Speaker 1 (00:15):
Happy Sunday, guys, what's up?
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Welcome into another episode of the Daily Juice podcast. My
name is Matt Parolt. You guys can follow me across
all of my socials at Sports Talk Matt, and we're
back after just another kind of crappy night. Two and two.
Last night, we get the Dodgers on the money line.
We get South Carolina. They could have won the game outright,
but they fumbled that game away literally to Alabama. But
(00:38):
we get the plus twelve easy. Missouri had a really
unfortunate That was the bummer. That was the bet that
could have swung the whole day. Missouri was right there,
but unfortunately starting quarterback got hurt and then just a
little bit of an unfortunate ending that might have been
a push. It could have been a three point win
for Vandy. Instead seventeen ten Vandy wins and covers. Iowa
State got smoked in the second and a half. That
(01:00):
was the bad bet of the day. So two and
two down, point two units on the day. Reminder of
the live stream that's going to be taking place at
noon Eastern time at nine am Pacific time for the
NFL Games to day.
Speaker 1 (01:13):
Join me.
Speaker 2 (01:15):
I think it's Pat Fitzmorris, might Betel Furman. I'm not
sure who's joining me on Sunday, but one of those,
one of our casts of characters will be with us
at noon Eastern time breaking down the entire NFL Slate.
Reminder that six teams are on buys this week, so
it's a little bit of a slim picking situation here
(01:35):
going on. But I do have bets to give you, guys,
including the debut of what we are going to call
the hard Rock Bet of the Day.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Do you guys know hard Rock Bet is the.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
Title sponsor of this podcast, So we'll start Sunday's podcasts
off with the hard Rock Bet of the Day, and
the hard Rock Bet of the Day is going to
be drum roll please over forty one and a half
for San Francisco and Houston. Okay, there's a couple theories
to jump in here with this game. The first of
(02:08):
which is I think we see more offense than what
we are currently looking at. There's a couple of reasons why.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
One.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
I like that Brock Party is not playing in this game. Okay,
I like that it's Mac Jones. Mac Jones has done
a really good job of coming in and giving this
offense a lot of life. I know Houston's defense is
very good, but I think Houston's going to be able
to score. And frankly, Houston very well might score a
bunch here in this game against San Francisco, simply because
(02:39):
since Christmas is twenty three, the forty nine Ers are
one in thirteen ats after a straight up win. Okay,
this is not great for them on this Shanahan is
not great here in these situations, and the forty nine
Ers are a little bit up against it here, just
with all the indies that they have currently. Now, if
(03:03):
you look at the Texans playing on short rest, they
haven't been great either under CJ. Stroud zero to two
straight up when they are coming off of a short week.
Short week here for the Texans now, the forty nine
Ers and Detexans are both coming off of night games
last week. Over the last three seasons, when both teams
(03:26):
are coming off of night games, the over is seventeen
to nine, covering by more than a touchdown. Another reason
why I like this game, I just think there's playmaker
is still available for the forty nine Ers, and I
do think the Niner defense is so banged up. I
do think the Texans are going to put up some
points here. I'm not sure who wins the game. I
(03:46):
would lean towards the Texans, but I think we see points.
The numbers that has come down all the way to
forty one and a half. Once it crossed forty two.
You your key numbers of forty two, forty three, and
forty four. Once we got below forty two, I said, okay,
it's time to fire on this. We're going over. We're
taking the over for the first ever hard Rock Bet
(04:07):
of the Day San Francisco and Houston over forty one
and half. As you guys know, this podcast is being

(04:50):
bet number two. Let's go to Denver and Dallas House
of Horrors. This has been an absolute house of horrors
for the Dallas Cowboys. But Bo Nixon Company got so
lucky last week. They scored thirty three points in the
fourth quarter. They have won four consecutive games. Denver blew
(05:11):
out Cincinnati at home, but that was Joe Burrow as Cincinnati.
They beat Philadelphia by four on the road, they beat
the Jets overseas by two, and they beat the Giants
at home by one. So for the last three weeks,
three wins by a total of seven points for the
(05:34):
Denver Broncos. They are playing with fire. I fully admit
that the Cowboys lost on the road to Chicago by
seventeen points, and they lost on the road to Philadelphia
by four points, and they lost on the road to
Carolina by three points. They are zero and three on
the road. However, they did beat the Jets. They handed
(05:56):
they crushed the Jets. Okay, but that's the Jets. I'll
give it to you two against the number away from
home this year.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
We know their offense is great.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
We know Dak Prescott's playing an MVP type level, but
the defense is a huge problem. But against bo Nicks, Okay,
how big of a problem it's going to be. I mean,
this total is high fifty one for a game in Denver.
I definitely lean towards the under this game, but I
think the hook matters. I don't want to take three.
I want three and a half here for Dallas, who
(06:25):
I think can keep this game close, because frankly, we
saw what happened last week in what Jackson Dart and
what the offense did for the Giants against this defense
for Denver. You can get yards over the middle with
the tight end, and Jake Ferguson could have a very
big game here today for the Dallas Cowboys. I think
Dallas might be able to run the ball a little
bit here on Denver. The Denver Broncos are two four
(06:49):
and one ats so far this season. They're one in
two at home. They're winning games, but they're winning games
by tiny margins and they're not covering spread. They were
eight and a half point favorites against the Giants, didn't cover.
They were seven point favorites against the Jets, didn't cover.
They were catching four against Philly. That was on the road.
(07:09):
They won the game outright. They were laying seven against Cincinnati,
they covered that, but they caught three against the Chargers.
Speaker 1 (07:17):
It was a push. They laid one against Indy.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
They lost that game, and they were laying eight sorry
nine to the Titans and they won it by eight.
They've not been good against the number, and it feels
like this is a three point win one way or
the other. I think the hook comes into play here.
I'm taking Dallas. Gave me Dallas plus three and a
half year for one point one units that number three.
(07:41):
We go to Sunday Night football. It is the Green
Bay Packers and the team that now employs Aaron Rodgers
what's called let's call the STEELERSTA. So here's the interesting stats.
Mike Tomlin after he gets blown out tends to come
back and play really really well. Mike Tomlin when he loses,
(08:05):
tends to come back and play well quite consistently. Mike
Tomlin as an underdog thirty two times has been an
underdog listed as the head coach of the Packer as
the Steelers, and he's nineteen and thirteen straight up. But
more importantly, he's twenty two, seven and three against the
number as a home dog. If you look at Mike
(08:25):
Tomlin after an outright loss, he's twelve and three ats
when the next game after the loss, he is a
home underdog. Okay, this this is the game everyone's going
to be watching. This is the game everyone's going to
be talking about. It will have the biggest ratings, may
have the biggest handle on this. But I just think
(08:48):
that Green Bay is a little bit overvalued here. They've
won two games in a row. After the tie against
Dallas and the loss to Cleveland on the road, they've
bounced back against Arizona and against Cincinnati, but they didn't
cover either game. Pittsburgh loses to Cincinnati last week, a
game that we all talked about here. We were on
(09:09):
Cincinnati saying, you know, this could be a really dangerous
spot here with Joe Burrow and company. No, I'm sorry,
with Joe Flack own company against you know, with those wideouts.
Gave up too many points to Cincinnati. They lost the
game by two to seven point favorites. We were on
the Bengals. They beat Cleveland by fourteen at home in
their last home game, they beat it lost to Seattle
by fourteen at home in the home game before that,
(09:32):
they won overseas against Minnesota, and they beat the Patriots
on the road in that crazy five turnover game for
the Patriots. I just think this is a Mike Tomlin special.
It's the square Dog of the week. Everyone's going to
be on the Steelers. Everyone's going to be talking about
Tomlin and company. But look, it's been a while since
the Packers have won a game in Pittsburgh. Green Bay
(09:53):
is zero to six straight up in Pittsburgh over the
last fifty years. The last win for Pittsburgh came in
for Le's when in Pittsburgh for green Bay was in
nineteen seventy when Bart Starr lost to Chuck Noll and
Terry Bradshaw. Okay, it's been a while, it's been a
long long time since that's happened. I think it's Aaron Rodgers.
(10:16):
It's you know, he's got extra juice for this team.
He talked about this, we want to retire as a
Packer when it's all said and done.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
You know, he wants to go out there and put
up a big number. But I think the.
Speaker 2 (10:24):
Defense plays really really well here, and I think Jordan
Love could be in trouble here. In terms of turning
the football over. In his career, Jordan Love is zero
and six straight up on the road when he scores
less than twenty points. He's ten five and one straight
up when he scores more than twenty points. I'm not
sure that the Steelers are going to give up a
lot of points here to the Packers. I expect a
great defensive effort here for the green Bay Packers. I'm
(10:47):
coming in give me green Bay. Sorry, you can give
me pit Pittsburgh against green Bay. So we have Dallas
plus three and a half, we have the over in
San Francisco, in Houston, Pittsburgh plus three, and then we
come to the teaser, the Patriots and the Eagles. I'm
teasing them both down from seven. The Patriots are at
home against a team that they should blow out. Will
(11:09):
they blow the Browns out? I don't know. Being totally honest,
I don't know. Think they win the game, okay, but
I'm not positive they blow out Cleveland. It's a little
bit of a fear factor that I've got, But I
do think they win. So I'll pull them down and
not worry about the spread and just take the Patriots
to win the game.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
Same thing for the Eagles.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Okay, the Eagles are playing the Giants, and the Giants
just had one of the most catastrophic losses in the
history of the NFL last week, blowing that huge lead,
giving up thirty three points in the fourth quarter to Denver.
Jackson Dart at home is different than Jackson Dart on
the road. And this is Jackson Dart on the road,
and here is revenge.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
This is payback for the Eagles.
Speaker 2 (11:49):
They lost to the Giants in Jackson Dart in New York,
so I don't care about the aj brown stuff. I
was very impressed with the win last week for the
Eagles against the Vikings and hostile and terry to great
passing game for Jalen Hurts. I think that may continue
here today, as the running game really isn't that good,
and frankly, running on the Giants defense is difficult. But
I think passing is available, and I do think the
(12:12):
Eagles offense will pass. But more importantly, I think Jackson
Dart's gonna have his lunch eaten by that Eagles defense.
I don't expect much offense at all. Out of this
Giants offense. I thought Denver would shut them down. They
took them three quarters to figure it out, and then
they finally did in the fourth quarter. But Eagles minus one,
Patriots minus one. There is your teaser for the week
(12:34):
here this week now, I will love some player props
with for you guys coming up on the live stream
coming up at new Eastern time, So tune in for that.
And if there's a long teaser out there that makes sense,
I will pass it along and tell you guys about it,
and I'll fire it on myself.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
This is a big teaser week. There's a lot of hooks.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
There's a lot of dogs out there that look like
they're going to be very dangerous to fade. This could
be a very big dog week. Even and a half
and three and a halfs and fours all over the board,
plus six teams on buys, no international game in only
one game on Monday Night football. So this is a
tricky week. Be careful with this week. I will talk
