Speaker 1 (00:00):
The best bits of the week with Morgan. It's listener
Q and D time.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
We're Morgan in a show member answer almost all your questions.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
What's up? Everybody? Time for some listener Q and A
action and Abby is joining me. What's up? Abby? Oh?
Speaker 2 (00:15):
What's up?
Speaker 1 (00:17):
We got a shout out? Love you both, Leah and
Pennsylvania Leah and then love you too. Loved when you
talked about your caffeine folders, I had made my own.
I love that.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Oh I didn't.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
Maybe that's my stressort of Abby.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
Probably there we go. That's step one. I haven't even
done that.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
It was from Sadie. Alrighty, so let's get started. Do
you screen voicemails or does somebody else curious about that process?
Gin in Indiana?
Speaker 2 (00:46):
Yep, I do it now. It used to be Scuba,
but it's all me now.
Speaker 1 (00:50):
There's a lot of it.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
Yeah, there's a lot.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
There's some crazy voicemails that come in.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
Yeah, there's the ones that are six minutes. That's a problem.
You got to condense that. That's really hard because he
usually less than thirty seconds is ideal, you know, So
just get like the main point out there. But yeah,
I screen them listen to them all.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
So make them a little bit more concise. People have
to make her job just a little bit easier.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Yes, there's a lot of you know, just wanting to
say hi. I guess I think the good ones are
like asking for advice, love that, or like an update
on the show. Those will definitely get on. Like a
crazy story that happened to you, like winning the lottery,
like I won five million dollars. Yeah, that's gonna get on,
you know, just something that's really different and crazy, because
(01:39):
I wish I could put everybody on, but there's so many,
you know, it's like hundreds a day and I'm like
I can only put five or six on the sheet.
So you know, you just gotta make it.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
It's like how we talk about game shows. You gotta
stand out from the crowd.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
It is. It's like trying to get on the price
is right, but getting on the show.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
And Abby is the where do they call them? They
like standing in front of the doors.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
Was the bodyguard?
Speaker 1 (02:05):
No?
Speaker 2 (02:05):
The bouncer?
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yeah it's not what I was thinking of, but yeah
that works too. Do you still talk to Chuck and
Sammy from Talk to Chuck?
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Eric from Pennsylvania, No, I really don't, but I do
miss that because I was so fun. That was so
fun in my life. It was a fun time because
it was good. It was kind of like being on
a show. Really. I just got to talk to them
for like an hour and we had guests on. It's
really fun. But sometimes I text Sammy like, you know,
happy birthday, or if I'm at a show that she
might be at, or I'll run into her at a
(02:35):
bar and that's really fun but kind of Okay, that's
a good question.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Yeah, what was your first reaction when you found out
that your boyfriend had kids that's from Alyssa and Illinois. Ooh,
that is a really good question.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
So I knew based on the dating app because he
had it in there, like I think he covered their
faces or something, so I knew he had them. And
then on the first day, like he was like, just
you know, I have kids, and what I like, this
is what wanted I can think or moment I love
(03:10):
I'm just kidding, no, but he said he was like,
my kids will be my priority one hundred percent fifty
percent of the time. That did that make sense? Yes,
they will be my yeah, one hundred percent of the time.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Oh, my gosh, they will be my priority one fifty
percent of the time is probably similar, yes, because he
has them half of the time right.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Like, when they are with him, they're going to be
his priority. And I was like, oh, my gosh, I
admire that so much that he was honest with me,
you know, and that is just very attractive a dad
that cares out much about his kids and that he's
going to set those boundaries with someone right away and
know that if I'm not okay with it, that I'm
not the one, you know.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
And I just I really appreciate that.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
Because some people would try to hide it, right, They wouldn't,
you know, they wouldn't even say they.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Have kids, or oh I knew so many that would
never even post it on the dating maps, or they're
somewhere I made it to like a second date and
they're like, oh, by the way, I have a kid,
And I'm like, okay, well I wouldn't have minded if
you were just open about that, but you weren't, so.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Right, Like, he has made it very clear that like
he's proud of his kids and he wants me to
be in their lives and them to be in mine.
And he was just like upfront and honest, and I
was like, oh my gosh, like I appreciate that that
you like love them that much and like how it
works out. I know. Yeah, so just the way he
said it, like he's just excited and he loves them,
(04:32):
and it made me excited to meet them and all that.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
So No, it was so cute. Speaking of kids, Haley
wants to know, does your boyfriend want more kids?
Speaker 2 (04:41):
Yeah, he yeah, he would have them. He always was like, yeah,
he would have them with the right person, Like he
I guess figured he was done, you know, with his
last relationship. But I want them and he said he
would with me, so if I want them.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
And we talked about this, yeah, it last time, so
you can reference that. We got really into it in
part one last time, Abbie was on I think.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
Yes, yeah, I feel like we do. And sometimes I
leave here with like this massive hangover, like kind of
vulnerability hangover.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
Of the things you share.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
Yeah, I don't, just because I just don't much. I'm
just like I've been super private with a lot of things.
I don't. I even am very private on Instagram, Like
it's crazy, I barely post and I look back, I
was like I posted for my birthday, but until then
I hadn't posted till like May, since May, and I'm like,
oh my gosh, like I need to get a little
more out there.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
But it's okay, though, that's not it's not for everyone.
And if every time you have a vulnerability hangover after
like we talk or sure stuff like you know that
that makes sense and that's fair. Yeah. So it is
interesting the job that you're in though, And it is because, like.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
I said, I was private before the show, and I
take so many pictures. I don't know why I don't
post them. You know what I think it is is
I take so many I get overwhelmed. I'm like, oh,
which one's gonna be the first one they need?
Speaker 1 (06:00):
Get a little anxious about it, and you say, never mind
which one should be the cover photo or the first
one that appears on there in all of them, you know.
When that happens. And I have so many, I always
will like send them to my friends and be like,
choose one, which one should be? And whoever whichever one
gets the most like likes from my friends, I'm like, okay,
that's the one.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
What a good idea?
Speaker 1 (06:16):
Yeah, So you can always do that with me and
I'll favorite which ones.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Okay, because I think that's what it is. And then
I'm like, well it's been a week. It's kind of
old now.
Speaker 1 (06:23):
It's never too late to post either. I have friends
who posted of like five months later, so yeah, you
can always post. Okay. That's a beauty about social media
is it doesn't have to be in real time if
you don't want it to be.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
That is very true. It's called Instagram, but it doesn't
have to be.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
It doesn't have to be instant. It does not tell us,
oh gosh, no, you didn't go to Vegas this year,
did you?
Speaker 2 (06:48):
Nope? No I didn't.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
I didn't either. I was in I was in Gatlinburg.
We talked about that on part one. Will you be joining? Well, actually, sorry,
we're gonna take a break, my brain ride. We're gonna
take a break. I'll be right better. Do you feel
like you're feeling calmer when playing easy trivia? This is
from Jamie and Washington.
Speaker 2 (07:10):
Absolutely not.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
I thought that start with it. Absolutely I try.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
I just don't know what it is. It comes over me.
I get nervous. But this week I kind of freaked out,
you know, like I was like black panther, and then
after that when I finally chilled out, I was like,
I did better, so like you just gotta chill Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
It's hard. I trust me. I get testing anxiety, so
I get it.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:37):
My brain goes in eighty million different directions when you
ask me a question on the spot, and I'll be
like that that's not right, but that's what my brain's saying.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
So you know what it is, and you know what
I gotta talk about. Remember when Steve came on and
he did terrible on the first answer and didn't know it,
prime example, because he knows a lot, but it happened
to him. So that was like a good example of
like getting put on the spot whoa well.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
And that's also why I like, you know, I jokingly
argue with Eddie over the intelligence thing because honestly, trivia
is more of a skill to me, Like you could
have the knowledge, but to be able to play trivia
and a fastpaced environment is kind of a skill set
that you learn. It's not as much the knowledge that
you have, Like I have the knowledge as soon as
(08:21):
Bobby says, I'm like I knew that. I just in
that moment couldn't place it because I have anxiety over
how quick things are happening. I don't do quickness. Well.
I'm not a I was never a test taker. I
was never a especially Oh my gosh. I hated comprehensive exams.
It was my worst enemy, Like I sa t those
(08:42):
mortal enemy, because I had to for every test. I
would study so so hard and I would do really well,
and then the moment that that test was taken and
I did a good job, I forgot everything. I only
was able to like retain it for that specific moment
and you asked me again. But then it's like when
we do trivia and you hear one, I'm like, I
knew that that was like way in the back of
(09:03):
my brain, but I couldn't access it. I know, I
learned that. It's just it's weird.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
It is, it's really weird. I mean, yeah, there's sometimes
I'm like, I have no idea, and I feel like
an idiot because I don't know, like the movie.
Speaker 1 (09:14):
We're not an idiot.
Speaker 2 (09:15):
When he says movies are TV shows, I'm like, gosh,
dang it, You've been.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
Doing good with that category recently. Though.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
That crazy, Yeah, kind of lucky.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
Maybe that's because I put you through some movie homework
over the course of Best Bitch years.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
I know, I feel like I always get a Marvel question.
I'm like, okay, Morgan knows this one. I do.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
I do have specialties. You have specialties too, like science? Yeah, yeah,
so science moments.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
That's true.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
Will you be joining the Christmas carolers again this year?
Tori from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Oh, shoot, that's coming up. Oh man, And he did
ask me if I wanted to. It just always gets
so hard because, well, for one thing, I go home,
you know, for Christmas, and that's like that week right
before Christmas is where the majority of the dates are
and so it's like I practice and all this and
then I have to leave and I have to leave them.
So I feel bad. So I don't know, I gotta
I gotta talk about that John who's like the head
(10:05):
of it. He's like, that's okay, we can use you,
you know, any date. But I'm like, I just feel
bad because when I'm like a team member, I want
to be part of the team and not just like
bail right before it. So tv D on that well.
Speaker 1 (10:17):
Again, this also correlates to what we talked about in
part one if you haven't listened to that. But sometimes
you can't make time for you know, stuff like that
when you have other priorities. So and don't add it. Honest,
it's gonna adds rest to your life because you know what,
not worth it?
Speaker 2 (10:31):
Oh my gosh, I know. Seriously, Only say yes when
it doesn't stress. Oh my gosh. That was good. Only
say yes if it doesn't stress.
Speaker 1 (10:40):
That's a good catchphrase, that is, I'm gonna tell you, okay, Oh,
let's see. Did you watch the sum writern Pretty? No?
I didn't.
Speaker 2 (10:50):
I've been seeing it everywhere. Why What was the question?
Speaker 1 (10:53):
It was, just did you watch the sum Ritter pretty?
Because everybody's talking about it. It's like a big pop
culture moment hanging.
Speaker 2 (10:59):
I know because I keep saying the T T wait
T s I T P, like just the the first
every word, and I'm like, let me guess that's the
summer I turn pretty? Is it good?
Speaker 1 (11:15):
It's really good? Yeah, you should watch it. You won't,
but you know it will if it's good. It's three seasons,
ain't no way. No, I can barely get you to
watch one movie.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Sometimes, No, I can do seasons better. Than a movie
because I like things that hook me in.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
Okay, this, I'll hook you. But do you like team dramas? Yeah,
that's in the beach shows. Yeah, when it's like teens
and you're watching like drama play.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
Out, Yeah, I could do it.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
Did you ever watch Friday Night Lights Hill?
Speaker 2 (11:44):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 1 (11:45):
Yeahose are considered team dramas. Okay, so modern but yeah, okay,
I'll try it. What's your next career step goals with
Bobby Bone Show question Mark, Carol Virginia.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
That's the question I ask myself every day, Carol, I
wish I had an answer. What is my My next
one is to put out a song, which I it's
almost the end of the year because I've been trying
to put one out every year because last year it
came out September. The year before it came out September.
And look we're in the almost end of September. There's
(12:17):
not a song out and I haven't written it. So
my next career goal is to get back and focused
on myself. Less yes is to the stressed. I don't
know what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
Yes, yes, yes, say it again.
Speaker 2 (12:30):
Less yes is to the stresses, and it's.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
Like more, what is Ray's less stress, more life.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
I'm gonna put that sticker on my car. Yeah, say less.
I don't even know what I said, but trying to
write more, okay, be more present and God, that's a
hard question because people do ask me that all the time.
They're just like, so, what, like what do you what's next?
Or what's your goal? What do you where do you
see yourself? And I'm like, I really don't know. And
(13:00):
that's that's a problem because people that know go far.
I'm learning that they really have a foot ahead or
they're a step ahead.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
Yeah. But also I think as you get older, priorities
change and life changes, and you come up with things
that are more important than just chasing a goal. You know,
when you're young and you don't have a lot of responsibilities,
it's easy to be like, well that's my dream and
then that's my dream and to do this. But you
had adulting responsibilities, having a relationship, having kids, having all
(13:34):
the things. Life changes a lot. It's hard to just
like be like, okay, well I'm gonna put my foot
in front of this way and like unless you're one
hundred percent sure of that, And that's something you've always
wanted to do and it's necessary. Then it's really hard
to put that one foot down and say I'm gonna
head this way.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
It really is. Yeah, Like I know, people they're like, oh,
I wanted to be a firefighter since I was five,
you know, and then they went and did it. I'm like, man,
I wish I had that. I mean, I knew I
wanted to be a singer, but it's just hard in
this town. I did my anxiety. It just it's kind
of hard. I get when sometimes when I'm up there,
I'm just get nervous, and I'm like, I don't know
(14:10):
if that's something good if you're always nervous at what
you do, Like you look at Laney Wilson and like
Ella Langley and they just kill it, you know. And
it's like when I play the guitar in front of
you guys, I was like my hands were shaking. I
just get nervous.
Speaker 1 (14:23):
There's always a step of layer of trying something new
and doing things that are out of your comfort zone.
But there is also a reality of it should get
more natural and more ease with time. Yeah, but also
you haven't done it.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
A whole lot, I know.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
Yeah, It's hard to say until you've like really consistently
done it, you know, every day for six months. Then
if you're still doing it, yeah, it's probably not the
right fit. Right, That's hard to say.
Speaker 2 (14:48):
And it's different like with the they have a fan
base that just like is there, you know, and like
seeing in front of huge crowds, which I'm better at that.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
They didn't always have that. They didn't, right, they had
to grind to very small audiences, very much animal people
very much a part of that. So it is it is.
It goes back to like you had to love it.
You gotta love it. I've always said that to people,
even people who are like I want to start social media,
I want to be an influencer. I was like, well,
we better love it. It's just like with anything else.
You commit time, you commit energy, you better love it.
(15:17):
That's all I say about anything. Yeah you have to. Yeah,
So all right, that's a good question. All right Stol.
Reflecting on that, Oh gosh, please do not vulnerability hangover.
You're okay you, I'm saying, oh no, we're good for that. Yeah,
good this time? Okay, Yeah, we're great. All right, We're
gonna get out of here. Thanks for joining y and
they can find you where.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
On Instagram at Abby Lee Anderson Hies.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
And you can subscribe to the show's YouTube page at
Bobby Bone Show. And I have a podcast called Take
This Personally. I have a marriage counselor on this week.
She's a psychotherapist, talks all about high conflict couples. And
then by the time you're hearing this, my boyfriend will
officially have episode probably have dropped on Monday.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
My gosh, Oh my gosh. Yeah, rate it right now,
just rate it out of five.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
Loved it, five out of five. I had so much
fun to get that's so cool. I absolutely know that
the show is going to make fun of me though,
so but that was gonna happen regardless of when or
how I did it. So I just, you know, much
like I mentioned last week during part two, I'm done
living in fear. I'm just going to live my life.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
That's good.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
Oh, I want to do it, so you should. Yeah.
So he was on and we had a lot of fun.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
Oh my gosh, I want to hear I'm excited.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
Yeah, and his name gets revealed.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
Whow really, Oh my gosh. There's a lot.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
Yeah, a lot of big moments. We do two episodes,
so we won on Monday one the following Monday. That's
so cool. Yeah, oh my gosh. Okay, I love the
excitement for me. Thank you, Mavy. This is what I
should have been met with on the show.
Speaker 2 (16:46):
You know, I was in the glasroom. That's what I
was doing that in the glathroom. Thank you.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
I appreciate behind my back support. I appreciate. We love that. Okay, Bye, everybody,
