Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to today's edition of the Clay Travis and Buck
Sexton Show podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Well, there you go, the sounds from Sydney as they
ended up bringing in twenty twenty six. Happy New Year
to you as we are getting ready to count it
down Stateside always won those oddities on New Year's Eve.
As we watch most of the rest of the world
go before us, you know that there's a lot to celebrate,
(00:37):
and a heck of a lot more to celebrate than
I think even most of Trump's biggest fans fully appreciate.
Hey there, Brian Mudd in for Claim Buck. It is
an honor and a pleasure to be here with you,
always is. I am in West Palm Beach, broadcasting from
my home station WJ and O, and it's chilly here,
(00:59):
chilly here, So I know that in most of the country,
especially along the East coast, it is a lot cooler.
To the north, Syracusan have getting like two feet of snow,
so yeah, interesting for a lot of folks. But anyway,
just a few miles away from El Presidente where a
lot's happened, right. One of the things that's remarkable, and
it's part of the reason why twenty twenty five has
(01:22):
been such a successful year in ways in which many
Trump supporters having even necessarily fully appreciated the man never stops.
Speaker 1 (01:32):
The man never stops working.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
So while a lot of us have kind of been
in holiday mode, Trump's been working. So yeah, he's been
at mar A Lago. On Sunday he had Ukrainian President Zelenski.
Then very early in the morning he was talking to
the Impaler. He was talking to to Putin about the
progress with those piece talks. Then Monday rolls around and
(01:56):
he's got Prime Minister Benjamin Nyahu at mar A Lago.
Constant the man never stops. The rest of us too,
and so on that note, it's really easy for us
to take for granted so much at the success. And
you have the old political question, are you better off
(02:17):
than you were four years ago? Well, we don't have
to take a look that far back to realize how
much better off we are than a year ago. I mean,
but in mine, are you better off than you were
a year ago? Heck yeah, if you're the average American
living the typical life you are, and even if you're
sitting there going yeah, but things are still expensive. Even then,
if you're the average person living the typical life. You
(02:40):
are better off financially than you were a year ago.
And it's all part of what I'm going to break
down on today's show is I walk you through what
Trump promise.
Speaker 1 (02:48):
You talk about, promises made, promises kept.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
Walk you through a Trump promise and then also the
receipts on that, along with a lot of the news
that we've got going on right now, which includes the
Minnesota fraud situation. On that particular note coming up at
the top of the second hour of the show, Congressman
Byron Donalds, he is on the House Oversight Committee. The
(03:12):
House Overside Committee is going to be overseen Minnesota fraud hearings,
including with Governor Walls. Be interesting to get his perspective
on that, and also a lot of the legislative successes
and what comes next. We do also have a deadline
day today for the Obamacare subsidies. We'll be talking about
(03:33):
that as well. In the implications, again, the crisis isn't
that we have Obamacare subsidies that are expiring today. The
crisis is Obamacare itself. And the fix isn't to keep
the broken thing going, it's to truly resolve it with
a better way forward, which is what's being worked on again.
(03:53):
We'll discuss We'll all so check in with an Attorney
general to get the perspective on the way things should
be handled in Minnesota as well Florida. A G. James
Othmeier will join us coming up at the bottom of
the second hour of the show as well. So as
we dive in one of the things I did and
(04:14):
reflecting on all of the success and then documenting on
all of the changes and things that have happened this year,
I went back to my opening monologue for this year
and the opening monologue that I had that I shared
with my audience the Brian Mud Show, by the way,
and get the Brian Mudshow podcast where wherever you get
your podcasts. Also check me out socially at Brian Mud Radio.
(04:39):
I ended up sharing this message and I went back
and it's like, holy cow, it's pretty incredible because a
progress being made in so many of these areas. So
I talked about this being our year, that this would
be our time as conservati satives, as Americans, and started
(05:05):
talking about if you'd waited for much of your life
hoping for fundamental changes within the way that our federal
government operates like having a heck of a lot less
of it intruding into your life, that this year would
be your year. So from IRS targeting to debanking and
(05:27):
any number of other activities, government less intrusive in your life. Yeah,
unless you're an illegal immigrant, No doubt it has been.
If you've been waiting for the death of political correctness
and wokeness, that this would be your year. Seeing any
(05:48):
progress there, political correctness being put out to pasture in
a lot of different places, wokeness not so cool anymore.
If you've been waiting for a time in which the
godless solace in slenderest legacy news media would become irrelevant, well,
that this would.
Speaker 1 (06:08):
Be your year.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
We saw in the election results last year how irrelevant
they had actually become, and we were going to have.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
Those huge changes this year.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
And you start to think about all of the massive
changes that have taken place in the media landscape, changes
at CBS, changes with NBC where MSNBC is now ms now,
when you have the complete divorce from the NBC broadcast
(06:44):
network and ms now even the BBC after their January
sixth scandal, you've had to change in leadership there. So
the impact has been felt around the world. You're able
to this year realize that as hard as it is
(07:06):
to get at the truth, you know, it is possible
to get what it is that you're looking for. In
an AI age. It's more complicated, but the sources of
information that mattered to you had become more relevant during
the course of this year, while the GSS legacy media
far less talked about If you've wanted the rule of
(07:31):
law to be upheld, how frustrated was that under the
four years of Biden and team Auto pen If you
wanted the rule of law to be upheld, this would
be your year. If you wanted equal justice under the law,
that ultimately this would end up being your year. But
if you wanted to seal the border and stop the
(07:54):
migrant invasion, that this would be your year. And holy cow,
I mean, even those of us who know that Trump
would get the job done, did you have any idea
he would be so incredibly successful so fast. And that
is followed up with if you had wanted the largest
(08:15):
deportation operation in American history to remove the record number
of illegal immigrants from this country, well that ultimately this
would end up being your year. And on the one hand,
with that, you go, okay, well, we know that Trump
had an enormous amount of success inclosing the border, stopping
the migroant invasion. Next to no illegal immigrants got aways
(08:40):
that are coming over here. The CPP one home app
that was used to fly illegal immigrants into this country
has been used only to send them outside of this country.
Once again, you might take a look at the deportation
piece to go hold on, well, Trump administration, maybe they
they've been thwarted by the courts.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
They haven't had as much success there as they wanted to.
Not at all.
Speaker 2 (09:05):
Actually, we have had the largest deportation operation in American history.
It's played out over two point six million that are gone.
The difference is for every illegal immigrant that's been deported,
you've had about four that have said, you know what,
not really thinking that where I want to hang out
is Alligator Alcatraz. Not really sure that I want to
(09:28):
wait around and see if they're going to go ahead
and nab me. So I think I'll just go ahead
and pick up and go back whence I came. And
that is huge running number of reasons because every time
you have somebody who deports themselves, they save us a
heck of a lot of money. There's so many things
we can be thankful for to the Biden administration when
(09:50):
it comes to illegal immigration, right and everything from housing
inflation as they took up all the affordable housing jobs
for the hard cost and aside from the hard cost
of you know, the people who would arrive at the
southern border and go a essay this way, I say asylum,
(10:12):
and you'd have a beaten down border patrol agent that
would go, oh, yeah, you're a magic a word person.
Where do you want to go? We can get you
set up with an NNGO. We'll go ahead and say
you up in a five star somewhere nice and comfortable
for you, maybe Manhattan if you want.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
Where As we had all that going on.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
We have been able to curb so much of the
abuse and the asylum system by the three Man in
Mexico policy, by these self deportations. But every one of
those self deportations saves us seventeen thousand dollars as taxpayers. See,
one of the many things you'd be thankful for to
(10:51):
the bide An administration is how much they cost us
every single day, because for every illegal immigrant to detain
them to put them in a place like Getter Alcatraz,
and then ultimately to fly them elsewhere. Ultimately to do
all of that cost us about seventeen thousand dollars. So yeah,
(11:12):
the self deportations the most efficient and effective way for
any number of reasons for people to go. If you've
wanted an end to high end inflation for life to
become more affordable, this year it would be your year.
That was one of the messages I had at the onset. Well,
you take a look at inflation, are we better off
than we were? Heck y, how we're better off than
(11:34):
we were? And again I'll break down the specifics on this,
but the average person, one of the big issues with inflation,
aside from the obvious, is that you just couldn't get
ahead because the average wage was not keeping up with inflation,
not by a long shot. The average person was consistently
doing worse under the Biden years.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
Not the case this year.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
If you take a look at the inflation rate, which
is lower than it was coming into this year. If
you take a look at the average wage growth, well
you see that you got more money at the end
of that. So things have gotten better. And of course
We've also had interest rates that have been coming down recently.
That'll help affordability and certainly the tailwind heading into next year.
(12:16):
Talked about if you wanted to take advantage of US
energy resources as opposed to being reliant on foreign sources
of energy, you know what, this was going to be
your year, and what's happened. Record amount of US energy production,
less reliance on foreign sources of energy. A big piece
of the affordability end has come on energy gas prices
(12:38):
lower than they were this time a year ago. Straight
across the board, we are seeing progress and it just continues.
Talked about if you wanted American companies to return manufacturing
to the US instead of relying on countries like China,
you know what, Ultimately this would be your year.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
And what have we seen.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
Did you know that the influence of China is far
less than it had been a year ago. Again, I'm
going to fill in a lot of these planks with
specifics coming up later in the show, But we actually
have made more progress and nothing you probably have even
realized while having a whole lot more jobs here as
we have had a record amount of investment into the
(13:20):
United States. Mention that if you wanted lower taxes, including
an end to tax on tips over time in Social Security.
This is your year, and man, is that ever the case?
Promises made, promises kept, the taxes on tips on overtime
gone Social Security, ninety percent plus of people on Social
(13:40):
Security not paying any taxes and Social Security anymore that
has been delivered. The big thing is a lot of
people haven't even realized that benefit because they didn't adjust
their withholding, which is why I keep hearing about record
refunds that will hit by the time you file on
your taxes. So there is so much more benefit there
that can be realized. And by the way, just starting
to scratch the surface of all of the progress that
(14:04):
has been made during the course of this year.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
I'll be right back with more. I'm Brian Mudd in
for Clay and Buck News and politics, but also a
little comic relief. Clay Travis and Buck Sexton. Find them
on the free iHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcasts.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
And there's a little bit of credibility on that. Right
after Trump dropped the mobs and you ended up having
the end of the nuclear facilities, there's so many different
things that have been accomplished this year that it's kind of.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
Like, oh yeah, kind of.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
Forgot because the President never stopped working and he has
had success against all twenty points of his plan to
save America, the plan that he ran on last year,
the plan that he's acted on daily, and that he
continues to straight through the holidays, because the man, unlike
the rest of us, never takes a day off, never
takes a day off. Hey, it's Brian mudd in for
(15:11):
Claim Buck, starting to just kind of walk you through
what the expectations were coming into this year. I'm going
to end up filling in the blanks with the receipts,
the specifics of the success that Trump has had on
every single one of these points throughout the course of
this year. I mentioned that the tax policy, it's where
(15:37):
we left off. He delivered on that. You know, if
you wanted a president who will defend our constitution and
our constitutional rights, this ultimately was to be our year.
If you wanted an end too foreign wars and conflicts
that entangle in offered or what paid for by the
US paid for by us, that this would be your year.
(15:59):
Holy cow, have we had incredible success there? The eight
different wars that Trump has put an end to how
many presidents, how many administrations said and into Iran and
Iran's nuclear facilities.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
Trump actually did it.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
And now as Iran is threatening once again, now he's
let them note that they're on notice.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
Right.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
So this is all part of what has been accomplished
that makes the world around us a little bit better
every single day. But also that is delivering on the
promises that he's made, the promises that he continues to keep.
And so when we take a look at what Trump
has accomplished this year, it's probably a lot more than
even you knew. We're going to continue next. Brian Mudd
(16:42):
in for Claim buck Fleet, Travis and Buck Sexton on
the front Lines of Truth.
Speaker 3 (16:58):
It was pretty late by the time we finished by
two thirty in Russia at two thirty in the morning,
and we had a very good talk. We spoke at
eight o'clock in the morning hour time, and it was
a very productive talk.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Yeah, that was President Trump after the meeting with Zelensky
and then the subsequent conversation with the Impaler with Vladimir
Putin in Russia, and that's what he was doing coming
out of the weekend.
Speaker 1 (17:24):
Well, a lot of us are.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
Kind of like in holiday mode and relaxed and looking
forward to the new year. Maybe having a good time
today tonight at Trump's trying to bring peace to Ukraine,
and the man just never stops. He works on Christmas Day,
he works on New Year's Eve, He'll work on a
New Year's Day every single day that Donald Trump is
(17:49):
President of the United States. The world is actually a
safer place. Hey there, Brian mut In for clean Buck.
Happy New Year, unless you're in New York City, in
which case you're getting ready to have Mom Donnie sworn in,
so good luck to you probably be more appropriate. I
left off as I'm talking about just the expectations I
had coming into this year based upon President Trump's promises
(18:13):
for this second term. And it's remarkable how much progress
has been made. And I'm going to deliver these specific
receipts for all of this later in the show. I've
got all the analytics on these items I'm covering, but
just rhetorically kind of thinking our way through what Trump
promised in the progress we've made. I ended the first
(18:35):
half hour the show by saying, if you've wanted an
end to foreign wars and conflicts, that entangle in an
often are paid for by the US.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
This is your year.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
Even the one that's proven to be harder than what
Trump envisioned, it would be one that he thought he
could end quicker, which is the Russian Ukrainian War. Even there,
we're not getting hosed, we're not getting ripped off anymore.
Speaker 1 (18:57):
What did we used to do?
Speaker 2 (18:58):
We would just give Ukraine anything like, hey we want
hundreds of billions of dollars, Hey we want all these weapons.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
Hey, we just and we would just give it. So
what has Trump done? Well?
Speaker 2 (19:08):
He said, well, you have some valuable resources in Ukraine.
How about we take some of those in return for
our generosity and NATO, as Biden would have said, U, NATO,
how about you actually buy.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
Weapons from US that are supplied to Ukraine.
Speaker 2 (19:27):
That way, the American taxpayer isn't hosted on the hook
for everything. So, even in the strategic support of Ukraine,
we've done it in a way in which you're better off,
even if you don't necessarily notice it day to day,
Which has really been the theme with President Trump, how
much success he's had that is easy to take for granted.
Within the first eleven plus months of his administration. So
(19:51):
kind of continuing with this theme, I mentioned coming into
this year that if you wanted an end to the
weaponization the federal government against select groups of people, that
this would be your year. Certainly don't have the kind
(20:12):
of weaponized government that we used to have in this country. Again,
unless you are an a legal immigrant, you don't have
to worry, if you're a conservative about the targeting, you
don't have to worry about being debanked. You've seen a
oneint eighty done by most financial institutions that traveled down
the deipath.
Speaker 1 (20:33):
Mention that if you wanted.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
An end to the migrant crime and drug epidemic, that
this would be your year. There's so many different things
that even as we're talking about combating the border crisis,
the largest deportation operation inside of eleven months that this country,
this world has ever seen the crime rate that has declined,
(20:56):
and again I'm going to break it down, but we've
seen double digit declines and crime prize because the average
non citizen had become over nine times more likely to
commit a crime than you were me under the buying administration.
Because as Trump might say, the bad ombraides were often
among those that were let into this country, the drug epidemic,
(21:16):
combating narco terrorists, the boats that go boom in all
of that, we've actually disrupted in recent months thirty percent
of all drug running activity into the United States. Pretty
big deal, not something that's really talked about. Mention that
if you wanted to see safety restored to our large cities,
that this would be your year. Well, look, we know
(21:38):
that everything is not a roaring success, and a lot
of it has to do with, you know, not being
able to help people that don't want to help themselves.
But even in cases where there has been strong resistance,
like DC, you look at the progress that's been made,
and look at the progress that could be made in
places like Chicago if they ever allowed the opportunity of
Trump's assistance to come through. It's to me where you
(22:01):
have these leaders in these large cities and they're like,
you know what, we like our high rate of crime,
and if you would actually have people that would support
politicians are like, yeah, you know what, I'm good with
high rates of crime around me. It's just great, fantastic,
especially this time of year. Mention coming into this year
that if you wanted to see our military rebuilt without
wokeness that this would be your year.
Speaker 1 (22:23):
Well, we certainly have seen that.
Speaker 2 (22:24):
Not only is there no DEI within the military anymore,
you don't have all of the the tranity soldiers that
are being welcomed in anymore. You know, the people that
will get end up getting into the military because they're like, hey,
if I get in there, and if I wake up
one morning and I'm a dude and who feels like
a lady, then I just go into the military and
the American taxpayer will go ahead and pay for my conversion.
(22:50):
Good times. Yeah, stuff's not happening anymore. Mention that if
you wanted to see the integrity of the US l
preserved around the world, that this would be your year.
And a lot of people take a look. Even right
now as we're closing out twenty twenty five, have the
price of gold and silver record highs and thinking, you
know what, there is a bigger issue looming here with
(23:12):
the US dollar. Look, we've got over thirty eight and
a half trillion dollars in debt. Things are not sunshine
lollipops that way, not going to pretend that it is.
But did you know that the US dollar is actually
a stronger reserve currency today than it was a year ago. Today,
you have five percent more US dollars that are backing
(23:35):
up foreign governments than a year ago, So it's actually
in a stronger position that way in terms of world influence.
A lot of the money, by the way, just speaking
purely at the financial markets that's rolled into gold and silver,
a lot of that has actually come from cryptocurrencies. If
you take a look the performance cryptos, they're actually negative
(23:55):
for the year, and that has been a lot of
what's been overlooked. Mention that if you wanted to see
Medicare and Social Security strengthened so that they're not soon insolvent,
this would ultimately be your year. There's a lot of
work that obviously has to happen there, including you know,
if we're ever going to solve the Medicare and Social
(24:16):
Security crisis, there's going to need to be a lot
of reform passed by Congress on that. But fraud, waste,
fraud and abuse, there's been an awful lot of it
that has been shut down in the Medicare and Social
Security programs. And again i'll bring you these specific receipts
on that, and just a bit when you might remember
Doge and Elon in particular diving into that very early
(24:38):
on in the administration and had a huge amount of
success with it. I mentioned that if you want wanted
an end to federal regulations they'll limit consumer choice and
drive up prices, that this would be your year. You
have had hundreds of federal regulations cut. If you want
(24:59):
reform and education, including the end of funding critical race theory,
gender fluidity, and like woke agendas through the US Department
of Education, that this would be your year. And in fact,
if you wanted an end to the US Department of
Education altogether, this very well might end up being your year. Well,
a couple things about that no department has been cut
more than the US Department of Education. Over half of
(25:24):
those that used to work in it no longer there.
You've had a lot of what they do that's been
outsourced to other federal agencies. You certainly don't have critical
race theory, gender fluidity, and all that kind of nonsense
that is being pushed through the US Department of Education
and funded by it anymore. Mention that if you want
an end to boys pretending to be girls and playing
(25:45):
their sports, that this would be your year. We certainly
have seen a lot of influence there, including the decision
by the NCAA to say, yeah, I don't think we're
going to let do to pretend to be women, play
competitively with women, and pretend to be One mention that
if you wanted an end to anti Semitism and related
(26:05):
hates being tolerated on college campuses, this would be your year.
The administration made enormous progress that way. We've seen turnover
it at notable institutions. You've seen funding that's been withheld.
There has been a great deal of progress. And if
you want greater federal election integrity measures, ultimately this would
(26:27):
be your year. Probably don't even realize in this awful
election year that there were several measures that were passed
to ensure that's the case. I'll bring you the specifics
so a little bit later in the show. And ultimately,
if you want the United States to be more prosperous
and more successful than ever before, that this would be
your year. The expectations laid out coming into this year,
(26:47):
and where did that all come from? Well, it did come,
as I mentioned, from Trump's twenty point plan to save America.
And it's easy to forget what it actually was. So
let's hit the twenty point plan just real quick. As
he outlined it, Trump's plan to save America was this,
coming into this year, to seal the border and stop
the migrant invasion.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
Has it happened.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
Yeah, carry out the largest deportation operation in American history.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
Has it happened? Yes?
Speaker 2 (27:15):
It has end inflation and make America affordable again. Okay,
ending inflation You're never going to do that. Is it
better than it was before?
Speaker 1 (27:23):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (27:23):
Is it is America affordable again? We got work to do,
but it is more affordable, and again you're making progress. Importantly.
The next one, make America the dominant energy producer in
the world by far. Has it happened? Yes, US energy
production at record levels.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
The fifth of.
Speaker 2 (27:43):
Trump's twenty point plan to save America, stop outsourcing, and
turn the United States into a manufacturing superpower. There's been
significant progress that way. Of course, his favorite word is tariff,
as he has been fast to remind us all throughout
the year, including in his primetime address not too long ago,
and that has had an enormous amount of success in
(28:06):
investment and expanded manufacturing in the United States, Large tax
cuts for workers, and no tax on tips. President certainly
delivered on that. Defend our Constitution, our Bill of Rights,
and our fundamental freedoms, including freedom of speech, freedom of religion,
the right to keep in bare arms.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
Yeah. Yeah, he's followed through on these things.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
To prevent World War three, restore peace in Europe and
in the Middle East, build a great iron dome missile
defense shield over our entire country, all made in America.
Again the eighth point on Trump's twenty point plan to
save America. Has he prevented World War three? Heck yeah,
he has. I mean that was pretty much the case
when he ended up winning the election. Lord knows where
(28:50):
we would be otherwise. Because Trump has always had credibility
on this. Remember, you know, I always think back to
his first administration where he had the left would freak
out and go, oh my gosh, Trump is going to
have the nuclear codes. And you know what, Mike, you
know what, even if you thought that Trump was the
crazy man with the nuclear codes, is that going to
make you more or less likely to provacate and be
(29:11):
a bad actor around the world. And then secondly, what
we saw is that he brought peace to the world.
Instability that was only undone by Biden and his weakness,
and a lot of that credibility came down to what
he ran on, which was back then Isis with its caliphate.
He said that if he became president that he would
end it. And what did he do. He bombed the
(29:33):
blank out of Isis the caliphate and they went away,
and we didn't have to worry about Isis again until
well Biden was president. And his weakness that has alone
just made Trump a peaceful figure on the world stage,
restore peace in so many places, the eight different countries
that restored peace to as he continues to work and
(29:55):
seemingly is getting somewhat close with Russia and Ukraine. By
the way, also, you do have something in motion for
the Iron Dome missile defense shield that he's talking about,
kind of his version of SDI the updated version. Of course,
everybody made fun of Reagan for that back in the
eighties until it actually was an enormous success. The ninth
