Speaker 1 (00:14):
What's up, guys, how are you happy? Friday Morning?

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Welcome in to another episode of the Daily Juice podcast
with me Matt Perrault at Sports Talk Matt to follow
me across all of my socials and this is a
Friday morning taping of the Friday Morning Podcast.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Now you might go, well, Matt, don't you always do that?

Speaker 2 (00:30):
No, See, normally I'm on the West Coast, and being
on the West Coast, it means I tape somewhere around
like eleven pm Pacific, which is two a m.

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Eastern time.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
But since as you guys are watching on YouTube, you're
seeing the sling that my arm is currently in, We're
gonna try something different here. For I go back to
Vegas in one week Saturday or eight days, I go
back to Vegas. So in an effort to try to
keep the rhythm a bit more can asistant and I
get it. For you guys on the East Coast, if

(01:03):
you go to work at five am, you're gonna go
wait a minute, I listen to the podcast.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
This is gonna get me out of my rhythm. This
is weird.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Yeah, sorry, But for the rest of you who are
Central time, Mountain time, Pacific time, you probably won't even
notice a difference when we tape somewhere around seven o'clock
Eastern time.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
In the morning.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
We're going to try it for a week, but when
I go back to Vegas, it won't matter because I
tape at again like eleven o'clock Pacific time, which then
puts us into the Eastern time zone. And so we're
not doubling up, meaning I'm not posting a Friday podcast
on Thursday. And that's been somewhat of a problem from
an algorithm standpoint, that's been somewhat of a problem. So

(01:45):
that's your explanation as to what we are doing and
why we are doing it. If you don't like it,
I'm sorry. You have eight days to deal with it,
and then it goes away.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Okay. It's just one of.

Speaker 2 (01:57):
Those deals with how the world works in the algorithm
driven space that we operate in. This is just an
example of having to change up a bit to accommodate
the world we currently live in. So that is why
this podcast is coming out on Friday morning for Friday's games.

(02:19):
Now tomorrow we will do the Discord channel chat that
is back. Okay, it is going to be at eleven
am Eastern time. The podcast is going to drop tomorrow
morning at around seven thirty Eastern time. Okay, So podcasts

(02:41):
will drop, then the Discord channel chat. That also will
be different next week when I go back home, but
for now, that's how it's going to go. Sunday, we
have the live stream. I am back to be able
to do that, that is at noon Eastern time. So
the podcast on Sunday will drop Sunday morning, and then
we'll do the live stream coming up at noon Eastern.

(03:04):
So understand how this is going to go. From a
rhythm and a routine standpoint, just prepare yourself. It may
be a little bit different for the next couple of days.
You're gonna get a podcast and for like, for instance,
the football bet we're gonna talk about here in a second,
it's late night, so East Coast late night. You got
plenty of time to watch the podcast, and these games

(03:27):
go off so late. Just find ten minutes in your
day to be able to watch the podcast. Like, okay,
so you don't have it in the morning with your
coffee for a week, okay, but you're gonna get it
at some point during the day. Have it be a
driving home podcast. Now on the East coast because the
games are all at night, most of them at least
or at night. So that's how it's going to roll

(03:49):
here for the weekend. Just fyi. That's how things are
going to go now. Yesterday we didn't do much. Thursday,
we loaded up on its Wednesday, we load up on
Thursday and so are so good. We did not get
the JCM anytime touchdown that did not come in. However,
Jordan Love goes over one and a half touchdown tosses.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
We get that.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
The under teased up came in Dallas with the pick.
We'll wait for that on Sunday, but I feel very
good about that bet cashing. The Packers easily cover the
three and the and the over for NC State in
wake Forest that comes in as well. So a three
and one day up two units, another winning day, another
winning week.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
We're rolling here into a Friday.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Before I give you the bets to baseball one college
football here on Friday, LEDs remind you about what's going
on with the Tua sorry, the Tyreek Hill catching ball
from Tua the Tyreek Hill jersey if you want to
win this and again, depending on what happens, is weekend

(04:48):
worth something someday because this might be a collector's at
them because they may ship everybody out if they open up.
And Two, because they've got the bills coming up, they'll
be owen. Three Tyreek Hill signed jersey our friends at
Pristine Auction dot com. Subscribe to this very YouTube channel

the schedule, I don't care. Comment in you could be

(05:10):

for the.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Signed Tyreek Hill jersey.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Now, if you haven't gone into that hard Rock Bet yet,
it's not that bad to do, so to go and

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Tennessee and for Viginia.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Okay, let's talk tonight late night one college football game.
I don't know what to do with Colorado. I'm probably
gonna bet the Colorado game in game. I don't know
what to make a Deon Sanders team against Houston coming
up here tonight on the road. I think Colorado is
desperate enough to get a W. But it's one of
those games where, like it's a hard place to play.
Houston on a Friday night is going to be rocking.

(07:06):
I don't love Colorado this year. I don't love Houston
this year. So it's sort of like a I want
to wait and see. I want to watch that game
a little bit. And then the UCLA game. Yeah, I
just I don't know what to make of Ucla at all.
You know, they're hosting New Mexico to I want to
lay fourteen and a half points on a team that

(07:26):
just lost to UNLV No, I really don't, so it's
hard to find angles. I'm not betting Colgate and Syracuse
and Indiana against Indiana State is a game that you know,
the line's forty eight and a half, no, thank you.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
So there's really only one game in college.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
Football tonight that I think is worth looking at and
worth betting, and that is Kansas State on the road
against Arizona. Now, look, this is not last year's Arizona.
There is no Teed McMillan on this team. So I'll
give anyone that wants to come back and say, well,
wait a minute, no, this is a different type of
Arizona team. This is not last year. But they do
have a veteran quarterback. They are two and zero and

(08:01):
they are playing at home. Kansas State has been traveling
all over the world. Literally, they went to Ireland and
looked like crap against Iowa States. They just lost to
Army last week. This feels a lot like Chris Cleman's
team spent the summer reading press clippings about how good
they were going to be and why Case State was

(08:24):
gonna win the Big Twelve and why kse State was
a sleeper to get to the college football Playoff and
why Avery Johnson was going to be a Heisman Trophy candidate.
Because they have played just lacks a daisical football and
they have been sloppy, and they just haven't looked good.
And I don't know how in the world you're comfortable
laying points on the road with Kansas State right now,

(08:47):
Like I don't know what at what point other than
like your back is against the wall, there's a gun
to your head, and so you're like, Okay, k State's
gonna finally put it all together. In case State's gonna
wind up beating Arizona on the road, I don't see it,
and I don't think it's going to happen. I mean,
the number is one and a half. Some books have

(09:08):
already gone to pick so the money is clearly coming
in here on.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
Arizona.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
And I love looking at like different predictions from writers
just because they get their finger on the pulse. Even
Kansas State writers are taking Arizona to win this game
here tonight, like they don't even believe in what's going
on here. And look, I get it, Avery Johnson may
have a really big game and he could completely take over.

(09:37):
But I get points, and I get to fade a
Case State team that I'm not so sure that they're motivated.
There may be something going on with that team. Maybe
Avery Johnson has been a pain in the neck and
about being a Heisman Trophy candidate. This is a conference
game for Arizona. It's a home game, it's a Friday
night game, so another road trip to go on the road.

(10:00):
They just lost Army at home. I don't know how
you go, all right, this team in Kansas State loses
twenty four to twenty one to a lackluster Army team
at home, and then they go on the road and
you go like, oh, well, they were overlooking it. They
beat North Dakota thirty eight thirty five. That's their only
win on the year over North Dakota. And it wasn't

(10:20):
like a easy win over North Dakota. They lost to
Iowa State. They barely beat North Dakota. They lost to Army. Sorry,
I'm not laying points with Kansas State. Something's wrong with
Chris Chris Climbent's team. I'm taking Arizona. Give me the points.
Arizona plus one and a half at home tonight, late
night on the West coast, up against Kansas State. I'll

(10:43):
take the Wildcats Arizona plus one and a half for
one unit. Now to baseball, we go two bets on
a Friday night. The Brewers are at home, and our
favorite starting pitcher of twenty twenty five is on the
mound for the Milwaukee Brewers. That would be Quinn Priester.
If you've not been riding us with Quinn Priester, boy,

(11:05):
have you been missing out Quinn Priester. The Brewers have
won every single game started by Quinn Priester going all
the way back, and I mean all the way back
to the twenty fourth of May.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
The twenty fourth of.

Speaker 2 (11:20):
May, Quinn Priest last time out against the Pirates on
the road, seven innings to earn runs. In the month
of August, Quinn Priester had an ERA of three point
three three twenty seven innings worth of work, ten earned
runs given up, five games started, all five games won
by the Milwaukee Brewers.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
Three of those five.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
Games were one on the run line. The books are
getting wise and they're starting to make it expensive because
the number is about one eighty five to one ninety
for Quinn Priest today, because he'd go up against Andre Polente,
who has lost other than the game that the Cardinals won.
In his last start on the sixth of September against

(12:05):
the Giants, he went six innings two earned runs. Other
than that, the team lost every single game started by
Polente in the month of August, six starts and six losses.
Every one of those games except for one, was lost
on the run line. So yes, we have a little
bit of an anomaly there with the with the Giants victory,

(12:26):
but seven four eight, three six, two, four to three, nine, one,
seven to three in the month of August on the
road four point nine to one era a two in
seven record, opposing batting average of two seventy one forty
two earned runs and seventy seven innings worth of work.

Speaker 1 (12:44):
Look I like the Cardinals.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
And the Cardinals are going to get over on the
seventy five and a half wins for us at some
point in the next week or so. This team has
seventy two wins. We just need them to win four
more baseball games here. And it's the middle of September,
so at some point we're gonna get w's here. It
is not an easy schedule for the Cardinals, however, but
they have three games coming up against Cincinnati. They have

(13:07):
three games on the road against San Francisco, and three
games at the Cubs. So at some point here we
need to find four wins of the next three, six, nine, twelve,
fifteen games. So just go four and eleven. If we
were four and eleven. We're good. We've already cashed the
Rockies under that's good. The Cardinals come in, that's good.

(13:31):
The Rangers are the other bet that we are going
to be sweating out and watching here and to see
if they can get to eighty six wins. I really
don't think so. I've had that in the lost column
for a while. But they're seventy seven and seventy and
they just swept the Brewers, So like I'm beginning to go, hmmm,
I don't know, maybe the Rangers can get there. The

(13:53):
Rangers schedule is not incredibly easy, but they do end
the year they go They're at the Mets starting tonight,
then they're at the Astros. Both those teams are battling
now Miami at home, at home for the Twins, and
at Cleveland. To end the year for the Texas Rangers.

(14:14):
We need Texas to find their way to nine more wins?
Can they get nine more wins? They have three, six, nine, twelve, fifteen.
Can they go nine and six? If the Rangers can
go nine and six down the stretch here, we can
get ourselves into we can win all three of our

(14:35):
future bets. From a win perspective, in Major League Baseball.
I would love to go three now, that would be
tremendous to jump in on that. So that's what we're
watching in Major League Baseball. But for tonight, we're gonna
come in here and we're gonna bet run line Brewers
run line with priestter. It's too expensive to bet money line, unfortunately,
so we got to go and roll the dice here
a little bit. But like I said, he was very
good in August on the run line and Polenti was not.

(14:57):
We're going plus one fifteen. That should be one, sorry,
not one point five. That's one unit. Brewers run line
for one unit here tonight, up against the Saint Louis Cardinals.
Third and final bet, we go to Toronto, where Trevor
Rodgers and the Orioles will be battling with the Blue Jays.
Trevor Rodgers on the road this year has a one

(15:18):
point eight one ERA, a five to one record, a
two to oh one opposing batting average, just eleven earned
runs given up in fifty four and two thirds innings
worth of work. Trevor Rodgers has been by far the
best pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles. The twenty seven year
old LEFTI has been great now. Blue Jay's hit lefties.
So there's a little bit of worry here because Blue
Jays aren't home and the Blue Jays hit lefties. Blue

(15:38):
Jay's won six nothing last night. Offense is still very
much alive.

Speaker 1 (15:42):
However.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
The last time the Orioles lost a game started by
Trevor Rodgers was the first of August. We have seen
six consecutive games one by the Orioles in games started
by Trevor Rodgers five to one, four three, sixty three three, two,
eleven to one, and four to three. The total for
this game is what I'm looking at. The total is
eight Trevor Rodgers. Normally it's a four to three, four three, two,

(16:08):
five to one type baseball game. When Trevor Rodgers starts equally,
it's good news because Chris Bassett is starting for the
Toronto Blue Jays. Chris Bassett at home this year has
a two point seven to six ERA. He's eight to
zher record wise at home this year, with an opposing
batting average of two forty one twenty seven earned in
eighty eight innings worth of work. Now, the team is

(16:31):
on a complete ice cold stretch involving Chris Bassett. Okay,
Chris Bassett. The team has lost four consecutive games and
seven of eight started by Chris Bassett. He's eleven and eight,
worth a three point nine to seven ERA. While I
lean towards the Orioles to win this game here today,
I think Bassett to pitch well and maybe losing the

(16:54):
game three to one, three to two, two to one,
somewhere in that range. I think that's the better play here.
Take a look at the total, so I do lean
towards the Orioles. I do think if you want to
avoid a total bet, I think you can jump in
and you can take the Orioles.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
But it's the Orioles.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
The Blue Jays this year have a record of well
Baltimore six and four against Toronto, but the blue Jays
at home are forty seven and twenty five. The Orioles
on the road are thirty three and thirty nine. So
you're going again to a trend there, and the blue
Jays need it the Orioles, don't. The Orioles money line
price plus one fifteen plus one twenty not horrible. I

(17:33):
just think the under eight is a better way of
looking at this. Giving the starting pitching giving it, it's
Rogers giving it, it's Bassett giving that. It's an important
game here for the Blue Jays. I just don't think
we see a ton of offense here. We're going to
jump in on the under eight at mice one fifteen
for Toronto and Baltimore. All right, Arizona football plus one
and a half at home against k State, Brewers run

(17:56):
line laying one and a half runs at plus one
fifteen against the Cardinals, and Toronto and Baltimore the under
eight at minus one point fifteen coming up here for
a Friday. It's been a good week. Let's keep it rolling,
min It's Matt Parolti. You guys are following me across
