Speaker 1 (00:00):
Third hour of the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show
kicks off right now.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Thanks for being here with us, everybody.
Speaker 3 (00:06):
Clay and I in Washington, d C, our nation's capital,
but you're always with us when we're on the air
and off the air. Clay, I was getting a salad
yesterday right from the airport, you know, trying to stay healthy,
trying to be beach ready over here to the that
I can. You know, Clay and I are trying to
be trying to be fit radio hosts, which puts us into.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
A certainly by the way, in oxymoron, you know, usually
radio hosts, we like our bacon cheeseburgers. But I was
in there and within a few minutes of setting foot
in DC, some of our wonderful listeners.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
Came up to me and they said they love the
show and they were visiting here. They were not swamp natives,
but they were visiting our nation's capital. So it's great
to be here with all of you. As you know,
we've got a whole bunch of meetings lined up with
the people calling the shots here. Some at their request,
they said they want to spend some time with us.
So we're here doing our DC tour, so we can
touch base with everybody from the President on down who
(00:59):
is running things. And also over the weekend, Clay, you know,
we've talked a little bit here about how it would.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
Be fun to get you and Laura.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
We all know Laura is going to be a fantastic
shot if she isn't already do a range day. So
my brother Mason and I completed the NRA Pistol Instructor
Certification course over the weekend, had to call, had to
actually go through a bunch of a bunch of range
qualifications in order to do it.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
But we came through w are wondering.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
It's fifteen yards steel sites, twenty shots. I know a
lot of you are instructors, and I know a lot
of you are instructors, you know, black belt with three
stripes on and all that. But for those who aren't instructors,
it was fifteen yards iron sites. That wasn't a requirement,
but our guy wanted us to make sure we were
dialed in, so it was fifteen yards iron sites. At
(01:50):
least I think it was sixteen or seventeen out of
twenty in that six inch target. So yeah, so Clay,
we can set up a range day for you. Now,
it'd be absolutely fantastic. NRA certified and ready to rock
and roll big timers. Yeah, that would be a lot
of fun. Because my wife is pretty fired up about
the need for firearms training.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
So I mentioned this on Mother's Day.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
She had the kids and me out on the range
getting trained in firearms. I know, I loved it. I
saw the photos, I saw the video of it was
I don't know how many people wanted to spend their
Mother's Day that way. My wife was that was brilliant.
I was so pleased to see it. I'll just tell
you though.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
It was fun. During there were about twenty people in
this class. We had an excellent instructor down in South Florida.
But we had about twenty people in the class, and
I'd say about half of them. It was only two days, right,
it was Saturday and Sunday all day. But at the
end they all came up like, hey man, love the show.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
So we had a lot of I was like, I
think we're in a pistol class in South Florida with
NRA members, and these are people that shoot a lot,
a lot of law enforcement, a lot of a lot
of people who guns are something that they're caring for
part of their job who were in the class.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
And we got a lot of Clay and Buck people
in there. So it was unsurprised. Yeah, I was like,
I think we're with our people here. I looked around
and was like, oh, we are with our people. I
think there's also I mean, this is not going to surprise.
We were up here for inauguration Day. But I do
think that there are a lot of people that the
Trump team has brought into d C. Even though DC
is ninety two percent or whatever it is of a
(03:20):
Democrat stronghold. You know, I lived here during Republican administration,
and I lived here for during at least part of
a Democratic but so I was here for the Bush years.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
Oh, basically second Bush term. I lived the whole second
Bush term. I lived in DC more or less, and
the first two years.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
Of Obama, I think I was here.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
And then when you have that transition from one party
to the other, it feels like a very different town
just based on who's here and the vibe. I was
a kid, so it was less noticeable to me, meaning
I was in college. But I came in at the
very end of the Clintons and then the George W.
Bush era and then left right before nine to eleven,
(04:03):
which obviously changed things tremendously for the worst in so
many different ways. I mean, one of the reasons we're
up here now is obviously to get as many Senators
in as possible. You heard from Ron Johnson yesterday. We
had Tommy Tuberville and Marsha Blackburn in here. We want
to talk to as many newsmakers as we can in person.
Speaker 2 (04:19):
A lot more.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
We're going to have Marco Rubio in studio with us
on Thursday for a couple of segments, which I think
you guys will really enjoy. Secretary of State will dive
into some of those Ukraine questions that so many of
you have, and also what's going on in the Middle
East with Iran. A lot of different things we can
talk about with Marco Rubio. But my seventeen year old
(04:42):
and his friend, I'm in charge of him, and I
was telling you yesterday we were in Georgetown, I'm so
thankful that I've got a seventeen year old boy, because
if I had a seventeen year old daughter, there's no
way she's going to be I said, hey, guys, just
make sure he and his friend. Hey, make sure you're
back by dark and you guys can around. You can
be in Georgetown. I'm gonna be honest with you, Buck.
(05:02):
If I had a seventeen year old daughter, there's no
way on the planet I would be letting her run
around in Washington, d C.
Speaker 2 (05:10):
I would be nervous.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
About me because because you have obviously you know I
have this with my wife. Yeah, where you have the
location finder on your phone? Yeah, my wife and Kerry
knows where I am at all times. She knows where
she where, you know, and vice versa. But I know
you have that with your boys. Yeah, of course you
know immediate family. But if you had a seventeen year
old daughter, what do you think she has to carry
(05:32):
a GoPro around, you know, kind of like a like
a cop, Like she has to wear a body cam
just to make sure everything is on the up and up.
I was glancing down just to make sure, you know, like, hey,
where are they when we were having drinks, And that's
what I was like. I mean, if I had a
seventeen year old daughter.
Speaker 1 (05:49):
There's no way on the planet I would be like, hey,
just go wonder around you and your teenage girlfriend. Just
go wonder around in Georgetown, have as much fun as
you want. Just make sure you're back by dark. No, Dad,
they would, they would, Unfortunately for them, they would have
to do every meal with dad. And uh And I'm
not as much worried about the boys running around. Maybe
that's a poor decision by me on parenting, but who's
(06:11):
the disciplinary interview? And my wife is way tougher than
I am. That's probably not gonna surprise you. But but
I actually I think I think Carrie is gonna be
for you, young James. I think Carrie's gonna I'm gonna
be visiting length, buddy. You don't want me to turn
this over to your mom, right. I think Carrie's gonna
be the law and order in our house. She's pretty
tough on him sometimes. It's kind of funny we both
(06:31):
are in that position. I'm gonna be the one that's like,
you know, stuff happens. It's I already feel a little
bit sorry for the girlfriends of these, uh, these boys,
because I don't think that my boys that I don't
think she's gonna go too easy on them. So anyway,
I give thanks every single day that I've got three
boys instead of three girls. And I was thinking about
that yesterday as uh as we were rolling through enjoying.
Speaker 3 (06:55):
Let's dive and you know this one better than me.
I saw some of it over the weekend. I know
you talked to Riley Gains yesterday. There some updates to this.
The Simone Biles, who I remember, I got all the
things you got, I mean.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
Crush might be a little strung. There were some There
was some sour leftists out there saying some mean things
because you said on the show that you have gotten
ripped for harder than by like national media figures, very
like your takee. I'm sitting here, I am like to
port them by the millions, and no problem. Hey, I
don't think we need to celebrate Simone Biles stepping away
(07:28):
from her team during the Olympics. I didn't say that.
Speaker 3 (07:31):
I wasn't like, oh, she's a coward, you know whatever,
and she's an incredible shape and I'm not, and she's
a world class gymnast. I just said, you know, if
you pull a hammy and you can't finish, you know.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
It's list you go on the exactly. That's all I
was saying. And I got all these people are so
so so there's a little little history here, a little
history here, and I got actually got I got tagged
by a few national media figures on that one. But anyway,
update everybody on the latest here because she said, as
I said, along too. Look I saw this from Afar
Riley gains to say, Riley Gaines looks like a man.
(08:02):
Every guy in our audience is like nah, sorry, and
every gal I think, but I just you know, every
guy's like, no, it doesn't look like a man.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
Nice dry.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
It was a tough argument out of nowhere though. For
those of you missed it. Riley was on yesterday talking
about this. Simone Biles just ripped her for saying and
all Riley had done that set precipitated this was Riley
shared a photo of a Minnesota high school softball championship
team and a boy was on the girls team, which
is absurd and way taller. And all she said was
(08:35):
they've turned the comments off so people on social media
couldn't react, and out of nowhere, Simone Biles decided to
tee off on her and then said you look like
a man, which again, I mean, Simone Biles has done
all these body positivity things Riley is five. You know,
she measured herself like five five or five six. So now,
after multiple days of just getting attacked like crazy for
(09:00):
being on the wrong side of this issue, I want
to you haven't seen this. I want to read some
own Biles has some sort of strange pr apology up
and here's what she posted just a little bit ago.
I wanted to follow up from my last tweets. I've
always believed competitive equity. First of all, buck competitive equity.
(09:22):
Competitive equity is not a thing. Competitive equality is a thing.
The entire point of competition is to eliminate equity. We
don't want everybody to be the exact same, but I
always believe competitive equity and inclusivity are essential in sport.
The current system doesn't adequately balance these important principles, which
(09:45):
often leads to frustration and heated exchanges. And it didn't
help for me to get personal with Riley, which I
apologize for. These are sensitive, complicated issues that I truly
don't have the answers or solutions to, but I believe
it starts with empathy and respectful Well, this is written
for her by some PR crisis team one hundred percent.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
We know that you and I have been in this
game long enough to know that.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
And she's still still going, oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, No, no, no,
the PR team wrote this ridiculous statement. I was not
advocating for policies that compromise fairness in women's sports. My
objection is to singling out children for public scrutiny in
ways that feel personal and harmful. Individual athletes, especially kids,
should never be the focus of criticism of a flawed
(10:30):
system they have no control over. I believe sports organizations
have a responsibility to come up with rules supporting inclusion
while maintaining fair competition, which is actually impossible. We all
want a future for sport that is fair, inclusive, and respectful.
Hugs and kisses, Simone. Yeah, okay, so that was written
by a PR team. But she realizes there are a
(10:51):
few things here. First of all, her position, first and foremost,
her position is not just on her real position. I
don't mean the PR thing, the thing that she said
about Riley. Her position on men and women's sports is
irrational and indefensible. And then to add on top of that,
to go after a honestly anyone's appearance based on a
(11:13):
political issue like this, you've always really lost. Just to
start off with, I mean to do to the like
you look like a man thing. Fortunately, Riley, you know
we don't have to get into this, but no one
thinks Raley looks like a man. I mean, she's a
very very lovely woman in very good physical condition. And
I just think that she realized that she did real
brand damage here on top of the political issue. You
(11:35):
don't attack somebody's appearance, especially somebody who's really good looking,
like that's just insane.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
I think she lit herself on fire here.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
And it took three four days for her to put
out this mealy mouthed, jumbly not particularly well. Even with
all of the PR dollars that she's spending, that was
just a jumble in nothing. And when you just type
out what somebody tells you to say, I would have
more respect for, even though I would disagree with her completely,
(12:04):
if she just said I said what I said, I'm
right now, Yeah, you own it.
Speaker 2 (12:09):
At least I know I wouldn't.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
Agree to play Travis Speescher right then, I'm doubling down.
I'm tripling I'm not saying that I'm not gonna say.
At some point in my career, something that I didn't
intend to say, but in twenty years it's never happened,
So you should apologie, I've been married twenty years. Look,
you should apologize if you do things that you don't
intend to do and that that that are not reflective
(12:33):
of your intentionality.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
But that's not this.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
Also, she could have written she she could have just
written out and said you know, and we would know
it was from her, meaning she actually did the writing.
Someone Biles could could write out on her Twitter or
Instagram or wherever this is.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
And Riley, that was that was wrong.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
You know, you're a beautiful young woman and a talented athlete,
and I'm sorry that I would.
Speaker 2 (12:54):
I'm sorry that I would cross the line.
Speaker 3 (12:55):
It's a heated political issue and I just want to
have respect for all people or whatever, something where she
doesn't even have to get too deep into the politics
of it, but something that's a little bit heartfelt. This
is my PR team came in and cleaned up my mess,
which to me is once again inauthentic, Like I just
don't believe that she wrote this herself, and clearly of course,
but so that's what So it's it's not an authentic apology.
(13:18):
If it's an authentic apology, you write it yourself. You
just say, look, I I cross the line. My bad.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
I wouldn't do that again, and you know, and you
could move on from there. But to me, this is
just I still wonder, Buck, what is the intent here?
She's not that active on social media, she's not that political.
Did someone pay her to attack Riley like this? It
doesn't make any sense to me that you would suddenly
decide based on a photo of a Minnesota She might
(13:45):
have seen someone else that she respects and likes or
that wants the approval of. This is just me surmising
or analyzing this.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
And and she thought that there was an opportunity here
to score some points with someone or some group that
she wants the admiration. Because I agree with you, this
is not you know, they're they're like when when Keith
Olberman's chirping at.
Speaker 1 (14:05):
You, it's because he's always chirping and everybody, right, I
mean that's his job, right, That's what I'm saying. You
disagree like most people, I think, like someone Biles and
now they don't.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
Yeah, I mean Keith Olberman has a constituency miserable, childless,
sixty five year old women that he represents and.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
That's just the way it goes. And he looks more
and more every single day like a five year old lesbian.
True story in Friend of Mine just got back from
a trip with his family to Ireland. Do you know
who he bumped into on the street in Dublin? And
he bumped into Rosie O'Donnell on the street. And as
a fellow American, he's obviously conservative, he was just kind
of like, wait, really, and he asked her, said, how
(14:41):
do you like it here? She said, she doesn't like it.
She's gonna come home.
Speaker 2 (14:44):
Of course she doesn't like it. I mean America.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
The Irish don't like her there. Maybe this would be
a fun debate. If you're super wealthy, as Rosie is,
there are only a handful of countries that would be
actually better than the United States, even for the self
super wealthy. Ireland's not one. She lived in La Weather's perfect. Yeah,
you know, she's super rich. I'm not surprised she do.
Speaker 3 (15:06):
There's a reason why people look the way we do,
you know, not a lot of sunshine, a lot of booze,
you know.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
So I'm just saying the Irish, Yeah, you know it's true.
Don't send me that stuff. You know it's true.
Speaker 3 (15:17):
Look, Father's Day is this weekend, and I've got a
great gift idea for you, No, truly, truly a fantastic
gift idea.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
Welcome back in Clay Travis buck Sexton show. By the way,
we mentioned this Simone Bile's apology. Riley has accepted it,
and not surprisingly, Lassy Lady did so in a much
more eloquent fashion and in her own words, she.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Said she accepts.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
The apology closes by saying women's sports can't be used
as an excuse for girls to center the feelings in
validation of men and boys. I welcome you to the
fight to support fair sports in a future for female athletes.
Little girls deserved the same shot to achieve that you had.
Boom and Riley, guess what actually wrote what she tweeted
(17:36):
as opposed to having a pr team work for You know.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
What's interesting is actually gymnastics I think is maybe the
only sport where women get better ratings than men in
the same sport. It's a good point, I mean, because
people love to watch it.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
So Masimone biles chastened, locked and loaded and ridiculed. Look
Pure Talk getting a lot of attention for something they're
doing that is awesome. Founded by veterans. They believe every
service member who's faithfully served the country deserves to proudly
fly an American flag, one made in America. All you
have to do to join them is switch your cell
(18:10):
phone service to Pure Talk this month, a portion of
your monthly rate will go to provide high quality flags
to deserving veterans. This is an incredible offer in conjunction
with being able to save one thousand dollars over the
course of a year. Plan starting at twenty five bucks
a month, unlimited talk, text, plenty of data. You can
keep your same phone and your same phone number. All
you have to do is dial pound two five zero,
(18:32):
say Clay and Buck to support veterans and switch to
America's wireless company puretalk. That's pound two five zero, say
Clay and Buck do it today. Already it seems the
(18:53):
insane protests in southern California are filtering out a dying
down control order is being re established. That's according to
our friend Steve Hilton, who is running for governor there,
and he's a legal immigrant to this country, I might add,
which you can tell by his very cool accent, is
(19:15):
a huge advantage Clay, definitely in media and maybe even
as a dude in dating. To have a fancy sounding
British or any any cool accent like that is Steph
is a big leg up on the competition. I will
say that girls in England like American accents, like girls
in America like British accents. But for purposes of just
(19:39):
making an argument, how much do you think Douglas Murray
is helped who we've had on the show, super smart
guy by his British acts. Oh if Douglas Murray was like, hey,
you know, come over here. I'll tell you I was
in Israel for a few days doing my thing over here,
it would be a very if Douglas Murray had grown
up on Staten Island and had the exact same in
(19:59):
a we love you, we love you statue totally. Yeah, sorry, Statenyle,
Yeah yeah. First of all, Clay, you'd be nice to
my Staten Island. That's like most of our I do
think that if you gave Douglas Murray a New York
Staten Island, Jersey, wherever you want to put it accent,
that his overall moral compass would seem vastly I mean,
(20:23):
his moral authority coming from a place like if he
sounded like James Gandolfini is playing Tony Sopano, it was
as rarely as they got to do what they gotta do.
I mean, yes, it would be a little different. I
think that. I do think that's and so I think
Steve Hilton, it sounds so civilized to hear him talking
about incivility as he did on our program a little
(20:43):
bit earlier about from the Streets of la that it
actually resonates quite well for him.
Speaker 3 (20:48):
I felt like I should just improve my posture sitting here.
That's talking about civilization and being civilized. But let's get
into the broader politics of this and how I so,
I think there are two things Clay simultaneously working together
that are currently now This could change. I know there's
some effort to coordinate nationwide protests. Here's the thing, you
(21:09):
know they can nobody really cares, meaning you want to
gather together. Remember when we saw the inauguration protests, it
was sad with an exclamation point after it. We were here,
it was freezing outside, and there were some grannies from
Palestine who hate Trump on in one of the parks here,
like McPherson Square or something. It was one of those.
(21:29):
And you sit there and you go, all right, look,
if you want to stand there with a sign, fine,
stand there with your sign.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
This is America. You're welcome to do that. They know that.
Speaker 1 (21:38):
The only they're trying to always leverage the communist street
shock troops, if you will, who do this stuff to
get more attention and to really intimidate the population.
Speaker 3 (21:50):
Because no one can stand with your signs. It doesn't matter.
Most of the country agrees with Trump. And that's what
you're seeing here. Here is CNNs Harry Nton, who are
numbers guy Ron Gerdowsky actually gives some respect to Harry
says that he's a pretty good data analyst. Here is
CNN's Harry Enton talking about how Trump's approval rating is
(22:10):
surging right now on immigration.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
This cut three.
Speaker 4 (22:13):
You know, if we just take a look at the
baseline numbers. Here, this is Trump's net approval rating on immigration.
It's gone up like a rocket. Compare now versus eight
years ago. During Trump's first term, look at this, and
his first term, Trump.
Speaker 5 (22:25):
Was way way way under water at minus twenty one points.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
But look at this, He's up over twenty points now.
Speaker 6 (22:31):
In the aggregate, he is in positive territory at plus
one point on his net approval rating. Some other polls
even have it a little bit higher than that. There
is no issue on which Trump is doing so much
better than he was in his first term more than
the issue of immigration. No wonder The Times has written
up the way that he is. Trump is begging for
a fight on this because he knows what he's doing
(22:52):
so far is working with the American electorate.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
It's working, clay.
Speaker 3 (22:57):
And you see that because the Democrats who are trying
to stand against this, yes they're Democrats in California, know
that they are expected to say this is the worst
thing ever, and Trump is Hitler and all this other stuff. Fine,
but the nationwide, the national politics on this one are
not favorable for the Democrat Party. And it's a huge
(23:17):
A huge part of this is that the Democrat Party betrayed,
the Biden administration betrayed America with ten million illegals piling
in and we all know it.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
I think it's also a function of what should happen,
which is the marketplace of ideas over time should reward
the better market the better market arguments, and I think
Trump on immigration has been proven correct, and to be fair, Buck,
it's also just the crazy town arguments on the contrary
that are being made. For instance, I think we mentioned
(23:47):
this earlier in the program. This is Linda Sanchez. She's
a congresswoman from California, LA Area. She just said that
the LA riots that you have all watched with cops
getting pelt by rocks, with Molotov cocktails being thrown, WAIMO
had to pull all of their autonomous vehicles. Have you
(24:07):
seen this video, Like our friend Mary Catherine Ham described
it as the Saddus Pixar movie.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
Ever, all of the autonomous.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
Vehicles in LA are being pulled out of Los Angeles
after they lit five on fire and to attack them
with graffiti and everything else. Linda Sanchez four Days of
Riots we've seen. She said, Look, it's really not any
different than when a team wins a national championship.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
Cut six.
Speaker 7 (24:34):
We have been calling for protesters to protest peacefully, that
is their constitutional right. The vast majority of protesters have
been peaceful.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
There are always a few.
Speaker 7 (24:43):
Bad actors, and yes, we think anybody who commits property
damage ought to be arrested, and they ought to be prosecuted.
But to send in federal troops or marines when there
isn't a war atmosphere or war circumstance going on on
is just it's beyond the panel. I mean, it's authoritarian flexing.
(25:06):
It's not making anybody safer. Local law enforcement has said
they can handle the protest. It's no different than when
a team wins a national championship and people get over
excited and they overturn vehicles and light them on fire.
Local law enforcement is prepared to handle those types of situation.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
No different bucks just a four day celebration of a
team winning a title.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
And local law enforcement was overwhelmed, which you could see
on the videos, which is why the National Guard was
so necessary for the president to deploy. And I also
just think it's remarkable to hear something. She's taking me.
It was a mostly peaceful protest line, So why is
it that on January sixth were ninety five ninety nine
(25:49):
percent of people January sixth right here near the capitol.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
They were peaceful.
Speaker 1 (25:54):
There were some people destroyed some property, some people got
rough with cops.
Speaker 3 (25:57):
If you even said January sixth was the mostly peaceful protest,
they wanted to send you to the gulag.
Speaker 2 (26:03):
Okay, we all know what happened here in this town.
Speaker 3 (26:06):
Meanwhile, there are maniacs lighting cars on fire left and
right and televising it and proud of it in Los Angeles.
Speaker 1 (26:13):
But it's mostly it's fiery clay, but mostly peaceful. Well
that's why yesterday I played the Brian Stelter take, which was,
you know, ninety nine point nine percent of la is
perfectly fine. I mean, that was the argument that he
made because he thought that was important. And this is
like when people, you know, you can go to any war.
You know, you could show up right now in Tel
Aviv and be dancing on the beach in you know,
(26:35):
bathing suits and bikinis and.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
Be like woah, security is totally fun. There's no threat here.
Speaker 3 (26:40):
It's like well, yeah, obviously you have to go to
the places where the fighting is happening. You can do
this anywhere. It's absolutely absurd. Have we sent Brian Stelter
any chalk that man? I think the transformation we could
do of Stelter for' like, hey have that here? But
you know what happened, Clay, we sent up some chuck.
He would turn Republicans.
Speaker 1 (26:56):
Well, yes, and it also funny your point. Yeah, you
could be on a beach at Tel Aviv. Also, imagine
January sixth. The good analogy if you had said, ninety
nine point nine percent of DC is fine, there were
people drinking chardonnay in Georgetown the day of January six
what's the problem.
Speaker 2 (27:12):
It was fine in most of d C. It was
fine on the mall. Take it away from that.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
Imagine if you said that after a tornado, if you said,
you know, it's really unfortunate that you know, ten people
are dead and this tornado hit a huge swath of
a particular community, But.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
The tornado didn't hit ninety nine point nine.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
Here I am at the dairy Queen, untouched by the tornado.
Are we even sure that a tornado hit this town?
I'm not even we need we have conflicting reports because
I'm at a dairy queen and they're still serving ice
cream here. Clay madness also something else that they don't
want people to focus on. Here, Let's get back to
Harry Eton's analysis over at CNN. It's funny the only
(27:53):
things that are worth watching on.
Speaker 3 (27:54):
CNN are the Conservatives, Scott Jennings, my friend Shermichael Singleton,
Ben Ferguson was on recently another friend of the show,
the Conservatives slapping around liberals on that show with Abby
Phillips at night whatever time I think, I forget what
time that's on, and Harry Anton numbers analysis.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
The rest of CNN you can do without. Here's Harry Anton.
This is cut four on how Clay immigrants, immigrants to
this country are enormously more right wing now on the
issue of immigration than they previously were.
Speaker 5 (28:27):
Played four immigrant citizens, immigrant voters forigmball and voters have
gone tremendously to the right on this issue in twenty
twenty four and twenty twenty five versus where they were
on twenty twenty Closest to her trust more and immigration.
You go back to twenty twenty Democrats get this held
a thirty two point lead on this issue, immigrant voters
were in the Democratic camp.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
Jump forward to twenty twenty four to twenty twenty five.
Speaker 5 (28:48):
Look at that shift, a forty point shift to the
right among immigrant voters. Republicans now lead on this issue
by eight points over Democrats, more so than any.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
Other group that I could find.
Speaker 5 (29:02):
The group of voters who became more hawkish on immigration
were in fact immigrants themselves, immigrants who are registered to
vote in this country.
Speaker 3 (29:11):
This is what has the Democrats scrambling clay. How have
they shut down this issue in the past discussion of
this issue? How have they beaten Republican into submission and
made Rhinos run for cover?
Speaker 1 (29:24):
That go, it's racist, it's xenophobic. Hold on a second,
it is legal. It is Americans of Latino descent. It
is Americans who came from other countries who came here
the right way and are now citizens, who are saying,
what is this just running across the border stuff?
Speaker 2 (29:43):
This is nonsense.
Speaker 1 (29:44):
Well, they know better than anybody how hard it is
to become a citizen of the United States. They stood
in line, they followed the proper protocols. The immigrant citizens
of America looked at everybody flooding across our southern border,
and they knew that they were flouting American immigration law,
and so it doesn't surprise me that they would have
(30:06):
this reaction. But what I do think this ties in
with Buck is this is why the attacks on Trump
land flat, because people have become aware fully of his arguments,
and he's on the best side of almost every argument.
Speaker 2 (30:21):
Well.
Speaker 3 (30:21):
And also what you see is in some of these
legal immigrant communities, they tend to be places where a
lot of illegals want, you know, they either show up
there to work and they're competing in the you know,
the marketplace for jobs, and they have to put strain
on the resources there. This is why, I mean, the
single most remarkable vote transformation I think you can point
(30:45):
to have any counties in the entire country in this
last election, were those a couple of counties along the
Texas Mexico border that are essentially entirely Latin American, Okay,
entirely you know, people of Latino or Latin American descent.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
And they are the ones that are all voting Trump.
Speaker 3 (31:05):
They said, we can't have this, we just can't have
a wide open border here, and they vote the ones
who are here lawfully vote to maintain the country that
they came to. And this is what I think a
lot of legal immigrants and you know, and the data
supports us. This isn't just like I'm on a feeling here.
A lot of legal immigrants say, hold on a second.
To your point, Clay, I did this the right way,
(31:27):
and I want this country that I came to the
right way to keep being that country. And they know
it won't be if we take in ten million from
anywhere all over the world. However, they choose to show
up administration after administration, and.
Speaker 1 (31:41):
I think they're watching all those riots in Los Angeles
and they're saying, boy, I don't want to see all
these other foreign flags flying when I work so hard
to be you know, you.
Speaker 3 (31:50):
Know, it looked like it looked like some third world
hell hole where people act like spoiled children when they
don't get their way and they burn things down.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
That's not how we do things in this country. The
left does it here, I know, but that's the immigrants
you show up here. They don't want chaos. They want
the America they signed up.
Speaker 2 (32:05):
For, no doubt.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
We want our dads healthy, not just on Father's Day,
but every day. One way to do it Cardio Mobile
six L device, the world's first FDA cleared personal EKG.
The cardio Mobile six L can detect aphib a leading
cause of stroke. You can hold it in the palm
of your hand. It weighs less than an ounce. Cardiomobile
perfect way for your dad to manage his heart health
(32:28):
between doctors visits, easy to use records, right to the phone.
He gets six views of his heart. That's six times
the data of any smart watch at a fraction of
the cost. Give the gift of peace of mind for
the dads in your life or even for yourself. For
a limited time, Cardia is giving ten percent off. Go
to Cardia dot com. That's KA r DA dot com
(32:50):
or Amazon. Use code ten six L clay. That's the
number ten as in ten percent off Cardia models Clay
to get ten percent off your Cardia Mobile six L
in time for Father's Day. That's Cardia dot Com code
ten six L clay. So many different stories we have
(33:20):
been covering. We hope that the disaster that has been
taking place in Los Angeles is going to end up fading,
but I do think it's worth pointing out that on Saturday,
there is an expectation that there are going to be
rallies like these, protests like these, unfortunately probably violence like
(33:43):
these all over the country. I was looking at the
roster of where those are going to be taking place,
and I think that this was a test case scenario
to try to demonstrate what could happen with some sort
of Trump resistance. And to me, the unfortunate aspect of
(34:04):
this is I think it's unlikely that LA is going
to stand alone.
Speaker 2 (34:09):
Here.
Speaker 1 (34:10):
Got a couple of different people who want to weigh in,
by the way, a variety of topics. Let's go to
Dick in northern California. What you got for us?
Speaker 8 (34:20):
Hi, Clay, thanks for getting me on. I have a
legal question for you. I am not a lawyer. My
sense of logic tells me this though, that if a
person comes into this country other than by the legal
front door, he's committed a crime. Therefore he's defined as
a criminal. If it remains in this country, he's extending
(34:42):
that criminal out. He remains a criminal. He should be
prosecuted or pardon me. Anybody who harbors or entered or
provides safe haven for that criminal should be prosecuted. For
aiding in a bedding. Tell me what's wrong or right
about my logic.
Speaker 1 (35:00):
I don't think you're wrong about any of it. And
again this is why the next step. We had Marsha
Blackburn on the program yesterday. LA is getting a lot
of attention right now. There are many blue cities out there,
whether it's Boston with I think Constance wu is the
mayor there, Brandon Johnson in Chicago, certainly, Karen Bass in
(35:21):
Los Angeles. My location of Nashville has got a mayor
that has been speaking out aggressively about not being willing
to follow the law, and Gavin Newsom dared the President
through Tom Homan, to arrest him. I think there are
going to be increasing basically standing up against the federal government.
(35:43):
We talked about this yesterday. There's a supremacy clause. The
federal government dominates and controls immigration policy. So if you're
trying to stop that from happening, you're committing a crime,
not only for being illegally in the country, but for
the politicians that are trying to protect as well. We'll
be back here with you tomorrow, bring you more tales
(36:04):
from d C.
Speaker 2 (36:05):
Trump's d C.
Speaker 3 (36:06):
It's not swampy when Trump's in char Well, it's less
swampy when Trump's in charge. But we're looking forward to
bringing you more from our nation's capital, d C. Week
on Clay and Buck have some pretty high.
Speaker 1 (36:17):
Level business on We might be going to see a
good friend of ours tomorrow morning.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
We'll tell you more about it on the air. Be
quite a surprise with some fantastic insights.
