have lost last night. That was really the reason why
they know when you knew the Brewers were gonna win
that game, I'll be honest in the first inning when
the Cubbies went up three to zero in the top

of the inning, three run bomb, and they just responded
in the bottom of the first and I remember thinking myself, Yo,
there's this Brewers team, maybe like a team of destiny.
We've downplayed them because they're not New York or LA
or Chicago or Philadelphia. This Brewers team's got fight, they
got Gusta, they got balls. This team is fantastic.

And Misseerowski last night, where you wondered on how he
would be able to transition because he hadn't been good
at the end of the regular season, was lights out
and brought enormous energy.

Dude. When he took the ball on the comebacker told
the first basement, I got it, ran through first and
did like a Hulkamania flex like I was yo in
that moment, I'm like yo, this guy's awesome. He got
me as a fan last night, and it's wild that

on your team if the Mets don't keep him. Edwin Diaz,

guy is unbelievable. And as they said last night on

You know what, we should all root for a Yankees
Brewers World Series, so the Cavino every day would have

I do think it's a great story that I think
the rest of the world is catching up to right
now because they're like, who are these guys?

And you're not that far off like dB SI and
a guy like that. Nobody.

It's not that we knew and you didn't. No one
expected them to be this good. They're just a great
cast of characters and a great team all around. And
again he won seven to three. Less Cubs are up
to nothing. You know, when you do a deep dive
on a team, sometimes they could be football NBA when
you're like, yeah, let me learn this team more. I
actually did that with your Brewers maybe a month or
so ago. And another guy that I feel like he's

always showed up when he plays my team, and I
feel like Terrag is another guy that goes under the
red art second basement, who has eighty one RBI this year,
eighteen homers to eighty eight in today's game, it might
as well be Bett in three thirty.

Yeah, and any end of the season just absolutely on fire.
I can't remember for his August or September, but he was,
I mean, yeah, he was. He was white hot instead

Jaguars sword of Night, okay, But the reason I focused

on the Dodgers rich, and we're going to get to
the Chiefs. The Brewers, we already said it. Their chemistry
is undeniably good. They're just a great team with all
the elements of young energy mixed with some veteran players.
But you really don't know them except for like he
said Yelich last night, there was some criticism. We were
here partying celebrating Ron Parker, so a lot of us

were here back at the studio. Rob Parker had a
catered celebration last night here at Fox Sports Radio, celebrating
his press booth atsu at Fress Box, named after him
at his alma Maters. So we had a good time watching.
But there was a lot of speculation, not only on

the Chiefs, like what's the deal with the cheef. We're
gonna get to that, but the Dodgers, because a lot
of people were saying last night, Danny g that your
Dodgers and Dave Roberts especially deserve to lose that game.
In fact, they'll just play a clip ritch for you
to listen to NBC Sports Philly. Former pitcher for the Phillies,
Ricky Battalico was saying that Dave Roberts almost blew it.

Let's face it, Dave Roberts gave them a gift putting
in Blake trying it, Blake trying it has been awful
all season long.
Speaker 1 (13:35):
Phillies had a golden opportunity there in the night. They
couldn't come up big.

I would absolutely question what if I was a think
about being a Dodger fan, you would.

Have been going, Your mind would have been blowing up.

It was perfect for the Phillies.

He basically on a silver platter, said Hey, I'm gonna
throw this guy out there because I don't think you
guys are going to do anything.

Trannvesia and then finally Sasaki. Yeah, I mean we're kind
of sitting here surmising maybe something that's wrong with Sasaki
and then he gets up in the bullpen.

Yeah, you know what, Dave Roberts deserved to lose that game.

Well, Hayley at times will overcompensate for some mismatched play
like the Dodgers. I know enough about him just from
watching in Danny g every day we talked Dodgers off
the air. Even those two guys training and Vessia are
liabilities at times.

Yeah, why the hesitation though? Danny g for Sasaki there.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
Well Dave Roberts, and they were debating this at the
end of the broadcast as well, saying that Roberts had
said before the game that if he had a chance
to maybe give trying In some confidence going into the
rest of the postseason, he would do it. And there
we go again. We talked about this just a few
weeks back. Remember how I lost it when Roberts blew

a couple of those no hitters.

Said, dude, you're not a therapist. You're not there to
give guys confidence.

And is a close game to the time to play
games like that past season, that was the time to

Look, without being a hyper fan, you could argue that
he was trying to give Sasaki some time to rest.
He's coming off of surgery from last year, but he
had a day off, he hasn't thrown a lot of pitches,
and he's turning into their ace closer and then there
will be a day off tomorrow. So he was sitting
in a perfect pocket to bring him in but you

saw what happened right away. It was a four to
three game in the bottom of the ninth, and then
he had to go to Sasaki and it turned out
great with that. Of course, you saw the wheel play,
and then you saw Freeman save the game by stretching.

Out Tommy Edmund for you know, he had to when
something like that happens. When Edmund ground ball, weird, not
like a tough play for Freeman's to scoop like that
at for us, and he did it. So of course
Freddy continues to just start.

Because it looked like a routine throw at a first
base over thought it and on the TELECASTI he's like
he threw a lawn dart, and that's what it was.

You got to ask yourself after that game.

one yesterday. And you brought up that wheel play, and
there's some controversy there too. I don't know how you
want to spin it or look at it. But when

Bets called the play, but Dave Roberts took credit for
the play after the game.

It doesn't matter who comes up with the idea, whoever's
in charge takes credit for it. If you're in the
meeting and you come up with an idea, then your
boss is like, I got this great idea.

So I think we all saw Mookie Bets make that call,
or at least bring it up.

One thing I liked about Bets is he gave credit
to Roja. He said, playing with a great infielder like him,

we should always go with the wheel play.

And the boss is taking credit for your ideas. I'm

to see my boss get plaques dedicated to him based

in the prime of his career, trying to win another

We all remember what they did against the Bills in

That was the plan this time. And what happens. Hollywood
Brown gets hitting the helmet with the football because he's
not aware that it's coming his way. And Troy Aikman

even said on the broadcast that he probably could have
gotten around a midfield like those are the plays that
Pete Chiefs made, this version of the Chiefs, Chris Jones
not running around, Hollywood Brown getting hit in the helmet.
These are the plays that you aren't making in twenty

You know what the opposite of peak Chiefs is, right, buns,

world to tie it back to what we were saying

they will make those adjustments and they will be the
Chiefs that we know. Give it a few more weeks.
I think there's a what do you believe? I think
there's a you know, when the Packers acquired Micah Parsons,
or as Jerry Jones will say, Michael Parsons, the Vegas

odds gave them another game or so. I think the
difference between a Chiefs team that goes fifteen to two
or fourteen and three or thirteen and four versus a
team that goes maybe ten and seven, eleven and six
tries to sneak in at ten and seven, that's the
difference between these close games.

in the bottom of the first and I remember thinking myself, Yo,
there's this Brewers team, maybe like a team of destiny.
We've downplayed them because they're not New York or LA
or Chicago or Philadelphia. This Brewers team's got fight, they
got Gusta, they got balls. This team is fantastic.

And Misseerowski last night, where you wondered on how he
would be able to transition because he hadn't been good
at the end of the regular season, was lights out
and brought enormous energy.

guy is unbelievable. And as they said last night on

actually did that with your Brewers maybe a month or
so ago. And another guy that I feel like he's

always showed up when he plays my team, and I
feel like Terrag is another guy that goes under the
red art second basement, who has eighty one RBI this year,
eighteen homers to eighty eight in today's game, it might
as well be Bett in three thirty.

Jaguars sword of Night, okay, But the reason I focused

on the Dodgers rich, and we're going to get to
the Chiefs. The Brewers, we already said it. Their chemistry
is undeniably good. They're just a great team with all
the elements of young energy mixed with some veteran players.
But you really don't know them except for like he
said Yelich last night, there was some criticism. We were
here partying celebrating Ron Parker, so a lot of us

were here back at the studio. Rob Parker had a
catered celebration last night here at Fox Sports Radio, celebrating
his press booth atsu at Fress Box, named after him
at his alma Maters. So we had a good time watching.
But there was a lot of speculation, not only on

the Chiefs, like what's the deal with the cheef. We're
gonna get to that, but the Dodgers, because a lot
of people were saying last night, Danny g that your
Dodgers and Dave Roberts especially deserve to lose that game.
In fact, they'll just play a clip ritch for you
to listen to NBC Sports Philly. Former pitcher for the Phillies,
Ricky Battalico was saying that Dave Roberts almost blew it.

Let's face it, Dave Roberts gave them a gift putting
in Blake trying it, Blake trying it has been awful
all season long.
Speaker 1 (13:35):
Phillies had a golden opportunity there in the night. They
couldn't come up big.
Speaker 6 (13:39):
I would absolutely question what if I was a think
about being a Dodger fan, you would.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
Have been going, Your mind would have been blowing up.

It was perfect for the Phillies.

He basically on a silver platter, said Hey, I'm gonna
throw this guy out there because I don't think you
guys are going to do anything.

Trannvesia and then finally Sasaki. Yeah, I mean we're kind
of sitting here surmising maybe something that's wrong with Sasaki
and then he gets up in the bullpen.

Yeah, you know what, Dave Roberts deserved to lose that game.

Well, Hayley at times will overcompensate for some mismatched play
like the Dodgers. I know enough about him just from
watching in Danny g every day we talked Dodgers off
the air. Even those two guys training and Vessia are
liabilities at times.

Yeah, why the hesitation though? Danny g for Sasaki there.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
Well Dave Roberts, and they were debating this at the
end of the broadcast as well, saying that Roberts had
said before the game that if he had a chance
to maybe give trying In some confidence going into the
rest of the postseason, he would do it. And there
we go again. We talked about this just a few
weeks back. Remember how I lost it when Roberts blew

a couple of those no hitters.

Said, dude, you're not a therapist. You're not there to
give guys confidence.

And is a close game to the time to play
games like that past season, that was the time to
try things out.

Look, without being a hyper fan, you could argue that
he was trying to give Sasaki some time to rest.
He's coming off of surgery from last year, but he
had a day off, he hasn't thrown a lot of pitches,
and he's turning into their ace closer and then there
will be a day off tomorrow. So he was sitting
in a perfect pocket to bring him in but you

saw what happened right away. It was a four to
three game in the bottom of the ninth, and then
he had to go to Sasaki and it turned out
great with that. Of course, you saw the wheel play,
and then you saw Freeman save the game by stretching.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Out Tommy Edmund for you know, he had to when
something like that happens. When Edmund ground ball, weird, not
like a tough play for Freeman's to scoop like that
at for us, and he did it. So of course
Freddy continues to just start.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
Because it looked like a routine throw at a first
base over thought it and on the TELECASTI he's like
he threw a lawn dart, and that's what it was.

You got to ask yourself after that game.

Tommy's got to go up to Freddie and be like, yeah, man,
you'll honestly dinner, drinks whatever on me.

It was a close game, so they got away with
one yesterday. And you brought up that wheel play, and
there's some controversy there too. I don't know how you
want to spin it or look at it. But when
he got together at the mound. The story was Mookie
Bets called the play, but Dave Roberts took credit for
the play after the game.

Is that how just life works.

It doesn't matter who comes up with the idea, whoever's
in charge takes credit for it. If you're in the
meeting and you come up with an idea, then your
boss is like, I got this great idea.

So I think we all saw Mookie Bets make that call,
or at least bring it up.

credit for her, and that's just how it is.

One thing I liked about Bets is he gave credit
to Roja. He said, playing with a great infielder like him,
he's taught me when to call plays like that. And
he said, Rojas taught me in a must win situation,
we should always go with the wheel play.

Got so many examples of that just from real life.
And the boss is taking credit for your ideas. I'm
sure it's happened. To you and your radio career, Danny
g anyone's career, anyone's career, and we saw that last night.
And in every movie is that like the plotlund every movie,
like someone's boss takes the credit for their I used
to see my boss get plaques dedicated to him based

on some of my ideas. Some of your songs were
like you got to play the song and then it
becomes a you know, a platinum record.

Friend of mine at Power one on six he watched
big Boy get a Rolex watch from Doctor Dre and
he was the one who put the record into rotation, right,
and he just had to live with it. He's like, oh, man,

saw him leap and make the out there.

to be so important Otherwise it's a tie game. But
fans of other teams will tell you the execution by
Max Munsey and Mookie Betts was perfect. That the likelihood
of that play not working out as perfect like Monthy
charge fielded it cleanly, didn't hesitate, turned around, immediately fired

off a strike while Mookie's athoughticism like quickly straddled the
bag like everything about that play was textbook. If you
were given a baseball seminar, if you were coach ballgame,
you'd be it really was a masterclass. And that's how

and there's still a team, a dangerous team that are
gonna make those adjustments. I mean, I think there could

It was a really a good little pregame like interview

showing his signs of magic. You have to assume that
they're gonna turn it around or maybe not.

that stood out to me the most was the drive
that the Chiefs had at the end of the game.
We all remember what they did against the Bills in
the playoff game to Tyreek Hill to Kelsey, bring Butker out.
That was the plan this time. And what happens. Hollywood
Brown gets hitting the helmet with the football because he's
not aware that it's coming his way. And Troy Aikman

even said on the broadcast that he probably could have
gotten around a midfield like those are the plays that
Pete Chiefs made, this version of the Chiefs, Chris Jones
not running around, Hollywood Brown getting hit in the helmet.
These are the plays that you aren't making in twenty
twenty five.

You know what the opposite of peak Chiefs is, right, buns,
chiefs cheeks, cheeks, Chiefs cheeks.

And so how do you view it because in a
world to tie it back to what we were saying
before about AI where you don't know what to believe, right,
you do hear a lot of people. I mean, believe
your own eyes and make your own assessment. Yeah, but

and the Chiefs have lost it and Kelsey's not the
same Kelsey that he was. And then on the flip side,

of young players making a lot of young stupid mistakes.
And with Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes and the veteran leadership,
they will make those adjustments and they will be the
Chiefs that we know. Give it a few more weeks.
I think there's a what do you believe? I think
there's a you know, when the Packers acquired Micah Parsons,
or as Jerry Jones will say, Michael Parsons, the Vegas

odds gave them another game or so. I think the
difference between a Chiefs team that goes fifteen to two
or fourteen and three or thirteen and four versus a
team that goes maybe ten and seven, eleven and six
tries to sneak in at ten and seven, that's the
difference between these close games.

We spent years, in years watching the Chiefs win every
one of those close games, and now those close games
are bouncing the other way, which doesn't mean they're bad,
It just means they're not getting it. And it did

The Chiefs could have had a tough loss, but a

good loss because they could correct some of these mistakes,

a trade with the Browns. Cleveland gets a fifth round pick,
Bengals get Flacco and a sixth rounder. Cincinnati released quarterback

had ten sacks last season. As part of the deal,
the Chargers sends safety Olahai Gilman and a fifth rounder
to Baltimore. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones find two hundred and
fifty thousand dollars for making an obscene gesture towards fans
during Sunday's winning New Jersey against the Jets. Reports are
that he's going to appeal the fine. He has until
Friday to do so, and ESPN reported earlier today. Bucks

forward Jannison Tetokumpo told the team he'd be willing to
be dealt to the Knicks this past summer, and the
Bucks and Knicks did have some conversations in August, but
never amounted to anything.
