Carlos Suarez or something like that. He gets on stage,
grabs the microphone and lets add a primal scream Motley

(00:41):
Cruz style, gets electrocuted, freezing holding out to the mic.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
Sparks are flying.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
And he falls backward and they thought he died, but
luckily he survived. God has happened to Prus all over?

Couldn't let go of it. Sparks were flying and he fell.
He fell. It was horrible. Can I tell you something
so cute and adorable? What you know?

Speaker 2 (01:20):
I got little kids. My daughter's eight and my son's five.
We're watching Home alone, and you know what, Marv gets
electrocuted and for a second they go to a skeleton.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Yeah, my daughter's like, does that really happen to.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Wait?

Speaker 1 (01:36):

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah, man, Spot has Midweek major the biggest stories in
sports and pop culture. We decide together, are they midweek
or major stories? We got Lowen Kron hanging out todays

See my sweet this is.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
An overshirt, Rich, But when you look like a vato
like me, you can't really wear a flannel.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
You just look like a down full Have you have
you button that top button? You look like you're gonna
start doing tuble fit East Loss Homes. I look like
at the loco.

Speaker 2 (02:57):
And all it is is a nice winter shirt man unbuttoned.
It's just the nice winter shirt buttons, casual winter shirt buttons.
You look like you're in blood and blood out.

Speaker 1 (03:05):
Yeah for real? Well, hey, Rich, let's jump into the ruckus.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Let's get into it. I already say congratulations to the Knicks.
We will talk about it because someone's faking it, and
I'll tell you who coming up. Someone is faking it?
Who's faking the funk on that nasty dunk. Who will explain?
But congrats big win over the Spurs last night, and
I want to kick it off with.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Rich's Mets. Now hear me out.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
It's not baseball talk because I know you guys are
in your NBA Cup, NFL zone.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
So are we.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
But there's two stories. If it was just one story,
I wouldn't talk about your Mets. Two stories number one,
and you're not talking about Diaz and Alonzo, No, no
other Mets stories.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
Number one. I gotta say, what's the deal? Bra?

Speaker 2 (03:54):
You want my leftovers like a dog? I say, my
leftover is like a dog. You o my seconds as
they say, the sloppy seconds.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
Here we go.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
As of today, Riches New York Mets got Luke Weaver
for a three year deal like twenty two million or
something like. That reliever Luke Weaver. He had his moment
and yes that rhyme, Sam, I know you like that
reliever Luke Weaver.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Luke Weaver, the reliever re Weaver. There you go. There
got the.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
Dream Weaver, Luke the reliever Weaver. So the Yankees steal
Luke Weaver. He had an off season. I'm okay with it.
But now put together the Mets current bullpen. You have
our leftover in Clay Holmes, you have our leftover and
Devin Williams, now you have our leftover in Luke Weaver.

(04:47):
Not to mention, you have our leftover in Juan Soto
and me are gonna make a pretty generous offer, apparently
to Cody Bellinger. Yeah exactly, and you're after Bellinger. Let
me say this respect for and let me use sports terms.
Get off our jock, bro, what are you doing?

Speaker 1 (05:05):
What's the deal?

Speaker 2 (05:06):
This sounds like a desperate you know, like a dude
that's obsessed with you or a woman. This is more
of a woman tactic where a woman is so obsessed
And I say disrespectfully ladies, but it's more likely to
be a woman in this case from my experience, sexist,
very sexist.

Speaker 1 (05:21):
But hear me out.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
You know how certain women are so vengeful and caddy
and petty sometimes or maybe even obsessed with other women,
Like they just copy their style, they steal their man.
Is that the whole narrative of Bieber's wife, Like, didn't
you like copy? Everything's become obsessive, right, it's less of
a of a man quality. I'm not saying men are

(05:43):
above it, but I mean the Mets are really on
the Yankees?

Speaker 1 (05:46):
Jock here, Am I wrong in saying that? Am I?

Speaker 3 (05:49):
Am?

Speaker 2 (05:49):
I losing my mind? Okay, got the entire Yankees bullpen.
I walked into our now want the Yankees outfit? I
walked into our today, and Comito goes, yo, take your
team to get off my nuts, Like, what are you
talking about?

Speaker 5 (06:02):
Yo?

Speaker 1 (06:02):
And come on?

Speaker 2 (06:03):
And what a Mets thing to do? On a side note, oh,
here we go. I believe Jason Smith said this, not
Mike Harmon. Jason Smith. I can never tell him apart no, no,
no Smith sleeves, Harmon hat.

Speaker 1 (06:17):
Jason Smith wears no sleeves. Mike Carmon wears a hat.
I'm an ass man. He should wear he should wear slips.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
Jason Smith is also a Mets fan like you, and
he goes, what a Mets thing to do? We no
longer have the guy that hit the home run in
Pete Alnzo. We have the guy that led up the
home run, right, like, what a Mets thing to do?
But not only that, they have all of the Yankees
like bullpen and now outfield. And it didn't work for

(06:44):
the Yankees. So why are the Mets doing it? That's
story number one. Well, and it has nothing to do
with the Mets Yankees. I think that there are sometimes, Danny,
have you ever noticed that there's a team in the NBA, NFL,
Major League Baseball where there's a handful of guys that
used to be on your team and you almost look
at it like, oh, look at them.

Speaker 1 (07:01):
They're like it's my Oh yeah, like my team liked
in a way. Rich.

Speaker 6 (07:06):
It's like how the Packers have Josh Jacobs, Nate Hobbs,
a couple of other Raiders.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
I'm like, man, I should just start rocking the g hat.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
But you want to know why this is happening too,
And this is part two of the story. This is
kind of wild. So again, this is not about baseball.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
This is an update. It's like you see.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Something you like and you just try to emulate it
and copy it and basically rip it off. Like I
like that dude's jacket, I like that dude's sneakers, that
dude's hat, and then you.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Steal his whole style and swaggers. Swaggers don't work that way, dude.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
You got wiring, Guarie agents, you got Clay Holmes, Devin Williams,
Luke Weaver, Wan Soto, you're going after Bellinger. My goodness, dude,
part two of this If you don't care about the
Mets Yankees, good because Part two of this could do
with football, baseball, basketball, anything. It's more of just a
a twenty twenty five general sentiment. Let's explain to what

(07:55):
makes sports beautiful and makes sports great. All different walks
of life life come to one place with one purpose,
and that purpose is to win. Right, different ideology, different people,
different cultures from all different walks of life, different lands.
And this is a national game, and this is on
full display if and when you do watch like the
World Baseball Classic, or you're starting to see in the

(08:17):
NBA when they do the international players orus the American
born players. It's it's beautiful when you see, Hey, my
team's got Japanese players, black players, white players, Latino players.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
It's all different. It really is.

Speaker 2 (08:29):
All differences aside, And it doesn't matter what names on
the back because they're all playing for the name that's
on the front, right, All differences aside. When you're in
between those lines, you got one goal, one common goal
together and has to win. So nothing else matters once
the buzzer hits. Once the game starts. You could have

(08:50):
went with tip off first pitch or kickoff, went with
buzzer hits.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
I went with the.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Yeah I saw you Somebmy Scrambley.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
How does the game start?

Speaker 2 (09:03):
Once the game starts, all those things are out the window.
Differences don't matter. You won common goals to win. And
would you believe it that word on the streets is
as of today that your boy Brandon Neimo and Lindoor
never saw eye to eye and they got rid of
Nimo because of political differences. I'm not saying this hasn't

(09:26):
existed before. I'm sure it has, but I've never really
heard it like this before in sports. It infiltrated relationships
where it never has before, and now it's infiltrating sports
in a way that it really hasn't before. They couldn't
put that aside, I'm assuming, and it's a pretty good
assumption what I read. And Nimo was a Trump guy,

(09:48):
Lindoor was not. They couldn't put their political differences aside
for the soul sake of winning in New York. That's
just so lame to me, because that sort of defeats
what sports is all about, Like, well, you're letting your
political differences get in a way of winning. Here, I listen,
I'm call me old fashioned. I still believe in the

(10:13):
idea of, hey, we could be friends if we have
different political beliefs. But that is not a sentiment that
is popular among younger people because their mindset is Yo,
if you disagree with me on these big issues, then
I don't know how it could be your pal. It's
a very different mindset. You could say, well, that's the problem,
you should care and I get all that. And here's
another example. You can say, well, that's the caveman knuckle

(10:34):
dragon mentality of our generation.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
Right.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Have you ever Danny g Iowa, Sam spott Low and
cron I say this respectfully, Fox Sports Radio Nation, Please
I say this respectfully. Have you ever kicked someone out
of the bedroom because they didn't line up with you politically?
Have you ever had a hot woman laying in your
bedroom and said, wait a minute before we do this, Oh,
who do you support?

Speaker 1 (10:57):
Yeah? Because guess what in today's world, and I've seen
it first.

Speaker 2 (11:01):
Hand, imagineing you're ask getting days in the two thousand,
you're like some girls like unrobing in your better and
you're like, hold on before this proceeds, mccana Obama.

Speaker 1 (11:09):
Oh what if she asks you right? Hold on? Trick question?

Speaker 2 (11:16):
Oh, like do you do you lie just to make
it happen?

Speaker 1 (11:23):
I don't vote right exactly. I'm an independent.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
If you, when I'm noticed, know that it becomes you
don't vote. Oh my god, you don't care about the process.

Speaker 1 (11:30):
I'm neutral. Now that the neutral is even worse because
then you're quote wishy washed. No, I screwed this up.
Let me tell you.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
I would say my brother is single again. He recently
got divorced.

Speaker 1 (11:39):
Unfortunately. Yeah, meeting someone is hard enough.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
My brother, my brother has had to fake the funk
so many times because girls on dating profiles will be
like unless you like hate President Trump, don't respond to
my brother's like, I don't hate President Trump.

Speaker 1 (11:53):
But she has a fine ass.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
Like you know, you're like, it's right, just like you
got to put differences aside between the line for the
greater good of winning. Sometimes you gotta put your differences
aside to make a relationship work right, and you connect
on other things and it's okay to disagree. That's how
we were brought up at least to think. Now I'm
seeing younger people and younger relationships. They don't deal with it. Dude,

(12:17):
I have a teenage daughter and I was like, whatever
happened to uh Kirby?

Speaker 1 (12:22):
I don't know the kid's name.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
I can't give way to kids name anyway, weird, weird
millennial name, weenial name, larynth whatever happened to larynx?

Speaker 1 (12:28):
Cayden because kids don't have normal names.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
We're having a Cayden, nice kid. They didn't line up
politically or he sets them off the wall sort of
views that he that didn't agree with my daughters, so
they're like they called it done.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Though, I'm like, what why are you guys worrying about that?
You're sixteen years old?

Speaker 2 (12:45):
You could say that we're you could say, hey, Kevina Rich,
you guys are dummies. That's been said before. That's possible.
But think about it. If you were a single guy
in the nineties, two thousands, if you're an older school
dude seventies or eighties, did you ever one time when
you were in high school even no care or think
about the political thoughts of a girl you had a crush. No,

(13:07):
never when you were when you were on your come up,
did you ever think of a girl who you asked
out on a day? High school girl asked me what
my thoughts of the Gaza Strip?

Speaker 1 (13:15):
Where I would be thinking, is that a steak? I
wouldn't know.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
I wouldn't I wouldn't have known what she was talking
about because I was a teenage idiot. These kids about
the Gaza Strip of the style she had going on
somewhere kids today, and you could say, well, then that's
better for them because you should line up. I don't
know about that. It's infiltrating relationships. How many young single

(13:39):
people are out there because of all the difference is
it's hard enough to find someone. Now you're adding another layer.
And now it's infiltrating sports, the old that the old
adage of opposites attract I think people have sort of
poo pooed that idea, and you know what the.

Speaker 1 (13:54):
Sale mc scat cat the I will let Paula Abdul
not know.

Speaker 2 (14:01):
I feel like it's very almost counterproductive in old school
when Cavino and I genuinely say something like yeah, man,
I'm sort of a down the middle guy, because you
know what happens. Then every Republican friend you have is like,
what are you some liberal?

Speaker 1 (14:16):
Uh wimp?

Speaker 2 (14:17):
And then every liberal friend you have is like, what
are you some trumper? You're on an island. I can't win,
Like when you're when you're a middle guy, where you're like, hey,
you know what I don't.

Speaker 1 (14:26):
I don't love or hate this. You're considered wishy washy Jackson.

Speaker 2 (14:31):
Can I tell you I saw our buddy KFC from
Barstool point out something great. He's a good dude. He
was on our bonus pod recently. Over promised. KFC from
Barstool said, the biggest problem we ever did when it
comes to politics is we started treating politics the way
we treat sports.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
How you will.

Speaker 2 (14:52):
Attic like fanatically, like Cavino, you're a Yankees fan, Danny
g you're a Dodgers fan, you will hate the Padres
no matter what undeniable the Red Sox could do no
right in your mind right, that is fanatical, that's fanatical,
ridiculous behavior.

Speaker 1 (15:07):
You hate your rival. If you're a Lakers fan, the Celtics,
even if they.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
Do something good, is the point? Yeah, Yeah, you just
hate them. You hate them because you have to. Gary
Vaynerchuk talks about this are pal motivational speaker and influencer
Gary Vee talks about how he knows as a Jets fan,
he's illogical and that's what it is.

Speaker 1 (15:28):
He's a fanatic, right because of sports whatever.

Speaker 2 (15:31):
But when you take politics and you you treat controllably
and undeniably agree with one hundred percent of something someone
does or says, because you're treating politics like you're a
fan no offense, Donald Trump, Kamala.

Speaker 1 (15:45):
Harris, Joe Biden.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
They're not the Raiders or the Padres or the Patriots
and the Cardinals. It's a politician. So it really upset
me to see that Nimo and lindor whether the rumors
are true or not. The fact that the Mets clubhouse
was divided politically. Oh dude, just sort of week with
the holidays coming up, you going a hon a good
dinners or you know, my family's coming in town for Christmas.

(16:07):
You're telling me you think your family all aligns politically.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
Get out of here. You have some family members that
lover hate the same guy.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Right, and by the way, think of polarizing figures in sports,
like in history, like like a Kurt Shilling.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
Right, you think everyone in the locker room lined up
with that guy. Absolutely not, but they put it aside
to win. How did they not do that?

Speaker 2 (16:35):
I give this sort of thing needs to stop because
you'll never line up with everybody. You think everyone here
Fox Sports Radio lines up the same way. No, but
we want to do great radio and we want to
have fun throughout the day. We want to connect and
put all that aside. Your Mets can do that. I
hope it stops there, because your boy Lindor is part
of two weekass stories. Him and Nimo couldn't line up politically,

(16:58):
they thought about it, they got rid of nim and
then the side story is a total side note. Him
and Soto didn't vibe and that was part of the
problem this year too. Well, you know what, let me
take it to my football team, since I'm only going
to talk about my team's Danny. But you've heard this
story too, where forty nine ers injured. Unfortunately edg Rusher
and one of the best defensive players in the league,

(17:19):
Nick Bosa, is very openly a Donald Trump supporter. Yeah,
and they made it very clear that his teammates are like, yeah, dude,
I might not agree with you, but you're a boy,
the Niners and other athletes have overcome what has been
around forever political differences. But now we seem to think, well,
I can't hang with that person. We don't see eye

(17:41):
to eye and everything when you could see that, sir,
because what happens is Lindor then says, and again I'm
painting in broad strokes here, I don't know this to
be fact. Yeah, this is automatically doesn't like NIMO because
we treat it in a fanatical way, like hold on,
I don't care if you're a good guy.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
I don't care if you're a nice family man.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
I don't care if you're a great base that guy
you're against Trump, you don't like me.

Speaker 1 (18:02):
I hate you.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
Therefore, no chemistry. So if this is this might not
be the first time this has happened. You don't think, bro,
You don't think in the NFL when people were kneeling
during the anthem, Oh yeah, you don't think that that
divided different races and cultures and southern people in coast
northern people. You don't think there was divide during that.

(18:27):
Oh there had to be.

Speaker 1 (18:28):
There were, there were, There were definitely locker room conversation.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
I'm sorry when you're getting paid that kind of money
as a professional. You have to put it aside for
the fans. Dude, it's not you don't have to hang
out and like the guy. You have to win together.
It's as simple as that you're on the team. Not
everyone's gonna love each other and get along and line
up in life and in sports. I think it's a
shame they couldn't put those differences aside. I have a

(18:54):
question for the same and I.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
Hope it doesn't continue to be like a like a.

Speaker 2 (18:58):
Trend because politics is now like an everyday mainstream conversation. Hey,
let me let me put you guys on the spot,
Isaac Danny g I was saying, do you think politics
will remain a focal point? Do you think we're just
going through one of the ebbs and flows in history
where it's where it's a out in front of you thing.
Do you think we've just had some polarizing politicians or

(19:18):
do you think, hey, we went through the Vietnam era
that the country was divided, then you you know, do
you think it's an ebb and flow or do you
think moving forward, every generation will be this politically motivated.

Speaker 7 (19:29):
I'll answer first, because I have balls, please do I mean?
The most accurate answer I can give is I honestly
don't know. I hope it's an ebb and flow because
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (19:42):
You hear people say we're more divided than ever, and
then like your dad might be like, oh, you aren't
around Sundaer in Vietnam or something there.

Speaker 7 (19:48):
The sixties were pretty interesting, but in a different way
than it is now because.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
Of different issues. He tell us about the sixties.

Speaker 7 (19:57):
I did a lot of LDS r LSD.

Speaker 2 (20:01):
Sorry, let me let me just say it's it's wild,
because again, it's a weird take in twenty twenty five,
where I could genuinely tell you I have friends that
think Trump is the greatest guy in the world, and
I have friends that think Trump is the worst guy
in the world. And I've never been like, you know,
I don't think we could be friends because of your
political take. I just I may say, yeah, I don't
agree with you on that. In fact, I may or

(20:22):
maybe we don't vibe socially, right, Hey, we don't have
to go out and chop it up and be best
friends or besties having drinks in high five? Do you
think but when you're when you're professionals, you have to
put that aside. So do you think, let's just be
real here, do you think like a forty year old
nerdy punter is socially hanging out with some twenty two

(20:46):
year old draft pick who who just entered the NFL
and is like, you know, Chase an s No, do
you think do you think you know? We talked about
that with Matthew Staffords. Matthew Stafford, you know, the possible
MVP this year. Remember like a year ago, his beautiful
wife was doing her podcast and said that, hey, it's
a little tricky because it's hard to relate to everyone
in a locker room because some guys are in there

(21:08):
close to forty and married other guys or Chase it
ass you know, political differences everyone's gonna have.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
And here's the shame of it, right, different thoughts.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
Absolutely, the biggest shame of it too is in the
world of dating and relationships and friendships, it's hard enough
to find people to relate to, and you're adding one
more layer to it, right. The same in sports, it's
so hard to build chemistry. We see it, right, It's
so hard to build that winning team and that magic
and that chemistry, and now you're adding one more annoying
layer that doesn't even belong there anyway.

Speaker 1 (21:36):
This is sports, this isn't politics. Keep it out of
the locker room. He used to be.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
Keep it out of the Thanksgiving or Christmas or Hanuka table.
Keep it off the table, keep it out of the holiday.
Now you got to keep it out of the locker room.
It's just one more layer that interferes with the chemistry
and winning of a team. I mean, who's great at
making serious issues very light?

Speaker 1 (21:56):
The great Larry David. Right, are you guys fans of CURB?

Speaker 2 (21:58):
I was gonna say us too, but pretty maybe close
to Larry David, but not Larry David. There's a great
episode where he's hooking up with this beautiful girl but
she hates Jewish people and he's.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
Like, but it's like but but it's you know, so satirical.

Speaker 2 (22:17):
But I mean, we are you know, that's a humorous,
you know, TV show.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
But he didn't have a problem with that. Then Marty had
the problem.

Speaker 2 (22:24):
With Yeah, Funck Housers was like the late great funk Causer.
But your thoughts, Hey, let's open it up, Let's let's
have some real talk. Here on a Rando Cavino on
Rich Wednesday, and we are going to get to midweek
Major and the NBA Cup.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
You know NBA Cup.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
Someone's someone's full of someone's full of it, someone's faking
the funk.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
I'm gonna call someone out today.

Speaker 2 (22:43):
And also we talked about there being like five games
this weekend where the steaks are so high. I want
to go over those games that you guys and really
break them down. Oh steaks. I'll have the guys the
strip with that medium. Well, uh, Danny, keep everyone on hold.

Sports Radio.

Speaker 1 (24:23):
We're happy to be part of it. Thanks for being
part of our family.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
Covino and Rich live from the Fox Sports Radio studios,
and Sesame Street helped raise all of us, except for Rich.

Speaker 1 (24:35):
He was raised by wolves and the Grouch Oscar the Grouch.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
But yeah, props to Sesame Street because now it's our
turn donate this holiday season at sesame dot org because
the world needs Sesme and Sesame needs you. So word
on the streets rumors allegedly is that Nimo and Lindor
couldn't put aside their political differences. And I'm here to
say that political differences in sports is a chemistry.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
No bueno.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
No no politics at the holiday table, no politics in
the locker room, in the clubhouse.

Speaker 1 (25:07):
Can't happen. Chemistry killer.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
I I can't understand how we've slid to the mindset
of don't agree with me, can't hang with you, like
like our buddy Jeff hit us up, he goes guys,
when I met my wife, I'm very picky about lining
politically with someone.

Speaker 1 (25:25):
I get that when you're dating.

Speaker 2 (25:26):
But he did go on to say I can remain
friends with people who don't agree with me if I
know they're good people. I'm still I I don't know.
I find it tricky. It's it's it's tricky territory. It's
tricky to rock and rhyme, and it's tricky to line
up politically with everybody. It's impossible, especially on a team
and when you're looking for a special especially it's not

(25:47):
the eighties where Ronald Reagan won forty nine of the
fifty states in an election. We're talking about the last
three elections are down the middle. Well, let me you know,
almost fitty fitty Fernando Mendoza. I don't know where he
lines up politically. I have no idea, but I hear
how his teammates talk about him. You could see how

(26:09):
likable he is, right, Yeah, everything he's saying, especially for
Hispanic players and everything, I'm like, this guy is amazing.

Speaker 1 (26:15):
He's the best. I love this guy. He's lovable.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
I want to getim a hug. A lot of his
teammates are like, I would run through a wall for
this guy because he's such a good dude. I love
him in this net and you could see the chemistry.
You could see they play for that dude. They're protecting
that dude. You want to protect the guy you don't like,
You know what I mean, It's hard to like somebody
if you're leading with politics and you disagree all the time.

Speaker 1 (26:39):
That chemistry is not there. It's not going to be
the same chemistry.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
Killer, And it's a shame that we're letting politics infiltrate
our relationships in this way. And again our buddy Jeff
who hit us up and said that also a little
younger than us.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
Yeap.

Speaker 2 (26:52):
I never was sizing up a woman. And you could
say I'm wrong for that, and I understand where you're
coming from, and maybe that is the problem. But I
never was sized up a woman. And I don't think
she was sizing me up. Me thinking who, I wonder
what party he belongs to, because I'll tell you which,
one taco party of one?

Speaker 1 (27:07):
You know, like, it wasn't that deep for me. Did
we get along?

Speaker 2 (27:10):
Cavino's biggest choice was not a Republican or Democrat.

Speaker 1 (27:14):
It was soft shell or heartsh right flour or corn.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
And it's just a shame because political differences shouldn't infiltrate
your sports team. Just either just added to the list
of things that can mess with chemistry inside of locker room.

Speaker 1 (27:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (27:28):
When I was a little kid here in East LA,
my mom was really cautious about colors that she put
on me and my brother. Yeah, and that's what we
were thinking about. And some people treat politics like that now, Yeah,
like gang colors.

Speaker 2 (27:41):
You're absolutely right, and that's a shame, you know, who
I blame them, you're boiling door. I do because i
think he's a really likable guy, and I'm surprised. That's
why I'm hard. This is all speculation from Mike Francesse evaculation.
But the story is Lindor was not vibe Mo Soto
and politically different with Nimo, and that's why he's not
there again.

Speaker 1 (28:00):
Allegedly whatever. But I'm sure this happens.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
I'm sure it happens, and people don't want to talk
about it moving forward. What happens between lines, you know,
politics should not infiltrate that. All right, let's go to
your feedback, Danny g Who do we got the phones
of the phones of CNR, phones of CNR and I
can't log in here.

Speaker 6 (28:21):
Let's know how the phones have been on fire. Let's
start in Fresno, California with Cody.

Speaker 5 (28:26):
Cody, Hey, guys, this just happened to my brother two
weeks ago. He's twenty years old, younger than us. Yeah,
went on a date with a girl, a great date,
went back to her place. They're hanging out. She goes, oh,
I forgot to ask who did you vote for? And
he said it and she goes, I'm gonna have to
ask you to leave, kick them out. Watch him on Instagram.
Then she went to the te app and said that

(28:48):
he's a fascist and make sure not to date this guy.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
Dude, I'm not surprised to hear that. It's not stuff
we had to deal with, and it makes it more
difficult for young people and that's why they're all single. Yeah,
but I'm not surprised to hear that, is my point.
I was more surprised that it's happening in sports. But
thanks for sharing. Now, let's go to Bruno in Brooklyn.

Speaker 4 (29:09):
Stop, gentlemen, good afternoon or good morning.

Speaker 1 (29:12):
Hey, how are you listen?

Speaker 4 (29:14):
Guys? Well, hey, listen, I just want to say, first
and foremost happy holidays and all the crew at C
and OR. I love you guys.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
Thank you man.

Speaker 4 (29:22):
Last of the year and.

Speaker 5 (29:23):
It's been fantastic. Hey, back to the point here.

Speaker 4 (29:27):
One thing I think that.

Speaker 8 (29:28):
Changed between with you guys with myself was there was
no social media.

Speaker 3 (29:32):
Man.

Speaker 8 (29:32):
Now, let me just say that we were growing up,
you didn't have You didn't know what everybody thought that
you hung out with. Now everybody has a platform and
they're they're they're posting every day, every night and it's
starting fires.

Speaker 4 (29:45):
People are getting fired.

Speaker 8 (29:46):
Up and they're saying I can't hang with this guy
because he agrees with this or that.

Speaker 4 (29:50):
We didn't have that.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
I never one time, But you're right.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
Social media may, you know, propel kids into politics earlier.
And then again, we have had some divisive candidates more
so than ever. Right, But like Esteban, I don't I'm
not following him. I'm looking at the feedback. He goes
fifty to fifty really, and I'm like, yeah, we've had
the last few elections. People that have won the electoral
have lost a popular and vice versa. Like we're talking

(30:14):
about a country that's very divided. So by that theory,
fifty percent of the people you meet could likely be
people you don't necessarily agree with. That means you're not
going to be friends with fifty percent of the people
you meet. That's crazy. Let's go to Long Island and Kristina.
This is also if you want to think a little
deeper too. This falls hard on coaching staffs and managers

(30:35):
and things like that. Get the piece like it's just
one added layer again because you have to deal with
different personalities and different people that.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
These younger players also their political difference.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
To back up what Bruno said, they also have to
deal with social media another layer. Like you said, GM
trying to create a team based on like their political affiliations,
just to keep the chemistry alive.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
Let's go to Long Island High Kristin.

Speaker 3 (31:00):
Hello, I like your show, by the way, thank you,
and the happy holidays. See you guys. I just want
to stay on here. And I have a friend named Eric.
I also call him e Yeah, and he's the best
friend I've always had. But I also love your music
and I do not like politics.

Speaker 1 (31:21):
How about my shirt? Are you watching episode right? Shirt?

Speaker 2 (31:25):
And I appreciate Thank you Beck, Greg, you know what
made the most sense of anyone, by the way, anything else,
I don't like politics.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
Greg in Pennsylvania, Greg, thank you.

Speaker 4 (31:38):
Merry Christmas, gentleman, and I hope you have a happy
New Year. Hey, I would like to bring I would
like to bring this fox over feelings junk and I'll
use that because this is the afternoon into sports. The
whole eye test thing is for the intellectually weak who
either have a gender to push or they just want

(32:00):
to piss people off with what they say. Because and
where this came to a head for me, like a
giant ZiT that popped up overnight that you didn't know
you had. Was the whole Notre Dame bitch and the
whole Door Sanders thing. It's either like you're on one
camp or another, and no matter how you try to
tell them the facts, it's just like, as matter of fact,
this morning is watching the channel.

Speaker 2 (32:22):
I never by the way, yeah, I never believe. And
by the way, Greg, Greg call, I know. I can
never understand when someone and this goes for politics, because
I said, we treat politics like sports. Now we're fanatical.
I can never understand if you said, here's twenty issues.
I can't imagine. I can't believe the people that are like, well,
I'm just gonna click every check on the left or

(32:43):
right because that's my party. I can never blindly follow
something like that. I feel like you go down a
checklist of twenty things, you might be like, yeah, I got,
you know, thirteen checks on this side, seven on this side.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
I can't fathom how.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
And that's like voting in Congress and all this stuff,
like they just vote on party lines. I can't imagine
being like here's the issues and being like, well, I'm
just checked on the left checked Out's right that there's
not a lot more to this, right. I hope this
sort of stops here, because you don't want this to
change how we watch sports and how sports teams are
run and how they get along. Like sports should be

(33:17):
a safe space from that sort of thing. So that's
why I didn't like the story. And again, this is
all leged from Mike Francesa and some of the things
I read online about Nimo and Lindora, and I just
hope that there's not more of this in the future. Yeah,
let's help with that said, we got a lot to
get through. We're going to talk a lot of NFL today.
But it was a good story. I mean, I'm glad
you brought it up. Let's go to our buddy, Isaac Lohenkron.

Speaker 7 (33:39):
Thank you, fellows. The Athletic reported a short time ago
that the lawyer for the Michigan football staffer who had
a relationship with former head coach Charon Moore, told police
that Moore had a quote long history of domestic violence
unquote against the stafford during their relationship. The stafford told
police that when Moore barged into our apartment last Wednesday,

(34:00):
he grabbed knives and pointed them at her, then pointed
the knives at himself and backed up when the woman
put her lawyer on speakerphone. Moore was not charged with assault,
with prosecutors told The Athletic that the case remains under
active investigation and the charges could be added or amended.
In the NFL, the Miami Dolphins today bench quarterback to

(34:21):
a tongue of I Loa Rookie Quinn Viewers will start
on Sunday against the Bengals. Zach Wilson will be the backup.
Tongue of I Loa will be the emergency number three
quarterback Baltimore Ravens QB. Lamar Jackson was kept at home
today because of the flu. The NBA fined Houston Texans
head coach imy Udoka twenty five thousand dollars today for
publicly criticizing the officials after Monday's overtime loss to Denver.

(34:44):
Every Olympic dream starts with a first glove. Through Learn
to Skate USA, kids build confidence, strength and joy.

Speaker 1 (34:52):
On the ice.

Speaker 7 (34:53):
Learn to Skate USA offers programs for skaters of all
ages and abilities. Find a program near you. I had
learned to skate USA dot com.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
Guys, I picture you ice skating Isaac in spandex.

Speaker 1 (35:09):
Would that be your choice of uh material?

Speaker 7 (35:12):
I used to be quite a jock back in the day.
I actually used to play hockey. By the way, for real, Wow,
what do you mean for real? Blades don't blades of
steel doesn't count. He was a skinny, fast guy. Yeah,
of steel. All right, Well, listen, we're gonna talk. We're
gonna talk to some NFL.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
And someone's full of crap when it comes to the
NBA Cup. We'll get to all that and more next
on Coveno and Wretch. Your dad probably thinks his name
is Mike Bubble. Yeah, Mike Bubble. I like when he
sings the standards blade dad.

Speaker 1 (35:49):
Ye are busting out that bou blaz at the for
the fight? Yeah? A holiday, Michael Bubbley.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
Yeah, fight night on Friday. Who's coming? By the way,
We're having a brose night, I think, so, don't be
bringing your wifies. Yeah, I made it official. It's a
bros night. We talked about that yesterday, Isaac. It's an
interesting thought, right, when you get older and you have
you know, friends with kids and wives, when you have
people over your house. You have to specify. Is it
like a guys night? Are you bringing kids and wives?

(36:18):
It's it's not. Some families roll like five deep. Now
you got to feed it the entire family.

Speaker 7 (36:24):
Important delineations have to be made. By the way, Apparently
my invitation got lost in the mail.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
It was a casual we decided yesterday. But you are
more than welcome.

Speaker 7 (36:31):
No, I can't, I can't make it.

Speaker 1 (36:32):
Misa Sue Kasa or something like that. Max Brosmer is
taking your spot because it's Brose Knight from the Vikings.
Max Brosmer, Yeah, Brose Knight. I like that one. I'm
breaking out his material.

Speaker 2 (36:43):
He'll be at Flappers in Burbank this weekend.

Speaker 1 (36:47):
Don't forget to tip your waitress.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
Where Cavino and Rich is Fox Sports Radio with Danny
g Iowa, Sam Spot and you're getting ready for midweek
Major Low and Crown is here and we have our
tire rack Play of the day. New York Sports has
something to celebrate, or do they?

Speaker 6 (37:05):
So Sam has all these bad puns and jokes prepared
over here, but he doesn't have the play of the
day ready.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
Come on, is the play of the day. Josh Hart
and Brunson.

Speaker 2 (37:12):
By the way, No, Sam, Sam has a bro pun
but no play the day until now and hit it.

Speaker 1 (37:20):
Here we go.

Speaker 9 (37:20):
The the Knicks out much bigger goals at the end
of the year. But by beating Senate Tovieo, they're leaving
Las Vegas with a brand new trophy, your Tenny twenty
five and the Yeah Cup Champions your New York Kicks
courtesy of Nick's Radio Network. That was your Tyreck play
of the day.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
And for over forty years, tire rackt they were helping
people find the right tires for how, what and where
they drive. Ship fast and free. Free Road has a protection,
convenient installation options like mobile tire installation.

Speaker 1 (37:49):
Ti iraq dot com. Wait, tire buying should be And
I want to say that you see hard pull that
move last night?

Speaker 2 (37:55):
Yeah, I thought that was the play of the day.
That's that's how we warm up for every show. By
the way, so that's not new, that's how that's how
we're so ampy. Josh Brown Brown Thumbheart. He did a
celebration maneuver that I've never seen before in the NBA.

Speaker 1 (38:13):
You've done it, No, I have not. It's not truthfully,
he just not in public. He h, he did.

Speaker 2 (38:21):
Let's just say he did that with his thumb to
Jalen Brunson and Jaylen Bronce.

Speaker 1 (38:24):
Was like yo, and it was caught on TV. I
don't know.

Speaker 2 (38:27):
I think he was more like, hey, we just want
the cup thumbs up, thumbs up the wrong spot.

Speaker 1 (38:32):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
It was all playful for sure, but you know it's
kind of funny to see on television. You know we
should talk about the NBA cup.

Speaker 1 (38:40):
Rich. It was last night again the Nicks beat the Spurs.

Speaker 2 (38:44):
Do you want to talk about it honestly or do
you want to sound like Stephen A. Smith before? First
take this morning? Listen to this. I love everybody and
I made everybody.

Speaker 1 (38:54):
I love the I love all the networks. I love everybody.

Speaker 2 (38:58):
You don't know what.

Speaker 1 (39:02):
Poscott SI BA cups this morning? Just say the next
they just see the next.

Speaker 2 (39:08):
Now here's what I said. We saw him beat the
Spurs one. I love the excitement, But how much of
that is Steven a being sarcastic? How much of that
as ESPN's in bed with the NBA and like, you know,
it's their biggest partner versus like, is anyone really excited?
Here's my litmus test on the flip side. Did you
see what Charles Barkley said? You know what, get that

(39:28):
cute up. Let me give you my litmus test. My
friend Nicole, who I do a parenting podcast with every
week that really is more smutty than parenting. I was
talking to her earlier today and her husband's a big
Knicks fan, and I go, yo, it is Matt really
pumped about the uh the cup last night?

Speaker 1 (39:44):
And she's like, what cup?

Speaker 2 (39:46):
And I go last night the Knicks, Like your husband
and son, your your nine year old son and your
husband big Knicks fans. She goes, yeah, like they went
to the NBA playoffs last year at the Garden. Those
tickets were expensive. I go, yeah, not last year. Now
last night she goes, what's the NBA Cup. She's like,
I don't think they even know. I'm like, they know,
but I don't think anyone cares. Yeah. Again, We're from
the East Coast. A lot of our friends Knicks fans,

(40:07):
family members Knicks fans, so always chopping up with family.
Nick's fan friends say like, yeah, bro, my uncle Bill
hit me up this morning like yo, man, the Knicks bro.
And I'm like, seriously, is like no, but you know
at least they want something better than nothing. Better than
nothing for sure. Charles Barkley says NBA Cup is embarrassing.
I'm disappointed that we have to make an nd season
tournament to make these guys more money. We'll play it

(40:29):
for you, but do you think that stephen A was
being serious there? Or is this showmanship at its height
at it's worse? And your thoughts on the NBA coup
will share ours. All that and a bunch of NFL
I'm pumped about NFL Week sixteen, so hang tight,
