Speaker 1 (00:00):
The best bits of the week with Morgan. It's Listener
Q and Daytime. We're Morgan in a show member answer
almost all your questions.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Here we are Listener Q and a Tim. Mike d
is joining me. This weekend was somebody was up, like
I didn't just talk to you for an hour, But
you know, pretend it's a you like you make it,
make it till you make it. Dang, it's hard.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
Okay, we got shout outs to start. This is from Emily.
She says, teeth looking good, Mike, keep smiling. Mike's the best.
I appreciate his vulnerability when he's on with you. That's
from Gin in Southern California.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
I will say about the teeth. I debated whether or
not fixing my other tooth, my other original tooth, because
it adds like a weird chip on it.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
Yeah, but it's character.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
And I was like, I don't want to change it.
Good you should, and all the like pain I went
through to get just these on. I'm like, nah, I'm
not doing that again.
Speaker 2 (00:51):
Yeah, You're like, I'm over all there.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
We could just add a little piece. I'm like, I'm good.
Speaker 3 (00:55):
I will say I did. I don't know what I did,
but I did chip one of my front teeth.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
Have no idea how.
Speaker 1 (01:00):
I don't know that I did chip my tooth. They're like,
did you chip your tooth? I was like, I don't
think I did. I think I would remember that. I
think either it like wore down weirdly because my teeth
are so crooked that it like landed weird on another
tooth and over time it like looks like it's chip.
But I think I would remember like busting my face
and chipping a tooth, and I never did that.
Speaker 3 (01:20):
Yeah, you would think you remember some of it, but
in all fairness, the chip tooth that I had, I
didn't remember.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
But they think I'm crazy because I'm like, I don't
think I did. You don't remember chipping your tooth? I
really don't.
Speaker 3 (01:30):
Oh, you're not crazy. I do think teeth can grow
in all kinds of ways. I'm pretty sure orthodonta should
know that you know coming all forms. But they do
look great and you should keep smiling. So those are
good shout outs. Okay, Sandy and Texas. Is Mike or
his wife as swifty?
Speaker 1 (01:45):
My wife is a huge swifty and I've kind of
adopted it in a way. Just because it's like your
favorite thing to talk about. We went to the Taylor
Swift album release party, and I have I don't not
like Taylor Swift, but I don't actively seek out her music.
But because my wife is such a huge Swifty, I've
(02:07):
listened to every song and I've listened to every new album.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Oh that's so sweet. She indulges you with post Malone exactly,
you indulged herr with Taylor Swift.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
Yeah. We both have our things that were like super
into and we even if they're not our favorite thing,
we kind of like try them out. Like she hates
horror movies, but every now and then I can get
her to watch one very rarely.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
Though I love this. I'm really just picturing like Kelsey
bright shiny things, and you are like dark, mysterious things,
and you guys like swap roles.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Yeah, Like there are some things that I've pulled her
into that she's now a fan of, and there are
some things that like she's kind of got me onto Oka,
And there's some places that we always meet, like we
always meet with superhero movies. That is both like both
of our things even before we were together. And then
like I've adopted the Taylor Swift stuff more where if
(02:59):
she were to come to town, I think I would
go with her.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Okay, yeah, we like this.
Speaker 1 (03:05):
But she's like going to see Jonas brothers and I'm like,
I don't think I could do that one.
Speaker 2 (03:08):
You can go too far. Yeah, there's like.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Some that we can kind of meet in the middle.
There's a band coming to town called Afi that I
want to go see, and like she she's like that
music stresses me out. You can go to that one?
Speaker 2 (03:19):
Is that one of the mosh bad ones?
Speaker 1 (03:20):
Yeah? Okay, So there's like there's this balance that we
have of like there's some things that we meet each
other on and some things that we just realize, like
that's a youth thing, hey, and that's.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
A beautiful marriage.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
I like it.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
What is your favorite game two prep or maybe least favorite?
Speaker 1 (03:34):
I would say least it is probably Easy Trivia, just
because it's hard because there are so many questions and
it's a game that I have to get completely right.
Because any game on this show, any little thing that's
a little bit off where there could be a discrepancy,
is so hard to do. And I think it's the
hardest with Easy Trivia because if you don't write the
(03:55):
question exactly right where there's just one clear answer that
it could be, there be a fight. They would be like, well,
it's technically this Easy Trivia is the hardest because we
play it every week and have been playing it for
so long, and it's hard to come up with new
categories to not do the same questions over and over again. Yeah,
that's the hardest. And also probably riddle me this because
(04:16):
again that ambiguity thing, because they're supposed to be kids riddles,
and technically with some of them there could be multiple answers.
But if you're answering it as an adult, that's the
reason you see it that way. You're asking to get
through a kid. It's like, okay, you're it's a kid's riddle.
Remember that it's supposed to be the easiest thing and
not like, technically it could.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
Be this easy triviaposed to be answer exactly.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
And I think that's what trips people up is because
sometimes the easiest thing seems like, well they can't be that.
Speaker 3 (04:45):
Yeah, those are hard, and you you are right, there
have been multiple flights. So every time we play easy
Trivia or riddle me this, or do you like hold
your breath.
Speaker 1 (04:55):
Yeah, because I mean I fact check them. I go
back and look through them. But every now and then,
once you hear it and then you see somebody else
take it in and it goes away that you weren't expecting,
it's like, oh man, that's where it feels like I
messed up here. But it's one that I just I'll
go back look at all the questions and still sometimes
it's just like, oh crap, I missed that, or oh yeah,
(05:15):
I could see how that could be taken a different way.
Speaker 3 (05:17):
Well you are You're not AI, So that's why we
just roll with it. And your favorite to do, I would.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
Say my favorite that we can't do anymore is music games, Yeah,
because those are always my favorite. Like I love anything
with any kind of isolated vocal or anything. Any music
game I feel like was always the most fun. Yeah,
because I think that brings a good vibe. But yeah,
we can't do those anymore.
Speaker 2 (05:43):
That's such a bummer.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
How long does it take you to come up with
games in trivia each week? That's from Ginny and Indiana.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
Speaking of games, I'd say easy trivia is probably the
thing is now, Like I have like a steady just
giant file with a bunch of easy trivia question that
we don't get to so I'm constantly adding to it.
But I try to come up with anywhere between eight
to ten new categories a week. That probably takes me
(06:09):
a good thirty ish minutes if I'm really creative that week,
probably forty five because lately I've been trying to go,
like really dial into some like specific genre or categories
where it's like I have no idea why this is
a genre, and then you hear the questions and it
makes sense just because I think that's that's fun.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
Well, we had to add a little spice.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
You know, we were getting to the point where the
same thing was happening, so we had to add a
little sprinkle to the fun.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
I like, like it any other games? How long did
those typically?
Speaker 1 (06:37):
Thank you? I would say any other It kind of depends,
like I try to do that stuff earlier in my
day where my brain is like functioning more on like okay,
I'm flowing here. So if I have an idea where
it's so clear cut in my head, it could take
me twenty minutes. If it's something where I'm kind of
like scraping, I'm digging on YouTube trying to find like
weird games from like Australia that they play that we
(07:01):
could adapt here. It could take me an hour, okay,
but I'd say if anything takes me more than an hour,
it's probably not gonna be good.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
Okay, so quickly you know it's gonna be a good one.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
Usually like to really invest time into it. If it's
not flowing within like ten minutes of me working on
the idea, it's probably not gonna be a good game.
I kind of feel like I've learned that from hearing
people talk about like songs, like if it's something that
they're like forced out and like just like not feeling it,
it's probably not gonna be a good song. The best
songs are ones that they say just like fall out
(07:29):
of them. Kind of the same thing with games.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Yeah, yeah, that makes sense, And that's kind of.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
Like the best games I come up with are ones
where I'm like I'm already thinking of the next question
I want to write, and it's like, okay, I'm just
constantly flowing here. This is gonna be good.
Speaker 4 (07:44):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (07:45):
The food is always good for anything creative. If you
have to do anything and you hit a brick wall.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
It's yeah, just throw it out. It's not good. Yeah,
there's so many domes on in like my computer that
I'm like, I've abandoned where You'll see like three questions
and I'm like, either it's a good idea, but not
big enough for a game because if it can't go
like five to seven rounds, it's just not worth it.
And sometimes I'll hit like such a specific thing, but
i have like three questions that are good. I'm like, ah,
(08:10):
I can't use it.
Speaker 3 (08:11):
You like a songwriter that has all their songs and
they're but yours are all just games that have been abandoned.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
You're like, maybe one day I'll come back to that.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
Yeah. I'll sometimes just hear people say random things and
I'm like, I could turn that into a game.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
That's funny. You not have a game break. That's what's
been creative.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
We've been talking about some babies on the show lately,
So does it make you want to start thinking about
being the dad or maybe other things?
Speaker 2 (08:34):
Is from Nancy and North Carolina.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Oddly, it does, I think because seeing more people now
in my thirties have kids and it wasn't an accident,
like changes your perspective on it, because I mean I
came from a county that had like the highest pregnancy
rate in the entire nation, where there were so many
teen pregnancies in our in our town alone that we
(08:59):
had like a nurse. And I think growing up that
kind of changed my perspective on having kids because I
was introduced to it kind of that it was always
an accident and it was seeing how it changed somebody's
life that young, and then over time it has now
changed until now where people are having kids and it's like, oh,
(09:21):
this is a plan thing or it's I have friends
now in their thirties who have struggled having kids and
it's having an entirely different perspective on it. And I
think it's seeing those people become parents that makes it
feel a little bit more I don't know normal is
the word, but just more attainable to me, where I
kind of see that playing into my life now and
(09:44):
seeing that, like I want to experience like life from
somebody else's perspective and all like those new things and
that's kind of a new thing for me.
Speaker 2 (09:55):
Okay, that's exciting. I love it.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
I mean I think it's you know, anytime baby talk
is part of it. It just it makes you start
thinking about a lot of things in your own life
and what you do and what you don't want. So
it's always fun when like a new thing kind of
pops up and you're sitting there thinking like, oh, that's
a new feeling. I'm not sure what that one is
that's had that one before, And it's cool because that
means you're living and all the opportunities you could ever
(10:20):
possibly want are kind of in front of you. It's
kind of the way that I see it, and so
you can go in any direction that you want.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
I think it's just because like what scared me about
having kids is a lot of people just talk about
the negative and it wasn't It's hasn't been into a
really recently where I've seen the benefits of it or
like the bright spots that I feel like sometimes people
don't really sell it to you. And I was like,
why don't you guys talk about that more?
Speaker 2 (10:45):
Yep, all you do here. It's true.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
You hear from a lot of parents where I just
how rough it is, how expensive it is, you know,
all the downfalls of it, But there are there's so
many shining moments of it, but they definitely they don't
get highlighted in real life like they would on social media.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
Put it that way, Yeah, you.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
More hear about all the bad things, and it's fair
because at least it prepares you because you do need
to be prepared for those things.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
I think it's for me, like seeing people have older
kids now, which is weird that like people I grew
up with now have like teenagers, Like that's weird, but
seeing them do things that are now like real human things,
not just like kid things. You're like kids are going
to college and like doing actual things and like making
waves like this is weird. And that's like almost the
(11:32):
end result of all that, like the reward at the
end of like seeing this kid you had now go
on to be an adult in the world and change things.
You don't really see that in the beginning stages.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
Yep, yep, that's very much true. Crazy.
Speaker 3 (11:46):
Okay, well, we're gonna take a quick break and be
right back. Naturally, we have to get into some movie questions.
Every time you know, movie might comes on, we need
the expert. But before we get into the last three,
which are are all movies, jin in North Carolina, she
just got adult braces.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
She wants any pro tips or easy foods to eat.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
Oh, it's the things you have to give up that
are the hardest. You can't eat popcorn, you can't eat nuts,
you can't eat sticky candy, which wasn't the hardest for me.
But it's just the getting over giving up those foods
and realizing that. I guess a good thing about adult
braces is that you're an adult and you know better.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
We have free will.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
Yeah, like we're It was almost like when I went
to get mine and they were telling me all the
things not to do. They're not used to people following
those rules, and I feel like they have to like
get on the kids who come in and like, you
broke this on your braces. You haven't been laying attention
to the rules. I'm like, this is expensive, and this
is taking time out of my day. I'm going to
do everything you tell me to do. I'm gonna wear
(12:49):
my retainer, I'm going to do all the things.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
Yeah, it's kids, you're much more reckless.
Speaker 3 (12:53):
Yeah, you don't know the consequences of your actions, truly.
You know, the consequences are bothering your parents quite have
the impact on you.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
So that's true.
Speaker 3 (13:03):
What were some foods that were easy for you, because
I remember you had a lot of adjustments that were happening.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
Yeah, like the hardest thing for me because I'm not
huge into sweets, but like crunchy snacks. I had to
instead of popcorn, do popcorners, which is like kind of
like a chip version of of popcorn, which is now
like even that I don't have them on I've been
eating them for so long that that's like my go
to snack. And then I used to eat an apple
(13:28):
every day and I stopped doing that really, Yeah, because
you couldn't eat them with braces.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
You could eat apples with braces. You couldn't.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
You couldn't.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
You couldn't eat apple. An apple a day keeps a
doctor away.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
Yeah, I mean, I guess technically you could probably cut
it up. I guess it's not like biting directly into
an apple, but I was so cautious that I was like,
I'm just not going to eat them anymore.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
I guess that makes sense biting into an apple, But
I honestly couldn't tell you the last time I have
like truly bit into an apple like that. I always
use my little cutter that puts them all in slices. Yeah,
I don't think I've eaten an apple since I like
maybe first saw on that's funny, Okay, Favorite five, Try
to let me try this one more time. Favorite Top
five movies of all time from Monster.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
Favorite of all time Top five five. I'm gonna go
Twister because it's the movie i've seen the most. Probably
have seen it one hundred times, not one hundred times
or fifty times, so I've probably added a few.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
Give them five more years, I'll probably up to one hundred.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
Yeah, five is probably Twister. Four. I will go Leelo
and Stitch, my favorite Disney movie of all time.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
I'm assuming the Og, the Og.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
The animated one. Number three, I would probably go the
first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from nineteen ninety. That movie
was highly influential on me as a kid. I got
to go and watch it in theaters for the first time.
This year they did like a re release for the
thirty fifth They at thirty five years old day, that's
an old movie for the thirty anniversary, and and I
(15:01):
got kind of emotional watching that, and it was a
movie I love so much as a kid. Even though
the movie itself really isn't a kid's movie. It's pretty violent.
It's kind of dark because the original comic comic was
like a darker, grittier comic. From one to two, they
really changed the overall tone of the Ninja Turtles. But
that first Ninja Turtles movie is like still one of
(15:23):
my favorites, and I feel like I watched that.
Speaker 2 (15:25):
I don't think i've ever watched it.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
I don't know if it holds up if you're watching
it for the first time.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
What I feel is timeless about it. That I enjoy
is that they use real animatronics for the Turtles, where
it's actual people in suits, but sometimes you kind of
realize it because it'll be it'll look a little bit awkward.
I feel like, if you're not a Ninja Turtles fan,
you probably couldn't watch anything. This is great, okay, even though,
like I feel like they're an underrated comic book franchise
(15:55):
because they're not fully superheroes. They're not fully in that genre.
They're more just like it's a comic book movie.
Speaker 4 (16:00):
Technically, yeah, I mean, well they're turtles doing yea. But
I still see them as superheroes but not It's not
one that you could just hop into.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Now, Okay, all right, I Hay's.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
It's a lot dated, but it's a good fandom, so
that's probably three. A number two, I would go Spider
Man two one with Toby maguire.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
As I say, we got a few Spider Man series, which.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
One spider Man two with Tobe McGuire, which is another
one I just watched in theaters for the first time
because I didn't see that one in theaters whenever it
first came out. I feel like that is the overall
best Spider Man story of all time because you skip
over the origin story, it starts with him already being
Spider Man. I love doc oc and for me, Toby
maguire is my Spider Man, Like that's that's what I
(16:48):
grew up with, like early two thousands. That was the
most exciting to me, and those are always the movies
I associate with, like my Spider Man. Okay, hot take
Spider Man two is up there at the top of
my list on superhero movies, but number one. It's hard
to not put The Dark Knight in number one for me,
(17:09):
and I feel like that has just been my favorite
for so long because it has a little bit of
all my interests, Like it is a superhero movie, but
if you take all those elements out of it, the
story itself is just a good story that Unlike if
I showed you the Ninja Heros movie without being a
superhero fan, you might not enjoy it. If you just
(17:29):
watch The Dark Knight without liking anything Superhero, I think
you could enjoy it.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
I would agree with that The Dark Knight is one
that will hold up for the test of time forever.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
It has the best opening scene of all time, the
best villain. I feel like Christian Bale is overall the
most well rounded Batman. He's not like my favorite Batman,
but when it comes to somebody who both embodies Bruce
Wayne and Batman together, I think that is what he's
the best at.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
Okay, so you say Toby maguire is your spider Man,
Christian Bale is my Batman?
Speaker 1 (18:01):
I would yeah, I could see that.
Speaker 3 (18:03):
I don't mind the other ones that I've seen, but
Christian Bale, he's the one who hooked me. He's the
one who got me invested in the story, invested in
the character, invested in all of it. All the other
ones that they are just like Okay, I like it
because it's Batman. Christian Bale was my He's my Batman.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
I really like Robert Pattinson. Now, yeah, they can ever
finally make the sequel to that movie. I think he
brings an entirely different side of Batman to it. I'm
curious who they're gonna cast as a new Batman because
they're kind of gonna have two storylines going on.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
Yeah, because they might go into a right It's like
James Gunn.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
Now, Yeah, I feel like.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
Eventually stresses me out for that reason. I never know
what they're doing.
Speaker 1 (18:41):
But if I had to give my Batman, I think
I go Michael Keaton from The OG. Okay, just because
like those first two movies Batman and Batman Returns were
very influential on my like taste in superhero movies because
that was back when it was kind of a game
to even put out a superhero movie. They thought the
(19:02):
first one was going to fail. Yeah, and even between
that one having success. I mean, you did have Superman
before that, but that was kind of a bold thing
to do at that time. And I think without those
movies we would never have gotten what we have today.
Speaker 2 (19:16):
That's fair.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
Every I feel like a lot of people will agree
with that. Most people love the Ogs. That just stands
pretty tried and true. Like you, overtime, the ogs are
the nostalgic one. They're the one that got you invested.
They're the one that, like you always kind of.
Speaker 2 (19:30):
Go back to.
Speaker 1 (19:30):
And I think it'll change over time, because right now
the last Star Wars trilogy is seen as like the
worst by everybody, But to some kid who experienced those
for the first time here in ten years, those are
going to be their favorite movies, and then those are
going to have more appreciation, much like we're seeing now
with what happened with the prequel trilogy that came out
(19:52):
late nineties, early two thousands. When those came out, everybody
hated those movies. But now that it's been twenty years
since those, everybody's like, wait, these are actually good. We
love these movies. We grew up with these movies. These
are now celebrated, and all the actors associated with those
movies are like, now like, okay, we got that wrong.
Now they're kind of getting their flowers. I think the
same thing is gonna happen with this last run of them.
Speaker 2 (20:14):
Yeah, that's definitely true.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
I've never really thought of it from that perspective, but
you know, we love to be haters when anything's new
and then.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
Years partially Okay, I was probably pretty harsh on that.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
Does Mike go to see every new movie in theater?
How does he choose which one to stream? Megan, I usually.
Speaker 1 (20:31):
Go see every new movie because I try to pick
the one that I think is going to be the
number one at the box office every week, just because
I think that'd be the most like searched and the
movie people are talking about the most, and I feel
like I have to see that one. And it's usually
pretty easy to tell. Sometimes every now and then you
get a surprise like why am I going to see this?
Speaker 4 (20:50):
View?
Speaker 1 (20:51):
And then when it comes to if I don't have
a chance to see it in theaters, is pretty much
the only reason that I would watch it at home,
unless it's like a straight D movie. Sometimes, Like I mean,
I used to go to the movies three times a week.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
I was gonna say, I think you go a few times,
don't you.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
I'll go Friday to watch the movie I think is
gonna be number one. I'll go Saturday morning. If there's
a movie only I want to watch. If it's like
a horror movie or like a B level movie that
I feel like the most people aren't gonna see, and
maybe it's just for me. I'll go see it then.
And then sometimes I'll go see a second movie on Saturday.
(21:27):
There's It is not uncommon for me to go twice
in a day.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Will you leave and go back or will you just
stay and watch both?
Speaker 1 (21:34):
I will, Yeah, I'll go back. The most I've ever
seen it one day was three, two different theaters, three movies.
Speaker 2 (21:41):
I feel like you, if there's a driving closer, that'd
be really beneficial to you.
Speaker 1 (21:45):
Oh yeah, because I could do the back to bad Yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:46):
You can just stay there and you can bring all
your snack, can do what you want.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
That day, I went in the morning, I watched a
nine to thirty movie, I went home, I ate, I
made it to a one o'clock movie, went back home
an and then we went to like a seven o'clock movie.
Speaker 2 (22:03):
Was that your favorite day that you've ever had?
Speaker 1 (22:05):
It was the best day ever? Dream Like my best
weeks are days where I can see three new movies
in theaters. I feel accomplished after that.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
That I mean accomplished. Also in one day.
Speaker 3 (22:14):
That's crazy, but it's also crazy to me that you
went back and you to just stay there and just
you know, stay with the.
Speaker 2 (22:21):
Okay, last one. We're ending on this.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
Jess wants to know the must watch scary movie this month.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
My go to's are the classics Halloween. The first one
is like my whenever it feels like fall, whenever October
first hits, I have to watch that movie. And I
think it was because back in the day, whenever AMC
had the rights to all the Halloween movies, they would
just show them NonStop. And that is like what I
associate Halloween time with, as I would just put on
(22:50):
AMC and no matter which one they were showing, I
would always watch all the Halloween and Michael Myers movies.
I feel like that's my go to. Okay, if it's
straight up like horror Slasher, that is my must see.
If it's a family friendly one, hocus Pocus.
Speaker 2 (23:05):
Okay, that's my choice. I like hocus Pocus.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
That feels like in the same way, I need to
watch a scary movie that feels like the grade school equivalent,
Like if we didn't watch the during school, it didn't
feel like Halloween to me.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
Yeah, I feel that. Okay, yeah, I love that. See
how happy Halloween, everybody. We're getting into the fun movies.
Speaker 3 (23:27):
I will also add to Mike The's list Halloween Town
for another family friendly one because I like that one.
Speaker 2 (23:32):
Also.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
Also, if you haven't seen Hube Halloween on Netflix, that
one's good. Adam Sadler movie. I feel like that's like
a slow burner classic where it is kind of ridiculous,
but I think it's a good one that has a
lot of rewatchability to it.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
Yeah, I like that one. See. I do like Halloween movies.
It's not like horror movies.
Speaker 3 (23:54):
So if you need the other family friendly suggestions, I'm
pretty sure I've watched all of.
Speaker 1 (23:58):
Thames The Haunted Mansion movie they did, I think it
was in twenty twenty three or maybe twenty twenty two,
the remake of it. Yeah, that one was actually pretty good.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
I watched that one too.
Speaker 4 (24:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (24:07):
See, I told you. If it's a kid movie for Halloween,
I got you.
Speaker 1 (24:11):
Disney family friendly Halloween movies are good. Have you seen
Frank and Weeenie.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
I don't think I've seen franken WEENI. I don't think
i've even seen that one.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
Pop up it is. I think it was like maybe
twenty tens. Okay, is animated.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
Is it with a wiener dog?
Speaker 1 (24:26):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (24:26):
Oh, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
Is it a weirder dog. I know it's a dog.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
It might not be a weird really opportunity if it
was not a weier I'm gonna be honest.
Speaker 1 (24:36):
But it's a good one. And it's it's Tim Burton,
so it's kind of like Claymation spooky okay, but that's
another one of my favorites. I believe it's a remake.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
Though, Okay, I see, Hey, happy.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
Everybody, This is a yeah, family friendly. That's like my
favorite genre of like subgenre of horror, really, the family
friendly one, because it's I feel like horror is the
most versatile genre. Or you can have like family friendly,
you can have like houses haunted movies, you can have
like these different levels of horror. And then I love
(25:07):
the family friendly ones because that feels like, Okay, something
everybody can watch and something in my favorite genre.
Speaker 3 (25:13):
Let's go yeah, okay, see, and that's probably when your
wife will watch with you too, exactly. I like it
