A Happy All Star Monday, and things are already crazy
as we are just starting the week.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
We're doing great. They're on break. We're almost feeling like
we're on break. We're doing great.

Speaker 1 (00:28):
They are on break because they're on All Star break.

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Right.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
They were up early, relatively early in for Dan Patrick
today on The Dan Patrick Show as the guys were
broadcasting live from the All Star Game festivities in Atlanta.
So you got Manzi and myself hanging out for the
next two hours. We are going to talk some All
Star Game. In fact, Monty and I are going to

(00:52):
debate something because guests who's on jury duty watch this week?
Mancy Milanos, Yes, she is in today, but will she
be in tomorrow?

Speaker 2 (01:02):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
We will find out. Jason Stewart is here, our executive producers,
so everybody, Isaac Low and Crown is at the news.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Desk Monty just say you hate criminals and everyone's guilty.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Well, yeah, I'll see what I do. I don't even
know if I'm gonna have to report you. I just
have to call later. Today.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
All of us will give you our jury duty experience
and what can help. Ryan Smith is on the ones
and twos. Hello Ryan, Hello, Just write your excuse and crayon.
They will not ask you back. I did not serve
on a jury, but I was drawn at one point
to as they were trying to pick the jury, and

(01:40):
sat through the whole process. It wasn't just like you
got to call it every day and not show up.
I had to show up. Not only did you show
up in the waiting room, they brought you into a
courtroom for.

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Events like real stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Yes, real stuff. So we'll give you some hints on
I don't think you should try to avoid it. I
think it is our civil duty.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
I know it is, but it's so annoying. I understand,
I get it.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
But it also means that you can maybe get some
work done. I brought some work with me that I
thought I was going to be able to get done
during that time. It's not all bad, but you're doing
your civic duty, just like we are in arguing over
quarterback rankings. Because that is the headline today ESPN on
a night where home runs will be flying out of

(02:24):
the ballpark in Atlanta in advance of tomorrow's spotlight on
the All Stars. We're talking NFL quarterbacks today because ESPN
started a series ranking the quarterbacks, running backs, and players
in the NFL at their positions, and the series started today.
This will be going on over the next week or

(02:45):
so where they get information from scouts, from coaches, from
executives and end up ranking the quarterbacks in the National
Football League. What I thought was surprising, as chaos reigned
supreme in our pre show meeting, I took one thing
for granted, and I was completely I misjudged it. I

(03:09):
felt that the sense that I got ultimately was way
off base. I thought the true drama in all of this,
and I still think there is drama, is what happens below.
What is the current Mount Rushmore of active NFL quarterbacks.
But when you look at them Mount Rushmore, there is
a George Washington, and by that I mean there is

(03:32):
a face in front. Now. I don't know if Jefferson
and Lincoln I don't know if Lincoln's at the end.
You did, You've done media and TV stuff. Sometimes when
you do an opening credits, it's better to be at
the end because then they'll say, and Mancy Belanos as Cindy.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
That would be and you remember it.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Yes, and there is monetary stuff with that. Jason Stewart's
appeared in sitcoms as well. There is something to the
order that you are in in the opening credits, and
there is added value at the end, as you would say,
you know, yes, that's the big one. I was thinking,

(04:14):
mister Belvidere, because I thought Bob Bucher was the was
the last one, and but there is there's added value
to that. You are not eighth in line, you're actually
second in line, because whoever's first is first. They're the
they're the headliner, they're the big one. But then there's
there's value at the back end, and you may pay
more to that. So here's where I messed up in

(04:35):
talking about sitcoms and everything. I thought that first four.
I'm like, everybody pretty much agrees on this. Yeah, Like
we're all pretty good with saying Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen,
Joe Burrow, and Patrick Mahomes are the top four quarterbacks
in the National Football League, and I feel like I
was mistaken because Manzi came in hot, even though she

(04:58):
does not have her wallet in.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
All of this, who knows where it's at.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
There's discussions and when you start to start to peel
this onion away. Of these rankings, you'll see Patrick Mahomes
lowest ranking four, Lamar Jackson lowest ranking this year. Six.
You see Josh Allen, some exec or coach or GM
put him fourth. There is stuff within this top four.

(05:21):
When I thought all the drama happened.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
After number four, I mean yeah, the drama for me
instantly when I saw this, I was like, oh, Patrick
Mahomes is still number one. He gets dethroned at Super Bowl,
gets outplayed at the Super Bowl, has not a great year,
and he's still number one. That's interesting.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
Okay, if you had a vote, because Patrick Mahomes was
put forth in all of this, if you had a vote,
who would you put at number one?

Speaker 2 (05:52):
Is this based on just last year's performance? Yes, it
would obviously be be two between Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen.

Speaker 1 (06:01):
Okay, those two.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
If it's based just on last year's performance, those one
of those two I thought would be number one.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Let's let's let's do a little mix then, okay, because
obviously Patrick Mahomes isn't but there's a reason that he's
up there, so it can't be on last year if
you were to mix it is it's still Josh Allen
and Lamar Jackson.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
If I'm thinking of their entire careers. Is because it
looks like that's what this ranking is right over the
course of their careers.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
I think it is an absolute sliding scale when you
end up reading the reasons why quarterbacks are thought to
be good and thought to be not. And I'll just
say this, Patrick Mahomes is being criticized because of a deteriorated,
deteriorating offensive line.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
Fair.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
I think it's absolutely unfair because I mean, and the
reason being is, Okay, so now are we getting more
of a look at Patrick Mahomes because his offensive line
is so now we're going to discredit anybody who has
a reasonable wall in front of them, like that's.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Like that wall makes a difference. That wall absolutely makes
a difference. Is it fair? That's maybe the question, but
that is a factor. Yes, we are seeing a different
play from Patrick Mahomes that we're not used to seeing.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
I think it can be a I think it's can
be used as so when Patrick Mahomes lost the Super Bowl,
the Chiefs lost the Super Bowl to the Buccaneers. They
didn't have any tackles in the game. Their two tackles
were out and it showed the Buccaneers got after the
dominated them. That is where I say, well, he didn't
have any any tackles. But we can't play this game

(07:40):
because it's picking and choosing, because we would do this
for every every team in the National Football League. Two
is about to play behind one of the worst lines
in the National Football League. Do you think we're going
to give him any grace whatsoever?

Speaker 2 (07:52):
No?

Speaker 1 (07:53):
No, absolutely not, absolutely not. Gino Smith can't catch a break.
We know what Seattle has done with their offensive line
over the past decade plus. They have not invested in
it at all, and we're Gino Smith. And that may
be in part for Gino Smith. The point is we're
not doing this to the other quarterback CJ. Stroud, the Texans,

(08:13):
for some reason stunk last year. Is an offensive line,
but nine times out of ten, we're talking about how
c J. Stroud took a step back from last year
to the year before. That's what I just don't think
is fair.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
I mean, you're not wrong that the grace is usually
given when they've already performed and done it, when they've
reached what Patrick Mahomes has reached, or even Lamar Jackson,
you know, with his MVPs, with the ones you just mentioned,
they're not getting the grace, and maybe they should get
the grace for the reasons you mentioned, like the O
line that too is about to have for this year.
But they don't get the grace because they haven't done it.

(08:44):
It's like, what am I giving you grace for? Is
that fair? No? But that's the reality.

Speaker 1 (08:48):
It's the world that they live in.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
It is the world.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
I get it. I get it. And if Patrick Mahomes
had to play behind the line that to a place
in Miami maybe isn't even close to what's going on.
But I do think Patrick Mahomes is a quarterback also
is better equipped to maybe handle some of the deficiencies
they may have in the line. I think that the Chiefs,
in terms of when they tried to build up their line,
also tried to help their running game in a lot

(09:10):
of ways. Starting to split hairs here. But it's just
that was one of the lines in there that was
used against Patrick Mahomes. If you have a deteriorating offensive line.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
I think with these top four, you're splitting hairs with
all of them. You can make an argument for yes,
you know what I mean, for all of them to
shuffle around. And that's why think with Joe Burrow in
his ohole line.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
Well, that's the thing that I thought heading into this
argument was I felt like we took everything with a
grain of salt and are just under the understanding that
there's a big four, that there is a current Mount
Rushmore in the National Football League, not necessarily caring who
is the George Washington head of this quarterback and maybe

(09:52):
it's Mahomes because when you look at the the other
three that are there, with Lamar and Josh Allen and
Joe Burrow, Mahomes is the one to be the first.

Speaker 2 (10:03):
He's George Washington of these of these right now, Yes, absolutely.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
So there's there's some of those of those four, of
those four because Matthew Stafford ends up being put into
the rankings and it's so funny, not in the top four,
but Matthew Stafford did receive a few top four votes.
I don't think any of us would say that right
now when we look at the current class of quarterbacks
in the National Football League, that Matthew Stafford is number four.
And it's no disrespect to him. He's just in the

(10:30):
sunset of his career. There are injuries that are piling up.
But somebody did think that right now, maybe to your
point of what last year was that he was fourth
in the National.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Football League, and those people I feel that have ranked
him at four give him the grace for what he
did when immediately landing in LA. Yes, he's delivered. So
it's like he gets that grace.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
He gets a fast track.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
He gets a fast track. That's not fair, but that's
why he gets the grace, and that's why he gets
the fast track. I am also surprised a Chargers fan
that I see Justin Herbert here. I feel like he
gets a lot of criticism for not delivering, for losing
games where they have the lead. It's like everyone including me,

(11:13):
still holding on to what is Justin Herbert actually capable of.
He gets the grace because of Hope.

Speaker 1 (11:22):
I think of all the stuff that we talk about
that he probably gets the bigger pass on it because
of what is or what isn't around him. They now
have invested heavily into that offensive line. And so if
we're talking about the same Patrick Mahomes sort of thing.
While it's used as a bit of a scapegoat for

(11:44):
Patrick Mahomes, I almost feel that it should be used
as something that maybe would hinder Justin Herbert. I'd I
just look at Justin Herbert as having everything that you
would want in a quarterback.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
Yeah, And I think that's what a lot of people feel.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
And that's why he's it's a gift and it's a
curse because he has the size, he has the arm,
he has the mobility, he has everything that you would
want in a quarterback. And so when you're doing your
quarterback ranking and we're using to your point, was this
twenty twenty four? Is this your career? Is this what

(12:21):
you have done? Is this what's around you? There's a
lot of stuff that with Justin Herbert can be used
as excuses, But ultimately, when you're saying this is the
guy that I would want, he checks all the boxes.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
And it's always so split with Justin Herbert, even looking
at this lowest ranking unranked. There are people who didn't
rank him at all, and then the highest one is three.
He's such a split when it comes to the opinion
that people have of.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
Justin Herbert as a Chargers fan. I'm sorry to put
you on the spot. And I'll even have Jason come
in and Isaac come in as well, because Isaac does
the korem post game for the Chargers. Can you guys
tell me what Justin Herbert's moment is in the National
Football League? Yeah, no, it's Isaac Longcron.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
I hate to say it because it was a long
time ago, but he put together as great of a
performance individually as you will ever see in this league.
In the regular season finale of his second year twenty
twenty one, literally the final game of the regular season,
Raiders versus Chargers. Winner goes to the playoffs, loser goes home.

(13:27):
He carried the team. There were seven season on the
line plays in that game, meaning it's a fourth down
or there's one second left, and if you don't make
any of those seven plays, you lose. And he completed
passes on all seven against a ferocious pass rush. I

(13:47):
think he had to throw like thirty two out of
thirty three times in that game and the prob You know,
that answered all questions about Justin Herbert individually in that game.
But to your point, Dan, that was something that was
four years ago. The playoff sample size is only two games,
which they lost for reasons they really didn't have to

(14:08):
do with him.

Speaker 2 (14:09):
There haven't been a lot of that's a good one.
I mean, I'm gonna go more recent this past year
against the Bengals that game in la at so Far
where the Chargers were were, came out hot and they
looked great, and then you started getting the feeling that
you got against Jacksonville because the Bengals started cutting that
deficit and you were like, is Justin Herbert and the

(14:33):
Chargers are they gonna let this one slip? But they didn't,
and he threw two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter
to preserve that game. But for a moment, it was like,
oh my gosh, that moment of Justin Herbert and the
Chargers are gonna let this one slip again when they
were up by double ditch Sure, I.

Speaker 3 (14:52):
Got to yeah, what wasn't that the game where one
of those the go ahead touchdown pass he was basically
getting knocked down.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
Yes, yes, he had two good touchdown passes in the
fourth quarter and one of them he was getting knocked down.

Speaker 1 (15:03):
This is all perfect because I think the Bengals wore
orange pants in that game. I think, yes, yes, that's
what I remember most and what we remember most in
the Chargers game. Unfortunately for Justin Herbert is the Raiders
going for the win. Everybody getting the Brandon Staley time
out wrong and criticizing Brandon Staley for what happened in
that scenario and saying that he was an idiot when

(15:24):
he wasn't like that was It was completely as Raider
fan Ryan am, I am I right? Do you just try? Yes? Yes, yes, yes, yes, Dan,
you are correct, because it was like people want to
just use that situation and they took it and ran
and didn't understand football. And so Brandon Staley, for as

(15:45):
much as he did wrong, he wasn't wrong in that scenario.
The Chargers just needed to tackle Josh Jacobs on the
ensuing play that wouldn't have allowed Daniel Carlson to kick
a forty eight yard field goal. So i'm i'm I
think all of this this was great and it's perfect,
But again I remember the pants and it's a game
that the Chargers lost again, not to Justin Herbert's fault,

(16:08):
but that's what it is. So when you have someone
like Jalen Hurts, and this is the part that frustrates me,
is because Jalen Hurts does not have the height, Jalen
Hurts is more of a dangerous runner than Justin Herbert is.
Justin Herbert is very mobile, but not like Jalen Hurts.
And so now you take then Jalen Hurts plays behind

(16:30):
this offensive line that is great. So now this goes
to the Mahomes argument. We're talking about Patrick Mahomes and
maybe we may affect him because of the offensive line,
but then when we try to analyze Jalen Hurts, we
don't do the same. Now, listen, if the Eagles, I
feel if the Eagles, if the Chargers, if you had
an opportunity to pick your quarterback from scratch, it's probably

(16:55):
Justin Herbert because he checks the boxes of tall arm
Mobile and the whole deal. I just think we completely
discredit someone like Jalen Hurts because of how good of
a runner that he can be, or we say Jalen
Hurts has a great offensive line, look at all the
weapons around him. How about Jalen Hurts not turning over

(17:16):
the football? How about Jalen Hurts getting the football to
the people that he needs to get the football to,
which you may think that that's lowering the bar. It's
a lot more difficult than you would think. Completion percentage wise,
Jalen Hurts did those things. And that's the problem that
I have is you look at Jalen Hurts in these
rankings and he's ninth, ninth after so it's like, what

(17:39):
does the guy have to do after winning a Super
Bowl to be able to even be in the top ten,
Like this is likely the highest that he's ever going
to be. And so Jalen Hurts is not getting that
grace that I feel someone like Justin Herbert has had
because Justin Herbert checks these boxes of what we think
is a prototypical quarterback. That's just not in my mind. Yeah,

(18:01):
it's nice to be six' five and to have the
cannon of an arm that That Justin herbert, Has but
if you're getting me first, downs if you're getting me
into the end, zone if you have a play that
is unstoppable because of your, Quads i'm, sorry like you have.
To you have to take everything into account and not
just live in the bubble of the check marks that

(18:21):
you are living. In and that's what a thing some
execs and scouts.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
Are you are not wrong on your descript description of
How Jalen hurts is looked at or criticized or the.
OPINIONS i everyone thinks that the quarterback sneak is is
not a skilled, play and it's, like, well nobody else
can do, it especially to the success Of Jalen hurts
and The. Eagles AND i was for, it not you,

(18:47):
know banning that if you figure out how to stop
it or you you, know do it as. Well and
he does not get. GRACE i don't know what he
has to. Do and just like he just thrown mahomes
where it's, like, okay mahomes can't go, down but this
guy's nine when you have seen his play get better
over the, years you, KNOW i think years AGO i
may have said THAT i found The eagles a little.
BORING a couple of years AGO i have said that

(19:10):
they Are they're. Not they're no longer, boring you know
WHAT i? Mean their their offense is definitely spiced things
up AND i don't know what he has to, do
AND i don't think HE i really don't think there
is anything he can.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
Do, no not not if you're putting him ninth after
a year where he did progress in a lot.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
Of different and won The Super.

Speaker 1 (19:29):
Bowl and again it's almost like Taikuon barkley is being
held against.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Him that's another good.

Speaker 1 (19:33):
Right for as much as for as much AS i
think people would Take Justin herbert Over jared excuse me
Over Jalen, Hurts Jared goff is. Eighth, YEAH I I
i'm Just i'm surprised again That Jared goff would be
ahead Of Jalen.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
Hurts.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
ABSOLUTELY i feel LIKE i pile On Jared goff a
lot for what may have went on at the end
of The rams. Tenure there's no arguing what he was
second in passing yards last. Year but it's also A
detroit team that again is set up a certain. Way
so if we're going to use one criteria to Criticize Jalen,
hurts then you can't use the same one to Commend Jared.
Goff and for a team that was second in THE

(20:12):
nfl on places run last.

Speaker 2 (20:14):
Year with your example of THE Sa Kwan barkley being
used Against Jalen. HURTS i don't know If Derrick henry
was used Against Lamar. Jackson, sure and that's a perfect.

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Example so here were the, rankings AND i apologize for
not doing this off the. Top mahomes, One mahomes, One
Josh allen To Joe burrow, Three Lamar jackson. Four so
that was the four THAT i thought was. Unarguable but we,
CAN i, guess argue within the placements if you. Want
on This mount. Rushmore Jayde daniels was. Five on the,
OUTSIDE i think it's a very trendy, pick But Jade

(20:45):
daniels also has everything THAT i would want in a,
quarterback even more so than Even Jalen, hurts BECAUSE i
feel That daniels is a better passer Than Jalen. Hurts
stafford is. Sixth then you Have Justin, Herbert then you
Have Jared, goff then you Have jalen. H, hurts and
then you Have Baker.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
Mayfield, Yeah baker's number.

Speaker 1 (21:03):
Ten and then then they cut it off at. Ten
they Said Jordan love and. C. J stroud were honorable.
Mention but that right now is your top ten quarterbacks
according to THIS espn ranking of execs and coaches AND nfl.

Speaker 2 (21:16):
Personnel it's literally just for us to discuss and tear a.

Speaker 1 (21:21):
Party it. Is but how in the world Is Lamar
jackson ever going to be four higher than? Fourth if
he's not higher than what he was right?

Speaker 2 (21:29):
Now that, WAY i don't know about that. One and
how Is Patrick mahomes going to come down if he
didn't come down after last?

Speaker 1 (21:34):
Season, YEAH i don't.

Speaker 2 (21:35):
KNOW i don't know how you move. THIS i don't know.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
How let's let's do this as we wrap up this.
Segment so it's how Does Lamar jackson ever? Grow how
Does Patrick mahomes ever? Fall how do people In cleveland
still have? Jobs If Baker mayfield is at? Ten do
we have do we? Have how Did tua good votes

(21:59):
in this? Considering that's all we do is shred to
Ah and how Is Bo nicks the only other rookie
quarterback in these?

Speaker 2 (22:08):
Rankings all good, Questions, yes, People Bo.

Speaker 1 (22:12):
Nix, Kyler, Murray Aaron, Rodgers Dak, Prescott Brock purdy were
others who were mentioned in these. Rankings did we miss?
Anymore How's Jason Ryan? ISAAC i there's just a lot
of questions in all of, This but how Is Jared
goff higher Than Jalen. Hurts how Is Jalen hurts ever
going to get up from number?

Speaker 2 (22:31):
NINE i don't know HE i have no idea what
he has to.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
Do She's Monty. Belanos I'm Dan. Bayer did WE i
think we, Exhausted we squeezed the juice out of these quarterback. Rankings?

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Yeah fine.

Speaker 1 (22:42):
AGAIN i thought five to ten was where like the
real conversation was because Of hurts and then to your
point About mahomes and Then Lamar, jackson AND i didn't
even think we did a deep dive On Josh. Allen
he was THE mvp last.

Speaker 2 (22:54):
YEAR i know we were content with him at. Second,
YEAH i think that's what it.

Speaker 1 (22:59):
Was honestly fine with any of them in the top.
Four if you told me That lamar was four Or
lamar was one and not, Four i'd be, like all, right, Cool,
Yeah Josh allen, one, four all.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
Right i'm.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
Cool Joe, burrow WHO i think is, Great AND i even,
said coming in from, COLLEGE i thought That Joe burrow
just because always stands in the, pocket looked Like Tom.
BRADY i just THINK i feel like he resembles. Him
more than anybody else. Does but if you were to
Put Joe burrow at, ONE i would be, like tell me,
more tell me, More, yes. Yes and Then Patrick mahomes

(23:33):
Is Patrick, mahomes which it's tough to, argue but to your, point,
now how are you ever not going to be one after?

Speaker 2 (23:38):
That? Exactly all?

Speaker 1 (23:40):
Right She's Monty. Blaio So I'm Dan. Byer the guys

Lol now he's not number.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
Five it was not number.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
Five but STILL i Think chris's point is a little
bit of what's here. Now The Lamar jackson haters would, say,
well Where's lamar's playoff? Success where's this huge run of playoff?
Success Even Josh allen for the great games that he
had and how close they were to knocking off The
chiefs and the divisional. Playoffs it's kind of the same.

(24:48):
Thing BUT i would JUST i just thought the tweet Was.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
Finney it was.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
NO i chuckled not to make it. Personal BUT i
don't Think chris is one hundred percent objective because his
profile picture includes someone in A Joe burrow jersey and
he's apparently From.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
Ohio i'm just SAYING i think it's a cute. Picture
it's a little. Kid, yes, Yes, chris uh, yeah good. Job,
YEAH i get. It BUT i will say, THIS i
think that we're always Taking Joe burrow ahead Of Justin.
Herbert so the top, four there's no there's no threat
Of Justin herbert right, now right, now right, now breaking

(25:24):
the top. Four but things could change in twenty twenty.

Speaker 2 (25:26):
Five, yeah we've been saying that for a few. Years
we'll keep saying.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
It let's go to the update. Desk Isaac lonkrong gives
us the latest of what's.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
Happening But i'm not cypers talking our.

Speaker 1 (25:35):
Listeners that's that's. Great love the after, Show, yeah big.
Fans and, again if you don't rich are In atlanta
at The All Star, Game they'll be there tomorrow again
With Dan. Patrick Will Moncy blanios be here, tomorrow we
don't know because she's on jury. Duty she is on jury.
Duty today is, clean but we don't know about tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (25:53):
Yet we don't. Know we won't know for a few.
Hours so.

Speaker 1 (25:57):
Just like that pitching matchup bullpen game tea who the starter,
Is just like, THAT i will be, here we just
don't know If Monty bolanos will BE.

Speaker 2 (26:06):
I could do it From jerry. Duty i'll just be
on the. Phone i'll let you guys.

Speaker 1 (26:11):
Listen we're gonna have a play On monzi's current situation
coming up next. Hour but right now we have more important.

Speaker 4 (26:17):
Things i've watched twenty twenty. Five i'm watched twenty twenty.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
Five it launched on the week of the fourth Of.
July Monty bolangos AND i were in On Fox sports,
radio and it is All lebron all the. Time what
a weekend it was For, Lebron what a weekend it.
Was dave mcmanhaman OF espn reports that four teams have
Contacted Rich paul to say that they are interested in

(26:42):
trading for The. Star and you just gave me the open, Hands,
like what's the? Deal did you see my tweet THAT
i sent out Late. Saturday this is not the biggest
portion of, it BUT i just don't understand the motion
or the example That Rich paul is. GIVING i also
Gave manzi like miiliseconds to answer BEFORE i just continued to.

(27:02):
TALK i realized that you're.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
Good, no you're.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
Good you can't if you're another, team you can't reach
out to an agent and say we'd like to acquire
your player when that player as signed the contract and
is under contract with another. Team it's what they call.
Tampering watched twenty twenty, Five i've watch so think about.
This think about. This The knicks go To giannis's, Agent,

(27:28):
hey we'd like you In New. YORK i just decided
to deal with The. Bucks, yeah but you're gonna make
more money In New. York we're.

Speaker 4 (27:34):
Interested you've watched twenty twenty. Five you can't watch do.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
That guess what you want to get out Of, Miami Jimmy,
butler come, here come. Here, yeah, yeah you can't do.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
That, well just like we're talking ABOUT nfl quarterbacks getting some,
Grace lebron apparently gets. Grace apparently you can tamper when
it comes To Lebron james and it's. Okay you can
even tell the masses about, it and it's. Okay he
gets that.

Speaker 1 (27:55):
Grace Watched Watch then we found then we found the
teams that apparently Called Rich paul so they can be
fined in doctors draft picks for doing. This, Yeah, Mavericks
i've watch twenty twenty.

Speaker 4 (28:09):
Five i'll watch twenty twenty.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
Five warriors.

Speaker 4 (28:13):
Watch twenty twenty, Five i'm watch twenty twenty.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
Five we know The calves would call absolutely.

Speaker 4 (28:19):
Watch twenty twenty. Five, yeah watch twenty twenty.

Speaker 1 (28:21):
Five and The clippers, no, yes.

Speaker 4 (28:24):
No watch twenty twenty. Five, no that's the?

Speaker 1 (28:27):
Report was? It scoop be, yes?

Speaker 2 (28:31):
Scoopy it was something like, That AND i was, like
is this a real? Thing, no stay away from The, Clippers,
lebron go ruin another, Franchise go bother another franchise stay
away from The. Clippers, no thank.

Speaker 1 (28:42):
You i'm not surprised they'd be The. Warriors i'm very
surprised it would Be.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
Dallas why that would be so great For Nico. Harrison
why the sorry screw? Again, yeah. Exactly the story would, Continue.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
And I'm i'm not surprised by The, clippers not surprised
by The, warriors surprised by The, MAVs not surprised by The.
Calves But Brian windors said recently it'd be very difficult
for The cavaliers to be able to do something like
darn near.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
Impossible whatever team thinks they can trade For, lebron you're
gonna have to give up so much you, think, Yes, Sex.

Speaker 1 (29:21):
You're gonna have to give. Up you're gonna have to
give up something to make it, work if because Of lebron's.
Salary BUT i don't think The lakers want to boatload in,
return because if he's gonna pull this crap and, Again,
latz you said. It he tweeted a congratulation to the
contract extensions that were given to members of The cavaliers' front. Office,

(29:45):
yes he's gonna go back. Home one of them is his.
Boy it's his. Boy But lebron tweeted five times in
the month Of. June he's tweeted at least twice as
much In july and we're at the. Fourteenth how DO
i know that my half birthday is in two days
and that's the midway point of the. Month that's how it.
COME i.

Speaker 2 (30:02):
Know, yeah here's my. THING i feel that Like lebron
will not let himself be traded for a low ball
package because then he admits that he is not worthy of.
It he's gonna be, like, no, no, no you need to
throw in a bunch of people because that's What i'm.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
WORTH i understand that it's like the company you keep
exactly this is what you, got.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
RIGHT i JUST i.

Speaker 1 (30:28):
Don't think any team is equipped to Acquire Lebron.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
James, no of course.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
Not and so that's why that's why when The lakers
said we're not going to give you a longer, contract
it kind of screwed things up For lebron and why
it made this upcoming year so. Bad but there's really
no other nothing that really any other team can do
to make this work except figuring out a buy out With,
lebron WHICH i don't think he's going to, do which

(30:54):
is the reason why he opted into his. Contract he
could have just been a free agent you wanted, to
but he's, LIKE i want MY i want my. MONEY
i don't even think a buyout is on the. TABLE i
get what you're, Saying like you're gonna say like you're
not Gonna you're not gonna Have lebron end up being
traded for you, know two packs of baseball, cards, RIGHT
i get. That, yeah but there's really nothing much that

(31:17):
they can do BECAUSE i don't think any team and
again it's we're not talking about the twenty nine other
teams outside of The. Lakers we're talking a select few
That lebron would be willing to go. To AND i
don't think that those teams are, ready by the, way
all of those contenders right, NOW i, mean you'd have
to think The mavericks are contenders with With Cooper flag
at least in the. Playoff Contender, warriors if you would

(31:40):
Add lebron obviously would. Be but they're all trying to
win AN nba. Championship so that's so it's a limited pool.
Already by the. Way lebron shows up says that he
doesn't have anything to, say and Then Dave mcmanhaman has
a two minute report On, YEAH i.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
Just, yeah that's impressive, though to make a story out of. Nothing,
uh you, Know lebron and The lakers are stuck. Together
it seems that. Way, yeah it seems like they're stuck.

Speaker 1 (32:08):
Together AND i think he's doing everything that he can
to make waves and figure out a way where he
can have his. Way the problem is With lebron is
just mad because The lakers were the first, person the
first team to.

Speaker 2 (32:21):
Tell him, no, Right and that's the problem is that
he probably has never had a person be realistic with
him like he. Is, ah, yes people around. Him, yes
it's like nobody has told you, yo like it's. Time
you've been in the league for twenty three. Years it's
not the same. Anymore it's okay that you're not the.
Dude you're a dude and you're gonna be a great dude.
Forever but, Yes luca is the future and if you

(32:42):
were just to accept, that but it's an ego.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
Thing get ready for. That Clippers james twenty. Three slowly Night.

Speaker 4 (32:48):
Watch twenty twenty. Five you'll watch twenty twenty five from.

Day a second championship point For Jannick senna from the
far end take Saying i'm fised on the.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
All he's done. It Yannick center is.

Speaker 6 (34:05):
The winner Of, wimblone the First italian ever to win
A wimberlin singles.

Speaker 5 (34:10):
Title he can't believe.

Speaker 6 (34:12):
It briefly stood like a, statue then put his head
in his hands and now has clos outcrass in his,
arms a warm. Embrace so, wonderful wonderful, exchange no doubt
between these two great, rivals but also good Friends.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
Radio wimbledon on that call you. Know for over forty,
Years tirek has been helping customers find the right tires for,
how what and where they. Drive ship fast and, free
backed by free road hazard production with convenient insallation options
like mulbile tar installation tyrek Dot com the way tire
buying should. Be congrats To Yannick, center losing that first
set then winning the next three in pretty dominant. Fashion

(34:51):
by the end.

Speaker 1 (34:51):
Of, IT i thought it was going to be an
epic final like it was at The frenchers who said
it ended up taking a. Turn there's a point in
the third set Where alchaiz is up four three center
pulled even at four to four and then just took
off from.

Speaker 2 (35:03):
There and then just took off it from. There so
congratulations to. Him. Dan The All Star game is tomorrow
and there's you, know always, replacements AND i feel like
you manifested this replacement.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
And it's for my well watch. Exactly And i've said
this for the last couple of, YEARS i want young.
Talent when you AND i actually got together last, WEEK
i brought back my old point Of Clayton, kershaw if
he's a, Legend let's bring some young stars into the.
Game let's tab them as young stars if you, will
and make it a part of The All star. Festivities

(35:36):
we have a Futures, game but those are guys who
aren't even in the big leagues.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
Yet, yeah and nobody.

Speaker 1 (35:40):
Watches this would be an opportunity for The Major League
baseball to kind of cultivate young. Stars put him in
the spotlight of An All Star game And All star weekend.
Festivities so someone Like Jacob, mazarowski who was a later
call up for The brewers but has been absolute lights
out and watch baseball AND i don't even SAY tv

(36:03):
because when he And Paul skeens went head to head In.
Milwaukee The brewers sold out that game on A wednesday.
AFTERNOON a sellout for A wednesday afternoon let's star near
unheard of In Major League, baseball but they did it In.
Milwaukee so there's obviously something With Jacob, miserowski who's been
magnificent in his five starts that he's had this. Season

(36:24):
but then when he's named as An All star, replacement
The Philadelphia phillies get their underwear in a bundle because
their guys weren't named as, replacements Despite Ranger suarez declining
an opportunity to even be a. Replacement Nick castianos called
saying that The All Star game is about to be
like The Savannah. BANANAS i didn't think that my thought

(36:45):
would would bring so much. Drama but you know what.
ELSE i didn't, Think, manzi that people wouldn't want to
bring excitement to this. GAME i understand like taking up
for you for your own, guy but remember, This misserowski
was the sixth injury. Replacement, yeah of The National. League so,
far the rosters are thirty four players per. Team i'm

(37:06):
sorry if you get to a point it's Not Jacob mazerowski's.
Fault maybe It's Major League baseball's. Fault maybe that Was castianos's.
Point but to take it out On Jacob mizerowski because
he was picked and you didn't have a problem with
the five other guys that were called in is absolute bush. League.

Speaker 2 (37:22):
ABSOLUTELY i couldn't disagree or couldn't agree with you more five,
starts Surpassing Paul skins last year with eleven starts for
the Quickest All star, appearance, Right but he is, exciting
he is, fun and if you don't want that at
The All Star, game then what do you? Want what
do you? Want most of his bitches are one hundred
miles one hundred and one hundred and two miles per.

(37:43):
Hour in one, game he had twelve strikeouts in one.
Game if that is not what you want to push
out for the fans to, see THEN i don't know
what the point of The All Star game.

Speaker 1 (37:53):
Is and The brewers are playing really good, baseball, yes
and they only had a couple Of All. Stars peralta's
not going to pitch in this, game but he wasn't
the replacement For. Misowski so you have A brewers team
that's fully in contention in The National League central in
a playoff caliber. Team and again It's, milwaukee it's The milwaukee.

(38:13):
Market how? Often how often do The brewers get advantages with?
Things and now the Mighty Philadelphia phillies have a problem with.
It get off my. Lawn and we've talked about.

Speaker 2 (38:24):
It there's so many how many pitchers are on this? Roster, like, relax?
Relax and he is hot right. Now he is a trendy.
Pitcher it doesn't. Matter he's, hot he's. Fun go watch.
Him if you've never seen, him go watch. Whatever he
maybe maybe half an.

Speaker 1 (38:40):
Inning She's Monzi. Belagos I'm Dan. Byer someone here has
a problem with someone who did pitch. Yesterday that's. Next
