Way live on our YouTube page YouTube dot com, Slash
at Covino and Rich FSR and let's get into it, man.
Rich is super pumped about the big announcement today, am
I Yes, Yes, I'm just pumped to do a show
with you today. I'm been a good mood. I'm not
like super pumped about Taylor Swift and Travis though. I
do think it is huge news, and it is. I
(01:40):
promise you you're not gonna look anywhere the rest of the
day without seeing it. But we've moved on to Cutlets
and Aaron Rodgers. But first Cutlets. Yeah, I think Cutlets
reminds you that there was a time where you had
local celebrities and people that would only work in certain places,
only in certain markets that appeal to that particular person.
(02:03):
But the world's a much smaller place now where you
have to have broader appeal to make it or make
it big. There's still local celebrities and local favorites. And
even in sports, like sometimes there's a player on your
team who the fans love for whatever reason, he's the
(02:25):
fan favorite. But anywhere else, no one really cares about
that guy. And that's what Tommy DeVito might be. However,
I just think that New York is such a specific
market where, Yeah, but his numbers spoke different. You could
say that they don't matter. Becau this preseason, he was
pretty decent and he ended on a really high note.
Let me, I'll find this. I feel like, help me
find his last game stats. They were really good. They
(02:47):
were that great. Dude, it's hock. He threw for three
hundred yards or four touchdowns. I mean, it's better than
Shadora's numbers. So we can't talk about chadors and saying
they matter. I'm just saying not mentioned that de Vito
had a good sendoff. When you're the Giants in your
New York, New Jersey and your backup quarterback who got
a chance when your team stunk was Tommy cutlets Tommy DeVito,
(03:08):
Oh gobba gool He's Italian guy, East Coast. It just
it fit. I just think that it did. It was
a good mat very tough to think that if Tommy
Cutletz was the backup quarterback for the Seahawks or the
Raiders or anywhere else. But they're also not matter at all.
They're not the Make a Wish Foundation. They're not giving
him the opportunity because he's Idaian. He was also pretty decent,
(03:29):
So we can't just say yeah, because he's Idaian that
the Giants let him play. For the fans, it just
it worked a little better. I think he could still
translate somewhere else. I don't think his career is over.
I mean it might be. It very well might be.
I think that he got maybe more of an opportunity
and a longer leash in New York because the fans
(03:50):
liked them. They had nothing else to cheer for. You.
They cheered for his antics and his gout by Ghoul
and his oh's you're gonna be a player on your team,
Goba gool. Can you think of a player that's been
on one of the teams you root for that the
fans really embraced, and then you saw him move along
to another town or city and the other team just
(04:11):
sort of didn't embrace. Got that way about all the
like Italian guys growing up that played in New York,
like Lee Mizilly. Yeah, he was a good player. But
you don't think that people in New York like Lee
Mazzilly more than when he played somewhere else. You mean
the handsome Italian play ball. Yeah, great example, by the way,
but of course you know that's a great one. That
is I mean Lee Mizzilly. People loved him here in
(04:32):
New York because there's a bunch of Italians. And I'm
saying it that way because my dad's at day. I know,
I thought of I thought of one of a player
where their vibe matched what was going on, and it's
not the same. I read it. I saw a great
little clip of j. D. Martinez. Yeah, who I'm not
(04:57):
talking about him, but he tells a great story. J D. Martinez.
Who only don't Martinez? I think JD. Martinez is gonna
go on to be a great manager or bench coach
that they say. He's a great baseball mind. Played for
all of our teams at one point except yours. J D.
Martinez talks about how the Mets were flat last year.
He encouraged Carlos Mendoza and the Mets brass to call
(05:21):
up Jose Iglesias. He's like the kid's yappy in the clubhouse.
He's funny, won't shut up. Everyone likes this kid, and
then when they called him up to like wait and
he has a song and JD. Martinez goes Yo, when
he comes up for his first game, let's bust disuevos
a little bit and play a song and everyone's like, Yo,
this song is good. And JD. Martinez talks about how
(05:42):
that believe it or not meant so much to that
team last year. The OMG, that's a very Hispanic demographic.
Do you think the Padres fan base is embracing Juley
Oglesias Jose to all the girls I've loved before, they
think they embrace Jose Glaciers the same way. I mean,
(06:03):
they should have a lot of Latino players there too,
but I don't. I don't think it's the same. I
don't think it's the same magic. But again, I think
we're just talking like fan favorites and that same feeling
of the local celebrity. You know, will it translate everywhere?
Probably not? Danny g who comes to mind or what's
on your mind?
Speaker 3 (06:22):
Uh? For Southern California, Yasiel Puigue comes to mind, Like
I couldn't imagine him on another baseball team being as
popular as he was.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
He felt irrelevant once he left when he went to
the d and other places, or was like that exactly
what about Fernando Mania that that fit this market? Yeah,
there was something about it.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
And by the way, Tommy Cutlet's stats in the preseason.
He was thirty of thirty eight, three hundred and twenty
three yards four TD's one pick, had a passer rating
of one twenty six point two, and.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
His last appearance was solid. You know what, all combined,
I apologize you were right for his combined preseason stats.
Very good, Yeah, pretty good. I agree with Rich. We
may have seen the and not rooting against him, but yeah,
it's pretty obvious. When you have a lot of talent
in the quarterback position, it was no room for him.
(07:09):
Let's got a Doug in Maryland. I think he might
have an example here. What's up, Doug?
Speaker 4 (07:13):
Not really, that's not really.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
I have nothing to contribute. What's up?
Speaker 4 (07:17):
Well, you can't compare him to lead Mozilly Lee. Mozilli
was a great baseball player, and I think I think
Tommy's days are over. But the reason I'm calling because
I'm laughing out loud at all you guys and all
the country out there was saying that, uh that that
they wanted Senor to come to Vegas. Well, we we
got a quarterback. We got two starting quarterbacks now, and
(07:39):
I think, you know, the Gino gets in any trouble,
in comes Kenny, and everything's gonna be fine now, Danny
set off air. You know, he mentioned about the Raiders,
the defense is in a couple of places, there are
some question marks. I agree with him, but I think
that the Raiders are gonna be okay, and they're going
to be much better than they were last year.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
Would would you who would you argue that the Raiders
and the Giants are the two teams that might surprise
us a little bit as far as like, oh, maybe
they're a little further along than we thought. Because as
of right now, Danny, unfortunately you're Raiders and the Giants
both are projected to be towards the bottom of the league.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
Yeah, I'm really nervous about the Raiders defense. Offensively, they're
gonna score a lot of points. They're gonna be fun
to watch. Defensively, they're kind of like Swiss cheese right now,
and they don't and they lack a lot of depth,
and they lost a lot of guys to free agency,
so teams are going to score a lot of points
against them, so they're going to be in shootouts.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Well. To wrap up our previous conversation and thanks for
to call man. I think certain players are just more
beloved in certain places for whatever reason. And the same
thing in our industry, we worked with a guy named
vic Latino. Would that have worked somewhere else the same
way it worked in New York at the time when
he was a big deal, Right, He's not going to
be put on the radio in Boise, Idaho, exactly. It's
(08:54):
a local thing or a specific market thing, and people
love them, and that was the Da Vito vibe. But
I think he could still make it somewhere else and
do his thing, and we'll see what happens, because he
was released from the New York Football Giants.
Speaker 3 (09:08):
Unless there's a mania, unless there's like a mania that
sweeps the country. Yeah, because remember when reggaetone was the
thing for a couple of years. Yeah, and then you
heard those kind of morning shows in every market almost Yeah, yep.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
I'm thinking of players that were lightning in a bottle
and you're at it. So it's usually so specific to
a team, a moment and everything. So if you can
think of some more where they love that guy, you know,
hit us up eight seven, seven, nine nine on Fox,
Well just hit us up at Covin on Rich. Now
the other QB that usually gets a lot of attention
taking a back seat to Shador and some others this preseason,
(09:41):
Aaron Rodgers. I mean, we talk a hell of a
lot about him, but you know, the Steelers, we've already
made our assessments, right, Everyone's like, yeah, they'll probably be good,
but not good enough to really do anything. I think
the oral consensus on the Steelers is they'll be good,
but maybe probably not good enough. And again that's sort
of the Steelers mo o already. It might just be
(10:03):
a little better now. I think the consensus is, like, yo,
if they were ten and seven and won or lost
a wildcard game, you'd be like, yeah, sounds about right.
So Aaron Rodgers was quoted as saying life and sports
are a little easier when expectations are low, and he's
liking it. And I mentioned cam Ward Before cam Ward,
we've talked about Danny the lowest Madden rating for a
(10:25):
rookie quarterback that was drafted number one, the least talked
about number one pick in years. When you think about
how we've talked about Caleb Williams and all the years
before that, every quarterback class, cam Ward's like, just really.
Speaker 3 (10:42):
And some of this is because Tennessee has had their
problems the past couple of seasons, especially no.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
One saying Tennessee's making the plass.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
Meanwhile, test teams are being overlooked, and so cam Ward
is going to be overlooked him last year.
Speaker 1 (10:54):
Have you not said it before? There was people preseason like, yo,
Caleb Williams rookie year, better be taking the b to
the playoffs. You're like, that's a lot like no one
on earth is saying cam Ward better take the Titans
to the playoffs. No, I think he's right, because not
only in football, in life, it's hard to meet, like
I said, let alone exceed those expectations. But that's why
(11:15):
you also have to tip my Yankee hat, tip your
hat to guys that did live up to the hype.
It's hard to live up to the hype. Lebron James Man,
that guy was touted as a superstar when he was
in high school. So to meet that hype that's what
makes him a legend. It's not easy. So Aaron Rodgers
making a solid point, and I think there's a lot
less pressure based on his performance through the past few
(11:38):
years and the fact that most people are thinking, yeah,
they're gonna be good, but not go all the way. Hey,
we'll see. So it takes a lot of pressure off
of him to have a decent year and probably his
last year. Every aspect of your life, the goal is
to never The goal is to never have the expectations
to a level that you can't meet. Professional overhype and underproduced. Yea, professionally, personally, athletically,
(12:04):
you always want to under hype and overproduce. It's the
number one rule. Conveno's right. The number one rule always
is almost like downplay it a little bit like imagine
if you tak it's like you're a skill in the bedroom. Yeah.
Never tell a woman you're gonna get with like you're
I'm gonna rock your world more than any other guy
ever has. You're setting yourself up to be a dud.
Never tell your new boss that, oh, these sales projections,
(12:26):
I'll double that boss, Like, what are you doing. Don't
tell your wife you're on your way home from guys
night when you just ordered another round of drinks. People
love to overpromise and underdeliver, And I think what Aaron
Rodgers is sort of talking about here is over When
expectations aren't through the roof, it's easier to surprise people
and be like, Oh, like cam Ward, if the Tennessee
(12:49):
Titans go seven, ten, eight, and nine and are actually
like hovering a little under five hundred, you'd say, well,
that's a good start. Now you got nothing to lose
at that point. Yeah, right, If you come in with
all these expectations and all this hype, you have everything,
can I you're just letting You're just letting everybody down.
At that point, I'll give a dirty example based on
(13:10):
what we just said. I thought you already gave one.
No one has to do with you. Oh I remember
you and I were in our twenties and there's some
hot girl at the club that was like one of
those bottle service type girls. I remember she claimed to
be What did you say, like when it comes to beep,
I'm the best in the West or some nonsense. And
(13:31):
Cavino was like, yo, she hyped up like I'm going
to rock your World, and Covino was like, Yeah, wasn't
that great cause she overhyped. She overhyped. You just don't
ever want to overhype. Like like, I'll give you a
great example. Jay Stu from the Gottlieb Show. Love that guy.
He came out to play softball. J stel here, all
(13:52):
of them all producentall player, pretty good. Jay Stu came
out to play softball with my buddies. Jay stuel here,
dog on all what you think? He said, I'm a
decent ballplayer. He came out and he was way better
than I thought because he he set it up by saying,
I'm a decent ballplayer. I'll play wherever you need me.
(14:14):
Guy was ripping line drives. Now, you don't, you don't
join a new interm year old sports. You don't you
don't go pick play pick up basketball and say, uh, I.
Speaker 3 (14:23):
Thought you took Jay stew off the field on a stretcher.
Speaker 1 (14:25):
Though that's because he didn't stretch. He handed up. He
did go three for three and then pull the hand out. Okay,
but that's a different story. But again, you never want
to over promise under deliver the end. It's the number
one lesson in life. Relationship, sports anything and Aaron Rodgers.
He said, we might have a different feeling at the
(14:47):
end of this Steelers season. You know what, I'm excited
to go over this list next to any g because
when you when you think about where the Steelers are,
I said Aaron Rodgers when he joined the Jets. The
USA Today among other publications and journalists and people were saying,
Aaron Rodger, remember super Bowl, Super Bowl and must for
(15:08):
Aaron Rodgers and Adam winning the Super Bowl, right, like
winning or just playing winning. There were people that had
Aaron Rodgers and Jets winning. So maybe he's liking the
tone down expectations. We'll go over that list and we're
gonna do some trivia coming up, so a lot of fun.
You want to do it now, Danny or what? Yeah,
we have time right now. Actually, he gave me the
he gave me the offensive coordinator like huffing sideline, like like,
(15:29):
oh man, they should have went with the audible.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
I didn't throw my headset down yet though.
Speaker 1 (15:32):
Okay, so let's go over this list then, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
Let's do it all right, Fire up that NFL on
Fox Music.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
So is this our boy, Ralph fat Gie?
Speaker 3 (15:41):
Yeah, yeah it is We had fun with his power rankings.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
This guy yw forget abooy hey.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
NFL on Fox's lead guy for these lists. This is
a super Bowl tiers. According to him, I.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
Had super Bowl tiers when the forty goint Is lost
to the Chiefs a couple of years ago, had super
Bowl tiers, but then he ended up winning there.
Speaker 3 (16:01):
All right, So he's got five teams for NFL on
Fox said, he lists as top contenders. Guess the five.
Speaker 1 (16:08):
Okay, top tier contenders. The two Super Bowl participants last year,
the Chiefs and the Eagles, are on this list. The
Bill's definitely on this list. Three three so far.
Speaker 3 (16:20):
Bills, Chiefs, Ravens, Bam two more Joy Chiefs. Oh, did
you already say the winner from last year? Ravens Yes,
Eagles so one more.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
So Eagles, Chiefs, Ravens, Bills, Lions, Yes, top contenders all right?
The next tier, by the way, that's that's fair because
if not for Washington last year, Danny g upsetting the Lions,
it really we all thought it was gonna be Lions,
(16:50):
Eagles and Sure and the AFC. Those that's the three
headed monster, Chiefs, Ravens, Bills as of now right.
Speaker 3 (16:55):
The second tier. He's calling one breakaway and there are
six teams listed. They are one breakaway from getting to
the super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (17:04):
Okay, I'm gonna go Joe Burrow is this is the Joe,
the Joe Burrow year where they don't start oh and three?
Speaker 3 (17:09):
Yeah, no strikes on you guys yet beangals on there.
I don't know. I don't say you. I love the Vikings.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
No no, no, stop, they don't. They don't go Vikings.
What do you on drugs? I don't know. I think
I got one. I go on my forty nine ers.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
Yeah, for sure, one breakaway? Lock no buzz.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
This guy's crazy.
Speaker 2 (17:28):
What do you need?
Speaker 3 (17:29):
Strike on you man?
Speaker 1 (17:30):
Gianto doesn't know? Jack. I actually agree with rich on
what nine is it? Because if if you comes back
healthy and everything works out, they have a week ass schedule,
they could get there. Are all right? You know he's
gonna say, is going to say.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
The Calm Boys one breakaway? No, no, no, that's the we're
on the second tier. This is right under top contendent.
Say that because there's always something controversial. There's got to
be something. Let's let's go to packers. He puts, good call.
Packers are on the list so far. You got the
Packers and Bengals.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
They put the Chargers in there too, he did not
whoa a so.
Speaker 3 (18:07):
So two x's on you.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
One great away, thank you.
Speaker 5 (18:13):
I got it.
Speaker 1 (18:14):
I got it.
Speaker 2 (18:15):
I got it.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
I know I know the answer because I hate it.
The Denver bron Broncos put them in there.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
One breakaway, No three strikes category that.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
You guys did he put the stinky s Rams in there.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
No, wow, you guys will never guess this. He put
the Texans in there at one breakaway. I guess he
thinks c. J. Stroud is going to back down. Have
so many back in his third season. Yeah, so many weapons.
I don't hate that one, all right. And then think
of our favorite quarterback, our favorite rookie quarterback from last season,
Rich Washington. Yeah, got Redskins in there. He's got Coveno's
(18:48):
Baker Mayfield in there with the Bucks.
Speaker 1 (18:50):
I was thinking about that.
Speaker 3 (18:51):
And the guy you guys just got done talking about
Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers he calls one breakaway from
getting to the super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (18:59):
All right, third tier? Know what up and comers weren't
that bad? Uh? Yeah, since I wasn't thinking about.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
That, so it was Texans, Packers, Bengals, Commanders, Bucks, Steelers.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
I could I could get with the Bengals, Packers, Steelers.
Texans do have weapons. I don't know. I got to
see it, though. I got to see it. Bucks. I
always under rate. I don't know why I like Baker,
but I just feel like they're a ten and seven
playoff team that loses in the wild.
Speaker 3 (19:24):
I feel like to pick up Ye.
Speaker 1 (19:26):
So the third tier is up and comers got there.
Speaker 3 (19:29):
Three.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
This has to be Broncos in there.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
Broncos are there, Yes.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
Because that's that does a lot of hype. I thought
I would have thought the Bucks were on this one.
Does he all sports the Charges in that category?
Speaker 4 (19:40):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (19:40):
He did at all? Right.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
One more no, Jesus Christ.
Speaker 3 (19:46):
This is where the Minnesota Vikings are.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
J J mccar. He hates my Niners. I got to
call this guy all right.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
In the fourth tier on the fringe, three teams here
on the fringe for yes, your Niners are on the
fringe according to NFL on Fox two other teams Rams yes, oh,
one more.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
Vikings No, Vikings were oh yeah, Cowboys.
Speaker 3 (20:18):
Yes, whoa nice job? Nice work there. And then finally
the last tier is potential Cinderellas three teams Cinderella's.
Speaker 1 (20:31):
Mmmm, that's an interesting Cinderella Cinde fellas, right, Dana Dane
eminem style. Let's see, I'm thinking of all the thing,
not Cleveland, not the Raiders. I'm trying to go. Who
else would you put that? The Bears, yes, bad Bears
(20:52):
are uh two more? Not the Seahawks or Seahawks No, okay,
it was like who's in the Like, I'm not terrible,
but I maybe of a.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
Coaching change and a new offensive.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
They were in this already. You missed them. They were
in the last category.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
I don't think you guys are going to get the last.
The New England Patriots.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
Oh well yeah, coaching that whole roster, by the way,
the most changed over I believe in the NFL.
Speaker 3 (21:18):
Yeah, and they're definitely going to improve that.
Speaker 1 (21:20):
What was the hint you were given, Danny g.
Speaker 3 (21:22):
That was for the Patriots coaching. And then one last team.
The quarterback loves video games?
Speaker 1 (21:31):
Oh, Michael Pennix Junior Falcons.
Speaker 3 (21:35):
No, the Arizona Cardinals get out of town. Yeah, he's
got them as potential Cinderella's. He's gonna be five and twelve.
Speaker 1 (21:43):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
According to our resident Niners.
Speaker 1 (21:45):
What are your thoughts there? Ralph Faciano from NFL on Fox.
Those are his five categories super Bowl Tiers, super Bowl Tiers,
Well like it. He did his NFL power ranking. We
talked about that recently. What do you think about that?
I didn't hate it. Some surprises, but I didn't hate
it at all. Yeah. No, what I'm really proud of
(22:06):
I hate that. I'm hating that we didn't get all
of it. I'm proud of my dude, George Kittle and
his approach. He's every interview Kittle's doing, He's like, I
love it. I love that there's no drama, no one's
talking about us. We're gonna shock everyone and we're gonna
be great. So you mean the same thing that Aaron
Rodgers said, George Kittle's cooler and said it first. That's
the same thing. And I want to tell my kids,
I'm very proud of them. You know, they were giving
(22:26):
out ram shirts at my kids school and both of
my kids said, no, thanks, I don't want this.
Speaker 3 (22:32):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
Way to brainwash them. I mean, way to go kids,
Way to go, kids. Go Diners. We got more coven

Speaker 3 (29:21):
We have a tie breaker question if it's needed. Your
name is your buzzer, but you do have to wait
until all three possible answers are read. If there's two
wrong answers in a row, we move on to the
next question.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
Are you ready? Yes, let's get it on, all right,
Patrick Mahomes, I'm here. What are the most total points
ever scored in an NFL game? I figure out noticed
the most total points ever scored in an NFL game?
A one thirteen, B one twenty one or C one
O two rich rich one O two? See no, some
(29:54):
of them sounds like you thought wrong. Sounds like you've
been thinking about Taylor and Kelsey all day.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
And you want to try for the steal. Darren b
uh whatever that middle one B one twenty one. No,
you're both loser.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
All right, most total points ever scored NFL game is
A one thirteen? Is it? Rams Chiefs November twenty seventh,
nineteen sixty six Redskins beat the Giant seventy two forty one.
Speaker 3 (30:17):
Yeah, right, Skins?
Speaker 1 (30:18):
Patrick. I don't expect you to remember the game you
played in so many but don't you guys remember that
that Rams Chiefs game?
Speaker 3 (30:22):
There?
Speaker 1 (30:23):
I was like, I felt you was fifty something to
fifty something. I guess that wasn't the answer, Hi, Patrick?
Speaker 3 (30:28):
All right, round two? Nobody's on the board yet. All right?
Speaker 1 (30:33):
What was I once quoted saying about character? Okay, A,
I make sure that my friends are consistently good people. B.
Never change who you are and be the best you
could be. There or that done? Bonehead? I mean I
mean Darren. Uh see, sometimes when Max Crosby is chasing me,
(30:57):
I lose all self control and say really bad things.
But it's not who I am. So what did I
want to say?
Speaker 3 (31:04):
What do you got? Darren? B?
Speaker 2 (31:08):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (31:09):
I always say it never changed who you are, be
the best you can be, and don't sign the prenup.
I've always said that.
Speaker 3 (31:17):
Darren on the board as we moved around three, all.
Speaker 1 (31:21):
Right, Patrick mahomes here on a big day. But it's
a it's a nice break from all the questions about
Taylor and Travis. Round three. JaMarcus Russell went first overall
in the two thousand and seven draft. Who was picked
second overall? Hey, Joe Thomas, b Adrian Peterson or c
(31:43):
Calvin Johnson.
Speaker 3 (31:46):
Baron.
Speaker 5 (31:49):
Darrendam Line selected Hall of Famer Megatron get the second
pick that was in two thousand and seven, and thank
you Darren, Darren, congrats.
Speaker 3 (32:02):
He said it with his chest out and blew our
air drums out. I was gonna say, radio turned up
there for congrats, brother, Yeah, hang on the line. We're
gonna get you on the waiting list for our next price.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
Hey, speaking of chest out, Hey, Rich, take a look
at this on TikTok. Look at his chick whoa yeah
saying right, don't tell Britt about that, married Patrick, I know,
I know, but I'm hanging with the boys right now.
All right, all right, guys, Hey, Yeah, let's go. Hey,
congrats to Travis and Taylor. Now, good show guys, by Patrick,
(32:34):
Thanks good luck on the new season. Let's let's go
to I LO for an update. What's up?
Speaker 5 (32:40):
Well?
Speaker 7 (32:40):
I hope Patrick is out of earshot because Travis Kelsey
and Taylor Swept announced daring camp today on Instagram. Nothing
nothing to see here, Patrick, with a caption your English
teacher and your gym teacher are getting married now. Cavino
and Rich TMZ reports that a prominent on line gaming
(33:01):
site has already set odds on some wedding related details.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
You're ready to hear it.
Speaker 7 (33:08):
Jason Kelsey, of course, the favorite to be the best
man at minus five thousand, and that's not a surprise.
But here are the odds for Miss Swift's made of honor,
Abigail Anderson Bernard at plus three point fifty, Martha Hunt,
who is apparently not related to the Hunt ownership group
(33:29):
of the Chiefs at somebody else plus four hundred, Carly Kloss,
who I actually have heard of at plus five hundred,
and Selena Gomez at plus five hundred. Those are the
present odds. The outlet also has a prop bet entitled,
and I'm not making this up quote who will show
(33:49):
cleavage first? Donna or Jason Kelsey unquote. My money's on
Jason anyway. New Orleans Saints name Spencer Ratler their starting quarterback.
NFL Media reports the Los Angeles Chargers removing running back
Najee Harris from the non football injury list to the
active roster. Rookie Shador Sanders has made the Cleveland Browns
(34:11):
fifty three man roster and we'll serve as the third
string quarterback behind Joe Flacco and Dylan Gabriel, according to
the head coach Kevin Stefanski. Finally, Major League Baseball has
just suspended Saint Louis Cardinals first baseman Wilson Contreres six
games for his actions during last night's contest against the
Pittsburgh Pirates, in which he made physical contact with an
(34:33):
umpire and then through a bat, only to have it hit.
A Cardinals coach back to you, guys, that.
Speaker 1 (34:39):
Was a wild moment for Contreras. I know you've seen
that a couple times in the last week or so,
where players are are throwing bats. We can't make that
a habit image League Baseball, not at all. But hey,
we got more Kavino and rich coming up. We'll take
some feedback, some phone calls, and I do want to
say that it was cool to hear President Trump speak
(34:59):
kindly of Kelsey and Taylor shift considering they politically don't agree.
That's how we should all be. You don't need to
agree with someone politically to wish them well. I think
that's very important to take away today. All right, we
got more CNR next on FSR. Oh yeah CNR Yeah.
(35:20):
On FSR Covino and Rich Yeap doing it live from
the Fox Sports Radio studio on For over forty years,
tire Rack been helping customers find the right tires or how,
what and where they drive, ship fast and free, free
road hazard protection, convenient installation options like mobile tire installation
now tyre way early. Didn't those two hours just fly by?
(35:41):
Hope you had as much fun as we did. Thank
you Fox Sports Radio Nation, and thanks for subscribing to
our YouTube channel putting a lot into that. Elijah and
the team Sager spot doing a lot behind the scenes
to make us look cool again. Is Fox Sports Radios

and Rich FSR Coveno and Rich FSR on YouTube streaming live.
(36:02):
There's a live chat and we appreciate it and definitely
check the podcast too. Over promised our bonus podcast episode
one oh five and just search Covino and Rich wherever
you stream your podcast now tomorrow. Rich already midweek and
that's pretty major. So we go over the biggest headlines
in sports and pop culture Midweek Major with Danny G.
This week. Danny G's gonna break down the stories and
(36:23):
we decide are they midweek or major? Now, there's a
story don't tell us Laylor Shift and Travis Cakelsele. That's
like the only story. I just read a funny meme.
Speaker 3 (36:33):
It's that boy.
Speaker 1 (36:33):
Imagine being a lifelong swiftye and you find out after
all these years, she's engaged from Adam Schefter, Like that's
who breaks the news deal. Yeah, it's true. He's got
him shifter in correlation to the Big three Ice Cubes
Big three that's the thing. Yeah, that's yeah, it's really cool.
(36:57):
He in Orlando. It's in Orlando. He Orlando.
Speaker 3 (37:03):
Yeah. This past weekend Mario Chalmers had the game winning shot.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
Yeah, it's actually pretty good. How am I supposed to
be watching that one? I'm so busy worried about shad
Or Sanders being sabotaged. Come on, he actually paid for
a blimp to fly around Orlando to promote the Big
Three and since it was a good day, what do
you think the blimp said, I don't know what did
(37:27):
she say? Everyone blimp used to be like what you
would call a fat.
Speaker 3 (37:31):
Person of even saw the lights of the goodyear? Blimp said,
ice Cube is a pimp.
Speaker 1 (37:37):
That's so funny, and that's a pretty cool promo to
promote his own league and to promote the Big Three championships.
So this actually did happen. And you know it's based
on the very famous song today was a good day,
so it was a good day. Pimp on a blimp,
it's like yelf on a shelf. Ice Cube is a pimp.
And it made us think of best promos and best
(37:58):
promotions in warts. And it's a double doozy because well,
there was another I guess sports promo in Detroit based
on you said, based on Magnum Pi, based on Blue Bloo.
Speaker 3 (38:11):
They do this every year. They do Magnum p I
Day in Detroit.
Speaker 1 (38:14):
They all dress up. It's like that thing you went
to dressed up like Missus roper Rich, remember when you
went to that bridge went to Missus roperthon or three companies.
He's not he's sort of telling the truth. I was
in Jersey and I happen to go to a bar
where there was a miss there was a roper. All
these women dress up like missus roper. And you're saying
the same thing happens in Detroit, where everyone dresses up
(38:36):
like Tom Selleck now dressed up like that one particular
rescue ranger that wears the Hawaiian Jones One's magnum p I.
Speaker 3 (38:46):
Yeah, you mentioned this TV show coulde and where that
comes into plays. This is the first time magnum p
I has been available to actually go there and be
a part of it.
Speaker 1 (38:53):
That's cool.
Speaker 3 (38:53):
And he was on the Detroit broadcast yesterday. Listen.
Speaker 8 (38:56):
I never been able to come to the park and
thank him because I was doing Blue Bloods for fifteen years,
so it was really nice to see them. They would
like three hundred people up there, kids, just Vick with mustach.
Speaker 2 (39:08):
Amazing.
Speaker 8 (39:10):
I'm glad the show survived. The show's in the Smithsonian
and for a very good reason. Quiet shirt and the
Detroit hat and my little team ring is maybe next
to Archie Bunker's chair or so.
Speaker 9 (39:22):
You were getting ready for mister Baseball and you were
part of spring training in the ninety one. From everything
that I've read, you know, all the guys said that
you were they weren't what they were expecting, like with
the Hollywood actor coming in, and that you immersed yourself
really into just being one of the guys, and they
gave it back.
Speaker 1 (39:37):
To you a little bit too.
Speaker 8 (39:38):
I did, and I was glad. You know, if they
don't mess with you, they don't like you. So and
I was a rookie most of the time. They treated
me like a rookie, Like when we went to Bradenton.
That's where I met Jim Leland. He was at the
Pirates and he asked me over and was very nice.
But my job was to get my stuff together and
go out the front door draw the crowd so they.
Speaker 1 (39:58):
Could all stick out. That's Tom Selleck in the booth
in Detroit celebrating Magnum p I Day. And what's shocking
to me is, well, how old is Tom Sellick. That's
number one. Number two is the fact that he's been
doing Blue Bloods for fifteen years, so long that he
(40:19):
was never able to attend double. That's been on double
the amount of time that Magnum p I was. That's crazy.
Speaker 3 (40:24):
Eighty.
Speaker 1 (40:25):
Yeah, I feel its fantastic for him, man, and all
our moms still want him. A lot of people don't remember,
but he took batting practice with Detroit.
Speaker 3 (40:33):
Remember in what yard.
Speaker 1 (40:34):
He's fantastic. I will see you guys tomorrow. Have a
great Tuesday night. Until then, rivare in the promise Land. Goodbye, guys,
