Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome back in Clay Travis Buck Sexton show Buck, we'll
be back tomorrow. Let me give you a little bit
of a roadmap of where we're headed. We're gonna do
a short opening segment here because President Trump is going
to join us at two point fifteen Eastern, that is
about nine minutes from now. He wants to weigh in
on the Olympics and also the prisoner exchange that happened today.
(00:23):
Joe Biden took a shot at Trump for not getting
Evan Gersovitch back, even though Gersovich did not become a
prisoner until Joe Biden was President of the United States.
We're going to talk to President Trump, who's super busy
but values the time that he can spend with all
of you. We're going to spend about ten minutes with
him because he wants to call in today. This was
(00:46):
not scheduled until this morning when I woke up and
saw what happened with the Olympic boxing. President saw it.
He wants to weigh in on it. He wants to
do it with all of you. So we're going to
be joined by him here in just a few moments.
But I want to tell you, Bucks, friend, Porter Stansbury.
He's pretty fantastic. He introduces a lot of ways to
get paid. CEO Financial research firm. Last year he reduced
(01:09):
his salary just a dollar a year, started taking a
new form of compensation new to him, been around for
some time, used by wealthy individuals to save more money,
increase savings power. And right now he's sharing the details
of his own arrangement in an online video for you
guys to hear him describe his decision. He's doing it
because he wants you to consider following his approach. New
(01:31):
form of money in America being accepted by companies nationwide.
You don't need to be a CEO to obtain this
new kind of compensation. Thousands of Americans in different full
time roles already started to be compensated. Check out Porter's
plan online at Secretcurrency twenty twenty four dot com. Opportunity
isn't discussed anywhere else. Go to secret Currency twenty twenty
(01:53):
four dot com. That Secret Currency twenty twenty four dot
com again, encourage you guys to check out that with them.
Now a lot of different stories out there for those
of you who have not seen it. What happened in
the Olympics is absolutely indefensible, and so I want to
(02:14):
spend a couple of minutes here with you setting the table.
If you have not seen it. First of all, it's
up at clayanbuck dot com. You can go check out
my Twitter feed at Clay Travis. So many different reactions
to it pouring in from people across the political spectrum. Effectively,
a man who was not allowed to box as a
(02:37):
member of many other different organizations because of his gender
related issues was allowed to box in the Olympics, and
the woman that he was fighting against forty six seconds
into the match decided that they could no longer actually
be able to allow that competition to occur. The International
(03:02):
Boxing Association put out a statement saying that they had
disqualified this athlete from the World Boxing Championships in New
Delhi because they did not meet the criteria of being
a woman, and they laid out the criteria of why
that occurred. The IOC, as you heard Riley Gaines in
(03:26):
the first hour, the International Olympic Committee said that this
man qualified as a woman, and the Italian boxer who
stopped fighting forty six seconds in effectively said, and she
said it in Italian, which is why we can't play
that for all of you. She said, She's been boxing
her entire life. She does it for her father who
(03:48):
had passed recently as a way to honor him. She's
been hit by women her entire life, and when she
was hit by this individual, it was like being hit
by a man because he is a man. And the
fact that this is allowed to occur has I think
(04:09):
rattled a lot of people because it's also occurring on
the day that Kamala Harris and Joe Biden are overturning
the traditional definition of Title nine to now include gender identity,
meaning if you are a man who says you are
a woman, you are now allowed to identify as a
(04:32):
woman under United States law thanks to Joe Biden and
Kamala Harris, and compete against women girls. This is just bonkers. Again.
We're going to talk about that with President Trump here
in just a moment, but I want to tell you
as we go to break my Pillow. Good thing going
right now. Lots of their products restocked on sale. Giza

Welcome back in Clay Travis buck Sexton Show. We are
joined now by President Trump, who was so fired up
by what he saw happen in the Olympics that he
wanted to weigh in. So I appreciate you calling into
the show, mister President. Let me start with this, though
I got concerned, Buck was too that the final interview
(05:58):
you might do for your whole life was going to
be on this show. Because we talked to you Friday afternoon,
and then Saturday you went up to Pennsylvania and you
were doing the rally and you came within about a
quarter inch of taking a bullet to the head and
you took one to the ear instead. So the first
thing I should say is think the Lord, you're still alive.
I can't believe it.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
Well, it was pretty amazing actually, according to a lot
of people that know about.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
Shooting, like my sons and others, and they thought it
was pretty amazing. And you know, a great person was killed.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
I got to know his family very well, Corey and
the two people were very badly injured. Actually they thought
they maybe probably wouldn't make it and they're going to
be okay, they're going to be fine. But they went
through a lot and it was It was a bad day.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
It was a bad day, no question about it.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
We talked to Don Junior up at the RNC and
he said that they were all terrified, as we all
know in the in the family, but that he decided
he wanted to make a little bit of joke and
he asked you about whether your hair was okay. Can
you can that that was true and that your hair
was came through fine.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
My hair is good, My hair is good.
Speaker 2 (07:06):
My ear was a little bit hit, to put it mildly,
but my hair was left alone. That's true, no doubt.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
All right, let's dive into this. Your granddaughter did an
amazing job. She's a great golfer. We met her, I think,
up at Bedminster with you and you took her out
on the course. I know you've been playing with her
a great deal before we get into the Olympics. In particular,
if you found out that she was going to have
to compete against men in golf, you know the difference.
There's ladies teas for a reason. There's a tremendous difference.
(07:38):
What would you say, as a grandfather, leaving aside to
being a president running for president, all of those things,
what would you say, you're a big sports fan, just
about being fair, if you found out that your supremely
talented golfing granddaughter was having to compete against.
Speaker 3 (07:52):
Men, Well, golf is different.
Speaker 2 (07:54):
It's first of all, it's a huge disadvantage anyway, But
golf is a lot different than being punched in the face.
That young lady from Italy was today, which she took
two shots and she said, I'm out of here. I
never got hit like that before in my life. And
she was supposed to be a very good boxer.
Speaker 3 (08:09):
But she said, this is crazy.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
But golf's a little because you still have to be able.
Speaker 3 (08:13):
To putt and other things. But even in golf, you.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Know, there's a big difference in distance. That's why, as
you said, better than anybody. That's why they have the lady.
Speaker 3 (08:20):
Sees and the men's t's and all of that.
Speaker 2 (08:23):
So obviously it's a you know, a big part of
what I say. One of the things that gets the
biggest applause just about and I have other things.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
That are very important, like the border. We got to
close the wall. You gotta drill, baby, drill, all of.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
That, but one of the things he gets the biggest applause.
And you know this because you've been to many of
the rallies. I had a great one in Harrisburg last night.
It was unbelievable, actually, And what gets the biggest applause
is we will not allow men to play in women's sports.
And you know, I usually use weightlifting as a good example.
You could use swimming, you could use a lot of
(08:58):
different but weightlifting is so good. But I think it's
been replaced by boxing because this lady said, I've.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
Never been hit like that.
Speaker 4 (09:04):
It was like getting hit by a horse.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
So I mean she took two punches and she said,
that's it.
Speaker 4 (09:09):
I'm out, I'm out.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
What do you think about Kamala Harris's It's it's incredibly
coincidental because today Kamala Harris and Joe Biden have rewritten
Title nine so that it now includes gender identity. So
if a man wants to identify as a woman, as
you just mentioned, that thing has gone viral. Everybody is
reacting to it. They wouldn't let that person fight as
(09:34):
a as a woman because it didn't fulfill the biological requirements.
Man beats up a woman in the Olympics. What did
you think when you saw that video?
Speaker 3 (09:43):
Well, they've gone. This is where they've been.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
They've gone, you know, into the whole thing with men
can do anything they want, they can go into the
locker rooms, they can do whatever they want. They transition
and they've been. That's where they've been, and people don't
understand it. To me, you know, I say, we run
a campaign on common sense. The Republican Party in Maga
is about common sense, probably more than it is about
(10:05):
being conservative or anything else. That's common sense. We want
to have a strong border. We want to have low taxes,
we want to have good education. We don't want to
have men playing in women's sports.
Speaker 4 (10:17):
But this is.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
Where they are.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
The whole party is crazy, and they took him out.
They did a coup with him, and it wasn't a
friendly coup. It was a vicious coup. You know, he
had all the votes and they just said, we'll do
it the easy way of the hard way, and they
took him out. You know, from my standpoint here, we
are working against him. He's down for the count practically.
Speaker 4 (10:35):
And it's like if you had a.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
Fighter like Dana White, the Great Dana White. You have
a fighter and he's not doing well, and you take
him out, you put somebody else in. But I don't
think she's going to do well because her.
Speaker 3 (10:44):
Policies are so bad.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
I mean, she wants open borders, she wants the all
electric cars in a very short period of time. No
more gasoline powered cars or hybrids or.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
Any of that.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
It's just ridiculous. The country looks you here to the
rest of the world.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
When you hear yourself and JD Vance called weird by
Kamala Harris, who believes that a man should be able
to win a women's boxing championship, that a man should
be able to be a women's swimming champion. We had
Riley Gaines on the show earlier. Who's the weirdo there?
What's weird actually letting men pretend to be women and
(11:22):
win championships or just saying women's sports should be played
by women.
Speaker 3 (11:26):
Well, they're the weird ones.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
And if you've ever seen her with the laugh and
everything else, that's a weird deal going on there.
Speaker 3 (11:32):
They're the weird ones. Nobody's ever called me weird.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
I'm a lot of things, but weird I'm not, and
I'm up front and he's not either. I will tell
you JD is not at all they are.
Speaker 3 (11:44):
I mean, who wants.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
To have open borders where prisoners that's weird. We're prisoners
and we're mental institution patients are taking out of hospitals
and jails and they're led into our country.
Speaker 3 (11:56):
That's weird.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
Who would want that policy?
Speaker 3 (11:58):
Who wants the men and women's face arts policy?
Speaker 2 (12:01):
Who wants to quadruple your taxes? The whole thing is weird,
And the way they do elections is weird.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
And no, they're the weird ones. But you know what
it is.
Speaker 2 (12:11):
It's a sound by.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
You've been watching it.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
Russia, Russia, Russia, Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine. It's all it's sound
by it and the press picks it up. Do you
notice the Evening News. Every one of them's talked. You know,
they introduced the word weird, and all of a sudden
they're talking about weird. Now, we're not weird people. We're
actually just the opposite.
Speaker 3 (12:29):
We're right, you little.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
I don't know if you heard this yet, but a
little bit earlier, Joe Biden. I don't know if Joe
Biden knows anything. I think you kind of showed that
when you knocked him out on June twenty seventh and
ended his political career. I know you saw me on
Jesse Waters. I mean, we've never seen a knockout like
that talking about it, and I know you posed as
he dropped out, but he was just talking about Russian
(12:52):
hostages and he said, you didn't get Evan Gersovich back,
even though Evan Gersovich didn't become a hostage until he
became president. I want to let you hear that, and
and hear what he said. I mean, his brain's mush.
We know that. But I want to let you hear it.
Speaker 5 (13:08):
President said repeatedly that he could have gotten that hostages
out without giving anything in exchange. What do you say
to that?
Speaker 1 (13:15):
What do you say to President Shump?
Speaker 2 (13:17):
Now too?
Speaker 6 (13:18):
Why didn't he do?
Speaker 4 (13:19):
Who? President?
Speaker 1 (13:21):
Okay? I mean, how crazy is this?
Speaker 2 (13:24):
Well, he's incompetent, and you know he was so adjudged
by his own his own if you take a look
his own counsel, if you look at the prosecutor who
we call it a prosecutor, they call it a council.
And he came out and he said, with respect to
the document's case, he said, essentially that he's incompetent. You know,
(13:44):
that was an interesting thing. He's incompetent to stand trial,
but he's allowed to be president. That's a very interesting thing.
Can't stand trial because he's grossly incompetent.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
No, that's fascinating.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
No, I heard that. I heard he said this.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
Why didn't Trump get him out? And he was taken
during that time? You know, I got a fifty nine
different people, fifty nine and I didn't pay money.
Speaker 3 (14:04):
I didn't pay money.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
You know, once you do that, these deals are going
to happen more and more because the amount of things,
including cash, that we give up is so astronomical.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
This is a big deal. And they allowed some really.
Speaker 2 (14:17):
Rough people out, you know that, right, and they did
the case of Britney Griner also they allowed.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
What was the merchant of death. They traded her for
the merchant of death, which is maybe a worse trade
than our friend herschel Walker back in the day, the.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
Greatest arms dealer in the world.
Speaker 5 (14:34):
You know.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
And look, these are rough deals to make.
Speaker 4 (14:37):
These deals sometimes have.
Speaker 3 (14:38):
To be different. But we got out fifty nine.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
Without having to pay. I got people out of North Korea.
You don't get tougher than that.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
Last question, Last question for you, because I know I
told your team you had to run. You got a
ton of things. Last question for you. Can you pledge
that when you are president, men will not be winning
women's championships, That you will reverse these Title nine rules
that I can't believe we even have to have this discussion,
(15:07):
but that men will compete in men's sports and women
will compete in women's sports, and this will be ended
once and for all, from day one.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
From day one, it'll be ended. It'll be ended, and
there'll be.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
No tax on tips and seniors won't have to pay
tax on Social Security, and we'll do lots of different
things the seniors. You know that's been really hitting the
seniors paying tax on Social Security.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
It's a lot and we're not going to do that.
Speaker 2 (15:31):
So all of that, but I can tell.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
You one thing. Men will not be playing in women's sports.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
And you guys can write it down, mark it down,
and never speak to me again. Although that might be
an honor for me, may quite life easier, but never
speak to me again if I violate that.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
Nope, it won't happen.
Speaker 2 (15:47):
When you look at this young lady from a different country,
what difference does it make?
Speaker 3 (15:51):
Just look and say, oh man, what hit me?
Speaker 2 (15:54):
I just got hit by a horse, and she just.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
I've never seen that.
Speaker 2 (15:59):
We're two chains and she said, I've had enough, and
you know you can't take it. It's ridiculous. The whole
thing is ridiculous. The whole country is a laughing stock.
Our country has become a laughing stock.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
All over the world.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
That we're going to change it and we're going to
make America great again.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
And you guys know it.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
Amen, mister President. By the way, it's the thirty sixth
anniversary of Russia emboss starting this show that Buck and
I get to do every single day. So it didn't
plan on this because I didn't think this crazy story
was going to happen. But I appreciate you calling in
and sharing with the audience and fighting the good side
of the fight Fight, Fight Fight, one of the most
amazing things we've ever seen. Thank you for the time, sir.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
Thank you, and Rush would be proud of you. Guys.
I can tell you that I knew him well. He
was great. He's really missed. Have a good time. Thanks fellas.
Speaker 1 (16:45):
No doubt that is President Trump, absolutely fantastic. We'll break
down that with you when we come back. But he
wanted to reach out and just let all of you know,
not on my watch, we're going to end, once and
for all, all men being able to compete against women.
And just think about how crazy that is. Would you
have ever believed a decade ago that the future president
(17:10):
of the United States would have to call in and say, hey, guys,
just want you to know when I beat Kamala Harris,
who's crazy on this issue, among many others, We're going
to once sent for all end men being able to
compete as women. I sometimes I think you have to
take a step back and think about how far down
the road to crazy town we've really gone. Thirty six
(17:33):
years after Rush started this show, President Trump's like, hey,
can you know we reach out. We want to make
sure that we address this issue. Just absolutely bonkers that
we could ever be there. I want to tell you
you need to monitor your heart health, and we live
in a technology driven world where that's now possible every
single day for those of us that want to monitor
(17:54):
our heart rate, blood pressure, we can do it now
in a matter of seconds using technology monitoring your heart health.
Great example FDA clear device called the cardio Mobile SIXL
that connects to your cell phone that's cardiospelled with a K.
The number six refers to the six different views it
will give you of your heart health at in less
than a minute, all on your phone. Great product for
(18:14):
anyone concerned about heart health. Cardiovascular diseases leading cause of
death globally, so having a device like the cardio Mobile
six L in your pocket could be a game changer.
Cardiomobile six L allows you to share your EKG data
with your doctor in a matter of seconds. Here's how
you get yourself set up either on Amazon or Cardia's website,

whichever you prefer, used twenty twenty four Clay. That's twenty
twenty four Clay, twenty percent off Cardio Mobile six L
Welcome back in Clay, Travis Bucks Sexton show. Let me
(19:00):
go ahead and give you a little bit of information
behind the scenes here. First of all, President Trump, I
thought was great. I think it speaks to his relationship
with Rush and I think the relationship that Buck and
I have had with him since he got back that
when he wants to weigh in sometimes on issues, this
is a forum that he's very excited to be able
(19:21):
to reach out to make those statements clear because he
is so fired up about exactly what is going on
there that he knows this forum makes a lot of
sense to be able to have that conversation. We're going
to be joined here in a moment by Auburn men's
(19:42):
basketball coach Bruce Pearl, who is a good buddy of mine,
but that there is a trip we had scheduled to Israel,
and among all of the other things that are going
on right now, we just got news that our flight
(20:03):
to Israel has been rescheduled and so canceled. At some
point we are going to have to reschedule that trip
to Israel. I've never been. I've always wanted to go,
and right now Bruce Pearl is about to call in
and discuss that with us, and I think it speaks
(20:27):
to the danger that is out there in Israel right now.
So all of you know, we were scheduled on El Al,
which is the Israeli airline, because we were told, hey,
they never canceled, they always maintain their flight schedules, so
(20:48):
that we didn't want to book any other airline. We've
had this scheduled for a long time. They canceled. And
I know many of you out there are prayer ful,
and now might be a good time to be praying
for Israel, because if they are canceling all of the
(21:08):
flights from the United States into Israel, it is because
they are expecting really bad things. And there are a
lot of very innocent people on the side of good
who were attacked on October seventh, who've been fighting now
for ten months since, and they are about to have
(21:33):
a lot rained down upon them. And I know we
have a lot of listeners right now in Israel, and
we got a guy on with us. Coach. I was
expecting Auburn men's basketball coach Bruce Pearl, Coach. I was
expecting to have you on to give me some advice
about Israel. When I was texting you, I said, hey,
this is the day before we're scheduled to leave. Literally
(21:54):
in the last fifteen minutes, they have canceled all the
flights to Israel. As a guy who's been to Israel
for a long time and has been fighting on the
side of the Jewish people for a long time, what
does that make you think that they're canceling even l
al flights. They have to be expecting a lot of
bad things coming towards Israel right now from their enemies.
Speaker 4 (22:18):
Yeah, Clay, I'm sorry that your trip got canceled because
just the opportunity to go to Israel and experience that
be so close to God and the courage that you
showed and want to show, but being there and and
bringing the stories back to all of us firsthand, so
(22:39):
hopefully you'll get to go. This is not a war
that Israel wanted. This is not a war they started,
and I don't think right now they really want a
seven front war. Israel is going to have to take
care of Hesbela, and Hesbela won't take care of itself diplomatically.
They've been launching rockets since October seventh, NonStop, and so
(23:02):
much of the country has been displaced in the north.
But they don't want to bite off more than they
can chew, and they understand that a full fledged war
with Hesbla is going to mean potentially thousands of Israelis
dying because they can reach everywhere and anywhere in Israel.
It'll take a monumental defense and tremendous casualty of life.
(23:27):
But they're going to take care of Israel Hesbla because
Hesblah has made it clear, like Amas and some of us,
there Israel's enemies that they want all the Jews in
Israel dead, that they are unwilling to live side by
side as neighbors in peace, and they the shame of it.
There are about two million Israeli Arabs living in Israel
(23:48):
and doing wonderfully. I have chosen to be a citizen
of the state of Alabama living in Alabama. Before that,
I lived in Tennessee, and I chose to contribute to
my country and my state. And there are two million Arabs, Drews, Christians,
Muslims living in Israel and living a great life. But
(24:09):
there are some, including the Palestinians, the Gazins, some people
that have had some terrible leadership that simply will not
live in peace.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
You have lived on I believe you were born in Massachusetts.
You've lived on all over the country. You've been a coach.
When you see from Columbia to Ucla, the kids on campuses,
You've been coaching kids for a long time, campuses everywhere
lining up and defending Hamas and their attack on October seven,
(24:40):
two part question One, what do you think when you
see it happening from Columbia to Ucla? Two? What do
you think when you see so many Southeastern Conference in
acc schools schools in the South. Whether it's the frat
guys at North Carolina who refuse to let the flag
touch the ground, or whether it's at many different SEC
(25:02):
campuses where protesters showed up and chanted back against the
pro Hamas, pro Palestinian defense of October seventh. What do
you feel about both of those perspectives as a guy
who spent a lot of time with kids on college campuses.
Speaker 4 (25:17):
Well, listen, Claire, as you know, young people Americans want
to right wrongs. We are for liberty, We are for freedom.
Who wouldn't be against occupation, colonization, radicalization, racism. The problem
is it's not true. The problem is these kids on
(25:40):
these college campuses that are protesting have been sold lies
and propagandas and things that are simply false. And so
the Arab world decided, and and some of the air
world has the science is the beginning of time, and
in the Bible that there's there's a there's a challenge,
there's a conflict with living with the Jewish people. And
(26:03):
certainly when the State of Israel was created, when Zionism
began the late eighteen hundreds early nineteen hundreds, many Jews
began to come back to a homeland that was promised
to them and their ancestral homeland. Tensions began to build,
and it was the decision of some of the Arab
leadership except we're going to leave the Palestidians there. We're
never going to accept the state of Israel. We're never
(26:25):
in accept the Jews living in Jerusalem, or living in
East Jerusalem, or living in places where the Bible was written,
like Hebron or Sham or all these other communities that
you would have gone and seen. You know, the guarding Kyosemite, Okay,
where Jesus was betrayed is in East Jerusalem. David's Palace,
the city of David is in East Jerusalem. That's supposed
to be the capital of a Palestinian state. And oh,
(26:47):
by the way, in the state of Israel, while there
are nine million people, six million Jews and three million others,
how many Jews would be living in the Palestidian state
in this two state solution. And the answer is none,
because if there weren't.
Speaker 3 (27:02):
Ejews there, they'd be dead.
Speaker 4 (27:04):
Okay, this is PREMI Signette naw who nailed it. He said,
this isn't this is right and wrong, this is good
and evil, this is humanitarian and barbarism. So when I
said these kids on college campus, I'm like, dudes, you
are completely misinformed. Okay, you are wrong about this. I
would stand with you if what you were saying was true.
(27:26):
On the other end, certainly proud of the evangel Christians
in the South and others in the community that have
taken a different approach. Why some of them have done
at church or going to synagogue. They know their Bible,
they know the history, they know the reality, and they
also understand this. It's one thing to protest. I was
in Washington, d C. For BB's speech. I walked the
(27:49):
streets of Washington, d C. And even walk through and
around and close to some of those protesters. When I
saw Palestinian women or children or kids, you know what,
my heart kind of reached out to them, saying, you
know what, I bet they've suffered. I bet you they've suffered.
You know who needs to be freed from Austin HASBLA.
The Palestinian people. They've been used as shields, They've been
(28:12):
used as ponds, they've been using weapons by those terrorists
to try to send the world a message that they've
been mistreated, you know what. And I felt badly for them,
But about seventy five percent of the protesters they kind
of looked like.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
You and me was just a little bit longer hair
and maybe.
Speaker 4 (28:28):
Not as well bathed. I mean, that's that's who they
look like. Okay, And and and and so we're not
gonna accept violence. We're not going to allow you to
take our flags down and burn burn flags and put
up palacin and flats. No, no, no, not in our watch,
not here in this country.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
You're a little bit like me, I bet in that
you love sports. You've had tremendous success. I think you're
gonna win a national championship at some point. But when
you look at what's going on in the world, is
it hard to be as folks on sport when you
see what's going on in the larger context. I'm just
kind of curious, even for a guy like you who's
(29:06):
had tremendous success as a coach, when you look around
at the larger world, how does that impact you and
the job with which you are working as hard as
you can at every day. How does that impact your perspective?
Speaker 4 (29:18):
Well, Claire, I think you kind of hit the day
on the head when you said we had some things
in similarity. There used to be you were sports, sports, sports, sports.
That's where you got your start, that was what your
passion was, that's what.
Speaker 6 (29:29):
You knew, and then you you began to evolve into
something that you know what, there's some other things going
on in this world and in this country that kind.
Speaker 4 (29:40):
Of mattered more to you than just covering sports. I'm
really proud of you for the way you involved the
messages that you're delivering, And yeah, there are Look, I
got a job to do, and I love Auburn basketball
and I love the SEC and I got a really
good team this year. And I'm not going to take
away time or talent or energy away from what I've
got to do. I gonna do my job. But yeah,
I do worry about where we're at. I worry about the.
Speaker 5 (30:03):
I worry about where we are right now, where the
world is at war in Ukraine and Russia and and
and what's going on in China, and what's going on
in the Middle East right now.
Speaker 4 (30:13):
And so much of it was preventable. It was just preventable.
Ukraine should have been told from the Jeff, look love yet,
but you're not getting in the NATO right now.
Speaker 5 (30:22):
You're just not. Russia is not going to have it.
Speaker 4 (30:24):
You can work with both of us, otherwise there could
be war. We empowered it. President Obama believed, and I
believe well intentioned Clay that he could bring our ran
into the world of nations could bring them in a
normalcy and peace and productivity and whatever.
Speaker 3 (30:39):
He was wrong.
Speaker 4 (30:41):
They are an Islamic extremist state led by They're holding
their people hostage and they don't really want peace and normalization.
And what did our government do? What did President Biden do?
He believes us like Obama, Hey man, we can, we
can do this nuclear peace treaty. We can. We can
allow them to sell Somem oil and be no, you
(31:03):
can't because they take all that money and they give
it to them to the terrorists Iran. This country does
not need to go to war where I ran. But
we need a bankrupt Iran and that government and not
let them fund the terrorism. We created the situation on
the ground right now where thousands of people have already
died because of our poor decisions in foreign policy. There
(31:28):
cannot be two sides. And by the way, there are
many Gulf Arab states, many who are really happy that
Israel is taking care of the problem of Hamas and
Hezblah and Iran.
Speaker 6 (31:39):
They don't.
Speaker 4 (31:40):
None of us like the death death of the innocent people.
None of us want war. It's awful and what's going
to happen right now in Israel potentially with Hesblah in
the north right now, is going to be hap is awful.
I hope there's a strong hope the United States is
strong and and and gives Israel the ability to defend
yourself because I think the gloves are really really going
(32:01):
to come off, and there's going to be a lot
of death and dying on both sides.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
Auburn men's basketball coach Bruce Pearl, I bet there are
a ton of people out there, maybe Alabama fans even
they're like, man, it's hard to root against this guy.
I appreciate you calling in and hopefully we'll be able
to get to Israel soon because you've been telling me
what an amazing country it is for a long time.
I thought you were going to come on and tell
me that our flights get canceled. But we'll talk to
(32:25):
you again soon. And good luck with the upcoming season.
Speaker 4 (32:28):
Okay, God bless America and I'm yes, Okay, thanks for
covering it, Clay.

(34:06):
out Buck Sexton. We're scheduled. I was scheduled to be
in Israel next week. That now has been canceled, so
I'll be on with Buck tomorrow. I think is the
Plan Now podcast out there really great? I mean, how
great was Bruce Pearl? You guys are blowing me up
right now. In addition to Donald Trump a little bit earlier,
(34:27):
a lot of you who are not Auburn basketball fans
are now going to have very hard time not rooting
for Bruce Pearl. I've known him for a long time.
He's an awesome guy and just really gets it as
somebody who spent a lot of time with college kids
for across the country. Just the world that we're in today,
(34:52):
where there's an inability to recognize evil is probably the
thing that troubles me the most. And you heard me
talking with Bruce there. Look, I love picking who I
think is going to win the Super Bowl. You guys know,
I love college football. I've taking Buck on the road
with me. That's fine when there are relatively minor, and
(35:14):
I say minor disagreements in the country. You talk about
tax policy, corporate tax rate, things like that, which we
usually used to fight about in politics. Oh, I think
it should be twenty eight percent. I think it should
be fifteen percent. Whatever. That's important. Economics matter a great deal.
(35:35):
But it ain't good and evil, not in the way
that it's crystallized. I think right now for many of you,
when you kill someone specifically because of their religion or
their ethnicity, that's evil. What happened to Israel on October
(35:55):
seventh is evil. The fact that so much, how many
people in this country are unable to recognize evil is
a sign that we are in a very dangerous place,
because if you cannot recognize evil, then good can't try
(36:16):
it because there's not even a recognition of what good
and evil is, I think for many parts of this
country right now, and it's certainly incredibly ironic at this
point in time, where so many people on the left
have been telling you and me and many of us
that were on the wrong side of history. They're now
(36:38):
winding up on the side of Nazis, and they don't
even recognize that that's what they're doing. These are the
stakes they matter. Thanks for hanging out with us. We'll
see you tomorrow.
