Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, the Bobby Bones post show pre show. All right,
here's a question that you guys asked yesterday on Voicemail
one studio. This question is actually from Morgan too. I'm
wondering how Renny is doing? Did you going back to work?
I have been homeworking for three months and my dog
has to come. How many will you attached to my hip?
(00:21):
And I'm concerned about what will happen when I do
have to go back into the office. So I was
wondering how Renny is doing. How's your dog? She's not
doing well? Gone now? Yeah, No, Whenever I leave for work,
she'll go and sit by the door and put her
tail between her legs and give me the puppy dog
eyes when I leave for work, and gets really sad,
and I hear whimper for about twenty minutes after I leave.
(00:42):
And then why do you hear for twenty minutes? Are
you listening for twenty minutes you don't even leave? No,
I have a camera in there, so I check on
her to see if she goes and kind of chills out,
and she doesn't for about twenty minutes and then she'll
finally sleep. So I've just been taking our on extra
walks and lots of extra treats. My issue with my
dog is I'll leave him out in the house now
we got to go to bed, just let him run free.
(01:05):
He uh poops on the floor every night. Oh no, no,
I'm flat. Yeah. I think he's on purpose, like he's
mad at you or something. I don't know. I don't know.
But because I let him out in the morning and
he goes bathroom right then, so I don't know. No, no, no,
we're dealing with it because he's not a bathroom house guy.
He's more of a gu outside guy. Yeah, he's poops outside.
(01:25):
But I think when he was limping, I think I
figured that out. I'm trying to track the mystery as
a splinter. Nope, I think it was. We have these
weird bees, big bees down on the ground. I think
one's stung him if I'm guessing. Oh, there are a
lot of bees like on flowers right now, I like
in the grassy, mean that are just kind of and
there's something like something in my house. But and maybe
all those plants and flowers that you took they were
(01:46):
over there. Again, I don't know they would cost that much.
Lows hooked it up because they built out in my
backyard for the backyard show we were doing, and I
was like, Eddie, can have all the flowers, and then
they start looking at the price tags on it was
one hundreds of dollars in flowers. Well here's the thing.
I didn't tell my wife that I was bringing all
those flowers home because I's gonna surprise her. And she's like,
what are we doing with all those I'm like, don't worry.
I'm doing a garden. So are you gonna do them
as the left? I'm planning a garden in the backyard
(02:08):
and I'm gonna do some in the front, but they're
kind of they're mismatched a little bit. There, aren't like,
you know, a bunch of one kind. So I'm gonna
do a couple in the front, but most of them
in the back. Now, time for flashback Friday. Here on
the Bobby Bone Show, nineteen ninety three, Flashback Friday on
this day the biggest country song in nineteen ninety three
with Sammy Kershaw. She don't know she beautiful? No, she's
(02:31):
beautiful dead, she don't know she's beautiful? She No, she's beautiful.
The time and time I do the biggest pop song
Ammy can you sing? Informer by Snow and Formay and
(02:57):
no idea what he says either lay the biggest news story.
Lorreina Bobbitt in Virginia cuts off part of our sleeping
husband's penis with a kitchen knife. She drives off with
the severed pins and throws it out the car window.
Please find it a surgeon reattaches it. Morgan Umber two
never heard of that story. Oh you don't know Lorena Bobbitt. No,
Eddie didn't heard like and I did a song? You
(03:19):
ever release it? The Yeah, yeah we did. I think
it's on one of our albums, right. I don't think
we ever released a song where it was like some
about the good old days? What's the rhyme something bobbit
and like the Randa Bobbit, there's something rhyme with bobbit.
We thought we were pretty cute with that rhyme. Then
we wondered, well, people even know this, but you didn't
know the Lorna Bobitt's story. Huh mad. Her husband cut
(03:40):
off the packer and drove down the road through it
out the window and they went and found in the
field and he's okay now Yeah, ain't that crazy? How
did it giggle him? His situation is? Okay, that's his name,
a nerf football on lobbit. That's it. There you go.
Because there was a song about nighties. Yeah how what
was the course of that song? I don't remember, dude,
I have to go back and listen to it. It
was like Jonathan Taylor Thomas. Yeah. Oh John Bobbitt they
(04:04):
still together? Yeah? Yeah? Are you kidding? Can you imagine?
Did she go to deal? I don't know. I don't
know if she she I don't know if she did
any hard time. Oh wow, you're so proud of that joke. Amy? What? Oh?
(04:26):
I'm just reading about them now because I don't know
that I ever is there like a surely there's a
Lifetime original movie about this or something, because I need
to That's what you need to watch, Morgan number two.
It'll tell you at all Morgan. Do you go to
a restaurant? Yeah? I did? It was really weird. What
was it? Um? So it's Barcelona and Nashville, just Tapas Barcelona. Oh,
(04:47):
Emma used to work there? Who Emma? Who used to
open from the wine place? Yeah? Oh okay, she worked there,
like a nice restaurant, wine place. Yeah, it's my favorite,
one of my favorite places in town. But it's so
weird now. Like it was really cool because everything was
social distance. You had every other table empty and all
the servers and everybody's wearing masks. But you no longer
like interact with the server. They come over and introduce themselves,
(05:08):
but they have a QR code on the table and
you take a picture and then you order everything yourself.
Like you don't do any more interaction with the server. Besides,
like if you flip over this card to say like
something's wrong. Other than that, you don't interact with them
at all. Then you like boogie to Peppo, you flip
your card over. You know, they keep bringing the food
by never been No, that's that's wrong. Restaurant. It was
a restaurant called the Steakhouse. But you flip your card
(05:30):
and they've dropped meat off what oh uh huh? Hold on?
You do what with it? You have a card? Oh? Yes,
oh I know. We went there, and is it the
same place where they they have all the meat shaved
red or green? Somebody just yelled something at me from
another room. I don't know why. Yes, we've done that
(05:51):
what's red or green card or the meat Brazilian Brazilian steakhouse.
It's it's a Brazilian steakhouse. Yet there you go like
Texas Day Brazil. Yes, that's it. There's a ton of them.
But you flipped a card over on red means draw
full and keep it coming. Do you remember Poncho's Mexican
Food where you raised the flag? You guys remember that? No,
(06:13):
but we had in Arkansas, we had cassa something and
you raise the El Chico. Oh, El Chico. That was big, dude, Chico,
reasonably big El Chico. Experts think people work less nowadays
because of video games and cell phones. Video game was
able to hook up to the internet. Are you still
(06:33):
playing later night? Yeah? Yeah. I bought the worst game
for Caitlin and I bought us a mini golf game.
I thought it was a real golf game, and neither
one of us played it when we got on together,
like all right, there's no advantage. Both super competitive. We
started playing this golf and it was mini golf. It
was eighteen bucks for that stupid game. Does anything happen
to me? I bought Monopoly. Yeah, it's so bad. Monopoly
is terrible. A board game, and it's even worse than
(06:55):
PS four. I like, Monopoly is a board game, it's
too long. Okay, that's true, but you do play interactively
with other people online, but it's not it's not good.
A guy in Pultavani, you got caught driving on a
suspended license for the ninth time. His license is now
suspended until twenty seventy six. Oh wow, is he gonna
make it now? There no way? But why would you
not just keep driving then? Unless they're gonna put you
(07:15):
in jail, He's gonna keep driving. I'm assuming though, you
get pulled over multiple times without a suspend, with a
suspended license, you go to jail, right, But at this
point he needs to be free, probably and maybe he
has a little time a little hard now. I just
think he needs to be obeying every wall. What is
he doing? Like how do you get pulled over nine times?
Like speed attention? No seatbelt? I pay attention, Like if
(07:39):
you're going to drive on a suspended license, like use
your blinker, do all the things. One final story, it
looks like you don't become immune to coronavirus. Really. A
new study shows that COVID nineteen antibodies fade so in
like a month to two months. So if you that's
how people are getting it twice. So if you have
it and you have the antibodies, they help you for
a bit, but they're now they're saying they fade off.
(08:01):
The research published in Nature Medicine suggest that proteins produced
by the immune system to protect against reinfection fade in
about a month or two months. So if you do
you don't. Wow, I didn't know that after a while.
So basically, if you get it, you have like two
months to go crazy, just have at it, and then
you have to live your dreams. Yeah, go to wild
(08:21):
over Country dog Pat Usa, if wherever you want to
go skydiving. Yeah, that's nothing, well unless you go tandem
and social distance. All right, that's it. And you have
a new podcast up today. Yes, And one of my
things I'm super excited about this. I have this girl, LaToya,
her video at viral a couple of weeks ago that
(08:43):
she posted with all the racial tension and she's a
black deputy in New Orleans, so she comes from both
sides of this and she her video is amazing. I
even reposted it. And then she's on the podcast, talking
about kind of what her life has been like after
you have a video going viral that would be weird.
(09:04):
And she's the sweetest. I love it. So she's one
of the things, and that's probably what I'm most excited about.
Check out the Bobbycast this weekend. It's my music podcast.
Charlie Warsham's on talking about the state flag in Mississippi,
which is interesting something he's real passionate about. Also, we
talk about, you know, Dixie Chick. We recorded this before
Dick's Chick changed her name with Kurt Rodella. We're talking
(09:24):
about Lady A and we're talking about that new music
out today. But the Bobbycast is very very music centric podcast.
All right, that's what's up. Thank you guys. Enjoyed today's show.
I guess transmitting. Hello, Welcome to Friday Show, Morning Studio Morning.
(09:49):
A few less voices today, No lunchbox, no Raimundo. They're
in Vegas, Raymundo's backstor party. We'll get them on Monday. Well,
they'll be in different rooms than us. Yeah, they're going
to be quarantined, professionally quarantined. But if we gotta do
what we gotta do, well, lunchbox sits an inch from you. Yeah,
of course. So yeah, it's been safe. Where do we start.
(10:11):
The Dixie Chicks have officially changed their name to the Chicks,
and it's weird to see people get mad about that
because people are getting mad. Yeah, of course, but it's
not your life. Yeah, it's not their name yea, yeah,
their choice. That's a weird thing. And you know, I
had a talk with some friends and I was telling them.
(10:32):
I was like, hey, because it was some people involved
in the Lady A Camp, I'll say that. I was like, hey,
people are gonna yell and screaming and kick their feet,
but in the end, the next day, they don't even
care anymore. Yeah, they only care for like the seven
seconds start writing something on Facebook or Instagram, and then
they move on with their life. It's weird that the
Dixie Chicks changed their name. I'm not gonna say it's not.
But if they felt like they needed to change it,
(10:55):
it's great. That's them. Even if they were like, hey,
we're now going to be the Sword Chicks and changing it,
I'd be like, well, that's dumb, but it's your life. Hey,
I don't like so um Yeah, that was a big story.
The Dixie Chicks have officially changed your name to the Chicks.
The group had long officially been referred to as the
Chicks by many fans. I don't know about that. I
(11:16):
never called them the chicks may either, but I was thinking,
what is their ore? Their fan clubs like the Little
Little Chicks, chick chicklin. They said, we want to meet
this moment, the country pop trio said in a one
sentence statement on its website, alluding to the change. Good
for them. If they feel like that's the move to
make wonderful, that's it. We can all move on. It's
(11:37):
gonna be hard to remember that though. When I talk
about the Chicks. You talk about them a lot every Wednesday,
Kaimes talk. Yeah, well that's a different talk. Now, how
do we separate them? Yeah? How do you know when
you're talking about your chicks? Are you talking about no? Oh? No,
well I saw that, you know, the news feed popped
(11:58):
on my phone and it was like the Chicks and
they hadn't officially announced it. Yeah, they just changed their socials.
I think again, weird. That's that. One's gonna be harder
than Lady because we were already calling Lady Abellum Lady
A because we're lazy and we didn't feel like going
to Bellum anymore. We were too lazy to finish the centers.
That was easier than Lady and Tabellum. Uh so, Yeah,
(12:20):
the chicks are it's their name now, wish them well.
Don't know them. You never met him. A couple of
them met Marty okay, Marty, Emily and I saw Emily
in Texas because she was I think she was married
Charlie Robinson. Correct, maybe not anymore, no divorced okay, um so,
(12:44):
but yeah, I never met Natalie. She mostly was in
California once. So, but good for the chicks. Let them
have their time. Who cares right and who cares to
a good way. Let's just care about things that either
affect us or are personally hurting other folks. That's when
we can step in. Remember two rules. What are my
two rules? Rule Number one? Wear a mask? No, that's
a good rules during the day, yes, at night, construction
(13:10):
at night at night? Right, No construction during the daytime. Yes,
I ripped my headphones out in celebration. I was like, oh,
I got that right. Yeah. Um one, when worrying about
if you're going to say something negatively. One does it
affect you or somebody close to you? If the answer
is no, go to the next level level two question
two is it hurting anyone? No, it's not. Move on
(13:33):
with your life. Those are the two rules, and then
three's wear a mask. And then four is but now
we're getting to my political platform, and five is don't
be late. Oh that might be one. We're just on
two different planes here though. Okay, let's go listen to
ask me a question. Recently said, Hey, what song blew
you away the first time you heard it? I thought
(13:53):
about that. Then they said, and what's on the first
time you heard it? You went not for me, but
didn't really became one of your favorites as far as
hearing it on the radio. So I was like, dang,
all right, so here are my answers, and I'm gonna
come to you guys. Okay. So the song that blew
me away the first time I heard it was Cam
Burning House. And that's a fun story because Cam was
(14:17):
a new artist. She came into the show to promote
a different song as her first single. I don't even
know what song it was, but I was like, hey, Cam,
that's not my favorite song. What about this album? Cut here?
And so I played Burning House and then no, no,
she played it on the show. I had her play
it on the show. That's what it was. So she
played it on the show and I kept playing it
(14:38):
over and over again instead of the single, and they
call me and they call me and they went, hey,
we're switching the song. Your audience loves it so much,
we're gonna switch it. And then we made her the
on the Verge artist and then it went number one
and like that. That's a really cool story. And she
even toured with us too, did a couple of shows
with the Original Idiots, And I remember specifically how quiet
she could make a whole theater be with that song,
(15:00):
just like no one's saying anything but listening, how beautiful
it was. That's just that that song is such a
testament to the listeners of the show because that was
never going to be her radio song. That she had
a different song, and that's the one that she came
in with, and because of our listeners, they kept downloading
it and streaming it. They called me hours later and
we're like, hey, we're switching it. We decided to change
our mind with switching into the burning House. I thought
(15:21):
that was so cool and yeah, but that's the song.
The first time she played it, I was like, holy Moley,
that's a jam, the one that took a second. But
then I love Now to hear on the radio is
meant to be oh like I love it. But the
first time I heard it, I was like, all right,
what's a big deal. But now it's really when it
(15:41):
comes on I'll play on the dance Party two. Sometimes
it's so good. Yeah, it's funny. One day we should
do a whole story about our listeners, like a whole
show or a podcast for them. Because the other even
(16:03):
before cam it was when I had Chris Jansen to
buy Me a Boat and no I'd ever heard it,
and I played it Chris didn't even have a record
deal and blew it up, and then Chris got a
record deal. I mean, it's just the power of our audience.
Because I remember it was just during a commercial, right
before commercial break. I went to Ray I was like, hey,
you put the song in, may play a clip of it,
and it was buy Me a Boat wasn't on a
(16:26):
not on Warner didn't have a had been dropped in
our listeners and went to number one. We called him,
we got it up to number one, and then he
got a record deal. Then it was a number one song.
Girl Crush is another one. There's a lot of those.
It's that's fine, man Ayby, what are your songs? Um?
I want with the more recent one that I liked instantly,
blew you away. The first time you heard it, it it
was when Ingered Andrews came in and played more Hearts
(16:48):
than Mine break, I'll be fine, but you'll be breaking.
And if I remember, because Ingrid had never done a
radio interview when she came in here correct, it was
our first one ever, and I was like, hey, come up,
really great But she played ladylike full and only a
(17:11):
verse and chorus of more Hearts than Mine. Oh well,
that was the first time I heard any of it
and thought it was so good and I loved the song. Yeah,
she played alive in here. And then what was the
one that took a minute? Oh, Jason Aldean burning it down?
I did this song made me feel so awkward and uncomfortable.
And when he first heard it out, I was like,
(17:33):
what was Jason Aldean thinking? Why did he put out
this song? Uh? And no, I love it. I love it.
Turned it up spoiler. Man, it was buy Me a Boat.
When I first heard Buy Me a Boat, I'm like,
oh my good, Oh yeah, this is a straight jam.
(17:58):
Everyone's so cleverly written and everything it's it's it was
so good. I remember I went back home and told
my wife, like, listen to this. Bones just discovered this song.
I guess you just told the story how you did it.
But she was like, that is really good and it's
not her style of music at all, but we loved it.
I've probably because Chris and I are good friends too,
and we've done so many shows together, either me doing
(18:20):
comedy or him playing with Eddie and Ice band The
Raging Idiot. Yeah. I probably sang that song with him
on a stage ten times and I never want to.
And he's like, man, come on you here, let's just
get out there and sing it. Let's do it for
all time saying, and I was like, didn't want to
hear me sing this song. He does always say too,
like Bones, this song wouldn't even be a thing one
for you. Come on, you're singing, And I'm like, nobody cares.
That's a long time ago. We don't even bring that
up anymore. Yeah, which one took a second for you?
(18:42):
I took a second. One was up down Morgan Wallen.
I was like, come on, man up for a few times,
like come on, yeah, damn, we're arguing about what BFE
stood for. Yeah, So we even asked him, well asked
him finally, that's fun. Well, thanks for the listener to that.
Somebody those questions. That was awesome. Hope everybody's awesome. Thanks
(19:06):
for hanging out. I hope you're having a great morning Friday.
Let's get over to Amy's facts fun. Here we go,
five of these suckers. Number five. So the character who
made the most appearances on Seinfeld outside of the four
main characters was well, oh oh you got this? Do
you know the answer? No? I know, but I have
a guest, So it can't be Jerry or George or
(19:27):
Elaine or Cramer, right, m. The character on Seinfeld that
made the most appearances she was in would you have said? Newman?
She was in one hundred and one of the one
hundred and eighty episodes and usually just in the background. Wow,
do I know who it is? I don't know. I mean,
is she somebody famous? Not that I know of Oh
(19:48):
we probably don't know it. Was it a waitress, it's
a diner. Exactly who it is? Is it? Yeah? Her
Ruthie Cohen, a waitress and cashier at the diner. Yeah, funny.
Wouldn't have gotten that unless you said she was in
that mini and then I was like, well, no, act
there was. That's interesting, all right? What else you guy?
Number four, So it would take one month for a
sloth to travel one mile before I really got into
(20:13):
this is how I was running at that same pace.
I've now been at it for five weeks, so that
was my pace for a while. Number three so, no
only child has ever been elected president of the United States.
Maybe having of all of them, of all of them,
I started to think, well, maybe having siblings gives you
some sort of skill or diverse way to work with people.
(20:37):
Any only children on the show at all? Nope? Yeah, no, none,
Well we can all be president. Number two. The average
adult produces five hundred leaders of p a year, which
is enough to fill up three bathtubs. That's hot. You
can tell Kaitlin that when you get home. That's not
(20:59):
number one. So when he was in high school, Bill
Gates hacked his school's program code so that he would
be placed in classes with mostly female students. Nice senius
runs me of the time I cheated the scantron Valentine's Day,
that's all right, where I was like, day can't be
great in these per real So it was like, you
take this whole test, you put all these things about you,
They send it to the scantron and they tell you
(21:19):
what two or three girls you are most compatible with?
Why colored in every circle, every girl got me on
their list. You're basically Bill Gates. Yeah, I still got
no dates and no girlfriend, but I was playing the
system a little bit. Yeah, that's awesome. There you go.
Fight The latest from Nashville in Tullywood Morgan number two
(21:40):
thirty seven, Skinny and the Dixie Chicks have officially dropped
Dixie from their name. Their website and social media handles
were updated yesterday with a statement that they are now
the Chicks. Lots of new music out today to Neil
Towns dropped her album The Lemonade Stand, Lauren, Alanna and
Trici year Would collaborated on a new version of Lauren's
song Getting Good. Also it's getting Good Good. I think
(22:05):
maybe that's Whusk Thomas Rhet shared another new song on
his Instagram that he co wrote with his dad, Rhett Aikins.
It's called Things Dad's Doings. I can't flying by the scene.
This a stygie. You'll get embas when he ruins your
cool when he pulls out of cameraon your first day
(22:29):
school man, you things, I'm Morgan number two. That's your
skinny had. It's time for the good news good so
shout out to this singer Collette Holly. She already had
been volunteering with nursing homes to Alzheimer's patients over the years,
(22:52):
singing to them to you know, brighten their day. But
with coronavirus, she hasn't been able to do her normal
volunteer job, so she decided to give residence at nursing
homes an intimate experience. Those on the third and fourth floor.
She would just rent a cherry picker, and the cherry
picker lifts her up to those top floors because they're
(23:13):
the ones that get left out. Bottom floor people. They
really haven't made at nursing homes. Not gonna lie why
because they're already on the bottom floor and you can
go up to their window. At my dad's place. There's
people on the first floor and those family members can
go right up to their window in their room. They
take lawn chairs, they hang out all day without scheduling
a time. Yeah, because is I have to go to
my dad's on the third floor, so he has to
(23:34):
come down to a common area and it's only a
one little when you get him a room move well,
I mean someone has to no longer be there. Well,
that's not tell me something about Yeah, that's good. Whenever
there's an opening and assisted living, that's why not a good?
Or can you be on the waiting list though to
move down? I guess, but I don't really want to
(23:55):
move them again. It's a lot. Okay, So anyway with
coronavirus can get a cherry picker, which it's five hundred
and fifty dollars to rent a cherry picker for a day.
But she collected donations from people and basically had it covered.
That's pretty cool. We used to use cherry pickers to
roof house. Is a little bit way to get up
certain places, especially during the tearoff. But cherry picker is
not good. Not for me, I don't like going high,
(24:18):
but good for her. It's thirty feet okay, anything above
how tall I am? I don't like okay, yeah, but
good for her. That's awesome. That's what it's all about.
That was tell me something good. Bonehead. Eddie is doing
the Bonehead for Lunchbox because Lunchboxes with Ray Mundo. It's
a big bachelor party. Hopefully they don't come back bone Heads.
(24:40):
We'll be doing a story on them next week. Yeah, Eddie,
it's up to you. All right, here we go. This
one comes to us from Vienna, Austria, and a man
has been fine five hundred and sixty five dollars for
passing gas in front of a police officer. Wow, how
does that happen? Because it's a natural thing. Sure, sure,
but but the police had to tweet this out and
they said, guys, we don't just give tickets or arrest
(25:00):
people for passing gas. This guy intently touted in front
of the cop over and over, and he was in
a park bench and the cop was right there and say, hey, copy,
look at this. That's what Stevenson does. I'd like to
see that. How body can see some evidence? I need
to see the body can with the guy who won't
stop firing on the cop. They say, you better stop
that right now. Oh yeah, here you go. And how
(25:21):
do you just say? Sorry? My stomach just hurting the
whole time? Well, man, I don't know. Maybe he's gonna
fight it in court, but as far as this went,
he got arrested. And I don't think this point it
doesn't fart on the judge in court. Oh yeah, judge,
watch this anyway. That's your bonus story of the day.
You can check out my podcast called The Bobby Cast.
(25:42):
We will load it up today and subscribe to it.
We have Charlie Worsham coming on. He's a very interesting
story about wanting to change the state flag and there's
some real ground being made with it. Also, Carbadella, who
writes for USA Today, talks about like Lady and Abelle,
I'm changing their name in the story there. We talk
about the new music out. So check out The Bobby
Cast wherever you listen to your podcast. We maybe even
posted it already, so check it out. Why are you
(26:05):
too good to let us send you dinner one night
while you're packing? Oh shoot, I'm not too good? You are?
We've tried. No, I'm not too good. I even texted
Caitlin and said, I'm so sorry. The first night she
wanted to do it. It was the first night, y'all,
she said, we you're right, The first night y'all wanted
to do it. We was also the last night in
(26:26):
our old house which we were renters in, and everything
had to be spotless since we sold it to the
new owners and we were there cleaning until midnight. You
still have to eat super dry. It was a hot mess,
and we tried again. Okay, we'll do it tonight. I'll
text her. Okay, Well, I mean you can just say
it to my ear, but you can text her. Sure.
But all I'm saying is we've tried a couple of times.
(26:47):
We care about you deeply. We know that you're unpacking
like crazy, and we were like, hey, we'll let's cover dinner.
We'll send you uber eat your dinner, and super thoughtful.
I know. It was very kind gesture and I didn't
end up eating and now you're hungry. I know. I
know I'm not a good you know because as a
friend sometimes we have to work on accepting things from
(27:09):
people because that's normally something and that I would have
been pretty adamant about. You're not doing that. Don't worry
about it. But I was like, you know what, they
reached out, it's something they want to do. I should
allow it. Her idea. By the way, I didn't even
think about that I'm involved, because I was like, good idea.
I'm in. I can sign off on that because now
we do things together. You guys are a team. Yes,
(27:31):
speaking of teams, yesterday was Mike D's birthday, right, yeah,
And so what happened was, I was like, I gotta
get Mike D something. But now his girlfriend's with them,
you know, quarantining and who knows. I was like, you know,
I'm gonna get them something together. So I got him
a little trip, some soild West gift cards, a low
hotel stay and then then very close on Mike D.
We've been together for like ten years or so, and
(27:52):
so again I'm a nice little gift and righting on
the card and I'm just kind of being funny and
I ride in the card. I right, these are gift
cards for birthday and sign it and I was about
to close it. And that's always gonna write because Mikedy
and I don't need to share emotions. Who needs that.
But then Kaylin takes the car and goes, no, I'm
not gonna do that, says she writes a big note
over the top of it, was like, you were very loved,
(28:13):
You're very cared about. I hope you have the most
wonderful birthday. And I'm like, that takes away my joke.
It takes away my joke of it's your birthday, but
it was Mike Dy's birthday. Mike, how old are you now?
Twenty nine? You're growing? Yeah, he's getting very guy, he is.
I'm proud of our boy over there. We met Mike D.
I met Mike D. He was emailing me now my
(28:34):
space to me and he was like, hey, man, I'm
thinking about starting a podcast. How many years ago was that, Mike?
That was yeah, like ten years ago. I mean my
space was popular. Yeah. So I was like, well, why
don't he just come up to the radio station. I
don't know you, but I'm happy to help you. So
he comes up and I say, hey, why don't you intern?
Right yep, And the knowledge of the intern, he like
created a fake second internship basically, I say like three times.
(28:57):
And then we left Texas and came to to Tennessee
and he stayed back and helped me get a job
as a board op on the weekends, but he was
doing night shifts and I was like, first shot comes off.
We found jobs for him and all of a sudden
he worked his way up and now he's my my
right hand guy here. So have birthday man, Thank you.
How's it going with your girl? Going really good? Yeah?
Have you guys any fights yet? We've gotten on each
(29:18):
other's nerves. Nothing like a big fight. But how does
some how does Mike d quiet Mike handle someone getting
on his nerves? Or how do you get more quiet?
I get on her nerves. Well, I'm very messy. Oh
are you an interesting Kayla? And I get on answer
the nerves a little bit. Mostly I just get on
hers more than anything, because she's pretty chill, pretty awesome. Yeah.
(29:43):
I wish I had better stories about her getting on
my nerves, but I kind of get on her nerves
and then I just I just try to disappear for
a while. Sometimes she just needs time without me. That
realized a pretty healthy thing. Time without Bobby's usually pretty good.
Pilled to make make you better. It's a little distance, Okay,
do you do that with your wife's My two hour
walks absolutely much better. Hey, birthday Bud, thank you. We're
(30:07):
talking about when we started this segment, me not taking dinner,
not accepting your dinner. I should send you. We went
to Olive Garden and they had there. It was we
had the greatest night. So first of all, at Olive Garden,
I limited myself to two bread sticks. Why why would
you do that? Well, because I love them so much,
I'll have ten. Yeah, ten's not good for you years.
Where's the thing about the Olive Garden in town? They
(30:29):
were so good about you stayed outside until they could
call you in to seat you. They had everything so
spread out, so they had us wait outside. They were like,
gonna be five to ten minutes. We sat on a
little bench. They called us into the area where the
hostess talks to you and see two. There was nobody there.
They took us to the table. It was very spaced out.
The waitress had a mask on. She didn't get right
(30:50):
on top of the table. And then they had a
trivia game on the side that you can play. And
so I was playing with my knuckles and I was
so excited because I was just beating these chumps like easy.
I was playing against I love trivia, and they're like
five people and you're all playing tribe against each other.
I was just crushing on the Caitlyn goes, hey, you
know that's on real people, right, and I was like oh,
And then she was right. I wasn't play against real people.
They're like no, So I was getting really competitive with bots.
(31:12):
Apparently they're probably letting you win. But I had the
soup the tiscon This is not a commercial, by the way,
I don't think we do commercial Fall of Garden. Dwey
no a tiscana soup, the salad, two bread sticks. He
dip the bread sticks in the soup. And then Caitlin
got the chicken, the m no, the chicken. What's the
(31:33):
NOODLEA no, what's the noodle called mettuccini? The chickat chicken
fetuccini and I had half of it and it was
amazing at an Italian restaurant. He's like the noodle, you know,
there's maybe there's angel. What do you want you? Anyway,
we had had a great night of alive garden. All right,
(31:54):
that's all. I think we learned a good lesson here, right,
which part to accept love from others? Yes, don't trivia
against bots. Well, I was killing them. Yeah, give your
partner space and don't be messy. We learned a lot
actually yeah, yeah, to know Michael was so messy. You
might your Amy's pile of stories. Hard Seltzer was the
(32:17):
drink of the summer last year. You had White Call
and Truly Well, Truly one are the brands that a
lot of people like. They now make hard Seltzer ice
cream with alcohol. Yeah. It has five percent alcohol, which
is the same as the can of their drink. Can
you get drunk off of ice cream? Yeah, it just
depends on how much you eat of it. I don't
have the calorie content here, but yeah. They partnered with
(32:40):
a brand called Tipsy Scoop and that's where you can
buy it is at Tipsy scoop dot com. And it
does say twenty one and over on the ice cream. Wow,
that would be the easiest way to get me drunk
and me not know it. I here's what i love,
ice cream and smoothies and soup. I'm good for a
week of food. I feel like you would know right
(33:01):
off the bast as soon as you taste it. There's
something like who made this taste? I so pro alcohol
flavored ice cream. All right, what else they mean? Well,
Taste the Country put together a list of country music
breakups that we never saw coming. Oh that's interesting. Okay,
let me think about this breakups. I think the most
recent breakup, you know, triggered this article. Oh, Carly Pearce
(33:23):
and Michael Ray. Yeah. I don't think anybody saw much.
I mean they got they got very quickly. Yeah, and
I would say they're not that big in country music
yet for us to like, really, I think this made
them bigger break up. No, the marriage, I think they
were like, dang, we'll get a lot of coverage here.
Being a couple is it probably made the deal a
(33:43):
little sweeter. By the way, they're both wonderfully nice people. Michael, Right,
Michael Ray is a real treat you know. But I
don't and you'll know that I'm a surprised because I
don't really know this one. You were surprised by for sure,
because these people they were together ten years. They were
only married for but together total ten years. You know,
I'm talking about like Shelton Maranda Labor. Oh, that was
a little surprising because Miranda stays so private too, and
(34:06):
that it was like, wow, how about that, And we
were the first interview Blake he did after that breakup.
Oh I do remember that. Wow. Yeah, I think we're
the only one he did for a while. Yeah. What
else I don't know where it was, well, at least
for us, was Kelly Clarkson and her husband Brandon splitting up.
They were together seven years. Well, that one was weird
because it just was like bam right on Instagram. Right,
and she has gotten so much bigger again because of
(34:27):
the voice. But yeah, that was a surprising one. I
guess we don't know him as much. And it was
dad is man, you know. Yeah, But I gotta say
I remember gasping when Jake Owen and his wife split.
They were only together three years. But I remember, Yeah,
I don't know my life. I've gassed many times. You
probably got much bigger things than I don't. No, No,
(34:48):
I gassed at things like this on Instagram when I
see it pop up on e or people or whoever
I'm following, And sometimes I'm like, oh what, Yeah, anybody
else on the list? Riba and Norvel they were together
twenty six years. Norvell as Brandon's dad. Yeah, yeah, I
know Novel relatively well and so I know just Brandon
through association, and Brandon was the one married to Kelly.
(35:09):
That's how Reba and Kelly worked together. And Reba was
saying she supports Kelly during this I support everybody. So
it is Brandon, Reba's mom. They got divorced. Yes, okay,
so Kelly's ex husband's modern family. Man, I think it's
step mom. Reba was the step Okay, that was my question.
I don't know they twenty six years held Brandon. I
(35:32):
don't know no older than that. So yes, you're yeah, okay.
So a company in Japan is finding success with drive
through haunted houses because the coronavirus. Oh, I'd crash into something,
Holy crapo, or I'm drive right into I for sure
we're in somebody in that haunted house because I'll be
like coming day. It's like they're ramping up and they're
(35:54):
actually pretty scary because the people can come up to
your cars and do things. Here's what they have to do.
Then they have to you have to like a car wash,
turn your car off and has to move you on
a belt because I'm out of there. Man, first sign
of trouble. And you know a lot of people are
taking a look at what Halloween is going to look
(36:15):
like this year? Will there be trick or treating? Should
you be going questions? I've been thinking about this. You
please tell us. What I'm gonna do is I'm gonna
sit back, I'm gonna I'm gonna have a rope on
my door. Oh, hold the door open. I'm gonna throw
candy at them, Okay, six feet apart, Yeah, so that's smart.
Or or when I see him coming to the house,
stop just chunk candy bars to them. And the candy's
(36:39):
gotta be big to throw far, so everybody wins, the
kids get better candy, and we don't have to touch
it's not those kids with cronies. Yeah. I really hope
that it won't be It won't be good by then,
by the way, Halloween, No, alright, just give up on
this year. Don't give up on it. Just look at
this year as well. This is gonna be a learning
time for us. Yeah, we're going to get through it.
We're gonna wear masks, We're gonna look out for our
(37:00):
fellow humans. Yea, and hopefully. I was listening to a
bunch of doctors yesterday. They are feeling pretty good about
a vaccine. At the end of this year, they're feeling
pretty good. It could be early next year, but they're like, hey,
and what the government's doing too, is they've invested in
five vaccines. I believe it's five now where they're masked
producing them right now. One of them could have worked
(37:22):
for them, could work, they don't know. But they're betting
early on the five that they feel the best about,
and they're producing millions of them. So when it does,
if it does work, maybe for them, don't, but they'd
rather be ready with one that does. So let's go
baby anyway, So Norvel and Rebill, Right, Hi, Amy, that's
my file. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time
(37:46):
for the good news. A mom and her eleven month
old son were at a protest in Palmdale, California, when
the eleven month old the baby started choking. Now luckily,
a sheriff's deputy was nearby and sprang into action to
save the infant. A video shared by the Los Angeles
County Sheriff's Department shows Deputy Cameron Kinsey rushing to help
(38:09):
the baby boy, who was quote in physical distress. The
mom's frantic she's crying. Law enforcements say okay, go pull
it aside, and so Kinsey, the deputy runs over, takes
damp and in the arms and then the baby. It
swallowed a coin, which was why the baby was choking. Oh,
it was lodging his throat. And so the deputy Kinzie
(38:31):
opened the airway with a mouth sweet procedure, which I
guess has got to be a little smaller. Maybe you
go pinky because it's a baby. Maybe yeah, But took
the coin, turned the coin sideways, allowed air to go through.
Didn't pull it all the way out, but turned it.
It's like causing me to now but shout out to
deputy camera, Kinzie. That's awesome in action. Saved a baby.
(38:56):
That's what I'm talking about. That's what it's all about.
That was tell me something good. All right over to
Amy with the Morning Corny, Morning Corny. Why did the
roofer go to the doctor? Why did the roofer go
to the doctor because you had a bad case of shingles?
(39:20):
That was the Morning Corny. I very much relate to
that joke for two reasons. One because I was a
roofer and I've had the shingles both, and I don't
know which one's worse, honestly, because I used to do
tearoffs first, and what you do tear off is just
they need somebody to do the dirty work. And so
I would go, you take a shovel, you put it
under the shingle, you put your foot and it takes
the nail on the shingle out and you throw it
(39:41):
on the ground. But that's not the worst part of it.
The worst part of it's not being on top of
the roof and the beating sun. It's going to having
to clean up what you threw down. So then you
got more strategic about where you threw it, because your
first couple of roofs you just like chunk it over
your shoulder. Then you go, I don't want to have
to clean up all around the house, so you try
to strategically dump it. So did that and then slowly
moved up Carrie. And shingles up on ribs is the
(40:02):
worst two because you're just going up a lot of
a shingles on your shoulder. Not safe. They may do
it a safer a way. We didn't because we were hardcore.
We probably didn't know any better. And then also I've
had shingles. I had them my ribs very itchy and herdy.
Roof is probably worse. Both sound terrible. I've had friends
had shingles in their eyes, though well I didn't have. Yeah, yeah,
(40:24):
I was like that friend. I don't know because yours
weren't that bad. In your eye. I was wearing makeup.
I mean, I don't know, I was. We were in
Las Vegas for work and I don't know. I just
had to FaceTime with our doctor and all of a sudden,
all on the side of my face and in my
eye and my eyebrow. I just had all these red
bumps and it was super painful. And I had to
go in Las Vegas to the drug store and pick
(40:45):
up my Valtrecks, which is the herpies medication medication while
I was in Vegas. Yeah, shingles are a chicken poc.
Yeah yeah, right, It's like an old, old old chicken poc.
So not fun. But I would still say roofing was hard,
So good joke, Darren. Here's a voicemail. This is Peter
and Florida. Yes they show, Let's go. I found your
(41:10):
show in Gainesville on one of three seven the country
a couple of years ago. Since then, I've turned my
mom my, sister, my girlfriend, pretty much everyone I know.
Onto it. You're waking us up every morning. I appreciate you.
Don't get caught with your headphones. Then today at work,
there you go, shout out. Appreciate you too. Thank you,
everybody in Gainesville, shout out. You can call us anytime.
(41:31):
Eight seven, seven seventy seven, Bobby, all right, time for
round two of food Feud Friday, where we put up
two popular food rivals against each other. Last week all
of garden breadsticks beat the cheddar baby biscuits. That's disappointed
(41:52):
by that one. But yeah, which, by the way, from
Red Lobster, all right. This week in the red corner
at three hundred fourteen calories, made of wheat, milk, eggs
and soy. You usually eat them late, late at night,
we have waffle House waffle m pretty good. Yeah, and
(42:22):
maybe not like the best, like you go, the most
pure tasty, but for the moment that they're perfect for
that scenario. In the blue corner at four hundred and
thirty calories, they're golden fluffy, topped with whipped real butter.
They are the world famous buttermilk pancakes from my hat.
(42:44):
All right, there are five of US voting today, Meet
Amy Eddie Morgan number two and if there's a tie,
will pull in Scuba Steve since Lunchbox and Ray aren't here.
Amy got a waffle House waffles versus Ihot pancakes. Are
you taken there? Oh? This is easy for me. It's
a waffle house of waffles. Wow. Done it? Didn't see
that and say that coming? Okay? Yeah? Look, every time
my dad comes to town, we go to one place
(43:05):
in one place only it's waffle house. Wow. However, oh, however,
I do love me some Ie Hoop pancakes, So give
me some International House of pancakes. Come on, good. One vote,
one vote. Morgan evelin a waffle house one time in
(43:25):
my life and I did very much enjoy the waffle.
But I love Ie Hoop anytime, any day, so give
me some. I hopa what's wrong with every every night
Monday to Friday, Sunday to Thursday. I guess would be
I would study at waffle house and eat the waffle.
It's perfect for that room. I'll go on waffle House waffles,
(43:46):
yeah sure, and the syrup waffle House waffles for sure,
but I hop has like ten syrups waffle House so
good they have one take it or leave it right? Okay,
do you need anything other than maple? But kids eat
free it. We're not talking about kids. Okay, Hey Scuba Steve,
you get to be the closing vote today. Waffle House
waffle or I Hop pancake? What do you? What do
(44:07):
you think? So? For me, I Hop. It's dear to
my heart because I went there for my first hole
communion when I was in second grade. I remember that
memory like it was yesterday. But as an adult, waffle
House has taken over for me. I love going there
to the jukebox, picking my music, sitting down, seeing the
food we made right in front of you. It's just incredible. Yes, atmosphere.
(44:28):
Atmosphere is what takes it to the next level for me.
So I am going on one hundred percent for waffle
House on the winning team. I didn't win last week.
Um so waffle House wins three hundred fourteen college waffle
House are champion today. We'll find out next week. We'll
do another one next week. That's fun, huh, There so
(44:49):
much fun. So everybody's an expert now when it comes
to the human body, especially COVID and Corona everybody's an expert.
We have so many infectious disease experts out there. Not
that's amazing. Uh so four and five people consider themselves
extremely knowledgable about the human body. But when they actually
tested and said, hey, here's a grade school quiz of
the human body, only one in ten past is wow.
(45:10):
So that shows you how smart we think we are,
firstus how smart we actually are. Okay, so I'm gonna
give you guys, this is from fifth grade. Oh great,
this is a human body quiz. Okay, write your answer down.
What's the name of the biggest part of the human brain?
Oh it's not multiple choice? No, oh boy, I'm just
(45:33):
gonna give you five questions. Well, who does the best question? Yeah?
Do we need to pronounce it correctly? Eddie, eddie? As
long as I know? Yeah. Oh, I mean I have
two things in my head, and one of one of
the things in my brain I don't even know if
it's an animal or part of my brain? Is why
am I thinking it's what? Can I choose? My own
(45:57):
brain can't even tell me what it is like about
in my This is annoying to me. What's the name
of the biggest part of the human brain. Okay, Amy,
what do you have hypothalamus? Excuse me? Is that on?
It is that small? That's not right, it's incorrect. No,
mcflirty is what you get McDonald's, Eddie, I have celebro celebarum.
(46:25):
Is this cerebr that's the front of you said ballpark.
I didn't say ballpark, I said, Mike. I can no,
that's cerebraum. I just say no. He says no. Oh,
(46:46):
it's like a company. It's not the biggest part. Morgan.
I had cranial artery, the cerebru. Okay, Dan, you're close.
It's really close. Amy, guess octopus or something. No, I
guess hypothalamus. And I was debating that in the migdola
(47:08):
or whatever. But I think that that's tiny. Okay, here
we go. The colored part of the human eye that
controls how much light passes through the pupil. Oh, well,
let's not what the let scratched out pupil. Okay, the
color and part of the human eye. Oh, part right,
I got this. I'm in let's head up all right,
(47:31):
Amy Cornea, Eddie, Cornea, Morgan. I didn't have anything nothing. Well,
that's iris iris. You all missed it. Okay, go ahead
before not good. I don't even need to write those
things down. What's the name of the long pipe that
shifts food from the back of your throat down to
(47:53):
your stomach? In mmmmm? What's the name of the long
pipe that shifts food from the back of your throat
down to your stomach? All right, we're going Is your
head up, Morgan, because when you let your head up,
I think everybody's in. I was trying to find him. Oh,
she was holding her head up like running her finger
down road. Do you have your answer that, Morgan? Yeah,
(48:14):
it's not right, but yeah, Amy, what do you have? Esophagus? Correct? Eddie?
That would be esophagus, correct Morgan, she's laughing. Stomach the
stomach come yeah, I know. That's how you put down
there to make it come back up. That's when you
swallow that stuff. Yeah. Okay him? And is that three? Yeah?
We got one right, Amy, we're on the board. You're
(48:36):
on the board. Okay. The innermost part of the bones
contains what the innermost part of the bones contains what
in Amy, bone marrow, Eddie, bone marrow, Morgan, calcium. I mean,
(48:56):
it's kind of true. The answer is bone marrow, okay,
all right, last question, write these down? What are the
four main blood types? What we will get a sudden
death of Amy and Eddie are tide? What are the
(49:17):
four main blood types? All right? I think I got it? Amy? Good?
Not good? Do you even do you know your blood type?
I don't. I know that I do somewhere, but right everybody, Amy,
(49:38):
I need your your answer, the four main blood types? Amy? Okay, Oh,
be positive? That's our show saying a negative? Okay, av
you get be positive? A negative? What do you have? Eddie?
Do you need the negatives in the POSI? What do
(49:59):
you have? Okay? I have a B C and oh
you were so close? I was. I was just as closed.
Now you aren't, Morgan. I have a B B minus
and no be negative. There's no positive or negatives. There's
(50:22):
a B, A B, no blood tips you you know
what do you? You didn't get all four of them?
But I got oh and a B. And you said
Eddie was closer than me, and I got the same. Okay,
it doesn't matter where wrong? Well, no, you're doing a
whole song and dance around it. It just seemed more wrong. No,
It just that I A B came out on my
mouth last. Okay, well you both only got two out
(50:43):
of five. All right, so I don't claim to be
a body expert sudden death, okay, buzzing with's your name?
Another name for your voice boxes? Eddie Eddie voice Box? No,
that's the same name too, late Amy, is it like
Gary Lavox? What is it? Doesn't Lavox voice? I heard name.
(51:12):
I think Lavox means it's a medical term. Is your answer, Lavox?
No with your name? Okay, larrn x correct larn She
didn't even say it, no, Loie whatever. I don't even
(51:36):
know how I knew that. It just came out of me.
So his stage name Lavox means the voice see, but
it doesn't mean voice box. But I mean I wasn't
far off. Yeah, then you got larn Cox, which we
gave you. There. She is big winner. If you start
(51:56):
to fill a symptom, are you googling it pretty fast?
Are you just gonna kind of see where it goes?
I normally see where it goes, and then I hit Google.
If it doesn't stop. Yeah, I Google immediately and then
commit myself have COVID. Yeah, I don't like to do that.
I've had Corona about nine times since this whole thing
has started in your mind. Yeah, yeah, I'm like, well
got it, let me just see And so I look
up stuff and it's not usually it, but yeah, this
(52:18):
whole story is in a pole. Ninety eight point six
percent of people believe what they see the first time
they look at it, at least for a minute. They're like, oh, okay,
I have this, and they're like, hey, don't and don't
go into your doctor saying what your internet search said,
because doctors say two where they People come in and like,
well listen, I was googling and it says I may
have a cat scratch fever, hysteria, gingivitis, and they're like, yeah, no, no, no,
(52:43):
it's not it at all. So yeah, people are googling
the crap out of stuff. But Google is awesome for
the most part, right, yeah, for sure. Facebook is great
for the most part. Nah, I'll retract that statement. You
have to think about that. Tell you when Yes Morgan
was talking about yesterday she put up the story about
the Dixie Chicks taking Dixie out of their name, and
people were going berserk. Right, oh yeah, all the you
(53:06):
know how you can react on Facebook. We're getting angry
phase people are angry, it's not their name. And even
in okay, even if you feel like it's dumb, it's
not your name, right, it's not your name. But also,
why why would you hate on anybody that's trying to
be do what's best for them and be progressive and
whatever they're going through to figure out how Oh it's
(53:33):
I just don't understand people that don't understand people trying
to make positive changes because of what's being brought to
their attention. It's stuff that maybe they really hadn't taken
the time to sit with, and now we're finally seeing
some change, and it's it's it's a good thing. People
don't even have to agree with somebody, Well, yeah, you
really don't. If it doesn't hurt you in a negative way,
(53:54):
you don't have to agree with them. All right, here's
a voicemail we got last night. Hey Bobby, good morning studio.
I just wanted to say I love that everyone's back
in the studio. The show is the best it's been
in a really long time. And then, Bobby, I had
a question for you. Now that Caitlin has moved in,
is she doing anything to make the house her own?
(54:15):
I know that you decorated it and everything when you
moved in, So I was just wondering, is she adding
any little touches for herself. Yeah, I would say mostly,
I've just said, hey, it's up to you. You can
do whatever you want or as little as you want,
because I don't care about that stuff. I think I
would live in an empty house with a TV and
a PlayStation. At this point, I just felt weird not
having stuff on the wall. But yeah, she kind of
(54:36):
has and is taking a little control in that department
with some changes happening anyway. So but yeah, and she
actually has taste when it comes to that stuff, because
I would like, let me just hang guitars, but pictures
the guitars and microphones up. And then also, you know,
I've lived by myself forever, so it's always just been
like pictures of me. She's like, maybe we'll do some
(54:57):
pictures of us. Oh yeah, and maybe just doesn't look
like the museum to Bobby when you walk in, And
I'm like, great, I've always looked forward to putting up
pictures that aren't of just me. So yeah, she's definitely, um,
take in some charge. Yeah, and I'm happy with it actually,
I'm very happy. I just I don't like to deal
with that stuff. I could live in a fifty square
(55:17):
foot place with a TV and a pisser. It's true. Yeah,
I would be fine. I would be fine. Mike d
What were you asking earlier? Yeah, I wanted to ask
if anybody else noticed something kind of revealing on your Instagram,
on my Instagram or story on your Instagram story, you
had people send it in questions, and somebody asked you
if Caitlin was the one. Oh yeah, I saw that.
(55:43):
I thought that was either you being like, oh yeah
she is, or oh yeah, like sarcastic, not really answering this,
like of course she's the one. It wasn't made sarcastic
at all. Yeah, oh yeah. With sarcastic would have been
like Emog's like crazy face. No, just like, yeah, of course,
do you think we would love together? If not? Yeah? Yeah,
(56:03):
true rock and roll. So we got to get to
sound effect. Oh yeah, sound effect for like next week.
We need the cheesy eighties. Oh yeah, yeah yeah. So
I got a lot of messages about that. It's time
for the good news. So last week Denver experienced the
(56:24):
hottest day they've ever had, which was ninety six degrees
pretty hot for Denver, and so the police they're doing
a compassion cruiser, which it's just a police car that
drives around giving away goodies like food, water, and hand sanitizers.
And people in the community are loving it because they're like,
you know what, it is pretty darn hot. So it's
cool to see that going around the town. Well, shout
out to everybody in Denver. We're on the ball there.
(56:46):
Love you guys listening call and now you know what
we feel like half the year or it's just like
scorching hot all the time. I think it's like one
hundred right now or something. Yeah, shout out. Shout out
to the Denver Police Department for them. Thought you're gonna
say ice creams. Maybe next year we have read the
ice creams. It's global warming, so next year it'd be
ninety seven ice creams. Maybe some of those frozen pops
(57:08):
you know, then they're coming the plastic not for me,
Oh you don't like the pop just a little overrated?
Oh okay, I guess if you're compassioning on a budget,
you get some some knockoff otters we had as a kid.
How about just drumsticks? Then the ice cream. We have
the ice cream trup come through the other day and
my kids thought it was the coolest thing ever. And
(57:29):
I was looking for those what are they called the bomb? Oh,
the red, white and blue, the banana chocolate banana chocolate
is the best, yes, And maybe you didn't have it.
And I was like, kids, I'm so sorry, y'all are
missing out on the best thing. Yeah, the red wine
and blue is good. Yeah, but the chocolate banana in
the middle, chocolate, Oh, come on have that one. Oh,
(57:50):
I'll be honest. One. I think the ice cream truck
in my neighborhood sold drugs. Oh. As a kid, I
think because I would always see people buy ice cream.
They didn't like ice cream, and sometimes they go and
look and then not buy anything. And I'd be like,
how did he not get an ice cream? But he
looked happy. He's buying something out Shout out, Denver, shout out.
That's what's going on. That's what's that's what it's all about.
That was tell me something good. End with us now
(58:17):
is Taniel Towns Her new records out today called The
Lemonade Stand. Always good to see you, so good to
see you two. Thanks for having me. You know, you're
only our second person to be up here in the
last four or five months. Wow. I feel honored to
be in the presence of all everybody and so excited
to like feel some piece of normal right now other
humans around you. It's the best. Well we made Travis
(58:38):
Denny come up in the middle of it. We're like,
just risk it with you. We want to make sure
I was safe. Thank you, Travis. We had no regard
for his personal safe We're like, get up here, Travis, Bobby,
I don't even think you were here. Oh that's true.
I wasn't even here. Yeah, good point from home. We
were like, Travis, go in. We promise it's safe to me.
(59:00):
That is funny. Well, congratulations. You know, I'm a huge
fan of your music. Just so today as you're out
checking out new music and what's great about your music,
I'm out today as people are now in a more
normal listening pattern, right, I feel bad for my friends
that put out music during you know, quarantine. Yeah, because
as much as everybody's like, wellybody's gonna be home be streaming,
nobody's streamed crap because we're all out of But now
(59:22):
soon does I leave here this is what I do
on Fridays. Soon does that leave the show? I pick
out my favorite new album and I listen to it.
That's amazing. I love it. What's been happening with you?
What was the whole quarantine experience like for you? I
mean weird. I miss being out on the road. I
miss moving around so very much. But I've been writing
via zoom and trying to learn how to like use
(59:42):
logic so I can make guitar vocals at my house now,
which has been a fun thing to learn. But so
you did pick up a skill. That That's about it.
But yes, I want to play. Let's play a club
with Somebody's daughter. Our listeners will probably know this song
right here, so they may know you for that. The
(01:00:02):
Lemonade Stand is out today. Now, this lemonade Stand reference
comes from a line in Somebody's Daughter, right, Yes it does,
so tell me about that. Yeah, I mean it's from
the lyric, But to me, it's also like this visual
of an actual lemonade stand, like a gathering place, like
I hope that this music is a place where people
can come and be filled up and be reminded of
the dreams they had when they were a kid at
(01:00:24):
a little lemonade stand too. You know what's peculiar about
you is that you don't put a lot of your
personal life on social media, but then you write very
personal songs. It's like you've picked your place to put
the stuff, like, what's what's that about? I mean, that's
the only way I know how to really write songs,
and why that I get. But the social media stuff,
(01:00:44):
you don't really put anything out there. I don't well,
like like Eddie, for example, put the social Security number.
Oh yeah, I've left that part out. But I'm I mean, yeah,
I feel like my most favorite thing to talk about
is music, so that's normally what I like to do
on there. But I have been learning to bake things.
(01:01:04):
I've been watching Kimberly from a Little Big Down's baking
videos and so I've attempted some of that lately, which
has really been fun. The cooking is not going so
well personally, so that's that's not necessarily always Instagram with me, Andy.
Do you ever watch inspiration baking videos or do you
just kind of go for it. I've watched Kimberly's and
there it's like I watch those and I think, Okay,
(01:01:27):
that's goals. I don't know that I it's going to
turn out that way, but yeah, if I came across stuff,
I try to get inspiration, especially because my daughter in
the last few weeks has taken up baking. She loved it.
She loves it, so I gotta stay on the game.
Tanil Talents is here. Let's do a cover first. You know,
I think one of my favorite moments that we've had together,
and we spent some time together because we played shows together. Yes,
(01:01:50):
thank you for having me out with you. We would
sit in the back and play songs and mostly we'd
pass a guitar around and everybody play a cover, but
mostly we'd all do ten seconds and give it back
to you because you were good. And that's when I
was like, man, she can make any songs sound soulful.
So before we get to something a little newer, Okay,
let's do whatever cover you're feeling right now. Okay, let's see.
(01:02:13):
I have been listening to this song a lot lately
with everything going on in the world and just dreaming
of a world is just all full of love. So
this song sets the bar to me. Hey, guys, So
because of licensing roles, we can't play anything with music
on this iHeartRadio channel or podcast anymore, but you can't
(01:02:34):
go to Bobbybones dot com to see it. We hate
that we had to take it down. Wasn't our decision,
but I just wanted to keep you up and we
wanted to keep up as much as possible. So go
to Bobbybones dot com to watch or here whatever you're
missing right now. And thank you for listening to the show.
And sorry about all the legal stuff. One thank you.
(01:02:56):
Danil Towns is here man. That is so good. Do
you ever think about putting our cover like that on
an album? Just just like a straight yes? And why not?
I mean, that's a good question. I feel like so
many of those songs are just so fun to sing.
I love listening to that, the start of Swillie Nelson
record of like all those classic standard songs, and I
(01:03:17):
think it would be I have a dream list of
ones that I would love to record someday. Even Stapleton
will put one or two on a record on a
new record, you know, right, And some people don't even
know they're covers, right. That's what's kind of cool too.
That's such a great idea, Like Tennessee whiskey had been
covered many It's like, now, that's just feels like a
Chris Stapleton song. What are you talking about? Tanielle Towns
is here and she has a new record out today
(01:03:38):
called The Lemonade Stand. Hey, I would like to hear
a little bit of holding Out for the One because
I was looking at the record. I haven't listened to
it yet going to today, but this is the first track.
I listened to a little bit of it coming in. Okay,
only got through one song because I have a short
drive to work. I could lie and say have heard
the whole record. I've heard bunch. I don't see it.
I'll be truthful to you. Thank you for that. So
tell me about holding Out for the One. It's the
(01:04:00):
first track on the record. Yeah, you're right from the heart,
I do. Tell me about this song. I feel like
you know, this message is kind of an important one
to me, and I think I love starting the record
off with this energy. I wrote this sort of thinking
what could be like a sort of anthemic feeling like
let's stand on top of the world, just be proud
of who you are kind of songs. So but like
(01:04:21):
holding Out for the One, romantic. Yes, is that what
you're saying here, That's what I'm saying. You know, play
me a little bit of holding out for the one
go ahead? Okay? Cool Sony songs due. I think people
are at Jersey on the Wall. People know that one
white Horse. Maybe I just know these. I don't know.
I honestly don't know if I've heard them from hearing
(01:04:42):
you play them in person, or if known from the record,
but I know a lot of these. I would encourage
you guys to check out Tanil's record. I'm just such
a big fan. And we're also you're doing a charity event,
and we're hosting your charity event on our show's Facebook
page on June thirtieth, So that's Tuesday. Tuesday. Yeah, I'm
squinting my eyes to think correctly. So you started this
event that you're doing when you're fifteen years old. So
(01:05:04):
Big Hearts for Big Kids lie from Nashville and said
you are fifteen and you're what sixteen? Yeah? Sixteen. They've
raised over one point nine million dollars of the last
ten years, and because of Corona, they aren't able to
have their usual events, so they're doing a live stream.
Big Hearts Big Kids Lie from Nashville. It is a
live stream event that we're hosting on our Facebook page,
collaborating with Tiniel obviously to help raise money for two organizations,
(01:05:27):
Sunrise House. Tell me about Sunrise House. So, Sunri's House
is the youth shelter in my hometown. So they help
kids ages twelve to seventeen struggling with homelessness. And Girl
Scouts of Middle Tennessee. Yeah, so this is for Troop
six thousand, which is a Girl Scouts troop that gets
together with girls who are without permanent housing, so they
(01:05:49):
are living in and out of sort of those youth
shelters and they get to still get together for Girl Scouts.
So I'm really excited about this event. Thank you for
talking about it. What Troope did you sing Somebody's Daughter with?
I'm telling you that song that you did with the
girl and we may played out. I know that that
version is not on the record here, um, but I'll
(01:06:09):
just be a fan for a second when may play
that in a second. But the version you did with
the Girl Scouts, I mean, every time I think you
push me to the to the edge of emotion, Yeah,
do it. There've only ever been two performances in this
studio that have that have made me have hot eyes.
One was Brothers Osborne when they came in after the
shooting in Las Vegas. And the other one was you
(01:06:31):
when you came in and it was the last time
and when you played Jersey on the Wall and I
heard you played one hundred times in different places and
still every time to you know, what do you need
to me? It's like you're walking onion. You walk in here,
I start watering. Confirmed artists Laurie McKenna love Laurie. I
bet that was cool that she said you'd play Huh.
She's like, she's my old time songwriting here. Also I
(01:06:52):
about lost my mind? Would he reply to the text?
Mickey Guide and Ashley McBride, Lucy Silva's Kaylee hammick More.
Artists to be announced, So two day, seven pm Central,
Big Hearts for Big Kids dot Com and we have
it up on our Facebook page, on the Bobby Bone
Show page and donate if you can. Great causes, great music,
and you're doing it. What are you doing? What are
(01:07:13):
you doing? We are, yes, we're doing it. From the rhymes,
I thought, I don't want to say it, and you'd
be like, no, we're doing it from but yeah, yeah, yeah,
I can't wait. I'm so so thankful we get to
to do it from there and plant the seed for
for Big Hearts in Nashville. This is uh, it's really
special to me with everything going on right now, it
(01:07:33):
means a lot to be able to shed some light
on these kids. Well, you've been working on this album
for a year. I'm glad that it's finally here. One
final question, because anybody that enters candidate now has to
quarantine immediately fourteen days before you can even go out
and about. So does that mean you're not going home
(01:07:53):
for a bit at this point? Yes, Um, still kind
of working out the logistic so if it's going to
make sense to go go see the family this summer,
but um, but yeah, it's definitely making it tricky with
the border. I'm sure grateful for FaceTime. My grandparents are
the best at FaceTime. So grandparents, Yeah, they are. My
ma Mayor is a pretty high tech So that's my Mayor.
(01:08:15):
That's what I call my Grandma's interesting. Yeah, is that
like French? Yeah, like French Canadian slang kind of then
you would have known, but for us to know French. Hey, Raymond,
will you play a clip up track eight? Come as
you Are? This is um Amy's getting a FaceTime right now.
(01:08:35):
I mean I think Raymond, a little bit of come
as you Are and then a little bit of track
nine the way you look tonight there she has. Check
(01:09:02):
out the record the Lemonade Stand Taniel Towns and then
Tuesday night check out her big live show raising money
for the kids in Nashville. So you know, I'm a big,
big old fan before anything else. Thank you. I just
had to do this for me. Yeah, no, this is
just that's a pleasure. Thank you for having me at
Taniel Towns on Instagram and check out our music, check
(01:09:24):
out our charity event and we'll see as soon as
you know. Hi everybody. Hi, here's Mike and Kennedy from
the Woodlands, Texas. Moran. Hey, here's our question. When you
are outside the show, not inside the box that you're
working there, do you call each other by your show names?
Does Morgan number two get called Morgan number two? Does
(01:09:46):
lunchbox get called lunchbox? When you're out socializing or maybe
out on the golf course or out on the lake
or whatever you're doing, do you call Scooba Steve. But
you call him up and say, hey, Scuba Steve, how's
it going. Yeah, in a word, yes, because we would
never be able to remember on the air we live.
We sometimes we don't even know what we say on
(01:10:08):
and off the air because we try to keep it
so consistent. We're like we're talking about on the air
or in real life. Yeah, um, so absolutely. And I
saw two Morgan's in my life, Morgan number one who
was on the show, who works for me in a
different capacity now, so I still have to refer to
them as Morgan one and Morgan two, Lunchbox. Obviously none
of us call him Dan never, Um, Scuba is Scuba
(01:10:29):
I'll refer to Yeah, so yeahn't really say Scuba Steve,
but yeah, yeah, it's usually just he's never Steve. Never
he's either reached out to Scuba Steve or hit Scuba up.
But yeah, we absolutely do. We call each other by
the same name, Bobby, Bobby, Yeah, or you got. Sometimes
you call me step muffin. There was that one time.
That's not me. Thank you for the question. You guys
(01:10:51):
can call us any time. Eight seven, seven seventy seven Bobby,
Joe Exotic Got released from solitary confinement. He was in there, well,
Corviru was locked down. Oh, he has been released from
solitary confinement after a massive letter writing campaign. He was
in because of a corona and he said, hey, thank you,
thank you, thank you. I have a friend who works
(01:11:12):
at a radio show in Detroit and they wrote a
letter to Joe Exotic and he wrote one back to them. Really, huh,
why did you see that? No? Pretty cool? Huh, maybe
you should try to write. Doesn't til Tiger King is
he's Carol's not in jail? No, true, I guess he
has more time on his hear. Dennis Quaid and his
girl got married in a secret ceremony. You mean is she?
(01:11:35):
Is she young? Well? Oh yeah, I don't know if
there's a difference here, but he's sixty six and she's
twenty seven. Yeah. I'm gonna say this though one judge
judge not yet geb judged. Secondly, I met Dennis Quaid
and I was kind of like, I get it. He
was in here in studio with me. We're working out
some stuff, not this show, a different project. And I
(01:11:55):
was like, but he's super quick and funny, and that's
tough sixty six. Is it tough? But still I was like,
I get it, get it. But yeah, they got married
in a secret ceremony. He is hosting a podcast called
The Denissance. Is that what you were doing? Now? We
were doing something together, but I don't know about the Denaissance.
(01:12:17):
World's most expensive super yacht is available for a hire
for a week. If you want this yacht, it costs
you three point seven million dollars just for one week
and it has its own hospital. Oh just in case.
The world's most expensive charter yacht at three point seven
a week, four hundred fifty ft long. It's called a
Flying Fox, which cost about six and twenty one million
(01:12:40):
bucks to build, can take twenty two guests. It needs
a crew of fifty four. That's too many people for Corona. Yeah,
it's a good point. I don't know. It's so big.
And where do you take that bad boy? Across the pond?
Right right off the dock from the boat ram, you
need to stay here in the lake. It's hard to
get those out of the body of water they're put
(01:13:01):
in right yeah, yeah, yeah, yeh's so big. The German
craft of one hundred feet high with six decks it's
on mini submarine station helipad in hospital. It boasts a
two decks center for fun and relaxation, a pool, a gym,
a yoga balcony. There are five tenders, flyboards. I don't
know what some of the stuff is. If you're going
(01:13:21):
to rent it per hour, it's twenty two thousand dollars
an hour, my goodness. But if you want to get
it for a week, which they're kind of saying, hey,
we need it to be rented for a week, three
point seven million dollars. Isn't that insane? True? Then there
are people. Yeah, but that's always weird to me when
there are more bathrooms and bedrooms and houses. Yeah, because
I'm like, you can't just walk to the next bedroom.
You got a bag of piste off in the middle
(01:13:42):
of the blocking bedroom the bedroom. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
I saw that, all right? Check out Bobby sure foss Amy.
President Donald Trump has a golden toilet. Oh true, true? Yeah? Crazy?
You hunt's a real golden No, real gold what's a
(01:14:03):
golden toilet? Crazy? By the way, if you're fourth of July,
vacation plans include New York, New Jersey or Connecticut, you
have to self quarantine once you get there for fourteen days.
If you're from some of these states where it's extra
high in Corona, if you're from Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida,
North and South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Washington, you can't even
go to New York if you don't isolate fourteen days. First,
(01:14:25):
they say, that's how poorly those states have done at
managing Corona. So you go to New York the end,
fourteen days later, we'll see you. Then, last question, should
you kill a spider in your home? We'll think again.
I know that the answers no because the spider eats
other things or something, but I don't care. A spider
(01:14:45):
is important to the ecosystem, even indoor ecosystems, and they
will kill other pests like mosquitos in your house if
they come in. Yeah, but snakes, yeah here with that then,
just don't want a spider. I'm having a plumbing issue
at my house right now, where the hot water is
not coming to something. I don't know. Guy went looked
at it yesterday and was like, hey, your circulation is
(01:15:06):
not right. And I swear to God he says all
these words, and and I act like I know what
he's talking about. And I'm like, yeah, I was thinking
yeah yesterday, I'll just comment to Caitlin how I was like,
then the manifest just isn't on dial up. You check it,
you joint And he's like, so, it's like, do you
think we need to do a full evaluation of them?
And I'm like, yeah, of course I think so too.
She's like, all right, I feel like I would do
(01:15:27):
it myself, but I'm busy. Yeah. Yeah, so you hit
him with it. That's what I was thinking too. Yeah.
So I don't know what they're what they're doing in
my house, but apparently there are a lot of new
stuff going in with the Pulmic because they're just not
hot water in certain sinks. Frustrating. All right, we're done, Amy,
what's up this weekend? Um? Just probably still more organizing
(01:15:49):
and unpacking. But I think I might do something with
Raise Fiance because Raise in Vegas and Caitlin and I
don't know anybody else that might want to. I know, Okay,
what's up with you? Eddie and I are going to
play golf? Oh you are nice. That's probably what we're doing. Well,
you guys are doing that. I don't know what today, tonight, No,
(01:16:10):
think tomorrow, Oh you want to play golf tomor you know,
um yeah, and then there'll be a new Bobby cast
up today. This in a little bit so check it out.
And it's about all new music released this week. We
talked to Charlie Warshaw and we talked to Carbadella, who
writes for USA Today about country music. So check that out.
All right, we'll see you guys tomorrow. By everybody,
