Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome in Monday edition Clay Travis buck Sexton Show. I
hope all of you had fantastic weekends. Unfortunately, on Sunday afternoon,
much of those fantastic weekends likely ended up with you
in front of the television screen trying to find out

(00:20):
the absolute latest on a second Donald Trump assassination attempt,
this one in Florida while he was playing golf.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
We have a lot to discuss here.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
That is what we are going to focus on as
we now sit here exactly fifty days from the election
on November fifth, that we'll decide who the next President
of the United States is. And with many of you
beginning to be able to receive ballots in the mail,
including in Pennsylvania this week. So while election day is

(00:55):
fifty days away, the election is here for many you
out there across the country, and many of you will
be voting early.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
I know that I will so effectively.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Whether we like it or not, we have election season,
and this week begins the voting process in America. But
we begin with a second Trump assassination attempt, this one
while he was playing golf near is Mar a Lago resort.
There was an individual fifty eight years old who had

(01:31):
put up two ceramic bags to protect himself and had
scoped out a shooting location where he was planning on
trying to kill Donald Trump. He had a go pro
theoretically meaning that he was also planning to tape the
assassination of the president. Within AK forty seven, Reportedly, he

(01:54):
was able to get within several hundred yards of Trump
before he was spotted by a Secret Service agent. That
agent engaged in gunfire. That individual then fled, was able
to get into a car and drive about forty five
miles until police were able to arrest him thanks to

(02:16):
an eye witness who had gotten a license plate of
that vehicle. I believe all of that is factually accurate, Buck,
You can correct any of it if I got it wrong.
I'm just trying to lay out the specifics as we
begin our conversation. That man is in custody, he has
been charged with multiple offenses, and so for essentially forty

(02:39):
three years, we had no assassination attempts of any sort
of substantial nature that I'm aware of. Now, in the
space of sixty five days, Trump has been hit by
an assassin bullet in Butler, Pennsylvania, narrowly avoiding having his
head blown off on national television and that his ear

(03:01):
nicked and now in an unscheduled golf round. A Biden
Harris supporter who has on Twitter calling Trump a direct
threat to democracy, decided that he needed to murder the
president to save America effectively based on his strained logic. Essentially,

(03:23):
he is spouting off the talking points of Kamala Harris
and Joe Biden, including that Trump was the biggest threat
to democracy since the Civil War, which was set on
Tuesday during the debate buck What are your thoughts as
the second assassination attempt thankfully has failed, but as Trump
yet again found himself in peril, and let's be honest,

(03:46):
the security apparatus once again failed him despite the fact
that he was survived and that they caught the guy.
To me, letting another individual get within this proximity with
a rifle that he was going to try to execute
the president with is yet another profound failure in this landscape.

(04:07):
What were your thoughts as this story came out?

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Well, you may have.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Seen Donald Trump shared zero to two on truth social
after this happened, as in, they've taken two shots, or
rather two times gone after him, and so far, thank god,
have been unsuccessful. Trump is the highest threat individual in

(04:30):
American politics, and then the threat against him by far.
I think a lot of people when they heard in
the explanation from the Palm Beach County sheriff, who Trump
has thanked and said, did a very good job. I mean,
to be clear, you know, you'd have to understand who's
in charge of what right. I mean, this is their
Secret Service. There's DHS, which is you know, above secret service.

(04:54):
There's local law enforcement. You know, there's all these different
intersecting agencies are supposed to prevent something like this from happening.
On the good news side of things, first of all,
Donald Trump is okay, that's the thing. And nobody was hurt,
you know, there was this. It was tough because in
Pennsylvania we were all, oh my god, it's a miracle.
Trump's okay. I mean someone lost their life there as

(05:16):
we know, so, I mean that was a lethal incident.
It was a murder and an attempted murder of Donald
Trump as well. I think this apparent assassination thing we're
seeing all over the media is annoying. It's an apparent
assassination as the facts are coming in for like the
first hour. Okay, this guy set up with a scoped

(05:38):
rifle on the golf course. Secret Service shot at him.
He's in custody. Everything about his background so far lines obviously.
I Kamala Harris supporter apparently has a Kamala Harris bumper,
you know, a Harris Walls bumper sticker on his car.
Thinks Ukraine is the most important thing in the world.
Doesn't like Israel. I mean, there's a whole range.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
He's a leftist.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
I mean, this guy is a lunatic left But on
the on the other good news side of things, I
have to say, at least Secret Service didn't let him
get a shot off.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
This guy was shot at. They didn't call in.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
Hey, hey, didn't ee see the guy with the rifle
pointing through the fence line a Trump's playing golf. I
didn't want to check in. Yeah, have someone else take
a look at that. They fired at him. We don't
know what the distance was. Everyone keeps saying three hundred yards. No,
the shooter was three to five hundred yards from Trump.
And now that's a possible shot. But unless this guy
is a particularly skilled marksman, you know, three to five

(06:33):
hundred yards someone moving. I mean, that's that's not an
easy shot. He was clearly waiting until Trump came within
one hundred, one hundred and fifty yards, right, secret Service.
I believe it's Secret Service. I mean law enforcement engaged.
The suspect fired at him four to six rounds, didn't
hit him. He got away.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
That's the that's the part.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
I just if this witness doesn't get the license plate number,
I don't know that this guy would have even gotten.
How is it possible that you could be with a
long rifle within this vicinity of the president, get shot
at by Secret Service not hit which also doesn't I
mean you would know better than me, but not ideal
that the Secret Service can't hit this guy.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
I asked this on X.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
I was wondering, I mean, was it I assume they
My sense I don't know that there could be more
reporting than as it comes out, is that somebody in
the advanced team Secret Service saw this guy and just knew,
oh my god, they're doing this again. Drew down with
a side arm most likely, and no matter who you are,
a side arm under pressure at meeting a pistol under
pressure at more than fifty yards you know, you're not

(07:40):
hitting a whole lot. If it was a long gun,
a little different. But point being, I think Clay, they
just realized, oh my god, not again.

Speaker 2 (07:47):
Like now, you know, if you wait, and this is
the way it should be.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
If you're waiving a gun in a manner that they
can assess as a threat in the vicinity of the president,
it's got to be you shoot to stop the threat.
It can't be Hey, let's call this one in. And
that was the part of Butler. And I know people
have a lot of theories about a lot of things there,
and we don't have answers. I don't have the answers.
There aren't answers. Yet they're still looking into this, noteworthy Clay,

(08:12):
I think as well. Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida has
said there will be a Florida state law enforcement investigation
into this that will be concurrent with the federal one.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
So it's not just gonna.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
Be yeah, well, let DHS decide what a massive catastrophic
failure DHS is. But there's something else, Clay, you know,
as this was first of all, you know, I live
down here and so I got word of this. It
was hey, man, I heard from law enforcements. One of
my friends down here who's also in media. Hey Man,
law enforcement source says, I think there was a second
assassination attempt on Trump.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
And this was an hour.

Speaker 3 (08:47):
Before it broke on the on the newswires, and I'm like,
what's going on here? Maybe forty five minutes before it
really broke. And then it was oh no, there was
actually an exchange of gun fire in Trump's vicinity two
people unrelated to Trump. That was the story at one point. Yeah,
and I just I have no idea how, And I

(09:09):
was looking at a map. I know West Palm well,
I know Palm Beach. Well, you know Palm Beach. There
are no shootings, Okay, so if there's a shooting in
Palm Beach, it's and you know, and Trump is anywhere
in Palm Beach. Someone's trying to shoot at President Trump.
West Palm there's a little you know, there's probably a
one hundred murders I think a year in all of
Palm Beach County together, something like that. Anyway, it just

(09:32):
didn't add up, and then sure enough it was what
we thought, which was, oh, actually no, it is an
assassination attempt on President Trump. Do you see, there are
people who were saying right away on MSNBC, we'll get
to some of these clips and the response to it.
But Clay, they were saying, maybe now Trump will tone
down his rhetoric.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
Yeah, I did.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
Trump is being like another attempted assassination of Trump, and
the Democrat response is maybe now Trump will calm down.
Kamala Harris supporter, I know you were tweeting this claim. Imagine,
imagine a Trump supporter and God forbid, And any Trump
supporter who does this is a is a moron and

(10:10):
a monster. But God forbids someone with like a maga
hat was trying to post up on some Democrat, Kamala
Harris or any other Democrat. It's all we would hear
about every day from now to the election. Second assassination
Trump assassination attempt on Donald Trump and Clay what do
you how long do you think they spent on this
before they switched.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
You're like, dude, I think they've already. For instance, Springfield,
I think it's already switched. Let me read you one
of the tweets from this guy.

Speaker 1 (10:37):
Uh. He tweeted to Joe Biden, your campaign should be
called something like keep America democratic and free.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Kate F.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
Trump should be massa, make American slaves again, master democracy.
All caps is on the ballot, and we cannot lose.
We cannot afford to fail. The world is counting on
us to show the way that is the would be
assassin responding to Joe Biden, April twenty second, twenty twenty four.

(11:11):
Imagine how much media coverage there would be if a
diehard Trump supporter had shown up quoting Trump rhetoric and
attempted to kill Kamala Harris or Joe Biden. Imagine what
the media coverage would be if Barack Obama had gotten
clipped in an ear by a would be assassin, and

(11:33):
also another assassin had shown up and gotten within a
few hundred yards of him until he was stopped. This
would be never ending. Instead, there were no questions about
the July thirteenth assassination attempt in the debate because they
know that it hurts their argument that Trump is hitler
and that he is evil. If there are people motivated

(11:56):
by this, and I just come back to to me,
I saw you tweet at It's what we talked about
after July thirteenth. If you really believed Trump was Hitler
and a unique threat to American democracy. When someone tries
to kill him, you should you would not wish his
family and himself well and condemn violence. What they want

(12:19):
to do is convince morons something that they themselves do
not believe, to motivate turnout that Trump is America's Hitler.

Speaker 2 (12:27):
And yet when.

Speaker 1 (12:28):
People try to do what you would do to Hitler,
which is kill him, they want to still lean towards
the middle of the country and say, oh, but we
also deplore violence. They're speaking out of both sides of
their mouth with this story, and they continue to do it,
and they're motivating these attempt at assassinations beyond a shadow
of a doubt in my opinion.

Speaker 3 (12:49):
Also, you know, Kamala Harris put out some statement right
away like there's no place for violence, the most boiler
plate through the spokesman. You know, you know what Kamala
Harris could do, and I would actually be impressed she could. Well,
she won't speak to the press period, as we know.
Did you see people were tweeting out there have been
more assassination attempts on Trump and Kamala Harris press interviews.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
It's pretty amazing by herself.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
Yes, and yeah, I mean it's pretty staggering that this
is where we are.

Speaker 3 (13:19):
But Kamala could give Kamala could look to the name.
She could do this on an iPhone and she could
put something out from her campaign and be like, you know,
I know this is a heated campaign, but you know,
anyone who thinks that acting out in the name of
the Democrats or the Harris Walls campaign to hurt President Trump,
to use violence against him, his family or any of

(13:40):
his supporters is betraying everything we stand for. And you know,
she could actually put something out and I know people say, oh,
it would matter. No, this guy was a true believer
in Kamalaism. Yes, this guy was all in on the
stuff that MSNBC says every day, day in and day out.
This guy wasn't radicalized by some Internet chat room sharing

(14:04):
onwar Allackey videos talking about Little Satan and destroying America, Clay.
He was radicalized by watching CNN, yeah, and reading the
New York Times. And that's the country that we live
in right now, in the era of Trump. They could
speak out against this in a meaningful way, they choose not.

Speaker 4 (14:21):

Speaker 2 (15:41):
Welcome back to Clay and Buck.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
We had the second assassination attempt for President Trump over
the weekend, and unlike the Kamala aligned media, we're not
just gonna pretend that this was no big deal or
that it didn't happen, or that it wasn't a Kamala supporter,
a clear Democrat part in who is trying to take
President Trump out with less than two months before election

(16:05):
day the second time, and still insufficient security measures for Trump.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
We will.

Speaker 3 (16:11):
I meant to say this. The Palm Beach sheriff said, look,
he's not the president, so security is different for him.

Speaker 6 (16:16):
Biden could walk around the beach now, but nobody cares Biden.
Doesn't you know, you could have two guys with pistols
taking care of Biden. Nobody even thinks he's the president anymore.
It's absurd. Trump is who's under threat. I can I
just say this, This is nuts. Biden is having four
naps a day in Rehoboth.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
But he needs more security. It's preposterous.

Speaker 6 (16:39):
He's not even really the president.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
Anymore.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
But Okay, this is what Tim Clementi, former FBI agent,
said on CNN. I know Tim. Listen to what he
thinks about the incitement factor play it.

Speaker 2 (16:49):
What's the fact that he wanted to survive?

Speaker 5 (16:50):
Say to you.

Speaker 4 (16:51):
It says that he's not. First, he's not suicidal. Apparently
he wasn't going to take his own life if he
was almost being captured. Clearly, we saw that he was
captured without that, and it tells me that he's probably
much more politically motivated. The last shooter in Pennsylvania. I
don't want to say his name because I don't want
to promote him in any way, but he was clearly
a guy that was looking for the notoriety of taking
that shot. I would think we're going to find that

(17:13):
this guy's extremely politically motivated, and that he probably was
spurred on by much of the political diatribes that are
going on these days, talking about Trump equating him to
Hitler and things like that. So I don't think this
is the last we'll see. If crazy he's out there
trying to do this.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
Okay, tell you, I know Tim Clemente. Okay, he's a
real one. He's a career FBI guy. He's smart and
everything he said. They're a spot on clay. Notice the
first guy for notoriety. This guy changed the election and that's.

Speaker 1 (17:42):
Why he wants to be alive. And that's why he's
kind of smirking in a lot of the photos. He
thinks he's a hero. He bought into what Joe Biden
and Kamala Harris said, which is Trump is unique, that
threat to democracy. He thinks he is a hero for
trying to kill him. That's why I wanted to film it.
Look my fourteen year old much less serious birthday yesterday,
We went up to Wisconsin, saw a great game.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
He's a big Alabama fan.

Speaker 1 (18:05):
Unfortunately I failed there as a parent, but he was
super excited because he now has his own cell phone.
Fourteen years old is where you get them in the
Travis household, and he now has a pure Talk phone.
My soon to be seventeen year old has a pure
Talk phone. I use both of those phones to stay
in touch with my family and we save a lot

(18:26):
of money as well. For just twenty five bucks a
month with Puretalk, you can get unlimited talk text, five
gigs of data, plus a mobile hotspot enough to watch
ten hours of video or stream one thousand songs.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
Make the switch to pure Talk today.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
Same phone number and same phone if you would like
dial pound two five zero, say Clay and Buck, and
you say fifty percent off your first month. That's pound
two fifty pound two five zero, say.

Speaker 2 (18:54):
Clay and Buck.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Welcome back in Clay, Travis Buck, Sexton show Buck.

Speaker 2 (19:00):
A couple of things here. One I want to dive into.

Speaker 1 (19:05):
They said, the reason the shooter was able to get
close to the president like this is because they didn't
have a full perimeter setup because he's not the president
of the United States. Joe Biden has now come out
and said, hey, we need more Secret Service agents. I
want to have your take on this. Is the Secret
Service actually good at protecting the president? Or by and large,

(19:27):
have we just gotten fortunate that there haven't been that
many really serious assassination attempts. Second, the zero for two
meme that has gone megaviral on truth is actually not
from Trump, but it seems like something Trump might put out.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
In golf terms. I need a mulligan here, or I'll
give you a maya kulpa. I this is actually interesting
going into the election because I've been seeing more and
more and more concerned about when AI gets to the
point that they can come completely dub voices and video.
You know, you're you're gonna be you gotta be very
careful because you're gonna be stepping on, stepping on rakes

(20:07):
here and there if you're not really paying attention. They
they did a very good job of faking the O
and two memes so that it looked like it was
from his truth account and everything else. But I just
think this is funny. I thought the truth from Trump men.
And the problem also is that the truths are being
shared on x so they're already being there's already a
game of telephone that's happening. But Clay I thought his

(20:28):
I Hate Taylor Swift truth was fake. Yes, that was
actually real. And then I thought the O and two
truth was real. That is actually fake. So, especially with
the truths that are out there and given Trump's uh
highly entertaining way of communicating, it's gonna be tough to

(20:50):
know some past. But yes, no, that is a meme
that was Look, it's still true. They are still OH
and two on assassination attempts. But Trump did not actually
put that one out there. Someone else on his behalf.
So I stepped on a deep fake there. They're all
over the place, But and that doesn't change any analysis
or name we've said. The point is they've tried twice

(21:11):
to assassinate Trump, and thank god they have failed.

Speaker 1 (21:14):
Let's play this cut because I think it's significant. This
was the Palm Beach County Sheriff Rick Bradshaw said security
wasn't tighter because Trump is not the sitting president. We're
going to play this for you in just a second.
I just want to say on this program, even before
the Trump assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania, we were screaming,

(21:37):
you can go back and check the transcript, that they
needed to triple his security. That it was self evident
to us that an attempt like this was happening. Now
that they came within a quarter inch of of blowing
his head off on live television, you would think somebody
might say, hey, let's go ahead and increase his security
as he's playing golf outdoors. Instead, there's reports that this

(22:01):
guy was able to stay around the golf course for
twelve hours. Buck Also, this was not on the public schedule,
So did he just happen to end up at the
golf course on a day when Trump was playing, a
lot of questions still out there. But here's cut too.
If you're like me wondering, how in the world did
this happen? Again, a guy with a gun get this

(22:23):
close to the president.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
Listen what happened? And for us us straight in the
golf course.

Speaker 7 (22:30):
Well, you got to understand, the golf course is surrounded
by shrubbery, so when somebody gets into the shrubbery, they're
pretty much out of sight, all right. And at this
level that he is at right now, he's not the
city president. If he was, we would have this higher
golf course around him. Well, because he's not, the security
is limited to the areas that the Secret Service deems possible.

(22:53):
So I would imagine the next time becomes at a
golf course, there'll probably be a little bit more people
around the perimeter.

Speaker 2 (23:00):
Dice.

Speaker 3 (23:01):
But this, this was the point where everybody was screaming
curses and throwing things at the TV yesterday. Who could
be under more threat than Donald Trump right now? They
can obviously find a way to give him more resources
that they don't have people roaming, that they don't have
guys with long guns. Good guys roaming around this golf course.

(23:23):
He was there for twelve hours. They thought, and look,
here's the thing. This was technically a non like a
public appearance by Trump. If you live in West Palm Beach,
he played. You know where Trump is. Palm Beach and
West Palm are not big places. And wherever he is,
there's a security presence. And he plays a lot of

(23:43):
golf and there are only some he's a regular at it.
It's his own course. He's a regular at the West
Palm Beach golf club that he owns. And and you
know what I think you're seeing here is that from
the first time around, what people saw was, oh, you
can be some twenty year old kid, young man, not
a kid, but you can be some twenty year old

(24:04):
with no real training and managed to get a shot
off on the president.

Speaker 2 (24:08):
It's not that hard.

Speaker 3 (24:09):
And unfortunately, I think that has encouraged a lot of
lunatics who had assumed the Secret Service was this squared
away praetorian guard in a good sense of you know,
badasses who will do any you know, we all saw
Clint Eastwood. That was the best advertisement in some ways
for you know, the Secret Service. You could ever matchine
right in the line of fire. I think the perception changed,

(24:32):
and I think the bad guys know it, and that's
why now they figure, well, if they could mess up
that badly that time, how good are they really? And
I don't want to disparage I'm sure there are a
lot of great people who work in the Secret Service
who are totally on it, in total patriots, and so
I'm not, but I do think that they've had a
problem with recruitment because, honestly, the truth of the matter,
and this is when I was in the CIA, there

(24:53):
are places where you go if you're considered elite within
the national security community. Secret Service was when I was
in the CIA, the Air of nine to eleven not
considered one of them. So you're gonna have a lot.

Speaker 2 (25:06):
It's just the truth.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
People can get it thinking matter. You know, they are honorable,
great patriots who work at the Coastguard. If you talk
to somebody in Seal Team six, like, hey, your national security,
Coast Guard's national security, they'll punch you in the face
like it's not the same.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
I also would point this out. The guy got away,
I mean, the only reason they caught him. According to
the reports that I have seen is because a witness
at the golf course, who to my knowledge has not
been identified publicly yet, got the license plate of the
guy and gave it to them. He was forty five

(25:41):
minutes away. I mean, you talk about a failed security perimeter.
This guy could have gotten away and not even been
tracked down. He could have gotten a shot off and
killed somebody and not been tracked down.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
I also feel like I'm at a point now and
have been for a while, to be clear, but I
think that there is a very strong case to be
made that even if I didn't really agree with Trump
on policy that much, and I do agree with him,
but even if I felt like his character was lacking
and I didn't like his leadership, although I do like

(26:15):
you know, but from the marl from not even just
the mar Lago raid, but from the Russia collusion Special
Council investigation and the two impeachments, and the mar a
Lago raid, and the civil cases which were scams, and
the four criminal cases against him sending federal agents to
raid his private home because of documents, now to assassination attempts.

Speaker 2 (26:38):
You know, you sit here, you just.

Speaker 3 (26:39):
Say, if Trump doesn't win this it feels like it's
a concession to this monstrous force that is trying to
do absolutely anything and will break any rule, will abuse
the system, will use the deep state, and will call
out the psychos. And Trump is saying the rhetoric they
use is absolutely causing this now, so we don't have
to play this game of Oh, but like they're not responsible. No,

(27:01):
they're saying he's hitler. They are responsible. I would say
you could vote for Trump just based on the fact
that you cannot allow them to get away at Clay
with what they've been doing to stop him. You cannot
allow this.

Speaker 1 (27:13):
I would also point this out, and we probably should
dive into this a little bit greater detail. Florida Governor
Ron DeSantis is going to conduct his own investigation. I
talked about this back in July. How in the world
can the FBI be conducting an honest investigation into assassination
attempts of Donald Trump while simultaneously the FBI rated Mara

(27:34):
a Lago and is trying to assist to the Department
of Justice in putting Donald Trump in prison for the
rest of his life. I can't believe this isn't a
bigger talking point as lawyers, there is a regular analysis
of whether we can represent clients based on conflict. No
lawyer in America could be trying to put a client

(27:55):
in prison for the rest of his life on one side,
and then investigating and defending him in a case where
he is a potential victim on the other side. This
is an untenable conflict, even if I had faith in
the FBI leadership, which I clearly do not based on
what they did in twenty twenty and trying to cover

(28:16):
up the Hunter Biden laptop and all the rigging with
the Facebook and Twitter that has gone on, even if
that hadn't occurred, you can't simultaneously be investigating whether the
president is a victim and conducting an honest investigation while
simultaneously you are trying to put the president in prison
for the rest of his life, which is what they're

(28:38):
doing right now with Trump. And what does it say
about Trump that there is such a desperation to do
absolutely anything to stop him from having four more years.

Speaker 2 (28:48):
Like there.

Speaker 3 (28:50):
Are larger forces at work here. And I know this
is a broader conversation, but it's clear there's something different
about Trump to a whole segment of the country, of
the deep state, of the Democrat apparatus, and all the
normal rules are being have been thrown out the window
for years now. Why why is that he must be

(29:12):
such a threat to them? It must be so clear
to them that he is a challenge to their power
and the power structure that they rely on, because otherwise,
how could you explain what else could they do at
this point? I mean, there have been multiple efforts to
kill President Trump. He actually got shot, as we know,

(29:33):
multiple efforts for efforts to lock him.

Speaker 2 (29:35):
Up for the rest of his life.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
Look, two impeachments, a raid on his private home over
documents that were collecting dust that nobody cared that mean nothing,
Like what are they unwilling to do against this guy?
I mean we're at the point now where you just
wonder they're just gonna like fabricate that he murdered somebody
forty years ago and try him for that. You know,
where are we with this now? And no holds barred, anything,

(30:00):
any lie, any tactic they'll use.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
He's the most demonized person politically in any of our lives.
And I'm not even sure who the second closest contender
would be, can you I mean That's how much Trump
is off the charts in terms of what they've said
about him and what they have done to him. That
I'm sitting down thinking, in the last forty years, who

(30:24):
would you even point to as a major presidential candidate
or certainly former president that has received even a scintilla
of this treatment as Trumps.

Speaker 3 (30:35):
They've embraced Dick Cheney. Yeah, whom they said as an
I watched the Daily Show back of the day when
I was in college, and everyone's sitting around smoking weird
Jon Stewart. So he's actually a propagandist and what he
did in the country is terrible.

Speaker 2 (30:49):
But I used to watch this. I saw this. Dick
Cheney was Darth Vader.

Speaker 3 (30:53):
Dick Cheney was the embodiment of evil to these lunatics.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
Before Trump.

Speaker 3 (30:58):
They said that he started wars for to raise, you know,
to make more money off of stock. He didn't actually have.
This is actually a public record that you could see
he didn't have this Haliburton stock that every sing, oh Haliburton.
But put that aside. People like to believe it, but
they say that he started wars for no and look,
the forever wars were bad and we didn't get what
we wanted out of them, and we lost a lot, right,
But you.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
Would think that's a bigger deal.

Speaker 3 (31:19):
What is the horrible crime that Trump is committed making
fun of journalists telling people that they can peacefully protest
on the Capitol and some of them lost themselves and
broke you know, But you would think that wars that
end up killing. I mean, god knows what the total
number of people dying is and lost thousands of Americans,

(31:41):
tens of thousands of wounded. But the left will embrace him.
What I'm saying is he'll do anything. They will absolutely
do anything. And that is the mentality. And when the
mentality is do anything, and that's justified across the entirety
of the Democrat spectrum. We're gonna stuff like this is
gonna happen. We have friends who tweeted out after the

(32:02):
first assassination attempt, Clay, You and I know people in
this business who were saying they're going to do this again.

Speaker 1 (32:08):
We said it, we said on the show, we said
that he was going to have it. That's why I
was so furious. On July thirteenth, I said, on this show,
triple his detail.

Speaker 2 (32:19):
It's obvious. What's coming.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
And then now we got even President Trump, I mean
President Biden saying yeah, there's not enough security. How is
it when we spend trillions of dollars that we can't
have enough security to protect one of our leaders from
getting shot.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
I don't understand it.

Speaker 3 (32:35):
Also, so our side is supposed to be ashamed of
a riot where no one was killed except for Ashley Babbitt,
Like all of us are responsible for that. That's what
the Democrats say, you are, I am everyone listening. They're
all responsible for that and we should feel ashamed. But
they're not responsible at all for now creating two lunatics
who have tried to kill President Trump. That's you know,

(32:56):
in an election year, that's not something that their side
is ashamed of all. They don't have any responsibility. Oh okay,
we all see how this game is played. We understand
what they're doing. Take some of your calls on this
at a second eight hundred two A two two eight
a two. You know, I'm convinced the left is determined
to do everything to undermine the pro life movement. And
as long as they have all this government funding and

(33:17):
they have things like you know, Planned parenthood, a lot
of money going into promoting abortion. But thank Heavens, there
are some people doing good out there, like the Preborn
Network of Clinics who are trying to save unborn babies,
and I'm in the fight alongside them. This is an
organization that operates clinics nationwide. They welcome pregnant moms who
are making that decision between life and abortion for their

(33:38):
unborn child. They give them care, consideration, counseling, material support,
and also ultrasounds. That ultrasounds so often is the difference
when mom sees a little tiny baby inside, sees that
little heart beating on the screen. You've seen this before.
So many of you've seen this with your own families.
Little heartbeat on the screen, and mom says, I'm going
to give life to this baby. Think about this. It's

(33:59):
a mission day in and day out. They need funding,
They need donations from people like you. For just twenty
eight dollars, you can sponsor a preborn ultrasound and give
a mom to make the right choice, the choice for life,
and ultrasound doubles a baby's chance at life.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
Statistically.

Speaker 3 (34:15):
To donate securely, dial pound two five zero say the
keyword baby. That's pound two fifty say baby, or get
a preborn dot com slash buck that's preborn dot com
slash b u c K sponsored by Preborn.

Speaker 5 (34:29):
Need a break from politics, a little comedy to counter
the craziness, So now the Sunday Hang, a weekend podcast
to lighten things up a bit. Find it in the
Clay and Buck podcast feed on the iHeartRadio, Wile or
wherever you get your podcasts.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
Welcome back to Clay and Buck. Get some of your
calls here. Uh but this is this is amazing.

Speaker 3 (34:51):
Actually what to take some of your calls coming up,
So stay with us because we got a quick turnaround.
But I'll just Clay just shared this out on his
x account and I'm We're sitting here just go going wow.
Although right after I do, we have that MSNBC clip.
Maybe we can hit that coming up here where they
had on a former Republican though they're always the worst
because they're so bitter at Trump because they thought they
could turn the party against him. And you know, they

(35:13):
had a former Republican Elisee Jordan say maybe Trump will
tone down his rhetoric. I couldn't believe this that some
guy was lining up a rifle to shoot President Trump.
To kill him while he's playing golf, and there are
more ons on TV. We're saying, maybe this will turn
Trump's rhetoric around what Trump's rhetoric.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
But here you go.

Speaker 3 (35:33):
Clay from the Cincinnati Inquirer opinion piece, there is no
place in politics for violence. That said, the former president
Donald Trump brings a lot of this on himself. That said, Clay, Wow,
that said a lot.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
Is the main newspaper in Cincinnati, a city where we
are currently number one in some of the stuff that
I see happen, Buck, I can't believe that it's real.
Like I went, I was like, there's no way that
a major newspaper tweeted, hey, nobody should get killed.

Speaker 2 (36:05):
That said, they bring it on themselves. I just like.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
The fact that that could be published. I think is
evidence of how much hate there is for Trump inside
of a newspaper editorial wing. Because that's the kind of
thing that should raise an eyebrow. For instance, if a
woman got raped and murdered and the headline was rape
and murder is wrong. But she did bring it a
bit on herself when she wore that mini skirt out

(36:31):
to a nightclub, everybody would be like, I mean, like
everyone involved in that story would be fired and never
work again because they would be so insanely stupid to
be blaming the victim. Yet that is where we are,
less than twenty four hours after a second assassination attempt
on Trump,
