Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome in Clay Travis buck Sexton Show Tuesday edition. Buck
is out until Tuesday of next week on vacation with
his family. So you got me Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
Let's hay have a good time. Let me give you
a good idea of where we're headed. Riley Gaines is
(00:20):
going to join us at one o'clock Eastern, about an
hour from now. Yesterday we had a conversation. Many of
you deluged us with reactions about the gender gap, and
in particular the gender gap among young people, and I
was impressed by how many young listeners called in and
(00:41):
cited Riley Gaines as a particularly powerful voice of a
younger generation that should be speaking out more and used
more in the Republican Party politic platform to allow her
to speak to young women who are overwhelmingly voting for
Kamala Harris according to data. And so Riley's a friend.
(01:05):
I got her hired at OutKick because I saw the
work that she was doing and I was so impressed
by it. So she will be with us at one
at two. A lot of attention, as you can well imagine,
certainly on the presidential race itself between Kamala and Trump.
But don't neglect what's going on right now in the
(01:26):
Senate battlegrounds out there. In particular, Republicans are going to
pick up a seat in West Virginia that makes it
fifty to fifty. Presuming Ted Cruz and Rick Scott win
in Texas and Florida, respectively, as I believe they will,
that would make it a fifty to fifty Senate. In
(01:47):
a fifty to fifty Senate, the vice president breaks ties.
Kamala has been the vice president breaking many ties in
the Senate in the first term of Joe Biden. But
if the state of Montana, and look, there are many
other states as well, Pennsylvania with McCormick, Nevada with Brown,
(02:11):
Arizona with Carrie Lake. There are a lot of different
states out there where a fifty first vote could emerge.
But right now, Montana, with what Tim Sheehe is doing,
it looks like Montana's all of you listening to me.
Right now, you guys have the power to take back
control of the Senate. So it's very important what happens
(02:33):
in the House. We're going to talk to Speaker of
the House Mike Johnson on the show later this week.
But Senate control is out there. Bernie Marino hugely important
Senate race in Ohio. There are many different seats that
could be won, but right now Montana, Tim Sheehy is
(02:54):
winning that race. According to the polls. Trump is obviously
going to win Montana comfortably. He was us out in
Bozeman a few weeks ago helping the campaign for Tim Sheehey.
It looks like Republicans are in very good shape to
take back control of the Senate. That would matter to
a large extent regardless of who the President of the
(03:16):
United States is. Either it would check Kamala Harris, and
we're going to get into Kamala. Kamala now is in
favor of a border wall that came out this morning
from Axios and it has been getting a lot of attention.
I'm going to have some fun with that because it's
just emblematic of how dishonest her campaign is. And we're
(03:36):
going to talk about that. But Riley Gains Tim Shehhee
are our guest today. But I want to start with
what I think is one of the biggest stories of
the twenty first century so far as it pertains to
the First Amendment to censorship, to big tech. Many of
you out there know my background, but in the event
(03:57):
that you don't, I came in writing about sports when
I was a young lawyer. Back in two thousand and four.
I was twenty five years old. I was a litigator.
I was working in the United States Virgin Islands. At yes,
believe it or not, I was like the Tom Cruise
character in the firm, except not anywhere near as good
looking and not engaged in criminal behavior as a lawyer.
(04:20):
But I got married, moved to the US Virgin Islands.
I'm still an attorney in the US Virgin Islands, also
here in Tennessee. But I had something that's actually very
common these days for young people. I had what they
call a quarter life crisis. And I was there. I
was twenty five years old. I was making more money
(04:40):
as a practicing attorney living in the Caribbean than my
parents had ever made in their entire careers. Neither of
my parents ever made fifty thousand dollars a year. They
were State of Tennessee employees. I was making good money, young,
pretty wife, no kids, no obligations, living in the Caribbean,
and I said, uh oh, I had a vision of
(05:01):
the next forty years of my life, and it was
one motion after another, litigation on into the future forever,
and I said I don't want to do this. I said,
this is not for me. I loved law school. I
love the theory of the law, debating legal issues. Maybe
(05:23):
I would have enjoyed on some level being a judge,
but I would have been a trial lawyer. That's what
I would have been. This is not a huge surprise.
If I had stayed and continued practice, I would have
been a trial lawyer. I like thinking on my feet.
I don't like sitting in a room. I like talking
to people. I would have been a trial lawyer. Maybe
I would have done really well as a trial lawyer,
but I certainly wouldn't have been an office litigator, which
(05:47):
is what a lot of young lawyers do. You got
to pay off the loans, You go, you sit in
a office, you review documents, you file motions, all those things.
So my escape was I started about sports. That was
my escape, my mental break from what was otherwise a
(06:07):
very serious world. And I wasn't excited about being a lawyer.
I was able to parlay writing into making a career,
and I ended up founding a site called OutKick in
twenty eleven, after I got fired. I got fired at FanHouse.
They shut down the whole site. It wasn't anything that
I had done wrong. But not very long ago. In
(06:28):
twenty eleven, thirteen years ago, I was thirty two years old,
roughly thirty one, I think I had two young kids,
and I was making forty thousand dollars a year. And
I looked around and I said, Oh, my goodness, how
am I going to pay my mortgage? What am I
going to do with my life now? I've been working
so hard to try to make a living as a
(06:50):
writer in sports. I was doing local radio at that time.
That's how I started doing radio, was I'd go on
and talk about the articles that I wrote. Found out
I was decent at it. But at that time, twenty eleven,
I get fired as a writer. I have forty thousand
dollars that I'm making doing local sports talker radio in Nashville, Tennessee.
(07:10):
Some of you have been listening to me since then,
and I had a oh no moment. I found it OutKick,
and I learned along the way the sports media business,
but then also the media business. And I came to
see how dishonest, still was, but I also came to
see the power that Facebook, that Twitter, that social media
(07:36):
had over a site's ability to get its message out
to the larger community. And one of my light bulb
moments running out Kick, we had Donald Trump on the
sports talker radio show that I did early in the morning.
Huge deal, as you can well imagine, to get the president,
(07:56):
sitting president of the United States on six tonight see Yeah,
in August of twenty twenty. Then we had him on
again in October of twenty twenty. I had him on twice.
Each time we wrote about it at OutKick, Facebook destroyed
our site traffic because we were writing positive stories about
(08:20):
Donald Trump on a sports site, and I testified under
oath to Jim Jordan in Congress about this. In twenty
twenty one, our site traffic collapsed. Facebook has the power
of almost at that time every media company's future in
the palm of its hand, And one reason I sold
(08:44):
OutKick in twenty twenty one to Fox was because I
knew that we needed to be bigger, because if you're
a small media company, even we had built into a
pretty good size. I think OutKick has close to one
hundred employees now that it's owned by Fox, and I'd
encourage you guys to check it out occasionally. I don't
own it anymore, but I saw the power of Facebook
(09:05):
and Twitter directly in they had the ability to either
have you meet your budget or collapse your budget from
an advertising perspective, based on what site traffic they would
send to you. Okay, that's background for why I think
I understand this issue better than almost anybody who works
(09:27):
in media because I've actually run a media online media
company for years and years and seen had to make payroll,
had to do all these things. This is the biggest
story I think, as it pertains to censorship in the
twenty first century and as it pertains to rigging an
election in the twenty first century. I'm going to spend
(09:48):
some time laying it all out for you, but this
is supremely important, and I don't think it's going to
get covered because of how important it is. This issue
that I'm about to let out makes Watergate seem like
I've used this analogy before, but I think it's particularly apropos.
It makes Watergate seem like jaywalking. When you talk about criminality,
(10:11):
rigging elections and their impact Mark Zuckerberg yesterday released a
letter to Jim Jordan, who's going to be on with
us tomorrow, I believe, the chairman of the Committee on Judiciary,
and he said they have been looking. Jim Jordan, to
his credit, has been investigating big media collusion, censorship, and tech.
(10:36):
This is important now COVID. I'm going to get into COVID.
They clearly rigged what you were able to say during
the COVID era. You couldn't say it came from a
Chinese lab. You couldn't say that masks were not effective.
You couldn't say that the COVID shot would keep you
from what would actually not keep you from getting COVID like.
You just weren't allowed to say things. Buck and I
(10:58):
dealt with this in our media careers. But I'm not
going to focus on that right now, although it is
incredibly important. What I want to focus on is this
paragraph written by Mark Zuckerberg. I'm going to unpack why
it matters so much and why it's so significant. The
FBI warned us about a potential Russian disinformation operation about
(11:21):
the Biden family and Beisma in the lead up to
the twenty twenty election that fall, when we saw a
New York Post story reporting on corruption allegations involving then
Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden's family. We sent that story
to fact checkers for review and temporarily demoted it while
(11:43):
waiting for a reply. It's since been made clear the
reporting was not Russian disinformation, and in retrospect, we shouldn't
have demoted the story. We've changed our policies and processes
to make sure this doesn't happen again. For instance, we
no longer temporarily demote things in the US while waiting
for fact checkers. Okay, this is important. What he did
(12:07):
not say is the important part here, and I'm going
to spend a lot of time this opening of this
show unpacking why this matters so much. In December of
twenty nineteen, the FBI seized Hunter Biden's laptop December of
twenty nineteen. In October of twenty twenty, the New York
(12:31):
Post story came out about the Hunter Biden laptop. All
of the reporting there was true. The FBI knew because
they had confirmed that laptop was real. They knew that
everything in the New York Post story was actually true,
verifiably accurate. Yet, according to Mark Zuckerberg, the FBI in
(12:57):
the run up to the twenty twenty election was telling
all the big tech companies that the laptop was Russian
disinformation so that they would not believe this story when
it actually went public. Who rigged the twenty twenty election
(13:18):
inside of the FBI? And why do we still not
know who this individual or individuals was. This is the
biggest election interference in the history of our lives, certainly
in the history of the twenty first century and in
(13:41):
the Trump era by far. They knew that the laptop
was real, the FBI did, They had had it in
their possession since December of twenty nineteen, but they told
all the tech companies that it was fake and that
it was Russian dism information. The FBI rigged the twenty
(14:04):
twenty election for Joe Biden. Who made that decision? And
how has no one been held accountable for the lies?
I want to talk about this more. We're going to
dive in more. But to me, this is the biggest
political story of the twenty first century. Our FBI rigged
(14:26):
the twenty twenty election. They knew that laptop was real,
and they told the big tech companies Twitter, Facebook in advance. Hey,
this story is coming, a story that they knew was true,
and they said it was going to be Russian disinformation.
Who ordered the code read there? And how in the
world has no one been held accountable yet? That is
(14:48):
the biggest story of the twenty first century in my opinion,
as it pertains to the American political process. And scarily,
if they did it in twenty twenty, why wouldn't they
do it again in twenty twenty four. I'm going to
take your calls. I want to talk about this eight
hundred and two eight two two eight A two big
blockbuster admissions from Mark Zuckerberg there. But I want to
(15:08):
tell you also, Hey, testosterone it's down. It's way too low.
It's a major issue all over the country. Your testosterone
level is about fifty percent of what your grandfathers was,
of what your great grandfathers was. Why in the world
has that happened? Well, because we don't even know for sure,
(15:28):
but we think it's chemicals. We think there's all sorts
of things going on there. But if you need more energy,
you need to check out chalk right now. Choq dot

Appreciate all of you hanging out with us. They rigged
the twenty twenty election. The FBI knew the Hunter Biden
laptop was one hundred percent reel. They had had possession
(16:34):
of it since December of twenty nineteen. They knew that
if people believed that the Hunter Biden laptop story was true,
and if it was covered aggressively by the mainstream media,
that Joe Biden would lose in the twenty twenty election
to Donald Trump. They conspired to cover it up. We
know this to be true based on reporting on independent voters.
(16:57):
If independent voters had known about the lie of the
Biden family, about the culpability of the Biden family when
it came to illicit payments of money coming from all
sorts of foreign locations, the idea that Joe Biden was
somehow this grandfatherly above reproach character would have collapsed. His
campaign would have collapsed. Trump would have won. The FBI
(17:20):
rigged the election for Joe Biden. They knew the laptop
was real. Why did they do it? Because they feared Trump?
The bigger question is why has no one paid a
price for this? Mark Zuckerberg has now admitted again it's
easy to make Facebook and Twitter the villain. But I
want to dive into this when we come back in
just a moment. Think about this. They're trying to do
(17:41):
what they think is right, and where they biased against
Trump certainly, but when the FBI tells you that Russian
disinformation is coming, it's natural to believe them and think
that you're doing the right thing. When you stifled distribution
of this story. The FBI ordered the code. Ready knew
this wasn't real, and they knew it was real, and
(18:03):
they pretended it wasn't Why did they get away with it?
And how is this not being more covered? How do
so many people still not know about it? Look, you
want to save money, Pure Talk can hook you up.
We just got a new Puretalk phone. It just arrived
at the house. It's going to be for my middle
son when he turns fourteen. We don't give our kids
cell phones until they turned fourteen years old. He gets
(18:25):
a cell phone. He's super excited about it. I trust
Pure Talk to keep me in touch with my kids,
with my sixteen year old, with my soon to be
fourteen year old. They save me money and they also
have great service. You can save fifty sixty dollars a month.
It's easy. All you have to do is say pound
two five zero. That's pound two five zero, and you
will be well on your way to saving an absolute bundle.
(18:48):
Do what I did. Trust your family with Puretalk pound
two five zero. Say Clay and Buck make the switch
save thousands today. Welcome back in Clay Travis Buck Sexton
Show to Ron Johnson in Wisconsin. You guys know we
love him. Listening to the show. Fired up about what
Mark Zuckerberg said in his letter, wanted to weigh in,
(19:09):
was texting with me. During the break he is called
into the program Saat Johnson. First of all, good to
hear from you again. Last time we saw you, we
were in Milwaukee doing a event. It was a lot
of fun. Many of our listeners there showed up to
hear Buck and I and you all kind of sit
and talk about the issues of the day. But I
think this story is so important, and I know you
(19:30):
are fired up about this as much as I am.
I think it's the biggest story of the twenty first century.
Somebody in the FBI ordered a codor D. They knew
that the laptop was real. They went to Facebook, they
went to Twitter. We tend to focus on the big
tech companies and their failures, but you experienced this when
the FBI sits you down and tells you something. I
(19:53):
think it's natural that the Mark Zuckerbergs of the world
and the Jack Dorsey's of the world are gonna believe
the FB they lied, and nobody's been held accountable for it.
You experienced it yourself. Tell us about what happened to
you in the run up for twenty twenty and are
you as angry. I think the answer is yes, as
(20:14):
I am that still nobody inside of the FBI has
been held accountable for rigging the election and the lies
that they told in twenty twenty.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
Oh, I'm way more angry than you are. I appreciate
your highlighting this. No, so it all start and by
the way, it's much deeper than the FBI, and I'll
get to that, but it started to end. They seized
that computer. On the way out. The FBI agent turned
around and I'm paraphrase and said, you are Our experience,
mister mc isaac, is that people who don't talk about
these things don't get in trouble something that effect. Yeah,
(20:44):
they already started, you know, tampering there. Tender Grassy and
I individually. In August twenty twenty, I'm walking back from
a vote. My staff is coming up to me and say, hey, Saty,
we've got a briefing with the FBI here and the skiffs,
So what are you talking about? They want to brief yet,
so it's an unst briefing. It was a joke and
we had I think six briefers. They said we were
targets of Russian disinformation. I said, okay, do you have
(21:07):
any I mean, we've been accused for months because we
were investigating Hunter. We've been accused for months in by
our senate colleagues in the media of listing in dissementing
and Russian disinformation. So here we are in August and
the FBI is saying, hey, we're targets to Russian disinformation.
I just rolling my eyes and go, okay, do you
like have some evidence about this? And you know, they
(21:29):
kind of look at each other and you know they
had nothing for me. So now I'm pissed. Okay, pardon
my fresh, who told you to brief me? I want
to know who directed this briefing and they kind of
look at each other and inn agency and I we
have written multiple letters asking who directed that briefing. I've
(21:53):
asked it an open hearings with Director Ray. To this day,
we do not know who directed that unsolicitly briefing where
again they were sabotaging our investigation Hunter Biden, and quite honestly,
the sabotaging in case the Hunter Biden laptop every surface,
which by the way, it did. The day after we
issued our report, John mc isaac finally felt safe enough
(22:16):
because he was warrened earlier, safe enough to let Subby
know he had this, and so he contacted our office.
Now we thought it was pretty odd. Again, it could
have been Russian disinformation, it could have been a plan.
We didn't know. So we went to the FBI to
find out, what do you know about this? And they
gave us the run around, literally four weeks while the
guy in times this is on vacation, to the point
(22:38):
where mciaac got impatient and he turned it over to
Rudy Giuliani's attorney, who then turned over the New York Post.
The rest is history. But again, the sabotage worked. We
could have taken that computer immediately and maybe start revealing things. Again,
we do our due diligence, so we probably would have
been acting as quickly as a New York Post. But
what we have since found out is that we don't
(22:59):
know who, but it was somebody in the office of
the Director of National Intelligence. I don't think it was
John Radcliffe, but it was somebody inside the deep state,
inside that agency that catched the orchestrated all this. But
again to this date and as August of twenty twenty.
Here we are augusta, twenty twenty four, four years later.
We don't know who directed a secure briefing to two
(23:22):
US senators at the time chairman of our committee.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
This is so incredibly important.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
It's not accountable they are.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
This is so incredibly important, and I'm glad you called in,
and I just want to hammer this home again for
all of our listeners. The FBI had Hunter Biden's laptop
since December of twenty nineteen. That's when they took it
from John Paul mack Isaac. To your point, when they
talked to you in August of twenty twenty, they knew
(23:50):
the laptop was real. When the story came out from
the New York Post and most of us heard about
it for the first time in October of twenty twenty,
they knew the laptop was real. They were seeding the
idea that it was Russian disinformation for months, to the
social media companies, to people out there in the larger universe. Heck,
(24:11):
you saw this story was that the Aspen Institute had
a pretend story about Russian disinformation that was out there
to try to influence the election. And you know this, Senator,
I think this is so important too. They treated a
few Facebook ads that Russian entities bought for a few
(24:33):
thousand dollars, few hundred dollars, if I remember, like it
stole the election for Trump in twenty sixteen. I bought
Facebook ads. Trust me, They're freaking expensive and you got
to buy a ton of them to get in front
of anybody. Okay, I've done this as part of my
business running a media company. This is I mean, you're
(24:54):
angry about it. I'm fired up about it. I think
it is the biggest lie in any of our li lives,
the biggest rig job that has ever happened. And by
the way, the New York Times, the Washington Post, they
won't even hardly cover this right now. Can you imagine, Senator,
how they be covering it if Trump, imagine just flip
the parties. If Trump had been censoring information through Facebook
(25:16):
that disfavored his political positions, and if the FBI had
briefed and protected one of the Trump kids and the
Trump family from revelations like these, that they would put
Trump in prison. I mean, I don't think there's any
doubt about it. Right now, The New York Times, the
Washington Post won't even cover it.
Speaker 2 (25:34):
But but Clay, understand how pervasive of this. So we
had articles written against us, you know, that we were
you know, stooges of Russia.
Speaker 1 (25:41):
They lead to try to turn you into Russian stooges.
That's very important.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
Well, yeah, you know, our ranking members of the committee
issue to report that we were Russian stooges. Okay, fast forward,
it was the intelligence community that issued the letter saying
that the laptop had all the earmarks of Russian information campaign. Yeah,
so that's what I'm saying. This is way deeper than
just the FBI. This goes into the Intelligence Committee. They're
(26:05):
ties into the Democrat elected members of the Senate, who
you know, had written you know that I was so tostered.
The CIA wouldn't even brief me. No, they wouldn't brief
me a third time because they'd briefed us or a
second time. They are briefless ones and said that Andre
Telshenko is not a problem to get testimony from. So
again I'm getting into levels of detail. You don't need
(26:26):
to consider it. Just understand how pervasive this is. The
ties into the media, into the big tech, into Democrat
members of Congress. It was it was all orchestrays, is
all coordinated. But Sena grats that. Again, we were vilified
for the entire year of twenty twenty because we were
investigating Hunter Biden, and again we were accused of foisting
and descending Rush disinformation. Get the unscreed briefing, and then
(26:49):
we see what the you know, fifty one intelligence officials
did on the cusp of the election to make sure
that this thing was completely buried, just long enough so
Joe Biden got elected and the results, of course been zastus.
Speaker 1 (27:03):
Why do you think Zuckerberg wrote his letter? Now?
Speaker 2 (27:09):
I guess they have a good time. God.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
I mean, it's a good question, right.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
It's just just, you know, good work by Jim Jardin,
and he impressed this.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
Some people are saying they think it's because Trump's gonna
win and Zuckerberg wants to get back on his good side.
Obviously we didn't even focus but a lot of this,
and I'm sure this impacted you too. I know it
impacted us. A lot of the COVID stuff that they
were restricting, they were censoring that the Biden administration was
acting on. That's another big part of the letter. But
to me, look, that's a huge story. That standalone is
(27:42):
a huge story. But the rig job here, the FBI
and or other elements of our deep state telling everyone, hey,
this is Russian disinformation when they knew it was real,
is a scandal unlike anything any of us have ever
seen related to an American presidential election in our lives.
(28:02):
I mean to you, is this the biggest scandal you
can think of related to an American presidential election? Because
I think they rigged it to get Biden in office. Right,
There's no way Biden gets in office if this is
covered honestly as the story it should have been.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
Yeah, So twenty twenty, I've been saying that Russia and
China couldn't even dream of interfering on an election to
the extent that our own federal agencies did. No, this
is a huge story. This is just the most grotesque
interferencing election. And it all started with Hillary Clinton, you know,
paying for the steel dos CIA. The FBI knew that
(28:38):
the sub source there was somebody they were investigating, is
your Russian spy. They knew it was all BS, but
they continued, you know, started the Miller investigation again, they
put our country through a political turmoil that hasn't ended up.
And this is all caused by the deep state of
the corruption of Democrat politicians like Hillary Clinton. You know,
(28:58):
people in the deep state like James you know, all
the folks, you know struck In Paige and McCabe and
all those folks, and they're getting away with it. I mean,
the players in it are actually on MSNBC, the pharmacy directors.
I mean again, they're they're getting with it because they
control the media, they control the narrative, and people have
(29:21):
to open their eyes to what is happening to our country.
And God bless Chelsea Gabbard, God bless Arcade Junior that
their eyes have been open and they're rejecting the corruption
of their former party.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
Senator Ron Johnson. Thank you for fighting the good fight
every single day. I appreciate you listening as well and
calling in and helping on this story. Because the minute
I read that Zuckerberg letter yesterday, I had steam coming
out of my years and I couldn't wait to come
on and talk about it in this and reinforce what
lies we have been told by people being paid by
our taxpayer dollars inside of our government.
Speaker 2 (29:55):
Well, thanks for highlighting.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
It, Senator Ron Johnson, Great state of a westco Jhnson,
We'll talk to you again soon. Thank you for listening,
thanks for calling in. I want to tell you right
now if you haven't heard about coin yet, cool new
credit card for conservatives coinspell with the g as in Coign,
backed by Visa, gives you one percent back on every
dollar you spend, while also supporting causes that align with
(30:16):
your values, with my values with Senator Ron Johnson, who
you just heard call in mine gets a ton of

(31:00):
back in Clay Travis buck Sexton Show. Okay, I want
to really kind of put a bow on this, although
we will take your calls because I think I know
I'm seeing the emails pour in a lot of you
have takes on this. Why does this matter going forward?
Why is Zuckerberg you just heard me, thanks Senator Ron
Johnson and Wisconsin. Why is he suddenly writing this letter
for Jim Jordan. Jim Jordan will join us tomorrow. So
(31:21):
we're not going to let this story die. We'll continue
to talk about it. Two things that I think are
supremely important still. One, if they did this in twenty twenty,
what are they planning in twenty twenty four. They knew
the Hunter Biden laptop was one hundred percent real, and
they put in place an entire apparatus to argue that
it was false. They gas lit all of us. Now
(31:45):
they won't even cover it, even though Mark Zuckerberg is
writing and telling you, Oh, by the way, everything we've
been saying on this show about COVID that you weren't
allowed to say for years, Oh, they were restricting it
on Facebook, Zucker says he feels bad now. He also
said in that letter, Hey, I'm not getting involved in
the twenty twenty four election. I'm not donating any money
(32:05):
at all. I know it's easy to believe that these
big tech guys are evil villains. I actually think they're
by and large, incredibly socially awkward and trying to do
the best thing they can given the situation that they're in.
And I just want you to think about this. If
(32:27):
you were out there like Senator Ron Johnson was, and
the FBI came to you and they did a full briefing,
and you were just a guy who ran Facebook, you
were just a guy who ran Twitter, Instagram, whatever it is,
and the FBI set you down and they said, hey,
this is some James Bond stuff. Russia is going to
(32:50):
put out a bunch of lies about Joe Biden. Here's
what this story is going to look like. We're taking
you behind the curtain and showing you how how espionage
really works. The hairs on your arm would probably stand up,
because we've all been preconditioned to think about the intelligence
industry in that way. CIA, FBI all of these things,
(33:13):
and they told you, Hey, they've got a whole fake
story that they've built that is going to tell you
that Bereisma has been paying Hunter Biden. There's all these
fake emails. They even may have created a laptop. They're
trying to rig the election with it. If they told
you that in September and then in October you saw
(33:38):
the New York Post story, pop, wouldn't your initial thought be, oh,
my goodness. The FBI was right. They knew exactly what
was coming. So it's a blame shifting to be angry
at Facebook and be angry at Twitter. The government did this,
(33:59):
and I feel like the crazy guy standing in front
of the board pointing to all the different lines, you know,
the meme that you see. But again, facts matter here.
The FBI has had the Hunter Biden laptop since December
of twenty nineteen. By the summer and fall of twenty twenty,
they became aware that this story was going to come
(34:22):
out from the New York Post. They knew it was real,
and they intentionally lied to all of these big tech
companies to try to protect Joe Biden and put him
in office. They had fifty one intelligence agents say it
had all the hallmarks of Russian disinformation. Nobody paid a
(34:42):
price for this. In fact, many of those people got
promoted into positions of higher power. And to a large extent,
you guys are hearing this and you're listening and you're saying, wow,
this is crazy stuff. If you read the New York Times,
in the Washington Post, you watch CBSNBCABC, you have no
(35:06):
idea this is true. You don't ever see this story.
It's not just in what they cover that the media
power exists. It's in what they choose to ignore. And
a lot of people miss that second part. They're just
(35:27):
pretending this doesn't exist. Think about the way that they
covered a few hundred dollars in Facebook ads that Russia
was playing around with during the twenty sixteen election. Democrats
built that into Russia, installed Trump, all of the Russia
collusion business. Again, I have a particular level of expertise here.
(35:51):
We bought Facebook ads. Every media company on Earth has
bought Facebook ads. A lot of you are small business owners.
You bought Facebook, Google to Twitter ads, whatever they are.
You know how much money you have to spend tens
of millions of dollars to really get your message out.
The Trump and Kamala campaigns are going to spend hundreds
(36:13):
of millions of dollars and it's not going to move
the needle that much in terms of their campaign. They
tried to argue to you that Russia buying a few
hundred dollars in ads, few thousand dollars in ads at
the upper end rigged the twenty sixteen election. Meanwhile, they
won't cover the actual rig job of the twenty twenty election.
(36:38):
Nobody's been held accountable, and scarily, we don't even know
who the person was that caused this code read to
be ordered that rigged the twenty twenty election that Mark
Zuckerberg is telling us all about. More on this but
up next. Riley Games here on clay Buck
