Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome in Monday edition Clay Travis buck Sexton show. You
have got me solo this week as Buck is in Taiwan.
Hopefully China doesn't invade this week. That would be quite
the reporting from Buck over there. But in all seriousness,
he is in Taiwan. He will be back next week.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
I've got you.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
Guys this week solo, as there is a ton of
news that is going on right now in real time.
I hope all of you had fantastic weekends. I was
down in Athens, Georgia, saw the Great Georgia Bulldog team
lose its thirty three game home winning streak to Alabama,
(00:43):
and also interviewed Paul Finbaum. Will play a little bit
of that for you. If you are a college football fan,
you certainly know who Paul Finebaum is. He told me
in an exclusive sit down interview that he is potentially
going to run for senate in Alaha, Babama. That story
is going to ricochet around everywhere, and trust me, there's
(01:06):
more coming there. We'll maybe get into that a little
bit in the hours that we have to spend ahead,
but let me kind of set the table on all
of the craziness and zaniness that is underway right now.
President Trump is trying to get a Middle East peace
accord relating to Gaza. Nearly two years after the October seventh,
(01:29):
twenty twenty three Hamas attack on the innocent people of Israel.
The fallout has now continued for nearly two years. The
war in the Middle East there has gone on for
nearly two years, Net and Yahoo. Right now at the
White House meeting with President Trump, there are reports that
there is a twenty one point piece packed that the
(01:51):
United States is trying to get agreed to by both
Hamas and Israel that would bring this or to a close.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
So that is going on right now.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
There is potentially and you guys know that I kind
of roll my eyes over this because I don't know
necessarily that very much changes, but there is potentially going
to be a shutdown of the federal government. Some of
you are like, Yay, why don't we shut it down
more frequently? October first, that would go into effect if
(02:21):
we do not get essentially an agreement worked out in
the next I don't know what, thirty six hours or so,
then the federal government would shut down. My general proposition
on government shutdowns is they've happened so many times over
the last twenty five or thirty years that no one
really cares that forty years, I guess, going back to
(02:43):
the Clinton arrow was the first time I remember the
whole government shutdown process turning into a big political issue.
Eventually they get a worked out solution, but a lot
of people want to tell you that there is going
to be substantial drama there. Eric Adams has dropped out
of the New York City mayor's race. There are three
(03:04):
primary races that are scheduled to take place in a
little over a month. Mayor of New York City, Governor
of New Jersey, Governor of Virginia. In the first real
test to see what if anything, has shifted in the
one year since Trump was elected as President of the
United States. Eric Adams again the current mayor of New
(03:26):
York City, dropping out. That leaves Curtis Leewa and Andrew
Cuomo as the competition running against Mamdanni. Mamdanni is a
big favorite right now if you look at the prediction
markets to be elected, and it would need to be
a one v one battle in New York City for
this to turn into anything of any substantial significance.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
JK. Rolling in terms of the closeness of that race. JK.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
Rowling, who might be my favorite public celebrity in the
world right now, just went scorched Earth nuclear bomb style
on Emma Thompson, who played Hermione Granger in all the
Harry Potter movies, over trans related issues. I'm going to
(04:13):
read you some of that because I read it this
morning as I was drinking my Crocket coffee and I
just thought, man, I didn't even need coffee this morning.
I just needed Harry Potter author JK. Rowling to jump
into did I say, Emma Thompson Emma Watson. Emma Thompson
is also a British actress, isn't she a lot older?
Speaker 2 (04:31):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (04:31):
All right, well that's a whiff by me right out
of the gate, Emma Watson. I don't know how many
of you caught that, but thanks to the team for
being on top of that. Yeah, Emma Thompson, much older,
probably much less famous British actors I believe as well.
But yes, Emma Watson who played Hermione Granger in all
of the Harry Potter movies. So I want to start, however,
with an awful story that happened yesterday in the state
(04:55):
of Michigan. A Mormon church was burned down, four people
were killed. Caroline Levitt went on I believe this was
Fox and Friends this morning, to talk about what we
know about that Michigan shooting, about that latest attack on
religion in the United States. A church burned basically to
the ground and four innocent people killed. This is what
(05:18):
Caroline Levitt had to say.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
We know at this point in time is that he
was a member of this Michigan community, that he is
a veteran of our United States Armed Forces. He serves
in the United States Marine Corps in Iraq. His family
is cooperating with the FBI, and so they are currently
trying to dig in and get to the bottom of
why he committed. There's just this heinous act of violence.
(05:42):
It's unfathomable.
Speaker 4 (05:43):
And as the President rightfully put in his true social yesterday,
this appears to be yet another targeted attack on Christians,
and the Trump administration is fully committed to not only
investigating these crimes, but prosecuting them to the fullest extent
of the law, but also working very hard to prevent them.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
Okay, so we will continue to monitor that story as well. Again,
there are tons of different things underway right now, Middle
East peace with the White House, potential government shut down.
And this is probably the story that got the most
attention during the course of the weekend. It is the
charges against James Comy, and I wanted to play this.
(06:28):
Comy actually did an interview with CNN right before he
got indicted. This is back in May, saying he was
never able to get me. Here is Comy taunting Trump.
This is cut eight and again. Two felony indictments in
northern Virginia in a blue area that would be very
(06:52):
favorably disposed to James Comy. But listen to how cocky
he was about believing that there would be no concert
coinsist for his actions.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
Cut eight.
Speaker 5 (07:01):
Yeah, I'm still considered a villain in Maga world. I
hope I said that correctly. Although I've offended enough people
in Maga world it doesn't matter at this point. I'm
not sure exactly why that is. I often joke on
the relationship that Trump can't get over wakes up in
the middle of the night thinking about me and how
I'm living my best life. I think it has some
combination of I really have had a happy, productive life
(07:25):
since then and then I spoke out about him and
that despite their absolute best efforts, they were never able
to get me.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
Well, a little bit spoke too soon. He should have
maybe started to high step into the end zone, NA,
seeing that you still had one defender left, and he
got flattened right before he was going into the end
zone when he thought the statute of limitation was going
to run out. I haven't heard very many people talk
about this. We talked about it on the program and
the immediate aftermath of the indictment. This is deep blue
(07:58):
Alexandria Virginia. For those who of you who know the
DC area, well, Northern Virginia very much of a connected
hotspot for the Democrat Party based on his proximity to Washington,
d C. It's not as if they went to my
home state of Tennessee or Alabama, or West Virginia or Wyoming,
(08:19):
some state that overwhelmingly voted for President Trump and got
an indictment. Not only did they go to a state
that Trump lost, they at Virginia. They also have five points.
They went into the bluest part of that state, one
of the bluest parts in the country.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
And I think this should be hammered home more. I
give jd Vance credit here.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
He's one of the few that has been pointing this
out for everybody out there saying, oh, this is unbelievable,
this is unprecedent.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
We know they're liars.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
They didn't say anything when they tried to bankrupt in
prison and kill Trump. But even if you wanted to
make an argument that this was some sort of unprecedented
attack on norms of American life, that's already happened with
what Democrats did, but they did it in a rigged
jury pool that advantaged them massively. We got these double
(09:09):
indictments coming down in northern Virginia where likely the majority
of the people on the grand jury, probably the vast
majority this is seventy five to twenty five area that
is in favor of the Democrat Party. The vast majority
of these grand jurors that indicted James Comey were actually
Kamala Biden Obama voters. Here's jd Vance pointing that out
(09:31):
cut eleven, this was.
Speaker 6 (09:35):
A grand jury indictment delivered in Alexander and Virginia, not
exactly a hotbed of Donald Trump's political support. And to
the people who are saying that this is all political.
I mean, look, if you look at our track record
in the Trump administration, there have been people who have
been prosecuted who have been political allies who agree with
our politics. There have been people who disagree with our politics.
We're not letting politics drive this. We're letting the requirements
(09:57):
of the justice system and the law drive this. And
unfortunately for James Comy, when I look at this indictment,
I see a guy who lied under oath, and he'll
have his dan court, he'll have his opportunity to prove
the other case in front of the jury. But the
idea that this is driven by politics, I think is preposterous.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
So I think Jade Vans is exactly right now. I
still would argue that it's unlikely that we're going to
see a conviction of James Comy because the jury pool
is going to be a seventy five percent probably Biden
Kamala voting jury pool, and I think at least one
of those jurors will say, I'm not convicting James Comy
(10:36):
because I hate President Trump, and they're not going to
look at the actual facts here. Also, we've got an
Obama appointed judge who I believe is going to be
very favorably disposed towards James Comy. Having said all of that,
Lindsey Halligan getting a double indictment here right before the
statute of limitations expires is huge. And here is and
(10:57):
I want to talk about some of this. Here is
where this can become a much more significant factor going
forward if they are able to get someone to testify
against James Comy. Is there someone out there in the
FBI who has seen the light of day and is
(11:18):
willing to tell the truth and knows that James Comy
was encouraging leaks or leaking himself related to this Russia
collusion hoax. Remember that is what he is being prosecuted for,
not even necessarily the leaks, but just potentially perjuring himself
under testimony in front of Congress. The only ways that
(11:42):
you can prove perjury right are circumstantial evidence, that is,
all of the other factors that prove that someone knowingly
lied surrounding the lie or and this is a part
of the circumstantial evidence, but direct evidence from someone who
knows that Komy was lying, someone who is testifying that
(12:04):
Comy knew that his testimony was dishonest, untrue, in front
of the UH, in front of that Congressional committee. That
to me is one of the questions that I have
out here. How are they going to put this case together.
It's a challenging case, it's a challenging judge, it's a
challenging jury pool. But Lindsay Halligan getting that indictment where
(12:28):
she did up against the timeframe is an incredible accomplishment
by her UH, and I do think has set the
table for there to be consequences for all of these
acts that were put in place against President Trump. All right,
no guest schedule today, eight hundred and two two two
eight two. We'll take a bunch of your calls, a
bunch of your talkbacks. Appreciate all of you again. Tons
(12:51):
of different current event stories that we are monitoring, including
a hearing related to the Charlie Kirk assassination that is
also taking place out in Utah that we will be
on top of as well. So a lot of different
breaking news stories. We're going to keep you updated on
all of them as we roll through. And in the meantime,
(13:11):
I want to tell you it's fall. It's fall now,
and the weather's getting a little cooler, and the leaves
are starting to change color, and soon the leaves are
going to be coming down in abundance. And if you
have a ton of gutters, that means your gutters are
going to be getting clogged. Now Here at the Travis household,
we never have any idea what's going to be in
the gutters because the boys are playing sports in the
(13:32):
backyard all the time. I've told you guys about trying
to figure out why my gutters were clogged. And then
wiffleballs were all piled up for the boys been hitting
foul balls, been hitting home run balls into our gutters.
We had to go up and go get those. This
is what leaf filters all about. You can get a

Speaker 1 (14:46):
Welcome back in Clay, Travis buck Sexton Show again. We
are monitoring a ton of different stories that are happening
in real time. Middle East piece kind of a big
deal right now, Benjamin Ett Yahoo in the White House.
We got the Mormon Church attack in Michigan, Eric Adams
dropping out, the Kome fallout, and I do want to
(15:10):
play some of what they are telling you about the
Kome fallout, which is not going to stun you. But
the inability to understand what's going on, Chuck Schumer here,
I should say it's not the inability to understand, it's
the lack of willingness to recognize that Democrats put all
this in motion. And I want to continue to talk
(15:32):
about this because I do think it's significant.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
This is a paper cut.
Speaker 1 (15:37):
They basically tried to bankrupt, they tried to kill, they
tried to imprison for the rest of his life President Trump.
They went after the actual top of the Republican Party.
Komy is the seven hundred and sixty eighth most powerful
person in America. He may not even be that high.
(15:58):
He's I believe, a registered Republican. And these charges are
basically a paper cut compared to the nuclear bomb that
Democrats were willing to unleash on President Trump and all
of his supporters. Now this is just the beginning. But
understand what Democrats are saying. Chuck Schumer is saying. No
president has ever weaponized the DOJ like Trump Cut fourteen.
Speaker 8 (16:23):
I have no faith in Donald Trump's judicial system. He
has turned this judicial system to be his own political
of political fighter, do what he wants politically, so that
he tells them to go after people he doesn't like.
He tells them to exonerate people that he likes. So
(16:43):
many people are getting pardoned in this and that he
has turned this Justice Department into his own political watchtok.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
It's horrible.
Speaker 8 (16:53):
No president has done this. This is what autocrats do.
This is when Trump says he wants to be king
to do it.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
Yeah, okay, so that's what they're arguing. Chuck Schumer, of course,
said nothing at all while they tried to bankrupt in
prison and basically kill President Trump. We got a bunch
of talkbacks, but the news out there, I'll hit this
when we come back. They have had a hearing on
the Charlie Kirk assassin. They have now said October thirtieth
(17:23):
will be the next hearing. Proceedings are going to be
open to the public as that story continues to play
itself out. I also want to talk about the continued
impact of Charlie Kirk's life when we come back. During
the course of this program, amazing turning point event at
the Oregon Penn State Game where five thousand Penn State
(17:46):
students were wearing the T shirts that Charlie Kirk was
wearing when he was shot. The impact continues to echo, reverberate,
and resonate throughout the entirety of the country. I want
to tell you now about rapid radio and the impact
they can have in helping so many people out there
be able to stay in touch with people that they
care about the most. If you're running a business, connecting
(18:08):
with employees is key phones an email. But if you
want to send a message quickly, how about rapid radios.

(18:53):
back in Clay Travis buck Sexton Show. Like I said,
lots of different news going on right now. There's an
update being given on the deadly church shooting and fire
in Michigan. We will have the team role on that
to make sure what information is going to come out
about that attacker who is now dead and what his
(19:17):
motivations might have been. I think you don't attack a
church and light it on fire and typically be a
super religious person who thinks the church is doing amazing work.
So I think we have pretty good sense that anti
religion was a substantial part. Anti Christian, anti Mormon violence
was a substantial part of his goal. But again, that
(19:39):
is going on right now. Governor Whitmer of Michigan is
having that press availability and discussing what exactly happened there. Also,
we have been talking about the fact that there is
a meeting going on right now in the White House
between net and Yahoo and Trump relating to a Mid
(19:59):
East peace accord of some degree. And there has just
been a report that came out that Israeli Prime Minister
Netanyahu spoke on the phone with the Prime Minister of
Qatar and apologize for violating Katari's sovereignty in the strike
on Doha and express regret for the killing of a
(20:20):
Katari security guard. Call took place during the meeting going
on right now between net Nyahu and Trump, that is
according to Axios. Okay, So there are just a ton
of different moving parts as we are dealing with all
of these different meetings going on right now. Not to
(20:41):
mention There is also the looming government shutdown, which people
may get fired up about, but I think the majority
of you understand is more sort of political posturing than
anything else. Eventually, unfortunately, what's going to happen is both
sides are going to agree to spend more of your
money and the national debt is going to grow. So
(21:02):
we are just trying to monitor all of these details
as they are continuing to come in. I also think,
as we come up on the two year anniversary of
the attack on October seventh, that Trump isn't just looking
for a short term solution to the situation in Gaza.
(21:22):
This twenty one part piece potential agreement is incredibly detailed,
and it's designed to try to preserve some form of
lasting peace in the region. The fact that Netanyahu is
apologizing to Qatar is I think indicative that there is
a potential substantial progress.
Speaker 2 (21:43):
Being made here.
Speaker 1 (21:44):
But also keep in mind that net Yahoo is increasingly isolated.
Reports were that when he flew from the from Israel
to the United States that he tried to avoid air
space of some European countries and added an extra hour
to his trip because he was worried about potentially entering
(22:07):
into the airspace of countries that have said that he
could be arrested for war crimes.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
So this.
Speaker 1 (22:18):
Is pretty pretty staggering that we could be in a
situation where one day Net Yahoo, if you were to
touchdown on the soil in many different European countries, most
European countries at this point, certainly most of the Western
European countries, that he could be arrested and charged with
war crimes. That's how much people have completely lost their
(22:40):
minds on this story and this issue, and I think
Trump deserves a great deal of credit for trying to
work through and figure out a solution to this. Now
we also have the Ukraine Russia conflict, and over the
weekend Russia launched one of its biggest drone incursions and
(23:01):
attacks of the war as well, and there is talk
now that Ukraine is going to get more advanced weaponry.
So I think Trump expected for the Ukraine Russia war
to be easier to solve, and I think he had
hoped that he would have the Middle East situation resolved
at this point in time as well. But at least
we are moving towards a potential solution there. Team is
(23:24):
monitoring the Gretchen Witmer live press conference, and so far
she has spent said that she spoke with Trump and
that she is sending her condolences, and that press conference
just wrapped. Again, we'll see whether or not there are
any additional news stories to come out of that just
(23:44):
happening in Utah. This was the latest hearing on the
Charlie Kirk assassination. Here is the judge assigned that case.
Cut thirty four from Judge Tony Graff. Here is what
just happened in that Utah courtroom.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
Listen.
Speaker 9 (24:00):
I will not put my finger on the scale of justice.
These proceedings will be open to the public, conducted in
accordance with the law, and handled with diligence and competence
to ensure that justice is never compromised. It is the
standing order of this Court that mister Robinson shall be
allowed to appear in person so he can fully engage
(24:21):
with his attorneys and participate in these legal proceedings. Council,
regardless of who is watching, whether it is the nation
or single individual, we must fulfill our roles with integrity, civility,
and diligence. I encourage each of you to give your
very best to this case, neither mister Robinson nor the
(24:43):
people of Utah deserve anything less than the fair and
impartial administration of justice.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
We're going to dive into this during the course of
the program a bit more because the Charlie Kirk fall out,
the reverberations of his assassination are continuing to impact the
in a significant fashion. And some of you may well
have noticed this at the Oregon Penn Steak game. So
I talked with you all about the fact that Charlie
was a big Oregon fan. And I give a lot
(25:13):
of credit to Turning Point USA.
Speaker 2 (25:15):
They had a.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
One mile line one mile line of young college age
students who wanted to get these freedom T shirts that
were in blazon that Charlie Kirk was wearing when he
got shot. They had a white out. Everybody wore white
shirts inside of Beaver Stadium. Now, Oregon Ducks got the win,
(25:39):
but there were five thousand kids that were wearing freedom
white T shirts inside of the Penn State Students section.
And I do believe that the impact of the Charlie
Kirk assassination is continuing to provide profound and positive consequences
(25:59):
in any different respects, including and I'll play this a
little bit later for you. Paul Feinbaum of the ESPN
and the SEC Network, in fact, I'll probably start the
next hour talking about this, said that he couldn't stop
thinking about the Charlie Kirk assassination because he spends so
much time on college campuses himself, and I was with
him on a college campus at the University of Georgia
(26:22):
this weekend, and he just couldn't stop thinking about it.
And it has him potentially now entering the political arena,
and it's already had him. He said he was tired
of not being honest, coming out and saying, hey, I'm
a Trump voter, I'm a registered Republican, even inside of Disney,
where that has not been very favorably received. I'm not
(26:44):
willing to stay quiet anymore. And he said a big
reason why is what he saw happen with Charlie Kirk.
So we'll play you some of those cuts, we'll continue
to react, I'll take your talkbacks when we return, also
your calls, and as I said, at four or five
different major stories, all taking place right now being updated
(27:04):
in real time, We'll continue to keep all of you
updated with the absolute latest there too, but I want
to tell you about one of our newest sponsors here
on the program, Cozy Earth. And this is actually this
is funny. So Cozy Earth has phenomenal product and they say, hey,
(27:24):
whenever a new customer comes on, as part of the
new customer, both Buck and myself and our families, they'll say, hey,
we want to send you some of our products so
you're aware of what we do. And I told my
wife and she said, oh, this is unbelievable. And what
did she order, Producer Ali, They said it was one
(27:45):
of the they seventeen sets of sheets? Is that what
they said? It was one of the biggest orders they
had ever seen in the history of somebody doing live
radio reads, because they say, hey, you can go on,
you can order whatever you want.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
And we ordered.
Speaker 1 (28:02):
And I pulled into the garage yesterday coming back from Georgia,
and she had boxes and boxes of their gear that
had arrived here because she was so excited about what
they do. Look, my wife is an expert on this,
probably not going to surprise you guys that I'm not
an expert, but I have now seen and I have learned.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
Okay, so here's what they have.
Speaker 1 (28:23):
They have sheets blankets, pajamas, so much more, and my
wife got I'm told the bubble cuddle blanket. I don't
even know what this is, but I'm told it's one
of the most comfortable blankets that exists on the planet.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
Welcome back in Clay Travis buck Sexton Show. I told
you guys, I will get to many of your reactions.
No guest today, Buck is in Taiwan and so he
will be back with us Monday. I've got you this
week entirely myself, So just FYI, I'm going to hit
a bunch of your talkbacks here. Let's go with I
(30:13):
believe AA was the first in the cut sheeet, guys,
let's just run through a bunch of these in order.
Cut AA.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
Please.
Speaker 10 (30:20):
Hey guys, this is Amanda. I'm in Brentwood, Tennessee. Clay
actually know your wife. She is a total badass. We
used to run together, well, I used to run behind her.
She's really fast. I was just going to share that
I have kids. They're eighteen and twenty one, and when
it comes to punctuation and emojis and text, just don't
use any of them. Don't use any It seems rude
(30:41):
to me. But it actually simplifies things, So just cut
them all out.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
We've got a lot of people reacting to topics on
basically everywhere under the sun, and if you are in
any way trying to interact with kids on a day
to day basis via text, it's almost impossible to tell
what's going on.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
I think that was the reaction there.
Speaker 1 (31:02):
Podcast listener Tim and Michigan's he listened to Jack Schittarelli.
I got it right that time, and here's what he
had to say.
Speaker 11 (31:10):
Just listen to the Jack Sidarelli interview.
Speaker 12 (31:14):
Wow, that was really good. He didn't diege anything. One
of the best interviews ever. Thank you, gentlemen.
Speaker 2 (31:22):
Megadtos Tim.
Speaker 1 (31:25):
That was a Friday show, maybe Thursday show. I can't
remember exactly. Tim from Arizona listening out at KFYI.
Speaker 2 (31:32):
I already have screwed up one thing.
Speaker 1 (31:34):
I got Emma Thompson and Emma Watson mixed up, and
here is Tim weighing in on.
Speaker 11 (31:40):
I'm a Harry Potter fan and I just wanted to
let you know that you weren't far off. Emma Thompson
and Emma Watson were both in Harry Potter and they're
actually both in Beauty and the Beast too. Emma Thompson
played one of the professors in Harry Potter.
Speaker 2 (31:56):
There you go. This is an easy mistake anybody could
have made.
Speaker 1 (31:59):
But I'm going to talk about this a little bit
later in the program because JK. Rowling has finally fired
back at Emma Watson. Many of the Harry Potter crew
have been furious with JK Rowling because she's been willing
to speak out on the absurdity of transgender this idea
that men can become women, and Emma Watson appears to
(32:21):
be stepping back from that criticism as many others are
now starting to speak out about the absurdity of it.
Here's Moses in Western Montana. What's got what got going on?
Speaker 12 (32:34):
Look at did we do something wrong over the weekend?
Why are you punishing us listeners? Having to listen to
Chucky Schumer talk is almost as bad as listening to
Andrew Como sanctimoniously patronize everybody no more shuck.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
So that was Schumer trying to argue that what Trump
is doing is unprecedented. I do want to mention this
because it is big news and it is getting note
under a bit. Eric Adams, the current mayor of New
York City, dropped out of the race for New York
City mayor yesterday. Here's the problem, Mom Donnie, as long
(33:12):
as he still has two opponents, Kurtis Leiwa and Andrew Cuomo,
is going to win comfortably. We had one of our
callers last week was upset that I was sharing that,
and he said, well, you know Poles, you can't trust him.
I actually think one of the most interesting places you
can go on the internet if you want to get
(33:33):
a real sense of where people are putting their money
down is Calshi, which is legal in the United States.
Speaker 2 (33:41):
And right now.
Speaker 1 (33:43):
We've got a huge lead for mom Donnie to be
the next mayor of New York City, and that is
where people are putting their actual money in, not where
people are looking at Poles. And I'll talk a little
bit about that in a moment, but I wanted to
play both of these. Here is Eric Adams, cut twenty four,
(34:04):
dropping out of the New York City mayor's race.
Speaker 13 (34:06):
Hasband my honor to be your mayor, and I'm proud
to say that we took that victory four years ago
and turned it into action, making this city better for
those who have been failed by government. And yet, despite
all we've achieved, I cannot continue my re election campaign.
(34:31):
The constant media speculation about my future and the campaign
finance boy's decision to withhole millions of dollars have undermined
my ability to raise the funds needed for a serious campaign.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
Okay, so right now, in real time, there is an
eighty three percent chance, according to Kalshi, that Mom Donnie
is going to be elected mayor of New York City.
Andrew Cuomo has a sixth ten percent chance, Curtis Sliwa
has around a one percent chance. That means you can
legitimately put your money down, and if Sliwa won the
(35:10):
mayor's race, you would one hundred times your money. That
is the market's telling you that Sliwa has no chance.
I don't understand what Curtis Slee was doing. This feels
entirely like a vanity project. And I'm not saying you've
heard me argue on this program. I think probably the
best thing from a national political perspective is Mamdani winning.
(35:32):
I think it's an awful thing for New York City.
But he won the Democrat mayoral primary and now everybody's
scrambling to try to save Democrats from the choice that
they made. And the savior is Andrew Cuomo, who made
the worst possible decisions during COVID, who was forced to
resign as the governor of New York because of sexual
(35:56):
harassment allegations. This is the guy who's going to say
New York City, he was awful. He's just not a communist.
But these are the choices that are left now for
New York City. I would say Curtis ly One needs
to drop out. I still think Mam Donnie would win,
but the election is in thirty six days. As long
(36:17):
as there are multiple people splitting the anti Mam Donnie vote,
then there is no actual race to worry about here.
Mam Donni is gonna win. When we come back. The
impact of Charlie Kirk's death and it's continued, I think
positive echoes and reverberations. We will talk about that when
(36:38):
we come back. You guys can weigh in. Hope all
of you had fabulous weekends. Thanks for hanging with us
here on play and But
