Hour 3 of The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show delivers a dynamic blend of political analysis, cultural commentary, and listener engagement, featuring an exclusive interview with Texas Governor Greg Abbott. The hour opens with a deep dive into Texas redistricting, where Governor Abbott outlines the potential addition of five Republican congressional seats and criticizes Democrat lawmakers for fleeing the state to avoid legislative duties. He highlights the hypocrisy of Democrat-led gerrymandering in states like Illinois, California, New York, and Massachusetts, while defending Texas’s efforts to reflect shifting voter demographics—particularly the growing support among Hispanic and Black voters for Republican candidates.

Governor Abbott also discusses legal actions taken against absent Democrat legislators, including Texas Supreme Court proceedings and statewide arrest warrants, emphasizing the importance of accountability and quorum in governance. The conversation shifts to the impact of recent flooding in Kerrville, Texas, where Abbott details ongoing search and rescue operations, disaster recovery efforts, and the push for new legislation to prevent future tragedies.

In a lighter segment, the show pivots to college football, with Abbott praising the Texas Longhorns as the top-ranked team in the nation. He previews their upcoming season opener against Ohio State, spotlighting Arch Manning and the team’s elite defense.

The hour also explores the evolution of media consumption, with Clay Travis announcing plans to stream all three hours of the show on YouTube starting January, citing the rise of video podcasting and the need to reach audiences across platforms. Listener feedback is featured throughout, including reactions to the show’s visual format, commentary on AI’s role in politics, and reflections on redistricting and the 2020 census.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome in our number three Clay Travis buck Sexton show.
Appreciate all of you hanging out with us. Buck is
off en route to the mountains and he'll be back
with us on Monday, and I will have the show
with you for this hour and the next couple hours.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
You can weigh in eight hundred and two two.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Two eight eight two as we will be discussing all
of the issues of the.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Day and beyond.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
We're joined now by the Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott.
He has been in the midst of a big battle,
and Governor, I appreciate you joining us.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Let's start with this.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
The redistricting that would potentially add five Republican seats has
led to Democrats fleeing your state. Most of them, it appears,
have gone to Illinois, which is among the most jerry
mandard of all states. They have fourteen Democrat seats three
Republican seats, despite the fact that President Trump got around

(01:01):
of the vote there in twenty twenty four. Of all
the places they could have run, that seems like a
really interesting choice to have made. What's the latest you
can tell us about them potentially having to come back
and do their jobs as elected legislator members.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Well, for one, you know, you just pointed out the
hypocrisy of these Democrats. It's not just a hypocrisy of
the Democrats in Texas. That's the hypocrisy of the Democrats
in Illinois as well as across the entire country who
are saying that Texas should not be doing this redistricting.
When you look at Illinois, when you look at California,
when you look at New York, when you look at Maassachusetts,
when you look at all the all the blue states,

(01:40):
that is the epitome of jerry mandering. What the Democrats
have done and what Texas is doing. We're just trying
to draw lines to allow voters to vote for the
candidate of the choice, easy example, and that in each
of these five sties that we're going to add, Trump
won those. I see the candidate of choices, Donald Trump

(02:03):
and a Republican Democrats that were a problem in Texas
because they think they had a quote ownership right to
Hispanic and Black voters. And now it turned out that
his Hispanic voters and black voters are voting Republicans, not Democrats.
So they have all kinds of problems. But where we
stand procedurally in all of this, and that is that

(02:24):
I took action yesterday in a proceeding to vacate or
remove from office the leader of this runaway renegade group
of Democrats, and followed proceeding in the Texas Supreme Court.
Texas Supreme Court immediately ordered the leader of the runaway
Democrats his name is jing Wu, to file papers in

(02:47):
the Supreme Court by Friday to respond to my allegations
because we are seeking to remove him from office and
to hold these people accountable, because we cannot conduct a
business in the Stead of Texas because they've broken a quorum,
and so for one, we're going to hold them account
vote for another, arrest warrants are out for all of them,
and we're searching across the Stead of Texas to find

(03:07):
out if they're any Democrats in the Stead of Texas,
and if there are, we're going to be arresting them.
And we will have Department of Public Safety officers working
across the country to try to identify them. And know
this because I think the Democrats who are in Illinois
and New York at center don't know this, and that
is the FBI is out looking for them also so

(03:29):
we're going to track them down and get them back.
But the last one is this. This is total futility
by the Democrats. They've tried this before multiple times since
I've been governor. And what happens is a special session
in Texas last thirty days and they eventually have to
come back, and when they come back, they'll be arrested

(03:50):
since it's the capital, and we're going to get past
what was on the agenda, just like we have every
other time.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Why do you think they're doing this.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Let's pretend that you were not the governor of Texas
trying to enact the law as you were elected to do,
and instead you were trying to just sit out there
and you're looking at this and you're saying, what is
their game plan here? You just laid out why it's
not gonna work. What do you think they are thinking
they are gaining from this?

Speaker 3 (04:21):
I don't think that they are thinking to be on.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
That's a good that's a good answer, by the way.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Uh, the reality is they're they're losing bad from this
and what we've seen it happen before. I'll tell you
what's happened in the past and why it's going to
be repeated again, and that is everyone listened to the show,
every every average Texans instead of Texas. They have to
show up for work. And if they don't show up
for us, I'm going to boycott today. I'm gonna break

(04:49):
quarm I'm not gonna go do my job. I'm gonna leave,
go to Illinois. They'd be fired. And so what these
Democrats are doing, they're angering the average Texas voter, of
the swing voter, if you would, who thinks, well, they
got to go to work, but these rogue Democrats don't
have to go to work. And then to make this

(05:09):
even more impactful against these democrats, I called a special
session which lasts thirty days, and I put eighteen items
on that session, the first of which were four items
to deal with the tragic floods that took place in
central Texas where we lost more than one hundred Texans.

(05:31):
They lost their life because of that flood. And we
need remedies such as warning systems, other strategies for our
rivers and flooding. We need laws passed that will protect
the lives of Texans in the future. And the reason
why those laws are not being passed, the reason why
the resources are not being provided to the fellow Texans

(05:54):
who need those resources. Is because Democrats are hold up
in Chicago and New York and the states across the country.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
We're talking to the Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott. One
of the things that I think is a huge part
of this story that isn't being talked about enough, and
i'd like to get your reaction to this is one
reason you can redraw congressional maps and redraw lines is
because of the surge and Hispanic support for Republicans across

(06:22):
the state of Texas. Some people out there on the
left are saying, oh, this is racist. What it actually
represents is the majority of Hispanics in Texas voted for
Donald Trump. They're now voting for you, They are voting
Republican and it has fundamentally altered the map, including in
particular down along the border in South Texas. For people

(06:44):
who may not know what has happened, what has the
data shown about Hispanic voters men in particular, but also
a lot of women flooding in to support Republicans.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
Well, all you had to do was take a look
at the map of Texas on the night of the
president into election, and so all of the counties on
the border that Donald Trump won that have been blue
for more than one hundred years, and they were read
under Donald Trump. But Clay, get this very important fact, uh,
because this just obliterates any claim of racism. Let me

(07:19):
tell you what these maps do. Four of the new
districts we are creating are predominant Hispanic districts. And it
just turns out they're Hispanic Republicans. But these are going
to be Hispanic districts. And we preserve the Barbara Jordan
district and Houston. Barbara Jordan was a well known black

(07:43):
member of Congress for a long time and and her
district had been broken apart, uh, and we're putting it
back together. We're restoring that district. And so any allegations
about race playing a role adverse to Democrats here is
nothing but just an outright line.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
Are you concerned at all? You can make the right
decision for Texas. I'm sure you've heard Gavin Newsom say, well,
if this happens, we're going to do that in California,
and Kathy Hochel in New York, the governor's there. I'm
sure you know those guys and gals.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
Well, and JB. Pritzker even said maybe.

Speaker 1 (08:17):
We'll take away some Are you concerned about other states
responding to Texas and how would you respond to governors
there making those threats.

Speaker 3 (08:26):
Well, let's walk through that. For one, those states are
so jerrymandered it's hard to pick up any more seats.
I think I saw in the map of Illinois of
all the members of Congress, there are only three Republican
seats left, and so Jerry Manner and I don't think
they could rig it any more than they have right
now in California. Understand the facts correctly, Gavin Newsam is

(08:49):
trying to place I think a constitutional amendment on the
ballot that would allow them to take action. The point
being that, unlike in Texas he as governor, he doesn't
have the unilateral authority to call for redistricting. In Texas,
we do. We don't have a commission here like they
do in California. And so bottom line is this, the

(09:10):
Democrats have hurdles that may not be able to be
cleared in order for them to be able to do
any of their own redistricting.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
What should we know?

Speaker 1 (09:20):
You mentioned that one of the reasons you're having this
special legislative session, was what happened with the flooding. What
should this audience, both in Texas and certainly outside of
Texas know about the latest there and how things are
going to be handled when it comes to that response.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
So with regard to what happened in the Kurbbill area
as well as many other areas in the state that
got ravaged by flooding and where we lost so many lives,
first in the Kurbville area, we're still missing two people.
I want everyone to know that we continue and will
continue the search for the two people who remain missing,

(10:00):
and we will be deploying new strategies to make sure
that we're using every tool possible to find everybody who
is missing. Second, after a disaster like this, uh, there
are several steps that have to be taken, and there
they're all being taken. One is to clean up the debris,
the others to begin the rebuilding process. Because of the

(10:22):
generosity of so many of our fellow Texans and Americans
there there was a lot of money available where we're
going to start working to immediately rebuild homes and get
people back with a roof over their head. It could
be rebuilding it from scratch, it could be making repairs
to it. It could be in that area, there were

(10:46):
a lot of r V homes and those are being
provided by Samaritans Perse and so we have so many
organizations like that in addition to the resources the state has.
But then in addition to that, we want to make
sure that the state is passing laws and providing resources
to make sure events like this don't happen again.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
We're talking to the Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, much
less significant, so we talked to redistricting, the battle there,
We talked obviously the flood, all of that. The Texas
Longhorns are number one in the country and open the
season on the road at Ohio State in about I
think four weeks from when we're talking right now. Are

(11:27):
the Longhorns the best team in the country.

Speaker 3 (11:31):
So I think the long Horns have the best defense
in the country, a lot of returners, and at every position,
whether we're on the line, they may have the best
two defensive ends in the country, the best linebacking corps,
the best defensive back bild. So their defense, which I
think was writing something like number third in the nation
last year, is going to be very stout very hard

(11:53):
to score upon. On offense. You know, there's a lot
of new faiths on the offensive linequarterback. Obviously, it's going
to be the big debut of Arch Manning. And because
the offensive line players they played a lot of snaps,
and because Arch himself was able to play a lot
of snaps, they have a sense of what to do.

(12:16):
That said, as you know, if you go into the
Ohio State Stadium and play a game there, that kind
of doesn't matter who you are. That's a tough game.
I will remind you of this. However, the last time
that the University of Texas Longhorns played at the Shoe
at Ohio State, they want, they defeated Ohio State led

(12:38):
by quarterback Vince Young. And we have a transformational quarterback
like that in Arch Manning this year, and I think
he's going to be able to go there leave them
to victory once again against an Ohio State team that
itself is having to go through ever rebuilding year.

Speaker 1 (12:53):
No doubt, Governor, feel free come on anytime. We're different
times of the year. Number one in Austin, number one
in Houston, highly rated all over your state. So we
appreciate everybody out there listening in the lone Star state.
Good luck to the Longhorns, and only about four weeks
till football season gets rolling.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
Take care always wake a visit with you.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
Thanks so much, Clay, appreciate that Governor of Texas, Greg Abbott.
You guys can react to that. Eight hundred and two
two two eight a two. We will continue to roll.
We'll get some of your talkbacks and some of your
calls as well. But for those of you out there,
maybe you got elderly parents, grandparents, they don't use cell phones. Well,
how about rapid radios. Maybe you got like I do,

(13:38):
a young kid. I got a ten year old out there.
You know what he loves, old school rapid radios. We
let him run around with it. We will use it
for football. I was just talking about the Texas Ohio
state game. Sometimes you go on the road for football games.
The whole cell phone networks it feels get overloaded. You
ever try to download tickets on your phone. Now you

(13:58):
know how frustrating that can be. The Wi Fi networks
get overwhelmed cell phone networks. But you know what happens. Inevitably,
there's always like one person who says, oh I got
full bars. I got no issue at all, and you
want you're trying to figure out how does that person
able to send text messages? How are they able to
make a call? What Rapid Radios does, and it's really remarkable,
is they use the entire cell phone network, so it

(14:21):
doesn't matter what you are signed up for. This is
a non tech right. So you're not using it for
text messages, you're not using it for the Internet.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
You just pick it up and you talk.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
Old school like when we were kids, we had those
Gi Joe walkie talkies. We'd be in two different cars
talking back and forth. This is like that, except way better. Nationwide,
it works everywhere. Why not use this as a backup
for your cell phones or to use in the event
of catastrophe because these things last for five days. Or

(14:51):
maybe maybe you're like me and you live in a
place where sometimes you don't get great reception on your
cell phone itself, and you want to be able to
stay in touch with your family. You can get hooked
up now. Visit rapid radios dot com, save up to
sixty percent, get free ups shipping from Michigan, and get
hooked up even more when you use Code Radio for
an extra five percent off. That's Code Radio Rapid Radios

(15:16):
dot Com Code Radio sixty percent off free ups shipping
from Michigan. Do it today Rapid Radios dot Com Code Radio.

Speaker 4 (15:24):
You know them as conservative radio hosts, now just get
to know them as guys.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
On this Sunday hang podcast with Clay and Fuck.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
Find it in their podcast feed on the iHeartRadio app
or wherever you get your podcasts. Welcome back in Clay
Travis buck Sexton Show. Appreciate all of you hanging out
with us. Producer Ali just shared with me we are
sitting at ninety nine thousand, seven hundred and fifty current
subscribers on YouTube, so go knock us over one hundred thousand,

(15:59):
and we have added right at nearly twenty four twenty
three thousand subscribers in the last couple of weeks since
I've been telling you guys to please go subscribe. I
am optimistic that come January you will be able to
get all three hours of the radio program on video

(16:19):
at YouTube. So again, that is not up now right now,
is just clips. But as we have been doing the
deep dive on the data, it's wild to me. I
never would have believed this is true, but more people
watch and listen now to podcasts on YouTube than actually
listen to audio only. This is one of those things

(16:41):
I never would have gotten right. It's hard to predict
where media is going. If you had told me five
years ago, hey, podcasts are going to be big, I
would have said, yeah, that makes sense. People are traveling,
They've got their phones. They want to be able to
get shows all over the place, no matter where they are. Yeah,
I get that. That makes sense. We should be available
on podcasts because this show so used to with Rush
not be available by and large on podcasts. So we

(17:04):
have built that over the last five years, four years
and change, Buck and I have I would have never
believed that audio show video would be more popular than
audio in podcasts, but that's where we are. So we
want to have a big base. Knock us over one
hundred thousand.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
Right now.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
You can get select clips from the show right now,
but starting in January, I am optimistic that you're going
to be able to watch all three hours of the
show as I'm waving at you right now on video
on the video version of the program. And this is
going to be a big growth area for the show
as well. So we appreciate all of you for being

(17:43):
good supporters of the program, and we want to be
on all places because different ages consume media different ways.
We want to be on podcast, video, and we want
certainly all five hundred and fifty five stations to be listening.
We'll do some talkbacks, I'll take some of your calls
when we come back, But in the meantime, I want
to tell you get hooked up right now with Chalk.

Speaker 2 (18:00):

Travis and Buck Sexton on the front lines of the Truth.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
Buck is off for the next couple of days. He
is on the road, headed for the mountains. He'll be
back with me on Monday. I've got you guys Thursday
and Friday. A lot of people want to weigh in
for a variety of a different commentary of what we
have been discussing so far. And thank you for sending us,

(19:19):
by the way over one hundred thousand instantly as soon
as I ask for that. Would like for you guys
to continue to sign up. But Rob from West Palm
says KK has got a concern about the show being
available for three hours on radio every day.

Speaker 2 (19:36):
Let's listen.

Speaker 5 (19:36):
Are you sure you guys want to put all three
hours of your show on YouTube so that everyone can
actually see you guys, especially with your homeless beard and
you're so snazzy jackets. I don't know, man, you might
want to think that.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
Over look I appreciate that. I always love to hear
positive feedback about my appearance. I so, first of all,
I'll be doing the show in T shirts most days.
Just prepare for that. You can already see it on
the YouTube channel. But I will say when I did
sports talk radio, I did not want to be on

(20:14):
early in the morning because I think you should join
judge us for what we say, not for how we
look while what we while we are speaking right, television
is primarily a cosmetic thing. Most people put on makeup.
I don't, Buck doesn't, but you have entire makeup apparatus.
It's like a you know, sort of stylized play in

(20:35):
many ways here, I love the radio, but yeah, I
was not that excited about being on radio early in
the morning because I don't take a shower. I was
on live at five am Central for three hours solo,
and I wasn't that excited. I mean, I'm, you know,
getting three or four hours of sleep. I'm sure that
I looked ridiculous and my hair's not comb very well.

Speaker 2 (20:59):
So I wasn't that.

Speaker 1 (20:59):
Excited about being able to get hooked up on that.
So this one, again, I'm not claiming that you're going
to be blown away by physical appearance, but you will
be able to watch it. And I just think it's
important to be available everywhere because there's so many different
ways now that people are consuming products on a day

(21:22):
to day basis, and I think I think all that
factors in. By the way, let's hit some more of
these talkbacks. I love the talkback function. Brian and Wooster
Mass has this to say.

Speaker 6 (21:33):
He's dd just on the subject of the Democrats and
just the party of bitterness and hating beauty. We used
to read about this stuff in school. I mean Kurt
Vonnegut story, Harrison Berger on you know George Orwell nineteen
eighty four, you know, repeat the lie two plus two
eegals five. We used to be have to We used
to be forced to read these books in high school
as like cautionary tales. And now it's like, this is

(21:57):
the democrat world, the liberal world, and you know, nobody
understands it.

Speaker 1 (22:03):
I think the challenge that we're in is it's very
I mean, what did Mark Twain say a lie? Can
somebody look up? You can get halfway around the world
before you even put your pants on. And that's a
paraphrase of a famous Mark twain line. I think it's
never been more true. And I would argue that it's
not even just lies. It is selective contextualization. And let

(22:26):
me explain what I mean by that and why I
think this ties in with video and long form listenership
and things like that. I think people are willing to
consider context. I think, in fact, most people crave context
because in your own life, if you only took one
sentence out of a conversation, or in your own life,
if you only took one text message out of a

(22:47):
context thread, how much would it change the way that
you understood it? And I always say, and I'm very
very aggressive and arguing this even with our own social team,
and they've heard me say it over and over again.
Include the question. When we put up an answer, always
include the question, because what we ask impacts the way

(23:09):
that the answer is given, and when you just pull
a random answer out, it doesn't contextualize anything. And so
I think one reason why long form has grown in popularity. Heck,
why a lot of you listen to all three hours
on podcast and why people watch it on video is
they want the full context of conversation. There's a desperate

(23:31):
craving for actual complexity, and it often is not served
in the SoundBite era in which we live. And so
I think that I think that factors in here in
a huge wave, a lot of you weighing in. By
the way, yesterday we were saying, hey, we try to
be honest with you guys. We're not going to get
everything right. In fact, sometimes we get things wrong. And

(23:53):
I said, if I were pointing to something that I
said I thought would happen, that I was completely wrong on.
I thought we would get a twenty twenty two red wave.
Those of you who were listening a couple of years ago,
you remember me predicting it. We did it now. We
got it in New York, we got it in Florida.
We didn't get it nationwide. We got it enough to
flip the House back to Republican control in twenty two,

(24:16):
but we did not get it enough to also have
flipped the Senate. And there were a lot of close
governor races and Senate races that did not go the
direction that we had hoped they might. This is let's
see a podcast listener, Robin from Texas c see here's
our talkback listen.

Speaker 7 (24:32):
Hey clan Buck, Robin from Texas. Here. I keep hearing
you guys be down on yourself for the big miss
on the supposed red wave in twenty two, and I'm
going to give you some grace here. There was a
lot of redistricting after the twenty census, and it affected
the twenty two election in ways that you both couldn't
have foreseen, which caused all this gerymandering that went on.

(24:53):
I think you guys do a great job, and I
love this show so so much.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
Well that's super nice, but I do think it's important
we get things wrong to come on and say've always
screwed that up. And I do believe that what you
hit on though, is very important. And I talked about
this a little bit. We were talking with the Governor
of Texas, Greg Abbott at the top of this hour,
and all of a sudden, Democrats have decided they don't
like redistricting. That's because they've redistricted all their states already.

(25:22):
They did it earlier after the twenty twenty census, which
actually had a lot of errors in it. And if
you read the New York Times, which I do, so
you don't have to, they actually did a deep dive
on this and they said, hey, things are actually slanted
in favor of Democrats right now. In twenty two and
twenty four, both of which were Republican House majorities, but

(25:47):
very small Republican House majorities, the nationwide vote totals were
not reflected in the House. Democrats did better because they
jerrymandered more effectively than Republicans did. And you say, okay,
what do you mean by that? Data wise, Clay, Nationwide,
if you just count all of the different House seats,

(26:10):
they're four hundred and thirty five of them, and you
put all those votes in, Republicans won each of the
last two election cycles by around two plus points nationwide.
If that were extrapolated into the four hundred and thirty
five representatives, Republicans would have had bigger majorities in twenty

(26:31):
two and twenty four than Republicans actually ended up with.
So Democrats have more effectively jerrymandered than Republicans have, such
that the actual nationwide popular vote, which is reflected in
some way in the House, has actually over advantaged Democrats
compared to Republicans. And that doesn't even consider the biggest

(26:52):
overadvantage of Democrats, which as.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
They county legal immigrants for purposes.

Speaker 1 (26:57):
Of House seating and the census, which benefits Democrats in
a substantial way. So they're getting angry now that Texas
is doing what Illinois has already done, and what New
York has already done, and what California has already done.
I even saw the Democrat governor of Massachusetts, Healey I

(27:19):
believe is her name. She said, well, if Texas is
going to do this, we're going to have to jerrymander more.
And every seat is already jerrymandered so that there are
no Republican congressmen or women from Massachusetts. So there's a
lot of these governors that are claiming to be upset.
Jmi Pritzker is a good example. Democrats already have a

(27:41):
fourteen to three advantage in his state. It's one of
the most jerrymandered states in the entire nation, California. Gavin
Newsom's crew has already drastically jerrymandered the state of California
such that the percentage of Republican vote is actually lower now.
To be fair, this also happens in red states in general.

(28:04):
If you control a state, you are setting it up
so that you end up with more congressmen women then
would otherwise occur my home state of Tennessee. They are
nine congressional seats, eight of them are held by Republicans.
Trump won the state of Tennessee something like thirty points
wasn't remotely close, but there are still in the state

(28:24):
of Tennessee around thirty five percent of people that vote Democrat.
They're actually underrepresented in the state of Tennessee because the
state is.

Speaker 2 (28:33):
So overwhelmingly read.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
My point on this is Democrats have actually been better,
according to The New York Times, at gerrymandering than Republicans have.
And what they're upset about is twenty twenty six is
expected to be a very close race in the House again,
and it may come down to two or three seats,
as it has the past few years. So if Texas
ads five, that puts the finger and the scale a

(28:58):
little bit more into favor of the Republican Party. They
really need to go back and look at counting illegal
immigrants in for purposes of congressional seats. And they also
really need to go back and address a larger issue
at play here, which is they totally screwed up the
twenty twenty census and as a result, Democrats ended up

(29:20):
with more congressional seats in their states via the electoral
College map than they otherwise should have. And it's like
nobody is even willing to talk about that or have
a deep discussion about it. Okay, I'll take some of
your calls and we will read more emails, more talkbacks.
I appreciate all of you when we return. In the meantime,
I trust my kids to be able to be in

(29:41):
touch with them because we have Pure Talk phones for
both of them. Seventeen year old, they're about to go
back to school. He has got all sorts of extracurricular activities.
Fourteen year old. It's football season. He's playing football now,
practice different times, scrimmages, different times, locations for games, all
over the place. If you're like me and you've got
kids and you were running all over the place. The

(30:03):
ten year old plays soccer and flag football. My boys
have more extracurricular activities than we ever did when I
was a kid. They're everywhere. I trust Pure Talk to
stay in touch with my seventeen and my fourteen year old,
and it saves me a bundle in the process. You

Welcome back in Clay, Travis, Buck Sexton Show. Appreciate all
of you hanging out with us.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
I don't know have you.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
Heard me last night with our good friend Sean Hannity,
who will be on in many of these stations in
about ten minutes. Yet last night he had a brilliant
idea and I give him credit for this. He said
on the show. Hey, I don't understand why bud Light
wouldn't just sign Sidney Sweeney, and I just I mean,

(31:42):
it is brilliant. I think overnight, bud Light could reverse
the anti mail universe that they created when they put
in place the Dylan mulvany trans influencer ad. If they
just put Sidney Sweeney in a tank top and gave
her a bottle of beer to hold and said, hey,
you know what I loved when beer companies had pretty

(32:04):
girls and everybody wanted to watch football and kick their
feet up and enjoy a beer. I think overnight the
brand would change. I'm not kidding. I mean, I think
one of the negatives is you can destroy your brand overnight.
I think one of the positives is if you just
have a little bit of success, you can immediately flip

(32:26):
everything in a good direction. We got a bunch of things.
Keep me updated on the emails, guys, Lorenzo wrote in
loved the show. Will Clay ever try to get Dodger
Dogs as a sponsor again?

Speaker 8 (32:37):
Look?

Speaker 2 (32:38):
I love la It is a fabulous city.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
Maybe the most overrated thing in all of Los Angeles
is a Dodger dog. It's a hot dog, and it's
not even a very good hot dog. And back when
I did my sports talk show, they played in April
Fool's prank on me where they said that we now
had a huge new sponsor and it was Dodger Dogs.
And I had to pretend that I love Dodger dogs

(33:03):
because they were spending millions of dollars on the show.
And so I was like, uh, well, you know, I
previously said they were awful, but uh, I'm kind of
in a tough spot of here, guys, So they April
fools me into believing that Dodger Dogs was now the
presenting sponsor of my sports talk radio show. That was
a tough one because, let me tell you, Dodger dogs
are awful and not even as good as normal hot dogs.

(33:25):
I apologize to Dodger fans out there. Jeff in Greenville,
North Carolina. What you got for chef?

Speaker 3 (33:32):
Yes, sir, Hey, how's it going?

Speaker 5 (33:34):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (33:35):
First time caller, longtime listener, You guys do a fantastic job.

Speaker 2 (33:40):
I do, miss Rush, though we all do.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
Is there a possible way that if they do go
forward with AI, that they somehow can water market so
that you know, Uh.

Speaker 2 (33:56):
Thanks for the call. I don't know exactly what he's
talking about.

Speaker 4 (34:00):
It.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
I mean, AI is going to be super confusing because
what they can already do, and we have a lot
of fun with this, is they can make me look
like I'm playing flutes. If you're on social media, they
can make me look like I'm swimming from Alcatraz. You
guys are really really funny about it. But videos are
starting to take over. And I'm being honest about this.
I think within a year, certainly by the twenty twenty

(34:22):
eight presidential election, they will have any candidate running for
any office saying the most awful things imaginable in an
effort to try to go viral and destroy the legitimacy
of a candidacy. I'm just telling you it's all coming
so I don't know how you fix that. By the way,
a couple of different talkbacks Yolanda, I understand, Miami Beach.

(34:44):
She's going after Joe Wanda yesterday. Cut aa.

Speaker 3 (34:48):
Hi guys, I love your show.

Speaker 6 (34:50):
This is Yolanda from Miami Beach, and.

Speaker 8 (34:54):
My name is spelled with a J, but pronounce Yolanda
because that's the way with Italy.

Speaker 1 (35:01):
I totally get that. The woman in Texas who compared
the Holocaust to Texas trying to redistrict. Her name is
jo La and Da, and it is pronounced it is
pronounced Joe Londa most of the time like you. It's

(35:22):
just a different pronunciation for Yolanda. I don't claim to
understand it. Craig in North Carolina, what you got, Craig play?

Speaker 8 (35:30):
Craig in North Carolina. Your most recent OutKick was off
the charts.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
Good.

Speaker 8 (35:35):
We really need to get behind the Free Delbert movement?
Can you produce t shirts that's say free Delbert Carver.
Proceeds can be donated to the Delbert Carver Defense Fund.
God bless yell.

Speaker 1 (35:48):
Delbert Carver was arrested in Atlanta. You know, they haven't
managed to arrest the dobbs leaker. They haven't managed to
arrest anybody for the so called pipe bomb or whatever
it was on Jen's We haven't arrested anybody for Russia
collusion on the left side. Nobody has paid really for
the lineup against Trump. But they arrested a guy for

(36:10):
throwing a sex toy, a green sex toy on the
court during a WNBA game. There now have been three
of these. If you have no idea what I'm talking about,
you can look it up. It is a prank that
is currently being played out, and the guy who was
arrested was named Delbert Carver, and I have pledged to
get him the best legal defense team on the planet.

(36:32):
We got a free Delbert. I appreciate all you. We'll
have some fun Thursday Friday. On the program, Buck is
headed to the mountains with his family to get away
a little bit at the summer break. I appreciate all
of you. Thanks for sending us over one hundred thousand
on the YouTube channel.

Speaker 2 (36:48):
Keep subscribing. See you all tomorrow.
