I'd like to think we know a little bit about
a little bit. I know what I'm doing doing for
the Yankees. Let's go, hello, I know what I'm doing.
I'm booing the red Socks.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
Who are you ready?
Speaker 2 (00:34):
Poorting the game of ton right now? Tigers up a
run on the Cleveland Guardians. You have a horse in
that race mentally or no? No, But I like Labor
Torres still, so I guess I'll. I would say, it's
really a matter of do you want the team that
made this miraculous comeback or do you want to see
Detroit write the ship after collapsing worse than anyone other
(00:56):
than the Mets. Yeah, I don't know. We'll see what happened,
and we'll keep you posted. We're Covino and Rich. We're
broadcasting live from the Fox Sports Radio studios, and.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
We be rocking out.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
Let's go postseason ghost season, right, Remember no yawn throughout
the month of October, because when you do a ghost
sticks is junk in your face. Iowa Sam is on
the ones, he shooes. Danny G is the super producer
of this professional gram Covino and Rich with up.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Danny G.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Congrats on your Dodgers, man, thank you. You know what's
gross about the Dodgers just their ability to hit the
ball and step up in the moment. It's like they
picked up right where they left off, like their tailor
made for October. Guys like Keith Ahernandez step up like
they're superstars. I don't know what it is, man, It's
like they turn on they look great already, and hey,
(01:49):
congrats to the Reds on a decent run and for
making it. But the Dodgers just outclassed them. Just too
big of a team, and well, congrats again to them.
I will say this, starting Saturday. You can't have those
bullpen Shenettigans against Philadelphia.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
It's not gonna work.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
No, But you saw that they found their closer in Rokie,
who was hurt all season and healthy just in time.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Seems that way.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
It seems that way, But I'm just saying, like the Dodgers,
the setup guys.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Yes they are struggling.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
They could score at will. It seems like that lineup
is just insane and memory. But however, games and the
series have been tremendous. The ratings prove it. Ratings are up.
Everything about it is exciting. You know, these games are
nail biers. Can I tell you something? Watching that game
again as a Yankees fan, yes, or a Yankees Red
Sox it was a must win for the Yankees. Obviously
(02:37):
they won the game, and I found it like almost
impossible to enjoy because I'm pacing the house.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
I feel alive.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
It's fun of being a say you feel alive in
the moment, but are you really having fun.
Speaker 1 (02:49):
Where you're so nervous the whole time.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
It's the great debate of sports, Like it's it's the
great debate do you rather your football team win.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Rather than in thirty one to three? It makes it
a great.
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Game, I think for the casual viewer and the person
who's not emotionally invested. But when you're as emotionally invested
as I am, or as everybody is, when they really
root for a team, it's hard to not It's hard
to have fun if it's not a blowout, like I
want the Yankees to blow them out tonight so I
can enjoy, relax and have fun.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
That's no fun.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
I'll be moonwalking in my socks throughout the living room.
They score more than like four, Can they have a
big inning and score like six seven runs?
Speaker 1 (03:32):
You know it's fun, that's fun.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
What's fun right now is Detroit Cleveland two to one,
sixth inning?
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (03:38):
But for you close exactly, when it's so close. Oh,
it's just gut wrenching. It's fun for everyone. And when
you look back, all the best games, all the best
sports memories you have, are always a close game. No
one's like, you know what I love? No, I disagree.
I love one twelve two because it takes away stress.
It takes away the stress and it just enhances the joel.
(03:58):
I think after if you win and it was stressful,
you're like, oh, what a game. But if it's like
you lose, you're like my soul. Yes, more relief than elation.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
As you see my old school forty nine ers sweatshirt
on tonight, I'm wearing it because they might I might
have to suit up tonight. They might need to have
me play with Pierce all out rock party.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
It's a position, Rich, what would you play? What would
I play? Slot? Receive punt.
Speaker 4 (04:22):
They need someone to catch the ball punt their so
they're fine there, you need someone to catch the ball.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
When you take that back to my childhood, There's got
to be so many jokes there. I'm just so focused
on the Yankees, I couldn't think of it.
Speaker 1 (04:32):
What rich is a long snapper? With a long snapper? Question?
Rich is Bobby Bouchet.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
If you're a forty nine Ers fan, it's a great
example because they won back to back Super Bowls eighty nine,
ninety eighty eight, eighty nine, depending if you call out
the Super Bowl season or the season year. The first
time was the drive with Montana against the Bengals, John
(05:00):
tail or back of the end zone. The Niners win
on that final drive. Remember, oh, there's John Candy in
the stands. The next year they beat the Broncos fifty
five to ten. Yeah, I think you misunderstanding what I'm saying.
I'm going I'm not saying it's a better game, but
it's more enjoyable because there's less stress involved. I remember
being having fun when I'm pacing around the living room.
(05:20):
That all the fun, and then the dog's looking at you,
like what's going on here?
Speaker 1 (05:23):
Taking me up for a walk.
Speaker 2 (05:25):
I remember as a little boy, I'll admit this, I
was like almost crying in my room, thinking the Niners
are gonna love to the Beangles and then Montana doesn't drive.
I remember jumping around, like on my bed, like I
was in a hotel room, just jumping on the bed.
Speaker 3 (05:39):
Also on NFL Sundays, I know you're rich, you do
the same thing. Your places never look cleaning cleaner because
I stress clean during games. I'm like, oh that's dusty,
and I'm dusting and it's it's crazy.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
I alone in that My living room and kitchen look immaculate.
My the wood glimmer and shine on my kitchen table
from how many times I broke out the pledge.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
Come on, rock Berdie.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
It's really a question are these nail biers actually entertaining
if you're emotionally invested, if you're just a casual fan, yeah,
they're great games, so when you're on the losing end,
it ends up sucking. But I talked about it this
season with my met fran friends. I was like yeah, man, like,
what do you rather? You'd rather win the division by
fifteen games? When they're like, yes, yes, I agree. I
(06:24):
love the fighting nature of it, but if you come
out on the winning side of it, you know, I
don't know if that's fun when you're pacing around like
a lunatic. But hey, we'll keep you posted right now

(07:50):
I hope all your teams are winning. I hope you're
enjoying the postseason. Ghost season. And speaking of baseball, Rich,
I gotta just ask you one more time about the
close gamer blow. I'm not gonna go with you. You
different people. You're a high energy, high strung guy. I
like to chill. I was born with chill. You were
born with none. I want to relax and watch my
team blow him out and beat him and not be stressed.
(08:11):
I understand it's a better game when it's close, but
for me personally, I like to know that we have
it in the back. Yeah, but that's like, that's stressful, man.
That's I didn't yesterday and I was stressed out the
whole time. I didn't have fun watching that. But you know,
when you got hair hair, I lost calories. I ripped
(08:32):
a whole in my sock from just walking around so much.
Speaker 1 (08:34):
Who's your reliever? That looked like he was the most
excited men in the world. Who is that oose man cruise?
Speaker 2 (08:39):
When he comes off the mouth and he's like, ah,
like banging his chest, how are you not fired up yourself? Me?
Speaker 1 (08:45):
But only out of relief, not out of not out
of joy.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
So my point is, I like you could say, like
it's torturous, but I like watching my team almost play
from behind the times and catch up.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
Or I like, you probably like being tortured by women too.
It's a weird preference.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
I like, like, I like the game being you also
like being stomped on with women in high heels. My
thing not into that at all, by the way, But
if the game, if the game is two to two
and you're like, all right, we got this part of
the lineup coming up to me, that's like a good fun,
healthy stress. I hate games when your team is winning.
(09:24):
Let's say your team was winning twelve two. There's times
where you're almost rooting for your team to get out
so you can get the game moving along, like all right,
let's let's move this along, like all right, sixth inning,
Come on, you're more worried about, like all right, let's
just get.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
There, unless you have a bad bullpen. Then you're like
four more, four more runs.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
But like Danny, there was a point last night where
Dodgers fans had to be like, all right, let's let's
move this along, all right, pie Hayes or whoever's up
at the end of the line of just ground out
pie head.
Speaker 1 (09:53):
No it's Pothead, not Pothead. All right, come on, let's go.
I hear what you're saying. Part of you just wants
to get it over.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
You ever go you ever go to a game and
it's a blowout, and even in your favor, and you're
sort of like, all right, line up, like come on,
let's we don't need let's gotta be traffic.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
Come on.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
I'm just saying I love a close game, and I
was locked in to that Red Sox Yankees game.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
You also love a parade.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
People are different, But you know what I didn't liked
the Dodgers Reds game. Dodgers outmatch that bunk team. So
you know, once when they got that two run lead
in the first inning off of the ti Oscar a
little mishandle in right field, I was happy about that, Danny,
because I'm like, all right, at least now, like there's
a little excitement because I knew the Dodgers would somehow
put up at least five to ten.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
I don't I don't know why you would want to
watch a blowout if it's.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
A Sunday football. I'll turn a game off if like,
all right, the second because there's less stress involved, different
strokes for different folks.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
I get it.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
Like I said, I understand we're not gonna agree, but
you're not gonna convince me otherwise. I feel alive in
those moments, but I'm stressed out. I'd like to sit
back and you know what I felt like, remember that
old Adam Sandler bit and I throw back Thursday of
the nervous kid playing baseball like oh no, please don't
hate it to me, oh no, oh no, by the
excited Southerner every time every time the Yankees were on defense.
(11:11):
You know, when a new Pitcher took the mound. I'm
dying inside. I'm like, oh no, oh no, oh no. On
the Red Sox Aregon score, oh no. And then when
they're at bad I'm like, oh, yes, please score, run,
oh yes.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
Oh.
Speaker 2 (11:24):
That's the only really fight out is when they're playing offense.
Everything you're saying otherwise, I'm dying outside the whole time.
Everything you're saying makes sense. You just want your team
to win, and I get it and convincingly and easily, easily,
and my dumb theory only makes sense if your team wins.
I'm just saying, all your best memories in sports never
have to do it blowouts.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
I guarantee.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
Dan Buyer, who's a big Seahawks fan, one of his
favorite memories is definitely when Richard Sherman and Michael Crabtree
and you guys, you know the Niners are about to
go for the win and you guys won. That's a
game where you were probably pacing around your living room
or you might have even admit at that game, like
those are the moments.
Speaker 5 (11:59):
You live for as a sports fan, now, yeah, absolutely.
And then the next year when they were down by
the Packers and had that crazy comeback and then ended
up winning an overtime. That was another one compared to
when they blew out the Broncos in the Super Bowl
and it was over at halftime. There were absolutely different.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
Not to say you don't appreciate it, but when they
blew out the Broncos in the Super Bowl towards a
third quarter, weren't you sort of like, let's just move
the clock along and hoist the trophy.
Speaker 5 (12:24):
Soon this Percy Harvard around the kickback, You're like, all right, this.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
Is okay, let's get this in retrospect, right, And again,
it was your retrospect if your team is not in it.
By the way, the Tigers does not apply to you.
Tiger's up six to one, stealing my job, Rich, That's
all right. Tiger's up six to one, and this got
a little out of hand quick. So Cleveland has nine
outs left at home to try to make this a game.
But see, if you're a Detroit fan, yeah, of course
(12:49):
you want to pile on. You're like, oh, come on,
make an eight one. That's not as exciting. I'm not
locked into this game in my peripherals as much.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
Disagree.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
Yeah, because again you're a casual fan you're not a
fan of either one of those teams, so you want
to see a close game. If you root for that team,
you want them to win and not stress you.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
I could sum it.
Speaker 2 (13:08):
Up the difference between you and I know, but the
answers in the body language. If you're pacing around like
a maniac, your body language would imply you're not really
having fun. You're kind of stressed. But it's good stress.
It's fun stress. I get that. Do you remember what
it's It's not a joyous moment until the game's over,
and then I sit there and I think, man, that
(13:29):
was I don't know, man, because if they would have
lost last night, you feel like quitting the sport, like.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
I'm not watching ever again.
Speaker 2 (13:36):
Do you remember that forty nine Ers game in the
playoffs where they were completely outplayed in the snow in
Green Bay, but they somehow blocked a punt in the
fourth quarter scored a touchdown on the Niners one. If
you remember, Danny, I jumped in my pool that that
was like they started the tradition. That was the most Again,
convin I get what he's saying, like unenjoyable. Yet at
the end you're like, oh my god, you don't want
(13:56):
to be stressed out the whole time. But the difference
between Covino and I, which is probably the difference between
so many listeners and people checking us out right now,
you love to be tortured. I love a little torture. Well,
that's weird that in that I don't need clamps on
my nippi. I'm not saying I gotta clamp the nips.
But what I'm saying is if the Mets or one
of my teams is winning eleven to two, I'm actually
(14:20):
sometimes not watching it anymore.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
I'm like, all right.
Speaker 2 (14:21):
Also, I love that Cavino will Cavino will be a
dinner get this. This is my This is the way
the best sum it up. If we're dinner, Danny g
having some wings, guys night out. You know, we always
joke that Cavino has his phone out for every Yankees
game there is.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
Yeah, can't miss a minute. I respect that.
Speaker 2 (14:39):
But now, if to me, if the Yankees are winning
eight to one, I'm like, all right, they got this one,
I'm turning it off. Covina loves to watch the Pylon.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
Because they're my only joy. That's my only joy.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
If the Mets are up if the Mets are up big,
I turn it off. I'm like, hey, they got this one.
Speaker 1 (14:54):
That's weak.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
Bro, How did you even admit sports is kind of
like our version of a soap opera. We don't I
don't want to miss anything. Yeah, I feel like you're
left out. Yeah, you don't want to be left out
of anything that happens with your.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
I want them to build their confidence. Yeah, keep building
that confidence. Everyone, get involved in the party. Yeah, keep
getting RBIs, keep getting hits, Pile it on and then
take away the stress. Enjoy the victory. I have the
flip question and it we'll move on. So again, this
all stems from some of these games. Most of these
games have been nail biers, except for your Dodgers, Danny,
G Are you really enjoying them when your heart's on
(15:29):
the line the entire time? Well, they're tough to enjoy
because last night was very stressful. If they didn't win,
that was the last baseball game I watched for the season.
It's hard to relax in that moment. What's worse, buddy? Yeah,
And I'm up putting this out there in the universe,
but I sort of am. What would you be more upset?
(15:51):
By Red Sox win nine to one tonight or they
win to one in the Knife. The blowout would probably
upset me more because you know, I would at least
have the hope, the peace of mind, and the solace
of knowing that they.
Speaker 1 (16:08):
Were in the game and they battled. Yeah, you want
to scratch until the very end. Yeah, Like I don't
blow out like I say, you go out.
Speaker 2 (16:14):
I mean that's weak, but that's that's but the close
one you leave yourself in more what ifs though.
Speaker 1 (16:20):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
Man, me and you view these things differently, I guess,
And that's why it's a fun question for you. Fox
Sports Radio Nation eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox.
But the question only applies if your team's in it
and your heart's on the line, Because again, if if
it's not, then all you want you want to see
a close game.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
I could. I understand that.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
It's like it's like every game in the Super If
your team's not in the Super Bowl, you want to
see a good, competitive game.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
You don't want to see a blowout. So let me
ask you this.
Speaker 2 (16:45):
With the four wild card games, all yours already wrapped up.
D NYG Dodgers Phillies. What matchup do you like better
for the DS? Do you want it to be a
divisional Cubbies Brewers or do you want to see the
Padres Brewers?
Speaker 1 (17:01):
What do you think is more fun? Oh you're asking
Canda anyone.
Speaker 2 (17:05):
Padres Brewers or Cubby's Brewers. Oh that's a good one,
because that that game just started. That's in the first Sorry,
Dan Bayer, just let you. I'd like to see Padres
zero zero. I personally would like to see them. There's
a lot of star power in San Diego. I want
to see how these young brewers size up them and
as much.
Speaker 1 (17:24):
As uh in this moment, as much as.
Speaker 2 (17:26):
It might be fun to see you uh cry about
the Yankees, I think Yankees blue Jays being that they
did tie. Oh yeah, they both had the same exact record.
I think Yankees blue Jays would be a great divisional matchup.
What do you think about this? It looks like it's
Detroit Seattle and that's going to be a battle too.
I think this is we're we got some great playoffs, man.
I think what we'll agree on here Rich in this
(17:48):
weird debate we're having, and it's like, you know, how
do you enjoy the game. How do you feel about
these close matchups? Is you do get that sense of
feeling like alive, Like you're so in the moment, you're
so invested, you're so animated, you're so into it, and
that is the fun of sports.
Speaker 1 (18:07):
I get it.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
But man, it's it's uberly stressful. And I definitely lost
a lot of hair watching I could tell your hairline.
So I got sat on top man Mike and Cincinnati
hit us up and he said, guys, there's a rub here.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
He goes, wait until your kids get a little older.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
Rich when it comes to watching pros versus your kids,
when your kids are an important game.
Speaker 1 (18:27):
You want the blowout, you know, because he's like, you'll lose.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
You'll lose, as he said, years off your life watching
your kids in a really close.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
Compete in anything. Yeah, I agree. I know.
Speaker 5 (18:36):
There's been a lot of conversation. We were even talking yesterday
about not feeling fulfilled by a Red Sox Yankees three
game series. You know, like you just you want like
a seven sort of game series. However, in terms of
like how it like builds up and how it feeds out,
I'm not too mad at the three game series. Because
(18:56):
there's no guarantee we would get a seven game series
or even a five game series from them. But I'm
just curious from your guys perspectives, especially Cavino, like are
you are you mad that you had to face the
Red Sox or you just would you rather have faced
them in a seven game series since you like the
blowout not the close game.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
How do you feel.
Speaker 5 (19:15):
About facing your rival in a short sort of format
as opposed to a longer one.
Speaker 1 (19:19):
All right, look at it this way.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
It used to be a one game playoff, so looking
back at that, looking back at that, I get it.
But looking back and for years we had a one
game two wildcard teams played one wish it was a
five game series, though I do. I do wish it
was a little longer, But I know it's better than
it used to be, so I can't complain. The only
reason it can't be a five game is because then
you have these teams with bye they can't sit around
(19:42):
for a week, and then you're going to get to November.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
So yeah, it makes sense.
Speaker 3 (19:45):
I do like how they took the travel out of
it also.
Speaker 5 (19:48):
Yeah, and I think it's a significant advantage for the
home team to be able to get all three games
at I mean, the higher seeded team in those series.
But some fans were feeling not a filled because they
only get three games, could have only got two if
your Yankees didn't win last night series.
Speaker 2 (20:05):
They painted a big picture last night about how you
know me. I'm not a Yankees fan at all. The
Bronx looked popping last night. That stadium looked like I
haven't seen that excitement a Yankee stadium in quite a while.
It seemed like they were panting around the crowd. They
panted a little too much of this one dude in
the mustache like some random guy and kept pointing like
I didn't notice because I was. I was walking around
(20:27):
like a maniac. But this says like, can you sit down?
I'm like, no, I can't. The same way, the Dodgers
broadcast was obsessed with Jason Bateman.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
Oh that in the Service Dog? Like Queen enough of
Bateman in the Service Dog.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
The guy with the mustache was Austin Wells and he
had the game winning hit last night.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
Not that guy.
Speaker 2 (20:44):

(22:20):
and Rich.
Speaker 1 (22:23):
Different strokes to rule the world.
Speaker 2 (22:26):
I just saw one of those baseball stats where you're like,
no way.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
Give it to me, Dwayne stats, because there's always a
stat that amazes you. In the career.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
Battle between the Detroit Tigers and the Cleveland Indian Slash
Guardians today is the rubber match because until today those
two franchises are one thousand, one hundred and sixty seven
and one thousand, one hundred and sixty seven against each others.
(23:01):
So today it looks like Detroit wins the rubber match
after you know.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
Close to twenty five hundred games. So that's wild. That
is wild.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
Cavino and Rich live from the Fox Sports Radio studios.
Remember old school in fifty hits in about twenty minutes,
we throw it back and reminisce. We're gonna talk old
school cartoons. We'll explain later on. Plus, our Bonus podcast
debuts today, episode one eleven, and I'll tell you more
about it later on. So in the meantime, catch us
on our YouTube page, Covino and Rich FSR Iowa Sam
(23:31):
playing some sli in the family stone. That is signing
the family Stone, right, Sam.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
Absolutely, sir.
Speaker 4 (23:35):
And by the way, remember, like a long time ago,
I was like, di dude, Yankees fans ever say yank
D's and you're wearing the shirt yank ds.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
You know who made that shirt? Who store at cavino
on Rich dot com. All right, we mean still see
in our shirt. It was great about this shirt.
Speaker 1 (23:52):
I thought that was from Gronk's website. No, no, he
would make a shot like that. Yeah, yankedes man.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
It's great because if you love the Yankees, it works.
And if you hate the Yankees, oh it's awesome. So
available at Cavino Rich dot com. Yankees, let's go. And
if you just joined us, you know, Rich and I
approving without even trying how different we are. The guy
was born with no chill, so he loves a nail biter.
(24:18):
If your team's in a nail biter, it's almost hard
to say you enjoyed the game because the Yankees won yesterday.
But afterward, I'm thinking to myself, did I really enjoy that?
I felt relief afterward, But I'm like, I don't even
know if that was fun. That was so stressful. So
that's basically what we're wrapping up now. It's easy. You
(24:39):
know what you're You're right, though, we are cut from
a different cloth because he mind's leather, yours is like,
I don't know what yours is. Burlap, Yeah, bur lap
or something, some sort of burlap sack. I don't care
what money is, but yours is definitely leather, because you
think you're like the Mexican fonds where It is interesting though,
(24:59):
because in all aspects of life, I do like that
thrill of panic, a panic and uncertainty.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
It's terrible.
Speaker 2 (25:09):
For example, the Tigers are up six to one, right
Rich says, you see this game right here, Tigers Cleveland.
I'm bored by it already because of six to one.
I'm like, I get it because you don't care about
either team, but Detroit Tigers fans feel great about that.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
That's my point.
Speaker 2 (25:25):
You know, given more a rush, they would have more
of a rush if it was two us, not joy
that's panic, and I think you have like a misunderstanding
of what joyous feel feels like.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
I'm a rollercoaster guy. You're a teacup guy.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
I guess maybe, maybe, maybe maybe I'm a maybe I'm
a Peter Pan's flight kind of guy. Have you ever
you never went on Peter Pan's flight?
Speaker 1 (25:47):
Have you ever had a.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
How do I say this politely on Fox Sports? Have
you ever made love in a place where you could
get caught where you're.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
Like, no way, risk, adrenaline rush.
Speaker 2 (25:59):
I must love that, and you would think I'm a
skydiver something I'm not. I just feel like you you
like very little risk and you like very little excitement.
Like you seem like sort of a dud of a
guy's amaze say, he seems like a dud.
Speaker 1 (26:12):
You like to be titillated, rich, that's what you're like. Yeah,
he likes a nail bier. He likes he thinks that's fun.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
You know, you realize that it's called the nail bier
because you're nervous and you're panicky.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
The whole time.
Speaker 2 (26:22):
Biting your nails doesn't equal fun. I think you're you
were dropped on your head or something you're misunderstanding. Put
that helmet on, that's Strauss helmet, because that's not fun
until it's over and he won.
Speaker 4 (26:34):
I think you remember it fondly because of how stressful
it was. Like I think I think of certain football
wins for Iowa where they escaped and you're like, that
was amazing, but only after the fact.
Speaker 2 (26:43):
Here's the designing factor. What do you guys think? Hit
us up at Covino Enrich at Fox Sports Radio. We'll
wrap it up with one more phone call. All right,
have James in Orlando studio.
Speaker 1 (26:57):
What's up? What's up? Gentlemen show radio?
Speaker 3 (26:59):
Right?
Speaker 1 (27:00):
Thank you man? You guys, Yeah, first time in Yeah.
I mean I'm with Cabino on this one.
Speaker 5 (27:05):
I'm a Miami Hurricane, and let me tell you something.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
I'm all week.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
I've been stressing about this game coming up on Saturday,
and I am going to be wearing out the carpet
if it's a close game.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
No, for real, I'm going to be pacing.
Speaker 2 (27:18):
And I want to blow out.
Speaker 1 (27:19):
I blowout so I can't watch them kick ass. Yes, James.
Speaker 2 (27:25):
You know what you said, You wore out your carpet.
I don't have carpets, but you know what I have now.
I started off to night with a brand new pair
of gold toe socks. They were mint. By the end
of the night they were screen door socks on the bottom.
You know what I mean by screen door socks. They
already wore through A pair just sucks like the dirty
(27:46):
screens in my cousin vidio that the old lady couldn't
see through.
Speaker 1 (27:49):
You gave my girlfriend.
Speaker 2 (27:50):
You know, I have a theory on this too, because
girls don't burn through socks the way guys do.
Speaker 1 (27:56):
They don't it's heavier. Look at your.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
Wife and girlfriends socks, both of them, if you have
both both of their socks. They don't have this a
goomad look at hers dead. They don't have the screen
door troubles that we have. And my theory is this,
they don't panic about sports the way we do, and
they don't create as much friction as we do as
big fat slobs. They don't have that weight friction pacing
(28:19):
around watching a really tight fight or a tight.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
Game the way we do.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
Because my girlfriend hits me up, She's like aren't you
embarrassed wearing those things? I'm like, these are game day socks.
Have you ever watched a fight with Cavino? He's shadow
boxing like she's Tank Davis or something.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
Nerve.
Speaker 3 (28:35):
Nowadays, there are so many females who are huge sports
fans just like us. And I will say about my
better half, Baseball Dodgers is what stresses her out the most.
Speaker 1 (28:45):
But you're right, she stresses in a whole different way.
Speaker 3 (28:48):
I'm pacing and she rocks in her chair, like the
way you see Rich with his nervous energy. That's what
she'll do when you know Vessia comes in, she's rocking
like this.
Speaker 2 (28:57):
Can I tell my pep peeve about my wife because
I have very few because she's a good woman. My
wife has this stupid approach to.
Speaker 1 (29:03):
This poor boy. Somebody sent her this sound bite.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
My wife has the stupidest. My kids think stupid. It's
a curseword. It's so funny, dude, that's a stupid She
doesn't she doesn't want to watch big plays when her
team is playing like she like covers her and dips
in the kitchen like looking in the fridge like my wife.
My wife's a packers fan when they were playing Sunday
night against the Cowboys. During a big play, I'm like, babe,
(29:29):
it's third and one and she's in the kitchen and
she's like, I can't watch.
Speaker 1 (29:34):
You can't watch. It's you're gonna dip away for all
the big plays when he was Psycha.
Speaker 2 (29:38):
And you know what, we're gonna move on slightly. But
I had that same exact thought yesterday because I couldn't watch,
and I'm like, that's why they're in the big leagues though,
because they're able to slow it down and compose themselves
and they're more in control. When you're a fan, you're
not in control. If you've played sports, you know you're
in it. You're not nervous. But I was watching Anthony
Volpi in a pressure moment yesterday. I'm thinking, my goodness,
he's there in front of fifty five screaming fans, a
(30:02):
bunch of New York botchaka loops, millions watching all over
the place, and he's you know, he's in the moment. Meanwhile,
I can't even watch. So nerves are high, and that's
what makes it exciting. But I'm not sure if I
had fun watching last night. And that's the question, Well,
so we have to talk some NFL. No, there's so
(30:24):
much going on. There's even a fight rumor today, so
what I'm gonna save that fight rumor for over prime
So fights, football, baseball stress. But let's go to Dan
Bayer for an update. dB, what's doing? My friends?
Speaker 1 (30:36):
Guy's a lot doing?
Speaker 5 (30:37):

Game With meaning like it Was rams by like a
field goal because they. Were home then it went To rams, by, five,
Six seven now it's eight and. A half vegas is

The, week yeah you're nervous, about it but you think
about all the bright spots on, your team even if
there are positions where.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
Versa TRUE so, i MEAN like i look at it,
This way like a, week ago up until the, fourth
Quarter the saints Played the. BILLS tough i, get it
anyone could play. With anyone, but historically other than, you
know unfortunately maybe one or two, postseason games. It Mattered
kyle shanahan's schemes have sort Of owned. Sean McVay the
niners have played historically Well Under kyle shanahan Against.
Speaker 1 (36:26):
The rams so there is a part of.

yeah you're you're hurt and your whole team's. Not there
you're hoping to see. Some Magic mac jones has played admirably.
This year, in fact He's the niners quarterback that's undefeated,
so far right when you think, about it and he
