Speaker 1 (00:11):
You're listening to the Buck Sexton Show podcast, make sure
you subscribe to the podcast on the iHeartRadio app or
wherever you get your podcasts. Have we just seen the
one hundred best days of Trump all time? Well, certainly possible.
The first one hundred days of the Trump presidency are
in the books, and so far has been absolutely fantastic.
(00:33):
And I want to make the case as to why.
And I think it's important that we all keep in
mind what expectations were, what they should be going forward,
what has been accomplished, and what still needs to be accomplished. First,
here is Trump himself saying, look, it is the best
one hundred days we have seen, and we're.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
Here tonight in the heartland of our nation to celebrate
the most successful first one hundred days of eddy administration
in the history of our country. This is the best
they say one hundred days start of any president in history.
And everyone is saying it with just we've just gotten started.
(01:12):
You haven't even seen anything yet.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
It's yeah, it is the best one hundred days of
any presidency that at least I've ever I've lived through.
And I think you make a case, given all the
things that he's tackled and the amount of really important
subjects that he has decided are going to get his
full attention. Let's just set the table here a little bit.
(01:37):
Trump said that he was going to fix the border,
and he did. When was the last time just start
on that issue? When was the last time you had
a president say I'm going to come into office on
one of the primary problems, challenges, shortcomings of the previous administration.
(01:59):
I'm going to come into office and I'm going to
fix this right away. And it will be fixed. It
won't just be improved, it will be essentially taken off
the table as they made your issue.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
Now.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
I know deportations still are a huge challenge and that
is going to take a lot of time. But securing
our southern border is something that Trump has accomplished right
off the bat. So promise made, promise kept, He said
he would do it, he has done it. I think
that is incredibly significant for any presidential administration. And now,
of course the media wants to just move past this.
(02:32):
I want to spending time on it. Oh, it's not that.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
Big a deal.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
No, it is a big deal, and we should take
a moment and point out what an important success this
has been but also the first hundred days there's the
actions and then there's the focus. The actions that he's taken,
the executive orders, those have all been excellent. He has
done things with executive orders that have changed the game
(02:56):
in a whole range of ways. When it comes to
women being able to have their sports without transgender men
deciding that they're going to compete against women, when it
comes to issues of the border, when it comes to
the usage of the Alien Enemies Act. I mean, there
are so many things that Trump has signed executive orders on,
(03:18):
and there's also the pardons that he signed when he
came into office for j six related individuals, and all
of this I think has just gone to the momentum
and the sense that Trump voters have this guy has
come in in the best possible way with a policy
(03:38):
and executive order blitzkrieg and taking the fight to the
other side. So it has been absolutely spectacular. I give
Trump an a I know, people right now, we'll talk
about this a little more. On the tariffs, there's a lot.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
Of oh, but what about this.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
It's very early, he's working on it. It takes time,
it's a process. But the fact this then gets to
not just actions, but focus the fact that he has
not just talked about how China is a bad actor
when it comes to global trade, but has been to
do something about that. You know, we want politicians. We
(04:14):
want leaders in this country who come into office and
follow through on the promises made during a campaign. Now,
maybe we've become so cynical that our expectation is now, oh,
but nobody really does that. Right, They're supposed to sell
us on something. They're supposed to be the car salesman
who sells us on how great the ride is going
to be, and then as soon as we pull off
the lot, it falls apart. And that's our problem, right,
(04:36):
we bought into it. Not with Trump, he says, I'm
going to deal with trade. Our trade deficits are too big.
China's taking advantage of us. China has gotten very wealthy,
very rapidly, while engaged in all kinds of irresponsible and
let's just say cheating behavior. Right, Stealing anellectual property when
(04:57):
you've agreed, when you're part of WTO and you're part
of other international trade agreements, stealing an ellectual property is
breaking your words, breaking contract essentially. So China's doing stuff
that it shouldn't be doing. And Trump wants to hold
them to account on this, and that means doing things
not when there's an extreme emergency, not waiting for it
(05:18):
all to break, but using the political capital you have
in order to go forward and look forward and to
take the necessary actions. And I think that is what
he is he is doing on this. You know, they're
trying to throw in the mix. Here's Trump talking about
the issue of the polls. And I got to tell you,
I've got a few thoughts on the polls issue. Here's
(05:41):
where we are.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
And that's why we got despite the fake polls. You know,
they do these polls where they interview far more Democrats
than Republish saw them over the last few days and
I had them checked out. They interview far more Democrats
for the polls. They interview Democrats by big numbers and
then Republicans by small They say Trump only has a
(06:04):
forty four percent approval rating. Well, it's actually not bad,
but when you figure that if it were legit, it
would be in the sixties or seventies. These people are
a bunch of crooked people. No, they interview more Democrats
than Republicans. In other words, they take the poll and
they interview democrats, they poll democrats, and then they say
(06:26):
they try and depress it as much, just like they
write bad stories ninety seven percent of the stories written
about me.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Okay, yeah, they do these polls, and he thinks the
polls are rigged, the polls are skewed. It doesn't even
matter right now, He's not running again. The polls are irrelevant.
I don't care. And this is just the way that
Democrats try to create a perception that this presidency is
failing or it's not operating the way that it should.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
Know.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
This is just another indicator for us that he's willing
to spend some political capital, he's willing to do things
that may unsettle the numbers a little bit. Whether you
believe the polls are accurate or not, just put that aside.
Let's say they are accurate, lost a few percentage points.
It's been one hundred days, and this is all about
(07:14):
the tariff issue, mostly, which is still being worked out,
and I think eventually Trump is going to get us
to a much better place on that. So there's a
lot of reason here for tremendous I would argue tremendous enthusiasm,
and I think that's Look, this is why I give
him an A for the first hundred days. I think
(07:35):
he's doing a fantastic job. You know, our sponsor is
Birch Gold. Inflation of this country affects the value of
our dollar. You remember what we suffered through during the
Biden administration with crazy inflation. Now we might see some
temporary inflation this spring and summer while we right size
the tariff situation that Trump is dealing with. How do
you hedge against this economic uncertainty gold buying gold? Consider
(07:58):
using a portion of your savings in four oh one
K and investing it in gold. It's the one commodity
that continues to increase with time, the smartest hedge against
inflation and dollar value fluctuations. If you're concerned about the
value of your saving, get in touch with the people
at Birch Gold Group. That's who I work with. Start
by texting my name Buck to ninety eight ninety eight

kit on gold. Learn how to hold gold and silver
in a tax sheltered account. Birch Gold will help you
convert an existing IRA or four to one K into
a gold IRA for no money out of pocket text
buck to ninety eight, ninety eight, ninety eight today. So yeah,
more more fantastic stuff coming, I think as well. And
(08:39):
this is what this is something else that I believe
is very important, very necessary for Trump to remind everybody
that you know, he's just getting started. This is not
the this is not the end of an administration. This
is the beginning of an administration. And so he's going
to use the time that he has to do the
things that need to be done. And you know, you've
(09:03):
got Mike Johnson saying that there's more done in the
first one hundred days than presidents will do in an
entire administration. I mean, I think people see this that
this is a Trump team that has come in trying
to take on a lot. And look, Doge has shown
a lot of what the spending problems are. Dose has
showing us a lot of what the realities are I
(09:25):
think of government waste, fraud, and abuse. Congress has to
act and Democrats don't want to cut the bad spending,
so this becomes a problem. You need to do something
called recision through Congress, like rescinding, but recision, and it's
not easy to do. And Democrats aren't. They want all
the profligates spending to continue exactly as it has been
(09:49):
up to this point. So remember, it's not just tackling
the system. It's tackling the system while half of the
people in it don't want to change anything. It would
be hard enough, it would be complicated enough if Elon
came forward with all this stuff from DOGE and there
was agreement that we need to stop this. But what
do we do and how does it?
Speaker 3 (10:08):
You know?
Speaker 1 (10:08):
How many people do we keep in the government and
what should you know? Those are all things that would
need to be figured out. It's harder because Democrats don't
want to stop anything, just like they don't want to
deport anybody, which I think is one of the big
revelations that we've already seen from not just people like
me who are very pro Trump and very right wing
(10:29):
and a lot of you, but from the country more broadly.
They can see. Hold on a second, Democrats don't want
anyone to be sent home from this country. They really
don't believe that this is a situation where we should
have a all hands on deck effort to send those
who are in the country illegally out of the country.
In fact, they want them all to stay. You have
(10:49):
to ask why why aren't they on board with us
on this? What really is the reason why aren't they
on board with Elon and doze about cutting spending that
is wasteful or even fraudulent. What is it about Democrats?
In some ways, I think they just don't want to
give our side a win. They don't want to admit
that they're wrong, and that can be a very powerful psychologically,
(11:12):
it's a very powerful factor. People don't like to admit
they're wrong. That's part of it. Part of it as
I think they believe that the country deserves this, and
that they've convinced themselves that even if we spend ourselves
into oblivion and if our open borders slowly eradicate, our polity,
(11:34):
are our political community Union of America, and that's just
the way it has to be. I think they believe
this is what we deserve. So it's pretty scary when
you think about half the country isn't isn't on board
for fixing these problems. They want the problems to persist.
They don't view them as problems, which when you look
at these issues, is just madness. It's utter madness. Look.
(11:56):
Some nations, this is our sponsor Paradigm Press. Some nations
have a nationwide fund called a Sovereign Wealth Fund Japan, Norway,
Saudi Arabia, just to name a few. It's a national
program that many citizens of that country benefit from, and
the nation invests in the development of an asset or
assets like oil. Our nation has never had one, though
some states do, like Texas. In our nation's case, there
(12:17):
are more than a few informed people who believe that
there's an asset worth one hundred and fifty trillion dollars
that has been buried on American soil that could be
the basis for creating such a fund. This endowment, so
to speak, is so large it could pay off our
national debt four times over. Why has it been kept
secret for so long? Well, thanks to a Supreme Court decision,
President Trump could soon release it to the public. Jim
Rickards's former advisor of the White House in the Federal Reserve, says,
(12:39):
if you're over fifty, this could be your best chance
to build lasting wealth from a once in a century event.
To hear more of Jim's thinking, go online to Birthright

(13:00):
great one hundred days of Trump, I guess one hundred
and one days, one hundred two days, depending when you
listen to this, and I am expecting a lot more
as well. And I think that once this gets rolling,
once you see the benefits of the economy that Trump
is going to be able to bring forward, Republicans are
going to have the wind at their backs and things
are going to really get cooking for us. So I'm
excited for it. Stay positive, stay focused, Shields high.
