Speaker 1 (00:15):
What's up, guys, Happy Black Friday. Welcome into another episode
of the Daily Juice podcast with me Matt Perult. You
guys can follow me across all of my socials at
Sports Talk Matt, and we are back after unfortunately a
losing Thanksgiving because of the last game of the day.
So Joe Burrow and the Bengals, they have been sort
of a bugaboo of mine for a while, and it's

(00:35):
amazing the way Zach Taylor is as a head coach
with Joe Burrow and without Joe Burrow, because Burrow is phenomenal.
And the Ravens went back to being the Ravens that
we saw to start the year. The Chiefs went back
to being the Chiefs, the chief team that we start
we saw to start the year, because the Lions get
beat by the Packers, but we had the teasers that

(00:57):
covered it. Josh Jacobs went over, the Cowboys did what
I thought they were going to do. The Chiefs that covered,
but zam Worthy got us there as well. Then the
Ravens lose the game outright, Joe Burrow throws the ball
one hundred times and the Ravens lose the game. We
go down zero to three, on the game on the
night game, after going two to zero in the Cowboy game,

(01:20):
going one in one on the Lions game, and that
caused us to go down three have a three and
four day, down one point seven to eight units on
the day. So that was a frustration with Joe Burrow
and Zach Taylor, and Zach Taylor with Joe Burrow is
just a different coach. I mean, Joe Burrow came back
and looked tremendous. That Ravens defense went back to being
the Ravens defense we saw to start the year. And

(01:43):
now it's going to be fascinating to see how this
all plays out. The Chiefs are probably going to miss
the playoffs, which is incredible, but then we've got a
Ravens team that has to prove itself, at least to me,
and even if they do get to the playoffs, I
don't think you'd be too afraid of that defense, Like
they just can't stop anybody.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
And so you got that game.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
But the Patriots to play the Ravens coming up here
in a couple of weeks, that's going to be a
very interesting matchup to watch. And I just think from
an X and OH standpoint, this is one of the
worst coach teams for the Ravens I've seen in a while,
Like they just make really bad mistakes and they blow
coverages like crazy. There were no t Higgins out there.
That was just Tamar Chase doing that and tight ends

(02:25):
just killing that secondary for the Ravens. Big game for
Joe Burrow obviously to come back. And now at four
and eight, are they going to make the playoffs? No?
But can they make life difficult for everybody they play? Yes,
in particular the teams they'll face in their own division
down the stretch. So give Joe Burrow credit. No need
to play him, no need to bring him back, but

(02:45):
he wanted to play with his guys, and he played
and played play really well last night. A huge win
for the Bengals, bad loss for the Ravens. Same thing
for the Chiefs, bad loss for them as they head
off now with a five and six record, trying to
figure out what comes next for the Chiefs, so our
six and six records, sorry, not five and six, six
and six record for Kansas City, so five six and

(03:08):
or or six five and one for the Cowboys who
are still trying to find their way in. That was
a must win game. They had to get it. Now
they play the Lions coming up. Let's see what they
do there. You know, if they can run the table,
they have a good shot of getting in. But they're
going to have to find a way to run the
table at least, you know, suffer one more loss for
the Cowboys. So good stuff in the NFL coming down

(03:28):
the stretch. Now we have a Black Friday game today,
We've got a bunch of college games. I've got two
college plays and I've got one NFL play. I like
the NFL play, I don't love the NFL. The college
slate for today the better games of tomorrow for college football.
So today I'm not going to go too crazy. We're
going to kind of limp our way only with three
plays coming up here for today. But a reminder that

(03:50):
we're headed towards the end of this month, and since
we are at the end of the month, we're going
to be giving away the bow Nix signed mini helmet
to someone who wants to win this. You must be
a subscriber to the Betting Pros YouTube channel and you
must comment on this video. If you do those two things,
you are entered in to win the autographed Bogue Nick's

(04:11):
Broncos mini helmet. Thanks to our friends at Pristine Auction
dot com, we are less than a week away from
giving away that signed mini helmet. So if you want it,
get involved Eagles and the Bears today. There isn't much
of a handicap to this. So here's the thing that
I've got with the Bears. And I don't mean to
insel Bears fans. I just don't buy your football team.

(04:34):
And I think the Eagles coming off of a loss
in which they blew a twenty one dozering lead to
the Cowboys, they're at home, they're laying seven, and the Bears,
I think you're going to have a tough time moving
the football today up against this defense for the Eagles. Now,
obviously there are some injury concerns to look at from
a secondary perspective for the Eagles that you have to

(04:56):
keep an eye on. Okay, but it looks like you
know that there's going to be some questions. It looks
like Reid Blankenship is probably not going to play here
for the Eagles defense. We know that Lane Johnson is out,
but I think the rest of the team, the rest

(05:16):
of the defensive players that were somewhat questionable for the
Eagles should be in the game today, and I think
that that's big. But I think the running attack finally
finds its way here. I think we see Jalen Hurts
running the football a lot, and the Bears just haven't
played a very difficult schedule. And look, you could say
you're playing the numbers, Matt, and you're just talking about
where they are. But I just think when you look

(05:37):
at the Bears defense, their DVOA is awful. They're allowing
a ton of points per game, they're allowing a ton
of yards per game. They haven't played anybody. They've also
had an incredible turnover luck here against an Eagles team
that generally all.

Speaker 2 (05:52):
The last week it did turn the football over.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
To the Cowboys generally does not turn the football over.
So I think this is a come back to Earth
game here for Chicago. I think this is kind of
like a remember who you are, Like you're a little
ahead of schedule and you're on the road, and you're
in primetime, and it's Nick Sirianni, it's Jalen Hurts. These
are primetime spots. We're generally speaking, the Eagles have done

(06:16):
really well and have somewhat been dominant in these situations.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
I would be very surprised.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
You know, obviously we're going to lay seven points here,
which can be kind of a big number, and I
get it, it's not great to lay this, but you know,
Jalen Hurts at home in Philadelphia is thirty and four
straight up as a favorite. So like, if we're starting
with okay, they're gonna win. The question is how do
they win after they blew a game in which they

(06:46):
were up twenty one or more points. The Eagles had
won ninety one consecutive games before that loss last night
so or last week, so you.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Know they're going to be furious. You know they're going
to be really mad.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
And Nick Siriani has just been, you know, a guy
that can motivate his team and get his team focused.
I just think this is a an Eagles team that
defensively rises up. I think is an Eagles seem to
keep this Bears team as long as the Eagles don't
turn the football over, which has been the number one
key cog here is it. Turnovers have been gigantic for

(07:21):
the Bears. As long as the Eagles don't turn the
football over, I like the Eagles. I'm gonna lay the
seven points here with the Eagles Eagles minus seven for
one point one units. If you guys don't know yet,

with Utah at Kansas. Now. Utah is a team that

(08:24):
I liked last week if you were on the live
chat on Discord channel, which by the way, there won't
be a live chat this week, but if you like
if generally the live chat is going on, well, I
think there's going to be some similar handicaps here. Utah
is a tremendous team against the spread that they've been

(08:47):
just straight up dominant against the spread. They've also been
really good from an over situation. They're eight and three
to the over, they're three and two to the over
on the road, and offensively, the last three weeks as
four weeks for Utah, they've scored fifty one, fifty five,
forty five, and fifty three thanks to the most dominant
running attack in college football. Kansas can't stop the run. Okay,

(09:12):
Kansas is one of the worst rush defenses in the
country and it's a big, big mismatch here. In terms
of rushing, Utah averages six point two yards per rush
and Kansas gives up four point nine yards per rush.
Utah is running for two hundred and eighty yards a
game on the ground. Ku is giving up one hundred

(09:33):
and eighty six yards on the ground. Defensively, that is
not good and I'm not in love with the ku offense.
Even though I do think they'll open it up here
on Senior Day, I do think they're gonna throw as
much as they possibly can throw, and Utah can give
up some points at times. Last week, Utah gave up
a lot more points than I thought they were going
to to Kansas State. In fact, I thought they were

(09:55):
going to lose that game to Kansas State and they were. Now,
if you look at it from offensive standpoint and what
you expect out of a Utah team, you don't expect
them to give up forty seven points to Kansas State
at home, which is what they did. So rather than
get involved here with the over in the game, because
maybe Utah's defense rises up. Iowa State only gave up

(10:18):
only allowed fourteen points for Kansas last week on the road,
So if you have another performance like that, ioways says
defense is good, but Utah's defense is much better than
Iowa States, that maybe it's a complete route. Thirty eight
to fourteen was the final score last week and the
game State under fifty five and a half. Today's total
is even higher, is at sixteen and a half today,

(10:38):
So I'm a little on the concern side that Kansas
is not going to score enough.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
I'm also looking at ten and a half.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
I don't mind laying ten and a half here for ku.
I do think Kansas is going to be in trouble
here against Utah. But again, a ten point win. This
number was thirteen and a half. It's been bet down,
So I think the best way to approach this game.
I think the best way to play this is to
take the team total because look, teams that are going

(11:05):
to run the score up are just going to run
the football.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
Well that's what Utah does. They just run the football.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
So if Kansas can't tent stop or tackle Utah, I
can can't tell, sorry, can't can't tauple. Utah is running
running backs. I mean third string, fourth string guys come
in and they're still running, and they're still going ahead
and running through big holes, and they're still going to
be able to go and score. So I'm not really
afraid of the white flag being thrown up by k
by Utah against Kansas, because all Kyle Liningham is going

(11:32):
to do is run the football. If they score the score,
you got to stop them. It's football. So I do
think Utah scores forty points today, maybe even more than
that against KU. I don't mind the ten and a half,
I don't mind the over, But I think the best
way to play this game is to take the team
total and go over thirty five and a half for
Utah up against KU at minus one fifteen. I think

(11:55):
it's the safest bet that Utah will score a bunch
of points today up against Kansas, rather than worrying about
Kansas's offense against Utah to keep up with the over,
and rather than worrying about covering a ten and a half,
ten big number, scoring thirteen, you know, being in by
thirteen or fourteen points in case KU has a really
big game, in case that defense doesn't play well like

(12:16):
they didn't play well last week against Kansas Kansas State. Rather,
let's just take team total Utah laying Utah thirty five
and a half team total for one point one units.
And then finally we go to Texas. A and M
in Texas and look, this is a hard game to bet.
I'm going to just tell you straight up, this is
a hard game to bet. The total two and a

(12:37):
half open up fifty one and a half has gone over.
A and M is eight and three to the over.
This year, Texas is five and six, six and five
to the under, but A and M is four and
oh to the over on the road this year, and
while Texas is three and two at home, Texas scored
fifty two points at home against Arkansas last week.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
They looked good.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
That's not a great Arkansas defense, obviously with the firing
Sam Pittman, but that's an offense for Texas that needed
a game like that to give sark some confidence, to
give arch Manning some confidence going into this game up
against Texas A and M, who just blanked Samford, but
that's Samford. In their last game, they give up thirty
points to South Carolina. I think Texas can learn a

(13:19):
lot from that football game as to what they were
doing with Leonora Sellers, that they can go and get
this game to be a high scoring affair, a back
and forth battle. I mean, look against LSU forty nine
to twenty five, against Arkansas forty five, forty two. We
have seen shootouts against Notre Dame forty one, forty. This

(13:39):
is just what Texas A and M does on the road.
They get into shootouts and I think Texas will have
a chance to score. I think A and M's offense
is prolific, so I think A and M will score.
I think this is going to be a highly entertaining
back and forth game. It's two and a half or three.
If Texas wins, Texas will keep Texas A and M
out of the SEC champion game next week. If Texas wins,

(14:03):
TAXA A and M wins, They're headed to the SEC
Championship game. So a ton on the rock on the
line here. If Texas wins, they keep themselves alive for
a at large bid to the College Football Playoff. A
and M wins, it obviously puts them into the SEC Championship,
but it keeps them in the top four position here
for the College football playoffs. So I mean a lot

(14:25):
going into this game. It's a big rivalry game. A
lot of people like Texas to win this game. I
think that's a fine point, But I'm not going to
sit here and put money behind it because I'm not
that confident that Texas beats Texas A and M. You
guys have if you've been with us all season long,
you know I'm pretty heavy. I like tex Am a lot.
I think they've been one of the best team that's
not the best team in the country all year. So
I'm a little bit heasant to fade text A and

(14:47):
M in this spot on the road short number coin
flip type game. Let's just go ahead and jump in
on the over easier play Texas A and M and
Texas over to the two and a half at minus
one ten. All right, so three plays for us here
the podcast today Eagles minus seven against the Bears, Utah
team total over thirty five and a half and Texas
A and M and Texas over fifty two and half.

(15:11):
