 (32:22):
Yeah, but that's a job he's always come close to
almost getting several times in the past. He's got connections there.
He used to go hunting right outside Auburn quite a bit.
He might still, but yeah, and also if I'm Auburn,
I would just be crazy enough to reach back out

(32:42):
to Lane Kiffin because Lane almost took that job a
few years ago. And I would circle back just and go, hey,
you certain this time. I know those other jobs, but
maybe you come here and we'll give this to you.
But Auburn's gonna get a good coach this go around?

Speaker 1 (32:56):
Am I right to say that that job is a
bit more attractive since the last time it was open
because Nick Saban is no longer across the street.

Speaker 7 (33:04):
That but also the talents is much better. The roster
is set up to win. I mean, this roster this
year should have won eight or nine games. It's been
coaching malfeasons this year, and that roster going next year
depending on who they keep. And then also they get
a lot of good guys in the transfer portal, they
make a higher early enough that that's a roster that
can win eight to nine games right off the bat.

Speaker 1 (33:26):
In year one, Arkansas.

Speaker 7 (33:33):
Eric Morris and then my second would be Alex Gullish.
I would be happy with either of them. I think
they would both be great HighRes Eric Morris. The reason
why I'm so high on Eric Morris is because he
has identified talent everywhere he's gone. He's the guy who
got cam Ward, He's the guy who got John Mattier

(33:54):
at Washington State, and now he's got a quarterback at
North Texas that's just shattering records and they're all diamonds.
And the rough his quarterback now in North Texas de
even play high school football as a senior, was a
no star recruit and now he's shattering records in their
contention for the American Conference. Plus his offense is really exciting.
Same with Alex Golish and Alice Golish, as you mentioned earlier,

(34:15):
has connections to the state of Arkansas. His wife's from Greenwood.
I would zero in on those two candidates, but when
it comes to Eric Morris, they'll have to fight Oklahoma
State potentially for him.

Speaker 1 (34:27):
Okay, that was my next f two more Oklahoma State
and UCLA.

Speaker 7 (34:32):
Oklahoma State, Eric Morris, and then maybe you look at
Zach Robinson, former Oklahoma State player now in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
I think Franklin goes to Virginia Tech. Is why didn't
even mention them. Do you think Franklin goes to Virginia Tech.

Speaker 7 (34:47):
I think that process is gonna have to work itself out.
I think I think he's going to have to sit
here and wait to see if he might end up
being involved at some of these other bigger jobs if
those bigger jobs don't get their number ones. And for
that matter, Franklin can sell himself as Listen, I'm ready
to go now. You don't have to wait on me.
I come in and build things up. We're not going
to miss early signing day in early December. We're not

(35:09):
going to miss the transfer portal window there on January second.
Bring me in and I'll get a staff together and
we'll hit the ground running. So I think he's going
to play this out a little bit for the next
few weeks.

Speaker 1 (35:19):
All right, do UCLA and have one final question.

Speaker 7 (35:23):
I don't know about UCLA, but I haven't heard his
name come up. It'd be two names, but I think
one of them want to take it. Jason Eck at
New Mexico. He's just phenomenal and so much fun to watch,
and then Dan Mullan at UNLV, but I don't think
he would take the job at UCLA. I'll give you
a third name, Will Stein, the offensive coordinator at Oregon.

Speaker 1 (35:46):
I know Dan Molland is not gonn take the Arkansas job.
He tweeted that late at night. Yeah, he was like, hey,
well there is a guy that you should go after
and it's not me. And I thought that was pretty funny.
Took it down. I wish you would have taken it
down because I did.

Speaker 7 (35:58):
Oh, he took it down.

Speaker 1 (35:59):
He took it down yet. Yeah, yeah, I.

Speaker 7 (36:02):
Mean, listen, I know Arkansas fans probably wouldn't be all
that high on it, but it would be better. Gus
Maleson would be better than what they've had are. I
want to tell you that right now. He would bring
in recruits. He would recruit, he would get, he'd have
a good staff, and I think because it's home for him,

(36:22):
there would be an understanding there that this is I
He would be rejuvenated in a lot of ways. But
I can understand why because of the past. I mean,
he came close taking the Arkansas job back in twenty seventeen,
and then he stuck at Auburn, and then Arkansas went
and got a Gus Mauson clone, which was Chad Morris,

(36:42):
and that guy was an absolute not a clone. He
was like you ever see the movie Multiplicity with Michael Keaton.
He was like the tenth copy of Gus.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
He was yeah, Tim Mouzon exactly all right. Final question, Uh,
top four teams get to buy unlike I share with
the Big four conferences got to buy it. Just top
four this year. If you were slotting them now, who
would get the buys?

Speaker 7 (37:06):
Ohio State, Indiana? Maybe Old Miss and over A and
m huh No, you're right A and m over Old
Miss and I'm blanking. I mean, I just did my rankings.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
I don't think YU is good enough. They're still undefeated.
I think if they went out though, they probably have
a shot. If you're do you turn away an undefeated
BYU though as a.

Speaker 7 (37:38):
Buy Well, what helps BYU in this is that we
still have conference championships around. So if one of these
teams were to lose their confen championship game, they're gonna
fall completely out of that top four. And the reason
why I say that's important is because you've got several
SEC teams that could be top four teams, like even
right now in the first CFP rankings. So here's how

(37:59):
I'd have it, I'd have it right today. It would
be Indiana, Ohio, State, Alabama, then Texas, A and M.
So I would have Alabama over in A and M
right now.

Speaker 1 (38:08):
All right there he has Brandon Marcelo on Instagram at
Brandon Marcelo. Good to see your buddy, and hopefully I'll
see you soon.

Speaker 7 (38:13):
All right, see you by everybody.

Speaker 1 (39:20):
WA had a work party for Halloween. Yeah, I obviously
didn't go. I didn't either, I say obviously, because I
don't go to any party, regardless of work or nine.
You know. Yeah, but I wouldn't have been surprised to
hear that you went.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
To the work party. I just had to go.

Speaker 1 (39:33):
I had to leave it one there, Kevin, you went,
I did. Is it because you were already in the
building or did you stay in the building to go
to the party?

Speaker 6 (39:39):
No, it's because I was already there. I didn't participate
in everything because we were working. It was during the morning,
but after we wrapped up.

Speaker 1 (39:45):
What time did they have the party?

Speaker 3 (39:47):
Like start morning.

Speaker 1 (39:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (39:51):
Yeah, and then like they had bagels and all this stuff.
I didn't participate in any of that hanging out, and
then they took a picture. I literally just ran in
there when I heard they're taking the picture, and I
took it.

Speaker 1 (40:00):
Oh so you didn't go to the party. You just
took a picture from the party.

Speaker 7 (40:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (40:02):
And I just kind of said, hey, guys, I'm here
dressed up too.

Speaker 1 (40:05):
And you wore your belichick got it? Yes, the one
that you thought I just wore. Did you get like
a bonus or something? Why were you so set on
getting in the picture? Some who can?

Speaker 6 (40:13):
I think Lunchbox came in and he was like, hey,
they're taking the picture. I was like, you know what,
I didn't dress up for nothing. I'm going out there
to get something out of this, and uh yeah, it's
it was cool even though I didn't participate. But there's
some people at work that you know, you only see
every now and then. Salespeople come in like what twice
a week maybe, and when they're dressed up, I'm like,
I really.

Speaker 1 (40:33):
Don't know who you are. Oh, you mean as a
in the costume?

Speaker 7 (40:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (40:36):
Yeah, So it's a little awkward, but I got in
the picture.

Speaker 1 (40:38):
We used to have even before you were at the company.
We used to have massive Christmas parties, oh, like where
the whole company was alcohol and the local part of
the company. Yeah, and it would be they would give
out freaking sixty inch TVs.

Speaker 3 (40:52):
Oh damn is crazy.

Speaker 1 (40:54):
It's like a different time. It's like I'm talking about madmen,
like the fifties. Yeah, like money was flowing.

Speaker 3 (41:00):
You know what though, when I first had my first
job out of like I was actually still in high school,
maybe my first year in college, I had a job
at the TV station and they had a Christmas party
and this was my this was my first view into
the real world. And like their Christmas party was at
a hotel. Everyone got a room. There was an unlimited alcohol,
and like it was awesome. I asked this girl, I'm like,

(41:23):
do you want to go with me? And then I
was like, I have a hotel room. This is amazing.
We didn't even use it because they.

Speaker 1 (41:28):
Gave you a hotel room. Yeah, dude, I was nineteen
years old and I'm like, you're giving me a hotel room.
I've never been anything that was crazy. Yeah, you missed it.
You missed the good old days.

Speaker 6 (41:37):
Oh no, I hear all the time these parties. I
heard you have these parties. Yeah, hey, the good old days.

Speaker 1 (41:42):
Uh. Did anybody have trouble watching games?

Speaker 3 (41:45):
Oh?

Speaker 1 (41:45):
Yeah, YouTube TV? So I went and downloaded the day
pass on Sling. Didn't even know that. Talking about what
happened if you have YouTube TV there as of as
we're recording this late Sunday night, you have no ABC
or no Disney. Oh dang, meant no ESPN. Oh and
Arkansas was on sc network Game Day that's ESPN. Yeah. Yeah,
so there was nothing, so you had to find a way,

(42:08):
and so you were scrambling, scrammed. I was like Grandpa
and usual, pretty tech on. I ended up going and
downloading Sling and they have a one day option. You
can pay six bucks to have TV for a day. Yeah,
and that's what I did in order to watch the games.

Speaker 3 (42:22):
That's like one of the shady hotels.

Speaker 6 (42:24):
Do they they don't have multiview? Do they like YouTube TV?
That's the worst part.

Speaker 1 (42:28):
Oh easy, guys, that's how I live my life. I
don't have multi pas.

Speaker 3 (42:30):
Oh yeah, that's with me every weekend. Really, yes, back
and forth, it's.

Speaker 6 (42:34):
To oh dude, you gotta change that hard, well, not yet,
wait for them to sign the contract then change it.

Speaker 1 (42:39):
We just had two games we wanted to watch, and
it was the Arkansas Misssippi State game at three and
the Oklahoma Tennessee game at six thirty. So we bought
the day bats and kept those on. I watched the
World Series on my phone because the World Series was
not on one of the Disney properties. So that was Yeah,
that was good, which was crazy because I turned that
on in like the fourth inning. Feels a bit even

(43:01):
though it was Game seven in a great World Series,
it feels a bit like baseballs, like the NBA, Like
I just watched second half and really just fourth quarter.

Speaker 3 (43:06):
H Yeah.

Speaker 1 (43:07):
Yes, So I watched a little on and off while
I was watching the Oklahoma game, and then about the
seventh inning, I dial didn't ready to watch a Blue
Jay's victory. Yeah, holy crap, what a crazy, crazy ending. Yeah,
really one of the crazier like live baseball World Series
endings I've ever seen.

Speaker 4 (43:24):
Yeah, I turned it on in the eighth inning, I believe,
and I was.

Speaker 1 (43:26):
Like perfect, yeah, perfect, But that was perfect.

Speaker 6 (43:28):
Yeah, because I saw all the big plays that everyone's
watching throughout the weekend, and yeah, it was wild. Those
back back plays in the ninth inning, Yeah, that the the.

Speaker 4 (43:36):
Home runners made well.

Speaker 6 (43:37):
First of the home run, yeah, then the two plays
the infield and then the pop fly out there that
was wild.

Speaker 1 (43:42):
Yeah he was falling back. Yeah at second after he
hit the home run, makes him play at home and
then after that to play on the outfield. New center
fielder comes in. Yep. It was amazing. The Dodgers were
supposed to win that because everything that happened was like,
oh my god.

Speaker 4 (43:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (43:57):
So once they got within one run, I put twenty
bucks on the till, like they're gonna win this thing.

Speaker 4 (44:01):
Didn't think it was gonna be like that, but it
was wild.

Speaker 1 (44:03):
I didn't feel very patriotic because I was rooting for Toronto.
I couldn't have been more of Canada because the Dodgers
are what's wrong with baseball. Yeah, but I wished the
couplet spend that kind of money. Like, I'm not a
hater on it. They're just playing by the rules better.
There is no salary cap, so by all the best players.
I saw the funniest meme though. It was like fans

(44:25):
of the Dodgers and it was like a bunch of
Mexican dudes, and it was like players of the Dodgers
and like a K pop band.

Speaker 3 (44:32):
That's pretty fu.

Speaker 7 (44:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (44:33):
Their pitcher won MVP right.

Speaker 1 (44:35):
The game six and seven.

Speaker 4 (44:36):
He was a winner for.

Speaker 1 (44:37):
Game six and seven.

Speaker 3 (44:37):
He was the one that pitched like almost the whole
game game three.

Speaker 6 (44:40):
Or some game six and then he came in for
game seven and extras dominated again.

Speaker 1 (44:45):
But it was It was one of the funnier memes
up in a while. And I thought to myself and
my races for laughing at this, and I don't think
I was. It's Los Angeles, and it was highlighting sure
that multiple cultures can come together, regardless of their possible
bias before. Yeah, yeah, anyway, it was funny.

Speaker 4 (45:04):
And yeah, I feel bad for Blue Jays fans.

Speaker 1 (45:07):
Yeah that sucks. That Yeah, that sucks. I felt bad
for me using Sling. So dude, I downloaded the app.
I hate downloading apps. I will do anything to not
download a new app, and ended up downloading it to
our Roku, download it to my phone, pay my a little.
That's a process, it is. But now I know if
something goes out, you got I can go pay my
cards in there now to I go pay my six

(45:27):
ninety nine or whatever it was for the day and
watch whatever I need to watch. Yeah, it's not an
AD because I don't even know to what. I've heard
a sling.

Speaker 3 (45:35):
So who told you to do that?

Speaker 1 (45:36):
Dude? I tried everything. I googled, how can I? I
tried to go buy the live package on Hulu, but
Hulu now is through Disney Plus. Yes, dude, I was
lost in a maze.

Speaker 6 (45:47):
Yeah, there's so many avenues and they knew. Yeah, well
that's the whole point. That's why they're fighting, and they're
trying to block everybody to get off.

Speaker 1 (45:54):
Of YouTube TV because they want to have you to
come to them for it, because it's all Disney. Hulu's
Disney Disney Plus is off basically Disney.

Speaker 3 (46:00):
And I saw something recently that UFC is going to
be on Paramount Plus next year.

Speaker 1 (46:04):
Yes, yes, that no paper So yes sucks and is
awesome if you already pay for Paramount Plus, it's awesome
because you're not get to pay extra for the pay
per views.

Speaker 4 (46:14):
Yeah, no pay per view.

Speaker 6 (46:15):
Pay for the pay per view, right, I do pay
for you don't pay for.

Speaker 3 (46:24):
My mouth is got caught up there too much.

Speaker 1 (46:26):
So if you already pay for Paramount Plus, you won't
have to pay for a pay per view. But where
that would be annoying for someone is if they don't
pay for Paramount Plus, they have to pay for Paramount
Plus to get what used to be the pay per views. Right,
So you're gonna.

Speaker 3 (46:47):
Still have to pay for the pay per view because
now it's ESPN Plus, which you pay for.

Speaker 1 (46:52):
But that's different. You have to pay for the pay
per view on ESPN Plus right now. Yes, ESPN Plus
also has now the new extra version of ESPN that's
not Plus like unlimited Limited. Yes, I saw that. Oh yeah,
and so if you want to watch wrestling, you have
to have that.

Speaker 3 (47:09):
And it's unlimited idea.

Speaker 1 (47:14):
Yeah, follow the camera follows him a home, that's what
it says. But if you have Paramount Plus, that's good
for you, okay, because you're already paying for it anyway,
I have it, and you don't have to pay for anything.
Once the fight's happened, they're just automatically going to be there.
It's like the wrestling deal with Peacock when ww was
only on Peacock, right, Mike, he had Peacock, that's what
it was. So if you don't, but I'm not a
big UFC guy.

Speaker 3 (47:34):
Every week I love it.

Speaker 1 (47:36):
Who's your favorite fighter right now?

Speaker 3 (47:38):
Right now? Probably as Sonya, it's probably my favorite fighter.
I like Sean Strickland a lot too.

Speaker 1 (47:49):
Well. These they're like shooting stars though, like because of
how violent sport is, it's not like you can have
like a seven year super fan. No, I'm a massive
Sean Strickland guy at his height, yep, Like you can
still root for him. Like Chandler still fights, right, but
he's I've all I only started no Chandler once he
came in the show because I'm not a big UFC guy.
But now he's like aged. Yeah, he's considered an old fighter, right,

(48:11):
like one of the greats. And it's so hard for
these guys to stay on top. Now, I mean he's
like nineteen, he's having to retire for a Like Sean.

Speaker 3 (48:17):
Strickland was like awesome for me, and now he just
gets you know, he's i think lost to the last
two fights. So it's just hard for any of these guys.

Speaker 6 (48:24):
Once they lose, they lose like four in a row yep,
and it's just over. It's like a running back in
the NFL.

Speaker 1 (48:29):
I like it, man, dude, you know how much I
like it.

Speaker 3 (48:31):
I watch Dana White's Contender series, and that's like, those
are the people trying to make it on Tuesdays and
they fight each other and there's only I think there's
probably like six fights, and out of the six fights,
he awards three contracts to a fighter, and so you
kind of get to see like, all right, here's someone
in the making. I love it. So it's like college football, correct, Yeah,
and they're good enough to try it, Like if they

(48:51):
have a really good fight, he signs them. And then
you see him in like a real UFC fight in
like two months and he gets knocked out. It's like,
well he's.

Speaker 1 (48:58):
Oh there goes that goes that some other notes that
I have here, haha. Duke over Clemson. Yeah, again, I
don't dislike anything about Clemson fans, the team, just Dabo.
Is he going to get fired? I don't think so.

(49:19):
I don't think.

Speaker 4 (49:20):
Okay, that was the first win I think since nineteen
eighty Duke at Clemson.

Speaker 1 (49:24):
My prediction for the Penn State jaw was many Diez
a long time ago. He's Duke's head coach. I think
that was a big win for him.

Speaker 4 (49:31):
Yeah, they've had a couple this year.

Speaker 1 (49:33):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, especially whenever Penn State's kind of looking
for the coach and like Brandon Marcella was saying, he
thinks they're probably, you know, evaluating a lot of things
right now. But yeah, how about that. Sorry, Debo, it's
on you, dude. Another one, it's on. Another note, another one,
another one. When I was watching Red Zone yesterday, there's
only a few commercials that come on, and people acted

(49:56):
like they were going to riot because Red Zone had commercials.

Speaker 3 (49:58):
I was one of those people.

Speaker 1 (49:59):
But the commercial first of all, they're short too, they
pop up on the side, they're boxed down, they don't
take you full screen. Correct, That's okay.

Speaker 4 (50:06):
They should have clarified that, by the way.

Speaker 3 (50:08):
Yes, for sure, because I was thinking they're gonna cut
to commercial, We're gonna miss the action.

Speaker 1 (50:11):
Yeah, not prices the same and show commercials. Yeah, I'm
okay with that. And again it's not all the time.
I think it was like a less some luxury car
popped on and I was like, oh, I need to
make a note of this because everybody gets so mad
when they hear Red Zone has commercials, but Red Zone
hasn't lifted their prices, and people are always lifting prices.
What people failed to acknowledge is they didn't lift their prices.

(50:34):
Instead of that, they took a couple of commercials and
they're not full box with those commercials. So I'm good
with it.

Speaker 3 (50:40):
Yeah, and it's not that expensive. I made my son
bit by red Zone because it's kind of expensive. We year,
like five hundred bucks a year. No red Zone you're
talking about you're talking about the take.

Speaker 1 (50:50):
Oh, yeah, that's I'm talking about altogether.

Speaker 3 (50:52):
Though.

Speaker 1 (50:52):
Yeah, I made my son buy red Zone.

Speaker 3 (50:55):
He always wants to watch red Zone.

Speaker 1 (50:57):
What's red Zone casts by itself? Thirty bucks a month.

Speaker 4 (51:00):
I think he's like an extra ten bucks a month.

Speaker 3 (51:01):
I think it was thirty dollars total, like thirty five.
He got a deal like it was to the seasons.
It was once the season started and he got it
for like thirty five bucks for the rest of the season.
But it was huge because I bought the ticket and
then he'd always come like, hey can we watch this game? Like, bro,
I paid for this, Like this is my Sunday. I
get to pick the games.

Speaker 1 (51:17):
We were selfless, Like we're talking about it. Eddie gives
me another example of being a selfless dad. Go ahead.

Speaker 3 (51:22):
So he's like, well, okay, well, Ken, just we just
watched Red Zone. We're all happy. I'm like, no, I
want to watch the four games I want to watch.
You want to watch Red Zone? You buy it? And dude,
he bought it and it's pretty cool. It's like he's
just like he goes up to his floor upstairs and
he watches Red Zone the way he wants to watch it.

Speaker 1 (51:38):
Can I just possibly be incorrect? And a question that
I'm asking, Yeah, yeah, can't multiple screens watch because I
feel like I can put it on my phone and
I can put it on the screen. And that's one
account where he just could have watched it on his
phone and use your account without having to take from you.

Speaker 3 (51:55):
With my ticket. You can't once another device uses it yalone.
Really yeah, okay, so that's the only reason it was
a problem, because if it wasn't a problem, Yeah, did
you watch yours? I watched mine. But it's pretty crazy,
like and the fact that he bought it and he
gets to enjoy it. He's like, I get to watch
whatever I want. I get to watch my Red Zone.

Speaker 1 (52:13):
I also confused Red Zone for the entire Sunday ticket,
which is not which is very expensive. Yeah, when you
were like, bro, where are you getting your money?

Speaker 3 (52:22):
That one's not cheap.

Speaker 1 (52:23):
I had to reevaluate how much everything costs as I
was trying to go through the apps to find out
how I could watch TV for one day, Like I
saw what I bought. Yeah, you go to subscriptions in
your iPhone, it tells you everything, and it's like managed plan.
I wanted to every I went into Hulu w and
a Disney plug, just trying to get live TV for
a freaking day. And then I saw how much everything was,
which is how I know how much Sunday ticket is,
which in a bad mood, Yeah, I was just like, oh, dang,
we're paying a lot. How much is the NBA League Pass?

(52:47):
I don't know because I've just had it. It just
renews itself. Okay. My wife watches it way more than
I do now because she watches basically every Thunder game.
I don't know. Somebody could probably tell me.

Speaker 5 (52:57):
One o nine for the standard plan, one sixty for
the premium play a month.

Speaker 1 (53:01):
Or or the whole thing annually. Oh it's so bad.

Speaker 3 (53:05):
I'm bad because I got I got to deal with
DraftKings where I got three months free of a free
NBA League pass. How about that? It was awesome, dude.
So now I'm about two weeks into it, but three months.

Speaker 6 (53:16):
Free, three months plus get three hundred dollars in bonus, bitch.

Speaker 3 (53:19):
Oh, thank you Bobby Sports.

Speaker 1 (53:22):
Cod and Bobby's Sports.

Speaker 3 (53:23):
Thank you, COVI.

Speaker 1 (53:24):
That is right. Two other notes I have here. Have
you guys seen the video of and it's from years
ago of Oklahoma coming out with all the smoke in
the entrance. Yes, okay, so we'll put it up in
the screen now as this club. But Oklahoma's running out.

(53:45):
It's a day game, and there's smoke all coming out,
and you know, then they run out of the entrance
and so a few guys come out, and then all
of a sudden, no guys come out, and then the
smoke starts to dissipate a bit, and there's like thirteen
players on top of each other because it couldn't see
in the smoke, and they all fell down.

Speaker 3 (54:00):
Brutal.

Speaker 1 (54:00):
I've never seen that before. I thought it was AI
because it was, and I'm still not convinced it's not AI.

Speaker 5 (54:07):
Yeah, because it's not probably a week and a half ago.

Speaker 1 (54:09):
So I can pull it up on my phone now.
And I asked Kaitlyn if she had seen it. She said, yeah,
she saw it. She didn't know what it was from.
But my point is I don't believe anything now. Yeah,
because AI makes everything look so much funnier. This was
the funniest thing I've ever seen. Like, if this actually
happened to the game, I think it's the funniest thing

(54:30):
I've ever seen.

Speaker 5 (54:31):
So can you google Mike, Yeah, it says it is real.
No way happened on November twenty four, twenty twenty three.

Speaker 1 (54:39):
You want to see it?

Speaker 3 (54:40):
I do wants this.

Speaker 1 (54:41):
Okay, here they come smoke all the first let level
of players there.

Speaker 3 (54:45):
It goes about ten of them. Yeah, oh, and then
one hits the ground.

Speaker 1 (54:48):
Now they're stop, They're stopped. They're stopped. It's like once
to choking. Now look at look at all of them.
Throw all piled up, throw a pile up, therow on
the ground. The savage.

Speaker 3 (54:58):
The savage is the guy.

Speaker 4 (55:01):
And then one comes.

Speaker 1 (55:03):
The one that jumps over everyone not me, well, the
first one that show it looks like there's a probably
it looks like he's vomiting because he got hit with gas.
Like you see him come on the very edge. Yeah,
like he's like and then the smoke dissipates of it
and you see him all like laying on top of
each other. I thought that's so funny. I thought it
was Ai.

Speaker 5 (55:21):
Apparently it was venibles who fell first and then everybody
fell behind.

Speaker 1 (55:24):
Oh no, you couldn't see because of the smoke. Man,
when older people fall, do that hurts? That's so sad,
Like hurts to watch it. Yes, it hurts to watch
older people. But we didn't see it, so we didn't
watch it.

Speaker 4 (55:36):
I thought it was fake, like stepping on dudes.

Speaker 3 (55:39):
You know. My son was watching YouTube. I don't know,
it's just watching YouTube clips or whatever, and he found
one and it was like fifty stadium fails, the NFL
stadium fails. And there was one there where like I
guess it was pretty recent where the Titans the pyro
fell over and like burnt half of the sideline people

(56:00):
on it or just decided there were people there, but
once it fell everyone got out of the way.

Speaker 1 (56:04):
Can you laugh at these? Or is this like people
catching on fire?

Speaker 3 (56:07):
I no, no one, no one dies, but like, and
there was one where there was a fire in the
raptor in on the top, like in one of the
rafters of the arena or whatever whatever the stadium was,
and some one dude had to go up there and
like turn out the fire, and once he turned it out,
a piece fell all the way down to the field
and then started the field.

Speaker 1 (56:26):
Killed seven people. That's not fun anymore.

Speaker 3 (56:29):
It looked like it was from the eighties. I'm like,
this is crazy. I don't remember any of these.

Speaker 1 (56:33):
How'd that chain gang go?

Speaker 3 (56:35):
Success?

Speaker 1 (56:36):
Oh? I saw your picture, success, Dude. You shouldn't be
taking picture while you're on the field. I snuck one in.
That's like a cop, like in the middle of a
drug bus taking a selfie.

Speaker 3 (56:43):
I know what I did was I waited till like
some of the student camera people came by me, you know,
and then I just kind of looked like everyone else
just took my phone up took a picture. But dude,
I did great. Accept Except dude, when the game was over,
fight breaks down the field. Both teams. As soon as
the game was over, one kid throws a helmet. Next
thing you know, the both teams are fighting and I'm

(57:04):
in the middle of it. You're on the field know.
It happened right by the sideline, got it, and like
we were about to just put the chains up and
go home. The fights in the middle and we're like
freaking out. I want you guys to guess what I did.
Did I fight?

Speaker 1 (57:18):
No?

Speaker 3 (57:19):
Did I try to break up the fight?

Speaker 7 (57:20):
No?

Speaker 1 (57:20):
No?

Speaker 3 (57:21):
Did I bail? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (57:22):
You probably lowered your head and got out of there. Dude,
I bailed the kids. If they were your kids, maybe
you hop in and try to make sure.

Speaker 6 (57:31):
No, of course you got out of the chain and deflection,
get out of my way.

Speaker 3 (57:36):
One of the coaches that was next to me is like,
oh hell no, he ran out and he started to
break up the fight. I'm like, man, that sounds that
looks kind of.

Speaker 6 (57:43):
Cool to like go over as a coach, So he
should Yeah, you shouldn't.

Speaker 1 (57:47):
You were an unbiased not even the main member of
the chain gang. You're like the last member.

Speaker 3 (57:52):
Of the chain gang.

Speaker 1 (57:52):
You're working anyway at them.

Speaker 4 (57:53):
You're reserved.

Speaker 1 (57:54):
You know what was.

Speaker 3 (57:55):
Cool At the end of the game, the head ref
came up to me, shook my hands and thank you
very much, just you or everybody the chain gang, the
three of us.

Speaker 1 (58:03):
That's cool. I mean, and I felt dude, I felt
like I was part of it. That's cool.

Speaker 3 (58:06):
Then thank you.

Speaker 4 (58:07):
Hey did you ask him? Hey, how did you get
into reffing?

Speaker 3 (58:09):
Though?

Speaker 1 (58:09):
No, I still think you should look into NB a
referee that looks so stressful. There's no way because the
coach starts yelling at the ref and the ref's like,
I'd give you one warning, stay off that field. That's
cool though. You know, you get to see that. That's
cool and you get to see that, man, I could
be you. You know, you can be a line jade.
You don't have to be the white hat.

Speaker 3 (58:27):
That's true. There are a couple guys that kind of
you know, they don't say much.

Speaker 4 (58:29):
Have you been yelled at by a coach yet?

Speaker 3 (58:31):
Or no, No, I've almost tripped the coach just because.

Speaker 1 (58:34):
Of the chan Yeah you know so he now that's
more him tripping over you to hold you tripping a coach.

Speaker 6 (58:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (58:38):
They always say it too, don't they like watch.

Speaker 3 (58:40):
Jay Watch Chang's Coming through, Change, Coming Through, And I
do appreciate some of the coaches. Some of the coaches
tell the kids to get back, get back, chain gangs
coming through love that.

Speaker 1 (58:48):
Uh. People were asking me if I ended up betting
Brandon Walker. Oh yeah, did you Brandon Walker from Barstool?
Oh yeah? Who was wanted to bet me straight up?
And he called me a chicken ass on his show
The bad Word a couple of times, and I wasn't
afraid to bet Brandon Walker. But god no, I replied,
I'm not betting you. We're gonna lose this game.

Speaker 3 (59:08):
I won the whole time.

Speaker 4 (59:09):
Was there any part of you during the game, We're like, dang,
I should have made that bet.

Speaker 1 (59:12):
No, because I know we're always one step away or
one turn from losing. Guys, I don't think you understand
we do. We do, even you got to win championships
in the nineties. Yeah, yeah, we have Super Bowl champions Yeah, championships,
Like don't but you do too.

Speaker 3 (59:25):
Jerry Jones, team man, Jerry Jones, Jimmy Johnson, they.

Speaker 1 (59:28):
Were No, that's not my team thirty I'm not a
Cowboys fan. Nineteen sixty four doesn't count.

Speaker 3 (59:36):
Sixty four they were the champs.

Speaker 1 (59:37):
Yeah, that doesn't count.

Speaker 3 (59:39):
Weren't they also the champs in ninety.

Speaker 1 (59:41):
Well basketball in ninety four, okay, yeah, but football never
had a deal. Yeah, never got sucked. We almost got
there once. We run defeated until Tennessee and Clint Stone
and fumbled. We won that game.

Speaker 3 (59:56):
What year was that?

Speaker 1 (59:57):
Ninety seven, ninety eight, ninety eight, what do you see
when the sternover was Mike ninety eight. I don't do
years very well, but ninety nine we end up beating
on with Anthony Lucas. I'm pretty sure that's what it was,
but yeah, it's bad.

Speaker 3 (01:00:13):
Ninety eight, yeah, ninety eight. I do years based on
program albums, especially those nineties, like ninety eight. Yeah, that
was the Yield album. I remember that year.

Speaker 1 (01:00:23):
We should mention before we go. My wife also does
this thing where if I'm talking about something she has
no interest in, she pushes the air, like pushes the
skip button. She just does that, and I know she
just wants she wants to me to skip, just go
to the next track or whatever. I have to make
you think, yeah you did.

Speaker 3 (01:00:39):
I just want to hit the way.

Speaker 1 (01:00:40):
You were doing that. I just hit the button. I
never got to use that on anybody, and it really
felt powerful because she does that crap to me. We
were in the car, we were driving somewhere and I
was talking about something and she just pushes the glove
box and I was like, what do you do? Is
you go? Skip? I was like, what, I don't I'm
bored because I think I was talking about some some
stupid thing. It's forts, and so when you're on that,

(01:01:00):
I was like, Skip, are you going to tell? And
it felt so good, so good.

Speaker 3 (01:01:08):
You know what I did? I was reading a book,
not really a book, but I was reading something and like, it's.

Speaker 1 (01:01:12):
Called TikTok, it's called watching that.

Speaker 3 (01:01:14):
No, it's actually like literature, and I try to zoom
into it like an idiot.

Speaker 1 (01:01:18):
Oh, like a page. Yeah, I don't think you're an
idiot for doing that.

Speaker 3 (01:01:22):
I was like, man, I can't see it.

Speaker 1 (01:01:23):
Yeah, I think I've done stuff like that. The Bengals game,
we obviously have an interest in that because it's one
of the teams that we bought in our league is
a crazy It's a crazy game. Did just see an
onside kick get recovered? It was itself?

Speaker 3 (01:01:36):
Yeah, the fact that they came back and made it
a game, yep, yep, and then.

Speaker 1 (01:01:39):
The on side kick they got it, which is crazy,
and then the lead freaking scored and then what happened, Well,
then we knew that the Bears were going to get
in field goal range and make it because I think
I have a text we gave thread fifty second. Yeah.
I was like, this is over. They're gonna get in
fil gold range and you almost turning field goal range
now on the kickoff. Yeah and so yeah, I was like,
this is so and then they freaking and it goes

(01:02:00):
to Courtland court Loveland. Oh my god.

Speaker 6 (01:02:06):
I was outside cooking after Bengals scored. I was like,
I was barbecue, like perfect out here cooking. I'm dank,
can they're gona wining this game.

Speaker 1 (01:02:12):
I walk in but.

Speaker 4 (01:02:14):
Bengals lost.

Speaker 1 (01:02:15):
I'm like, what, Oh, you didn't see the loss?

Speaker 3 (01:02:17):
See?

Speaker 6 (01:02:17):
And then I look at your I look at my
phone with you guys, and I'm like I can't even
text back.

Speaker 3 (01:02:21):
It was so bad.

Speaker 1 (01:02:22):
Right now, Buffalo this we're watching the end of this game.
So we're gonna shut this down with Buffalo twenty to
twenty one over Kansas City. Weedy kan City to win.
They just got the ball back and City did.

Speaker 4 (01:02:30):
Yeah, Buffalo just punted.

Speaker 1 (01:02:32):
Okay, a couple of things and we'll be We'll wrap it.
The way that the Auburn head coaching firing happened was
the funniest thing I've ever seen on social media and
maybe in coaching firings, because how that was announced was
a guy named great Underscore tweeter tweeted out rarely in
the day breaking. It's like from a a burner account.

(01:02:55):
He's not even a guy's the real profile is he
just trolls people from this account. He tweets out. The
standing one thirty pm T time held by coach who
Freese at the Auburn University Club has been canceled. We've
attached screenshots of the t sheet change. A shakeup is imminent.
No why someone who was probably a member at the
country club saw that his standing tea time, which is
his wife Jill Freeze, is under her name one every

(01:03:18):
Sunday it was canceled and that's how it was announced
that that's canceled. Wow, looks like he's not playing. Why
is he not playing? He's going to be at this facility.
Boom fired.

Speaker 3 (01:03:28):
So is that what Bran was talking about just playing golf,
playing a lot of golf?

Speaker 1 (01:03:31):
He well, he plays a lot of golf.

Speaker 4 (01:03:33):
Yeah, you're playing every Sunday during season, Like, come on, I.

Speaker 1 (01:03:37):
Don't have a problem with that, but what if you
have a drink somewhere. Yeah, as long as you're winning,
who cares?

Speaker 3 (01:03:42):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (01:03:43):
Long more hours, dude, you can have He didn't have
kids that are that are young. I agree, And maybe
you're playing with your coaches. Sure, but I think people
were following his handicap and seeing how much he was playing. Well,
he was the guy I was talking about like months
ago that it went viral because he wanted to make
his and he kept real so he logged every freaking
a round he played, and you can follow that. He

(01:04:03):
was playing like three four times a week supposedly.

Speaker 3 (01:04:05):
Yeah, it's not good.

Speaker 1 (01:04:06):
That'd be awesome, though, it would be cool. That'd be awesome.
I think that's it. How about Cam Little sixteen years
new record, broke the record another one and how long
was that.

Speaker 4 (01:04:20):
Seventy?

Speaker 1 (01:04:24):
No, we were just talking about the record at sixty eight.
And what makes it cool is he broke the record. Yeah,
but he came back and the game. Do you know
what was.

Speaker 3 (01:04:33):
Crazy about that was funny about that is red zone
is they showed that kick and then the next one.
I think.

Speaker 1 (01:04:40):
The charge the rams kicking he misses.

Speaker 3 (01:04:46):
Oh my god, that's so many.

Speaker 1 (01:04:48):
Poor guy.

Speaker 3 (01:04:50):
His family's watching like, oh, damn.

Speaker 4 (01:04:53):
Yeah, good for him.

Speaker 1 (01:04:54):
That's cool. In our little fantasy league, I'm playing Mike
this week. Mikey team struggles this year. Huh yeah, it's bad.
I got one win. Yeah yeah, I see yours with
the trending loss like I think it's like L four
my worst year of all time. Yeah, I didn't. I
was playing Mike's team and I was like, okay, and
then I noticed he was one in seven?

Speaker 3 (01:05:15):
Does he have the what is the red one? Say
the l He's.

Speaker 1 (01:05:17):
Only lost one in a row. He must have got
that one win right before he had lost like six
and then one one. Uh so yeah, so I'm playing
Mike this week. Looks like I'm gonna do okay. Yeah,
all right, that's it. Thank you guys, Thanks to Randa, Marcelo.
Everybody good. Yeah, good win, Kevin, Patriots, Eddie bad Beangals loss.

Speaker 3 (01:05:36):
This is just getting worse.

Speaker 1 (01:05:37):
It's okay, the Packers lost too, but Packers did lose.

Speaker 3 (01:05:39):
Good.

Speaker 1 (01:05:39):
Keep pounding on what I keep saying.

Speaker 3 (01:05:42):
That was awesome.

Speaker 1 (01:05:42):
Yeah, that was awesome. All right, thank you guys.

Speaker 3 (01:05:44):
That is it.

Speaker 1 (01:05:45):
That's lots to say.

Speaker 3 (01:05:46):
No, that's wrong, choir, that's like saying the wrong girl's name. Dude.

Speaker 1 (01:05:53):
No, here's why I said that. I sit in this chair.
We don't. We don't always do that.

Speaker 3 (01:05:57):
We don't always just told me.

Speaker 1 (01:06:01):
We don't always do this show from this house. Messed up, bro,
that's so weird, dude.

Speaker 6 (01:06:07):
Yeah, yeah, I'm you're always sitting chair.

Speaker 1 (01:06:11):
I'm like, all right, that's Matt Castle.

Speaker 4 (01:06:16):
Plead for the cowboys.

Speaker 1 (01:06:17):
