Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's the Best Bits of the Week with Morgan number two.
What's up, y'all? Welcome to the Best Bits. It's Morgan here.
This is Best Bits, just the Bits on part one.
I brought on Scuba Steve this weekend for a pre
Turkey conversation that was a little loopy because we recorded
it super early in the morning, and I'm not a
(00:23):
kidding when I say we were loopy like crazy, So
make sure and go check that one out. But this
is where I break down the bits from the show
this week and playing back for you in case you
missed him, in case you want to relive it or
anything like that. So here we go. Brooke Shields was
on with us this week and she talks about the
movie that her and our own Amy Brown are in
(00:44):
called Holiday Harmony, coming out on HBO Max on Thanksgiving,
so be sure to check that out download HBO Max
so you're all ready to go for next week. But
she also talked about her career and being a child
star and what her normal life kind of looked like
for her growing up, and it was just a really
cool interview. I've never heard a lot of stories about Brookshields,
so it was cool to hear them from her, and
(01:06):
she was super vulnerable and open, which is always a
fun interview. So check this one out right now. Number seven,
Friday Morning conversation with Brookshields Brooke, Good morning, how are you? Oh?
I'm good. How are you? I'm doing pretty good. I
was listening to your podcast. Man, you guys go right
at it. I mean, it's like it's like real deal stuff.
It's you go right to the point. It's very vulnerable,
(01:28):
but it's also like super authentic. What you're so famous?
Did you have some some urge to just put it
all out there? Finally? You know? It's it's funny. I
just um, when you've been around this long, you sort
of find that there are only certain areas in which
you really get to be authentically yourself and heard, and
that's in writing a book or doing something that is
(01:52):
relatively life like, like a podcast. I never really set
out to do a podcast, but now what came to
my mine one day and I said, you know, everybody
that you think you know, or that you have an
expectation about or a preconception, they've all had these now
loat moments, And I thought, I think people know that
(02:13):
I'm not going to try to catch them in something.
But I'm vulnerable enough so that they feel safe, you know.
I mean, it's it's an odd thing. I'm having so
much fun with it. I'm getting better at it. I
was a little I was a little not very journalistic
in the beginning. I basically, having been on the other
side for so many decades, I would find myself giving
(02:34):
them permission not to answer any of the questions. And
then I got better at it. Have you found yourself
sharing a story and then going, oh, man, was that
did I just share too much? Like having to actually question?
And then you allowed it to exist, but then you
were happy you did. What would be an example of
that where you were like, oh, I'm really putting it
out there. I think, you know, really just airing insecurities
(02:58):
in a way that is not polished. You know. I
will say, a book you can sort of you you
can work with words and you can sort of get
what you want out, but but you're still sort of
hiding behind a book. And I think just admitting to
being scared at times and really insecure and and you know,
(03:19):
falling into the traps that other women over forty. I'm
fifty seven, but Steel and you know, as you're saying it,
you're you think, oh God, am I going to sound
like I'm whining or poor me? And and then you
listen to it and you're thinking, no, it's just I'm
I am a woman like many other women, and we
all go through things, so it's scary at first, but
(03:42):
then when you hear it, you think, I've been really honest.
How are you getting I know the answer, probably because
you're just cool and have a lot of cool friends.
Are you get a lot of a A plus less guests?
Do you have to lure them in, like, come on, guys,
trust me, it's a lot of fun. Or they just
pretty willing to hop in as well. I think they're
pretty willing to hop in. I mean a lot of
it is, you know, around they don't want to do
it unless they're promoting something, which I totally understand, or
(04:05):
if it's too close around a certain incident that is
so fraught in people's minds, you know, they're a bit hesitant.
And but nobody has said anything is off limits. And
there have been people that have been that are very
clear in how they want to answer the question before
the question even gets asked, And there are some that are,
(04:26):
you know, just very skilled at not answering the question,
and even those people have at the end said wow,
you kind of got that out of me. But it
didn't feel mean, or it didn't feel like an I
gotcha moment, or it didn't feel like it pulled out
headline that that's what's gonna that's the sound bite that
we're gonna just base the whole interview on. I did
(04:47):
see a clip that, again was a sound bite, because again,
you talk about so much, but I saw there was
one where you were talking about actors that you had dated,
and it kind of became a big story. Do you
know sometimes when you're telling these stories that it's probably
going to be picked up. Yeah, oh yeah. I mean
I joke with my publicist because I'll say, I'll say
under my breath, I'll say SoundBite or you know, that's
(05:10):
the headline, and it becomes just a game because it
seems so reductive and typical, and you know what I mean,
it's like everybody's desperate for the for the SoundBite and
the one line. You know, this has started since I
was a virgin, and that became everybody's main focus, which
(05:32):
is ridiculous. On many levels. So I've been dealing with
this for a few decades. Now, do you feel like
you had at all a normal childhood? You know, I've
ben't asked that question forever, and I don't know what
normal is. Conventional. No, when other kids were playing soccer
(05:53):
or whatever the sports were, I was going to photo
studios at Avidans and Googolo and you know do I
was earning a living, so it's not conventional. But my
mom never let me leave go to professional children's school,
and I never lived in Los Angeles until until I
(06:13):
was doing a television show, and so there was this
work life and then real life, and real life was
with my mom and then with my dad in separate
families and regular school. So for you know, until I
was twenty in my twenties, well twenty one, I was
in a regular school schedule, and that was about as
normal and as normally pressured as it can be. My
(06:38):
vacations were not conventional, and my extracurricular activities were not,
but my mom always made the production send a girlfriend
with me, or send my sister with me, and so
I always had this sort of grounding of a twelve
year old, a thirteen year old. A fifteen year old,
I wasn't always surrounded by adults, so the two of
(07:00):
us could sort of get together and giggle about how
crazy we thought adults were. So to me, I think,
I think it's actually pretty normal, almost more normal than
some of my normal friends. Do you what I find
it super impressive about you is that you went to Princeton.
I mean, do you find people are often shocked at
that fact? Always they were shocked the day I got in,
(07:23):
and then the whole kind of campaign started with why
did she get in? Did she just get in because
she was famous? And then when I get to school,
all the teachers wanted to make sure that they weren't
ye giving me any extra, so they graded me harder
and they were, you know less, they just because they
had something to prove as well. And then over time
(07:46):
just my work ethic was so intact. What was strange
was coming out of college my freshman term, first term,
freshman year and having a press conference because they thought,
you know, if you do a press conference about what
it's like, what you're you know, your real life is like,
they'll leave you alone. And the press were shocked by
(08:13):
a level of maturity that they hadn't seen in me prior. Yeah,
I wasn't looking to anybody for my answers anymore. I wasn't.
I wasn't worrying that an answer wasn't going to be okay.
And I was using bigger words, you know, because here
I am at Princeton thinking I better use bigger words.
And I don't think they liked it. They didn't like
(08:34):
non malleable Brook. Suddenly Susan was a show I watched
all the time, loved it, And a lot of these
shows are coming back reboot formed. Have they come to
you and said, let's do Suddenly Susan again? If they did,
I'd probably say yes without even them getting the question out.
But I don't think that we were ever. First of all,
they canceled us at ninety eight, so we never Yeah,
(08:56):
it was all a nice little plan that they had intact,
which idea know about which I will say I've got
a little bitterness or maybe a lot of bitterness about that,
but not from a syndication financial standpoint, just from you know,
how wonderful it was to do that show. I mean,
we just were so happy, and then tragedy befell the
(09:19):
show and we lost one of our cast members, and
it kind of was never the same again. And I
think I think Warner Brothers or NBC would probably argue
we were never a big enough hit to merit a reboot.
Now shows get picked up for eight or nine. We
never had a season that was fewer than twenty three,
(09:39):
twenty two, twenty six, you know, so it in these
days that would be a huge hit. And then back then,
you know, we didn't get two hundreds, so they sort
of checked us off. I can't believe they got it
to ninety eight purposefully. And yeah, well then that's almost
I mean, I mean, that's mean. Well, I think it's
a financial thing. I mean, all these things end up
being financial, you know. You we think they're personal because
(10:01):
we're living in it day in and day out, and
we're performing in front of a live audience, and we're
having to think on our feed and we're getting new
scripts every day, so we're so in it. And and
then you realize, oh, it's just a money game. After
a certain number, this entity doesn't pay for a production anymore.
It switches over to this entity and they may or
(10:22):
may not want to do that. So it's the same
thing that happened suddenly Lipstick Jungle. We were number one
for a while, and then Tvo came into existence and
practically overnight all of our advertisers pulled out because people
were fast forwarding through the commercials. So it didn't even
(10:43):
matter how much people loved us watching us. They wanted
to fast forward through the commercials, and there for all
that money practically overnight gets now you know. Now they
found ways around it. But we were right at the
on the sort of precipice of TiVos, so that was
sort of you know, that happened too. So these things
(11:03):
you'd think they're mean only because they feel personal. And
the older I get, the less personal I realize it
all is right. Now we're talking to actress Brookshield. Hey,
how good are you at memorizing scripts? So I have
about twelve pages to do tomorrow for this project that
I'm doing, and I have not started to memorize it.
(11:24):
But you can you can do do all twelve in
a night? Yeah, I can. I have this. It's some
a You have to put yourself in a position where
you can still listen, and that's the that's the trick,
so that you're not just reciting words but I memorize
things based on where they are on the page. So
when I think about where a page as I have highlighted,
(11:46):
I'm such a geek bout. I mean, I highlight and
I note and I make red notes. And my husband says,
you're such a dork, But um, yeah, I don't. I'm
I'm trained to have to think quickly. You know a
lot of the time when you do these commercials, before
they had teleprompters and before they had in back in
(12:07):
my day, you know, or in the day. I still
feel like it's my day, but you didn't have teleprompters.
You had to memorize everything. And so I think I
just got trained. Brookshields is on with us, and I
encourage you guys to check out our podcast now what
with Brookshields. It is a very authentic, very vulnerable. It's
an original podcast that examines pivotal moments and people's lives. Again,
(12:27):
it's very honest. It's a great podcast. And then also
thank you coming from you, that's a that's a big deal.
I mean, this is I'm coming into a world I've
I've never been in. And then it's been very well received,
and I thank you, and I didn't think people would
really want to hear me anymore in my life and
people do se do want to be interested in hearing
(12:48):
my guests. Well, I hope people check it out. And
then there's also Holiday Harmony coming out on HBO Acts
and so when that when a movie like that comes
to you and we have a special interest here with
that movie because if you put the Cameron me for
one second, Amy has like four line five lines are
still in the movie, and yes she does, and you
see her in the trailer. I mean she looked so
beautiful in the trail. As I didn't get to meet you.
(13:10):
Oh I know. I was there the last day of filming,
so you've already done with your scenes. And I was
definitely excited to possibly see you. So to see you
now fun. So I was. I was way up with
the alpaca farmers and up in northern cal They didn't
bring me to Hollywood. How does like a Christmas movie?
Because It's been Amy's dream forever to do like a
(13:31):
holiday movie and now they're super cool again, and how
does a Christmas movie come to you? Do you go,
I'd like to do a holiday movie because they are
so cool now, or do they go Brook, we got
this perfect idea. It's a really good movie for the holidays.
For a while, holiday movies were sort of taboo, you know,
they were they were sort of, Oh, you're doing a
Hollywood movie. That means like it's not I mean, you're
(13:52):
doing a Christmas movie or a holiday movie. That means
that you're not doing real edgy stuff. Well for sure,
all I've never really been a g in that way.
They come to me and I'm prepared to not like
them because they're pretty formulaic. And then every now and
then one will come up, or two now and twisted
(14:15):
my second one, but that will touch a chord and
be an escape. And I think that that's what that's
what I love about them, is if they're especially if
they're directed well, and if they have enough of a
story that does deviate from just the regular holiday Christmas
formula movie. And I mean I read a lot of them,
(14:38):
and I don't say yes to most of them. I
did one last year for Netflix, which was extraordinarily popular
and it was so much fun to do, and it
was called Castle for Christmas. And these movies come out again.
It's funny because they then they bring them back out
again for the next holiday, and you're sort of like, oh,
I just think for me rom coms, holiday movies they're
(15:04):
based in joy. You sort of know how they're going
to turn out, but you still want to be on
the journey with it and just looking at the news
and just being in the world. It's just so hard
these days that these kind of movies are wonderful escape.
I would compare holiday movies now to game shows, where
for a long time I wouldn't take a game show
because I was like, game shows are hokey, and if
(15:26):
if I ever do and host a game show, then
I'm always going to be a game show host. However,
then but now they're really cool again. I think Steve
Harvey kind of brought that back where you could be
a real talent and be funny, and then everybody's doing
game shows, and now everybody wants to do a game show.
I would I think those two kind of run alongside
each other. I think you made a great point there.
For a long time it was like, we don't want
to do that, but now like you almost want to
(15:47):
do host a game show or a holiday movie. Well,
you know, it's funny because everything is, you know, everybody.
There was a time when oh, you would never be
a TV actress. Oh god, no, you know, and then
you know when Helen Hunt comes and does you know?
Mad about you? And I was obsessed with it and
I was like, wait a minute, she could do it.
I can do that. And prior to them, you wouldn't
(16:08):
touch TV, you know. And then there are all these
sort of taboos that come around, and I think, slowly
but surely, the joy that is in all of these
emerges and everything's I don't think there's anything off limits anymore.
I think the crossover is I mean amazing. You know,
look at what Julie Roberts and Clooney just did, did
(16:31):
a rom com sort of movie like that, and we
just flocked to it because it opens up your heart
a little bit and it's escapism. Well, Brooke, we're big fans.
And I hope everybody checks out now what with Brooke Shields.
It's a wonderful podcast, and I hope they check out
Brooke and her co star Amy. Yes. Yes, Holiday Harmony
on HBO Max. That is out November twenty fourth, which
(16:53):
is Thanksgiving, right, Yeah, it's Thankgiming Day. And I was
told by Lauren Swickard, who's one of the writers and
producers that I guess I technically am a supporting role.
That's my oscar for supporting actress. Yes, yes, yes, Brooke,
big fan. Thank you very much, good luck with the podcast,
(17:14):
and we appreciate your time this morning. Thank you. I
appreciate yours. Hope to see you in person one day.
All right, breast, it's the best bits of the week
with Morgan number two. This segment is going to make
a lot more sense when you hear the number one
this week. But you know, we're just in the order
of the way that things happen, so we're letting it go.
(17:34):
I matched with somebody on a dating app that's been
in the news for their relationship to a country star,
and the show tried to guess who it was. I
never revealed who it was, and some of y'all online
we're very mad that we do segments where we don't
reveal things. But you know, there's always some fun in
a little mystery. Why did we all like Scooby Doo
and Ghostbusters because there's mystery people, it's fun to guess
(17:56):
things and you might never know who it is, or
you know, five years I may reveal who knows, but
it was fun. Everybody tried to figure it out and
had a good time with it. And yes, this is
a true thing that happened. I'm not making it up.
This is real. I have screenshots to prove it. Some
people on the show. I've seen it. So listen for yourself.
Let me know who you think it might be. You
can shoot me a message and have some fun with it.
(18:19):
Just enjoy the mystery people. Okay, Number six, Morgan said
on the show yesterday she's single again after a year
and she's been dating on Hinge the app. It's been
going okay, but I know, you know, maybe you guess
can figure it out because I don't know who it is, Morgan,
tell them what happened. So someone tried to match with
me on the dating app. And there's somebody that has
(18:40):
been in the news a lot for their relationship to
a country star, and she's not going to confirm or
deny regardless of what we say. Hold on, hold on,
But that's the clue, someone who's been in the news,
so it has to be yet. Yeah, yeah, okay, let
me think hold on. Don't don't spoil because no, no,
don't give me anything. Hold on dating a country star,
(19:00):
so it has to be wait, you're assuming dating, oh
married if they're yeah, they were married. I never even
thought about Mary. Yeah, it could be either. Why are
you writing something down? I want to show you. No,
I want to guess. Oh, I can't think of anybody.
Can have some fun. That's the point. I want to
have fun. You guys always get to play the game
to show you who I think it is. Yes, because
I have no one, we probably have show Okay, maybe,
(19:22):
but now I'm not buying it. Oh no, that's not
what I know. Do I know him? Do I know
him really? Well? Yeah? No? No, oh then it's not Morgan. No, guys,
show you Bobby not confirming denying anything. You just deny.
I would saying no to you that you don't know them. Well, sorry,
I was refeating myself not to google that person. That's interesting, Amy,
(19:45):
you have to google that person? Hey what Amy has?
Whatever Amy says, I'm gonna say out loud, but whatever.
I want you to just go regardless of what I say,
just go. Who knows. I want you to already have
your response ready so people don't judge it based off
your tone. So whatever I say, go up, who knows Amy?
Who do you have? I can't you want me to
say the name? Okay. The only reason why I say
(20:07):
in the news right now is I just read an
article about him yesterday. Just things are being said about him.
No I know who it is, Oh, Jenna kramers Us,
who knows? Okay? No, No, I know, I know, I know. Okay, Again,
this is all speculation. Morgan just told me, and she
didn't even tell me. I will say that I did
not swipe right on him for a reason. See yeah,
(20:31):
because because yeah, is it a note to who? I said? Well,
who knows? Okay? Nice? So the only clue is they're
in the news for for being was it a marriage
or was it a day eating? Who knows who? I
got a question? Was Casey Musgrave's ex husband a musician? Yeah?
(20:53):
I don't know who he is, but that it could
be him. He's not in the news right now. Did
we say right now? No? Yes? Did not right now?
I just said in the news for who they dated
as a country star dated Amy, they weren't married, who knows?
Who knows? So it could have been Casey Muskrat. I mean,
I don't know who that is her ex husbands Rust
and Kelly. But she's saying dated, not married. No, she said,
(21:17):
who knows? No, it could have been either. She said dated.
She literally said dated. Are there a lot of famous
people on hinge? No, this is the first one I've seen.
Are they like B list c Liss? Hey? Who knows? Yeah?
Who knows? Like I'm Morgan back at it? And you
didn't want to date them? No? I did not list.
(21:38):
And maybe I didn't want to date them because I
just don't find him attractive. I don't know, who knows? Right, hey, yeah? Yes?
Is there any other celebrity couples that are in the
news that dated somewhere? It doesn't have Okay, let's think
of all this thing. Think about this. We're gonna come back.
What is wrong here so far? And I think if
she told to be like, oh, but we don't know,
(22:00):
she's not going to tell her. She's just gonna say, well,
who knows? That's right and right. I'm just trying to
think of what the artists have dated in the past. Yeah,
here's Riley Green, Thomas Rhett Riley Green. No, no, no,
what does he have when we say no, of course not?
Oh good one I'm joking. I don't think it's real.
(22:24):
All right, It's the best bits of the week with Morgan.
Number two. Abby also had some big news to share
this week. She hired a vocal coach and she got
a new singing gig, which was super exciting, and of
course somebody on the show had a lot to say
about it, but most of us were just happy for
Abby and she's doing something that she loves, so super cool.
(22:47):
And the cool thing about her new singing gig is
that if you're in the Nashville area, you could hire
her number five, Hey, Abby, would you mind come to
the microphone? Abby has an announcement, like two announcements she's
gonna make. Oh she's dating that dude. What dude, Nate Smith?
Oh no, I don't think so. Are you okay? Did
you guys ever talk? No? I can't message me A
(23:10):
couple of times like good for and I was like
you sounded awesome. I love Nate Smith. I called on
myself after the show went that day. Really yeah, I
never call people after a show, but I was just
I got his number from Brent and I was like, dude,
is awesome, Like great job? I like you. That was it.
I was like, hey, I like it. Click. When's the
last time you got stalked? Oh? A couple of days ago. Yeah. See,
(23:32):
her hesitation is always well, I'm gonna let it be.
I'm not gonna I'm moving on from this. I'm and
if she ever has something, she can come to us.
That being said, we got a couple announcements here we're
gonna do. Number one is I love when people on
the show decide they're gonna go and work toward a goal.
They're gonna try to make themselves better because they have
a passion. Abby, what are you doing to make yourself better?
So I got a professional voice coach, like I've been
(23:55):
saying you need to do all along. But the best
singers have voice coaches. No, that's what I'm saying. I
told her all along her voice wasn't good enough, that
she needs to get a voice I don't think people
don't go to a voice coach because her voice isn't
good enough. They get a voice coach at the show.
I'm how to sing to sing a lot multiple nights,
how to use that rise, And that's what I'm saying.
I told her that from the beginning, And you guys said,
I was so rude, and now she doesn't. You guys,
(24:16):
it's a big deal. I told her telling her for
a different reason. You were like, you can't sing. Yeah,
she has to get rid of the nasal, and they'll
help her do that. So you think if she gets
rid of the nasal, she could be a good singer.
She might be able to, but the nasal like it
like positivity. I told you're saying having a record deal.
We just heard it. Well that's what I've been saying
the whole time is she has to get rid of
(24:36):
the nasal if she even wants to be considered a singer.
What does the voice coach say to you? Have you been?
M Yeah, I've been twice, So what have you learned?
So she has me warm up a lot, and she
does say I sing through my throat and my nose.
So it's kind of unlearning old habits. So what do
you do? She kind of I sang the house that
built me and she kind of goes through because I
(24:57):
don't open my mouth very much or a nunciate, so
I just kind of follow her basically, okay, or at
the very beginning stages like what give me a little
bit of that I thought, if I could touch this
place so feeling it, this brokenness, since some mud start healing,
that's good. It's already better. Yeah I think, yeah, I
(25:19):
think already better. Come on, Wow, thinks are going to
pay off. She just has me be more confident in
like sing out more instead of being like yeah, so
do you want to say thank you to me? Or
what are you gonna? I mean, I've been telling you
need a voice coach for credit for her trying to
be you were mean and so you need a voice coach.
But was it true? But it was for a different reason. Okay,
(25:40):
did you go to a voice coach? Did you take
my advice? Did you do it because the lunchbox? No? Okay,
so that's the first thing you're welcome, is that you
went to a You're going to a voice coach with
what goal? I just feel more confident singing and be
able to sing out more, like as a goal to
be a singer. I don't know. Maybe you think you
leave the show to prossessing your career. If I feel
good up at this point, I don't feel like I'm
(26:01):
at that level you have to be at. She'll never
be at that level unless you want to be homeless, lunchbox. Yeah,
if she leaves this job to go be a singer, Amy,
she can't make enough money being a singer. I think
people do it all the time in Nashville. Okay, they're
doing They have six roommates and they live, you know,
under a bridge. So what with six roommates? Yeah? Why,
(26:22):
I don't know if Amy, do you really think? I
think that she should keep jobs and pursue it. She
doesn't have to quit everything, which is what like a
little bit where it's like I think she could possibly
have and you're like wow, like it is he softening up?
Well do it if you want to be homeless, and
then don't drag any of us into what you're saying.
She could never just leave this job and pursue seeing
(26:43):
she would not make enough money eventually she's saying she might.
The next thing is Abby, is that you've she's already
taken a singing job already she got yes, so go
ahead tell them what's up? Yeah, So you guys remember
those Carollers that were at the Christmas party last year
when you just butted your way into their group. Yeah,
I was asked to ye asked her to go up
and sing with him. Yeah, in my house, go ahead,
(27:03):
and maybe at your house. But at the company Christmas party,
she just went up and said, and she was the
only one not in costume. It was like, can I
sing with you? Guys? Know they love He came out
and asked me. You didn't see him go ahead anyway.
So they asked me to be part of the quartet
to sing around Nashville. So do you get your own
little Christmas outfit? Yeah, like a door the outfit. I
(27:25):
mean that's going to be a high paying gig. They
do pay, Yeah, they do pay any not high they
have to. Like it's four people, Well, there's multiple groups
because they're in high demand. It's like it's really good.
Oh so you're on the low group. It's like it's
like if you're gonna go to you know, the CEO
or a fortune five hundred company, they're gonna send the
(27:46):
best group, and then they're gonna send Abby's group to
the Sonic to the s and sing to the servers. Like, yeah,
I wouldn't mind that. So you excited? I am? Yeah?
How much do you make a shout? You know? So
it's per hour, it's sixty The first hour and then
thirty after that. That's big money. So you're talking about
(28:09):
two hours forty five bucks an hour, and you're doing
what you love like it's fun. Yeah, the costume, and
you might meet like guys. Yeah, no, guy's gonna hit
on you in that outfit? Maybe when do you start?
So the next rehearsal is Monday, and then the events
start happening. Abby, here's the thing. Let him know if
(28:30):
if you were the full outfit, you guys come up
here and perform. Yeah, yeah, I'm in Okay, let him know. Okay,
I'll tell them. Yeah. And so the group that you'll
be singing with, we want you. Don't bring the A team,
bring the people you're actually gonna be singing with. We'd
love to Abbit. I'll tell them I got another question.
We're proud of you, Abby. Good job, Abby. Don't let
the anchor over here sink y'all all the way to
the bottom. No, No, the truth teller. Whatever happened to
(28:53):
that band she was in there, she can play at
the airport. She just get kicked out. I mean they
just go right, just one person. Wasn't it kind of
a band? It was him and then a band also,
But the airport's probably not going to work out because
they already they had to get badges and everything, so
I was not included in the badge getting. Um. But
they're gonna play at other places around like puckets, and
don't let them bring you down. You know, I'm not yet.
(29:14):
He never pursues anything. Hi, Why don't have to answers?
I don't even to answer no, no, But you bring
up all all the all these gigs all I'm in
this band that's gonna play at the airport. Never happened
because she thought because they know, because that band thought
that we're gonna say their name on the air, and
we never did. So they cut her. I'm just what
acting things have you heard of? You know, like I
cut his lines. I wasn't gonna say, Abby, we're proud
(29:39):
of you, thank you, and then let the group know
if they want to come in and fully addressed all
you guys, you could do a song or two. Okay, okay,
there she is. Let's hey, let's clap for Abby. Do it?
Always say phone screenerpecial people know we'res but she does
so much behind the scenes as well. That is Abby.
It's the best bits of the Week with Morgan. Number two, Boy,
was this a controversial one. Eddie secretly recorded Lunchbox while
(30:03):
he was on a customer service call. And it's controversial
because of the things that Lunchbox said while he was
on this call. And it's controversial because Eddie secretly recorded
him and some people did not like that. People are
not enjoying the secretly recorded things that are happening. But listen,
this is like a family around here, a bunch of friends.
And if you are giving your brothers and sisters a
(30:25):
hard time, that's what we do on the show. And
our secretly recording is just us doing that. It's like
sibling rivalry or siblings having fun with each other. So
just look at it from that perspective, because this is hilarious.
And some of y'all might even agree with what Lunchbox
did and how we approached it. I don't know, see
for yourself. Number four. We love recording people secretly, don't we. Yeah. Yeah,
(30:50):
So every once a while, I get a little birdie
that flies in goes got a little something, and that
birdie is Eddie. Guys, we got another one, an one
go ahead. Look when someone's talking trash or doing something
that I think is worthy to bring the show. And
they're in front of a microphone. You know what I'm
gonna do. I'm gonna go to Scooba and say, hey,
hit record on this. We're gonna use this later. Okay,
(31:11):
So what happened lunch Box. He's on the phone with
I think customer Service. He's sitting at his desk. Why
did you grind? Because I did call customer service and
he is talking so rude to them, like rude to
them that I tell Scuba we got a role on this.
You know, if you're sitting by a microphone, Lunchbox, someone's
gonna I wasn't even thinking, man, I was on the phone.
(31:34):
I was in my chair there. You know, what were
you complaining about? Because my cable hadn't worked for two
weeks and every time I call, they say, oh yeah, yeah,
we'll run some you know, we'll run technical support here
and we'll try to diagnose the problem and we'll get
that fixed. And we did that three times. They mailed
me three new cable boxes, none of it worked. And
then I call again and she's like, oh yeah, you know,
(31:55):
we'll just what'll trouble shoot from here? No, no, no, no no, no, no,
no more troubles shooting from there, I need someone at
my house. No more. And then no no, no, no more.
In then that's from And then she says, what's gonna
be a ninety nine dollars fee for them to come? No,
no, no no, that's not ninety nine dollars fee because you're
stuff doesn't work. No, so I'm getting heated right now.
(32:16):
Not her fault though, right, yes, her fault. Okay, so
here's a club. I haven't heard it yet. Eddie claims
he recorded this from Lunchbox on with customer service. Go ahead.
No no, no, no no, no, no, no excuse me, no no,
that's not how it's gonna go. No, no, no no no.
I'm not paying ninety nine dollars for you to come
out and fix your equipment that's not working. No no, no no,
(32:36):
you can put on you whatever you need to write
on the account you write. No, I'm not paying ninety
nine dollars. My cable hasn't worked for two weeks. Do
you understand? I am Lunchbox from the Bobby Bone. I
will go on Twitter, Instagram, my social media and I
can bash your company if that's what I need to do.
(32:56):
But I'm not gonna pay ninety nine dollars for you
guys to come figure the broken thing. We're not gonna
run oh technical support from there. I've done technical support
from you guys three different times, and every time, oh,
it's gonna be fixed, it's never fixed. So now I
need a human, a human to come to my house
and fix it. No more of this trying to diagnostic
(33:18):
whatever crap through the phone. Yes, yes, then give me
a supervisor and let's figure it out. You can have
a supervisor call me. That's fine, but I am not
paying ninety nine dollars. I listen being that I am
Lunchbox from the Bobby Bone Show. I have a huge
social media following, and I am not afraid to use
my social media to get on there and get what
(33:39):
I need. So let's make an appointment for someone to
come to my house. Yes, fine, I will wait for
your supervisor to call me back. I got a couple things.
One is that real? That's legit' that's not that's real,
that's real? Why would you say? Because this lady wants
to run diagnostics for the fourth time. They've sent me
(34:02):
three new cable boxes, and she wants to charge me
that LR was that real NR? Oh it's crazy, dude,
and your name came I can't you can't use you
can't use my name. Your name was totally brought up.
You can't use my name. I'm a celebrity. I'll tweet
(34:22):
it out O that, but that's how you do It's
hilarious and crune worthy. But you can't use my I
don't care if I say your lunchbox don't give a
crap like your lunchbox losers podcast that. I don't care.
I don't use my name because you're all. But if
you go, if you go on social media and you
tweet things out, guess what you get a response like that? Okay,
did you no? Because a supervisor called me back and
(34:44):
guess what. Someone's coming to my house and there is
no ninety nine dollars feet thank you. That's what you
have to do. You have to get a little oh
got a little raise your voice a little bit and
get into them. And that's how you do it. I mean,
let's not send that message though, right, But that's how
you treat customer service to get what you want. I
just you can't use my name when you're yelling at
people no, no. That whole clip made me uncomfortable, in
(35:04):
addition to the fact that I don't know he has
some flint situation happening, like he's trying to yell, but
it's all like yeah, and he does a lot of
like repeating partial words when he's flustered. No, no, no no, no, no,
And we all have our own things, but that one
it intensified because he was intensifying. Yeah, you can't eat,
(35:26):
I'll talk to people that way, lunch pot No, no,
they don't. What about the way she was talking to
me that I don't know what you're saying. But what
about the oh, you know, we're gonna run diagnostics from here? No, no,
we've done that enough. Like that's her talking down. I
don't you know what. I don't care about any of that.
You just can't say my name whenever you're just you can't.
I don't like that, but also I love it. I
(35:46):
don't know what to feel. I'm so torn. I knew
you'd like the best audio we've ever had, and I'm
frustrated right now. I'm frustrated right now, me too, me too.
But I'm on and I still and I have someone
coming to my house and I'm still frustrated the fact
that they were going to try to charge me now
and yelled I'm a celebrity and I will tweet out
and bash you for our listeners that think this is
just a bit when you heard it right there and
(36:06):
then I was even like, what was that real? It work?
You're dead series too? Did you tell Sally to wash
her back? No? I didn't wash your bag, Sally. Well,
I hope it gets fixed, like just Hollie, like, you
guys are getting me fired up again. Don't use my name,
Neil got it, got it, But I can use my
(36:26):
Twitter on Instagram and let me tell you, you'll get
a response like that. I've done doing it, I know,
because I got what I needed Airline. I've done it before. Okay, well,
I'm gonna play this song. I'm a celebrity. I'll tweet
it out. It's the best Bits of the Week with Morgan.
(36:47):
Number two. Everyone loves when Keith Urban comes on our show,
including us, because he's such a fun guy to hear
stories from, and he always just brings up some cool things,
like he shared that he saw Harry Styles in the
nineteen seventy five and talked about going to the nineteen
seventy five concert in Nashville by himself and people on TikTok.
(37:10):
We're loving it because it was like Keith Urban, he's
just like us. Stars are just like us. I know,
they're real humans. It's crazy to even think that, but
Keith Urban is one of the best, and he's super
nice and just always has great things to share. So
check out this full interview number three on the Bobby
Bones Show. Now, everybody say good morning to Keith Morning.
(37:33):
I was comment being back in class. It's so funny
commenting about you because we were both backstage at the
CMAS and everybody was just trying to get a second
with you. You're, you know, the bell of the ball
when you do something like this, and rightfully so former
entertainer with you, I think I have thirteen or fourteen cmas,
so you're there and I don't want to bother you,
although I do love you personally and feel like if
(37:54):
we were at a restaurant, I would stop and talk
and sit and talk like I feel like we're we
have that relationship totally. But I want to as a
professional into my house many times, absolutely, but it's a
professional thing. I'm like Hey, hey, kee's good to see it,
and you had the wherewithal to go, Hey, I'm coming
up to do your show, And I'm like, how the
world did you remember that in the middle of all
of these like way more important people. Do you prioritize
(38:15):
being a kind person or is that just like intrinsically
inside of you. I think it's more about being in
the moment. But I mean, you were It wasn't even
like you saw me and I thought you were like,
I'm gonna come to your show. I was like, how
are you thinking about that right now? Whenever you have
all of this going on? Are you that in love
with me? Be honest, I can accept that I am.
(38:37):
I was just I was looking for you everywhere. I
was really speaking to how like I actually have a
countdown wall, a clock on my wall, but when I
was coming in here this morning, it's been out there
for weeks, so I was just ready this counting down. Well,
I was coming into the guys like, it's just how like,
thank you for sending me the clock. By the way,
it's my face and it counts down to me. But
(38:57):
I do You're like the best, You're the best. I
don't know how you do it, but you're consistently generous
and kind with your emotions and just an understanding of
where you are. So I'm like asking a question, but
I just want to recognize that genuinely grateful for where
I am and what I get to do, genuinely which
has come from contrasts of the complete opposite of that.
(39:21):
You know, were you weren't grateful where I wasn't in
a healthy place in my life. And I've been playing
music since I was, you know, seven years old on
stages and playing in clubs since I was twelve thirteen.
It's all I've ever done. And at some point, you know,
especially come to Nashville early on, and just like hitting
(39:41):
brick wall after brick wall, it was really really tough.
And that was years and years of just constant rejection
and just dark, a dark place in my life. So
coming through that and getting to where I am today
is why I'm so grateful for it. Was there a
person and wasn't hole that has been you know who's
(40:04):
I don't know, motivated and inspired you Like I've been
your main advisor on hey positivity, like search that out.
She's very good with that. Yeah, she's very good at
trying to just keep be a bit more part. I mean,
we can both fall into that and the negativity trap,
but she's very good at moving past it. If I'm
(40:26):
not feeling creative, or if I'm tired and I really
have to have a show coming up and I got
to think of some stuff I take. I take a shower,
like that's my place to go, or I can really think,
do you have do you have a place like that,
or do you have even a place that you go
that is like a vacation spot where it's like I
just need to recharge and I'm tired, I'm creatively exhausted.
Where do you go? What do you do? The beach?
Does that? For me? Doesn't matter which one? Nope. I
(40:48):
just love being in the salt order. It's it's unbelievably healing.
Do you swim in the ocean? Yeah? Yeah, And I
don't care if it's freezing cold or hot, it doesn't matter.
You'll get in the cold ocean. I assume now. I
never had an affinity for the beach, but I grew
up in a landlocked state in Arkansas. I never had it.
We never want a vacation, so I didn't know the
beach at all until I get older. But you growing
(41:08):
up where there was a lot of water, do you
think that's what it is? Doesn't remind you of a
happier time when you were a child? Maybe probably? I
mean it's just cathotic for me being in being in
the ocean anywhere. I don't know. I guess there's just
all those stinging things in the salt. It's just so
foreign to me. Do you ever wonder what's way down there?
Because we look up for aliens, right we can't get
(41:29):
to the bottom of the ocean. See, you've been watching
an ancient aliens have It's just they live under the water.
We literally have no idea what's under there. We can
go up further than we can go down. I know
it's crazy, right, but it's a whole show onto itself.
Right now, I could do it right, You and I
could do the show about Yeah, me too. I'm fascinated
by me thinking about this because I'm probably wrong. You
(41:51):
have a room full of aliens right here. You could
ask them where they where do you guys who live
under water? Is that alien language? Ye? Hey, what's the difference?
Because I know you're doing another residency at the Zappo
stat or plane in Hollywood. Yeah, what's the difference in
a show like that and a show if you're touring
around the country. You can build stuff that you don't
(42:11):
have to worry about packing up. That's cool. I'm putting
in a truck every night because it stays. Yeah, Because
sometimes I come up with ideas for our shows and
they're like, we can't put that in the venue. I'm like,
I won't fit in a truck, blah blah blah. So
you don't worry about that. Do you have to do
a lot of pre creative for these shows because you're
talking about building and putting things out there? Is it
a different kind of creative? Yeah? And always coming up
(42:33):
with something different as challenging because you've seen it all
and and I'm always trying to think of some other thing,
just some other thing that I haven't seen. That's tough
to think of things you haven't seen. Yeah, you ever
think of a thing that gets that They're like, no,
you can't. You just can't do that, Like you cannot
do the huge inflatable butt crack that was one of
(42:55):
these you can't walk in and out of it during
the I mean, do you ever have an idea with Keith.
We can't do that. Why would that be the first?
I don't know. I don't wondering volume. I know it does.
The residency, Why you win? Keith and the Inflatable buck
Crack starts Friday, March third, twenty twenty three. There is
no buck Crack uh sixteen dates. I will say this
(43:16):
about the show. It is more intimate in this theater
because you're right on top of you. Yeah, and that
does sound that sounds good too. Yeah if you've just
joined us, Yeah, but you're much closer to the audience. Yeah.
You know, like I said, I grew up playing the clubs.
Every gig to me is a club. Whether there's five
people with fifty thousand, it's a club, and I play
I play it like it's a club. Tickets on sale
(43:37):
ticketmaster dot com, slash Keith Urban Vegas. All of our
Vegas listeners or people traveling to Vegas go to this show.
It is excellent goo see Keith that he's touring. But
these shows specifically are really good because again, you're you're
super close to Keith. It's very personal. We're gonna come
back in one second. I do want to play your
new song though the Street Call Me than you can
if we play it please? What if you said no, yeah, yeah, hey,
(43:58):
tell me about tell me about Street Called Me? And
why why did you record this one? I realized when
when we get sent songs, and obviously I'll write a
lot of songs, but when I hear a song, I
realize the other day, I'm hearing it the same way
that your listeners here for the first time. It's the
same thing. I didn't write it. I hit play the song,
it hits me and I go, oh my god, I
(44:19):
love this song. I love the melody, the lyric, the centiment,
everything about it. And that was what street Cool name
was that from me? You ever thought about doing a
concept album of a completely different genre? Someone said, I've
done that, but but for example, death metal, hip hop,
pole something that's so far removed from your influences, which
I say you've successfully bright influences in a country music
(44:41):
that other people now using as normal. I think that's
a huge Hopefully that's a compliment to you. You ever
thought about doing a crazy concept album because you're inspired
by not really an I'm always curious about what you
said though, taking a genre and seeing if there's a
way I confuse that into what I do, because I mean,
it's still got to it's still gotta resonate with with
(45:03):
with the through line of flow that feels right as
otherwise it's just gratuitous and it doesn't work. You know.
I was talking to Brian a couple of times. Breland
and are pretty good buddies. Now, yeah, and he says,
really smart is that guy? I had to sit up
straight and tall when I talk to him because I
gotta be ready. Yeah, he's super sharp and he's not
pressing me or but just talking to him, he is
so bright. Yeah, that's It feels like he's challenging you,
(45:26):
but he's being normal when you write, when you reach
out to him. Why would you reach out to Breland
for the first time to go, hey man, I'd like
to write with you, Like, what did you hear about him?
What did you hear from I read an interview with him,
and the way he spoke in the interview, the way
he saw music and putting things together and fusing and
so forth. I went, that's that's a guy that speaks
my language. When a new artist comes in to write
(45:47):
with you, do you have the understanding that they're probably
pretty nervous to write with you because of your success.
I don't think about that. I'm always like, guess, I
hope I show up today, you know what I mean,
and still putting it on you after all these years,
and you you you mean, because writings it's so mysterious.
You know you have it with the show, right, You
show up and you get like you're just firing on
all cylinders and things are like just flowing, and then
(46:08):
another day you just can barely get things going. And
when you're writing with anybody, you want to have a
day where the flow shows up. What about a live
show where that's happening, because again, like you said, if
you do things at a high level enough times, sometimes
you're not going to be at that level just natural
human What if you're having a down day and you've
got to do a show because I know it's so
(46:28):
important to you to give the audience what they came
to see. How are you propelling yourself to that spot
to give them the best show even if you're not
feeling it. I think there's going to be just an
in the moment thing where whatever it takes. And I
think I always think First of all, it's awareness that
I'm not firing on all cylinders right now. And then okay,
why night. I'll tell you what stays with me. When
(46:52):
I was in my cover band, we played a show
and it wasn't It was a small gig, a few
hundred people at this bar that we've came off stage,
and I said to my drama man that audience was
just crap? Were they just the craps? The audience? And
he looked right at me, goes you ever think it
might have been you? And then he just walked off
and I was like, wait, what what? Me? What? And
(47:13):
I was like, damn, he's He was right, it was me,
It wasn't them. And I can't tell you how much
that stays with me when I want to go to
that place in a gig. Whenever you're playing a show
and if you're you know, you're talking about the crowd
or it could be you. When do you get to
enjoy a show? Whence the last time you went to
(47:33):
a show and got to actually enjoy it being someone
who's watching. Oh gosh, we haven't saw Harry Styles in Paris.
We were over there at the time in Paris, Yeah,
which was amazing to see him there. I think the
last one that really like hit me was the nineteen
seventy five, who played here at the ascend Amphitheater maybe
a year or two ago. What about that? Because we
listened to them too, What about nineteen seventy iould be
(47:55):
like the spirit of that band. They got a spirit
and it's in their audience too, and just going just
sort of immersing it. It's the first time we had
people come to our show. And I bet you have
this too. People come to your show repeatedly, again and again,
and you're like, why do you keep coming back to this?
A lot of the times it's the same show, and
you're like, you're here again and again. Why? And they go,
(48:16):
I just want that feeling. I come to get that feeling.
And I've never understood that until I went and saw
the ninety seventy five at as Sand and I was
driving home. I went and saw them on my own.
Nick was out of town. I'm driving home and my
first thought was, Oh, I think you're playing Atlanta tomorrow night.
I could probably drive And I went, Oh, my god,
there it is. I'm thinking of driving to Atlanta to
see this band. Why Because I wanted that feeling. I
(48:38):
want a compliment. And also you went to a show
by yourself? Yeah, no way, Yeah, you drove yourself? Yeah
where do you park? I actually there, I parked in
a little spot not too far from Kaya. Get it.
You get a good spy and you walk because the
concert its started, so I just sat. There was no
people wearing around. You don't want by yourself ever? Eat
(49:00):
by yourself? Yeah all the time? No way, You're not.
That can't be true all the time. And you just
go in and be like, hell, I'll like to have
a table for one. Yeah. The last three days in
a row, I've gone out and had lunch on my own.
Are you lonely? No? You know what? You just text
me buddy, if you're having from a cup day, be like, hey,
I'm Sometimes it's like it's that moment that I really love,
just a bit of quiet, bit of you know, it's good.
(49:22):
When do you hear a song? When can you I'm
gonna put you on the spot here. Last time you
heard a song where you were like, man like that
emotionally touches me, like the message or the lyric or
the vocal or sonically that touches me, what's done it
for you lately? Gee? I can't think of one right now?
Do you pursue different? Glimpse of us Jogi is so
beautifully written. It's a beauty by Jogi. Yeah, jo j
(49:46):
ih jo jo jo a joji berry like a goji
jogi Jogi. Ok text of us it's a gorgeous song. Okay,
break your heart. There's the answer. Anytime I ask Keith
about music that I'm like, hey, what about this, it's
always like you ever heard of experimental track seven nineteen
and I'm like, I never, And then then he'll text
me to be like, checked this out, and then I'll
listen to it, and then like three months later I'll
(50:07):
be like, hey, remember expecting I've seen him seven times now, Kith,
thank you very much for sharing that. Eric. Eric Church
changed me things like that all the time, Obscure things.
He sent me as somebody that did a cover of
Sounds of Silence the other day, like Simon, Yeah, but
it was this uh Scottish guy. I think it's just
crazy cover. Do you ever hear a cover of your song?
(50:29):
And you go, man, they crushed that because it's a
little different and they've interpreted a different way. Um, I
haven't heard one recorded. No, I'd like to. I'd like to.
I got one here, Ray play play this. This is
somebody like you but in Spanish polka. Go ahead, Ray Now,
I'm just kidding. It's not ready for that. Okay, look everybody,
(50:53):
I want you to go watch Keith's He'll be in Vegas.
I'm gonna learn that song in Spanish. Zappos, Planet, Hollywood
Resort and Casino Friday in March third for sixteen dates
ticketmaster dot COM's not consecutively, by the way. Yeah, but
that'd be a long Yeah. What's the longest you've ever
been out in a row? Back when you were going going?
Would you ever do? Have you ever done sixteen in
(51:14):
a row? Not in a row, but I mean most
shows in a year. You think you've done three hundred? Yeah? Yeah,
I bet, really, I bet coming up. Yeah, because if
you throw in radio visits and all of that. Hate
those don't we hate those? Don't we radio people? You know,
when you're a new artist and you got to come
and do the conference room auditions of despair as I
used to call them. Yeah, those ones here otherwise known
(51:35):
as free pizza. Yeah, you hate it. Here, we get it,
we get it there he is. Hey. One final question.
I saw the coffee though, that's good. Oh is that
our coffee? Yeah, you're welcome. A little something we brought in,
thank you. Yeah called It's called New Zealand Delight. A
winner is coffee whatever it is. I saw a video
on TikTok at somebody filming you coming out of a
gas station. Do you see that one? No? Me? Yeah,
you were buying snacks randomly by yourself at a gas station. Yeah.
(51:56):
I told you, ILL got it to lunch. When you
do that. Does the cashier ever go hey, Keith Urban? Yeah?
Sometimes Yeah. The funniest one it's I does anybody ever
tell you look like Keithurban? I go all the time,
and they go, it's crazy, you really do. And then
that's the end of the conversation and then you just
let it be. Yeah, they go uncanny. Sometimes people will go,
(52:19):
I know you from somewhere, right, But then what you
say because they're like you just so familiar to me.
And if I go, oh by Bono American idol, yeah,
mm or this one and you must get this? Are
you who I think you are? Who am I? I
don't know? What, I'm barely who I think I am.
So what do you say to that? If it's like
I know you from If someone comes up you goes,
I know you from somewhere, What do you say? Probably
(52:40):
I get that old because you look familiar. Yeah, I
get that a lot. Yeah. Are you the bass player
for Casey Musgrave? Yes, yes, yes, Keith Urbanum love him.
Go watch them. Best live performer there is and that's
all Keith Urban the Las Vegas Residency. March, June and July.
There are sixteen shows at Zappa stater a Planet Hollywood
(53:01):
Resort in Casino. Keiths, good to see you. One of
those nice wile the Spanish version of Somebody Like You
Spanish la Polka. Yeah, yeah, I'm gonna do it. You're not.
But I love I love you, know, I like a challenge.
Could you speak other languages? No? Oh Australian? Yeah, all right,
there is? Everybody say bye, Keith, go to it. Thank
you too. It's the best bits of the week with
(53:25):
Morgan number two. And speaking of Keith Urban, this was
another big one on the show this week. Lunchbox was
caught washing his hands in the same scene at the
same time as Keith Urban when he was here visiting
our show. Yeah weird. I know, even saying it out
loud feels very strange, but it's what happened. Eddie caught
them and that was another broadly thing that happened between
(53:48):
Lunchbox and Eddie this week, and Lunchbox admitted that he
wanted to do it because he wanted to tell people
he got to wash his hands in the same scenk
with Keith Urban. You know, in all fairness, I get it.
I would never do it, but I get it. Number two,
Keith Urban was here yesterday. We love seeing Keith Urban,
great guy, fun guest. I didn't realize what happened though
(54:10):
behind the scenes. So Eddie, what did you see that
was so weird? It was strange. Man. I walk in
the bathroom and Lunchbox is sharing a sink with Keith Urban.
Now you know, our sink is a one person small
since tiny. Wait, you'll only have one scene, yes, camping
sink and they're both washing their hands together, and it's
more like Keith was washing his hands and Lunchbox was
excuse mc keith, and he's trying to get in there,
(54:31):
and I think is so small that if you're washing
your hands. I wait till you're out of the way, correct,
or go to the kitchen to wash your hands. Two
people do not fit there. Okay, that's yeah, that's weird.
So what happened? Nothing? I just I wrote it down.
I'm like, I need to bring this up to the
show and get the real story. Did you track Keith
Urban into the bathroom? No, we just happened to be
in the sit in the bathroom at the same time.
I mean, you go first, or to hea. He was first,
(54:53):
so you followed him into the bathroom? No, no no, no, no,
no no. I didn't know he was in the You
can't do that. You can't follow guests in the b bathroom.
I didn't. I believe that he didn't know. I didn't
know Keith Urban was in the bathroom. I had to
go to the bathroom, and I went and Keith Urban
was in the bathroom, so I didn't follow him in there.
He was done doing his business. I was done doing
my business. There was a sink, so I washed my hands.
(55:15):
You guys always yell at me for not washing my hands,
but you never wash your hands. This is a great point.
Glad you said this. You know, never wash your hands
when you lead the bathroom. Out of a hundred, if
you're in there by yourself, how many times out of
the hundred times do you wash your hands? Three? Okay,
so a three percent chance you're gonna wash your hands. Yeah,
Keith Urban's washing his hands, which is great to hear. Yeah,
he was washing his hands. He was there for a while.
(55:36):
Why did you decide to wash your hands right then?
Because I saw Keith Urban and he we were talking,
and so I figured if I just walked out, it'd
be weird if I just into the conversation and he
saw me not wash my hands. So I just continued
the conversation as I washed my hands. And yes, Keith
Irban's hands were in the sink at the same time
mine were. You couldn't sit back and let him finish. Then,
(55:57):
you know he was he was he was taking a
long time, like he was washing for a long time.
Like were y'all both under the water at the yah. Yeah,
we were shoulder to shoulder. I came up on his
left side, like his left shoulder, and so my right
shoulder was touching his right his left shoulder, and I
stuck my hands in there, said, excuse me, man, I
need to get in there too, And I got some
(56:18):
soap and I started rubbing, and so some of my
soap and water was running onto Keith Urban's hands in
the sink, and then vice versa, his soap was going
onto my hand. Why did you do all that? Honestly?
Is it for the story? No? Literally, I was just
never wash your hands. We were literally talking. Me and
Keith were having a conversation about what, oh, just how
(56:39):
are things going? You know, nothing important? But I felt
like if I left mid conversation, he'd be like, but
wasn't he ahead of you? He was? So why would
you leave? Why not let him leave? Because he was
taking forever? I mean, I knew it, but you don't
wash your hands. I do, but you don't write man,
So I'm saying if I so, I just stand there
and talk to him, like, what's your theory, Eddie? I
think he wanted to touch Keith his hands won and
(57:01):
wash it with it and then tell the whole world
about it. Also, how many other people can say they
shared a sink with Keith? There we go? Do it?
There we go? You know? Not many? Exactly. I have
something that a lot of people in this world wish
they could have, which is shared a sceat with Keith Urban.
(57:21):
I could put that on my bio, on my I'm
on my resume. You put cool facts whenever you do
a resume and be like you're using a resume for something.
I've never made one. Yeah, but you think about I
can go to the career center at UTSA and they
have they will help your career services. They'll help you
put a resume together. Never went, never put a resume together.
But if I ever need one, cool facts about me
(57:42):
share a seat with Keith Urban, Hey, scoop of Steve.
Is it weird to you the lunchbox went and got
into Keith Urban's personal space in the bathroom just so
he could touch him. But no, it wasn't to touch him.
We weren't touching hands, you said, dell soap dripped one
shoulders shoulder, But the soap did drip off my hands
onto his and some of his son say. One thing
is nice that he use so because I've never seen
(58:02):
you so my entire life. But it happens to Ray
and I a lot. Will we'll go to the bathroom
washing hands, but Ray will go ahead. I'm gonna go
to the kitchen sink. I'll be right back and I'm
washing my hands. Never be okay, but here's a very
well you did it on purpose. So we had this
conversation right now on air. No, no no, no, I just
don't know their I told you, Yes, I said that
I did it also so I could say that I
(58:24):
shared a sink with Keith Urban. But the fact that
Ray goes to the kitchen sink is disgusting. You know
why because Scuba washes his hands right, and then he
goes and he pulls that handle that Ray just touched
with his dirty hands. So you negated. You're washing anyway,
so I use a hypert. Scuba doesn't because he was
trying to throw me. Asked him a question you're collecting? Also,
(58:46):
what it feel like every celebrity that came in here?
Or sup? Sorry? How many people you can wash your
hands with him? Okay? Yeah? Like a male only, right
man only? Dope double Because in the ladies room watching
the Lands, it's the best bits of the week with
Morgan number two and coming in at this number one spot,
(59:10):
I said that six number this week is going to
make more sense once you hear this. Well, I had
some relationship news to share and a lot of you
guys liked it, and a lot of you guys were
really kind to me that I had to share this
news and talk about some things that are going on
in my love life. Some of you were not, and
you know that's okay. Everybody's entitled to their own opinion.
(59:31):
But I love getting to share my life with you
guys and being open and vulnerable, and that's what this
segment was. It's just what's going on in my life
right now, and I had to talk with you guys
about it. So here you go. Number one, you're gonna
message from Morgan saying that we can now talk about
her love life again because apparently Morgan is now single again.
I am hang in, oh man, lunchbox. What do you know?
(59:54):
Can you update our audience on Morgan's love life from
what you know? Well, I just I wonder because he
doesn't always to listen to what's happening and our audience
maybe in and out on segments, so I wonder what
your interpretation is. Well, the last I heard is that
she was dating this dude for a long time and
she would try to keep him real private, and then
they were talking about moving in together, and then the
(01:00:16):
next week they broke up and then they got back together,
and it's pretty accurate. Yeah, he plays attention right. Well,
I mean, and so I thought, you know, I thought
we were still on track to move in together. So Morgan,
you are now, Oh my gosh, you're now broken up? Yes,
I'm single. What do you want to say? Um? How
(01:00:36):
long have you been single? About two and a half
weeks now? Whoa, it's still new, really new, very new.
But there's is the wound still fresh? It's not fresh.
There's just a lot of anger. There's not sadness anymore.
Why did you get back together? Um? Because I believe
(01:00:57):
that people deserve a second chance if they're willing to
put in the effort. And he was from what I
could tell and what he was showing, and then you know,
he didn't show that and then I found out things
and now it's over. So so now you are back
on the prowl. I am back out. I'm yeah, I'm
moved moving forward. I'm done. Like that relationship is over.
There's no going back. Are you now again? A date?
(01:01:19):
Angrily Like, I'm gonna just go date because I just
need to date and could show him or do you
feel like you're in a good place, meaning if you're
dating angrily, I don't want to be one of the
first few guys you're dating because they don't really have
a shot. No, I'm not dating angrily. I am. I
am dating again because there's a lot of things here.
I already grieved when we broke up the first time.
(01:01:41):
I don't really have a lot of grieving to do
this time. There's just more like anger that somebody disrespected
me again. Did you feel like it would work out
when you got back to it at the first time,
or did you feel like you owed it to yourself
to show that you tried your hardest even though you
thought it wouldn't work out. I think it was both.
There was like part of me that truly believed it
(01:02:01):
could work again, But then there was part of me
that didn't want to regret not trying again since he
was willing to try again. How long were you guys
together all in all? In a year and a half. Okay, yeah,
so now here you are, lunchbox anything you want to say.
I mean, it's crazy you go from moving in together
to two and a half weeks single, Like I'm over it,
(01:02:24):
Like I'm I don't think you know at real time
though lunchbox. To be fair, she said two and a
half week. No, no no, no, no, But I'm saying all
this stuff she's telling us, Gonna be honest. Listen to
her voice. Sounds a little bit emotional. Hey, last time
it was emotional. This time I'm not crying. Do you
think she's not the emotional now? Yeah, trying to fight
(01:02:44):
through her right now. Well, it's tough to come on.
I'm not saying I'm not saying it's any but she
says that she's over it, and I'm like your vocal
cords to say something different. I don't think so. She
sounds strong, is he with what people's vocal chords are telling? Okay,
your sounds sarcastic? Okay, So you are you sure you
(01:03:04):
have moved on? Yeah, I've I've let it go. I'm
taking the steps forward and I don't have anything to
grow from. Like, I didn't mess up, I didn't do
anything wrong. I just loved somebody, and now I'm moving forward.
So I don't really have a lot of things to grieve.
A little break maybe though hearing this though, I mean
I think that still maybe a little like you, you you
(01:03:25):
go on a date, you'd start dating someone today. Yeah,
I went on a date. Oh okay, Oh, whoa, that's
anger dating. That's pretty, that's her. I can't I'm not hurt.
I don't feel Okay, Okay, I got a question. So
you go on that date and the date with whoever
you went on date with, I don't know who it is.
But do you tell them? Hey, you know what I mean.
I'm angered dating right now. Just so you know, you're
(01:03:47):
the first one in line. No, I don't, because I'm
also not I'm not rebound dating either. I'm not just
going to date somebody out of revenge. I'm just dating
to make myself continue to put myself out there because
I still want to find love. I'm not mad at love.
I'm mad at the person who broke my trust. Oh no, oh, no,
is a new guy that she's dating listening to this now,
(01:04:07):
and now he knows he's the No. I was honest.
I told him you broke up five minutes ago, and
now you're with him. What do you tell him? I
just told him that I had recently gotten out of
a relationship and I'm dating again. That's just kind of
where it's at Was it weird to go on to
date again? Oh? Yeah, it was so weird. I was
sitting there like, what am I doing? What's happening? Especially
it's the I used to be comfortable with someone, and
(01:04:29):
now I have to start getting vulnerable again. I have
to meet somebody new. Did you scrub your Instagram? Did
you go back and take all those like hidden photos out,
like where you show you holding his hand, his shoulder,
you take all those names? I never posted. I posted one.
I think that one story. Yeah? Yeah, aren't you glad
you didn't like focus him though? Yes, I'm really glad
(01:04:50):
that I didn't share that now because I don't have
to like deal with especially every time I post, somebody
be like, oh where's your boyfriend? What happened? Now? I
don't have to deal with that at all. I'm gonna
keep with that until I am engaged. I'm not posting
anybody folly on my post to be another six months.
Oh boy, Well, good luck Morgan. And you are actively
(01:05:12):
dating now, I am. You've been on the apps open.
I don't think I want my DM's open, but yes
I am on dating app. You've been on one date.
I've been on one date. Yeah, and how'd that go?
It went really good. He brought me a present, though,
I'm not sure how to feel about that. What was
the present? It was toys for my dog. Ray's laughing
(01:05:32):
out loud. You we never hear you make noise? Why
did you laugh? We heard you through the wall. Yeah,
we never heard that, right. Why. It was just funny
that he would bring toys on the first date. It's
not a good move. Really, it's a little differ. You
don't think so, no, I mean, he obviously know she's
from the show and he's trying to impress. Or he
could just look at Instagram and see her dog everywhere. Yeah,
well we taxed it a little bit before, and I
(01:05:54):
had talked about my dog and how she's really important
to me. Okay, red flag or yeah, he uh, definitely.
I guarantee you're never going on a date with that dude. Age. Well,
but now we're just talking about that. Though it came
on way too strong. You gotta act like you got
other options. He acted like he was all in lunchbox. Ah,
he's like he's ready to get married. Eddie a toy.
I think that's sweet, it's a great I think it
is it's for a dog, and if it's on the Instagram,
(01:06:15):
you know it's on whatever. It's thoughtful. Amy, Yeah, I
think it's okay. It's not like he brought her some
you know, a ring or a piece of jewelry or something.
It was a little thing for a dog. What do
you think about it? I couldn't. I couldn't decided, and
that's why I wanted to bring It's good, guys, that's good.
It's a dog toy. It's fine. If your dog is
all over Instagrams, he's for him to see and find.
No problem. I mean, what does he say right when
(01:06:36):
you sit, I brought you a present? Yeah, well that's
what I didn't open it right away. I was like,
this feels weird. Why did you bring me a present?
Like you never guess what it is? And he squeezes it, squeeze,
you'll never guess. Are you one out with him again? Yes,
we're gonna go on a second date? Wow? When I
mean I got Did he pick you up? Not on
the first day? No, I never let him pick me
(01:06:56):
up on the first date. It's times of different ledge
box because you know, people to know where you live
and yeah, you don't really want people come to your house. Initially,
Oh yeah, I wish i'd learned that lesson on the
bars man. Tell you what, take girls back to your
house and they know where you live. All right, we're
gonna play it different eight years ago. All right, Morgan,
(01:07:16):
good luck, we're rooting for you. Don't let the dog
toy thing at all cloud how you feel. I think
it's an excellent thing. Just a dog toy. Now if
it starts elevating each time you go on a date,
if it gives you a car date four, you have
a decision to make if you ask him as a
prerequisite or that's a client like can they are they
listener to the show? Do you ask that question right
(01:07:37):
out front? Oh? Well? I did have somebody match with
me and their first question was are you Morgan number two?
And I immediately unmatched. I was a good I'm not
gonna answer that question. If you have to ask me
that and you have to call me Morgan number two,
that's pretty awkward for me. Would you rather them just
not say anything about it? I'd rather them say something,
but like in the conversation, just naturally bring it up
and say, like, what up? Morgan number two? That feels weird.
(01:07:58):
Be cool about it. Don't be like, oh my god,
just be like, hey, yeah, I've heard the show some Yeah, yeah,
I definitely look familiar. But don't be like im. Even
if you are to be like I'm a super fan,
don't be honest. Yeah, it's the Best Bits of the
Week with Morgan number two. All right, y'all, that's it
(01:08:19):
for me this weekend. I hope you enjoyed the bits
and you got caught back up on the show or
you just heard some new segments that you didn't get
to here this week. I love getting to do this
with you guys and hang out not only this, but
also talk to the show members in Best Bits Part
one because we get to talk about life and fun things.
And this weekend Scooba, Steve and I talked about our
(01:08:40):
Thanksgiving plans. He shared some red flags he thinks I
should look for in guys, and we also answered random questions,
which you guys also love to hear, because random questions
are fun and I hope you're answering them with us
as we talk about them. But so good to hang
out with you, guys. I can't wait for next weekend.
I hope everyone has a fan Plastic Thanksgiving, holiday and
(01:09:02):
travel safe. Enjoy all the food, the family time, all
the things I love. Y'all, Bite the bobby bones, Share
Bobby bones.
