Here's ca holiday shees hondday Sheky Cavino and Rich, Fox
Sports Radio. Hope you had a Steelers sort of Monday night? Yeah, money,
hope you woke up feeling spry like Aaron Rodgers two
hundred and twenty four yards. I bed too, Tuddies. He's

(00:45):
the oldest looking forty one year old I've ever seen,
but props to him. Man nice radio yesterday to kuote
the Sandman and the Honoka song. Not too shabby, not
too shabby at all. But come on, keep it real,
don't get all crazy on the Steelers, the Dolphins, who
can and we be rocking out.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Let's go. We're gonna get.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
To a lot of NFL today, Rogers, what could possibly
win a Super Bowl this year? Just based simply on
everyone else being injured? Because injuries are playing such a
major role in this NFL season. And that's not saying
the NFL seasons bad. In fact, it's one of the
most exciting NFL seasons in recent times. It's just a
matter of are some teams being given a window simply

(01:29):
based on their health? Yeah, healthless wealth, but health is
wealth is also more monumental than ever before when you
take a look around the league. So we'll talk about NFL.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
I have a.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
A Fight Night etiquette question and also a Christmas Present
etiquette questions.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
A couple of questions of etiquette.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Today, since well it is the holiday and you know,
nothing says etiquette like Steve Cavino. Yeah, we got all
the answers here Fox Sports Radio. So we also have
prizes to give away perfect stocking stuffer. We're gonna do
some Whack Diesel Shack Diesel multiple choice trivia. We do
that on Tuesdays, giving away nerve footballs. But first and first,

(02:13):
mostly I hope you're having a great Tuesday holiday season.
Let's welcome super producer Danny J. Danny G's on the
phones eight seventy seven ninety nine on Fox. And of
course we're all at Covino and Rich on social media.
Iowa Samuel du Sami. I love that Sam. Where's his
curly little elf shoes around the holidays? That's adorable, so festive.

(02:34):
I love that you get into the spirit. Thank you
spot on the video. You could see what you hear,
Watch what you hear. It's necessary for Sam to sit
on Danny G's laugh up.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
That is weird.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
I don't think that's necessary. But hey, we got Dan
Bayer here. We're gonna have a lot of fun. We're
gonna dive right into health as weal NFL season.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Here we are, week sixteen.

Speaker 2 (02:53):
Yeah, I think more than ever rich, more than ever
you could noticeably see now. Health is the biggest part
of a successful team in the NFL this season. It's
so important to getting ahead if you have your health
more than ever before. Health is always a priority, but
more than ever before. That's what's opening the window the

(03:17):
widest for you this NFL season because of the significant
injuries that we're seeing. So in other words, if you
have the healthiest squad out there, you have the greatest
chances to win. And who does that benefit the most?
I think I have the number one answer on the board.
We've always seen health play a factor in sports, but
for some reason, there's certain teams you look at and

(03:39):
I said to you know, Mike.

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Who runs this place? Yeah, I said, look at my
forty nine ers. Who they forty nine ers? They win out? Oh, Mike, Yeah, Mike.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
If this team wins out and Dan Buyer Seahawks take
care of the Rams this Thursday, the Niners.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Could be the one seed.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Niners is a good answer. But I think there's a
a better answer as far as who health benefits. I'm
saying that benefits. I'm saying you could do all the
what ifs of Imagine this Niners team who's somehow hanging
in there. Imagine Bosa and Fred Warner hadn't been injured.
This team would be a super Bowl favorite. But then
Mike said, if Butson, what do you say here? If

(04:21):
if some butts were candy and nuts, we'd all have
a merry Christmas. We'd all be having a feast. And
then he said, then he also said, if my uncle
had if my aunt had nuts, you'd be my aunt
my uncle aunt had Anyway. Yeah, but that's what I
don't like about your yeah Rich's theories, Lane, though, I
think you know, hey, imagine if Bosa didn't get hurt,

(04:42):
you could say that about almost every team in the NFL.
I'm just saying there's some that benefit more and it's
shocking that some are hanging in there. But I think
the guy that I look through the glass at every day,
the best update guy on planet Earth, Dan Buyer, Seahawks
knock on what if they stay healthy? There are team
that could surprise everyone. And I'm not saying they're not

(05:02):
the best. It just key players are in the lineup
they are playing. So many other teams have notable dudes,
like the Packers. Everyone was so high in the Packers.
Did you see the injury list they came out of
last game on the Green Bay Packers. I mean not
only the last game, it's entirely. It's like as long
as like Santa's list.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
It's ridiculous. What's up team?

Speaker 3 (05:22):
The weekend was flooded with injuries, so they lost Michael Parsons.
We know Josh Jacobs has been dealing with a sore
knee kind of popped up again after the Bears win
two weeks ago. He didn't practice much last week but
still ended up playing. Christian Watson was seen on the turf.

Speaker 2 (05:37):
Yeah, I mean, I mean key playing your team you know,
has stayed relatively healthy, and they're so under the radar
that the Seahawks could end up being the one seed
and have everything go through the Pacific Northwest and it
would be like, wait a minute, what the Seahawks.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
I don't want to put anything out into the universe,
but I think that another key thing about the Seahawks
is there are players who are better than others on defense,
but they went through they had some injuries in the
secondary this year. Now that maybe normal stuff. I think
is as saying everybody deals with injuries, which I totally agree,
but they're so based their defense is such a team

(06:19):
effort sort of thing that they can absorb some of
the losses. Like Ernest Jones missed a couple of games,
but that wasn't necessarily missing. Maybe it's different on the
offensive side of the ball. We talked about Charles cross
but the left tackle maybe being in jeopardy of missing
Thursday's game. But I think for the way that their
team is constructed that they're able to maybe navigate if

(06:39):
they were to miss certain pieces.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
So basically what we're saying is, yeah, ifs and butts,
if you get butts were candy and nuts, we'd all
be having a feast. This is the most evident season
where health is wealth, where the healthiest team is the
wealthiest team. Whoever has the most health heading into the
playoffs probably has the greater advantage, I mean.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
More visible, more noticeable than ever before.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Just the phrase health as wealth is something you hear
a lot. But I'll be honest, the miny you turn
forty in life, but especially this season in the end,
if many you turn forty, you look around at your parents,
your friends, people, you know.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
As we all get older, oh we take it for granted.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
You realize when you're twenty something you feel like an
invincible little jerk. To be honest, like you were walking around.
You're walking around like nothing could go wrong. You hit
your forties, you know, mortality and thoughts and injuries and
all these things are more visibly in your face. And
in sports this year, I feel like NBA you're seeing it.
But the NFL this season, my goodness.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
Yep, the healthiest is the wealthiest. I could be.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
One of the most key elements of this Thursday's crucial
Seahawks Rams game is hey, is DeVante Adams gonna play?

Speaker 1 (07:46):
So you could play all the what ifs If you
want rich right, all the what ifs.

Speaker 2 (07:49):
Well what if so what if Mahome's had a you know,
a better season and better protection? The thing is desert.
Those are what ifs based on like if they did better.
There are teams that injuries, like the Buffalo Bills. Well,
I'm glad you said them, because pause they by far.
I know you're gonna say you're niners. You could say
Dan Seahawks. I think by far, it's the Bills that

(08:12):
benefit the most. You got the Bengals. Joe Burrow's been
banged up all year. So count out the Bengals, count
out the Chiefs. The Ravens stink, the Steelers are average.
This is the Bills window to finally do it. This
is their season and this is their chance to win.
And if they don't, then they're the weakest sly oh,
this is the Bill's greatest opportunity to benefit on healthiest,

(08:34):
being the wealthiest, and cashing in on a relatively healthy
team led by Josh Allen, even though he was barfing
at the end of the game this past game. Based
on the fact that the Chiefs have dealt with injuries,
the Bengals have dealt with injuries. The Steelers are good,
but I'm not buying that hype their average and the
Ravens are asked the Bills have to win. This is

(08:54):
their season to capitalize on all the unhealthy teams that
are falling short in twenty twenty five.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
I would also say that your guy's argument, which I
think is a is a very fair argument, is highlighted
by two players who have not been injured this year
that we expected. And one is Christian McCaffrey, who has
been magnificent this season, like he has been the rock
for the forty.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Nine knock on what people thought he'll never be the same. Yeah,
and he's gonna arguably have a thousand yard rushing thousand
yard receiving season. Yes, I think that that is a
key part. And then the other one is the guy
that we weren't sure if he was going to play
Week one and now he's your MVP, and that's Matthew Stafford.
So for like I would have, I would have been
one hundred dollars that Matthew Stafford was gonna least miss

(09:42):
a game this year at some point.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
Oh yeah, remember the Rams didn't even really want him back.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
My grandfathers to say, I'll bet your dollars to donuts
whatever that means. Yeah, but I bet you dollars to
donuts and he'll get injured. McCaffrey and Stafford clean slate
knock on way right. Yes, And the season's not over.
So I don't want to put the gym boozy on
anyone because I never want to root for injuries. But
if you think injuries are done, there's still three plus
weeks of NFL football, So God forbid something else happens.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
We didn't know if Stafford was going to play week one,
week two, or week three or whatever, because remember that
were they were kind of in limbo. They weren't saying
about what he was gonna do, and so then you're
expecting the worst. And then he's just gone out there
and is now minus two fifty to win the MVP.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
And when you think about and I was saying, my Niners,
and it's an interesting thought because the Niners lost two
of the best players on their whole team, Nick Bosa
and Fred Warner. What I was saying is when they
lost those guys, it was like season's over. But then
they somehow stayed afloat. And you watch other teams around
the league losing key guys as well, So it's almost,

(10:44):
dare I say, starting to become a push, well if
healthiest as well. You know, I'm just trying to make
sense of this conversation. AFC is open for the taking,
and I think the Bills have to take it and
capitalize on this theory. Right as far as the NFC rich,
you and your forty nine ers and Dan and the
Seahawks have to battle it out. I think that game,

(11:07):
which damnpire, that's the one day the forty nine ers
are going to wear those black uniforms, those ones that
we thought were some thought were hitting us, some thought
were cool. They're rocking those week eighteen, and people said,
what would they wear them? Then it might be a
meaningless game. Meaningless game that could be for all the
tostitos as you say, Comno, that could be for all
the marbles, forty nine or Seahawks. If your team wins

(11:30):
on Thursday against the Rams that Week eighteen matchup, they
could be multiple Week eighteen matchups that are like playoff games.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
Yeah, Steelers, Ravens. There's even you know, highlighted last night
of what all could happens Panthers. Yeah, a lot of
different things that could happen to allow that. But you know,
to Covino's point about the Bills in Josh Allen, I
thought it was that way at the start of the season,
even before the injuries kind of came in, because the
Chiefs got off to that zero to two start, the
Ravens weren't winning, and then they lost to the Chiefs

(11:59):
with Lamar Jackson having his injury. And at the time, guys,
it was the Colts. We were saying, yeah, Buffalo could
go to Indianapolis and win a game. Now look at
what injuries have done to the Indianapolis Colts that they
have to bring in Philip Rivers to be their starting quarterback.
And it wasn't just the season ender with Daniel Jones,
it was the fracture in his leg prior to that

(12:20):
that was an issue for them in having such a
great start to the season and then them kind of
scaling back and now being on the outside looking in. CJ.
Stroud was knocked out for the Texans. Now he's back in,
so that's good fortune for them. Yeah, and now they're
making a push for the top of the spot in
the AFC South.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
I like how you use the term good fortune, and yeah,
the Texans could be right in that mix too with
their defense, and we see J. Stroud is playing good
fortune because I saw this in a meme one time, rich,
so it has to be true.

Speaker 1 (12:49):
Of course.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
I think the Chinese symbol for crisis is the same
as opportunity. Well, you see that a lot with the
stock market a lot of times because there's a lot
of Reverend, there's a lot of red people are panicking.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
I'm buying.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
When there's crisis in life, there's often opportunity and the
same things applying here with the NFL, with all the injury,
with all the crisis, for these other teams, this is
great opportunity. Who benefits the most is really the question.
And Dan Byron mentioned a good fortune of having CJ.
Stroud back and healthy and they're playing well. Yeah, I

(13:24):
think the Texans benefit, But I truly believe it's either
in the NFC you're forty nine ers or the Seahawks
and the Bills in the AFC, those are the teams
that benefit the most because they have the greatest opportunity
based on the crisis of injury that the other teams
are dealing with Yeah, I'm looking at our feedback. Someone

(13:46):
called me Niner boy. You are nin Er boy, but
the Niners are so agree with is Rich saying that, Hey, man,
imagine if Bosa and you know they have all because
you could say that for every team.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
Most teams are dealing with injury and maignificant injuries.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
For me, because by the way, I mean yesterday, I
just this passed week and alone for the Packers, we
talked about all the injury. But what I'm saying is
the Niners are a team that lost two megastars, two
Pro Bowlers every year and you thought, well, they're still playing. Well,
my team's lost big players and they stink they're done.
So I'm saying, like, it is interesting, like if that

(14:22):
hadn't happened, the Niners might be like dominating everyone.

Speaker 3 (14:25):
I think that you look at Nick Bosa and I
just at some point he was going to get hurt. Yeah,
I don't think Fred Warner's that case. Like I think
the Fred Warner one is the one where you're like, oh,
what could have been? But the way that honestly, the
way George Kittle missed the first five six games of
the year for the forty nine ers. Was that a shock, right, Like, No,
it wasn't because George Kittle not And I'm not saying

(14:46):
that these injury prona gets hurt all the time the
way that these.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
Guys, he's a little reckless and he's getting older.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
Yes, yes, like it's been injured life. It's going to
happen like it's and so it happened to Kittle early,
it happened to Nick Bosa, the Warner one.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
I don't think that you can expect.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
But then, and that goes back to Christian McCaffrey and saying, man,
this guy is touting the rock as well as he
ever has in his career at this age.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
I personally just don't like ifs and butts. I like butts,
but I don't like ifs and butts when we're talking
about health.

Speaker 1 (15:13):
In the NFL.

Speaker 2 (15:14):
It's just part of the right. Like you can't predict that.
You almost have to assume that someone's gonna get hurt.
Gold could take Niner boys. What's up in some alternate
universe universe where your forty nine er coaches didn't do
such a great job coaching this team back up? I
wish your record was actually four and nine. So I

(15:34):
can call you the San Francisco four and Niners. That
could been the you're winning winning, thank you, thank you
so good with your thoughts, ifs and butts.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
Four and niners come on. And then Dan had the
forty whiners, Right, was that a couple of weeks. That's
like the Seahawks get sea chickens. Yeah, because the chicken
is not as ferocious as so you see sea chickens.

Speaker 2 (15:58):
And we get complaining, and you know what we're really
rich is that healthiest is the wealthiest in life. In life,
we need to view things from that perspective a little more. Right,
as long as everybody is healthy, we're all doing great.
Is the wealthiest because people love to complain, Like you said,
complain owen, bitch, but we're not actually in the NFL

(16:20):
more than ever before. The healthiest is the wealthiest. You
ever touch to your parents. I talk to my mom today.
She's like, oh, my legs are sore. I'm like, Mom,
do you stretch? Do you like do any cardio? I'll
take a walk around the neighborhood. Oh I should, I
think like everyone's parents are on the I should bandwagon,
Like your dad's looking great now? But how many years
were your dad just like taking trash care of himself.
You always say that like you lived on a diet

(16:41):
of pretzels and coffee. He still needs to stretch though, like.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
Our parents, like, eh, my knees hurt? You like you
are you active? No? Do you do you drink enough water?
Who wants water? You know?

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Health is wealth? And I want to point out one
thing less I brought up. The angels is not the
word to describe him playing well, but does not look angels.
Aaron Rodgers, that was a huge win last night. I
don't think we have I liked his victory yesterday. I
love him pounding around with Zach Wilson. Dude, I totally
forgot about Zach Wilson for a minute. I saw him

(17:17):
at the time game exactly. Do you remember his mom?
Do you remember his mom more than him? Uh No,
But he's a guy we talked about a lot, and
I'm like, oh, yeah, that's right. He's on the Dolphins.
Forgot about that.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
Still gamefully employed.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
Yeah, all props to him. But Aaron pound around because
they're pouncing their jet stays. Aaron Rodgers winning that game
last night meant that they have slight wiggle room headed
into week eighteen.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Let me let me Sam schedule watching place. Thank you.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
Rich loves to look at the schedule, game schedule watching.
By the way, you always talk about this wiggle room.
Is that by Mike's office somewhere? Oh no, that's in
our new contract. We're getting a wiggle room. Where is
this wiggle room.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
You always talk about? Right next to the champagne room.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
Oh so a little bit. The Steelers' schedule for the
remaining three games. Let's forget Week eighteen because that's a
head to head against the Ravens. They play at the Lions,
and the Lions are fighting for their dear life. It
looks like the Lions are out, but you know they're
not going to give up. So let's say the Steelers
lose to the Lions. They're eight and seven. They beat

(18:25):
the Browns, they're nine and seven, So they go into
that final week against the Ravens at nine and seven.
The Ravens, however, they play the Patriots and the Packers.
If they lose both of those games, week eighteen doesn't matter.
So the Ravens are The Ravens are playing desperate every
game for the Baltimore Ravens moving forward is desperation mode.

Speaker 1 (18:49):
And you could have dropped.

Speaker 2 (18:50):
You could have dropped both of those games and hope
that the Steelers lost the one game against the Lions
and still been a live.

Speaker 1 (18:57):
For Week eighteen.

Speaker 2 (18:57):
But if you're the Ravens, and you're a Ravens, you
better be saying a couple extra Hill Mayors and al
Fathers tonight, because it looks very daunting. Their final games
are against the Patriots, the Packers, and then they got
to play the Steelers for the division if it even
matters at that point.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
And I don't know if it's going to matter if
those teams get into the playoffs like that, And that's
the other like to get in for what yeah, right
like and I hate to think like that, But when
you are talking about these two teams with it Aaron
Rodgers and the Steelers in their history and the Ravens
being so close the past couple of years just making
it to the playoffs and bowing out early, is which

(19:35):
I think that there are five or six teams that
would beat those teams.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
I could agree with you more, Dan Byer.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
Everyone was raving about that victory last night, and how
good Aaron Rodgers elected how well they played against the Dolphins,
And I'm thinking to myself the whole time, like, I
get it. You have to talk about it. The game
just played out and we're watching it. This is the
focus of conversation here. But does anyone really buy into
them winning anything? I don't not at all.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
No.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
If I you know, if it happened, would I be
mad about it? No, not at all. I'd be a
cool story. But I mean, in the beginning, I'll see
that at all. Let's let's rewind you've ridden not let's
go back to August. By the way, that was not
that was me doing that. It's pretty good.

Speaker 1 (20:25):
I think we all agreed.

Speaker 2 (20:28):
That if Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers won one playoff game,
you said, I believe Steve Kabino, you said, that would
be the barometer of success. Like if Aaron Rodgers came back,
took this Steelers team to the playoffs, but then won
a playoff game and made it to the divisional round,
you said.

Speaker 1 (20:44):
Hey, he's already shown me he had more than I
thought he did.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
So I remember you saying that that would be sort
of your gauge, like you can't no one expected the
Steelers to really do much. But I remember clearly you saying, dude,
if he wins one playoff game for the Steelers, that
that shows it, like, yo, he still has got enough
juice and it doesn't hurt his legacy, and you know,
he's showing that he's still a winner.

Speaker 3 (21:06):
And that would be the first playoff win for the
Steelers in like nine seasons, if I'm not wrong.

Speaker 1 (21:10):
Which would show of all winning seasons by Tomlin.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
Yeah, yeah, they haven't had they haven't won a playoff
game in like almost a decade.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
That would be a great I don't want to say
send off, but i'd say a great comeback for Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
Man. It's gonna be a wild postseason. I can't wait.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
I'm I'm salivating at the next few weeks and we're
gonna go over all the games that mean a lot
this weekend coming up in a little bit, plus again tonight,
something else is going on in the world of sports
that I don't think anyone cares about even a little.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
We'll get to that.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
If you don't know what I'm talking about, hang tight,
you're gonna be like, wait, what's going on tonight? We'll

Speaker 1 (23:38):
Well? We could sum it up by saying, the healthiest
is the wealthiest.

Speaker 4 (23:42):
Bro.

Speaker 1 (23:42):
That's really it. What is this? This is what Qua
City DJ's Christmas special? Oh you know what it was?

Speaker 2 (23:50):
I thought it was the same artists. Remember that club song,
Danny when you were DJing from the clubs.

Speaker 1 (23:54):
Shake that ass. Let mis see what you got. Remember
that's all.

Speaker 2 (24:00):
You know.

Speaker 1 (24:00):
Quad City DJs of.

Speaker 2 (24:01):
Course, come on ride the train, Yeah, and ride it well.
Iowa Sam is playing all the Christmas classics. He's on
the ones and twos. He's our sound architect. We got
Danny g super produced, and we got the best holiday
team here spots on the Videosino and Rich FSR speaking
of music and sound architects. Snoop Dogg gonna be doing
the halftime show at the Christmas Day game for the NFL.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
Can't wait, which is pretty cool. Listen, the NFL has.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
Been slaying it with the halftime shows, right you had
did you say slaying it because it's a holiday show?

Speaker 1 (24:32):
Ho ho ho?

Speaker 2 (24:33):
And Dan Byer's got your updates about Jack in about
eight nine minutes, Jack White and M and M post
Malone now Snoop Dogg and then bet money for the
halftime show at the Super Bowl. So you're you're gonna
get all the different genres over those three big days, right, Christmas, Thanksgiving,
super Bowl Sunday. Well again, healthiest is the wealthiest in life,

(24:53):
but more so than ever, just keep saying it's any
twenty twenty five NFL football season. I will keep saying
because every time I do you interrupt me? Healthiest is
the wealthiest in the NFL, and I'm saying it's got
to be the Bills Seahawks. The teams that stay the

(25:14):
healthiest will be the wealthiest when it comes to winnings.
Right now, we're winning live from the Fox Sports Radio studio.
Every Olympic dream starts with the first glide. Do you
remember your first glide? I think mine was across the
kitchen floor. Mom used to fabuloso that day, and you
could do that again. Through learn to Skate USA, kids

dot com. I'd have to correct the health the forty
nine er thing because I never said they stayed healthy.
My point was the fact that they've stayed afloat and
now other teams have matched their level of hurt.

Speaker 1 (25:56):
I never said they stayed healthy either.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
What I'm saying is they can capitalize on these other
teams that are suffering. But when the forty nine ers
stayed afloat after those injuries, and Kyle Shanahan somehow found
a way for this team to win. Yeah, they put
themselves in a position where like it's almost like yeah,
but you know what it's like, Rich, you were so
hurt at a disadvantage and then everyone slowly and surely
around you. But you had so many star players that

(26:18):
if you went down, you still had more star players.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
Yeh, gotcha. So you benefited from having a stacked team,
but the stars.

Speaker 2 (26:24):
But a team like the Seahawks or the Bills, I
think of the two that stand out to me. And
there's a few AFC teams like the Texans that have
gotten healthy and looking good right now.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
So we'll see, we shall see.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
Hey, and if the Steelers, who had a great game
last night, but again I look at it like against
the Dolphins, if they can keep moving forward with that momentum.
I'm not hating, I'm just stating what's up.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
dB.

Speaker 3 (26:48):
The one thing that I would say is you could
say that the Bills lost their best defensive player in
Ed Oliver, but everything rides so much on Josh Allen
that it's just Josh Allen's healthy.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
I'm looking at some of our feedback, someone actually agreeing
with you on that sentiment that Josh Allen's just such
a game game decider. Just how he shows up, it
sort of sets the whole tone of the game.

Speaker 3 (27:13):
Yeah, and if they don't have him, they don't have
a chance.

Speaker 2 (27:15):
Yeah, blind guy creations say how to him? Tammy balanced
to Esteban, Joey elbows, everyone chiming in on the Inho chat.
Some of them I can't repeat, but I do want
to say that. Mikey seventeen forty eight said, I don't
know what you guys are talking about. My Bears have
the most games missed with injured players this season, and
look at them. The Ben Johnson effect is real?

Speaker 1 (27:36):
Is that true? Are they the most injured team? Mike?
I don't think your word for it.

Speaker 3 (27:39):
It Maybe there was no practice today for Roma Dunzeer
Luther Burden, so those wide receivers were out of dudn't
say missed their game against the Browns, but could very
well be. But Caleb Williams has been under center for
every single one of them, so that's helped.

Speaker 2 (27:54):
When QB one is healthy all year, it's such an advantage. Yeah,
you're giving away NH like no freebiest to anyone. Yeah,
that's Stafford point you made before Dan Byron, that was.

Speaker 1 (28:05):
A good one.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
I mean that's the biggest, the biggest surprise that in
the off season. I remember dB, we speculated would he retire?
We speculated is his back injury going to be one
of those things where every other week or so it's
like Matthew Stafford.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
Questionable with lower back and nothing.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
Also, just the fact that the Rams were like, go
ahead and look elsewhere, kind of like the what do
the Rams know that we don't know? And they went
and they allowed him to look around. He ended up
going back to LA, then ended up not being healthy
in the preseason, which we thought was another red flag,
and then having this MVP sort of season. Crazy. I mean,

(28:42):
now without Devonte Adams, we'll see what they do. They
lost pookin the coop for a couple of games middle
of the year. But I want to make this point too.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
You know, I didn't leave the Rams out of that
conversation because I forgot they're eleven and three.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
Dan Byer brought him up, and I'm like, yeah, damn,
he's right.

Speaker 2 (28:55):
They've been solid and Stafford being there all year really
not expected.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
They've won.

Speaker 2 (29:01):
Right when I say opportunity, like you got to capitalize
Josh Allen, this is his chance. Stafford, this is his chance.
I mean Stafford Darnold's this is his chance. Party, this
is his chance. That's what I was getting at, Like,
this is their opportunity to capitalize on these injuries on
these teams.

Speaker 1 (29:20):
So the healthiest is the wealthiest.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
And we'll take your feedback At eight seven to seven
ninety nine on Fox, there's another big thing going on
this weekend. It's like if Taylor Shift doesn't put out
an album that year, some other pop star has a
chance to be like the girl or guy that year.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
Absolutely, you know you have the chance.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
When Jordan retired, that gave opportunity for a few teams
to sneak in there for a few years. These injuries
have given opportunity to other teams to really step up
this weekend aside from Week sixteen beginning, we have a
big fight on Friday. Does everybody realize the fights on Friday.
We're not used to Friday night fights anymore. Love on

(30:00):
Friday night fights, but big pay per viewing, big events
have become a Saturday night thing. Saturday Night's all right,
Saturday nights a night for fighting. That's what Elton John
told me, but I.

Speaker 1 (30:09):
Like the version. You like the Who version of what
Saturday nights all right for fighting? That's a cover song.

Speaker 2 (30:15):
No, No, the Who do cover it, and it's fantastic.
They you're saying, whose version is better than Elton John?

Speaker 1 (30:21):
I like it more Saturday Saturday Saturdays. Really, I think
you're doing BA City Rollers.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
Hey, the fame of the song is Saturday Nights a
night for fighting.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
The Saturday it's alright for fighting.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
The Jake Paul aj fight is Friday, and Rich has
a dilemma and we want to turn dilemmas dilemonade. Let
me post the question. We'll go to dB for an update,
and then we'll take some fun feedback. Now, Friday night
is fight night. I invited all you guys. I invited
the show spot, Danny g Sam Cavino, Dan Bayer.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
You know, if you guys are part of the show,
come over.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
I'll order some food, watch the fight, how attle cocktail
up by the fire pit afterwards. And Sam, you pointed
out it's also some college football playoffs. Oh yeah, night,
huh we got some action. I'm excited the song, isn't
it Saturday Nights a night for college football?

Speaker 1 (31:14):
Playoffs.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
So we got college football playoffs and a fight night
Friday night. Friday night, and I have a question that
has to do with when you invite someone, who does
that invite extent to I'll explain, but let's go to
dB for an update, Dan Buyer, what's doing what?

Speaker 3 (31:32):
Dan? We'll see if Dolphins said coach Mike McDaniel invites
two a tongue of iloa to their starting quarterback party
in week sixteen, because apparently that job is up in
the air.

Speaker 2 (31:41):
We're in the process of game planning for the Cincinnati Bengals,
so we're trying to determine.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
Who'll give us the best chance to win. I'll probably
give you more clarity on that tomorrow.

Speaker 3 (31:51):
As for the quarterback play last night, which was handled
by Tua, McDaniel said.

Speaker 1 (31:55):
Quote it was not good enough end quote.

Speaker 3 (31:58):
Ram said coach Sean mcvason watch receiver DeVante Adams could
be a game time decision for their game in Seattle
on Thursday because of his hamstring strain. Chargers head coach
Jim Harbass speaky with The Dan Patrick Show today and
DP asked him about his connection or conversations with Sharon Moore,
the former Michigan coach who was arrested last week.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
When's the last time you talked to Sharon Moore?

Speaker 4 (32:18):
Early December? But I have texted.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
Him nothing since he was arrested, just text How are
his spirits?

Speaker 4 (32:25):
I think I think it's a strategy. So the worst
days of his life and you know, keep it together
and take care of your family. That's you know, that's
the message, and I getting spiritual guidance is really critical.

Speaker 3 (32:41):
Harbaud was asked by DP if he has any role
in firing or hiring more successor at Michigan. Harbas says
his focus right now is on the Chargers and their
Week sixteen opponent, the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 1 (32:52):
Sesame Street helped raise all of us.

Speaker 3 (32:53):
Now it's our turn donate this holiday season at sesame
dot org because the world needs Sesame and Sesame needs
you where Alabama head coach Nick Saban has purchased in
a minority stake in the Nashville Predators championship game of
the NBA Cup in Las Vegas tonight Nixon Spurs eight
thirty Eastern Time. When the Warriors play on Thursday. They
want to have Pat Spencer. He's been ruled out for
personal reasons. Guys back to you.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
Thanks Dan Bayer. Thanks Dan.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
All right, now here's my question and we'll go quick
with this and we'll get into some more NFL, maybe
a little baseball hot stove of any moves that you
see that you're interested in. We'll get to a fun,
fun show today. When you have a fight night, when
you invite someone, when you're a grown man, when you
invite someone, is that extending to their whole family or

(33:38):
is it.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
Just the person?

Speaker 2 (33:39):
And what if you specify that it's guys night, is
that like really lame for an adult to do, because
for instance, it's just a br and in my mind,
like I would never want anyone to not feel welcome
at my house because everyone's always welcome if you if
you're you know, part of my fam. But if I invite,
for instance, one of the coaches I coach little league

(34:03):
with pony Ball with if I say, hey, man, fight
night Friday, come by, we'll have some food. Is he
thinking that's to him him and his son because I
coach or we coach our boys together, so it's like
bros night, like him and a sun com. Is he
bringing his wife and other kids? Like if I say,
Danny fighting out, is he like, yeah, brothers and the
kids will coming to say with co is that you're rich?

(34:25):
Do you need to specially? How do you specify there's
a lot going on here, like yeah, for a fight night, right?
It is it also a sexist to assume that it's
like guys night, because it also depends who the invite's
coming from, meaning.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
Like rich.

Speaker 2 (34:42):
You're a married guy, right, so it's implied that your
wife's gonna be there, and so are your nose picking kids,
which means which means like, okay, so you bring my
wife because your wife's there.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
Right.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
If you're going to a single dude's place, if Carl's like, yeah,
I'm having some people over for the fight and callers
by himself with no other woman, that might be implied
that it's a bro. So you're saying it lies in
the hosts, lies in the yeah, and who's inviting you?
But there's no shame in asking questions. But it is

(35:15):
an interesting thought like what are you supposed to assume?
Like if Dan Bayer were to say, hey, guys, party
at my place, I assume Dan Dan's got a wife
and a beautiful little son who's close to my son's age.
In my mind, I'm like, is that like a bring
the family thing?

Speaker 1 (35:30):
Yeah? If you had a big family, though, bring everybody?
What if?

Speaker 2 (35:35):
What if one of my buddies I coach with has
like three kids and a wife and all of a
sudden like inviting him to fight n It's like inviting
five people.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
Over my house. Exactly. Yeah, your thoughts, how do you
work there? Think about it. We'll take your feedback on that.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
Next we'll get into some more football NFL and of
course tonight, how can you forget about the NBA Cup.
We're gonna get to that more CNR next right here
on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
Oh is this t Who version? Saturday nights? All right?

Speaker 2 (36:07):
Friday night is fight night, but Saturday nights all right?
Going out to all the Who's in Whoville?

Speaker 1 (36:14):
Here you go.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
It's their favorite band, the Who, going out to cindylu
Who because Who, Well, y' all know the Grinch is
terrorizing him Max, So they need something to have fun too.

Speaker 1 (36:26):
And that's Covino and Rich. And I always say I'm
playing the.

Speaker 2 (36:28):
Who, Covino and Rich Who us Covino and Rich live
at the Fox Sports Radio Studio. You ever see a
girl of the bad nose job and she looks like
she lives in Whoville. Yeah, that's where she got the
nose job. I always assume that. Yeah, so it's time
for a tirect play of the day. Rogers and Metcalf.

(36:50):
Sounds like a law firm, Rogers and Metcalf. If you get,
if you get a fender bender called Rodgers and Metcalf
oxy dentdees. Rogers and Metcalf were on the same as
last night.

Speaker 1 (37:01):
Rogers in the shotgun taps both sides of the helmet.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
One on the play clock gets a snap, Dolphins bringing
pressure throw over the middle.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
It is complete. The DK Metcalf pearls aside one defender
stick cart and other.

Speaker 3 (37:13):
Zone for the Pittsburgh Steelers touchdown whatever by DK Metcalf.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
Both guys having a game last night, and that's courtesy
of one O two five w DVE Steelers Radio Network.
That's our Tyraq play of the day. Yeah, Covino and
DK Metcalf, same workout right, Yes, same workout wine. For

(37:40):

Speaker 1 (37:44):
The way tire mind should be so hey, I like
that who version Sam?

Speaker 2 (37:49):
Good job Now he played Saturday Nights at Night for fighting,
because we're used to Saturday night fights at this point,
but man used to be Friday night fights Man and
and on Netflix this Friday night, you get Jake Paul
and Anthony Joshua and Word on the Streets.

Speaker 1 (38:06):
Is well two things.

Speaker 2 (38:07):
We'll be breaking it down on our bonus pot this
week over Promised with Covino and Rich. We're gonna welcome
boxing Analyst two tone to Superstar. He's gonna break it down,
tell us his pick probably gonna be Joshua. But why
you'll find out on over Promised right here on our
YouTube page Covino and Rich FSR and Word on the

(38:27):
Streets is Anthony Joshua. Already looking ahead, you say, f
number one channel for Pirates C and R on FSACH
Pirates love us Huge with and events like in sidbrin
AJ looking ahead of Jake Paul, so it shows you

(38:47):
where his head is at. Do you say that he's
so confident or is that bad? Because they're saying that
he's working out a fight with Tyson Fury.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
Following this, Jake Paul too.

Speaker 2 (38:58):
If Anthony Joshua, he said, if I don't destroy Jake Paul,
I'm disappointed, Like he pulled like an Evan drago, like
I will destroy him. Well again, as far as analysis,
Covino and orch FSR will do that on Thursday, right,
I over promised. But as far as the invites and
how we're gonna handle this Friday night spectacular, there's lots
to keep in mind. Holiday parties, ugly sweater parties. Do

(39:21):
you combine them? Who do you winvite? Like, if you're
inviting families, do women wives? And I'm sorry to be
sexist here, but do wives and children really care about
the fight? Does that interrupt the festivities? Is there such
thing as a Is there such thing as a boys'
night if it's not specified when you're grown up?

Speaker 1 (39:41):
Yeah, but add the holiday layer to this too.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
You're gonna have people over on a Friday night, I'm
assuming like, Hey, it's Christmas time, It's Christmas time. Is
this holiday party like? No, it is a fight night.
And by the way, it takes such offense to Esteban
on our intro chat.

Speaker 1 (39:55):
What do you say?

Speaker 2 (39:56):
Because Rich feels like a guy that has bland humus
at his party. I have all. I know you're the
guy that thinks that it's spicy, but it's not.

Speaker 1 (40:04):
I have all.

Speaker 2 (40:05):
Rich, He licks his fingers and afterwards because he thinks
it's so spicy garlic.

Speaker 1 (40:11):
Yeah, but it's not got anything.

Speaker 2 (40:14):
Guys go home with it, got it, goes home with
a full belly every time he's in my house.

Speaker 1 (40:17):
Now he's lying about pomus. Rich.

Speaker 2 (40:20):
Here guy's gone mild and the tooth owd guy's gone mind.
Good ones, true guy's gone line.

Speaker 1 (40:26):
Rich has the bitchen sauce set out.

Speaker 2 (40:29):
Dude, I love sauce, I will say, though, Hey, I
didn't say I don't appreciate the fixings and the food
Rich has, but I bring it all.

Speaker 1 (40:37):
You know, actually you don't bring it spicy. What do
you want? You gotta bring the spy.

Speaker 2 (40:42):
You want something like some of them burn your bungholes.
But the question is, guys, just to you know, give
it to you straight. Can you have a guy's night
or is that just lame? Does that to be specified?
Like I said, if I invite everyone over Friday, night,
and I invite some of the dads from you know,
the Pony League with their kids. Am I assuming wives
and kids and other kids? And does everyone just at

(41:03):
this stage of the game too? Our kids and wives
always implied I think they might be.

Speaker 1 (41:07):
Are we schoolboys?

Speaker 2 (41:08):
Because I didn't think about it until one of my
buddies said, is it everyone or just like me?

Speaker 1 (41:11):
I'm like, oh, I noticed.

Speaker 2 (41:13):
If my girlfriend's working, it's a pros night when people
come over. Hey, your thoughts at covid on rich We
got more next, guys, Guys,
