Speaker 1 (00:00):
I am in Jerusalem, in Israel. Buck is in Miami.
We're going to have a lot to talk about about
the things that I have been seeing here. Been touring
all over this country with the International Fellowship of Christians
and Jews, a lot, a lot to discuss. But this
morning in Israel, I went to go tour the terror
(00:23):
sites of October seventh, all over the southern portion of
Israel where these attacks took place. And one of those
places was the Nova Music Festival where over four hundred
young men and women were murdered in cold blood by
Hamas terrorists when they had gone to attend a music festival.
(00:46):
We are joined now by a mother of one of
the hostages who was taken there. Her name is Edith Ohell.
She is a mother of She will be with us shortly.
She was at this Nova festival and Buck. I went
to the Nova site. It is sobering on a level
(01:08):
that I'm not sure I've ever experienced before. It's still
raw the site itself, but they have different placards up
with the pictures of every individual who was murdered there,
and you can walk through all of them, turning and
looking at all of these different young faces everywhere you go.
(01:32):
These young men, these young women who were murdered in
cold blood, and their families for many of them, have
put up biographies, so you can read a few paragraphs
about all of these young people's lives. And I don't
know what the eventual situation on the site will be
(01:55):
buck but as I was walking around there fourteen months
after the deadliest day for Jewish people since the Holocaust,
I couldn't help but be struck by the fact that
hundreds of years from now, long after everybody has passed
that is listening to us right now, there will be
(02:18):
people going to this site to experience what happened to
Israel on that day.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
And I also.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Visited many of the different communities nearby. And we now
have Edith Ohel, whose mother who is the mother of Alon,
one of the hostages still being held after over four
hundred days. We appreciate you joining us. Can you tell
us eat it about your son and what October seventh
(02:50):
was like for you? How did you become aware of
what happened to him?
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Well, Firshie, thank you for letting me speak and talk
about this. They appreciate it alone. You know, it was
just that night before the seventh of October, decided to
go to the Nova Festival. He got the tickets that day,
(03:18):
so I know he was going to the Nova Festival,
and I know he was going with friends. He got
there around about five thirty in the morning, and like
a half an hour later, everything started to happen, you know,
rockets falling down, and they needed to find cover. So
(03:39):
they got into the car and they drove to a
bomb shelter, which is right like five minutes from where
the Nova Festival was. They got into this bomb shelter
and they were just thinking firstly that they were just
getting cover from the rockets. They weren't thinking about the
fact that they were uh harmas terrists coming into Israel,
(04:07):
three thousand terrorisms coming in. They were just you know,
So they were waiting about half an hour for the
rackets to stop, and and then Hamas comes to the
to the bomb shelter and starts to shoot people inside,
throwing grenades into the bomb shelter. This one person called
(04:31):
a Nile Shapira through uh back outside from the from
the bomb shelters they were throwing the Hamas throwing bombs inside.
He was taking the bombs in his hand and throwing
them outside. Alone also throw through two bombs and it
(04:51):
was horrific. It was terrible. One of the grenades Uh
exploded inside and Alona and you know, a lot of
a lot of people were injured. There were about twenty
seven people at that day in that bomb shelter. Now
you have to understand that bomb shelter can only you
know it can it can get inside and feel comfortable.
(05:15):
As you say, about six or eight people at that day,
there were twenty seven Alone's you know age group trying
to get cover from all of this. After the bomb
exploded inside the Hamas comes and Uh and grabs and
takes Alone and three others. One of them was also
(05:38):
Hirsh Golden boat called Nunbook Pouline. He was also taken
with Alone. We at that time was around seven o'clock.
We went with the dogs out and we understood that
something was going on. When my father called and said,
(05:58):
you know, something is going on. Where is Alone? Do
you know where he is? And I said, well, he's
at the Nova festival. So I wasn't that worried, but
he told me that something is definitely going on and
we should make sure that Alone is fine. So we
called him, he didn't answer. We wrote them in SMS
a what's up message, and about eight o'clock in the morning,
(06:22):
we asked him where he is and if he's fine,
and he said, and there was a message sent to
us that he was at a bomb shelter and that
he was fine. And right after that we asked, how
are you send pictures one to see and that was
the last time we were in contact. What we know
(06:44):
is that at eight o'clock was exactly the time that
he was kidnapped. Actually enforced disappearance, it's not a kidnapping,
it's more like an enforced disappearance, which is a little
bit different, and that was that. So when he was grabbed,
(07:05):
when they were grabbing him and pulling him and putting
him on the truck, his phone fell. So that was
that's why the message was the scent that that's exact time.
It's terrific, It's it's terrible. We I knew that Elo
was kidnapped when my husband came back from Sirocca Hospital
(07:26):
trying to find him. His phone actually was got there
because somebody at the bomb shelter that was not kidnapped
took the phone with him. And when a guy came
and to rescue the seventh that was that survived. Nineteen
(07:49):
were murdered that day after they took Alone and hersh
and know two others. The the hot mask comes and
shoots everybody to kill and the ones who survived were
injured but survived. They got to the hospital and one
(08:09):
of them survivor took Al on the phone. So so
my husband was going to Soroka to find him. Obviously
he didn't find him, but Alone's best friend was one
of the ones who survived and he actually told the
police what happened, so we knew that that was kidnapped
(08:30):
that day. Eat it.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
What has it been like to have a son held
hostage now for over four hundred days. How have you
and your family been dealing with that?
Speaker 3 (08:45):
It's it's it's it's terrible. It's it's you can't comprehend
the stress that we are going through knowing that Alone
was kidnapped. We don't know exactly where he is, we
don't know how he is, we don't know anything. And
just just to try to survive that is just inbearable.
(09:05):
You know, we're not working, me and my husband, what
we're trying to do for every second of the day
is advocate for him for a loan and make sure
that people know about this. And that's everything that govern
our government and hamas and whoever, and also obviously in
the States, make sure that some kind of an agreement
(09:28):
can can come and that there will come home. You know,
it's scary to know that each day is for them.
It's actually it's not an each day, it's every single minute.
It's hard thinking about what they have got, what he
(09:50):
is going for. You know, he's probably under the tunnels
for about four hundred and thirty days. Today he's probably
I don't know if he's getting enough food to eat.
I don't know if he's getting air. You know, it's
just you know, that basic right we're taking from him.
(10:13):
You know, I don't know if he's getting sleep. I
don't know anything. And for me, for a mother, it's
just sometimes I cannot breathe. You have to understand Alone
was taken from Israeli land, and what alone was in
the Nova festival. He was not fighting anybody, he was
not doing anything wrong. He's an innocent civilian that was taken, kidnapped,
(10:38):
brutally kidnapped from his home. You know Alone's friends were
kidnapped from their homes, from their homes, from their beds.
It's just it's not right. It's in any way, in
any you know, the ICRC, the Red Cross has not
(10:58):
seen them fo one hundred and thirty days, they have
not seen the hostages. Nobody knows except I guess harm us.
What's there? You know, status, Yes, I believe Alone was
taken alive. Okay, Alone was taking in love. There's a footage,
a video phootage showing that. So I know that a
(11:18):
lot that Alone was taken alive, and I believe in
my heart that he is alive. You know, the what
what they tell us is that he was taking a
love and as long as there's not any other thing
saying different, he's alive. So you know, this is a
(11:39):
humanitarian issue. This is not a political one. And it's
it's for me, it's it's all my life.
Speaker 4 (11:49):
You know.
Speaker 3 (11:49):
I have not seen my son. You know, he had
his birthday on the tenth of February, and I couldn't
talk to him. I couldn't say happy birthday, nothing. You know,
I'm thinking about the fact that that I that I
(12:10):
miss how I to hug it like how does it
feel to hug your son? You know, I sometimes I forget.
Sometimes I'm thinking about how a lung looks like. And
I have to look at pictures sometimes to remind me
exactly his color, his eye color exactly, you know, the
way his nose, you know is And Alani is also
(12:34):
a pianist. So the whole thing I'm thinking about is
I hope and I pray that he is sitting thinking
about music and probably playing with his hands. Now. I
was just thinking about, you know, the pianist. You know
the movie how there's a there's like a scene where
where he is in the and it's it's like in
(12:57):
the uh Shunk kind of you know where the Jewish
it's kept him, you know, somewhere, and he's like thinking
about how does he feel to play?
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Eat it.
Speaker 1 (13:13):
We want your son to be home and one hundred
other hostages, as you said, have still been held for
four hundred and thirty days. You wrote a great piece
that has posted it the Clay and Buck website, laying
out exactly your son's story, your family's pursuit of him.
I would encourage everybody to go check it out at
(13:34):

your family as well. Thank you for sharing this story,
and we hope that with Donald Trump coming into office
that there can be some sort of resolution and these
hostages can all come home.
Speaker 2 (13:47):
Thank you, Oh, thank you.
Speaker 3 (13:50):
I wish so too, Thank you, Thank you all right.

Welcome back into Clay and Buck. We're gonna take some
call and get some of your VIP emails this hour,
but also some news that is breaking here. Still a
person of interest in the United Healthcare CEO assassination has
been well hold on. They've identified this is breaking in
(15:41):
real time. Person of interest has been identified at the
killing of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson. This is by
New York Posts right now. He is identified as an
anti capitalist, former Ivy League student who liked online quotes
from the unibomber ted Kaczinski against the country's medical community.
(16:04):
So taken into custody and uh caught with a manifesto
appearing to list grievances with the healthcare industry taking on
enormous profits. According to sources, now, Clay, it is possible
that this is just a mistake or a giant coincidence.
I think the likelihood of that is vanishing with each
(16:27):
passing hour right now, but we'll continue to follow this closely.
I mean, I don't know about you. I've never been
caught with an anti healthcare personnel manifesto on my personal so,
you know, in.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
A McDonald's will also add buck, New York Times says
he had the same fake New Jersey ID as what
was presented. They believe in the hostel. He also had
a gun, a silencer, false IDENTI identification cards and you
say now the report also that he had a manifesto.
(16:58):
They also said the gun was like the one used
in the shooting. That is according to the New York Times.
Now they have not said.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
Not a lot of people have single action that that
same count and not a lot of people rolling around
with a silence. Also, I mean, this guy, if he's
got a silencer on her a suppressor, if he's got
a silencer on him, is it legal? Is it lawful?
I would guess no. And certainly if he's crossing state
lines with it, that would be no. So we'll see, Uh,
(17:26):
we'll break down that latest for you. But the story
about why he acted.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Is I mean, we'll we'll get into the details on
that when we come back, because there's a lot going
on there as well, and we'll take some of your
calls and and and continue to break down the Daniel

back in, Clay, Travis, buck Sexton Show appreciate everybody hanging
out with us. We're just telling you that they may
have gotten the United Healthcare murderer in custody altuone a
(19:05):
PA at a McDonald's, and that they are breaking down
everything you just heard. Buck and I run through all
of the details that are reported so far from both
the New York Times and the New York Posts that
make it appear as if that guy is in fact
(19:25):
the shooter. Now, all of that we don't know for sure.
We will break it down for you as more of
that information comes down. If you are just getting in
your car, you may or may not be aware of
what happened with the Daniel Penny case. Daniel Penny has
been found not guilty in that case, it is done
(19:46):
on a criminal perspective.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
The reaction is.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
Continuing to pour in from outside of the courtroom, and
we wanted to make sure that we played some of
that for you because the new question is will there
or won't there be protest riots, some sort of reaction
of an angry nature from BLM protesters in New York.
Speaker 3 (20:11):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
We played Jordan Neely's father saying the system is rigged,
let's do something about it.
Speaker 6 (20:19):
Well.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
Cut twenty five.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
Here is BLM leader Hawk Newsome calling for black vigilanteism.
Speaker 2 (20:29):
Listen to that cut.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
This was right outside the courtroom in the immediate aftermath
of Daniel Penny being found not guilty.
Speaker 6 (20:36):
Everybody else has vigilantes. We need some black vigilanites. People
want to jump up and choke us and kill us
for being loud. How about we do the same when
they attempt to oppress us. I'm tying, I know.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
You're looking for us to be like, oh.
Speaker 3 (20:58):
Go in much go No.
Speaker 6 (21:01):
This weekend, I want you to haul a community event
everywhere from the Bronx to Houston, to Seattle to Florida.
Black people haul community event and talk about what you need.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
Okay, Buck, that's a pretty aggressive call for black vigilanteism
against clearly he's implying white people nationwide. Now, the question is,
has the BLM fever broken to the sense that there
will not be major protests here? And also second part
(21:39):
of this, and you raised the question earlier, have police
now basically decided we're not going to allow these riots
to take place. We're not gonna be cowed by BLM
protesters in the same way they were four years ago
in the summer of twenty twenty, I wanted to play
(22:00):
that cut. What's your read on the reaction?
Speaker 2 (22:03):
Again?
Speaker 1 (22:04):
I do think the fact that the verdict comes in
around noon Eastern impacts things not dark yet, Meaning typically
most of the violence in the BLM riots happens in
the dark right when people are easy easier, it's easier
to move around.
Speaker 2 (22:21):
You aren't being.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Sort of followed as aggressively in the daytime. Are you
nervous about tonight in New York City?
Speaker 2 (22:30):
Buck? Based on this verdict in a limited way. Look,
I spoke to my own family about this, and I
just said, you know, stay, stay with your head on
a swivel. Stay frosty however you want to phrase it.
You know, just be aware that there could be some
people who are looking to cause trouble. But I actually
(22:51):
think that this is not even landing among Democrats so far.
I think that the you would expect nothing other than
what you just heard from that guy who's the BLM
person or whatever. I think the BLM brand, if you
can call it that. I think the BLM movement is
far weakened from what it was in twenty twenty. And
(23:14):
I think that people remember what happened and what a
basically just a negative for everybody. It was a negative
for everybody. The only thing you could say about it
was maybe it helped Joe Biden become president. But we
just had an election, right, So what really, you're going
to riot now? The Star? Oh, you want to give
the Trump administration even more of a mandate than they
(23:36):
currently feel they have based on this sweeping electoral victory.
Have a bunch of people start lighting neighborhoods on fire
and all of a sudden, have the National Guard come in, right,
I mean, this is what you're going to I think
that political calculations are going to be very different this
time around. So I'm not as concerned that I could
be misreading this. But right now it feels to me, Clay,
(23:57):
like there are enough people who say enough is enough.
You know, York City, in New York as a state
moved right in this election from twenty twenty. Wasn't quite
within striking distance of Trump being able to win or
be competitive, but there was a move to the right.
I think people have had enough. I think people have
seen enough madness.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
We also have another, even more explicit call for violence.
This is from Shavanna Newsom. These are all things that
are being said right outside of the courtroom. She is
the co founder of BLM New York. Listen to what
she had to say, Buck, It is clear to me
that there is a calculated attempt to incite misbehavior in
(24:41):
a reaction to this verdict. Let's listen and see what
she said to everyone.
Speaker 4 (24:46):
The only crime that Jordan Neely was guilty of was
the color of his skin. More But luckily for Daniel Penny,
his skin was not like Jordan's. Because you honestly wouldn't
have seen our face, the NYPD would have arrested him
after three hours. The justice system would have found him
guilty and shame on this jury because, to be real,
(25:07):
they didn't even try. Once the lesser charge was removed,
they came back an hour later and said it was deadlock.
Less than an hour twenty minutes later, they said not guilty.
These wonderful white people, I hope they celebrate their Christmas
while the Neely family is praying and asking God for comfort.
Goddamn them and goddamn America.
Speaker 2 (25:31):
You know, this is what you expect from BLM. This
is what you expect from people who take this side
of the of the kind of debate over how we
should have criminal justice in this country, how it should operate,
and also what the obligations of the state are to
protect people and to keep dangerous criminals off the streets.
(25:53):
I think that Clay, the momentum is not with these voices.
But by the way, I mean just just dripping with
racial resentment here too. I mean, everything is about Penny.
Penny is white. I'll help all the white people, I
hope all the white Excuse me. Anybody who is honest
knows that there is not a single conservative right now
listening to this who thinks that if Penny or a
(26:15):
black marine who had done exactly the same thing. Okay
that there would be you know, we would view this
any differently at all. Okay, we do not view this
through a racial lens. Other people, the left, the Marxist,
they want to view this through a racial lens. This
was about two human beings in a situation that one
of them incited after a long history of criminal activity
(26:38):
and scaring people and making them fear for their safety.
He did not intend to kill this individual. It was
an accident, but he did have a right to step
in and do something, and people wanted him to, and
the jury spoke accordingly.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
How do you think the media would cover it if
someone white said that black people needed to be targeted
with white vigilanteism.
Speaker 2 (27:05):
Yeah, of course. I mean it would be an absolute
five alarm fire. They would freak out. I mean, this
is the thing. What you really just see here is
this becomes a reflection of the racial dynamics and the
racial poison that the left injects into every discussion of
not just criminal justice, but justice in general, I mean
just society as well. They try to view this through
(27:26):
a divide and honestly, over the long run, divide and
conquer strategy, which is what the racial Marxists are always
obsessed with They view this as a question of power,
not a question of justice. This is a moment where
I think the jury, which I am of the understanding
Clay was a multi ethnic jury. The jury came forward
(27:47):
and saw what so many of us have seen, which
is somebody who felt compelled to step in because you know,
a lot of New Yorkers are just sick of somebody
coming on the subway and threatening to kill them because
they think that somehow that is I don't know what is.
And Jordan Neely's a dangerous was a dangerous schizophrenic, and
the City of New York arrested him in the City
(28:08):
of New York, failed to lock him up, and failed
to prosecute him and incarcerate him for a length of
time that would have kept him from being there. You know,
you start to see the failures of the state because
of the racial politics of the state, and specifically the
racial politics of New York City's District Attorney Alvin Bragg.
People are tiring of this. The jury has tired of this.
(28:30):
They just want us all to be treated like people,
protected under the law and treated equally under the law.
Speaker 1 (28:37):
Some breaking news on the United Healthcare CEO murder case.
Carol Markowitz, our friend has shared the name and a
photo of the individual, and it does look a great
deal like him, twenty six years old from Maryland, and
(28:58):
I believe there is about to be an NYPD press conference.
It sounds like they have got this guy that was
the shooter in that case. And he has been identified
as Buck, an ex Ivy League student, anti capitalist, climate
change activist. So one might say that we got a
(29:24):
case of far left wing violence here and maybe someone
being motivated by that.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
A Biden voter most likely, if we're just if we're
going to surmise, this guy's not Maga, this guy's not
a Trump person. This guy's some lunatic leftist. If you
look historically, who are the people that are assassins, They're anarchists,
they're leftists, they're communists. Uh, there's a reason for this.
Their their belief lends itself were always i should say,
inevitably devolves into a radicalism and not not really not
(29:56):
really surprised here. I think, what when when we find
out more about the individual. Clay, Let's take some calls
on this as well. Vip emails too coming up here,
and will follow this. But yeah, it looks like they've
got somebody who allegedly did it. You know, we'll see,
we'll follow up on this one. You know, the holidays

you walked in I did this as well. You walked
in the steps of Jesus.
Speaker 5 (32:09):
How was it?
Speaker 3 (32:12):
So?
Speaker 1 (32:12):
It's I wish every single person listening to us right
now would get the opportunity to come to Jerusalem, regardless
of your religion. I mean, you're within a few hundred
yards of holy places for Christians, Jews, Muslims. Jerusalem itself
is unbelievable in the context of we think of something
(32:35):
in our country as being old buck, if it's a
couple hundred years old, we're like, oh my goodness. I mean,
we're talking about looking at Biblical era monuments that were
built that are still standing thousands of years later.
Speaker 2 (32:49):
And the Temple Mountain has been there for a while,
been there a long time. Then the Western Wall has
been there for a long time. And to your point,
it is interesting not only to see these sites, but
also to walk in the steps of biblical history. It
(33:10):
just brings to stark relief so many different aspects of
modern life that is rooted in ancient history.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
And I would just I can't tell you enow. First
of all, there's hardly anybody here who's an American, so
there's nobody walking around in the comparison to normal in
the Old City of Jerusalem. You heard us talking about
visiting the border with Lebanon, about visiting the border with Gaza.
I've been all over this country over the last four days,
(33:41):
and I feel incredibly grateful to get to make this trip.
And I know many people have this on sort of
their bucket list, and I would encourage you to try
to fulfill that because I do think you would find
in many ways a spiritual awakening, regardless of your background,
if you have the opportunity to come here.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
The old the Old City of Jerusalem particular is amazing,
and I just I love my time around the Israeli
people as well. They're so they're so welcoming and honestly
happy to see Americans in particular, So it's it's a
great thing.
Speaker 3 (34:16):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
Angie in Birmingham, Alabama wants to weigh in on the
Penny verdict. What's going on, Angie?
Speaker 7 (34:24):
Hey, Well, okay, I'm in Birmingham and I deal with
psychiatric issues in my past history as a social worker,
and it is totally not racist. We all know that.
I will guarantee you most of the black community knows
this is not a racist issue. But BLM is all
about dividing and anger and wanting to have a reason
(34:48):
to protest. They've been waiting for any moment to protest.
Speaker 3 (34:51):
But my one thing that I thought was one of.
Speaker 7 (34:53):
You said, you know, yes, we're very sorry for his family,
Neely's family and the loss. The dad did not sound
like a dad who was sad.
Speaker 3 (35:03):
He sounds smug.
Speaker 7 (35:04):
He sounded like you owe us something.
Speaker 2 (35:07):
Well, I mean I don't. I don't want to thank you.
I don't want to judge a parent's grief. I mean,
I think, you know, I can start from the That
was Buck who said, by the way, I'm not in
his head. I don't know, And but I do think
that appearing because there's a payday involved now suddenly is
something that people are allowed to comment on and be
very aware of. And where were where was this family beforehand?
(35:29):
You know, I'm not going to say the man isn't grieving,
but I am going to say that suddenly he wants
a lot of money.
Speaker 1 (35:34):
Yeah, you're going to be a dad soon. I'm a
dad of three boys already. To not be involved in
your son's life in any substantial way and then show
up and file a wrongful death lawsuit when he dies
and decide that you need to be in the courtroom
and speaking. It's awfully interesting that you weren't there for
(35:58):
your son in life, but you decide to show up
in death and when you're seeking a payday. That doesn't
sound like the kind of dad that I would aspire
to be. I know, it's certainly not the kind of
dad that you would aspire to be, you know, be
there for your sons and daughters in life, to show
up after their death when you've had virtually no relationship
(36:21):
with them for their entire life, and claim that you
are some zealous advocate for your son. I'm sorry as
a dad, I don't buy it, and I think Daniel Penny,
the right verdict was given.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
If you cared about your son, you should have been
there with him before we got the United Healthcare killer
case a presser. We'll bring it to you in a
second
