Speaker 1 (00:15):
Happy Saturday, guys. It is Championship Saturday, the Daily Juice Podcast.
My name is Matt Perrault. You guys can follow me
across all of my socials at Sports Talk Matton. Unfortunately,
our little mini heater came to an end last night,
a one and two night for us. We get too
Lane correct, UNLV wrong, the over did not come in
(00:36):
from North Texas and for Tulane clearly the quarterback news
for Boise was the difference in that football game. So
that's just one of those things where I really did
not think that Matt tum was going to play. I
was told he wasn't going to play, even though people
were saying he was going to. I was told that
his foot injury was going to keep him out. He played,
(00:57):
He played really well, and so that's just one of
those things we just live and learn and move on.
It was a bad bet, my bad on that. So
one in two we're still up for the week. So
we're doing fine heading to Saturday and Sunday. Now I
am going to do a Discord channel chat. It's the
last one of twenty twenty five for the college football season. Okay,
(01:19):
I'll do one more if you guys want to chit
chat and hang out and talk, we can do that.
There are really four games to talk about. It's not
like there's a gigantic slate of games to get into.
I don't expect much line movement. There may be an
injury or two to talk about, but there's not really
a gigantic amount of information to go through. So we'll
(01:43):
go for like twenty minutes or so, and then once
we kind of get to the point where.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
We're good, well, we're good.
Speaker 1 (01:49):
I mean, we can talk UFC a bit. If you
guys want to get into some UFC conversations for what
will happen on Saturday night, we can do that. If
you want to spend some time talking about the NFL,
we can do that.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
So, like it's just we're going to.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
Start it at eight o'clock Pacific time, eleven am Eastern
and we'll go for I don't know, thirty forty minutes
or so, and then we'll wrap it for the final
time for twenty twenty five. The final Discord channel chat
happening at eight o'clock in the morning Pacific eleven am
Eastern time on the Betting pros Discord channel. To get there,
it's bettingpros dot Com slash chat to get in.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
I look forward to seeing.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Each and every one of you guys coming up here
for our Discord channel chat later this morning at eight
o'clock Pacific am eleven am Eastern to go over Championship Saturday. Now,

Coming up here for two day. All right, a couple
(03:47):
of things I've already given you BYU plus thirteen numbers
now twelve and a half. I think BYU can keep
it close against Texas Tech. I know they got blown
out in the game in Lubbock, but I do think
they have a chance to keep the game really actively close.
BYU has to win to get into the college football playoffs.
I expect them to throw everything at Texas Tech, kitchen,
(04:09):
sink and whatnot. It doesn't matter if they lose. It
only matters if they win. I think Tech wins, but
I don't think Tech covers. So we're going to take
the thirteen points with BYU. Now, do you have the
Georgia to win the SEC ticket? It's plus three sixty.
I had to go and check it. It's one of
(04:30):
the few bets I wasn't really aware of the odds.
I thought it was three twenty five. It's actually three sixty. Okay,
we have a one unit play to win three point
six units.
Speaker 2 (04:42):
So this is what I do.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
If you want to let it ride, by all means
let it ride, okay, But this is a money line
bet that could win us three point six units on Georgia.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Now I hedge. You could hedge in game.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
You can wait for the game to kick off and
you can watch the game and see how it plays out.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
Before you do anything. Or you can go pre flop.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
And because this podcast I don't do in game betting
for podcasts, this is a pre pre game pre flop podcast,
we hedge. So get the best odds on Alabama that
you can find. The best odds I could find were
or plus one ten. So what are we gonna do.
(05:28):
I'm gonna put down more than one unit. If Georgia wins,
it's three point six units we have to play with, okay,
So how much are we willing to give back in
order to guarantee ourselves profit in case Georgia loses Alabama's
plus one ten. I'm gonna put one point five units
down on this, okay, So if Alabama wins, we're gonna
(05:52):
wind up getting one point sixty five units back from
that bet. That is a bet that you can look
at to hedge and you can get involved. Remember, we're
going to give a unit back, okay, So we have
to go a little bit more just to make sure
we guarantee profit. Okay, We're not gonna if Bama wins,
(06:13):
will win point six five units, because we're gonna give
a unit back for the loss betting on Georgia. On
the flip side, if Georgia wins, it's three point six units,
We're gonna give one point five units.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
Back on Alabama.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
So that's gonna cut it down to basically two point
one units. Okay, So we want Georgia to win. If
Georgia wins, we win two point one units. If you
don't want to hedge and you just want to let
it ride, or you want to hedge in game, by
all means do that.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
You don't have to follow what I am doing. I'm
just I need to bet enough so we make money.
I just want to make a little bit for my time.
I don't want to lose money.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
I want to guarantee profit.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
So I'm gonna guarantee a win here by betting on
Alabama at plus one ten for one point five units, Okay,
and if that comes back we should be good, and
that's a you know, it's it's it's a one point
sixty five unit win for us. We're gonna give a
unit back on the other side cause the Georgia, So
it's point sixty five units.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
And then if you go and have Georgia win, they're.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Gonna give one point five units back after the three
point six units, and it's gonna wind up being two
point one units that will win. So I'm I'm someone
who likes to mitigate risk. I want to guarantee ourselves
profit on this game. I want to kick my heels
up and watch it. And if I know I've got
plus plus already on both sides in game, I can
play around. I can take different positions in game if
(07:42):
I want halftime, after the first quarter or whatever it
might be. So for Alabama Georgia in the SEC Championship game,
this only applies if you have the Georgia bet from
this summer. Okay, we bet at this summer. There are
some people that say hedge for gardeners and they're going
to let it ride for three point six units. And
(08:04):
I do not knock you for doing that. Okay, not
in the lease. You're a gambler. I'm a gambler, but
I like to mitigate risk. I like to try to
figure out to guarantee myself that if we win the
Virginia or if we win the BYU game and we
win our other bet, which we'll get to in a second,
you win those bets having a really good day. Okay,
(08:26):
that's the goal. You want to leave it, let it
ride with Georgia, Go ahead, I'm pulling for Georgia. I
would love to see us win two units or two
plus units on this would be tremendous. I just want
to guarantee that we didn't just sit on that ticket
for nothing, that we can guarantee profit. So we're going
BYU plus thirteen Alabama money line at plus one ten
(08:47):
for the hedge at one point five units. Now, the
other bet is Virginia against Duke in the ACC Championship.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Here is the thing.
Speaker 1 (08:58):
If if Virginia loses to Duke, Duke is in Duke
gets the automatic qualifier, it creates a massive problem because
of the fact that the committee is going to have
to put Virginia into this bracket. How do they do that?
(09:20):
Sorry Duke into this bracket? How do they do that?
Twelve eleven. Where are they against Tulane? Where is Duke
in this? Because TWU lane is in? Is Duke the
twelve seed?
Speaker 2 (09:33):
In two lanes? The eleven seed? Is that how we're
going to do it? Then?
Speaker 1 (09:37):
What do you do if BYU beats Texas Tech?
Speaker 2 (09:40):
BYU beats Texas.
Speaker 1 (09:42):
Tech, Oh my gosh, now we're into and an Alabama
beats Georgia. Now we're into full fledged armageddon. Okay, it
could be just crazy. It's simple and easy if Virginia wins,
Virginia gets into the playoff, and it's simple and easy
for everybody there going to be the eleven seed.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
Twulane is the twelve seed.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
I'm not gonna go full tin hat conspiracy theory like
a lot of people have about this as to why
it's simpler and easier for the committee if Virginia wins,
So the UVA is gonna get every call in this game,
so Duke didn't get nothing, like, forget about it. The
ACC even they don't want Duke. Go, You've got Miami,
You've got Notre Dame. You got that fight that still
(10:23):
is going on as to who should be in and
who should be not. So I mean you add in
Virginia into the conversation and it gets all wonky. And look,
you want to blame somebody, Blame the ACC for their
tie breaking rules about why Miami is not playing in
this game.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
But they're not playing in this game. Duke and Virginia
are so pro.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
Money has come in heavily on Virginia. I'm gonna trail
the pro money. I'm gonna trail what we have seen before.
We watched it last night when Boise played against you
and LV. They won the first matchup big, they won
the second matchup big.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
Same thing might be the case here.
Speaker 1 (10:57):
Uva won the first matchup big against Duke, they very
well might win the second matchup big as well. Here
in the ACC Championship game, I'm gonna take it. I'm
gonna lay to three and a half points Virginia minus
three and a half for one point one units. So
buyu plus thirteen MS one ten albuma money line for
the hedge, and UVA minus three and a half in
(11:20):
the ACC Championship game at minus one ten. I will
talk to you guys in the Discord channel chat at
eight am Pacific eleven am Eastern time for our final
college basketball college football rather discord channel chat happening this morning.
