Speaker 1 (00:00):
Second hour of play and Bock kicks off now. And
as you know, there was a series of major strikes
by Israel's air force on nuclear sites and high level
military targets, including individual military personnel and nuclear scientists all
across Iran just about I don't know, I can't do
(00:21):
the math, but in the last twenty four hours for sure,
probably like eighteen hours ago, and so we will continue
to follow that story closely. We've got Scott Jennings. We're
efforting him right now. He is in Israel. You know
Scott from the gentlemanly slaps that he dishes out over
at CNN to various Democrats and leftists on one of
(00:45):
their shows. We'll see we can get it. We're having
a little bit of technical issue because you know he's
on the other side of the world, so we'll see
if we can have him join us from Israel. Also,
just some other stories we are watching as we continue
to deep dive into the preemptive strike, which is what
Israel is officially calling it on Iran and its nuclear
capability and ballistic missile capability and the IRGC. I mean,
(01:06):
they just they went for it in a big way.
You have still the ongoing back and forth with Trump
and Newsom in Los Angeles and California. More broadly, Trump
put out this tweet I shouldn't say tweet truth yesterday
Clay the Biden administration and Governor Nuskum. He wrote, Nuskum
(01:27):
flooded America with twenty one million illegal aliens, destroying schools, hospitals,
and communities, and consuming untold billions of dollars in free welfare.
All of them have to go home, as do countless
other illegals and criminals who will turn us into a
bankrupt third world nation. America was invaded and occupied. I
am reversing the invasion. It's called remigration. Our courageous ice
(01:51):
officers who are daily being subjected to doxing and murder
threats are heroes. We will always have their back as
they carry out this noble mission. America will be four
Americans again. Very strong statement from President Trump on the
continued mission to both stabilize things in Los Angeles County
(02:11):
and continue the deportation operations. It was pretty stunning, Clay,
but I guess not surprising. A lower court judge slapped
down Trump's deployment of the National Guard basically said Trump's
not allowed to do this. Gavin Newsom is the only
one who can call the shots. Then the Appeals Court,
I believe, looked at it and slapped down the slap
(02:34):
down with a stay of the stay because the President
of the United States, think about our history. If the
President of the United States, Oh, we have Scott Jennings,
we do well.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
I was having you can give us a stem winder
on the supremacy clause.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Clause was right on top of my mind there, But
we got Scott Jennings live from Israel. CNNs owned Scott Jennings. Scott,
what's it like over there? What's going on?
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Well, great to hear your voice. You know, it's interesting.
I'm in Tiberius, literally standing on the bank of the
Sea of Galilee right now, looking due east, which is
towards Tehran, and it's a little calm out here at
Shabbat Friday night here in Israel, so a lot of
people are with their families that inside. And right before
we connected, I got ALERD on my phone. I think
people may be going into safe rooms now because of
(03:22):
a possible missile incoming from Yemen, but other than that,
everything's fine. So we're all just amazed at the news
today and what Israel pulled off, apparently with the help
of our President Donald Trump, to really defeat the principal
and know it's the head of the octopus, and to
take away their nuclear capabilities, to decapitate the government of
(03:44):
the worst people in the world. You know, these people
they killed today are the absolute founders of terror. It's
a great day. This has been twenty twenty five years
in the making. I'm glad Israel pulled the trigger.
Speaker 2 (03:56):
Scott, you're over there right now. I was there in December.
They stopped all air travel, everything else. We've got you know,
millions of Americans listening right now who have not been
to Israel before, who've not seen it.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
What it's like in a time of war? What is
it like?
Speaker 2 (04:11):
What was your experience like? I know you posted your
bomb alerts that came onto the phone. For people who
will maybe never go to Israel and certainly will not
be there in a time of war, what's the experience
like for you and for the average Israeli right now?
Speaker 3 (04:28):
Well, you know, they live with something every day of
these possible incoming rocket and missile strikes, so you know,
it's really common for them to get alerts and to
go into safe rooms. A lot of the buildings or
apartments or houses you're in would have a safe room,
and they take it all in stride. It's just part
of daily life. I mean, obviously, this attack on Iran
is extremely unusual, so it has the country on a
(04:49):
heightened state of alert. But on day to day life,
you know, they take it in stride and they go
about their business and they just live with it. Of course,
you know, they live with the being surrounded by their
enemy all the time, and they've just had to learn
to incorporate into their daily life. I have enjoyed being here.
This is an incredibly hospitable country everywhere I've gone from
(05:10):
the north to the south. I've been to the Gaza border,
I've been to the Lebanon border. I've been in Jerusalem
and Tel Aviv and a lot of places in between.
Extremely hospitable, welcoming to Americans, appreciative of the relationship between
Israel and the United States. I had not been, I
would have no qualms whatsoever about bringing my family back
here to visit again. It's been an amazing experience.
Speaker 1 (05:32):
Scott, there seemed to be some difference in the reporting
about how some aspect of this went down. I'm wondering
if you either have insight or just what your assessment
of it is that Trump was essentially new one hundred percent.
This was coming well in advance, and so there was
the head fake, if you will, of hanging out with
(05:52):
Clay and me for one thing, you know, having a
good time in the Oval office, the picnic that was scheduled,
Secretary of Defense went to a baseball game with his kids.
Then there's other people who are saying, oh, but President
Trump told them not to. NETANYAHUO said, look, we can't
wait anymore. And then Trump just rolled with it because
it's ultimately Israel's call.
Speaker 4 (06:14):
How do you.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
See the last let's say, three or four days playing
out as it pertains to Trump and his role in
all of this.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
Well, I think people who hate Donald Trump are always
going to come up with a narrative that tries to
make him look bad no matter what happens. That's number one.
Number two. I go back sixty days, sixty one days,
sixty one days ago, Donald Trump said publicly Iran has
sixty days to make a deal. Today is day sixty one.
So he told the world, and I ran clearly what
they needed to do in order to avoid this outcome.
(06:45):
And here we are sixty one days later, and Iran
didn't make a deal. They couldn't bring themselves to understand
the position they were in. And now Israel is doing
the work of dismantling the enemy of Western civilization. But
the President of the United States warned them, and now
they're getting the consequences of failing to heed that warning.
So I think this Ruse, I think this head fake,
(07:06):
whatever you want to call it, is going to go
down in history is one of the most interesting and
amazing military operations that ever happened. I mean, this is
essentially page or two point zero. You know what, the
Israelis constructed here, having Masad inside of Iran, having the
head fake with the United States. The entire construction of
this is nothing short of a miracle. And it is
(07:29):
good for the West, and it is good for America.
And it is good that Donald Trump was the president,
because I'm not sure the previous administration would have ever
participated in something like this to defeat this enemy.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
Scott, you're on CNN talking to a lot of people
who it appears every night, or reading from the same
talking points. I haven't really seen an aggressive pushback from
the left on Israel's actions so far.
Speaker 4 (07:52):
Two parter.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
Have you seen any kind of pushback from a purely
political perspective? Two?
Speaker 4 (07:57):
Do you expect one?
Speaker 2 (07:59):
Because they march in lockstep, everybody had the Mexican flag up.
Is Iron's flag going to start showing up and left
wing bios on social media? How do they respond to
this or are they actually going to acknowledge that this
is actually a good thing for global peace?
Speaker 4 (08:13):
What do you anticipate?
Speaker 3 (08:16):
Well, first of all, Ben Rhodes, who was Obama's National
Security advisor, was one of the first people out to
criticize this. And you know, his nickname, according to reporting
in the Obama White House, was Hamas and so.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
That is, by the way, that is quite a nickname.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
Yeah, no kidding. And then you've seen some other fringe
elements of the left that are very unhappy, because they're
unhappy anytime Israel in the United States does anything to
defend itself. What I really think their problem is going
to be tomorrow these Kings rallies or all these rallies
that are being held around the country. You can bet
that the Free Palestine movement will be out there that
(08:51):
the Palestinian flags and the Hamas colors and all these
people that have been marching all over college campuses at
American cities for the last few months. You know they're
going to be at these events. And I think politically,
until the left, until the Democrats divorce themselves from this
bunch of people who, let's just be honest, it has
nothing to do with Palestine. This is about destabilizing the
(09:13):
West and destroying the United States of America from within.
That's what it is. It is a domestic terrorism organization.
Until you can separate yourself from that, the American people
are going to continue to punish you and Democrats today.
I mean not that many statements coming out from Democrats
in Congress supporting Israel today because they are afraid.
Speaker 5 (09:31):
They are afraid of these people.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
They need to get rid of them and get away
from them as soon as they can. That is my
sincereous advice to them.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
But is that even possible, Scott with the makeup, I
mean politically possible. Right, of course, they could do the
right thing. But I mean to keep the Democrat coalition
going such as it is, and it seems like they
have to pretend that this is the new BLM, like
this is the new social justice movement, but it's not
(10:00):
the a LEM.
Speaker 4 (10:00):
It's pro hamas.
Speaker 5 (10:04):
Well.
Speaker 3 (10:04):
The coalition of the Democrats fundamentally thinks America and Western
values are rotten at the core. I mean, that is
the sad fact of that party, and they need to
reverse themselves immediately. I don't know if they can do it,
but when you look at the energy in their party,
the beating heart of that party at its core believes
America is rotten, are founding values are rotten, the West
(10:27):
is rotten. They look at the world through the lens
of this oppressed and oppressor, and they believe the United
States is an oppressor. Well, how can you be a
political party in the United States if you believe those things?
And I think that's why they're struggling with the American
people right now, because most Americans do.
Speaker 5 (10:43):
Not see the world that way.
Speaker 3 (10:45):
And I don't know if they can get rid of it,
but it would help them if they could. But you
look at where their energy is. The squad crocket, these people,
these strident voices from the radical left, they're not pro America.
They don't believe in our founding values. They don't believe
in Western civilization. In many cases, they certainly don't believe
in our relationship with Israel. They're going to have a
(11:07):
tough time here divorcing themselves, but they really should try
because it's killing them. It is killing their party. And
you know, as a Republican, you know it's good politically,
but I hate it for the United States that one
of our two political parties has fallen a victim of
this hateful ideology.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
We're talking to Scott Jennings's in Israel. Last question for you, Scott,
and we appreciate you making the time. I know it's
night coming over in Israel, not to mention who knows
what might happen with that occurring. But back here in
the States, when you see some owned biles come after
Riley Gaines, and when you have conversations with off air Democrats,
do they acknowledge privately that their public stance in favor
(11:46):
of men in women's sports is absolutely insane.
Speaker 3 (11:50):
Every single person that I know from that side of
the ball, from that profession professional Democrats know that it's
killing them, and they also know that they're not a
darn thing they can do about it. I mean, that
is the fundamental problem they have. They know the right
thing to do, but they can't do anything about it.
Either they live in fear or they know that. The
way their party works, I mean, they're authoritarians, you know,
(12:13):
and you're not allowed to get out of line. You're
not allowed to say, wait a minute, look what they
did to Fetterman when he got out of line on Israel,
you know. I mean they're out there saying y ought
to be in a straight jacket. I mean, his own
staff was out there saying that you are not allowed
to get out of line inside the Democratic Party controlled
by the radical left, even on obvious ninety five five issues,
(12:35):
which this issue is, you're not allowed to get out
of line. And even you even have to say things
like we need more studies. We need more studies to
find out if men and women are different. I think
we need.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Jennings, Scott stay safe over there. Thanks for making the
time for us, all right.
Speaker 4 (12:53):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
Looking out for the lives of unborn children is Preborn's
highest priority. Their second highest priority is the pregnant mother
of that child. Last year alone, Preborn made it possible
for sixty five thousand unborn children to have life save
them from abortion. This only is possible because of the
donations that come in from you, the pro life community
that let's Preborn go about their incredibly important mission of
(13:18):
saving lives. Over the past two decades, three hundred and
fifty thousand babies have been brought into this world as
a result of their efforts and your donations. Voting for
people who are pro life, yes, very important. Acting on
your pro life beliefs, of course critical. But there are
only so many things that can be done day in
and day out to actually save lives. Preborn is doing
(13:39):
one of them right now. They're offering love and support
to moms little tiny babies in the womb right now.
Speaker 4 (13:46):
Need you.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
Preborn operates their clinics and communities across the nation where
there are the highest abortion rates, and they do this
to save the maximum number of lives day in and
day out. They need your support, the pro life community,
and they need it today. To donate securely, dial pound
two fifty and say the keyword baby. That's pound two
five zero say baby, or go to preborn dot com,
(14:09):
slash buck that's preborn dot com slash b u c
K sponsored by Preborn.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
We were about to tee up the padea ridiculousness and uh,
and appreciate Scott Jennings taking the time CNN to discuss
with us what he was seeing on the ground in Israel. Uh,
but the uh padilla, let's play the audio. I'm sure
you guys have seen it. But before we do, buck,
I did. I tweeted this last night as the Israel
(14:45):
attack began on Iran. I did couldn't stop but laugh
a little bit because that was so planned and they
were gonna get multiple days out of Oh my goodness,
can you believe how they treated us sitting United States senator?
If they'll force him to not charge a cabinet secretary,
they'll murder you if you like he knew it was
(15:07):
so planned.
Speaker 4 (15:07):
And so fake.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
And then as soon as the Israel attack happened, it
went from the A block on every show discussion to
like the F block.
Speaker 4 (15:17):
But I do think we should play it and make
fun of this guy.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
Here is cut seven. Here he is interrupting Christy Nome. Uh.
Speaker 4 (15:24):
This is what it sounded like yesterday afternoon.
Speaker 3 (15:27):
I have the.
Speaker 5 (15:39):
Secretary because the fact that.
Speaker 2 (15:43):
A dozen finals that you're on your.
Speaker 4 (15:48):
I also want to of.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
This is so pathetic and the audio is even funnier.
And let me play this because I do think buck
this is emblematic of how they're losing ground. Here's the
even A Smith from ESPN ripping Senator Padilla. You want
to know how you're losing men, you'll look like losers
streaming at female cabinet secretaries during press conferences.
Speaker 4 (16:11):
Cut eleven.
Speaker 6 (16:12):
Here you have this, Senator Alex Media.
Speaker 4 (16:15):
Can Christinaan speak?
Speaker 6 (16:17):
Could you have waited until she finished to ask your questions?
To shout your questions? You are a senator, right, you
couldn't wait? So that was just you out of control
because you were just losing it. Hup, You, a United
States senator, couldn't compose yourself and let the head of
Homeland Security finish her thoughts before you ask the question?
Speaker 5 (16:38):
Could do that?
Speaker 2 (16:39):
Huh?
Speaker 4 (16:41):
Fuck?
Speaker 2 (16:41):
I think this is indicative. I mean when Stephen A.
Smith is saying you need to compose yourself more, I mean, look,
this is embarrassing. This is how you lose dudes. Nobody
thinks a guy storming up at a woman and yelling
at her during a press conference is a way to
impress people.
Speaker 1 (16:57):
Yes, and this guy thought this was his big moment.
I will say, how many people are learning that this
guy is even a senator? I thought at first the
state senator right, Oh, no, US senator from California, along
with Adam Schiff too. Really is there a stay with
two worse senators than these two clowns at their top
of the list. Really, you know.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
Who does Massachusetts have because Warren is so bad? Like,
I don't even know who the other Massachusetts senator is.
Speaker 4 (17:25):
That's fun mean Clays just being mean.
Speaker 3 (17:29):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
Maybe they got they got Pocahontas. Maybe they also have
Saka Juwella. I'm not sure who exactly represented that's racist.
That was a pretty good reference historically there by the
way off the cuff, Pocgonas and Saka Juwella. The leader
of the Lewis and Clark expedition. Female guy farmers and
rancher speaking of guides and ranches and everything else. Uh
(17:53):
My guy Ben and his wife Corley are phenomenal and
I love their company. They got four young kids and
it's fin And you know what, Dad likes steaks. Just
don't overthink it. Get Dad some great meat. If he
doesn't like steak, he probably likes salmon. If he doesn't
like salmon, he probably likes chicken. If he doesn't eat meat, well,
this is not the right company for you, and you're
(18:13):
probably not listening because your dad or granddad probably does
like meat. No hormones, antibotics or seed oils one important ingredient.
Meat ideal gift for Father's Day. Get hooked up right now.
Speaker 4 (18:24):
You can get free meat for.
Speaker 2 (18:25):

box for the lifetime of your subscription. Good ranchers dot
com my name Clay for forty dollars off. Hook dad
up with some meat. Good ranchers dot com. My name Clay,
(18:48):
Hey Buck. One of my kids called me an unk
the other day, and unk yep slang evidently for not
being hip, being an old dude.
Speaker 1 (18:55):
So how do we ununk you?
Speaker 2 (18:57):
Get more people to subscribe to our YouTube channel. At
least that's to what my kids tell me.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
That's simple enough. Just search the Klay, Travis and Buck
Sexton show and hit the subscribe button.
Speaker 4 (19:06):
Takes less than five seconds to help ununk me.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
Do it for Clay, do it for freedom, and get
great content while you're there. The Clay Travis en Buck
Sexton Show YouTube channel. So we were with the President yesterday,
just in the hours before h the strikes by Israel
and Iran commenced, and I can tell you the President
was he was in a great mood. We were happy.
We had just had a really good, wide ranging discussion.
(19:30):
We spent on about a half an hour with them
in the Oval office. Our friends Caroline Levitt and Margo
Martin and Steven Miller and you know jd Vance. You know,
they came by Vice President events and just spend some
time with us. We wanted to talk to them about
how the how the administration is just making us all
so proud and and they said very nice things about
(19:50):
the show. But there was one thing on the on
the substance side. Now that just to be clear, the
discussion with Trump wasn't off the record, but you know,
private conversations. But there's one thing, Yes, sir, we.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
Got a guest, Ben Shapiro is waiting to talk with us,
and you are I thought that was the next hour.
Speaker 4 (20:08):
I'm sorry. That is on me. That is on me.
Ben Ben is Ben is always welcome.
Speaker 5 (20:13):
Ben.
Speaker 1 (20:13):
Thank you from the founder of The Daily Wire and
the host of the Ben Shapiro Show, and Ben, at
least you know what our segment will be in the
halfway mark of the next hour.
Speaker 4 (20:23):
So thank you for being Yeah.
Speaker 5 (20:24):
I mean, guys, that's an amazing forward pitch. Thank you
that story. That is just really fun.
Speaker 1 (20:29):
That that tease was sold so hard that I actually
convinced myself that's where we were going. So all right, Ben,
we we gotta we gonna do a hard turn here.
We got to turn like an F eighteen. That's just
commenced a strike, run or finish one. Uh, tell us
about your your first sense of what's going on here
with the strikes in in Iran against the reactors and
(20:51):
against the military targets.
Speaker 5 (20:53):
I mean, first of all, astonishing level of success from
the Israelis here. So my understanding is from all my
sources on the ground on both sides meeting American and Israeli,
that Israel has completely destroyed the Naton's nuclear reactor, that
Israel is currently doing heavy damage to other nuclear reactors
around the region. They took out perhaps nearly the entire
(21:14):
echelon of the IRGC, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps in
targeted strikes. Many of them were killed in their beds.
They were not suspecting that this was going to happen.
There was apparently an operation that the Israelis told talk
to news about in which they had essentially suffered a
bunch of top IRGC generals into a room to plan
the possible retaliation next week. And they had essentially the
(21:37):
Israelis that it sounds like, leaked information to them to
get them to do that, and then kept them in
the room and then hit the room and killed everybody
in the room. They had massad agents on the ground
who had set up effectively a drone factory on the
ground in Iran, and then they were releasing these drones
to take out a lot of Iranian munitions, including the
ballistic missile stocks that they were going to use to
respond to Israel. And so for you know, at this
(21:59):
point more than twelve hours, Israel has been running bombing
raids over Iran utterly unfettered. I mean, first of all,
Iran did not have an effective air force. Iran's air
force is all old F fourteen's and so twenty four's
and stuff that just will not hold up to an
sixteen or an F thirty five. But beyond that, the
ballistic missile stores have been really devastated. Iran's Arsenal has
(22:21):
been really deeply harmed, and that means that their capacity
to respond has been at the very least limited, and
so we've seen pretty dessultory response from Iran so far.
One hundred drones that were shot down last night and
one hundred drones that were shot down today, and then
just a few minutes ago there's an announcement that there's
a belief that Iran is firing ballistic missiles. Right now,
pretty much all the countries in the region are scrambling
(22:43):
to knock those down. That includes supposed condemners of the
Israelis like the Saudis. The Saudi's put out a statement
that basically was the Catherine Han wink from Wanavision. Oh,
we're so sad, We're really upset that Israel. No one
is happier in the region than Mohammed Vinzelman that Israel
did this. And so they've they've been participating in knocking
down the ordinance coming the other way. The Jordanians have,
(23:05):
the Egyptians have, the Americans have, the Brits have, and
so right now this appears to be one of the
most shockingly successful military operations in modern history, and the
other competitor for that title is probably the Deeper Operation
from last year. So the IDEAF is really flexing an
extraordinary amount muscle right now.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
Ben what happens with the Ayatola because you take out
all of his military leadership. He's been in command now
since nineteen seventy nine, the revolution thanks for coming on,
and now two generations later, he doesn't have the ability
to defend his people at all against what he calls
the Great Satan in Israel, and they're wiping him out.
(23:42):
How do you think ordinary This is a really interesting question.
I think, how do you think ordinary Iranians are responding
to this to the extent they can get accurate information
and what happens for him going forward based on what
we're seeing right now.
Speaker 5 (23:57):
So the first thing to understand is that the Iranian
regime is deeply fearful for its future, not from the
external forces, but from internal forces. And the way you
can tell this is that I was informed by an
Israeli source today that very early on after it became
clear that Israel had complete control over the Iranian airspace,
and I mean complete control, they're flying daytime raids. They're
apparently refueling in Syrian airspace. They are they're flying basically
(24:20):
unfettered throughout Iran. That during this time, Iran shut down
their entire Internet because they are afraid that the Iranians,
that the Iranian people are going to get number one
news from outside, number two, that they're going to convey
news from inside, and that they might be able to
use the Internet to coordinate and sort of move against
the regime. The Iranian people hate the regime. They do
not like the regime. They are generally actually quite pro
Maratha and also pro Israel, and so there's been a
(24:43):
deep fear among the Aetola's this was going to be
the result of getting rid of the nuclear program, which
is why they were so hesitant to get rid of
the nuclear program. All Iron had was essentially it's oil
fields and a prospective nuclear program, and they're trying to
rush forward a bomb hoping that they could become essentially
the Kim regime in North Korea isolated, did not not
well involved in the world economy, but almost untouchable because
(25:04):
of the presence of the nuclear weapon. And Israel has
basically ended that at least for the foreseeable future, not
only by taking out hardware, but by killing pretty much
every major Iranian nuclear science as there is astonishing operation again.
And so if you're the Iya Tola's at this point,
you're living in fear of your life from your own people.
The IERGC seems to be in a state of disrepair
because they're just again the leadership status was the Israel
(25:26):
did to them when they just did this, because all low,
they wiped out a lot of their leadership. And so
the reason I think that Israel has not struck the
ite Tols directly is because they're using that as a
sort of determent for Iran firing more bilistic missiles or
attempting to fire at American troops or something like that.
Basically the case being if you kill the Iya tola Is,
(25:47):
then there's nothing left except you know, whoever has their
finger on the button. If you leave the isel Is
in place for now, then what you're saying is the
iel is listen, you fire back, You go too hard here,
your oil field are on fire, in your debt. And
I think that's likely the strategy right now. Israel has
essentially said that openly just about an hour ago, there
at least a statement saying that if too many ballistic
missiles are fired at Israel, orf they're fired into population
(26:07):
centers in Israel, then other targets wink, wink, not nod.
Maybe the itola is probably the oil fields go up
in plans.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
Speaking of Ben Shapiro, founder of The Daily Wire, host
of The Benzapiro Show, Ben, give me in your mind
the i'd say realistic but optimistic case for the Middle
East focused on Israel security, the future of Iran, and
regional developments. So again, I know I'm asking, you know,
(26:36):
looking into the future, and with the Middle East, that's
a very difficult thing and everything can change in a day.
All those caveats apply. What is the reasonable but optimistic case,
as you see, it's six months out from now.
Speaker 5 (26:46):
Well, I mean, I think six months out from now
the realistic. There's the ultra optimistic case, which is the
regime falls right and that's not caused by some sort
of ground invasion which literally no one wants, no one
is calling for, And anybody who's telling you that anyone's
calling for that is a liar, okay, for people are
who you are? He to say that they're not telling
the truth, It is not plausible, nor is it workable,
nor is it anything that anybody wants to do. If
there resume were to fall, that's obviously not totally off
(27:08):
the table, but they would have to come from internal
machinations inside iron. Assuming that doesn't happen, the most plausible
scenario at this point is that Iran's military is rendered
essentially toothless, that Aron is isolated, that they do not
have any projective power in the region, and as a result,
many of the states that are threatened by Iran start
to seek to cut a deal with allies of the
(27:28):
United States. So that includes Syria, which already is making
overtures toward the United States, and toward Israel that include Lebanon.
One of the most astonishing statements that came out very
early here is that Lebanon, which had been run by
Habelah until the beginning of last year, when Israel basically
wrecks of a law, when until then, you know, Hazela
ran the place, Hasbellah put out a statement saying that
they stood in solidarity with Iran and then basically gave
(27:49):
them a high five as big round. I mean, they
we're not going to do anything because they're afraid that
Israel is going to destroy them, So you could see
a complete reorientation of the Middle East. The next step
would presumably be they're already getting close to the end
in Gaza that in a few weeks Israel will establish
complete security control over the Gaza Strip. You would hope
that there's some sort of deal to get the hostages
out because now Hamas literally has no sponsors. That's the
(28:12):
best case scenario. If that doesn't either way, Israel's going
to have to established security control over the Gaza Strip,
and then you would imagine that there's going to be
some talk, some pretty open talk about economic cooperation between
the Sowd East, Uaebach Rain and Israel. I mean you
Aan Bahrain are already members of the Abraham Accords. In
the Middle East. The rule is very simple. It's a
strong horse region. Whoever is a strong horse is the
(28:34):
party that people follow and want to be partners with.
There's no question at this point in time, Israel is
by far the strongest military force in the region, and
they're flexing that today.
Speaker 2 (28:45):
Last question for you, Ben, we appreciate the time. By
the way, Ben, You've got a new book out called
Lions and Scavengers, the True Story of America that is
going to be out in September. Buck and I talked
about this earlier. I'm curious your analysis in the immediate
aftermath is October seventh looking to be one of the
most catastrophic strategic decisions made ever and certainly in the
(29:10):
lives of anybody out there listening right now when you
look at what's happened to Hamas, has Bola, what's happened
in Syria, and now what's happening to Iran, is that
a fair characterization in your mind?
Speaker 5 (29:21):
Absolutely, it's Pearl Harber, right, Pearl Harbor in the moment
looks really good for the Japanese, and it turns out
that it ends with the complete destruction of the Japanese
regime and their control over all external territory. That's what
this looks like. It looks like October seventh, which is
activated by the Iranian has now resulted in the complete
destruction of Hamas. One of the proxies is Bella. Another
one of the proxies the ASDD regime, which they were
using as a quasi proxy, and now the complete destruction
(29:44):
of a huge swath of their military capacity right at home.
It's just a disastrous decision. And by the way, here
I just want to say that all Americans, for a
thousand reasons, but for this reason today should be so
grateful that Donald Trump is president and Kamala Harris is
non president. I mean, Donald Trump has been absolutely one
hundred percent consistent on this issue before he was president
to now. He said the JCPOA was the worst deal
(30:05):
in history. He said Iron could not go nuclear. He
has never threatened to withdraw aid from Israels, He did
not get America directly involved in this. He said that
Israel is a good partner to America, which means they
should go fight their own battles, and Israel is going
and fighting that battle right now. It is perfectly played
by President Brump. President from statements today, I have to
say are simultaneously inspiring and absolutely hilarious. I mean, I
(30:26):
don't know if you saw that exchange with Dana Bass
a little bit earlier where the President was talking about
the death of many of the starts Operanian decision makers,
and she said from the Israeli He said, well, wasn't
for COVID.
Speaker 2 (30:36):
Yeah, although they might be counted as COVID deaths to
be fair bid based on the president set five years ago. Look,
the book is great. We appreciate you coming on and
keep up the good work at the Daily Wire and
we'll talk to.
Speaker 4 (30:50):
You again soon.
Speaker 5 (30:51):
Thanks so much.
Speaker 4 (30:52):
That has been Shapiro.
Speaker 2 (30:53):
And look, many of the best moments in our lives
we get ready for Father's Day. So many of you
out there are going to be hanging out with your dad's,
your granddad's, the important men in your life. How many
of those Father's Day events are preserved forever?
Speaker 4 (31:06):
Maybe not a lot of them.
Speaker 2 (31:07):
Maybe you got old slides, Maybe you got a lot
of different media out there, old VCR tapes, Maybe you
got a bunch of different old pictures. Why not preserve
them forever digitally so that you don't have to worry
if for some reason there's a fire at a house,
or maybe one of your elderly relatives passes and all
(31:29):
of the old pictures are stored in the attic and
they don't get found and they end up in somebody
else's hands, or you just don't know what happened to them. Digitally,
you can protect those forever. My mother in law just
bought a new home she went up into the attic
tons of left behind albums that probably had been forgotten
that they were in the attic. How many times has
(31:49):
that happen to you or your family? Wouldn't you like
to know that you've preserved your family's legacy for as
long as you can look into the future by digitizing
everything out there that you have created and that your
family has made for great memories years and years in
the past. Old tapes, cassettes, film reels, print photos, whatever
it is. Put them in a Legacy Box today and
(32:11):
turn them into digital files that can be shared forever.
They've done it for a million and a half families
to date, including our own. Don't let your childhood fade
away on old tapes that are slowly disintegrating. It's time
to digitize future proof those priceless moments. Great gift for dad,
and let's be honest, nobody ever knows what to get Dad.
Maybe digitizing those old memories is a perfect gift. Go
(32:31):
to legacybox dot com slash clay today unlock fifty percent
off your order. If you haven't already gotten Dad something, Hey,
how about just saying we're gonna do this? You can
go to legacybox dot com slash clay today fifty percent off.
He's hard to shop for, but he probably likes old
history in the family. If your dad's anything like my
dad granddad, go to legacybox dot com slash clay. That's
(32:55):
a legacybox dot Com slash clay for fifty percent off.
I got an interesting message a from a friend's wife
who is Iranian and still has a lot of family
(33:16):
back in Iran, and I thought it was particularly interesting
because what she said is something that I think is
quite true. And you just heard Ben Shapiro kind of
echoing this on some bit. But she just wrote, just
wanted to confirm about the bombing on Iran. Many Iranians
are happy Israel took out these Islamic fanatics. They hope
(33:41):
she's speaking on behalf of Iranians in the country. They
hope this is the beginning of the end of forty
seven years of terror for my fellow Iranians. Thank you
guys for speaking the truth and standing up for justice.
I think it is very important for everybody out there
to understand, and I know this is the case, but
sometimes you forget. Many times people are being led by
(34:06):
leaders that they despise, but the leaders rule with such
an iron fist that if you rise up against them,
they will kill you. They will kill all of the
members of your family. That's what they've been dealing with
for over forty years now in Iran. And so the
Iranian people I think as a whole that they actually
(34:27):
had the freedom again. You can go back and watch
nineteen seventies before the Ayatola came in. There's just women
walking around in the heels, in mini skirts in the
streets of Tehran. I mean, as Middle Eastern countries go,
the people were quite free compared to what they live
with today.
Speaker 1 (34:44):
Yes, and it would be a great thing if Iran
became a country that people of Persian and Iranian heritage.
That's not all that, it's not entirely the same thing.
Persians are an ethnicity within what we think of as
modern ar On today, but they're a large you know,
that's the most predominant ethnicity there. It could be a
(35:07):
great country. It could be a great country. You know,
how often do we sit around particularly worried about the
future of I don't know, like Morocco or Turkey. No,
you know, we play them in soccer, maybe in the
World Cup and we go visit them, and it doesn't
have to be this way. It's a little like I
feel on the crime issue when you go to a
country that a place like Japan, for example, though I
(35:29):
haven't been there, but you go to a country where
they really have or even just in an area of
the country where they really have almost no crime, you.
Speaker 4 (35:34):
Say it could be this way.
Speaker 1 (35:35):
Iran doesn't have to be a terrorrist sponsoring hell hole.
We don't actually have to accept that the world's got
plenty of problems without Iran doing what it does.
Speaker 2 (35:42):
And think about this from on behalf of the Iranian people.
Let's say that you were open to the idea that
the Ayatolas, we're doing a good job running your country.
Speaker 4 (35:50):
Where's all your money gone? Where have all your resources gone?
Speaker 2 (35:54):
They've had control for forty seven years, essentially forty five years,
whatever the heck of the math is forty six years.
Speaker 4 (36:01):
What are they doing.
Speaker 2 (36:02):
They can't even stand up to Israel at all, the
country that they've been labeling the Great Satan and saying
they were going to wipe off the map. Israel has
completely decapitated their government. Yes, and it's also just getting
started in some ways, meaning there could be more there
could be more pressure, there could be more strikes, depends
on what the Iranian response will be. And this is like, look,
(36:26):
so far, it's a remarkable success. Like I said, you
don't want to celebrate too early. They have to keep
their head on a squibble. We have to keep our
head in a swivel here too. These are determined enemies
of the jihadist camp. But so far, Clay, this has
been an incredible success.
Speaker 1 (36:42):
And a lot of people here who were gloom and
doom and catastrophe if Israel took this action. So far,
they missed this, and they missed it by a mile.
So we'll continue to watch this closely.
Speaker 2 (36:54):
We come back, we'll talk more about meeting with President
Trump in the Oval Office yesterday.
Speaker 4 (36:58):
Thanks for hanging with us Friday, m
