Hour 3 of The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show delivers a dynamic mix of political commentary, cultural critique, and edgy humor, engaging listeners with timely insights and provocative discussions. The hour opens with a push to grow the show's digital footprint, encouraging fans to subscribe to the Clay and Buck podcast and YouTube channel to reach younger audiences on platforms like TikTok and YouTube.

The hosts revisit a major political milestone—the defunding of PBS and NPR, a long-standing conservative goal finally realized under President Trump. They also reflect on a recent interview with Alan Dershowitz, who addressed the controversial Epstein files, defending his own reputation and asserting that Trump was not named among the accused. The conversation critiques media narratives and public skepticism surrounding the Epstein case.

A notable segment features Joe Scarborough questioning why Democrats failed to act on Epstein-related investigations during their control of the DOJ from 2021 to 2025, sparking debate about political accountability.

The show then pivots to pop culture, analyzing comedian Shane Gillis’ controversial ESPYs monologue. Gillis’ jokes—targeting figures like Trump, Bill Belichick, and the WNBA—sparked backlash for their politically incorrect tone. The hosts argue that Gillis’ performance reflects a broader cultural shift away from “woke” ideology and toward a renewed appreciation for unfiltered comedy. They highlight the ideological leanings of sports media, particularly ESPN, and the internal tensions sparked by Gillis’ jokes.

Listeners are also treated to a humorous debate about Titanic’s Rose and Jack, Leonardo DiCaprio’s acting legacy, and the absurdity of a CBS reporter claiming PTSD from Trump supporters at a rally. The hosts mock the media’s portrayal of Trump voters and emphasize the disconnect between elite journalists and everyday Americans.

Speaker 1 (00:01):
Welcome back in our number three Clay Travis Buck Sexton Show.
Appreciate all of you hanging out with us open phone lines.
We just had Alan Dershowitz on the program at the
end of the last hour. If you want to way
in on anything he said, you can hop on the
line and let us know. You can also give us talkbacks,

(00:21):
easy way to get in touch with all of us.
Want to continue to encourage all of you to go
subscribe to the Clay and Buck podcast. I want us
to get one hundred thousand subscribers. I believe we are
sitting around eighty two thousand, but just about every time
that I ask you guys to go subscribe, we add
about a thousand people. So that would suggest I'm going

(00:42):
to have to do this for about three weeks and
then we're gonna hit a hundred thousand subscribers and we
can continue to grow from there. I think there is
a very strong chance that soon you will be able
to watch to the extent that you want to, and
I understand why some of you would say that you
do not want to. You will be able to watch
and me on the program video wise on the on

(01:05):
the YouTube channel. So we just want to be as
many different places as we can be to allow you,
guys to consume the show to your heart's content. Certainly, download,
subscribe to the podcast, and you can find us all
over the social media channels that you might otherwise be consuming.
So that is a kind of no brainer, as I

(01:26):
would encourage you to kind of find us wherever you
may be. And if you are trying to reach and
influence kids, grandkids, people who are young, they're on YouTube
and they're on TikTok. That is where my kids are
all the time. They watch no television, that is where
they spend all their time. On social media, you can
share links from the show, maybe things that you would enjoy.

(01:50):
A couple of news stories that I think are important.
We talked to Senator Marsha Blackburn last hour as well.
They've talked about it since Marsha Blackburn said, all the
way back, since Ronald Reagan was president, defunding PBS, NPR,
no taxpayer funds.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
It has finally happened. So that is yet another promise made,
promise kept by President Trump. Buck just quickly here on
the Dershowitz. I understand that people are going to say, oh,
and that's why. I directly asked him. I said, hey,
a huge percentage of this audience is going to say
you're lying. He jumped right in and started answering it beforehand.

(02:26):
I understand we're at a point where people who believe
that there is a huge, massive cover up on Epstein
are going to believe everyone who talks about it is
lying if they're saying something other than every famous person
you know should go to prison for this. That is
where the Epstein expectations have gone. I think, as we

(02:47):
have said on the show, the decision to go with
Phase one of the Epstein Files and bring in all
the social influencers and parade them in front of cameras
holding binders that had no information in them, that was
a calculation. But Alan Dershowitz came on made his arguments
to you about what he knows to be in there,
actually named a bunch of guys. Specifically said that Trump

(03:11):
was not named as someone who was accused inside of
the Epstein files. And I don't know very many people
outside of having worked in the Department of Justice or
the or the FBI that would have more knowledge than him. Also,
I wanted to play this. I don't know this ever
happened before. Buck, I'm gonna give credit to Joe Scarborough.

(03:35):
Joe Scarborough, I this is I mean, this is a
record scratch moment. This has never happened in the history
of the program. But Joe Scarborough had a Democrat congressman
on the program and it was a simple and straightforward question.
And I do think it is one that all of

(03:56):
you should keep in mind. All of these people claim
that they care so desperately on the Democrat side suddenly
about what is going to end up happening with the
Epstein files, but they were actually in positions of power
for four years. None of these people said a word
about it. Can we play Joe Scarborough, of all people

(04:19):
making that point this morning on Buck's formerly favorite show, Morning.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Joe Congressman can have gotten that from twenty one to
twenty five when Democrats controlled.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
NEOJ why it was a crisis. Then it's a crisis.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Now why didn't Why didn't Democrats call far from twenty
one to twenty five?

Speaker 4 (04:40):
So, I mean, you'd have to go back and look
specifically at particular prosecutorial decisions and what was taking place
in terms of the other cases. So I don't know
we could try to reconstruct that record. But the point
is is that Donald Trump is the one who has
led the crusade to say that Epstein who was his

(05:03):
very close friend, and there's all kinds of pictures of them.

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Okay, he went on there.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
But I do think those of you out there need
to understand if on the Trump voter side, people want
to debate about Epstein. I think that's valid, but also
understand that Democrats are now trying to score political points
and they have zero interest in any kind of activity
having to do with delivery on the Epstein front, because

(05:30):
if they did, they would have not just had power
for four years and done nothing. I do think that's
significant here.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
They are used.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
This is one point that Trump has correctly pointed out.
They are using this to try to divide the Republican side,
and they aren't doing it with clean hands themselves. They
wanted nothing to do with any kind of Epstein stuff
when they were in power. Now they turn around and
try to get Trump with it and other Republicans. Can
we talk about the SP's now, yes, now we can

(05:59):
have them. Let's let's pivot. Can we pivot and have
some fun here? We did to make sure. We completely
delivered on the Epstein thing. I think we got Dershowitz on.
I think we've answered everything now on that. All right,
let's have some fun last night, do you have Do
you know Shane Gillis at all Buck?

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Do you know that comedian? Have you watched him very much?
I do? But one, just one just programming note here.
Clay was going to be off today, just so you know.
He had the day off, but he loves the show
so much that he just decided this morning he didn't
want a day off. So he's here so cause I
said right back.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
I had a dinner with one of the big advertisers
on the show, fabulous Dinner the Prize Picks Crew down
in Atlanta, where they're based. We went to an early
dinner six o'clock. I was done at eight thirty, and
I was like, hey, I can sleep in my hotel room,
or I can just drive back and not have to
drive back during the day, so boom, you get three
hours of me.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
I'm gonna tell you if it's if it's a less
than three hour drive and I can make it at
night and be in my own bed. I actually always
choose that. I always want to be in my own
bed if I could make that. If it's just a
drive situation, so whenever we're up we're in Palm Beach,
or we're in Naples, Yeah, we're in Tampa. If it's
a striking distance drive and I can be home that night,

(07:13):
that's what I do too. So I get that.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Okay, so I understand somebody didn't watch this and you
asked me about Shane Gillis, so I'll just yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Shane Gillis to me, became incredibly famous based on a
couple of clips he did from a stand up where
it was actually his trump. I think it was called
Beautiful Dogs was the name of the stand up, and
he did Trump talking about the Bagdaddy Raid, which is
one of the funniest stand up clips, standalone stand up
clips that I have seen in years. It holds up

(07:41):
very well. And now he's he's become a pretty big
household name, certainly for a comedian. Okay, can we play.

Speaker 1 (07:48):
Let's start with this one because this was one you
have to listen carefully. This was one that I was
so you can go watch the entire ten minutes, and
I think it's pretty funny. It is edgy off the
chart to Edgy for Disney and ABC and ESPN because
it is not politically correct. But first, I think we

(08:08):
have the audio, and I don't have the numbers in
front of me, So he plays a prank.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
You really kind of need to see the video.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
But I thought this was one of the funniest parts
of his Of his monologue, he introduces a woman in
the stand in the crowd as a four time w
NBA All Star. Everyone in the whole place collaps. Listen
to this.

Speaker 5 (08:30):
Can we stop pretending Donald Trump knows ball?

Speaker 6 (08:33):
It's like a weird thing where they're like, man, he
loves what he doesn't know anything about sports. Every time
a team comes and visits the White House, he's like,
and you must.

Speaker 5 (08:41):
Be the guy who catches.

Speaker 6 (08:44):
It's like, look at these guys, big guys, black guys.

Speaker 5 (08:51):
And that's just when the New York Liberty visited.

Speaker 1 (08:56):
Okay, that is a little bit different, Joe, but that
New York Liberty is WNBA team, and he basically just
CAI didn't basically he called them all men. And you
can hear that reaction where everybody's like, ooh, there are
angry people inside of ESPN. The DEI text threads and
email chains are blowing up like crazy, and we have

(09:19):
several different cuts here and again. I think it's just
kind of emblematic of how quickly everything has changed in
the culture. Here he is making fun of the bookie
talking about Bill Belichick and his super young twenty four
year old girlfriend.

Speaker 6 (09:37):
Cut three, Hey, bookie, is what Bill Belichick reads to
his girlfriend before bedtime?

Speaker 5 (09:48):
They do? They read the very Horny.

Speaker 6 (09:51):
Caterpillar, the Little Engine that Could but needed a pill first,
and of course the classic good night boot.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
And then here is cut one. He made an Epstein
joke as well, which kind of points out, hey, this
thing is totally suffused society in general.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
Cut one.

Speaker 6 (10:11):
Actually, there was supposed to be an Epstein joke here,
but as it got deleted, must have probably deleted itself, right,
probably never existed. Actually, let's move on as a country
and ignore that.

Speaker 1 (10:26):
Uh So, he made a lot of people uncomfortable. He
did what comedians used to do. It wasn't as good
as the Ricky Gervais opening for the Golden Globes, which
I think is the greatest monologue in modern history in
terms of ridiculing the crowd. But he made a lot

(10:46):
of the people in the audience uncomfortable with some of
the jokes that he told. And I thought it was
pretty good. And I think it's culturally important because it
respects or signifies how things are changing. By the way,
let me play this. This is the last to Gillis
thirty five. This is when he makes fun of nobody
knowing WNBA players. All right, it might not be in yet,

(11:08):
we'll play when we come back. So what's your takeaway
on this.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
I was surprised at how edgy he was.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
We got two edgy ones still to play, so we
can play those in a sec.

Speaker 7 (11:20):
Here.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
I was a weak back out of the next break.
He was willing to go there. And obviously it's gotten
the SP's a lot of attention, but just goes to
show you how ideologically infused, as I have learned, in
large part from your presence here on the show, the
sports media actually is how left wing they are that
there are people who work at ESPN who, instead of

(11:43):
saying wow, people actually remembered that the espis were on
because of this guy. I'm sure that there'll be more
talk and more chatter online about the SP's, and there
has been in a very long time. I didn't even
know what was happening last night. All I saw was
the Shane Gillis clips. They don't view this as busy
and first they view this as they think that there
are lines that aren't allowed to be crossed in the

(12:05):
world of of the woke, and he crossed some of
those lines. That was the thing that uh, you know,
the w NBA is one of these, uh, the left,
even though they don't watch it, they feel the need
to protect it. You're not allowed to really go after
the w NBA there there. It's like, uh, you know,
they're they're they're in the safe zone of you can't

(12:27):
make jokes about.

Speaker 1 (12:29):
So we play these when we come back, by the way,
so we've got a couple of more that I think
are going to make you laugh and also indicate the
culture winds shifting in a substantial way. And I think
Buck pointing out like who you're allowed to make fun
of is a huge part of where the culture winds are.
Because remember Dave Chappelle, They tried to cancel his own
Netflix special because he made fun of trans people and

(12:50):
their opinion was, well, you can't make fun of trans
people at all. Uh, And Dave Chappelle obviously did not
support that idea. Right now, over in Israel, weird dealing
with the continued fallout of the battle that basically began
on October seventh in twenty twenty three when Israel was invaded,
and the International Fellowship of Christians JEWS has been an

(13:11):
important link to help make that part of the world safer.
They're giving so much in terms of bombshelters, in terms
of bulletproofing, first responder vehicles, all those things. Your gifts
can help make a tremendous difference to protecting people in
Israel as they are constantly dealing with the threat and
the danger of missiles falling at any moment, bombs going off.

(13:34):
Now's your time to save and heal Israel's innocent and
most vulnerable. To rush your gift call eight eight eight
four eight eight IFCJ. That's eight eight eight four eight
eight IFCJ. You can also go online at IFCJ dot org.
That's IFCJ dot.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Org News and politics, but also a little comic relief.
Clay Travis and Buck Sexton.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Find them on the free iHeartRadio app or wherever you
get your podcasts.

Speaker 2 (14:07):
And welcome back into Clay and Buck. All right, so
we got some more jokes flight up. We got jokes
here and not just references to Titanic, where Clay, as
Rose in this analogy, is clinging to that door while

(14:29):
people are just popping below the ink black see uh
and and going down into the depths at night and
Clay could reach down and save New York Jack in
this and know he's actually just pushing New York's head
under the water, saying, you know what, the better it
is for.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
You to be fair. A lot of people are rooting
for me to continue the drowndings. I asked, should Republicans
stop panicking and try to find an alternative and or
just let mom Donnie win and just let basically mom
Donnie win. Seventy six percent of the audience is voting
just let mom Donnie win and get out of the way.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
You know, didn't didn't a lot of them go to
New York for Christmas holiday and go to Macy's and
sit on Santa's lap when they were kids or whatever? Like,
don't they have memories of New York City that make
them nostalgic? All right? Maybe not? Apparently not, So I'll
just get past that one. All right, we got thirty four.
This isn't we got. I haven't heard these two jokes.

(15:33):
Clay sent these jokes in, So this is all on
Clay if anyone, if anyone is upset by the edginess
of the joke. I'm taking no heat for this one.
This is thirty four, but it's not Clay saying it.
It's Shane Gillis hit it.

Speaker 6 (15:44):
When Caitlyn Clark retires from the WNBA, she's going to
work at a waffle house so she can continue doing
what she loves most, fist fighting black women.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
Oh yeah, oh yeah. Reaction.

Speaker 5 (16:01):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
Buck's face is great on this. He hasn't heard the
this is this is what ESPN put out. And I'm
telling you there is a full on revolt at the
end of the company.

Speaker 2 (16:10):
Over there. I could imagine the woke gen Z and
millennial contingent of ESPN employees are not happy. Where right,
He's sp jokes. So there is a Caitlin Clark and
basically she gets beat up by everybody in the WNBA.

Speaker 8 (16:24):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
Here is another joke. This is uh and the video
is out there. We'll put it. Put it up at
the Clay and Buck accounts so that you can see it.
But he is.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Pointing out to the crowd, as one often does at
these events, and drawing attention to this woman, a four
time w NBA All Star. Listen carefully, this is what
it sounded like.

Speaker 6 (16:46):
Four time WNBA All Star Britney Hicks is here.

Speaker 5 (16:48):
Give it up for Brittany.

Speaker 6 (16:49):
Everybody, I'm uh, I'm joking around.

Speaker 5 (16:54):
That's my friend's wife. I knew.

Speaker 6 (16:55):
None of you knew w NBA players. That's crazy you
clap for that.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
This is actually a pretty good joke, all right, So no,
you point to somebody, they put the camera on her,
and everybody's cheering. A four time NBA star and it's
WNBA star. Turns out nobody has any idea who she is,
and they're just clapping for clapping sake. So that entire
monologue is up, not perfect, not the greatest monologue that's
ever been done. But I do think culturally it is

(17:26):
sending messages about how society is altering and largely rejecting
sort of the woke universe that was created. We'll take
some of your calls, will react again. We had Alan
Dershowitz on in the second hour. Some of you weighing
in on that. Also a lot of people weighing in
on every subject under the sun. Eight hundred and two

(17:46):
two two eight eight two. If you want to call
and we will play a bunch of your talkbacks here
in the last half hour. In the meantime, Some families
are fortunate enough to have a place to get away.
A listener of ours in Chicago has parents who love
spending time at the fan family second home, perfect in
every way a lake house, except there's no cell phone,
so the family decided no good cell phone service there,

(18:08):
So the family decided to buy several pairs of rapid
radio walkie talkie's.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
Got elderly parents going out there all the time.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
Modern day connections versions connected by a nationwide LTE network,
so the family can stay connected anytime, anywhere with just
the touch of a button. Peace of mind that comes
with that kind of connection with parents in their eighties,
big deal makes all the difference. Order yourself a pair,
send one to your parents home, keep one for yourself.
Get hooked up right now. I promise you're gonna love it.

(18:55):
Sexton on the front Lines of Truth. Welcome back in
a Travis buck Sexton Show. I appreciate all of you
hanging out with us as we are rolling through the
Thursday edition of the program. I appreciate all of you.
Let's have some fun with this. We talked about Sunday,

(19:15):
right Sunday was the one year anniversary of the near
assassination of President Trump, and we talked about on Monday,
and I think also on Friday leading into and after
that anniversary, what a tremendous change in history it would
have been if we had seen that succeed and President

(19:37):
Trump had been shot on television, and how fortunate we
all were to avoid that happening. And so I do
think this is interesting primarily because journalists can make a
lot of things about themselves. And this though even kind
of staggered me. We have a CBS Sports, sorry, CBS

(20:01):
News reporter that is discussing what he saw on that day.
He was there covering the event at Butler, Pennsylvania. He's
on with Chuck Todd. This is Scott McFarlane. He says
that he got PTSD not because Trump was almost shot,
but because after the shooting of Trump, he saw in

(20:25):
the eyes of the Trump supporters at the rally that
they were going to tear him apart if Trump had
actually been shot.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
This is real. How do you make it about yourself?
Trump takes a bullet to the ear.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
This guy took a leave of absence and said he
has PTSD because of Trump. Supporter CBS News correspondent Seth
McFarlane Scott, Sorry, Scott McFarlane cut twenty six.

Speaker 9 (20:52):
For those of us there, it was such a horror
because you saw an emerging a Maria and it wasn't
the shooting, Chuck, this was I got diagnosed with PTSD
within forty eight hours. I haven't put on trauma leave.
Not because I think of the shooting, but because you
could you saw it in the eyes, the reaction to

(21:13):
the people. They were coming for us. If he didn't
jump up with his fist, they were going to come kill.

Speaker 6 (21:18):
I know.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
They were going to come kill him.

Speaker 6 (21:22):
Buck.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
He survived. It was basically like nam Clay Clay. My
man needs he needs chalk stat like a lot, Like
we need to send him a palette, not even just
a box, a palette of chalk. He needs to start
just downing that stuff. Because the wimpiness level on this
guy with the PTSD from people being mad at the
media is truly off the charts, even for libs. The

(21:46):
T levels. Rosie o'donald's got higher T levels than this guy.
I mean, this is pretty scary stuff. Can you imagine
Surely some of the.

Speaker 1 (21:54):
Bosses at CBS News were like, you're taking a leave
of absence for PTSD because Trump got shot, but you
think you were in danger from his supporters, You think
they were really gonna kill you. I mean, this is
next level delusion. I do think it's significant. So, yes,
this guy's a pussy willow. He deserves to be ridiculed

(22:14):
and mocked. But I do think it tells us what
they think about Trump's supporters. Trump's supporters, in my experience,
are actually some of the nicest, most helpful people on
the planet, particularly those who are going to a rally
in Butler, Pennsylvania. They're gonna kill They're gonna kill the

(22:37):
media there. He's telling on himself about his inability to
impartially cover the news that he has such disdain for
the people that are at the rally supporting Trump. So
I think this is significance not only on a personal
level what it tells about him and what it wos
he is, but also what he thinks about all of

(22:59):
the people there who voted for Trump. So I thought
that was significant. By the way, we got a bunch
of talkbacks, and I was talking about how I wanted
and please continue for you to go subscribe to the
Clay and Buck YouTube channel.

Speaker 2 (23:13):
Uh. And this is from Sam from Minnesota, listening on
news Talk eleven thirty one oh three point five radio
up there, says, Hey, you guys are talking and influencing
a lot of young people every day. I do think
this is true.

Speaker 7 (23:27):
But AA, I mean Jack already had like hypothermia, he
was already freezing to death. So getting him on the door,
I mean the air it was freezing, he would have
died anyways, wouldn't have mattered.

Speaker 5 (23:40):
All right.

Speaker 1 (23:40):
That is actually another topic, which is I think that
Kate Winslet's character Rose let Jack freeze to death. That
is not what I called for. AA. Is Sam in
Minnesota kind.

Speaker 2 (23:52):
Of just or not? I want to weigh in. Okay,
Rose played by h M mcgatt, what's her name, famous
actress Kate Winsley, Kate Winsley, thank you. She was a buxom,
a buxom lass. You could say she could have she
could have taken little skinny.

Speaker 1 (24:12):
Leo and you know buxom lass or is that offensive?

Speaker 5 (24:16):
Now?

Speaker 1 (24:17):
I think that was like in eighteen eighty that was
the thing you would say about an attracted say, am
I box lass?

Speaker 2 (24:24):
I mean, FCC is not coming from me on that one?
And bucks them last? What's wrong she was? I'm saying
she could have warmed him up a little bit, held
him close. Little Leo he looked like he looked like,
you know, he was the the coxsin on the crew
teams for getting my drift, like not exactly an imposing
figure in that in that movie. So I think she

(24:45):
could have, you know, rubbed his little his little weak
man chest and uh and brought him back. I think
he would have been Okay.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
What odds do you think you could have gotten back?
In the Growing Pains day that the guest what was
he like adopted son or whatever he was on Growing
Pains back in the day, would become I do think
it's true that Leonardo DiCaprio, that character on Growing Pains,
was going to become the best actor of his generation.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
I mean, yeah, sure you could say that, but any
thousand to one, if you go back with any great actor,
you know, the early stuff, you'd be like, how could
you ever have known?

Speaker 1 (25:20):
You know, there's a there's talent, there's a lot of
luck involved too. I do think he's the most talented
of his generation. Now people are gonna say, hey, define
the generation. I think DiCaprio is forty seven or forty
eight if I'm not mistaken, So somebody who's under the
age of fifty, Brad Pitt would be a little bit older.
I think certainly Tom Cruise over sixty. Daniel day Lewis

(25:41):
you put in a different generation, well, I think yeah,
he'd be like seventy or something, probably seventy five. Great actor.
But if you look at the depth of movie that
DiCaprio has made, whether it's comedy, Wolf of Wall Street
actually very very funny, darkly comic, but the was it
The Aviator where he played Howard Hughes Titanic.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
Da Lewis only sixty eight. Let's not get too crazy here,
only sixty eight.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
But he only makes like one movie a year. Did
you watch the Lincoln movie when he played Abraham Lincoln.

Speaker 2 (26:09):
Yesh, when he had Lincoln talking like this the whole movie,
which was super weird by the way, like a high
whispery voice. I did not like the Lincoln movie. I
did not think it was good by the way we
were playing. This just popped on my feed. I think
you'll appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
New York Magazine, we talked about letting New York go
to Mom Donnie headline New York Magazine right now. Shane Gillis,
the famously offensive comedian, took several unfunny swipes at the
women of the WNBA during the annual sb Award Simmit ceremony.
This is their lead story right now at New York Magazine,

(26:45):
which is I told you this was going to happen
off air. I said, they're going to come for him
because he made fun made a joke at a black
woman's expense as a white guy.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
That's not allowed. And I guarantee you there's a full
fledged panic inside of Disney over this right now. Well,
keep me informed. Of any of the woke machinations behind
the scenes over at ESPN. I want to know what
ends up happening here. They're they're going to have to
do something. They're they're going to They're gonna have to
issue an apology for comedy maybe, which is perfect the

(27:14):
sports network. Okay, we had another clip you wanted to play.
I just wanted to weigh in on the bucks some
last but go ahead.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
Yes, I believe this was AA giving us some credit.
And again, this is why I want the YouTube subscriber
numbers out there. I want you guys to be able
to share clips with kids and grandkids where they are
as opposed to having to tell them, Hey, turn on
your radio at one point thirty in the afternoon and
you're gonna write, Okay, they're on YouTube.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
They're already there. You can send them links. Here is
AA reacting.

Speaker 7 (27:41):
Heank clam Bluff.

Speaker 9 (27:42):
I know you just said us as grandparents, parents.

Speaker 4 (27:44):
Nation, You're really under a plan coming on people.

Speaker 6 (27:47):
Last play are to buy you guys the radio every
single day.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
You're over the polar guy.

Speaker 7 (27:53):
In Minnesota that listens every single day and at day one,
thanks Peter Bluff to.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
Get Look, we love everybody of every age that listens.
I don't know if everybody could hear that. You want
to just get a quick summary. Seven twenty nine years old, Yeah,
twenty nine years old, blue collar guy from Minnesota. I've
listened every day for the last several years, and I
think you're talking to a lot of young people.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
I think that's true. Look, they're all different ages that
are out there listening. I'm just saying as a dad seventeen, fourteen,
and ten year old boys, it's YouTube and it's TikTok.
Otherwise they are not on any sort of otherwise media,
and so I think you can sometimes find your kids
and grandkids where they are. I love it if we
got fourteen year olds listening, right. We say this, you know,
we say this often about our beloved truckers because they

(28:36):
spend off in three hours every day with us as
they're doing their important work all across the country. But
it's really true of anybody given when our show is on.
I know West Coast is in the morning, but still,
you know, or it goes up to lunchtime, but people
are able to listen while they work in a way
that I think it's harder with YouTube, right, you can
actually put your headphones in. You could be in the

(28:56):
car driving and do what you gotta do. And so
it's a I think it's a great honor that we
get to keep people company while they're doing their jobs.
One of the great advantages of radio. One of the
great advantages of audio is we get to hang out
with you while you're being productive or not. If you
just decide you want to, like maybe shirt work, A
little bit show is just as good while you're hanging
out kicking your feet up on the desk and telling

(29:17):
Lumberg that somebody else is going to do the TPS
reports or even potentially Buck and I bet a lot
of you are in this category right now. They're secretly listening.
You got your earbuds in and you're sitting and you
don't have people think you're hard at work, but you
got the hair. That's when you got to play in
Buck secret Service squad where you have like the you know,
you have the earbud coming out of the your your
shirt cuff with your wrists. So yeah, absolutely we got

(29:40):
you want to do some of these some of these
fantastic talkbacks.

Speaker 1 (29:43):
Here at the end, why don't you do the read here,
so and then we'll come back and we'll tease these
fantastic talkbacks. But we appreciate everybody giving us these great talkbacks.
This is a business, so I should talk about the
business end of it like that. For example, bad idea.
Getting gold makes a lot of sense. And this is
an easy sale in the sense that if you look
up with gold has done forty percent in the past year,

(30:03):
and look at the price of gold in the twenty
first century. I mean, just look at the price of gold.
Look what it's doing on a charge. You'll say, hold
on a second, see because they can't just make gold
the peer poof on a spreadsheet. Oh, look at that,
there's more gold.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
No, and gold has had value all throughout human civilization,
never mind just all throughout this country's history. So I say,
get some gold. Get some gold to diversify your savings.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
All right, we're closing up shop today on Clay and
Buck and Uh Clay. You're in tomorrow, right, No, no
special surprise.

Speaker 5 (31:30):
I am.

Speaker 1 (31:31):
I am back in the saddle here home in Nashville.
No challenging. By the way, Happy birthday to my mom.
I'm glad you reminded me today is her birthday. We
got dinner tonight. I don't know what's the age where
you're not allowed to say how old a woman is.
I feel like there's an age and then you get
to an age where you don't care again, right.

Speaker 2 (31:47):
Is that fair?

Speaker 5 (31:48):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (31:48):
I don't know. I thought I think after thirty you're
just you just go air on the side of nobody
knows after really, but I thought maybe, like after seventy
you start to say your age again. No, a good idea.
She's eighty one. Okay, well she's eighty one. See what's
much young there?

Speaker 1 (32:03):
We got happy eighty first birthday to my mom unless
you're not supposed to know, in which case she is
forty one.

Speaker 2 (32:08):
I'm glad we established the rule for Clay just so
he could break it right away. So we will get
into the Welcome to My World. We will get at
some talkbacks.

Speaker 7 (32:17):
Here.

Speaker 5 (32:17):
We have.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
Gig Joshua in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Let's play it, Megadido Shields.

Speaker 8 (32:25):
Hi, guys, I'm sure you've both heard of and probably
seen Escape from New York.

Speaker 9 (32:31):
You know it's America's Gotham City. We got Chuck the Penguin, Schumer,
and Quid pro Cuomo.

Speaker 6 (32:39):
So why don't we just wall it off and there'll
be another wall that the left can be mad about.

Speaker 9 (32:45):
But it'll work.

Speaker 5 (32:46):
If you've seen the movie, you know what I'm talking about.

Speaker 9 (32:49):
God Bless America, God bless you guys.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
Everybody agrees with me on this, Buck, that we should
just toss New York City to the commies and.

Speaker 1 (32:58):
Strengthened the rest of the I knew it might be
a little bit controversial. I'd expect them to be so popular.
We got some funny ones. Jessica from outside New York says, maybe, well,
this is not even necessarily funny. This is following up
on the argument we had earlier. This is wr radio.
She wants New York City separated from the.

Speaker 2 (33:17):
Rest of the state.

Speaker 9 (33:18):
I agree with that clan Buck caller who said to
separate New York State from New York City.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
The city's politics are wild, crazy, and the people who
live in the actual physical state do not agree with them.

Speaker 9 (33:31):
I think if they were separate, city would be obviously
blue as it is, but this state would be red,
thank you.

Speaker 1 (33:39):
I thought secession might be a bit aggressive, Buck, but
it sounds like there are a lot of people out
there that are like, hey, you know the rest of
the state upstate, which is basically everywhere other than New
York City would actually vote overwhelmingly read.

Speaker 2 (33:51):
I wish I could say that this is so but
Buffalo very Democrat. What's that place? Rochester? Very Democrat? Spoken
like a true New York City guy. What's that place?

Speaker 5 (34:07):
What's that?

Speaker 2 (34:08):
What's that place that's also not in New York City? Yeah,
I mean you get out, you get out there, you know. Yes,
in the more rural areas, it's it's it's more red.
But any I think you Albany then, of course state
capitol Democrat. So it's not as easy. Friends.

Speaker 7 (34:24):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (34:24):
If I were if I were a strong islander, though,
if I were all about the great area of Long Island,
which is particularly beautiful and wonderful this time of year,
I would, you know, Long Island saying it wants to
be its own state. That would make a lot of
sense to me, because there you'd have some very sane governance. Overall,
I think we got a fun and hypothetical here. Do
you see this one? Mm? Let's play it.

Speaker 8 (34:47):
Hey, this is Ron from Florida, Love you guys. A
little while back, Clay said that he thought he could
swim from Alcatraz to the beach. I'm just wondering if
Clay thinks he could make it through the Everglades from
Alligator Alcatraz.

Speaker 6 (35:03):
I do not.

Speaker 1 (35:04):
That is a very it's a great take, great question.
I think I could still make the swim from Alcatraz.
But I mean that you anybody who has ever seen
the Everglades sometime if you're flying into Miami or South
Florida and you happen to look out the window, if
you have a clear day, I mean we're talking about
what is that like one hundred miles for that, I
mean that you could go in the wrong direction.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
You can't move very fast. It's a true wilderness area.
It's very big. Look, the only real problem you would
have would be the gators, and particularly the gators at night,
and if you have to move through enough water and
it's nighttime, I think I think that gets pretty I
think that gets pretty tough. I would rather make the
swim from Alcatraz than have to go over overnight through

(35:49):
the gator the gator infested parts of the Everglades that
you can see civilization from Alcatraz, anybody who's ever been there.
San Francisco Bay, as a civilization goes, is directly across
the bay in the Everglades. I mean you've taken those
airboat tours. You can go I mean huge distances without

(36:11):
seeing anybody at all. I mean that is not uncommon. Yes,
it would be quite a reality show, though, Clay and
Buck escape from alligator Alcatraz. How far would we get?
You know, that would be that would be interesting. Hopefully
Clay wouldn't leave me behind to get eaten by the gators.
There are also bugs. I think I think you would
fare off bet Well. Your skin is very very You

(36:31):
would get sunburned, really bad before we even had to
worry about the alligator. If you might die of sunburned,
I don't think you could take it up by some
pos That's not a cool way to go. That's rough.

Speaker 1 (36:44):
Well, it's like in the Civil War days, like you
sign up to fight for the North or South, and
then you get like measles and die in the camp.
But this is really kind of that's how most people
ended up dying of disease.

Speaker 2 (36:54):
Sadly,
