all of my socials at Sports Talk Matt and we
have had a very good week. It is Saturday morning.
Remember I'm taping this day of so some of these
numbers should be available to you right now to go
and bet them. Right now. We are nine and two

(00:36):
over the last four days. We sweep the board for
the second time this week. Arizona outright, Brewers, Big Win,
Orioles and the Blue Jays got a little sweaty there
at the end, but under eight comes in three and
Oho up three units. We continue to do well here
in the month of September, hopefully here into the month

(00:59):
or the rest of them an we keep rolling here.
It is a college football Saturday, so this podcast dropping
should be out by eight o'clock Eastern time eleven am
Eastern time. We will have the Discord Channel chat today.
We've got that. If you're not in the Discord Channel
and you want to come on over and you want
to be a part of it, I will give you

(01:20):
more thoughts on other games as we head towards kickoff
for college football at noon Eastern time bettingpros dot Com
slash chat on our Discord channel, so hopefully see you
guys there. We'll talk about more than just the four games.
I'm gonna give you guys here right now, before we
get too deep into the podcast, two picks.

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Right at the top.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
I am on Terrence Crawford by decision to win tonight
in Las Vegas against Canel Alvarez. The reason why I'm
not making it official. I think it's gonna lose.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
I bet it a while ago. I got a really
good price plus money. There is so much money on Crawford, like,
there is so much money on Crawford. I've seen this
story before. I love Bud Crawford again. I worked in Omaha.
I've been following Bud. He's been my favorite fighter fair
He's my favorite US fighter for a long time. I

(02:17):
love lemon Chenko, and since he retired, now it's all
Bud Crawford. It was you know, it was it was
two fighters, and I love both for their footwork, both
for their skill, their boxing acumen.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
And now he retired, so now you've got Crawford. That's it.
This stadium is going to be rocking for Canelo.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
There's no debate. It's Mexican Independence weekend. But I like
Bud Crawford money line, Bud Crawford by decision, but I
don't think it's gonna win.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
So not official, but that's where I am. I'm on Crawford,
but so is the world.

Speaker 2 (02:54):
Like the world. There's a two million dollar bet bet.
MGM took a two million dollars bet yesterday.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
I hate that.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
I see that and I'm like, uh oh no, we're
in trouble. Okay, books are comfortable needing Canelo to win,
no guarantees, but that worries me. Number two, Red Sox
win tonight against the Yankees. It's Max Freed. We're gonna
fade Freed. Red Sox didn't look great yesterday to win
for the Yankees, but the Red Sox pitching did pretty well.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
I like Bayo.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
I like Bayo at home against Max Freed. Red Sox
even up the series at one game apiece here today.
So there are your baseball plays, there's your boxing plays
for college football plays coming up here in just one second.

(04:29):
slash Premium to claim your upgrade. Okay, let's talk about
three games in the SEC in one game in the
quote non conference involved in SEC school. This is the
time of the year, guys, where I tend to focus
on the SEC a lot. It's my favorite conference. I
love betting them, I love looking at them, I love

(04:51):
talking about them, I love breaking the games down. Can
we talk about Florida and LSU. I've gone back and
forth in this game over and over and over. Okay,
the number being seven and a half, and I am
betting numbers today, Like really, I'm betting numbers today, So
it's important for you guys to go find the numbers.
There's some discrepancies in the market. But Billy Napier has
been a pretty good guy to back as a dog.

(05:14):
And Billy Napier has been a guy he has like
nine lives. When you think he's getting fired, he does
something remarkable to keep his job. They lost last week
at home to South Florida in horrific fashion, but they've
got a five star quarterback who I think just has
to be allowed to make plays today in DJ Langway.

(05:34):
LSU's defense has been really really good, like amazingly good.
But how much of that was Clemson? Clemson last week
looked horrible, looked horrible. They weren't the game, but they
needed a whole four quarters to do it. So how
much of a win are we How much stock are
we putting in that win? Because I put a lot
of stock in that win because the defense looked incredibly competent.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
The new defensive coordinator has been.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Great, I mean great for LSU, But seven and a
half the Gators play Miami next week.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
They've played Miami next week, like they have to win
this game.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
I don't know if they will, but something tells me
this is gonna be an old fashioned LSU Florida barn
Burner football game where you get the best effort out
of the Gators and at seven and a half points
in an SEC game like this is too many points
that Billy Napier as a dog in the SEC catching
seven and a half points in a must win situation

(06:31):
because of the schedule, because his job's on the line,
because if he wins this game, he shuts up everyone.
I've seen this story before in college football, where the
coach just simply pulls rabbits out of the hat. Napier's
got the talent, There's no debate. It's Florida. They've got talent.
LSU and Garrison and Garrett Nutsmeyer. I like LSU. I've

(06:52):
been really impressed with LSU's start, but I think now
this is where Brian Kelly struggles because when things start
to go really well, we have seen Brian Kelly go
the other way, while Billy Napier has found a way
to win games and keep his job when the things
are going in the right direction for LSU.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
This is the game they lose.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
I mean, I was on LSU at seven and six
and a half and like I was watching it, like okay, less,
she's gonna kill Florida.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
And then I started to dig down deeper.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
I started to look at some game film, and I
started to kind of go, all right, last week was
really an anomaly. Like Florida in the second half they
had that game one. South Florida is going to Miami
where they are seventeen and a half point dogs. Today,
Miami very well wins that game by thirty. I don't

(07:43):
want to lay seventeen and a half, but I get it.
If you want to lay six seventeen or sixteen and
a half, you're gonna buy it down. That's fine. I'm
just not really interested in laying that many points. In
college football right now, everyone's on South Florida, all the
pros are on Miami. I'm gonna go against the grain
a little bit here, and I'm taking the Gators plus
seven and a half Florida plus seven and a half

(08:05):
for one point one units up against LSU Bet number two.
Let's talk about Tennessee at home in a game where
everyone likes Georgia. Everyone likes Georgia. I get why. Here's
my worry about Georgia on the road. Tennessee has gone.

(08:27):
I believe the record is twenty two to one over
the last twenty three home games, the one loss Georgia.
Georgia has dominated this series, dominated this series in a
way that hasn't happened all that often in college football.
Georgia in Alabama dominating Tennessee is a rarity. It doesn't

(08:47):
happen all that often Tennessee at home with a sellout crowd.
I like Georgia. I'm on Georgia to win the SEC.
I liked their quarterback. But Georgia hasn't stunned me and
hasn't made me stand up and go okay. That's a

(09:10):
nationally that's a national championship caliber football team at the moment,
it's top ten team going to Nieland Stadium and this
is where you get just an unbelievable atmosphere and the volunteers.
I mean, this is the first road start for so
many of these volunteer players, and that I mean for

(09:31):
Gunner Stockton, this is his first road start in the SEC.
I've seen this story before where you go on the
road and you just straight up struggle because you're on
the road against one hundred thousand screaming people. I've been
in Knoxville in games like this where you cannot hear
yourself think because it's so loud. Now, same thing for

(09:52):
Joey Aguilar. I'll get I'll give you this is the
biggest start of his career two and his resume is
not that long.

Speaker 1 (09:57):
So you know, it's great. Aplation State's applation state.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
But there are some weapons in the passing attack for
Tennessee that I think they're going to be able to exploit.
I think the volunteers will move the football on the ground.
And again this is a numbers play. Georgia wins. They
win by three, four and a half. Give me the Valls.
I'll take Tennessee at home Tennessee plus four and a half.

(10:23):
At minus one ten they lose the game most likely,
but home dog Tennessee, road dog Florida. I like points today.
I'm gonna give me points in Week three in college football,
overreaction Saturday, people betting with their eyes, people you know,
running to the window and saying, oh what happened? The
first two weeks. It's going to happen again. We could

(10:44):
have some cartage today in college football. Absolutely, we could
have a lot of difficulties with teams that are laying
points covering these numbers. Florida plus seven and a half,
Tennessee plus four and a half, two massive games in
the sec before I give you the other two plays. Guys,
You guys know that hard Rock Bet new presenting sponsor

eight eight, admit it in Indiana if you are something
you know as a gambling problem and wants help called
one hundred and nine with it gambling problem called one
and hard gambler in Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, New Jersey, Ohio, Tennessee,
and Virginia. Okay, Notre Dame. Notre Dame lost at Miami

(12:07):
and then had a bye week. What a fortuitous break here, Okay, CJ.
Carr needed the experience of going on the road. And
if the game had been played the way the second half,
if there were two halves the way the second half
played at Miami, the Irish win that game.

Speaker 1 (12:24):
CJ.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Carr figured out, the offense figured it out, the defense
figured it out. It was just too little, too late
for the Irish. So Miami wins the game. They held on,
but the bye week for the Irish I think was tremendous.
It was absolutely tremendous. This play has more to do
with Notre Dame's defense and CJ. Carr than it does
with anything that tex A and M it's going to

(12:46):
bring to the table. I just think Notre Dame with
that bye week, has a huge opportunity, huge opportunity here
to right the ship, get a w and look if
it's up to seven, I mean six and a half,
I want under seven.

Speaker 1 (13:03):
Okay, the Irish.

Speaker 2 (13:05):
I think Marcus Freeman having an opportunity to you know,
get that extra time is tremendous.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
I know this is a.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
Spot play for some people when it comes to A
and M and what they're gonna do here for the Aggies,
and they think that Mike Elkhos team's gonna have a
chance to go in and shock the world. A people
are betting on the Aggies. You know the opening number
for this game for Notre Dame, it was I think
it was seven and a half, right the opening? Oh

(13:39):
hold on, I like plus six and a half. I'm sorry,
my six nap. Sorry a number opened up A six nap,
it's still six and a half. Okay, some books open
up seven. First move came on A and M and
I understand why. Okay, it's a lot of points. It's
a natty school on the road. I'm just gonna bank
on the Irish making more plays in the second half.
And I think TJ. Carr has a big game here.

(14:01):
I think the Irish redemption here they get the W.
I like Marcus Freeman at home. It's a Saturday night
atmosphere in South Bend. I don't love laying six and
a half, but I'm gonna do it. The Irish minus
six and a half for one point one units. And finally,
this is this is just fun. Diego Pavia? Can he

(14:22):
keep doing this? Can Diego Pavia shock everybody and get
a massive win against a top fifteen team in South Carolina. Now,
Leonora Sellers, the quarterback for South Carolina, is going to
have a gigantic say and what happens for the Heisman Trophy,
He's going to be involved. But Diego Pavia last year
shocked everybody with the home victories against number one Alabama

(14:43):
and others in Nashville.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
This is at South Carolina. In Columbia. What worries me
is that.

Speaker 2 (14:50):
Everyone is on Vandy. The number opened up at five
and a half. It has crashed all the way down.
Three and a half's are in the market. I want
this over three. But I think Vanderbilt is gonna be
a problem for everyone in the SEC because they went
on the road last week against Votech and they won
forty four to twenty. Now you might go, Matt, Votech's

(15:11):
not good. I would agree with you, Votech's not that good.
But Vandy beats somebody forty four to twenty on the road, Vandy,
that just doesn't happen. Like it just doesn't happen. There
is such a crazy belief going on. This is a
night game. Columbia is gonna be drunk. They're gonna be
going bonkers, which is what Vanderbilt likes.

Speaker 1 (15:31):
It's what this team likes.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
I mean, look, I like Shane Biemer a lot, but
I've talked to enough South Carolina people that are kind
of like, eh, we don't know. These are the games
that South Carolina loses that they're not supposed to, Like,
they're supposed to win this game and then Diego Pavia
walks in and beats them. Vandy has Georgia State in

(15:55):
Utah State next, Like, this is not a super Bowl,
but everything kind of been building up to this. They
won forty five to three in their first game, forty
four to twenty in their second game, and now here
they are with South Carolina. They have two cupcakes after that,
and then they go to Alabama in two weeks or
three weeks. It's a hard start to the schedule. But

(16:17):
if Leonora Sellers makes mistakes, which he's been prone to do,
he's been prone to throw interceptions when he's not supposed
to throw interceptions in South Carolina. Yes they are two
and zero, but they beat va Tech twenty four to eleven.
Vandy killed va Tech at home on the road, rather
at what was at home on a neutral South Carolina

(16:40):
barely covered. So we have a common opponent between these
two teams, and Vandy looked like the better team between
South Carolina and Vinnie now was week one, so maybe
that's why. But there's game film there coaches getting you.
I mean, it's gonna really help the coaches to have
a game plan after watching how each team approach of

(17:00):
VA Tech. South Carolina probably wins the game. But I
want over a field goal. Three and a half's are
in the market going get it.

Speaker 1 (17:09):
It won't stun me.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
If Diego Pavia gets a victory here today and we
keep talking about Diego Pavia Vandy plus three and a
half for one point one units. All right, four bets
for us here today on a Saturday, plus the baseball
in the boxing bet I gave you as well unofficially
if you want to get involved later on in the night.
Tennessee plus four and a half at home up against

(17:31):
a team that's coming to town in Georgia that is hungry.
But Tennessee doesn't lose at home very often, and George's
had their number. Tennessee gets one back today. Florida plus
seven and a half on the road against LSU and
a must win game for Billy Napier Notre Dame at
home in a bounce back spot after the loss to Miami,
laying six and a half, two Texas A and M
and Vanderbilt plus three and a half on the road

(17:54):
at South Carolina. Four games all involving SEC schools. That's
just kind of where my eye tends to go at
this time of the year. In September, I will talk
to you at eleven am Eastern time, eight am Pacific
for our Discord channel chat more thoughts on Week three
of college football coming up later on today.
