Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome everybody.
Speaker 2 (00:00):
Wednesday edition of the Clay Travis en Buck Sexton Show
kicks off right now. We have a lot of news
to get to, but the big tragic, breaking news story
of this morning is our first.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
Our first thing we have to discuss.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Here a shooting at a church that was in it's
in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a Catholic church, a shooting there. It
was the school that is attached to this parish that
was having its opening day mass. This is something that
when I was in Catholic school we used to do
(00:36):
as well. You begin the school year with a mass,
and at this the Annunciation Catholic Church, this morning there
was a mass shooting. The students had gathered in this church.
The reports are as follows. There are going to be
updates on this. We will bring you updates as soon
as we have them in real time over the next
three hours of this program. Here's what has been reported
(00:59):
so far are that there are two fatalities from this,
many more wounded taken to local hospitals in Minneapolis. We
don't know the extent of those wounds. The shooter was
shooting through stained glass windows and there could be additional
(01:20):
bullet wounds of those who have been taking these hospitals.
Likely that is the case. They're also though maybe glass
or debris wounds, which would hopefully be considerably less serious
than if anybody was hit by actual gunfire from this shooter.
We know that there are a number of additional injuries,
and we don't know the status of those who have
(01:41):
been taken to those area hospitals. They are being worked
on and treated currently. Press conferences are underway. I just
saw a Mayor Fry of Minneapolis giving a press conference
where he was expressing his condolences to the families.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
I was just going to update. This is just come down.
This is courtesy of Fox News. Let me hit you
with these two details. Literally in the last minute, police
chief confirmed shooter. And we'll play this audio for you.
I just sent it to producer Greg armed with a rifle,
shotgunned and a pistol.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
Quote.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
This was a deliberate act of violence against innocent children.
Sheer cruelty and cowardice of firing into a church full
of children, absolutely incomprehensible. And here is the awful fatality news.
Two young kids eight and ten years old were killed
sitting in the church pews. So that is just announced
(02:38):
by the head of the Minneapolis Police Chief, Brian O'Hara.
And again we'll get you the official audio of that,
but literally in the last minute, that breaking news. So
two innocent kids, eight and a ten year old shot
and killed sitting in the church pews this morning.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
If there is a final circle of hell, who would
shoot children in a church belongs there? This is about
as evil as anything as any act could be. Clay
Also in the news, I'm wondering why they haven't made
this connection, or rather police are not saying they are connected.
(03:19):
But there was a separate mass shooting right next to
a Catholic high school in South Minneapolis yesterday. Seven people
were shot there, one fatally, and the suspect escaped. He
fired thirty rounds from a rifle. So someone fired thirty
rounds from a rifle in South Minneapolis yesterday killed someone,
seven people shot and today at another church setting in
(03:45):
this I think the first one. It was near a
Catholic high school. This case, it's a church that has
a school attached to it, and the students were gathered
for their We used to call it a convocation mass
when I was at a Catholic high school.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
So I would.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
I would think that there's a high likelihood, Clay, that
these are related up but maybe not. Maybe that's why,
Maybe there's details we don't have yet, and that's why
law enforcement is not connecting them.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
But it certainly seems to be the case.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
The shooter is dead, self inflicted gunshot wound, is the
reporter we're getting so far, Which would which which would
under the circumstances often be the case with a mass
shooting like this, The cowardly gunman will take his own
life as soon as he has committed massive carnage and destruction. Clay,
(04:33):
we don't have any information on the shooter yet. I
have been in contact with a couple of reporters who
are friends of the show, who are trying to get
that information from law enforcement asap, just because then we
might get some sense of motive. We know the shooters
all dressed in black. We don't have anything beyond and
the weapons that he had and it was a heat.
(04:55):
Beyond that, I don't think we have any identifying information.
But this is is a reminder of some things that
unfortunately are going to be very There's no answers for
this other than it's incredibly evil.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
And evil exists in the world.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
I think that there is a turning toward church generally
in this country and to the Catholic Church specifically. That
is an incredibly good thing for the nation and a
beautiful thing. I'm among those who has returned, who have
returned to the church in recent years, and really am
a believer and working on my faith. And so you
(05:33):
see this and you think, well.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
We don't know the motive.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
You know, it's tough to get beyond the the reality
of this is just such an evil and heinous thing, and.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
Obviously it seems to be anti Catholic in nature.
Speaker 2 (05:47):
I can't get beyond that description. I don't know, you know, Clay,
is it? Is it someone who is a someone along
the lines of the Nashville school shooter, for example, who's
a anti Catholic, anti traditionalist terrorist. Is an Jihatis?
Speaker 1 (06:04):
We don't know. All we know right now is the
tragedy of the shooting.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
Let's play a couple of these cuts that just have
come in buck from the Minneapolis Police Chief. This is
Brian O'Hara addressing the media. Cut twenty seven.
Speaker 4 (06:19):
During the miss a gunman approached on the outside on
the side of the building and began firing a rifle
through the church windows towards the children sitting in the
pews at the miss shooting through the windows, he struck
children and worshipers that were inside the building. The shooter
was armed with a rifle, a shotgun, and a pistol.
(06:41):
This was a deliberate act of violence against innocent children
and other people worshiping. The sheer cruelty and cowardice firing
into a church full of children is absolutely incomprehensible.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
I would also point this out, Buck, I thought everything
you said was very well articulated. Minneapolis has had a
for a city of its size, a lot of really
awful violent acts. I mean, first of all, the George
Floyd riots we all know, which basically burned down.
Speaker 2 (07:18):
Huge parts race riots that burned down a section of
the downtown.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
Yeah, we just had in the Minneapolis area, if I'm
not mistaken, the guys show up and shoot politicians, and
then we had the massive search for that, and now
we have this shooting, and again there's violence everywhere. But
(07:42):
I would point out I believe Minneapolis, because the police
were so attacked in that community, is still operating at
an unprecedented level of lack of police. In other words,
I think they still need to hire back hundreds of
police officers to be able to do the job there,
(08:03):
and there's been just a cascading series of violent acts
over the last five years. I would just suggest maybe
possibly having not demonized the police and having hundreds of
more police officers there because Buck, as you know, during
the race riot BLM burning down of that city and
(08:24):
many parts of it, a lot of police just said
I'm fed up. Nobody has our back here at all,
and there are massive needs for hiring of police officers.
Here is cut twenty eight. This is awful news, but
I want you to hear it from the police chief.
These were Catholic school kids celebrating morning mass targeted by
(08:46):
the shooter, and the two deaths eight year old and
a ten year old sitting in the church pews.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Listen.
Speaker 4 (08:54):
Two young children, ages eight and ten were killed where
they sat in the pews. Their parents have been notified.
Seventeen other people were injured, fourteen of them being children.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
Two of those chat are in critical condition.
Speaker 4 (09:17):
The coward who fired these shots ultimately took his own
life in the rear of the church. Our hearts are
broken for the families who have lost their children.
Speaker 3 (09:31):
It sounds like, and I know this police officer has
probably seen a lot of awful things in his life.
It sounds like he's struggling. Brian O'Hara there to even
get through having to inform everybody of those details. I
would bet that he's a dad. I know a lot
of dads and moms. Eight and ten year old to
die is just beyond comprehension.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
From copside, I knew on the job in the NYPD,
Clay who had been on for twenty years, the hardest
thing for them was always the bad stuff and the deaths,
sometimes murder use or through something like this, through a
through a gang shooting. The deaths of kids was always
a thing that you know, the cops can't even they
can't even really talk about it.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
They can't go there. It's too upsetting, understandably, but.
Speaker 2 (10:11):
That's something that comes with the job that they carry
and and you see that with law enforcement officers you know,
across the country when they deal with these situations and
unfortunately it comes up and it's something that's that's obviously
hit here. You know, there's there's gonna be I think
a lot of discussion about motive here. Once we know
who the individual is, the much we'll see how much
(10:34):
of this is delayed, because that always tells us a
bit about how the media is trying to frame this issue.
I was just talking to friends of mine here about
the concealed carry.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
Rules in Florida. You can in some religious institutions conceal carry.
I believe you have to get specific.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
Permission though, but in this case, I'm not even sure
how much that would have.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
Look.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
I'm a big i conceal carry. I'm a big concealed
carry advocate. I think it's the only thing that can
reliably reduce violent crime in from a civilians We're talking about,
not what cops can do from a civilian standpoint. But
in this case, the guy walked up to a building
and just started firing into the building. Yeah, you know,
I'm not sure that there would be even reaction time.
And this is also it's in one of these situations
(11:21):
when when parents are going to be finding out, you know,
two families are finding out they're bearing their little boy
little girl. Is the worst thing imaginable. You have kids, Clay,
I have a son. Now, it's like hard to even
think about in process and honestly haunting to even imagine
what the pain is those parents are going through. This
is a situation though if you're asking for it, just
a pure tactical and law enforcement analysis, the fact that
(11:43):
it's not twenty or thirty kids dead is it could
have very easily been that under these circumstances.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
Right. So the shooter here, fortunately, and.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
I know this is a horrific circumstance, but fortunately had
not planned this out with degree of proficiency where the
body count could have been much higher. And I know
that's not any that doesn't comfort any of the families
who have either lost their children or their children have
been gravely wounded in this, but just as a society,
it's a reminder this could have been a lot worse
based on the fact pattern that we know well.
Speaker 3 (12:19):
This happened at the Covenant School here in Nashville, as
you mentioned earlier, and I think religious institutions, sadly, certainly
synagogues and Jewish schools have had to do this, but
a lot of them now have armed security because this,
unfortunately has begun to happen too frequently.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
To your point, when you have somebody there.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
Are synagogues here in South Florida that I know of
specifically are concealed carry friendly and they should be.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
I agree.
Speaker 2 (12:49):
I think that is an excellent decision for those those
let me tell you this. I'm sitting in that I
was just in church on Sunday with carry and the baby.
I want to know there's a you know, a law
abiding American patriot in that in that church who's concealed.
You know, if it's not me, I want somebody to
be concealed carrying in there.
Speaker 3 (13:05):
I've been arguing this for a long time. I mean,
my kids have armed security at their schools. I think
it should be standard to have armed security. Unfortunately because
of where we are and a lot of schools and
unfortunately a lot of religious institutions as well. In this case,
speaking to the facts here, if someone's going to go
(13:25):
up to a building and just start firing a rifle
off through a glass window, now you could say maybe
you know, I'm wondering he did move into the structure
at some point, so I'm not sure at what stage
where the children hit initially, I'm just looking at this
from a security security review security analysis perspective. If the
(13:45):
children were hit when he initially fired in that's going
to be very difficult for anybody, good guy with the gun,
law enforcement officer, anybody to react to beforehand, because he's
just opening fire from a distance. But then if he
entered the facility and continued to shoot, that's where having
somebody can steel carry might have made a difference.
Speaker 2 (14:01):
But I don't know how. You know, this is where
you need to know the timeline. I don't know how
quickly this guy shot himself in the back of the church.
I don't know what exactly happened. We'll find out more
about this, but it's just it's just the most awful thing,
and it's uh, you know, it's tough to play, even
even to be in our This is the one of
those days where to be in the in the world
of talking about the news is emotionally and spiritually challenging, honestly,
(14:26):
because there's no there's no way to make this better
for people, and I wish that there was.
Speaker 3 (14:31):
Yeah, And I think again, from the parent perspective, I
think you're experiencing this now differently as everyone who becomes
a mom and dad is when you hear this story.
I mean, I've got a ten year old, a lot
of you out there have ten year olds, have eight
year olds, have kids, grandkids, And again, I think you
(14:52):
could hear it in the police officer's voice as he's
trying to describe what exactly happened. So we'll continue to
update you on this again. Minneapolis. Two young kids tragically
killed while they were sitting in church pews this morning
by a deranged, lunatic mass shooter in Minneapolis, a city
that has certainly had its share of awfulness. And we'll
(15:16):
also update you on the need to continue to hire
more police officers to do our best to try to
limit all of these different incidents. In the meantime, more
than fifteen million PayPal users have had their online credentials
allegedly stolen by cyber thieves, supposedly credentials now for sale
on the dark web, but PayPal disputes there's been a breach.

Clay, Travison, Buck Sexton mic drops that never sounded so good?
Find them on the free iHeartRadio app or wherever you
get your podcasts.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
Clay, have you heard of the Rio Reset? Sounds like
a trendy new workout, Buck, It.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
Does, but it's actually a big summit going on in Brazil.
The formal name is BRICKS, which stands for Brazil, Russia, India,
China and South Africa. But they've just added five new members.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
Smart move to stick with Bricks. We know what happens
when acronyms don't end. They confuse everyone.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
Well, that's an understatement.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
Bricks is a group of emerging economies hoping to increase
their sway in the global financial order.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
Now that sounds like the plot line of a movie.
I'm listening Philip Patrick, Bruce Wayne. He's a precious metal
specialist and a spokesman for the Birch Gold Group. He's
on the ground in Rio getting the whole low down
on what's going on there.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
Can he give us some inside intel?
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Absolutely, he's been there since day one. In fact, a
major theme at the summit is how bricks nations aim
to reduce reliance on the US dollar in global trade.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
Yikes, that doesn't sound good. We got to get Philip
on the line.
Speaker 2 (17:23):
Stat already did and he left the Clay and Buck
audience this message.
Speaker 6 (17:28):
The world is moving on from the dollar quietly but steadily.
These nations are making real progress towards reshaping global trade,
and the US dollar is no longer the centerpiece. That
shift doesn't happen overnight, but make no mistake, it's already begun.
Speaker 2 (17:46):
Thank you, Philip. Protect the value of your savings account,
your four oh one k r ira, all of them,
by purchasing gold and placing it into those accounts and
reducing your exposure to a declining dollar value. Text my
name Buck to ninety eight ninety eight ninety you get

You can rely on Birch Gold Group as I do,
to give you the information you need to make an
(18:08):
informed decision. One more time, text my name Buck to
ninety eight ninety eight, ninety eight.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
Okay, welcome back in. We are getting more and more
news about the shooter. Try to avoid saying the shooter's name,
because that's what these guys want and sometimes gals, but
they're This guy had a YouTube channel that has since
been taken down, but there are many pictures being taken
(18:36):
and shared online, including of the gun itself on and
it appears that this is another trans shooter, not dissimilar
to what happened at the Covenant School in the Nashville area.
Written on the gun barrel is killed Donald Trump, rip
(19:01):
and tear written on the gun magazine. This is pretty awful.
I'm just sharing with you. Where is your God? Why
so querious? Pretty awful? Carol Markowitz joins us. Now, Carol,
(19:24):
we're trying to avoid sharing this guy's name. I know
you shared it. Of the pictures and everything else, it appears,
based on all the evidence out there, that this is
a Christian targeted shooting by someone who clearly is mentally unstable.
Based on the videos and the pictures out there. What
can you tell us about this individual so far that
(19:45):
you've been able to uncover from your sources.
Speaker 7 (19:49):
You know, it's all developing. And of course it took
a little while for them to clear the building because
it was several buildings. They were worried about being booby trapped.
And so I can tell you that the original name
that I had heard was actually his father's name, because
he had had his father's car. I don't know if
(20:09):
there's a manifesto yet. I see the same rumors that
you guys do, but I haven't had that confirmed yet.
It's a horrible story and it really crushes me to
imagine that somebody had such hate in their hearts for
these Catholic children and school officials that they would do
(20:31):
something like this. And it's a horrible tragedy. I pray
for all the people involved. And there's just no words.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
Carol, how much have you seen that is solid on
the reporting? Again, this goes to motive and motivation for
this also. First of all, is it your belief right now?
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Would you?
Speaker 2 (20:51):
I know, we don't know, but the shooting yesterday and
the shooting today, they're they're the same shooter most likely, right,
Why aren't law enforcement making this connection?
Speaker 7 (21:01):
Yeah, I haven't. I haven't heard about whether that there
is a connection. It seems to me related, but I
don't know for sure. I know that also, you.
Speaker 2 (21:10):
Know, it's just to be clear for everybody. It's two
mass shootings at two Catholic institutions with a with a
semi automatic rifle, I mean in the same area.
Speaker 7 (21:20):
Yeah, and the fact that this connection hasn't been made,
I don't know what to make of that. I'm going
to definitely keep you posted if I hear it of anything.
And you know, these pictures of whether this person was
Trands or not, there's also a question mark there. Definitely
seems seems to be just based on the photos I've seen,
but I also don't have a confirmation of that. I
(21:41):
think as things develop, as a fact develop of this case,
we learn more. Right now, we just have the pictures
of the weapons and the pictures of this individual, and
really things are still very much developing.
Speaker 3 (21:56):
There are pictures out there of this guy at a
gun range firing at an image of Jesus. He had
a YouTube page that has since been removed that has
a manifesto of sorts posted. Clearly this guy is deranged. Carol,
You've been on the front of getting a lot of
(22:18):
these stories out there in terms of figuring out motivation, shooters,
all these different things. What comes next in your experience
of an investigation like this. I presume they had to
wherever his residence is, worry about booby traps, things like that,
to try to figure out what else might be out there.
Is that typically the next step?
Speaker 8 (22:40):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (22:40):
Absolutely. I think that they're likely searching his home right
now and trying to find evidence of motive. And like,
as you guys said, it's clear that this person was
mentally not well. And it's crazy also because a lot
of this is very public, right There's these you know,
the video and the picture of him shooting at the
(23:01):
Jesus Christ picture. All that kind of stuff is out there,
and it's interesting because what are the next steps that
we need to take at a society and when we
come across stuff like this, what should be the next
step when law enforcement gets a tip about somebody being unstable.
I think that that's something that Trump administration can look
at and say, you know, we keep having these tells
(23:24):
of these shooters in advance. What should we do, how
should we handle? That could be a really interesting path
for the Trump administration to take.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
Carol, I appreciate you being with us.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
Incredible reporting that you do in these incidents and to
get the information the facts out there as quickly as possible.
And I mean to me, the longer they delay on
the whether these two incidents are it just seems to
me like law enforcement doesn't I mean, some aspects of this,
they just don't want to get out there quickly. But Carol,
thank you for being with us. You guys know, Carol
has a podcast with us. Thanks Carol. Carol has a
podcast with us, Carol mark Wood Show. Just fantastic work.
(23:58):
Go subscribe to The Plan podcast to hear Carol weekly
and one of the best, honestly, Clay one of the
best breaking news reporters on mass shootings in the country.
And that's not even something that I think she's you know,
she's known for her but that's not her her day
to day job. But she just has incredible law enforcement sources.
She's a huge asset to this program. Clay, let's come
(24:19):
back in and talk more about this. I mean, this
is I think we're going to find that the shootings
are connected, and I think that the trans connection to
this is going to get bigger and bigger.
Speaker 3 (24:29):
Which means that a lot of people are not gonna
want you to hear any of the details that we're
talking about right now. Welcome back in, Clay, Travis buck Sexton,
show a lot of you weighing in awful news coming
out of Minneapolis. And I do think remember when jen
Psaki was supposed to be the star of MSNBC and
(24:51):
she was going to be the Rachel Maddow replacement. You
might be wondering how people are responding on the left
to what has happened to innocent eight and ten year
old kids killed in Minneapolis. Jensaki tweeted, when kids are
getting shot in the pews at a Catholic school mass
(25:13):
and your crime plan is to have National Guard put
mulch down around DC, maybe rethink your strategy.
Speaker 2 (25:22):
She's a moron. I mean, I know she was the
Press secretary of but that means nothing. She's a moron
that that has nothing to do with anything. But what
what does trying to beautify Washington, d C? Have to
do with a left wing trans terrorist who probably watched
MSNBC a lot by the way, just throwing that out there,
killing a bunch of kids in a church like Clay
(25:43):
What how could someone's brain a functional and connect these
two things. I would say she should be ashamed of herself.
But she's an airhead. I mean, she's truly an imbecile.
Speaker 3 (25:53):
A lot of you weighing in, we haven't taken any
reactions yet. Let's hit some of this QQ Joseph in
South Carolina. I think he's actually got a really interesting
and good take. This is ninety four point three in
South Carolina or news radio station there, Joseph, South Carolina.
Speaker 9 (26:12):
I think a lot of his problem is that they
should do something about these doctors performing all this stuff
on these young kids. I know they take bath about
not hurting anybody or you know, and this and destroying
some little kids life form twelve or thirteen or fourteen
years old.
Speaker 8 (26:28):
That's against they're oath.
Speaker 9 (26:30):
I don't understand why they don't lose their license, you
know what is wrong.
Speaker 1 (26:33):
With these people?
Speaker 3 (26:35):
I think he hit on a really, really important story
that I believe is going to grow in significance over
the next decade plus. A lot of these people who
have gotten trans surgeries are still relatively young. I think
that there are going to be lawsuits that bankrupt some
(26:56):
of these doctors, because if you were twelve and you
had your body permanently sterilized by a doctor, you're gonna
suddenly wake up one day at twenty two. You're gonna
have come through puberty. You're gonna be a more knowledgeable adult,
and you're gonna sit back and say, I can't believe
(27:19):
what adults let me do to myself. The fact that
doctors were doing these tops and bottom surgeries that permanently
sterilized young kids when they are minors, I think you're
going to see juries are gonna get some of these cases.
They are going to bankrupt some of these doctors. I'm
(27:40):
just telling you where it's coming, and we're gonna go
back and we're gonna look at this. I really believe,
particularly as it pertains to young kids, as the equivalent
of when so many people were getting lobotomized, uh, and
that was considered to be just kind of standard operating
procedure for doctors. I think this is going to be
it's going to take financial pain raining down on some
(28:04):
of these doctors and hospitals that that made this a
part of their business. And I think it's actually a
really kind of forward thinking comment there.
Speaker 2 (28:13):
Uh, you know, I think about in just in the context.
You know, I was basically a I was a political
science major in college. This will make sense in a
second everyone, But I was really in Islamic studies major
as much as or sort of Islamic history and politics.
I could have been a double major because of all
the classes. And I remember classes I took in both disciplines.
But I remember that when they passed under Zia in Pakistan,
(28:37):
they passed laws the Hodud ordinances. It's like right around
nineteen eighty they passed laws about hand amputation and so
you know, you can cut it like the Quranic punishment
cut off your hand for stealing. One of the problems
they ran into was that actual trained doctors were like,
I'm not going to do that to you know, to
(28:58):
their to their doctor's credit.
Speaker 7 (28:59):
Ye.
Speaker 2 (28:59):
And there's also there's been other instances, you know, the
Malaysian Medical Association, for example, under a similar in one
of the states in Malaysia refused, like the doctors refused
to do the amputations even though the state was mandating
that this would be a punishment they're like, sorry, we
don't you know, we're doctors.
Speaker 1 (29:17):
We don't cut off healthy hands.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
Yeah, and this wasn't that long ago, everybody, right, this
is and roughly speaking in my it was in Clay's lifetime,
roughly speaking in my lifetime. And my point here is,
but doctors in this country are removing healthy breasts or
healthy genitals from people because of feelings.
Speaker 1 (29:35):
Think about this.
Speaker 2 (29:37):
The Pakistani doctors under a dictator who were told get
ready to remove people's hands for Kuranic punishment. We're like, sorry,
not doing it.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
But in this.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
Country you have major medical major medical hospitals are children's
hospitals who are saying, yeah, we're gonna give puberty blockers
and we're going to remove breasts in teenage girls. It's monstrous.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
I don't know what else to say. This is monstrous stuff.
They should not be doing this. I agree. A couple
of callers.
Speaker 3 (30:08):
By the way, let's start with Katie in southern California. Katie,
you say you just dropped your kids off at a
Catholic school this morning.
Speaker 10 (30:17):
Yeah, I did. Kay, It's a t K through eighth
grade school here in southern California. And after I heard
about it, and was getting ready for work and literally
called the security guard at our school and I said, dude,
put your head on a swivel. He already knew about it,
(30:39):
which I'm going to implore parents right now. You need
to get involved. And if you should know, if you
don't have a security guard at your school, you should
demand one is armed. They have a couple of them.
And the first thing I said he said, he actually
said to me, Katie, I know we did hear people
here because I see them. We're in southern California. We
have a homelestop because who have mental problem, mental health issues,
(31:03):
people going up and down the street. And He's like,
I know we've deterred people from coming in here. And
I can only say that it hits home. Those kids
were praying and for the mayor of Minneapolis to come
out and say things like this is not the time
for purs or whatever he said. I'm not going to
(31:24):
say what I said to myself. It was a cuts word.
He can go himself. But at the end of the day,
right now, I can assure you all the Catholics in
my kids school are praying because they know about it,
and any Christian around the world should be and that
is what you do. You pray more and this is
an act. I even told our security guard today, if
you need more resources, you let us know. We will
(31:45):
find the money. And I think more parents need to
get involved in knowing that. And you should know your community,
at a public school or a private school, and that
you demand that somebody is outside at least protecting because
that church more my kids go to to pray when
they have masks, is more fortified than the one probably
that was there today. And I doubt that they had
(32:08):
security guard because that person would have been dead in
about half a second.
Speaker 3 (32:12):
Thank you for the call, Katie. I endorse everything that
she said. I said this right after the Covenant School shooting.
We have armed officers at my public school kids school.
We have armed officers at my older kids private school.
I want every school in America to have armed security
(32:34):
inside of it. I want your kids, my kids, everybody.
I think it's important buck what she just said. I
also think a lot of kids need to learn that
they can trust police officers, especially when they're young, that
police officers are their allies, not their enemies. I think
that having armed security at every school makes sense.
Speaker 1 (32:56):
K to twelve public private, all of them.
Speaker 3 (32:59):
I soundly endorse it, and if your school doesn't, I
would say it's probably worth having conversations about why they don't.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
I mean, you could you could hire right now one
hundred thousand veterans and pay them one hundred thousand dollars
a year. You know, a nice salar. You know that's
it depends where they are. I mean, if you're in
a like Midwestern state, that's a really nice salary. If
you're in you know, some of the major cities, it's
a fine salary. Depends but it's a good living. Right
(33:25):
you're making six figures. It's a good living. And it
cost ten billion dollars. And now I know that's a
lot of money. But for our federal government, I mean
for the money that you're going to tell me what
we spend on public schools. That doesn't have anything to
do with direct safety of kids. Again, I want for
your kids same thing I want for my kids, public private.
(33:45):
I want everybody to have armed security. By the way,
she referenced the mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob frey Fry, I.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
Knew it was going to be a sorry, go ahead,
go ahead.
Speaker 3 (33:57):
Yeah, I was just gonna say we haven't played this
because I'm not surprised. It's the same guy who cried
and got on his knee and wept at the George
Floyd funeral. He said, now is not the time for prayer. Basically,
I think that's what she's referencing, and let's go ahead
and play it for you guys. I didn't want to
play it or early on because it's predictable, and also
(34:17):
I think it actually detracts from the legitimate things we're
talking about. Trying to pray for the innocent victims, the
four kids who had to potentially have surgery at the
Minneapolis Era Hospital. But this is Mayor Jacob frey Fry
right after the shooting.
Speaker 11 (34:34):
Every one of us needs to be wrapping our arms
around these families, giving them every ounce that we can muster.
These were Minneapolis families, these were American families, and the
amount of pain that they are suffering right now is extraordinary.
And don't just say this is about thoughts and prayers
right now. These kids were literally praying. It was the
first week of school, they were in a church. These
(34:57):
are kids that should be learning with their friends. They
should be playing on the playground, they should be able
to go to school or church in peace without the
fear or risk of violence, and their parents should have
the same kind of assurance. These are the sort of
basic assurances every family should have every step of the day,
(35:17):
regardless of where they are in our country.
Speaker 3 (35:21):
Okay, that's different than what I thought we were playing.
He basically said, as part of this discussion, your prayers
effectively don't matter, and that is what many people are
reacting to. And what you know, frankly, is the real
conversation here should be we've got a trans terrorist. How
do we stop this from ever happening again?
Speaker 2 (35:42):
Yeah, I mean the mayor of Minneapolis is a gutlass
little weasel, just putting that out there. We've seen that
for a long time, no surprise. A lot of people
have been harmed, a lot of bad things have happened
because he's a coward who thinks that you know, singing
Kumbaya and everyone holding hands together and doing vigils for
social justice instead of allowing people to be safe, you know,
in their homes and and walking down the streets is important.
(36:04):
But I would just say this, Clay, I knew and
a lot of you knew this too. Look, we don't
want to do that thing here on the show of
throwing out guesses just on the gut feeling.
Speaker 3 (36:14):
But if you have I can tell you this. I
texted set it off air. We set it off air.
Speaker 2 (36:19):
We're like, hey, so we'll say it to each other
because I you know, we don't we don't want to
be we don't want to tell you information that we
have to correct. Ever, that's why we try to be
very precise as the breaking news is coming out. And
then if we're ever wrong, as you know, we'll code
rend ourselves on it and we'll come out.
Speaker 8 (36:35):
You know.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
I mean I got one wrong recently on the economy size.
Speaker 2 (36:38):
I mean, things happened. I'm still sad about it. My
point is, Clay, if you had asked me. I texted
my family this morning. They said who do you think
this is? And or you know, who do you think
is behind this? As soon as I saw I was
a church, it's kids, I'm like, this is a left
wing Lune. This just sent them right away. It just
it just based on what happened here, left wing Luna
immediately went to Coventry. In my head and you and
(36:58):
I were talking, is that this looks like coven'ry looks
like almost a copycat to the Coventry shooting. And what
I can tell you is when the mayor came out
and he was, you know, rending garments and crying and
all emotional about it. I'm not saying that's not the
proper response. It is the proper response. However, if it
had been a situation of a shooting and it was
(37:22):
a white male who was in any way identifiable with
Trump or with you know, guns, militia, whatever and anything
that is right wing coded, he would have come out
sad and then transitioned right away to righteous indignation. Why
hasn't President Trump condemned it? You know, blah blah, you
know exactly, But he didn't. And he didn't because he
(37:44):
already knew that this was a Heshi situation and that's
what we were dealing with.
Speaker 3 (37:50):
That's underd percent right. And a lot of you are
hearing all of this. MSNBC and CNN and the New
York Times and the Washington Post are going to mostly
not cover the trans terrorist angle to this shooting, and
if they can, I tell you what I said, I
think there's going to be actually coverage of it in
(38:11):
this they're not really here's what they're going to do.
Clay and any of you are curious about this, I
want you to, if you can stomach it, check out
like a Prime time just the opening monologues andemus.
Speaker 1 (38:21):
They're going to cover.
Speaker 2 (38:22):
This in a strictly news like, Okay, here's what happened, everybody,
here's what happened.
Speaker 1 (38:27):
Here's what happened.
Speaker 2 (38:28):
And then if there's converse, they're not really going to
do analysis of it, and then tomorrow the analysis will
be on these shows. We have to be on guard
for anti trans violence from the MAGA community. This is
what they do. That is very likely.
Speaker 3 (38:42):
I also think the way they'll cover it is as criticism.
They'll say Trump supporters immediately addressed the trans terrorist connection here,
as if were the ones who are behaving in an
inappropriate fashion, and then you're right, it will lead to you.
But the trans community is actually always the victim, the
(39:04):
real victim.
Speaker 1 (39:05):
The real victims.
Speaker 2 (39:06):
And in the broader sense, they will say the real
victims of MAGA are the trans community, and you'll say,
the victims are the little children who are just shot
by this left wing psychopath who believes in all of
this left wing ideology, including his hatred of Donald Trump,
which is very explicit written on his gun, and the
(39:26):
I'm a terrorist thing, I think is a tip off
that he's a terrorist putting that out there too. All right, look,
this is no way to talk about this other than
a big hard turn. Let's let's let's all shake off
for a second. We're talking about really serious stuff. I'm
taking you to a totally different direction for a minute.
So take a breather, or take a breath, and get

had Clay cooking, but we know, we know that may.
Speaker 1 (40:06):
Not go so well. Clay's not really into the cheffing,
but he doesn't chef it up as much. But Clay
said it was good.

iHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcasts.
Speaker 2 (41:15):
We're joined now by our friend David Rutherford. He's a
former Navy seal and CIA contractor, a combat veteran, and
host of the David Rutherford Show podcast, which is on
the Clay and Buck network and is growing every single
month since we've had him on. As I knew it would,
because more and more of you realize that's a show
you should be listening to. Dave Rutt as I call him, Rutt,
(41:37):
tell me let's start with this. You see this, we
know it's heartbreaking from a security and tactical perspective. This
guy comes into the guy. This guy comes in, he's
firing off rifle a few minutes there. Do you think
that our armed security presence at the church is the
only thing? I mean, how do you assess this in
(41:57):
terms of the security aspects of.
Speaker 8 (42:02):
Well?
Speaker 1 (42:02):
Buck?
Speaker 8 (42:02):
Thanks once. First off, thank you to you and Clay
for having me on. My heart goes out to the families,
to the people who work at the church, and to
the police officers, everybody involved in this, people who work
at the hospitals, and the kids most especially. This is
absolutely preventable. The problem is is it requires a focused
(42:24):
and concerted effort by organizations that are soft targets, like churches,
like schools, and I think, you know, yes, if you
were to have an armed security guard at the front gate,
it would change things. I remember back after the shooting
(42:46):
down here in South Florida a few years back, I
went into my kids' school and I laid it out
for him and I said, here's your actions. You know, One,
you create a fortress, nobody can penetrate the perimeter, which
is incredibly expensive. Do you arm your teachers, your staff,
(43:08):
the people who work there. Or three, which requires a
tremendous amount of training. Or three you hired an arm
security guard, a former cop, a former military, someone that's
got a lot of training, understands, you know, control in
the different levels of threat and how to respond. And
they chose the third one. Put this wonderful guy Aubrey
(43:31):
out in front of the school and all the parents
felt great because the guy's an armed security guard at
the exterior of the school. So yeah, that's the way
you respond to the possibility of these types of things
because they're going to keep happening.
Speaker 3 (43:47):
I agree with everything you just said. We had a
caller from southern California. I believe your name was Katie,
a mom who said, Hey, my kids go to Catholic
school and we've got armed security. My kids have gone
both to public school KA six and then they go
to private school seven to twelve, and we have armed
security at all of their schools.
Speaker 1 (44:06):
Is it a no.
Speaker 3 (44:06):
Brainer to you that as we look at all of
these situations, the reason schools are often attacked is because
they do not have In fact, we know with the
trans shooter, she actually staked out in Nashville the school
in advance to see what she needed to do to
get to those schools and chose a school that did
(44:28):
not have security. Isn't it just a no brainer in
all fifty states that we should have armed security at
every school.
Speaker 8 (44:35):
Absolutely, Clay. I mean, now where we're at, whether you
go to UVOLDI, you go to Audrey Hale, or you
go to Devin Erickson, or you go to all these
Dylan Butler, all these shooters that are coming out, Yeah,
they're picking soft targets for reasons. I mean, I can't
(44:55):
even tell you how many times where we would do
an assessment of a target that we were gonna go
hit or take down or do a snatch. And when
we did the assessment after you know, the we did
a reconnaissance on on the you know, the the place
we were going to hit, and we saw, oh god,
there's two dudes there. They've got all day case, they
(45:16):
don't have kids. I mean, it's like, oh, this is incredible. Well,
it's the same thing that these these you know, demented,
mentally unstable human beings are looking for. They're looking for
soft targets. So it's what it should be. The most
you know, fundamental thing that we predect above all else
in this world, and that's our children. So yeah, one
(45:39):
hundred percent we should have armed guards.
Speaker 2 (45:43):
Speaking to David Rutherford, host of The David Rutherford Show
on the klan Buck podcast Network, hope you have all
had a chance to listen. If you haven't, please go
check it out. You can listen wherever you get your uh,
wherever you get your podcast. The iHeart app is the
best place to start. iHeartRadio app. And David, you know
you're all so, I mean, I know rud very well.
Rubb was a combat medic, so you understand and have
(46:06):
seen gunshot wounds in real life and had to deal
with them. What can you tell us? I mean, I
don't know if you heard, Dave. We played earlier in
the show one of a representative from the hospital who
was saying, we've got four who are in critical and
then we've got a number of others who have been
treated in the hospital, but they are state sorry, how
(46:28):
many plays seven? Seven who are treated but stable in
the hospital. So we those the seven that are stable, right,
that's looking good. Those look like kids, are adults, They're
going to be okay. The four who are critical is
the primary at this point? Is is it just they've
stopped the bleeding? Is is it organ damage and repair
that these doctors are working against the clock to do,
(46:49):
Like what has to happen here that we can get
the best possible news out of this hospital that there
are no more fatalities.
Speaker 8 (46:58):
I think you know the challenges. And I watched the
video that was on YouTube before they pulled it. Uh,
there's a bunch of people posting it right now. So
I went through and he he has a vivid breakdown
of the weapons systems that he brought into it. You know,
he had an ar platform, a shotgun, he had a
night what looked like a nine mil in a thirty
(47:19):
eight that he said he was going to use for
his for his own death if that, if it came
to that. So, I mean when you look at every
one of those calibers, uh, they're all catastrophic injuries if
you hit uh in obviously any any vityls yeah, yeah,
any vitals so like formoral break, your break, the old arteries,
(47:40):
anything like that. But you also have if you have
a like an open sucking chess wound, and you know,
a penetration penetrating trauma to the thoracic cavity, you know.
And the challenge is is you have first responders who
show up who don't have any medical training. So it
just being able to tain bleeding out like direct pressure,
(48:04):
uh probably you know, if if cops are first responders,
thank god, they'll have tourniquits on their kits. And then
but you know, the other ones that are difficult are
that penetrating trauma to the chest because then all of
a sudden you can go into a tension new mohemo
thorax where that you know that your lung collapses from
(48:25):
you know, the thoracic capity filling with blood. And the
problem with those is typically most patients adults, adult men
that I've seen have suffered from those injuries. They they
can resist, but kids, kids crash fast, especially with these
types of catastrophic injuries. So that's the real concern I
(48:46):
would have as a combat medic. Shut showing up is one, absolutely,
you know, triaging who has the worst injuries, stopping blood
and then really fixating on on airway right, making sure
they're perfusing oxygen in the best possible way. But yeah,
you know, regardless.
Speaker 2 (49:05):
So so this but the seven who are stable, rut,
they're going to be okay. It's those four that we're
praying for who are still critical.
Speaker 8 (49:11):
Right, maybe they could have they could have they could
you know, let's say it it grazed their liver or
their kidneys or their stomach. You know, post infection from
operations is a significance.
Speaker 2 (49:25):
Okay, So there's additional So there's additional concern. So we
got to have prayers up for every single person who's
been treated in that hospital meeting that no one's no
one's out of the woods totally yet.
Speaker 1 (49:34):
For me, also, it's.
Speaker 8 (49:35):
Like you're you're you're only okay when you're okay, right,
Because the nature of gunshot injuries can can is really
difficult to know and tell you're all the way through
and you're through recovery.
Speaker 3 (49:49):
A couple of other details that are coming out. Let
me hit you guys with this. It's looking more and
more like a Covenant school shooting situation. Reports that this
shooter that his mom was a former employee at the school,
so there was a connection potentially from this transhooter, as
the prior transhooter also had a connection to the religious
(50:12):
school that she shot up. Appears this guy may have
also done it, and we mentioned this before, but I
just want to reiterate. Court documents show that when this
person was seventeen years old, he legally changed his name
from male to female and began to identify as a woman,
so as a minor for people out there, as a miner,
(50:36):
this individual who went on to shoot up the school
was deciding to identify as a different as a different gender.
So this was happening again in youth and person I
think is twenty two years old. Now what should we do?
Rother I, Bucke and I both are of the opinion,
and I understand we're probably going to get attacked to
(50:57):
the high heavens for this, But I think Buck said
it well, where if someone has bulimia, you don't tell
them they look great and they should continue to not
eat if.
Speaker 2 (51:06):
You are that's area bolinia is throwing up. But yes, similarly, okay.
Speaker 3 (51:10):
I'm thankfully not an expert in the in the eating
disorder universe, but you don't reinforce the health condition and
the mental illness when you say, hey, yes, you are
an actual girl or you're an actual boy. Aren't we
just creating in conjunction with all of these drugs that
were pumping into people's bodies during this a recipe for
(51:32):
disaster after disaster?
Speaker 1 (51:35):
One percent.
Speaker 8 (51:36):
Absolutely. I think what we've categorically proven over the last
you know, all the way back to Columbine, is that many, many, many,
many children, thousands and thousands, tens of thousands of children
are being medicated at early ages right much less you know,
the hormone blockers and the stuff that's going on with
(51:57):
that type of madness out there for these young kids.
What's interesting is when I read the pages from his manifesto,
he was very complimentary to his parents. You didn't do
anything wrong. This is just me, you know. He even
told his siblings, I'm sorry what I'm going to do
(52:17):
to your life, you know. But the Keia, you know,
is the last piece on that that that manifesto for me,
and it says, you know, PPS, he does a ps
to his siblings, get you know, get over the argument
with your mom and you. Then he goes to PPS
and he goes I wouldn't recommend any of you to
(52:39):
read my journals, Comma unless you really want to Comma,
but be warned so you know, there is a mental
health reality to this individual that goes way before twenty seventeen.
And I'm sure if we if if a psychologist or
(53:01):
a forensic psychologist or whoever criminal psychologist goes and we
look at the profile of these journals and these other manifestos,
you see a fundamentally broken human being that no longer
is able to concoct a reason for living. And he
actually says this in the earlier pages of that, I
(53:23):
hate how painful life is. I don't find a reason
for shooting. And then when you watch the video of
him walking around, it is it's homicidal in nature, right,
there's an underlying concurrent like there's pleasure that he's going
to receive from this final act of his you know,
very problematic and confused life.
Speaker 2 (53:44):
David Rutherford, go everyone check out the David Rutherford podcast.
Former Navy seal and a good friend of ours, Dave Rutt,
appreciate you being with us.
Speaker 1 (53:53):
Man. We'll talk to you again soon.
Speaker 8 (53:55):
Thank you, God bless you.
Speaker 1 (53:56):
Jents you too.
Speaker 2 (53:58):
Look, it wasn't even a year ago that there was
a dementia puppet in the White House who had given
up when it comes to the AI race and figured
we'll let other people take the lead. Well, thankfully, the
Trump administration has taken the stance that the AI race
is critical to our future. Trump Jesus is a crucial
technology for Americans, for businesses in this country, for our
(54:20):
defense capabilities, all of it. And he has identified a
White House AI and cryptos are as you know, to
be very involved in this race. And there's this period
right now we're in. We're developing AI technology is going
to determine the future of America. I'm calling this the
Manhattan Project too, because it's necessary for us to take
(54:41):
a lead now in the AI arms race. And this
administration is preparing a two point two trillion dollar counter
strike against the Chinese advances in this look, it's a
really important story and I break it all down for
you in a brand new interview. And there are company
that I believe could soar as a result of this
(55:02):
as well. This is a new exciting project I'm a
part of. I want you to really please go check
this out. Find this interview and all the details online
at a new website. We're gonna take this off air,
so to speak. The website is off air twenty five
dot com. Let me repeat this, off air twenty five
(55:23):
dot com. It's a deep dive for you to see
on what Trump is doing to help us win the
