Speaker 1 (00:14):
What's up, guys?
Speaker 2 (00:15):
How are you welcome into a Tuesday morning episode of
the Daily Juice podcast. My name is Matt Peultz. You
guys can follow me across all of my socials at
Sports Talk Matt, and we are back following a two
and one night, a profitable night for us to start
the week. The Mariners run line, they all over the
Padres nine to six.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
On the wind.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
The Brewers get a late run to get us to
the run line seven to five to win. There for
the Brewers, the Nats and the Yankees. That was the
bad bed of the day. That game flew over ten
to five finals, So way wrong on that bed, but
right on the other two up with plus money one
point two units with a two in one day here
on Monday, So good start for us here on the week.
(00:58):
As we approach what will be a very busy college
football weekend, we have games starting on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday,
all in college football. Looking forward to getting after every
one of those. And I will be in Massachusetts for
the long weekend, so I'm looking forward to being able
to fire on some books that are there New Hampshire.
(01:21):
After that, having a chance to jump onto New Hampshire stuff.
So looking forward to everything happening on the next couple
of days. But for now, we're going to continue with
the baseball. So it's baseball Monday, baseball Tuesday, maybe baseball Wednesday,
but then Thursday we go heavy into college football and
we start to drift away from the baseball. Although I
(01:41):
will say this, I don't want to drift too far
away from Major League Baseball because let's see if we
have an updated tracker here on Major League Baseball. So
we are, yeah, up to date as of today, so
that's we don't have the actual No, the record is
to date, but the will wins and losses on a
(02:04):
unit perspective is not updated, so the up twenty six
units is not accurate, but the actual bet totals are
so Major League Baseball. We are now eighty eight and
seventy two in Major League Baseball this year, so we're
up about thirteen units in Major League Baseball. So I
don't want to really, you know, get away from that
(02:24):
because last year in college football, you know, we were okay.
In twenty twenty five, we went eight and four with
the bets that were made in January in the playoffs.
We won three point seven units during the playoffs in
twenty five, but our twenty four college football betting was
(02:44):
not good.
Speaker 1 (02:45):
We were I guess I was wrong.
Speaker 2 (02:47):
I was sixty eight and sixty five in twenty twenty four,
up five point sixty five units. Okay, it was really
college basketball. I guess that's where I'm right. That's where
that's where I really had had a rough year last year. Yeah,
I was down ten units in college basketball last year.
I was one oh four and one oh nine in
college basketball last year. So that was in twenty four,
(03:09):
So that was really brtal College football is pretty good actually,
So hopefully we continue to going with college football here
today or this week and for this season. So off
to a decent start in college football, nothing too outstanding,
but we will continue obviously firing on college football as
we head towards this week. Before we get into the
picks for today, let's talk about the TJ. Hockinson signed helmet.
(03:34):
This will be given away in about a week and
a half after the Labor Day holiday.
Speaker 1 (03:39):
We'll give this away.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
So if you have not subscribed to the Betting Pros
YouTube channel, you should one hundred percent do that, right
now comment on this video. That's all you have to do.
Any comment works and you are in for the TJ.
Hockinson signed Vikings helmet. Subscribe, comment and you are good
to go with us. All right, let's start with the
(04:04):
Red Sox and their game against the Orioles. The Orioles
are throwing Kyle Bradish. Kyle Bradish has not pitched since
June of last year. He's coming back from Tommy John
surgery fourteen months off.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
What will he look like?
Speaker 2 (04:23):
No idea. Lucas Giolito is going for the Red Sox.
He is four and one with a three point sixty
five ERA on the road of posing betting averages two
fifteen twenty five earn runs and sixty one and two
thirds innings worth of work. Last time out against the Yankees,
a six to three win, he went four and two
thirds with three earned runs. Lost the Padres. That game,
(04:48):
he went four and two thirds four earned runs, but
they went five to four in extras and lost five
to four. But against the Twins he went six to
one earned run one got the team won the game.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
There beat the Phillies.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Wasn't great in that game, but five urn runs in
four inning for the team won the game nine to eight.
On the road, Gielido has been solid. I'm backing the
Red Sox at a relatively cheap price, knowing that who
knows what Kyle British will look like, who knows how
many pitches Kyle Bradish will throw. The Red Sox won
four to three last night on a three run home
(05:21):
run by Jared Durant.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
They're still not scoring very much.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
I don't mind the under in this game, but I've
got no idea what Bratish is gonna look like. And
for that reason, I'm taking the Red Sox on the
money line. It's a pick them. The books don't know
what to do. They're just telling the pros. You tell
us what to play in, what the line should be,
because we don't.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
Know what Kyle British is gonna look like.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
So I got a Red Sox team that's fighting for
a playoff Berth. I got an Orioles team that's going nowhere.
Their fans are furious. They're throwing a guy again who
hasn't pitched in fourteen months. I'm fading the Orioles. I'm
taking the Red Sox. Call it a homer play. I know, right, right, there.
You know sign behind me would say, Okay, I'm a
(06:04):
Red Sox fan, because I am, but I just think
it's a good move to take the Red Sox against
the Orioles given what Kyle Bradosh is looking like right now,
which we have no idea what he'll look like coming
back after a fourteen month layoff.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
He was great before.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
The injury, one of the best pitchers in the American
League before the injury.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
But you know this is now after the injury. What
will he look like? I have no idea.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
Red Sox money line for one point one units second bet.
Let's go to the Yankees. Yankees taking on the Washington Nationals.
Yankees doing two one to two games in a row,
and the Yankees are facing McKenzie Gore, who's five and
twelve with a four point one to one EIRA. What
do the Yankees do against lefties?
Speaker 1 (06:44):
They mashed them.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
The Yankees RBIs fourth in baseball with one hundred and
seventy six home runs. They're fourth in baseball with fifty
batting average. They are third. They've bet two to sixty
against lefties and Mackenzie Gore has not been great. Okay,
Mackenzie Gore at home four point seven to three ERA
two and six record, a posing batting average of two
(07:08):
for the two. He has given up ten home runs
at home in sixty four and two thirds innings worth
of work. That is bad news when you face the Yankees.
And this lineup for New York now the Yankees at home, well, sorry,
that's his home record.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
Sorry.
Speaker 2 (07:24):
Mackenzie Gore on the road a three point five to
nine ERA, a three and six mark for him, a
posing betting average two sixty three, nine home runs given
up in seventy seven and two third innings worth of work.
Not not much better for Mackenzie Gore. And you have
Louis Heel on the other side going for the Yankees.
Heel at home is a two point six to one ERA.
(07:46):
He's pitched two games at homes. It's coming back from injury,
but both of them have been very good. Ten and
a third innings worth of work, three earned runs and
posting matting average of two fifty six for Heel. He
pitched against the Red Sox. He'd lost that game six
to three. He went five innings, gave up one earned run.
Was not his fault. It's Gore on the road. It's
(08:06):
the Nationals, who are twenty seven and thirty nine on
the road. It's minus one eighty on the Yankees. So
much like yesterday when we took the Brewers at home
laying the run line, We're gonna do the same thing
here with the Yankees. We're gonna take a shot at
plus one twenty on the Yankees laying one and a
half runs against the Washington Nationals. With Mackenzie Gore and
(08:27):
the left handed pitcher going, Let's expect these Yankee bats
to keep hammering Nationals pitching. They scored ten runs or
up ten nothing before they won the game ten to five.
But Yankees crushed yesterday. Let's do it again. Yankees on
the run line at plus one twenty. And finally for us,
I'm gonna go and look at the Guardians and what
(08:49):
the Guardians. We haven't met many Guardians games because I'm
not really high on the Guardians. However, the Guardians are
playing the Tampa Bay Rays and the Guardians have lost.
They lost nothing in the first game in the game yesterday,
in the first game of the series, and they're thirty
one and thirty two at home. The Guardians are a
team where they're not mostly gonna make the playoffs. They've
(09:12):
lost six games in a row. They're frustrated. They've been
shut out for three consecutive games. Ten nothing, five to nothing,
nine nothing. Okay, they've lost. They've lost six games in
a row. Things couldn't be worse. Well, there's an adage
when it comes to and professionals do this all the time,
(09:34):
when you get a great price no matter what happened
the game before. We're betting baseball, which really, yes, momentum
is a thing, but sometimes it's not. Okay, Parker Missic
is going now. This guy's had one start so far
in the big leagues. He's a left handed starting pitching
for the Guardians. He was decent in the one start
at Arizona. He went six and two thirds, one earned run,
(09:57):
one earned run.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
Excuse me. They lost the game three to two extras.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
The Rays are throwing a guy who we have faded
a lot in Shane Bass. Shane Bass, and this is
not a typo.
Speaker 1 (10:08):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
Since the beginning of July, the Rays have won a
total of one game in which he has started, a
five to four win at the Angels. Every other game
dating back to the twenty seventh of June, they have lost.
His ERA in July was five point four. His ZRA
(10:31):
in August is even worse. It's nine. In nineteen innings
worth of work, he's given up nineteen earned runs. When
a team gets shut out for three straight games, at
some point Major League Baseball hitters get angry, they get mad,
and they bust against it. Now you can say, bet
the streak, Matt, bet against this Guardians team, but it's
(10:52):
a pretty cheap price for a team at home to
go ahead and get a win for the Guardians who
are desperate. The Rays, on the other side have won
three games in a row. So I'm betting against what
I normally do here. But I just look at Shane
Baz and say, you're eight and ten. I got a
kid pitcher, lefty who hasn't done very much. We don't
(11:14):
know what really he is or what he looks like.
And I have a raised team that you know is
a middle of the pack team when it comes to
hitting lefties, that they're okay at lefties. They're not like
anything to go, Oh my gosh, look out here comes Tampa.
From a from a batting average perspective, from an RBI perspective,
They're a middle of the pack. From a home run perspective,
(11:36):
they are, you know, pretty much middle of the pack.
You know, they have nothing to jump up and down about.
They're just kind of right there in the middle. An
average team hitting lefties, average team batting against lefties, and
you have a kid in missing that. We don't know
how a whole lot about, but I know about Bass.
Six games in a row, lost for the Guardians, three
(11:57):
straight shutouts. I'm gonna go super contrarian and I'm gonna
take the Guardians here to win this game. Take the
Guardians on the money line at minus one fifteen. It's
a cheap price. Three bets for us here today. Guardians
money line at minus one fifteen, Yankees run line at
plus one twenty, and the Red Sox money line at
(12:18):
minus one ten. Those are our plays for Tuesday. My
name is Matt Parol. You guys can follow me across
all my socials at Sports Talk Matt every morning wherever
you guys get your podcasts. It is the Daily Juice
