Speaker 1 (00:01):
It's time for the Bobby Bones post show. Here's your host,
Bobby Bone. Do you guys try to get into a
doctor at all lately? No? For anything? No? Why well,
it just takes forever because of COVID still months out,
Like I've got to sleep doctor in December that I

(00:26):
had to set a couple weeks ago because of sleep study.
Have a wrist appointment tomorrow. My wrist, which I've been
complaining about for months at this point. The fact that
it's not broken, you don't have to go to the
emergency room. They're like, yeah, we'll get you into the
bone specialist, and that's finally tomorrow. But it's taking me
almost three months to get in. But it like moves
up and down my wrist, it's into my elbow and

(00:48):
like I was like, it's ten to night us and
then that's what you get for googling things. They'll do that.
But I have a wrist appointment tomorrow. But everything breaks.
That's the difference in age really for me, is that
nothing heals back quickly. Also, COVID doesn't help, which, by
the way, during COVID now in the Morning Show, what
oh yeah, you got the TV show The Morning Show no,

(01:09):
Jennifer Anderston reached by this phone. No, I've been wanting
to because that's on guys, that on HBO. Apple Plus, yeah, Lasso.
Oh yeah, right, there's two shows you're wondering about Apple Plus.
There's two shows you might like, all right, and I
don't know that it's still worth buy getting a subscription
now because I got my free for having a phone
a free for a year though right now, yeah, but

(01:30):
but then I was able to like sample it enough,
but target the target app. If you have that this
they'll give you. There's some way on there you can
get Apple Plus for four months free. Oh well, right,
figures out ways to do everything for free. Remembering YouTube
tv for free because we're stealing from a listener in
Saint Louis. Well, yeah, Jasco, yeah, Jasco. He's back on board.
He said that his family ended up renewing it, so
we're six months we're locked in for free again. You

(01:52):
have it again? Yeah, YouTube tv. He hit me back
after a couple of months, say, hey man, we ended
up doing it. We did the dive and we're doing
YouTube tv again. Let me get your email. Hit him
with it and I get Saint Louis News every night. Cool,
yeah you watch it? No, no, no, I need to
get back into watching it though. Yeah, let us know Okay, yeah,
I know winner on the Powerball. There's another one tonight,
four hundred and m. Hold on, it's grown to six

(02:16):
hundred and seventy million, with a cash value of at
least four hundred and seventy four million if you just
take the money. Geez, it's gonna be more than that.
Once these stories start to be like this, it goes up.
It ill better'd be seven hundred million. You know, when
I play the lottery, like the day after when somebody
wins it and you know it's not you, like it's
a bad feeling, like I think because I think about

(02:37):
it so much. Really, hey, lunch, And I'm dead serious.
Every time I do play the lottery and it's a
big jackpot like that, the whole day, I'm thinking like, gosh,
this could really change my life, like man, I could
really do this, or yeah, I can really spend money
on this, And then after the next day when somebody
else wins it, You're like, oh, I guess it wasn't me,
and I'm ruined. The whole day you're ruined. I'm telling you,

(02:57):
I build myself up so runs for one day. I'm
ruined that I don't like the feelings so much that
I don't even think I'm gonna play the lottery ever again. Okay,
that's good. Ever again. It's like following people on Instagram
that don't make you feel good. Stop following him exactly.
It's like listening to a radio show that pisses you off.
Stop listening to us exactly? Wait us, Well, yeah, sure,
I'd rather you're not complain about it, honestly, rather you

(03:19):
just not listen if you hate it. Okay, Um, Venom
two was out. I don't watch Venom one, but Mike,
we were talking about some of the show that's in
Marvel Universe. Yeah, and Venom is a bad guy. Yeah.
It's not the same Marvel universe as the Avengers. It's
a different Marvel but same kind of comic book characters. Confused, Okay,
but universe Sony Sony has its own universe. Sony has

(03:42):
their own and MCU, which is by Disney, is totally different.
But they're both Marvel, both Marvel. I just want to
how the movie was. You wouldn't like it? No, it's
very silly, it's kind of trying to be like Deadpool
but without all like the violence. But I thought it
was okay, it was better than the first one, but
it was so kind of cheesy and over the top.

(04:03):
Wasn't my favorite Marvel movie. You give it three out
of five chickens, which is a reference to the thing
that Venom needs to stay alive, real chickens. Yeah, he
can either eat humans or chickens. Huh, I get it,
just chickens or humans. Yeah, and chocolate, the Let's keeps
or vegetables. Apparently energy drinks lead to addiction. Do you you

(04:26):
guys see the story in the news? Addiction of the
energy drinker? No addiction of like cocaine? What? Because you
need that feeling? Well? So are you an energy drink person? Yeah?
Once in a while, red Bull, once in a while,
me too. Yeah, I wouldn't say that. I'm like diehard
energy drink. But I'll have one. I've never had a

(04:46):
monster before a show. I'll have one. Like if I'm
gonna do comedy or reging ideas and I need it,
I'll pop one. I'll do five hour energy done that too, Yeah,
I've never done one of that. Yeah, does are good?
According to a new study energy drinks could lead to
cocaine use and alcoholism. Researchers found the people who drank
daily energy drinks while they were younger were more likely
to use cocaine prescription stimulus by age twenty five. They

(05:07):
were also at higher risk of abusing alcohol. Stay away
from those then, Well, no, kids probably, I don't know,
Like my kids never really want energy drinks. Well, they
haven't asked for that yet. I don't think they're as
cool to kids now as they were to us. Yeah,
because when we were kids, it was like you work
out and you have one, you'd see you know, well,
you're right, I do remember. It's like healthy too, Like

(05:28):
the gym would have get your red bull finished. You
work out and get your red bull. It gives you wings. Well,
they still say that, okay, yeah, you're right. Ray has
sent me this segment time and time again. And what
he does he tries to slide in segments that he
sent and he thinks I don't read them. Is that
what it is? No, I just feel like they can
get brought back up if they're timely, if something was

(05:48):
in the news about them, or if I just feel
like it's a good segment. That really should make the show.
But what's timely about Third Eye Blind? Nothing really timely
with that. That was really just I thought it was
absolutely hilarious just to kind of show sometimes not all
DJ or I know you don't like being called a DJ,
but sometimes people on the radio aren't good at People
on the radio ar DJs, but I'm talking about a DJ,

(06:10):
and he just was not good at his job. But
it was so funny I had to share. Nobody else
appreciates it. Tell us the story. Okay, So he was
introing Semi Charmed Life by Semisonic Third Eye Blind, and
in his intro to the song, he ripped on Stephen Jenkins,
the lead singer of Third Eye Blind, right, and then

(06:30):
he also did a low key flex and then he
also ripped on the people that were listening to him
on the show. Who is this? I don't have a clip? Yeah, no, this,
I'm gonna recreate it. Okay, go ahead. So this is
I'm gonna act like on the DJ on this FM
station locally. Go ahead. Yeah, Stephen Jenkins, he's really not
a great guy. He's pretty rough round the edges, tough
to talk to. A lot of people say he's really cold.

(06:51):
I've met him, I've become friends with him, and after
years and years of getting to know him, he's actually
pretty decent. But you guys probably wouldn't ever meet him.
But I had that connection to where I was able
to meet him. But yeah, here's semi charm Life semisonic. Secondly,
you would have posted it perfectly. You heard that on

(07:13):
the radio, dude, we were it was a Saturday night.
We were all die laughing. We're like, did he just
really intro a song like that? Yeah? Really not a
great guy. But here's semi charm Life. Bye, third eye line?
Nice and what does semisonic thing die? Other stuff? Definitely
not other stuff. And good riddens mosying time time intention man.

(07:37):
Yeah yeah that one. Yeah, he goes, oh yeah, that's it.
Um Ray says he has to say goodbye to a
Bobby Bone show artifact. Yeah, is making him a little sad.
So this was one of our best music videos of
all time blurred lines. Yeah, we had to delete it
from you too. Why it was a massive hit. Everybody
loved it. Well, it was an appropriate our own version

(07:59):
of it correct was ours. I can't remember Jared Neeman
saying it. We did a cover of it, Jared Neemans
saying it, and we made a video for it, and
there was some skin in it. Everybody, well what skin?
I was shirtless? Yeah, the guys were shirtless. Okay, but
we switched it like in their video the girls are
topless and shirtless, so the guys are shirtless and our video,

(08:20):
but you can be shirtless just outside. Yeah, but they
weren't just underwear and they're dancing, so what that was?
Hold on? But the guys were wearing what underwear? Yeah? Okay,
the guys one of their boxes in top lest Yeah,
I know. I remember I was in the video. Go ahead,
but I had clothes on? You did? I made sure
I was fit. That's the tannist I've ever been. It
was a great video and now forever it's deleted. Can

(08:41):
you say I know why? Can't you say why? I
want to know why. I think one of a person
that used to work on the show is trying to
get a new job good and it's affecting their new job. Oh, yes,
because it's a I guess, an inappropriate video. I heard
about that and that makes sense, yes, and only because
what their new job is right right right? Scuba called
and was like, hey, so someone so needs a bunch

(09:03):
of videos taking down off YouTube. And I could tell
he was torn because it's the show and that kind
of the history of the show and there was nothing
that anybody's getting in trouble over. And I could tell Scope.
I kind of didn't want to. I don't want to
put words in your mouth, Scuba. Yeah, he's because he

(09:24):
was just protecting the show. Yeah, and with YouTube views,
the company gets paid. We don't get paid for I
don't get paid for YouTube views. But I like for
people to be able to go and watch stuff on
the show sometimes. And he was like hey, But then
he told me what the person's job was they were
trying to get and I was like, yeah, we should probably.
I don't really want to, but we probably should. Yeah,
it makes sense. Do you not know, Eddie, I know exactly.

(09:47):
Everybody knows it. Yeah. Yeah, okay, now I know. I
forgot we were doing a segment last Yes, Morgan, Well,
I will tell Ray. When I took them down, I
just unpublished them, so I still have them. You're not
one four, They're just no longer for anybody else to see,
So Ray, you can have it, Yes, for your mems
so you can watch not mine, but I mean someday
maybe she'll the kids that, yeah, look back on it

(10:09):
when I'm sixteen and just maybe blur that person out.
There is a morning show in Los Angeles. It's hosted
by Ellen Kay, and I've known Ellen for a long time.
But they were taking calls on their request line, and
we were also doing the segment of how did you
get your fifteen Minutes of fame? Remember that? Yeah, because
Eddie shared his story about shooting a meteorite with a

(10:30):
camera and Ellen Kay just doing her show in LA
and she gets a call or calling into our show,
which was bizarre because our numbers aren't even that similar,
right Scuba. What I found out what it was is
he lives in Tampa and their call letters are one
H three five and Coast is one H three five,
so they have a very similar phone number. So he
thought he was calling our show in Tampa, but in

(10:50):
reality called LA show. So wow, he ended up calling
what are the odds? Ellen Kay Show? And so she
answers and here's the call, right, Um, I'm trying to
I'm trying to find I'm trying to call in for
the Bobby Bones though, Oh, Bobby Bones is ours our
he's our colleague, our coworker. So Bobby Bones lives and

(11:12):
works in Nashville, and he his show is on a
different station. You. This is Coast one or three point
five in Los Angeles. I'm ellen, there's Ryan, Hey, how
are you? I'm good? And I love y'all's show, the
three oh one oh three point five, the Bobby Bones Show.
I'm in Tampa. But but the situation I'm having is

(11:33):
Bobby Bone advertised on the radio yesterday if anybody's been
spattered on the front page of the newspaper and had
fifteen minutes the same to call in. All right, I
think he's gonna I think he's gonna be blown away
when he hears all the stories I have. Wells, yeah,
we want to hear what happened, all right? Hit him?

(11:55):
And uh, I'm not sure about all the years, but
when Dick Grecel was mayor of Tampa, I stopped a
car jack and from a guy who was carjacking somebody,
and the guy broke into the mayor's house and I
went into the mayor's house and got him. So they
gave me a full run of the city for that one.

(12:17):
Then the next one, a policeman had his gun taken
away from him when the guy tried to shoot him,
and I took the guy down and took the gun
away from him, and I received a Carnegie Medal of
Honor for that one. Whoa, And another one, okay, another one.
A lady flipped her RV and a retention pond and

(12:37):
it was too dangerous for paramedics to rescue her because
the chuck was on fire. And I ran out there
in the fire and pulled the lady out, and I
received my second Carnie Carnekie Medal of Honor. That's what
it was. Well, now, listen, I just want to say
to you, I just want you to be careful. I
am a mother, I have a son, and I want

(12:59):
you to be careful. So when you go racing into
burning cars and lakes and things like then saving people
and taking taking them down, you just remember that there
are people in this world who love you and who
would miss you if anything happened to you whilst being
a hero. Yeah, that's true. My wife was, so there
you go. Anyway, that's funny, said Katy. Keep talking giving

(13:21):
your story and pretty cool, huh. He kept going. He
did keep going. He got had a lot of instances
he's just running into stuff. Um, all right, I think
that's probably gonna be it. I'm I'm really hungry. Whereod
you the last few notes? Have your researchers found that
the average time working adults wake up is sixteen The

(13:45):
average the average bedtime is ten Yeah, ten thirty ten
fifty seven. Oh wow, it seems a little late, especially
if we're trying to get that eight hours. It'd be
ten fifteen to six fifteen. You know what I said
last week that people were like, Hey, that is not
relatable to me at all. I was talking about gift
cards and this is me just only thinking about my
life and how much I travel. And I was like,

(14:06):
do you know what the best gift card would be?
It's like a Southwest gift cards. You're like, I don't
travel at all. That would not have been a good
gift card for me. I heard them from a ton
of people. Yeah, but remember they would travel. Well that
was my thinking too. But I heard from so many
people like, no, give me a Starbucks card or a
Target card. And I was like, man, why are we
talking about it? Because in the pile I had the

(14:27):
number one gift that people want to give and the
number one gift people want to receive. And it was
a survey down of thousands of people, and the flight
gift cards was something people want to receive. So that
was like, yeah, yeah, you weren't out of them, not
even for a full flight. Yeah, but it's like fifty
bucks because I mean there's well, I got told I
was out of touch because I just traveled so much. No, no, no,

(14:49):
I demand I'm out of touch. I challenge that you're not.
You're not. And I feel like that's something where that
would come in handy if you aren't able to travel.
But if people give you gift card and it's like wow,
you might get to go see family or do something
cool that you otherwise wouldn't get to do. That's like
if you go on a game show and the big
prizes like hey, you get Starbucks because it's more relatable

(15:09):
to you. No, you get like you get a trip
to pairs though, yeah, we'll travel. That's dumb. Well I
felt pretty dumbest. I was like, oh man, maybe I
just have no concept. I travel all the time all
the time, So I guess that's why to me that's
so top of mind. I was like, dang, it's good
to buy me a flight instead of me having to

(15:30):
spend money on it. But I would counter that with
like someone that doesn't get to travel all the time,
if you because of expense, possibly if you give them
a gift card to travel, then they get to travel. Cool.
Favorite game day snacks, chips and PIZZASO flavored popcorn at four,
nachos at three, pizza at two, Yeah, number one wings

(15:54):
wings so good. And finally, try this phrase with your
spouse today, how can I help? Yeah, it's a good one.
Try that with friends. I do. Try that with with
Kaylin Alaba, don't Sometimes I don't say it as perfectly.
I'm like, what do you need me to do? Yeah,
that's that's different. I know, and I mean the same thing,
but I'm like, what do you need me to do?

(16:15):
I'll do whatever you need. What do you need me
to do? I phrase it worse than that, I say,
what do you want from me? It was way worse.
We're just we're falling. It's not good, Eddie. How can
we help you? We need to help you. There on
the Bobby Cast, McKenzie Porter, I think you'll like it.
She's an artist. She has that she's on that song
with Dustin Lynch right now. Um, it's just a really

(16:35):
good interview. She talks about, we're not on the radio show,
so she talks about interview or auditioning for Ship's Creek
the show and then getting a call back and what
role that she almost got. She did the interview, she
did the audition with Dan Dan Dan Levy, Dan Levy Levy. Um,
she talks about that's pretty cool and just she's massive
in Canada and now she's trying to make it in

(16:56):
the States, which is a common thing once they get
big up there. Sometimes they're like, let's go over and
but it's just talking to her manager afterward and he's like, man,
in Canada, she's like superstar. He said, three number ones
in a row, most played country artist in Canada and
top five pop artists played in Canada because her country
song was so big a crossover. But here in the
States she doesn't have a song yet. Crazy he's only
one with Dustin. But I check out the Bobbycast if

(17:18):
you're looking for a new podcast. Otherwise, we are done.
I hope you guys have a great day and we
will see you tomorrow by ye
