Speaker 3 (00:35):
I get the text message late at night and I'm like, okay,

Thunder and the Nuggets. The Nuggets are favored by a
couple of points two and a half points and maybe
a little bit more than that against the Thunder, and
I have the points spread here. I have the points
spread to be exact. Thunder are getting four and a
half tonight against the Nuggets. I think nope, Thunder are favored.

(01:40):
Thunder are favored against the Nuggets in Denver, Okay. What
do you think the point spread is for the Celtics
and the Knicks Tomorrow night in New York, Go New York, Go,
New York Go.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Marvin Celtics favored by three and a half.

Speaker 2 (01:57):

gonna be some pressure, a whole lot of pressure. Well recap,
you know what happened.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
And as we head into that game six in the Garden,
Celtics roll were not surprised. We thought you would get
your role players, other players who would step up. I
mean it's nice to say Jalen Brown and Derek Whiter
role players. They're stars. One was an Olympian, one was
the MVP. Yes, Mormon, both were Olympians. You said Derek

(02:41):
White and Jalen Brown. You said there were role players.
One was an Olympian. Yeah, I said both of them
were Olympians. H Oh, No, I'm I'm sorry. I'm there's
so many Celtics I forgot.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
Forgive me.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
Jason Tatum was the one on the bench. Jalen Brown
didn't make the Olympic team. You're not happy about it either, Yeah,
I think it was a big conspiracy about shooting. How
about we how about we start all over it, Celtics
over the next New York up three to two.

Speaker 6 (03:11):
I'm just saying, I hope that's not a bad omen
for family feud. Oh, Marvin goes.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Okay, So if Steve Harvey asked the question, we surveyed
one hundred NBA analyst players who were on the Olympic roster.
Jaylen Brown, So don't do that, Okay, I.

Speaker 7 (03:33):
Don't think that's true, But show me Jaylen Brown.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
Steve Harvey will start walking to the other team as
soon as I said.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
He'll look at the camera that Eie can steal this year.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
All right, So this is our last show before we
go to Atlanta, and then we will tape Family Feud tomorrow.
We uh not able to do our show. We try
to do our show down there, but ran into some
logistical issues, but we will be ready to go recapping
everything on Monday. I don't know what I wanted to

(04:07):
have team uniforms, jumpsuits.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
I thought maybe.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
It would be fun to get something like that, but
then I thought, Okay, maybe I'm trying too hard with this.
Maybe let's just go down there and just be normal
people on a normal game show.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
That's all yes, ton.

Speaker 7 (04:25):
If we're playing Lebritage team, that's probably a good bet
that they would have like wigs and sweat afforts.

(04:50):
All of that forthcoming PGA Championship getting underway at Quail
Hollow Hollow Thunder Nuggets game six tonight schedule release party
and the Timberwolf said goodbye to the artists formerly known
as the Golden State Warriors. We'll talk about that. What
is their future, what's Steph Curry's future with Golden State,

(05:13):
and what can they do to maybe make one more
run here. I think Golden State is the highest valued
NBA team right now, which I find surprising because really
it's interchangeable. You either have stars or you don't. The
Lakers franchise, it's still the Lakers franchise. We've seen where
they haven't been great, but there's still the Laker franchise

(05:34):
Golden State that just seems like it's attached to Steph
Curry because if Steph Curry leaves, I don't think anybody
cares about Golden State. Yeah, Pauline, Yeah, I have.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
CNBC a month ago had valuations of NBA teams and
it's a combination of who owns the stadium, revenue. Worldwide
revenue is a big part of it. The Golden State
Warriors are valued at nine point four billion, almost two
billion more than the new York Knicks, New York Knicks
at seven point five Lakers seven billion.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
Even see it feels like the Knicks. Once again, it's
the Knicks. It's the garden that's different than Golden State. Yes,
you can own the building and it's in downtown.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
You know, it's in San Francisco, which okay, I would
think property values have dipped considerably in the last few
years there.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
This is attached to Steph Curry, the Knicks. Knicks is
not really attached to one person. It's the Knicks, but
the last ten twelve years Steph Curry the value that
he's provided with Golden State. But when he goes, Jonathan
Kaminga is not going to bring in or Kavon Looney

(06:41):
and whoever else, even Steve Kerr coaching, that's not going
to get eyeballs there. But the Timberwolves, they were favored
by eleven. They won by eleven. The Celtics were a
slight favorite, but they blow out the Knicks. They shot
forty five percent from three point range. And you know,
you had Derek White and Jalen Brown who played well,

(07:02):
you know, they had some role player guys. These guys
are dying to play, you know, when they come in,
they want to prove themselves. Cornett came in. I think
he blocked seven shots. You know, you got a pretty
good balanced team there last night, and after the game,
the Celtics head coach Joe Missoula talked about Jalen Brown's leadership.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
Joe, Jalen had a game high twelve assists.

Speaker 5 (07:27):
What did you see from him, both in terms of
his facilitating getting to everyone involved, but also the leadership
that he demonstrated tonight.

Speaker 8 (07:33):
Yeah, I think his leadership came on the defensive end,
just with his physicality and his presence. Thought to dive
into the e bench kind of changed the game for us.
You know, there was other game changing players, but I
thought that was one of them. So he was just
great on all levels. Just took it, you know, took
it upon himself to guard Brunston's at the tone and
he did that on both ends.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
Yeah, he played great, but he's supposed to play great.
You know, the guy's getting paid three hundred million dollars.
You can't go man. Aleen Brown can play. He was
the MVP of the Finals last year. He should be great,
and Derek White should be great as well. You know,
the disappointing part obviously not having Tatum Porzingis, you know,

(08:14):
with health reasons, has not played well at all. And
now you go to the Garden and there was all
the pressure on the Celtics to start the series.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
Now there's no pressure.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
They're not even favored in this game, game six, and
you have a built in excuse, not that you're going
to use that, but you can, Hey, we didn't have
Tatum Porzingis wasn't healthy. If they had been healthy, really
the Celtics shouldn't even be in this position. Those first
two games at home, you blew those that really you

(08:45):
should be advancing, you know, with or without Tatum. But
you know you played well last night. The first two games,
you didn't shoot well. You shoot forty five percent from
three point range. You're going to win if you're Boston.
But now you go back to New York and is
there a bigger New York game? When's the last time

(09:06):
you can remember a game of this magnitude in the Garden.
I don't know if you go back to the NBA
Finals in nineteen ninety nine, but then they didn't have
youing back then. But still you're in the NBA Finals.

Speaker 9 (09:19):
Yes, Marvin, I'm probably gonna say Game seven, nineteen ninety
four NBA Finals, Okay, because in nineteenninety nine, they were
already down three to one. They got there as an
eight seed, so I think them getting to the finals
was already a win in ninety nine.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Okay, that's fair, Yeah, Paul.

Speaker 5 (09:32):
And if you get past Boston, nothing against the Pacers,
but that team seems like a team you could get by.
You're not facing a prime Giannis or something like that.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
Yeah, well either, you know, I think both these teams,
Boston against Indiana would would still be a competitive matchup there.
It just wouldn't be that prohibitive favorite that Boston would be.
And if the Knicks play the Pacers, they've done that before.
You had injuries effect the last time that they played.
But and then you got the Nuggets who are underdogs

(10:03):
at home tonight, which I find interesting. I still think
it's going to seven games here, but Minnesota is ready,
they're waiting, and Minnesota was there last year as well.
The schedule release, I think there was really only one
thought that I had, and that had to do with
what does the NFL know that we don't know right now?

(10:24):
And it has to do with the Steelers. Because the Steelers,
they're in primetime three times in a four week span,
Week seven, eight, and ten. I don't think they're a
great team. I don't think they have anybody that gives
you a tune in factor. If they do, it might
be Mike Tomlin, maybe TJ.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Watt.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
I guess you're putting the Steelers on great. Great fan base,
probably get a lot of eyeballs when the Steelers play.
I understand that. Does the league ask the Steelers where
do they stand with Aaron Rodgers? If you're gonna put
out the schedule first game of the season Jets and Steelers, Okay,

(11:10):
we knew they were going to play. We I'm surprised
that that's the opening week now. Granted Justin Field's former
Steeler quarterback now playing for the Jets. Okay, that's not
enough to go, Oh, that's appointment viewing. Can the NFL?
Can the schedule makers say we need to place a

(11:32):
call to the Steelers help us. We want to we
want to decide week one. Would you ask that, I mean,
I would I'm I'm, I'm this is entertainment, I'm I'm
providing a TV schedule. I need to know if the

(11:52):
stars are going to be there, And I would ask,
but I don't know if what's Pittsburgh saying. Let's say
they know Aaron Rodgers is going to play, but Rogers
is just deciding that he's going to wait a little bit. Hey,
mister Rooney the commissioner here. Oh, hey, commissioner, that's awkward.

Speaker 4 (12:17):
You know.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
I'll just I'll just say it is Aaron going to
play for the Steelers. You're planning on having him for
week one? How about you tap the phone twice if
he is okay, alrighty, thank you, Yes, Todd, I.

Speaker 7 (12:40):
Would respond with, we're interested, but you might want to
call Aaron Rodgers and see where his head's at.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
Well, no, no, Steelers already know if there's a handshake agreement.

Speaker 7 (12:49):
They could say that, you know, you know, don't go
public with this, but there's something public. But there's something,
there's something in place, but I can't one hundred percent
guarantee that until the PaperWorks.

Speaker 3 (12:58):
Okay, who thinks Aaron Rodgers is playing for the Steelers
and that's why they have the Steelers in the Jets
week one?

Speaker 2 (13:05):
All right, Fritzy Paulie Marvin Seaton, No, you.

Speaker 6 (13:09):
Don't I think Aaron Rodgers might be playing for the Steelers.
I don't think the league called the Steelers and was like, hey,
is Aaron coming and they were like, yes, okay, great,
we'll schedule you more.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
Okay. But I don't believe that at all.

Speaker 6 (13:19):
And if if that was the case, it is that's
got to be like grossly illegal or something like that,
Like you can't. If that was the case, then good
luck ever disproving that the league is rigged.

Speaker 2 (13:31):
But who's gonna bust you on it? That'd be the
only thing I would say, is who's gonna go, ah, gotcha?
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (13:40):
Maybe one day the Steelers let it slip or something
like that, But you can't if you're the league and
you're just trying to schedule games, and your whole league,
the whole like thing that the NFL is based on
is no matter what we do, where we play, when
we play the game, what day of the week, we're
gonna dominate. Yes, why the hell do you care if,
like I don't know, is Aaron Rodgers going to play

(14:01):
for the Steelers. We just have to get this Monday
night game right that you're gonna get it right? Anyway,
it doesn't matter.

Speaker 3 (14:06):
Oh, I think of Aaron Rodgers plays, you get a
far bigger number than if you know it's Mason Rudolph.

Speaker 6 (14:12):
Yeah, but it's not going to be like, well, only
five million people watch it, but Aaron Rodgers is here
and forty five million people watched it.

Speaker 2 (14:18):
Amazing. It's not gonna be that different.

Speaker 7 (14:19):
Yeah, Fritzie, But if I'm a network paying billions of
dollars in rights fades, I'd kind of be interested in
knowing if my game is going to have Aaron Rodgers
playing or not in the game.

Speaker 4 (14:27):
But I was excited about thinking that it was going
to be Aaron dressed in.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
Black and gold.

Speaker 3 (14:31):
So maybe it's just a coincidence that it's Jets, Steelers
Justin Fields against maybe Aaron Rodgers.

Speaker 6 (14:38):
Oh wait a minute, Justin Fields is in on it
to that. Now we really got something.

Speaker 2 (14:43):
No, I'm joking. It can't play. No, you know, yeah,
I understand that's the joking. Part of it is really
this is me doing a joke too. Okay, yes, but I.

Speaker 9 (14:52):
Think the Steelers brand is enough to get you three
point time games no matter who it's against.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
No, No, the Steelers.

Speaker 6 (14:58):
Steelers are one of the biggest brands in the NFL,
and Aaron Rodgers doesn't mean anything.

Speaker 4 (15:02):
You said it like it was the Jaguars.

Speaker 3 (15:04):
Well, then you don't have to put them in primetime.
They're gonna get ratings no matter where they are.

Speaker 4 (15:09):
Right, but it steals a primetime that's even better.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
I mean, you're getting you're getting numbers because they're the Steelers.
Doesn't matter, doesn't matter who's playing quarterback.

Speaker 6 (15:18):
Right, That's why the Aaron Rodgers thing doesn't matter because
it's the Steelers.

Speaker 2 (15:21):
But it's I think I think in this case, opening
the season Steelers Jets, Now, is Pittsburgh going to tell
them anything? Can they tell them?

Speaker 3 (15:31):
I would at least ask and say, hey, we're planning
on putting you guys on first week, you know, any
indication of Aaron Rodgers' situation. They don't have to answer it,
but I would certainly ask that question.

Speaker 5 (15:42):
Yeah, Pauling, I agree that the Steelers are a strong brand,
but I don't think the NFL would leave any stone unturned.
They don't do that. They try to squeeze every rating
point out of everything. And if they could have one
of their underlings call the Steelers and say just tell
me which way the wind is blowing the day before
we do our schedule. That's a bonus. And that's Remember
they're in business. They work with each other. The Commissioner

(16:03):
and the Steelers work together. They're partners. They're not in
adversaries in any way. So yes, I would find out.

Speaker 3 (16:08):
Well, the schedule release with Rich eiesen Rich was like, oh,
this means Aaron Rodgers is going to play against the Jets.
I mean, I think all indications are jim NANTZ was
talking about, Hey, Aaron, we'd love to have you on.
We'd love to have you on all of our games
with CBS. You know, like there was open rooting for
Aaron Rodgers to play for the Steelers. All right, So

(16:30):
we'll go settle on a poll question here. We'll get
to your phone calls coming up playoffs last night. As
Golden State is out, what's next for them? If you're
Steph Curry, how long do you want to play in
this situation? I know there's a lot of money at stake,
and I don't know how important it is for one
more title. If you look at Lebron James nick Wright

(16:52):
joined us yesterday. He said, what about Lebron back to
Cleveland and he plays for whatever the veteran's minimum to
try to win another title. Does a better chance with
the Cavs in the East, could you see a scenario
like that as opposed to the West, which is stacked.
We'll take a break. We'll settle on our poll question.
It's a neat Thursday, by the way, since we won't

(17:14):
have a meet Friday, we'll have the menu coming up.
We'll take a break back after this and Patrick's show.

By the way, it's a meet Thursday, since we'll be
traveling and not able to work tomorrow. We'll be taping
the celebrity Family Feud and we're hoping to go to
Magic City where they have wings. They're known for their
wings in Magic City. Just don't know if we're going
to be able to make it. There should be a
curfew tonight. There should be a bed check tonight in

(18:52):
Atlanta as we get ready for Family Feud. I hope
you guys are being serious about this, Marvin.

Speaker 4 (18:57):
A bed check you, sir?

Speaker 5 (18:58):
Yes, all right, all right, yes, Paul, I have never
been to Magic City, just putting that on the record.
But if you go and it's your birthday, there has
to be some type of special treatment.

Speaker 13 (19:07):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:08):
I don't know if I need special treatment birthday. Treat
me like James Harden remember in the rafters, make it rain,
Dan Harden.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
Yes you are.

Speaker 3 (19:23):
Eight seven seven three d P show. We will get
to your phone calls coming.

Speaker 6 (19:28):
Oh no, I just got terrible news right now. What
are terrible or great?

Speaker 2 (19:34):
Great? Terrible or terribly great?

Speaker 3 (19:36):
Okay, how about we guess the terrible or terribly great news?

Speaker 2 (19:40):
You want to give us a hint?

Speaker 6 (19:42):
It has very much to do with the conversation we
were just having.

Speaker 2 (19:46):
Magic City is closed for renovations.

Speaker 5 (19:49):
No, then everything's fine.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
Do you want to guess.

Speaker 4 (19:57):
Marvin, Magic City's kitchens closed.

Speaker 6 (20:02):
No, not that I'm aware of. I don't know any
of those details.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
Ok.

Speaker 6 (20:05):
As far as I know, they are still open for business.
They are still serving wings.

Speaker 5 (20:08):
Okay, Paul, Magic City doesn't open till like ten at night.

Speaker 3 (20:12):
I don't have that information there. Cool, So your news
has nothing to do with Magic City.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
It's very much has everything to do with Magic City. Okay,
Magic city?

Speaker 6 (20:23):
Is I have less than one mile from the hotel,
a five minute drive or a nineteen minute walk?

Speaker 2 (20:32):
Wow?

Speaker 5 (20:33):
Walk A shame?

Speaker 6 (20:34):
We can count the city blocks one, two, three, four, five, six.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
Seventy eight nine? Is there an ATM different? Hold on,
let me add a stop to my directions here? Okay?
Is that is that great or terrible news? Todd?

Speaker 4 (20:54):
I think it's great news. It's almost too convenient to
not go.

Speaker 6 (20:58):
I mean, at this point it's close enough that we
accidentally walk by.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
It's true.

Speaker 3 (21:03):
Now I did get dinner reservations. Okay, where around the hotel?
Let's see we need.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
I think I.

Speaker 3 (21:12):
Don't know if, but it's an Italian restaurant that's in
the area there because I don't want to do, you know,
say where we're going to be, and then, you know,
the fans treat me like you know Lionel Messi when
he shows up at a restaurant.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
People. Yes, just going back to your CN end days. Yeah, wait,
waiting for you. Yeah, we're screaming outside all right, off air,
I guess give me the name.

Speaker 6 (21:39):
I will rest hold on. You know, I'm gonna walk in.
Can you whisper it to me?

Speaker 2 (21:43):
I'd have to get my phone.

Speaker 3 (21:44):
Okay, all right, why don't you guys talk amongst yourselves
and then I can.

Speaker 6 (21:48):
I just want to I'm just trying to plan. It's
a little logistics, that's all. Let's just try to get
our day together, get our night together.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
All right, Well, I'll see if I can find the restaurant.

Speaker 6 (21:57):
Mercedes Benz Stadium right around the corner too.

Speaker 3 (22:00):
Mercedes to the main stage, to the main stage, Mercedes
Benz ds.

Speaker 9 (22:09):
Over Tozy just can help us with family, few questions.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
Cinnamon to the main stage. Maybe Steve Harvey wants to
join us tonight.

Speaker 4 (22:17):
You're practice in the champagne rum or something.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (22:20):
Yes, when you're at Magic City and you order lemon pepper,
do you get wings or a dancer o lemon.

Speaker 3 (22:26):
Pepper, lemon piper? Okay, so we do have lemon we
have lemon pepper wings, buffalo wings, teriaki wings, we have
smoked shrimp cocktail, and.

Speaker 2 (22:39):
We have caesar salad. Today. Who has it better than
we do? Body?

Speaker 3 (22:44):
Now, I did say to Dylan, who's cooking this? I said, well,
do we want wings? If we're going to have wings
tonight at Magic City. They're known for their wings, and
he said, just in case not everybody goes to Magic
City tonight, that you'll get.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
Your share of wings.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
All right, pull question today Seeton, and then we're going
to do the get in price for the next game
on Friday night they get in and then the most
expensive ticket as well.

Speaker 2 (23:10):
All right, that'll be fun.

Speaker 6 (23:11):
Uh last after last night? This is from Marvin after
last night. Who's the greatest Celtic of all time? Bill Russell,
Larry Bird, John Halchek, Jason Tatum, Loue Cornett.

Speaker 2 (23:25):
Funny you didn't put Jalen Brown on there?

Speaker 4 (23:31):
Not after last night?

Speaker 2 (23:32):
Okay, Derek White, not after last night.

Speaker 4 (23:36):
I did see the big cornet.

Speaker 3 (23:38):
I did.

Speaker 4 (23:39):
He was going crazy. I know, haqeen cornet last.

Speaker 3 (23:42):
Night, cordinet like a corn Nation coronation cornet.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
I'll workshop that. I'll work shot. Then let's see that's
one pay h we have. I want to hear from Paul.

Speaker 6 (24:01):
I'm now rooting for Boston to come back or New
York to close it out.

Speaker 2 (24:04):
Oh, I'm rooting for a game seven? Oh yeah? Absolutely?

Speaker 5 (24:07):
What results? Are you hoping?

Speaker 2 (24:09):
It doesn't matter? Couldn't.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
I couldn't care less of what happens in Game seven.
I want to get to a game seven. God, admit,
I don't know that the Knicks have the stones. Wow,
I don't know that they have.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
It in them in their constitution to do that. I
don't think that.

Speaker 3 (24:25):
Wait, they have one of the great closers in the
game and Jalen Brunson. Celtics are getting two and a
half at the Knicks Friday night. Thunder are giving four
and a half against the Nuggets tonight. Okay, they get
in price just to get in the door of the Knicks.
Marvin's been Now, are you working Friday night this game? No?

Speaker 4 (24:47):
No, no, I'll be with you guys.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
Oh I didn't mean. I didn't know if you were
coming back and you'd get back in time. Oh, that
doesn't make any sense. No, man, I got to get
focused here. I have lost focus.

Speaker 4 (24:57):
It's come on.

Speaker 3 (25:02):
Okay, So the get in price for Friday night next game, Paul.

Speaker 5 (25:07):
I have it? Who wants to guess it? Okay, this
is just one ticket, horrible seats four hundred rows.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
Also, you have a seat. It's not standing room only.

Speaker 5 (25:16):
No, but standing room only's five hundred.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
Okay, I'm going to say eight hundred is the cheapest seat.

Speaker 5 (25:24):
I can get you in for six seventy five.

Speaker 2 (25:26):
Oh okay, maybe get me two and I'll go with that.

Speaker 5 (25:29):
It's a refreshing like that wasn't that bad?

Speaker 2 (25:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (25:32):
Okay, what do you think is the most expensive ticket
in the building? Court side?

Speaker 2 (25:36):
Well, those aren't available, are they? There are? I don't
think I can buy.

Speaker 5 (25:41):
Not row one? Okay, first three rows behind the bench
or near.

Speaker 3 (25:46):
The bench, Okay, right, so I might be sitting with
Andrew Garfield or something like that, okay.

Speaker 5 (25:52):
Or like is mci row row one or is he
two three?

Speaker 2 (25:56):
I think he'd be one. I think he'd be one,
like Peter Zo's row two and three Pete Alonzo okay, reference. Uh,
let's see.

Speaker 6 (26:12):
Is this how we should do a Hall of Fame voting?
By the way, if you're a front row like court
side a guy and then well you're more of like
a loge third.

Speaker 2 (26:22):
Upper deck Hall of Famer third row. But they don't
have great seats.

Speaker 3 (26:26):
But that's sort of what great seats, very good seeds,
good seats.

Speaker 2 (26:31):
That's same thing we're doing the Hall of very good Yes.

Speaker 5 (26:34):
I found two floor seats Row A. They don't say
row one. Row A is in front of Row one.
Row A is where Howard Stern and so forth. It
two tickets row A total cost a pair.

Speaker 4 (26:49):
This is the celebrity.

Speaker 2 (26:50):
Row twenty five thousand.

Speaker 5 (26:52):
You're right, twenty five thousand each. I got it at
fifty fifty one five for these two tickets day, Yes, Todd.

Speaker 7 (27:02):
Don't you think that's ridiculous? But one game, it's not
even the championship. But it's not even it's not.

Speaker 2 (27:07):
Even that they're hungry. They are hungry.

Speaker 4 (27:09):
I know it's been a quarter of.

Speaker 7 (27:10):
A century since they got this part to get to
possibly get to the Eastern Conference spot.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
But that's that's insane.

Speaker 3 (27:16):
Are if I'm spending fifty I want to know who
I'm sitting next to? Yes, okay, And there's people who
plan that out, isn't there? Yeah, there's just an accident
that Timothy Chalamay and the Kardashian sat next to Cardi
B and Stefan Diggs.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
That's not an accident, No, right.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (27:35):
Is Tracy Morgan sitting next to me? Is Chris Rock
sitting next to me? Has he been back to a
game since yeah, the incident since you threw up, Yes, yeah,
boot and Rally.

Speaker 6 (27:46):
That's one of the most amazing pieces of pictures I've
ever seen in my entire life, is him throwing up
court side.

Speaker 2 (27:55):
And imagine you're the play by play guy and you're
looking down and you you don't know what's happening to him,
and you know, how many times has that ever happened?
Have you seen anybody he is.

Speaker 6 (28:06):
Like mid just the way that it's it's captured the
act that he is in and the handful of people
who have caught on to what's happening, and most people
have no idea, but there are some people that have
that horrified.

Speaker 3 (28:18):
Like, well, whenever you're around somebody who's throwing up, you
kind of want to help, but then you really want
to get your hands out of the way, like and
then you know, you may rub their neck or back
or something like that at arms length.

Speaker 2 (28:32):
Yeah, You're like, oh, oh, okay, okay, I'm with you,
I'm here, I'm here.

Speaker 7 (28:38):
Yes, it's kind of like, you know, let me let
me get you something. Let me just say, let me
get to the custodian. I'll be right back. You'll you'll be.

Speaker 2 (28:43):
Okay, you would not help out. You would, you would, absolutely.

Speaker 7 (28:47):
I would give a gentle pat on the back while
I'm jumping out of the way so I'm not getting
the vomital of my clothes and looking like I'm gonna
go get some kind of help or medical service.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
All right, let's settle on a pull quick. Well, you
got to come on, let's go.

Speaker 3 (28:59):
We got to get together here, we're gonna I don't know.
I think we're way too loose today, way too loose.

Speaker 2 (29:06):
All right, you got to pull question, PAULM.

Speaker 5 (29:08):
I have one. What should Steph Curry do next in
his career? What should and the options are play another
year at Golden State, but announce it's your last year,
play push to play elsewhere, or retire.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
I think he's staying put. I think that what would
you do the I would stay put?

Speaker 5 (29:32):
Last year announcement?

Speaker 2 (29:34):
Well, he could pull.

Speaker 3 (29:35):
The Dan Patrick move and say, hey, this is going
to be my last contract four years.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
Yes, that can't come soon enough.

Speaker 5 (29:43):
But playing with the Warriors right now.

Speaker 4 (29:46):
I don't appreciate that joke.

Speaker 2 (29:48):
I don't like that. I only say it because it
bothers you.

Speaker 4 (29:51):
It's not necessarily I don't talk about death your retiring.

Speaker 3 (29:54):
Come on, it's save thing. I don't like it, Yes,
I I don't know. Okay does what's another title due
for Steph Curry? It gives you one more than Lebron puts.

Speaker 6 (30:05):
Him in the five ringers. Yeah, that's pretty solid. That's
one away from Jordan.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
Yeah, but nobody's ever going to be you know, with Jordan,
even if they get to sixth.

Speaker 6 (30:15):
Yeah, but you're still you have just as many rings
as him though. That's got to be pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (30:21):
I think it's more important for Lebron than it is Steph,
because Steph is never going to be viewed, as you know,
in the conversation best players of all time.

Speaker 2 (30:30):
But it does.

Speaker 3 (30:34):
Lebron's the one who needs another title. If you're saying
who needs one more, it's Lebron.

Speaker 2 (30:39):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (30:39):
Steph Curry's image of legacy is set. He's changed basketball forever,
forever ever, and after what happened in the Olympics, that
was like his career crescendo. Possibly, I don't know if
Golden State is.

Speaker 3 (30:55):
I wish they would have gotten Kevin Durant sead of
Jimmy Butler and Kevin Durant didn't want to go he
turned down that possive, you know, that potential trade. I
wonder if he would reconsider now in the offseason because
he's not gonna want to stay in Phoenix, and I
don't know what Katie still has, but if I'm asking

(31:15):
him to be the second or third option on that team,
and Jimmy Butler's great, Jimmy Butler's always great in his
first year with his contract, But you know, is Draymond
part of the future here and you're going to get this, well,
what could we give up to get Yannis? I think
there was talk about this a year ago or two
years ago with maybe trying to get Yannis on Golden State,

(31:40):
But I don't see that happening. I think Steph and
he's making what sixty million dollars too. You've got to
factor that in as well, that do you want to
walk away from that? Can he be a second option
on a team at some point in his career? Does
he hold on for something like that? Can he be
one of the Klay Thompson to Steph Curry? Can he

(32:04):
play that role? But you got to find somebody who
could be that number one guy, and they're not finding
that guy anytime soon.

Speaker 5 (32:10):
Yeah, Paulic, he does feel like Steph has so many
other career options after basketball. He could be like Peyton
and Eli Manning and say this is it and maybe
not push it an extra year. He's got a production
company in game shows. Networks would bend over backwards to
have him on a show. I don't think he would.

Speaker 3 (32:25):
Get But if he has those production companies and game
shows while he's still playing, why would you give up playing?

Speaker 2 (32:31):
If you are already doing those things?

Speaker 5 (32:32):
I would say, because his brand is immaculate and would
not be not tarnished.

Speaker 3 (32:36):
Won't were his numbers this year? Like, he probably had
a substandard season for him, But how many guys would
how many teams would welcome that?

Speaker 2 (32:46):
Yeah? Seen?

Speaker 6 (32:47):
I think when you look at other athletes who have
done that same thing before. Right, Kobe won an Academy Award, Right,
Peyton Manning has been very successful with his production company.
I'm sure Tom Brady is doing big things. I'll bet
you a million dollars. Those guys would trade all of
that for another season playing whatever sport they came from.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
You know, Tom traded a family, right, so two.

Speaker 5 (33:10):
He uh, he stayed what Kobe stayed a long time?

Speaker 2 (33:16):
Yeah, because he was getting forty eight million dollars.

Speaker 6 (33:19):
But I think I think it's even I don't think
it has anything really to do with money. I think
it has to do with just being able to play. Right,
when you listen to what Kobe said in his goodbye speech, right,
he said he's trying to teach his daughters it isn't
about banners and rings. It's about being able to do
this every single day. That's what living the dream means.
You wake up at five in the morning to go
to practice, to go to practice, to go work out.
That's the dream. The rings and the adulation isn't so.

(33:42):
I think that if you're a dude like Steph, like, yeah,
production company's cool and all, and he's probably going to
make a billion dollars, but that's not what gets him
up in the morning.

Speaker 3 (33:50):
I can't imagine then he would just walk away. You know,
there's not an injury. There's not you know, an achilles
or anything like that. No, he's battled that. But you know,
he's aged thirty seven. What were his numbers this year?

Speaker 5 (34:02):
He averaged twenty four and a half, a game down
a little bit twenty six the year before twenty nine
the year before that. Yeah, but his shooting percentages were
still great.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
I just can't imagine giving that up.

Speaker 3 (34:14):
If you can still play at a high level, an
all star level, that's what's great for your brand when
you're still out there playing. By the way, speaking of
a million dollars, I just saw there was something on
social media. Tom Brady had a million dollar watch on
and you have a Paddock Philippe.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
If you're a watch fanatic, a million dollars, why wear that? Right?
Seems dangerous.

Speaker 6 (34:43):
Was he at an event or was it like his
daily I don't watch. You have different ones like, oh,
we're doing something fancy, I'm gonna wear this one tonight.

Speaker 3 (34:50):
But even then, don't I don't know. It's like the Kardashians.
They let everybody know all the jewelry they had when
they were in Paris and and they got robbed and
that trial is going on now.

Speaker 4 (35:03):
You know.

Speaker 3 (35:04):
That's where people say, hey, look what I have at
my house, and then they go to your house because
you have all of those things there. A million dollar watch,
yes time.

Speaker 4 (35:12):
Yeah, well he doesn't get any more attention. Why wear it?
Why even habit? You know you could get it's nine
thirteen pm.

Speaker 7 (35:17):
Whether you're getting it from your phone, or you're getting
it from a million dollar watch, or you're getting it
from a little nothing thing whatever, it just seems insane.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
Yeah, million dollar watch.

Speaker 3 (35:26):
Well you see Na Doll and Bubba watching they play
in those watches that are half million dollars the Richard
Mealy Richard Meal.

Speaker 2 (35:35):
Yeah, something like that. Yeah, but they're like a half
million to a million dollars.

Speaker 5 (35:41):
It was Rick Meal of you forty seven to ninety five.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
Yes, time.

Speaker 4 (35:43):
And what is the hope or motivation? Someone's like, whoa,
that's a nice watch.

Speaker 7 (35:46):
How much was that? Like what are you hoping to gain?
You wanted someone to notice it? And like why do
anything unless you're looking for it?

Speaker 2 (35:52):
Maybe somebody gave it a gift. Maybe it was just
a gift. Yeah, maybe, Okay, we'll take a break, get
to phone calls today, and then it feels like a Friday.

Speaker 6 (36:03):
It's a frenchy Friday today, and that scares me. You know,
it's funny too, it's also blowing my brains out. Thursday
turns out too, Oh my god, drive me crazy.

Speaker 3 (36:14):
Oh I know, Setan put his his Seatan put his
hoodie up. Todd was talking and he.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
All of a sudden, people want water now, So what
is too good for water? You could have water twenty
years ago, but now you can have water. I don't know,
I don't know. In the morning meeting, it was.

Speaker 3 (36:33):
We're talking about water in an airport, and Todd's like,
when all of a sudden, you know, did they get
water in an airport?

Speaker 4 (36:40):
I didn't realize that for the last twenty years.

Speaker 7 (36:42):
I guess they's put up these water machines where you
can fill up your big container of water. I would
think all the places in the airport trying to sell
water for five, six, seven, nine dollars would not want
that up on the wall between gates where people can
light up and get free water.

Speaker 4 (36:54):
That defeats the purpose of buying a nine dollars water
or charging the crazy price.

Speaker 7 (36:58):
Okay, And when you check into the the hotel and
they give it those little teeny bottles of water that
you can kind of get something out of your eye with,
not to really refresh yourself.

Speaker 2 (37:05):
So if I could, just if I can, just okay
real quick.

Speaker 6 (37:09):
This segment is a perfect microcosm of Todd.

Speaker 2 (37:12):
Okay, he uh.

Speaker 6 (37:15):
Is upset that tickets to the game are so expensive,
but wants people is also upset that there's free water
instead of buying the nine dollars water.

Speaker 4 (37:23):
I would think the people I'm selling that water would
have a problem with that.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
Okay, okay.

Speaker 6 (37:26):
The todd is why would you wear an expensive watch?

Speaker 2 (37:31):
But he's wearing the Ritz Carlton thing that he has
on a little jumper. I'm gonna take a twenty. What
are you wearing for that? Why are you hoping that
people say, oh, look at you. I'm gonna take a
twenty here? Okay. Play of the Day is up next.

Speaker 1 (37:46):
Be sure to catch the live edition of The Dan
Patrick Show weekdays at nine am Eastern six am Pacific

Speaker 2 (37:59):

This is no play of the day.

Speaker 14 (38:06):
Check this out.

Speaker 4 (38:06):
I'll get it all the way across the dry side.

Speaker 11 (38:08):

they're jamming away.

Speaker 1 (38:13):

Speaker 2 (38:18):

Happy birthday. You're ustling on the commer city. No, oh body, Dan,
I hope your passion boocket is full and the inner
Somalian in me wishes you all the sea smoke for

(39:20):
you today. And I'm not from Somalia, Fritzy, I'm an
actual sommoonier. And uh, Dan, I guess we.

Speaker 2 (39:27):
Know what we know.

Speaker 13 (39:28):
We now know why Derek White was on the team USA.
I mean, I mean, what happens if Boston wins this all?
I mean, I guess Seeden says jeepers, creepers.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
That will be a.

Speaker 13 (39:39):
Huge amount of content. And uh, you know, it's cool
to see Randall falling out and playing well. I mean,
when he was a rookie on the Lakers. Kobe got
ahold of him as a rookie in gott Is here,
and it's really cool to see him playing well. He's
been through some stuff and that team that they have
right there with the young Wolves is really fun to watch.

(40:01):
And I just want to say good luck to you
guys tonight. And Fritzy. Make sure you don't stand at
the buzzer with your hands in your pants and bye.
No circumstance do you say eleven at all while up there?
And if you do draw a blank while at the buzzer,
just go with.

Speaker 3 (40:22):
Me reasonable suggestions. Thank you, Budha, Thank you Tom in
North Carolina.

Speaker 14 (40:29):
Hi Tom, Happy birthday day, and thanks for taking my call. Yes,
I know you're talking to Mike Jerico later. But here's
my take on Jordan's motive at NBC. We know Jordan's petty,
hates to lose, and he can hold a grudge. I
think this deal with NBC is going to have very
little to do with the basketball and a lot to
do with promoting his race team and to offset some

(40:51):
of the losses from his current lawsuit against NASCAR. The
lawsuit has to do with revenue sharing, the NASCAR offers
each team for the upcoming year. Coincidentally, starting August, the
third NBC Slash USA network is going to is the
TV partner carrying NASCAR unto the end of the season.

Speaker 3 (41:08):
All right, well, thank you, Tom. We'll talk to Mike
Trico coming up in the final hour of the program.
Coming up top of the hour, a good buddy, Ross
Tucker will stop by. We'll look at the NFL schedule.
Does he think that the NFL knows something that maybe
we don't know about? Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers.

Speaker 2 (41:25):
Jason Kidd, Maverick's head coach will stop by as well.

Speaker 3 (41:30):
More phone calls eight seven to seven to three DP show.
We didn't settle on a poll question, I don't think,
which means we'll settle on another pole question coming up
in about ten minutes from now. Fritzy's here, Seaton's here,
Marvin's here, Paul's here. I'm here back after this
