Speaker 1 (00:00):
Bobby bol Amy says she can play a podcasts We not.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Go to jail permission.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
Today is her last episode of four Things with Amy Brown.
Next week it turns over to hold On. Remember that
Feeling Things with Amy? Yeah, but I didn't think that.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
You don't like how I do that?
Speaker 1 (00:24):
No, I do. I like the name of the title,
but you acted like it's super clever.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Well that's how I got there. I like the no.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
I like the title of it, and I think it's
clever of the title. But you were like, see how
feeling things and four Things are almost the same words.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
But if I wasn't chasing the things, I don't know
that I would have come up with feeling things.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
Yeah, our brains are different. But Amy, Amy had sent
me a file and I mentioned yesterday she sent a
file and with the file there was no text, so
there was no context. So I'm not clicking something that's
just an empty file. I never heard it. And what
it was is the theme song to her podcast with
the Lunches next week on the same feed, called Feeling Things,
(01:06):
which almost was called Things.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
That sounds like, yeah, Feeling Things with Amy and Cat.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
I think the other one would be a hit. Thoughing
thing the other one. Sure, I think that would get
a hit. Yeah, okay, Ray would you play the Walker
Hayes sung themed Amy's new podcast, Break It Down.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
If you ever have feelings that, it just falls Amy
and Cat got you coming locking No ladies and felons.
Speaker 4 (01:35):
You just follow an the sphere where it sounds thrown
over real stuff to the chill stuff and the twain.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Sometimes the best thing you can do it just you feel.
This is feeling things with Amy and Cat.
Speaker 5 (01:51):
That's good. That's really good.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
So good.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
Now, did he give you in writing that you could
play that and not get sued?
Speaker 2 (01:58):
I have better than writing I have, and what's.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Better than right? He's here to himself.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
No, he sent me an audio voice text. You have that?
Speaker 1 (02:07):
I do it? Does Ray have that? Okay? Raymond? If
you don't mind playing that?
Speaker 6 (02:12):
Yo?
Speaker 1 (02:12):
Amy?
Speaker 3 (02:13):
Heyes, Walker just sending you this official formal text message
to let you know you have permission to use the
jingle the feel Things jingle in perpetuity.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
No idea what that that word means.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
And honestly, this is the third time I've done this
message because I said the wrong.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
That said the word wrong.
Speaker 3 (02:35):
I said perpetuity and so yeah, you have my perpetuity.
And also Amy, you're you're a you're a actual co writer
on the song, because at the end it was like
it was needing something.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
And you said, hey, just say this is.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Feeling things with Amy and Cat and I mean, I
don't know, that's I mean that's I don't know if
the song would have been as big of a hit
without that sentence. So thanks for thanks for a drop
to thanks for spitting bars boom.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
I'm a co writer and we have permission to use
in perpetuity.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
I like to say a couple of things. First of all,
there's something called a word for a third, which is
what a lot of people do in town. It's a
really someone'ld say, unethical way to be I'm not saying
you did this to be added as a writer on
a song. Let's say that Lunchbox is a wildly successful singer.
He's had a bunch of heads and people are pitching
them songs and he's like, I like this one, but
I want to be known as a writer on it.
(03:32):
So like he inserts the with Lunchbox, Now he's a third,
he owns a third of the writing. Or he's telling
them I'm not gonna cut it unless you give me that.
It feels like you word for a third of him,
except you didn't mean to. And secondly, you're not making
any money off that because it's not loaded on exactly
the streaming Well no, no, not exactly making money well no, no, no,
(03:54):
would help with the taking breath. Everybody with me. Yes,
I'm gonna get to a place here, okay, take us.
Also the fact that he says I don't know what
perpetuity means. That would never ever in court work. If
he was like, I'm not getting paid. Were you like, well,
you said in perpetuity, then go yeah. But also I
didn't know what that meant.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
Oh no, but I have actual Then I have texts
back and forth because I googled perpetuity and copied it
and sent it to him and then he was like oh,
And I said, Walker, I feel like with what you do,
like this is a word and you don't know. So
he's like, I'm gonna start using that. He's like, I'm
about to go into a meeting and I'm going to
draw perpetuity in the meeting. And I was like, have
you posted how it goes? And I was like and
also working in your next song.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
Mmm, it's just you and me forever perpetuity. What does
it means? Yeah, and it means the same thing.
Speaker 5 (04:42):
That's what I would do.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
That's how I do it. But like, it's just you
and me forever perpetuity whatever. I had something like that, Walker,
take that buddy word for third. Put that on your
next song.
Speaker 7 (04:52):
So does a meaned another voice smail voice memo that
says I know what pptuit because.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
I have texts where I send him the definition and
he acknowledged is oh. And then I said, I think
he thought I just typed that up out of nowhere,
and I was like, just so you know, I copied
and pasted that. He goes, oh, thank god. I was like,
either that or she's she was a business major.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
It's like, No, perpetuity is just a word they use
to me forever or until otherwise canceled. I have a
lot of in negotiations. That's one of the things I
fight fights out the word. One of the things that
is often a spot of contention is what is held
(05:32):
in perpetuity or not?
Speaker 2 (05:34):
So it sounds legit.
Speaker 5 (05:35):
It does.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
It's a pretty cool word.
Speaker 5 (05:37):
I know, like marriage is perpetuity.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
Not really, it had to be until it's supposed to be.
Speaker 5 (05:43):
Yeah, it's like you agree on something until you don't.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
It's something that lasts until it does and definitely forever
it's supposed to be. That's the way. That's cool. Though,
good job. Theme songs are cool. You get a good one. Now,
that was a good one. You should put it on. Honestly,
you should maybe not under his name because it doesn't
want to ruin his uh Spotify, iHeart Apple Music streams.
(06:05):
But you could put that up. How well, that's a
whole different thing.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
Put it up in perpetuity.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
No, no, put it up on like a DSP M
the DSP Okay, what do you think that is?
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Love the DSP the digital sound platform close? Yeah, yeah,
digital service platform.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
Pot provider close, any of those. Okay, you can put
it up as uh, you don't have to, but then
when if people listen to it, then you would actually
get paid as a co writer. He'd have to do
it too. You don't have to be a whole thing,
but we have like for example, well Brandon rated the
twenty five Whistles song and I wrote it, but he
(06:47):
did all the music and did all the singing and
sounds hit that one podcast.
Speaker 6 (06:59):
And they whist so yet it's toopid, But what did
you expected to podcast?
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Call twenty five whistles wheel? So then we did the
one for my NFL show with Matt Castle. It's called
Lots to say we.
Speaker 4 (07:19):
Got lost, to say we got lost, to say we're
graduate and.
Speaker 3 (07:29):
We hope you say because.
Speaker 4 (07:31):
We got lost, to say yeah, we got lost, just
say here's Bobby and that.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
What I wanted to do is play that because you
stole that. Here's Bobby and Matt. You stole that, and
I'm gonna be suing her.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
I didn't.
Speaker 1 (07:46):
Yeah, no, I'm taking you to court because when you
did here's Amy and Kat sounds like we're Bobby and
Matt like and uh if uh huh Robin Dick little
millions of dollars burder. Then we're looking at little situation here.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
Well, so if you go back to four Things with
Amy Brown, Walker did that song for me too, and
he did it, and that's how I got the idea
because at the end of that song, he goes, this
is four Things with Amy Brown.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
So I just let him go business feelings, mate.
Speaker 2 (08:17):
Because now I have a Now I have a full time.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
Hello, mister Turney. Yeah yeah, suer for everything everything. So bye,
so oh that stocks okay, bye, that's not you. I
don't know the difference. That's cool though, Like next.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
Week Tuesday April first?
Speaker 1 (08:34):
Are they Tuesday? Still?
Speaker 2 (08:36):
So no, I always had episodes Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
Thursday is the big day.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Well that was on four things, because that's what I'm saying.
So the new way is Tuesday is the bigger day
and Thursday is what we're calling couch talks, which will
be listener Q and A. And since Cat's a therapist,
it's like you're gonna go like you email us and
then it's like you're on the couch and Kat helps
break things down.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
That's a bad day, that's going short up begainto Bobb again.
Oh no, that's like friends and seinfelerw going head to head?
What's about day Tuesdays?
Speaker 2 (09:05):
But but I've always had episodes of hey, whatever, they're
both going to be the same.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
It's both me and now I'm fired up to sooner.
Speaker 5 (09:12):
Call your lawyer back.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
I always fell backwards.
Speaker 5 (09:15):
Call my lawyer.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
Remember bye bye, see wrong person again.
Speaker 2 (09:19):
Hey, Also, Bobby, my podcast like think of it this way.
My podcast is in your network. So if I make
downloads and money, you make downloads and money.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
Fractional, but I hope you make I hope you make
all the money, and then I'm gonna make all that
back when I say you it's also what the cycle
we're in here?
Speaker 2 (09:37):
Okay?
Speaker 5 (09:38):
Cool, cool, I'm the love in the air today.
Speaker 1 (09:40):
Anybody else have the themes?
Speaker 8 (09:41):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (09:42):
Sore Losers? No, no, you do a whole thing.
Speaker 6 (09:44):
Yeah, we just introduced ourselves.
Speaker 1 (09:46):
No things.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
There was fun though, they go, there's music though.
Speaker 6 (09:49):
Made that beat?
Speaker 1 (09:51):
Have a beat? Right? I know I've heard I haven't
heard it. Not only have I heard it in my
ears like listening, I also heard them do it like
in the room and like, did you know they do
the sored Losers. I'm like, I'm very with the whole
process in the contract.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
Yeah, they're also on your network.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
Yes, Ray, you did on garage Band? Yeah yeah yeah.
Are we run out of time or no? Okay no,
we're good for another four minutes hit so you can
hit it if you want about I know you made
that on garage band. That's good.
Speaker 9 (10:18):
Yeah, it's not like a theme song. There's no talking,
so we probably should have done some singing. We just
never did, and it's probably too late. Now you don't
have to. We don't have a Bobbycast theme song. We
just play music and I start talking. Everything's different. I
just enjoy I enjoy both.
Speaker 6 (10:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (10:32):
I may have to get Dodd to do one for
us and get him in perpetuity.
Speaker 6 (10:37):
That's a great idea.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
Everything it just be aware. If you're like, and here's
Ray and lunch, I'm coming after you, guys Morgan, Yeah.
Speaker 8 (10:47):
I have imaging.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
The guy Sykes who does some of ours.
Speaker 8 (10:50):
He created imaging for.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
Me for mine with kind of mute like saying yeah,
it has like a do you want we play it? Yeah? Okay, okay,
it's not a song gi No, Yes, yeah.
Speaker 8 (11:03):
It's not like your guys is imaging. Yeah, take.
Speaker 1 (11:27):
Very close to a theme song except hold on oh
ye bye so trade trade trade Uh the video, I'll
get it. Tell Tesla tell uh yes, okay, Mike differ song.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
No.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
I have Ray doing like a voiceover, like an intro
for me, but not like a theme in perpetuity. How
does that go? It was just a one time deal
of fifty dollars. I wasn't asking business how does it go?
What's wrong? I don't even did you pay for a perpetuity?
Speaker 2 (11:59):
I mean that was it. He probably did it a
long time ago.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
It was a long time ago, probably when I started it,
almost six years ago. Yeah, okay, how does it go?
It's like a movie trailer voice.
Speaker 5 (12:09):
Yeah, oh okay, I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
I usually yeah, he's like, this is movie Mike's movie
podcast in the land where Mike does movie trailers. So
much movie knowledge. He's like a walking IMDb with glasses,
that type of thing. I don't know, Rad, Maybe have
your agent give a call. I mean, fifty bucks for
five years of work. That's averaging like five bucks a year.
Speaker 9 (12:30):
It took me like five seconds a.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
Lot of fives here. I don't know. It sounds. It
sounds like that foreign country slave labor, if you ask me.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
That's the thing about y'all that can just like spit
things out, like Bobby, you write those theme songs, and
Ray just like does that so fast, Like even with Walker,
he did that like in out like so fast, like
I sent him the podcast title description whatever, and then
like an hour later I get that a voice.
Speaker 1 (12:58):
Sma, well you didn't know, as he called me, like
he can I'm out of ideas? Can you sing something?
I said?
Speaker 2 (13:03):
And I was like, I got but y'all, y'all all
like if you have that gift, it just like comes fast.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
All said. Amy's deal. Ch is Tuesday up against the
Bobby Caast. We'll see how it goes.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
Tuesday, April first is also the day that my dad died, So.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
There's no need for that. Wow, there's really no need.
Speaker 5 (13:23):
For That's a thing.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
It's a special that you know.
Speaker 1 (13:26):
There's no no, no, no. Tuesday be first. If you're having
have a list of everybody that's ever died and they
love the Bobbycast, I'd like to celebrate them.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
If you're if you're torn on who to listen to
on Tuesday, then I need your support that day.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
You know what, I respect it.
Speaker 2 (13:40):
I do thank you because April first, April I'll never
forget it because we all just kept joking that we
thought our dad was going to wake up and be
like aprilo, gotcha because we had to unplug him and
he'd be like, gotcha. So but he didn't.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
But then the next day we know we didn't, like spoiler,
he didn't.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
Day is your birthday, Bobby.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
Marvin today Bobby Cast. There's an extra one up with
just Kaitlyn and I for an hour talking about our
trip that you can hear where I was detained by
French authorities and I wasn't able to really talk about it,
and I talked about it in the podcast, but she
I didn't know. She was coming down to the studio
and shared me telling the story and she's like, I
would like to actually tell the real story. So there's
two versions. Mine's the correct one, but it may already
(14:23):
be up. It is up, so you can hear that.
It's the Bobby Cast with Caitlyn and myself. Okay, thank you, Hey.
Amy won a Gracie, another award for Amy as a
solo artist. She's Fergie. Basically, she's Beyonce.
Speaker 5 (14:40):
What what did you win it?
Speaker 6 (14:43):
Or not?
Speaker 2 (14:44):
I did?
Speaker 1 (14:44):
But what is it?
Speaker 6 (14:45):
Gracie?
Speaker 2 (14:47):
It's an award for women in media. It's the Women
in Media Alliance and I won one back in twenty fourteen,
and so eleven years later, I'm getting a different one.
Speaker 6 (14:58):
So what did you wind one for being a woman
in media, being a great woman in media?
Speaker 2 (15:02):
Well, this particular one is for women and I heart
women of iHeart country and the other one, I guess
for thirty eights with the Bobby Bone.
Speaker 6 (15:10):
Show thirty eight.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
That's a long one.
Speaker 6 (15:13):
We were a part of thirty eight. I think we
should have got that. But women of I Heart Country,
you won an award for that show.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
How you did this last time? I won an award
for that show.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
No, okay, before this exact ran, I don't remember.
Speaker 2 (15:27):
Tell me why in the world would she win that
and why she went an awards and we're not winning something,
and say, ok, you're going to change it.
Speaker 6 (15:35):
How long is that show?
Speaker 2 (15:37):
It's a weekend show, but how long does it last on?
It's an hour?
Speaker 6 (15:41):
One hour?
Speaker 2 (15:42):
Yeah, but it's on over two hundred stations, so it's
only on for one hour.
Speaker 6 (15:45):
Yeah, And how much of that show do you write?
Speaker 2 (15:49):
Well, I go over the entire script and make it
my own.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
And Bobby picks the songs.
Speaker 6 (15:55):
And Bobby picks us. So Amy won an award for
this show that Bobby picks us song? And someone right,
So I me just reads it.
Speaker 5 (16:03):
Well, it does take a village.
Speaker 1 (16:04):
Well, you're right, it does. Wait, have it? Didn't you
want to? You've got awards crap by yourself for what
it's a good point. The question himself a CMA.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
We all get the award, right, So when the country
is everybody, I include every I mean Bobby is the
first person I texted and I'm like, hey.
Speaker 1 (16:27):
Got an award to I don't have a vagina, I
don't think. But the last time he checks yes, while
I think that, Okay.
Speaker 2 (16:36):
Well, I'm not a programmer, and neither is Bobby really,
but when it comes to women and I are her country,
it was his idea. So he programs the music. Yeah,
it's a little crazy and Gator.
Speaker 1 (16:47):
Why are you no not any I'm just asking questions
for oh you being a journalist, I understand.
Speaker 6 (16:53):
I'm just from the you know, New England Times.
Speaker 1 (16:56):
Okay, when when do you know when it is? Because
it's really not about single show. It's no one else
that's not capping time. This the Gracie is not so
much about a single show, which the woman by our
Country is. That's a whole different the reason that show exists.
(17:17):
But it's not about Amy hosting that show. Amy has
that one of her vessels, but it's about being a
woman and representing women well in media, being someone who
is able to be an example to other women in media,
someone who it doesn't even matter that she's a woman
that still performs at a level just generally that is
(17:40):
extremely high. So that's what it is.
Speaker 6 (17:42):
But it says it's for that show specifically, Well, that's.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
Somebody somebody in our company submitted under that I didn't
even or.
Speaker 6 (17:51):
For representing men.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
That's every that's every cat, that's everyone, I mean represented
for being men man.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
Something that's been around for fifty years. In fact, I
saw when I saw the announcement go out, I was like, oh,
that's cool. It's the fiftieth anniversary of the awards this
year and something special is back. In twenty fourteen, we
went Bobby introduced me to go up and accept the award,
and then my mom got to be there with me,
and that was like her last trip she ever took
in remembers, was really really, really sick, and then she
(18:22):
ended up passing away earlier later that year, and so
it's really special, like it's a memory for me, and
I think this year, hopefully if it works out and
be able to take my daughter, so it'll sort of
be like last time I was there with my mom,
and then this year I'll be there with my daughter.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
I'm proud of.
Speaker 6 (18:35):
Oh, well, when is it you?
Speaker 9 (18:36):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (18:37):
May twentieth, that's the thing.
Speaker 1 (18:38):
Do you want to introduce her?
Speaker 2 (18:39):
It's a Tuesday.
Speaker 6 (18:40):
Yeah, I mean I may be able to go.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
What an issue that, guys, I'm going to tell you.
And I've at this point in my career, I've been
doing this a long time. Over twenty five years, yeah,
a long time. And we and when I think about
bits just that stick in my head. One of them
(19:05):
was one is me or the show doesn't matter because
it's irrelevant for personality. At the Austin Music Awards and Carlos,
our producer, I lied to him and told him the
dress code was full suit. No, no, no lunch first
(19:30):
of all, lunchbox is a full suit. At dinner, I'm
getting these ruth Yes, we're all in like normal clothes,
and I'm like, if wear a full suit for this
And he shows up in a full suit and we
laugh for hours, like we're going to an awards show.
It's full suit dress code. He shows up in his
dad's suit like vest everything it's I laugh about. There's
(19:50):
like five things I laugh about still. That's one. The
Carlos thing was I wanted him. They're like, you win
the award, said, if we win, you go. Man. I
love this so much. When I'm living my life and
like it's flashing before my eyes, one of my memories
is going to be this. Carlos went up and accepted
the award, and I said, when you go up and
(20:11):
accept the award, here's you know, here's the speech. Just
just like thank everybody, I said, But as soon as
you finished, start over again and do it as many
times over and over again till they come and get
you and take you off stage.
Speaker 5 (20:22):
How many times do you do it?
Speaker 1 (20:23):
Like seven? They were confused, and he gets up and
he's like, I just want to say thank you, and
he goes on and on, and then he just goes
I just want to say thank you. And they don't
know if he's like saying the same thing or if
he's like he about the fourth time, I'm losing it.
I'm in the crowd. I'm hurting. I'm laughing so much.
The lunchbox wear in the suit makes me want to
(20:46):
like cry now. It was so funny.
Speaker 6 (20:48):
I still remember that.
Speaker 10 (20:50):
Carlos doing the this speech over and over again until
they have to pull him off the stage, and then
he has to do without laughing, and he never broke
so funny. I think Lunchbox presenting Amy this would be
a real highlight for me. I'm just gonna be honest
with you.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
I don't think you should let him do it. But
if you did, I think that would go down to
my cherish moments of But I mean.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
I think he would be respectable, Like, what would he
have to do and he gets to say what he wants,
He gets to go up and say whatever he wants
about you. It'd be like, well, what do you think
he would say? Well, I think if he would make it.
Speaker 1 (21:27):
I think if he were the not the character version
he amplifies at times to get attention on this show.
I think if he were the normal person, I think
he would say some nice things about you and hit
you with a couple jokes. But because he knows it'd
be a bit, he'd probably fart. I mean, it'd be
all it'd be girls gone wild on stage and I
would really find joying that. But I don't think you
(21:48):
should let him do it. But man, when I think
about some of those bits like that, those are the
good old days.
Speaker 4 (21:54):
Man.
Speaker 7 (21:55):
I just told someone recently about the time you told
everyone I was a Chilean minor.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
That was another award show. Oh man, all the stuff's
happening in award shows.
Speaker 6 (22:03):
That was that was one of our Like it was
a Christmas concert.
Speaker 1 (22:06):
No, no, no, no, it was an award show. I
had won. It was like a philanthropy award. And Eddie
went and because they've been trapped in the mind and
they were saved. And I went up on stage.
Speaker 5 (22:24):
To he didn't tell me anything.
Speaker 1 (22:27):
He just went up and received I don't even know
that I had planned out, I being honest with you,
probably I just say crap, and I get up and
I'm thanking people. And I asked Eddie to come to
the award. We're sitting its round tables and they're like,
you know, he's doing good stuff for the community, and
I'm like, hey, I don't really want this to be
a about me. Like at our table is one of
the miners who was who was in one of the
(22:48):
Chilean miners who who was stuck and wrisked his life.
Speaker 5 (22:52):
For for like how long, like weeks?
Speaker 1 (22:53):
Right, the people would not stop talking down the whole
night about it, and he had to like he had
to keep an accent.
Speaker 5 (22:58):
So for first off, they was a standing ovation for me.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
Oh my gosh, that was awesome, and then they were
for sixty nine days. Just looked it up.
Speaker 7 (23:07):
And then people would come up to me as I
was sitting at the table and be like, oh, I'm
so proud of you guys, and you know, and one
person asked me, like, what was it like down there?
Speaker 1 (23:16):
He had to stop talking because he didn't want to
because I wasn't gonna even like he wasn't even like
I'm going to be a part of the bit, but
he didn't want to run it. She'd be like, yeah,
they were like, how what was it like down there?
Speaker 5 (23:28):
And I was like, it was cold. It was cold,
so funny.
Speaker 1 (23:36):
That's a great story, stupid man, that's a great story.
And I'm proud of you. That's a great job, and.
Speaker 6 (23:42):
I'm proud of you, Bobby. Script writers, you guys did
a great job.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
I don't write the script.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
He sends me a script and I make it my own.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
No, don't don't let him affect you.
Speaker 2 (23:53):
We get a script for we don't it's not like
a people know like we don't have a script here,
but it's really script. But I'm trying to explain to
people that it's a music show. So you're just setting
up the songs Lunchbox, and then I have two breaks
that I do where I throw in whatever content like
(24:14):
I want to talk about, and I.
Speaker 6 (24:17):
Know how long are those breaks last?
Speaker 1 (24:20):
We stop answering this question. It's not don't Walk down
the Road.
Speaker 2 (24:23):
It's a show that highlights you didn't.
Speaker 1 (24:26):
Win because of that show. That's what you want to know.
Speaker 2 (24:29):
That's what what was nominated for under.
Speaker 7 (24:32):
Well, for the record, you know, I'm not going on
Lunchbox's side here, but when I remember when you've got
the first like I don't know a CM or something
or c m A, it was just you and and
you were like, no, no, no, I want to change everybody's
everyone on this.
Speaker 5 (24:44):
So if you would do that, Amy.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
Like for the Women's Alliance.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
I wouldn't mind being on the award. I mean, it
is my it is my show now that we bring
it up on it's in my contract. So yeah, I like,
who would be small than I? So I think it
could be a girl Bobby bwb I Bobby.
Speaker 2 (25:04):
Well, I don't know how that works.
Speaker 1 (25:05):
You're obviously winning because of that show. You're winning because
of who you are. That's just the way that you're
in media. That's what you do. You're winning because of
who you are. That's what it is. So don't don't
stop answering the questions because he's like, who wrote a script.
That's not why you're winning because of a script. You're
winning because of who you are, what you represent, the
people that you affect. But you need some platform to
(25:28):
be on, to be in this broadcasting world. This alliance,
you kill it. It's awesome.
Speaker 5 (25:35):
Would you at least think them?
Speaker 2 (25:36):
Of course, I think everybody. Last time, when I went
up there for thirty abes, the whole show ever, I mean,
Bobby introduced me, Yeah, this whole speech, and then you
gave me your speech framed. You printed it out and
framed it.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
It's my finest work. I thought you should Yeah, thank you.
I was like, you should really have this. This is
really gonna.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
No, it's thoughtful because my mom was there with me.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
It was because mostly it was things I felt about her,
because it's kind of.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
And it's something we had done for what's kind.
Speaker 1 (26:10):
Of courtistical to be I wrote this, I think you'd
have it. I'm gonna frame it.
Speaker 2 (26:13):
But it was really in there, like talking about my
kids being in Haiti because we were fundraising for Haiti,
and then my mom being there. Like that's why you
printed it out. It's not like you were like, here's
my words on paper and.
Speaker 6 (26:26):
I'm riting my speech in my head right now.
Speaker 1 (26:28):
Well give us a little no, I don't want to
ruin it. I'm gonna do. They announced the nominations for ACMs.
I forgot about this because I did it yesterday. I
recorded part of it. Let's go, so I already know,
so I guess I thought it was yesterday. So that's
all me for not saying it on the show today.
Let's start down a little lower and then we'll kind
of build our way up. I keep going, Let's do Yeah.
(26:49):
Album of the Year Megan Maroney am I Okay, Jelly Roll,
Beautiful Broken, Zachtop, Cold Beer in Country Music, Post Malone,
F one Trillion, Lanie Wilson Whirlwind. It was pretty good.
If I I'm just gonna pick off of my brain,
I have no idea, but it's gonna be. Zach Top
is the hot thing now because he's awesome. But I'm
(27:13):
gonna go. Meghan Maroney and my Okay, I'm gonna pick
my favorite instead of think trying to predict. Even though
I like all these people, I'm gonna go Meghan Maroni
am I okay, all right? Go ahead? Next up, New
Duo a Group of the Year. There's only three. How
can we not get the four? Which is so stupid? Yeah,
except for the Red clay Strays. We sell more tickets
and then and I like these Red Clay Straight They're
(27:36):
not a duo, duover group, New Duo group, Restless Road,
Red clay Strays, Treaty Oak Revival. I like the guys
from Wrestless Road, good good good, not kids anymore, but
young young Red Clayts are freaking awesome.
Speaker 5 (27:51):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (27:52):
Yeah, I gave avoid good hoodies. I'll tell you that
I like them.
Speaker 5 (27:54):
We saw them at them and they didn't respond. No.
Speaker 1 (27:59):
New Male Artists of the Year Gavin Adcock, Shaboozie, Zach
top Tucker, what More, Bailey Zimmerman.
Speaker 6 (28:07):
Bailey Zimmerman's new.
Speaker 1 (28:09):
Yeah. I knew what new means is you've never won before,
got any award. So that's why last yearn thank you.
We were like new artists, best new Artists. And He's like,
I've never wont to. So that's tough because Zach Top
(28:30):
is the trendy pick. He's really good, but he hasn't
had the success as far as like at whatever the
chart success to headlining. Shabboozi has had the biggest song forever,
but he that feels old now. I think that affects it.
(28:50):
But Bailey does too. But I'm gonna I'm gonna go Bailee.
I'm I'm just gonna go Bailey Zimmerman. Also, I love
Bailey as a person, like my dude, I'm gonna go
Baylee the new female artist of your Cassie Ashton, Yeah,
big fan of Cassie Ashley Cook, Dasha, Please God, no
Ella Langley or Jesse Murph. I'm gonna I'm gonna put
(29:14):
Cassie Ashton on Cassie forever. Ella Langley probably wins it
because she had a big hit. Ela Langle probably wins it.
If Dasha wins, I leave all right. Group of the Year,
flat Land Cavalry, Little Big Town, Old Dominion, Rascal Flats,
Red Clay Trays, uh Old Dominion wins that.
Speaker 5 (29:36):
I mean that that would be like a streak, right.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
Yeah, I'm not sure I get the awards confused too,
and I just imagine we're in the industry and I
still get them confused. Yeah, if I'm gonna go pay
to watch a band, it's gonna be Red Clay Strays.
But Old Dominion wins that one. Duo of the Year
Warren Treaty, Muscanine, blood Lined, Dan and Shade Brothers, Osbourne,
Brooks and Done interesting because it's not talent because everybody
(30:04):
has their own different skill and the Warran Trader are
so good and Mascotine Bloodline are so good, but not
as known. As far as I'm not sure who's voting
on these people. It's like radio people all over the world,
all the country, Dani Sham Brothers always one could cancel
each other out. Yeah, I'm going Brooks and dun Due
(30:25):
over the Year. That's also with them yesterday. And also
Ronnie was like, you can wear my suit if you
want to wear it, that's right, don't I don't even
know if I'm going.
Speaker 5 (30:36):
As a man will.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
He gave me a bunch of options. But he's Ronni's
taller than I am. Yeah, he's big guy. Male Artists
of the Year Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll, Christapleton,
Morgan Wallen. You can throw a dart. Yeah, m hmmm,
because I.
Speaker 2 (30:55):
Wonder if that's how they'll pick it.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
I'm not well, basically they'll just add all the you know,
but I'm just that's not even what because I'm never
uncomfortable to have an opinion. I don't have an opinion
on this one because all of them could win and
you go, yeah, of course, duh. There's not even like
an outlier of like somebody who got oh their first
(31:18):
year in. Good for them. That's that's you know, they
won't win, but that that shows are reaching a new level. No,
all five of those people comb's Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll,
Stableton to Wallin. If I'm getting okay, uh Walling just
ticket sales and singles, but they're all awesome.
Speaker 9 (31:38):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
Female Artists of the Year Kelsey Ballerini, Ella Langley, Meghan Maroney,
Casey Musgrave, Laney Wilson. That has to be Laney unless
people are tired of Lanny winning everything, and that happens.
Casey Musgrave is one of my top favorite artsts of
all time, but I don't think she gets it because
(31:59):
she kind of dc AF and like, you know, you
don't want to pick me after you guys respect it.
Uh be cool if she did with Megan Maroney too.
Megan Moroney's awesome like best news. So I think Laney
Wilson probably wins it. If I were picking up on
my own purse, I think Lanny wins it. Yeah, And
then now Entertainer of the Year as of right now,
(32:21):
Laney Wilson, Morgan wall And, Chris Stapleton, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson,
Luke Coombs, Kelsey Vallerini. Wow, Kelsey got done. I'm gonna
go let me eliminate some. I don't think Kelsey wins
this is that what I was talking about earlier. First
time in good good cool. It looks like you've hit
(32:42):
a new place, congratulations, but you don't win it the
first time. So Kelsey out. Laney's won it, and sometimes
that affects it. So I'm gonna I'm gonna take Laney out.
Stapleton's won it.
Speaker 5 (32:57):
A bunch.
Speaker 1 (32:58):
I'm gonna take Stapleton now out. That leaves Luke Combs,
Cody Johnson, Jelly Roll, Morgan Wallen. I think it's gonna
be Jelly Rolling, Morgan Wallen does Morgan Wallan even show
up because I don't think I've seen him in his
last time. And he finally, like a year later, put
out a little video being like oh yeah, thanks, like
(33:21):
and like a carousel like who should win Entertainer of
the Year Morgan Wallen. Yeah, that's a good list. I
mean should who even knows what should means? That doesn't
mean I'm lesser. I'm a fan of any of them,
and I'm much closer to other people on the list
than Morgan. So yeah, there you go. Entertain of the Year.
Good luck everybody. Last the last winners were last year Laney,
(33:47):
and I think that probably hurts her this year if
she won last year. Stabled him before that same thing,
Miranda Luke, Covid, Carrie and Thomas rtt tye them.
Speaker 5 (34:00):
This is the one in Dallas.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
Mm hmm yeah it was Vegas, yes, but not Dallas.
Speaker 1 (34:07):
Frisco RISC Yeah the Star yeahs okay said there's anything
else need to say? Real quick?
Speaker 8 (34:17):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (34:20):
I have a lot, but I just I'm good for now. Okay,
that's it for today. Thank you everybody. Michael, I forget
anything anything, Okay, thank you.
Speaker 6 (34:31):
Should we have the Gracie Award winner take us out.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
Okay, so it.
Speaker 5 (34:39):
Be proud. I mean, don't let him.
Speaker 1 (34:41):
You're you're letting him affect you. You want an award
that you deserved.
Speaker 2 (34:46):
It's just not a big deal.
Speaker 1 (34:47):
It is a big deal. He's making you.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
No, he's not making me like. The whole thing is
just I get it.
Speaker 1 (34:55):
I don't. I don't even want I get it. We're
out here.
Speaker 2 (34:57):
Yeah, we're out of here.
Speaker 1 (34:58):
Thank you. Congrats the congrats, thank you. And now we'll
we'll see you, guys, thinking about everybody.
