(01:09):
up tomorrow night, the point spread was seven and a half.
It's now eight and a half. The Eagles by eight
and a half against the Cowboys. And in case you're
wondering for entertainment purposes, the over under forty seven and
a half. Who's gonna score the first touchdown? Jalen Hurtz

(01:29):
is your favorite, followed by Saquon Barkley. You got anytime touchdown?
AJ Brown plus one sixty, ced Lamb plus one forty.
But the Eagles over the Cowboys. I believe that's the
biggest point spread. Is there another one that's close to that, Paul.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
There's one that's close, the Denver Broncos. It's exact. Denver
Broncos are giving eight and a half to your Tennessee Titans.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
Hmm okay, Ricky quarterback. Okay. By the way, DraftKings has
put out its number one pick odds overall number one
pick for the draft. Case you're wondering, is arch Manning
on the list? He is the number one pick, at
least the favorite right now. It's two quarterbacks, Marvin, I'm

(02:16):
gonna start with you.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
Kate club me.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
No. He is one, two, three four, fifth on the list, Paul,
are these fresh odds, Dann, these are fresh. I just
got it.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
They look fresh.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
This is I can smell the ink on it.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Based off fresh odds. Garrett Nessmeyer bella.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
Shoe that would be a bloop. And then who is
the other quarterback who has the same odds to go
number one overall? If you said Penn States Drew Alar,
you would be correct. Then Leonora's sellers with my South
Carolina game Cocks. And then it's arch Manning. Arch Manning

(02:53):
somehow is going to overcome that terrible debut against Ohio State.
But I don't think he's going cade club. Nick is
in there. Sam Levitt at Arizona State, Oh, handsome kid.
How long has he been there?

Speaker 3 (03:07):
He's a transfer? He was there last year.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Okay. Fernando Mendoza plus twenty two hundred for your Hoosiers,
he was a transfer in I believe as well. Yes,
I think who really liked him? Oh, Brady Quinn, I
think was a big Fernando Mendoza guy.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Joined the club. He went from cal to Indiana.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Okay, all right? Plus twenty two hundred. All right? So
those are the fresh odds on who's going to go
number one overall football tomorrow Night Cowboys Eagles, and of
course the Big weekend as well. And the Micah Parsons
situation is interesting because he is one of the favorites
for Defensive Player of the Year. In fact, next hour,

(03:54):
we will pick who we think will be the defensive
Player of the year. Yesterday we picked the offensive player
of the Year, and I think I surprised everybody in
the room. I took Christian McCaffrey. I think we're kind
of sleeping on the forty nine ers this year. I
don't know why I think that, because they've had injuries.
Now all of a sudden, it's brock Perty's team. But
Christian McCaffrey, if healthy, maybe they turn him loose and

(04:19):
he has another one of those MVP like seasons. It's
weird how you get to this point and you go, okay,
you got to have your Super Bowl pick, but you
also have to have picks that maybe you take a
chance on, Like for some reason, I like the Arizona Cardinals.
I don't know why I like them. Sometimes you get
that thought in your go I got to get that

(04:39):
thought out of my mind, like or love. I like,
I don't I love love, but I don't try to
fall in love with a pick or a team. Is
anybody in love with a team? And Todd, we're not
talking about the Broncos' no, because I know you're in
love with them, But is anybody in love with a

(05:00):
that's not their team? But you just go, man, I
love that team this year because you know there are
a lot of people who love the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Nick Wright was on the show last week and Nick goes, uh,
I'm going to whisper this to you because I haven't
even said it on my show. He liked the Tampa
Bay Buccaneers. Then all of a sudden, Adam Schefter likes

(05:22):
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Mike Tannenbaum likes the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
They might be too hot now. We expect them to
win that division. Haven't they won the division five consecutive years.
It's not a good division. Saints aren't good, Carolina is improving,
Atlanta's the wild card there because Atlanta could be one

(05:44):
of those I told you Lanta's going to put it
all together, or it could be Michael Penni's maybe not
ready yet. You expect Tampa to be ten win team.
Maybe if you get home field advantage. That is the
only caveat that I would add to this is if
you get to eleven wins, maybe twelve wins now you're

(06:07):
hosting games in the playoffs, then I buy into that.
But it feels like there's a lot of love for
the Tampa Bay Buccaneers now if their wide receivers are healthy. Okay,
I think Baker has been undervalued and offensive line is iffy. Defense,
I like coaches underrated. Okay, I could see it. See

(06:33):
that's part of this when you go when somebody says, hey,
what about and then you go, I can't see that. Well,
I can see that, Hey, how about the Dolphins making
the playoffs? I think it's more likely that they trade
Tyreek Hill than make the playoffs. Even though it's a
bad division, you know, I think the Patriots could be
surprising people. I shouldn't say bad division because I think

(06:54):
New England will be improved and Miami does have a
good defense. And if to with Stay's health healthy, like
two of would be my comeback player of the year.
I think his odds are like thirty to one, like, okay,
can he stay healthy?

Speaker 5 (07:08):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (07:08):
Okay, But that's one of those teams where you go,
I can't fall in love with them. Buffalo and Detroit,
you could fall in love with them, the Eagles again,
the Commanders. You know, you start to go around the
league and you go, how many teams could win the
Super Bowl? How many teams have absolutely positively no shot

(07:29):
and win the Super Bowl? We'll have that later on. Also,
first coach to get fired. I would think either Brian
Dable or Kevin Stefanski would be the two guys who
are probably the favorites to lose their job. Mike McDaniel

(07:51):
of the Dolphins will be on that list as well.
I think he might have the second or third best odds.
For the lack of a better description, there's a lot
of uncertainty going into the season, but you still feel
good and like, even if you're a Carolina fan or
a Cleveland fan, you just want to see if you're improving,
Are we getting any better? Can we pull off a

(08:12):
couple of surprises. I don't think you're going into the
season going you know, if it all goes well, you
know we can win this division. Okay, I mean you
can have hope. You don't have hope. There's certain basketball
teams and certain certain baseball teams, you have no hope whatsoever.
But in football, it feels like all you got to
do is win a couple more games. Somebody is going

(08:33):
to go from last to first. It happens every single year.
There'll be three or four new teams in and then
those teams, three or four teams will drop out of
the playoffs from year to year. That's the way it
happens in the NFL.

Speaker 4 (08:45):
Yes, Marvin, Like, if you're a Carolina Panthers fan, you
feel good going into the season because even the game
you lost to the Chiefs, you guys were really really
competitive in that game and could have won it. So
if you're the Browns or the Titans or the Saints, yeah,
you just want a little bit of competitive fire, Like,
you know what, that was a good loss.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
Dylan just sent me the odds on two a comeback
player of the Year. He's plus twenty five hundred. All right,
By the way, Gambling Podcast, this week, we have all
the NFL picks guaranteed to go wrong with Dylan, Shayan Irving,
and Bad Larry and we're still trying to work this
out logistically that I would watch the Cowboys Eagles game

(09:28):
Thursday Night with Shay in the man cave. I just
don't know if I can trust him if we're going
to live stream this that we're not going to have
language on that now, he says, Look, Danny, I'm not drinking,
so I'll be good like Okay, i'd have to have
a disclaimer, I would think. But he wants to. He's

(09:51):
willing to watch the game, and I don't care who wins.
But sometimes I like to see Shay tormented because it's good.
But there are times when I think I'm taking advantage
of him. When I called him after the Micah Parsons trade, Danny,
I'm not in a good spot. I go, exactly, come on,
join us on the show. And if you heard that,

(10:12):
you heard a grown man crying out for help.

Speaker 3 (10:16):
Yes, Paul, I think on a live stream, language is
winked at. It's okay because people are choosing to download
it or click on it.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
Winked on it. Yeah, okay, wink at it.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
No problem.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
I'm gonna wink on this all right.

Speaker 6 (10:29):
See.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
You got to pull question to start out the first
hour of this award nominated program.

Speaker 7 (10:33):
Yeah, why don't we start with how many teams do
you think can win the super.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
Bowl, Okay, and we're just going to give a number there.

Speaker 7 (10:40):
Well, I could give an over under if you want.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
Okay, we can kind of.

Speaker 7 (10:44):
Decide that number.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (10:46):
I kind of have just looking through doing the my like, yes, no,
I had six for sure, and then four dark horses.
So I don't know if my number would be six
or if it would be ten including the dark horses.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
I would say, let's go with the six six and
a half. Yeah, Paully, But Seaton's dark horse means there's
a chance. So that means his list could be ten.
I lean towards his list is ten. All right, So
nine and a half teams could win the win the
super Bowl? Is that what we're saying, Seaton nine and

(11:26):
a half that they could win the Super Bowl? Oh,
that's a lot of teams. All right. We'll run down
the list of those that we think can win the
super Bowl, and then we'll run down the teams that
have absolutely no chance whatsoever. That's fun. Eight seven seven
to three DP show email address DP at Danpatrick dot com,
Twitter handle at DP show operator Tyler sitting by. He'll

(11:48):
take your phone calls. The Micah Parsons situation with his back,
You're playing Detroit. You got a division rival here, and
you know, obviously a tough matchup right out of the gate.
Aiden Hutchinson a for Detroit. High expectations for both of
these teams, and you're not quite sure about Micah Parsons.
Even if he didn't have a tender back. I would

(12:10):
still probably have him on a pitch count of how many,
how many snaps is he going to be in there for?
What kind of situations is he going to be in
there for? Because I got to look at a long
season here, not hey, let's show Dallas what they're missing. Uh.
I want to preserve him for when we really need him.

(12:30):
Here is Micah Parsons talking about how he's focusing on
one thing in Green Bay.

Speaker 8 (12:38):
Micah, are you getting.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
Hold on here? Marvin? Who's providing the beat box there
at the club?

Speaker 4 (12:48):
I think that just came came That's how it came.

Speaker 2 (12:52):
Oh, okay, so that this they added the background music.
This is the Packers YouTube channeled. Okay, okay, why I
just want want to let the audience know that this
isn't our club.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
Yes, Paula, Michael, how do you feel about the season
and how do you feel about this grow.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Here we go, Micah, are you getting the sense?

Speaker 8 (13:18):
And I know it's just first impressions the Green Bay
is going to be a real good fit for you.

Speaker 9 (13:24):
Yes, just just focus on ball, you know. I think
I'm gonna just take a break from everything. I'm just
so ready to just focus on this thing that what's
really it's all about. And that's just just football right
here and what we love and I think here is
just all about ball. They pour everything into this football

(13:44):
and this is probably what I did in my life.
And I told my family, They said, are you happy?
I said, I couldn't be happy. I feel it like
like you ever just had that feeling, right, You're just like,
I think I made the right decision, and that's exactly
what I feel.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
You know, forty seven million dollars a year will really
help that decision. Yeah, how about I check back with
you in January December weather they're in Green Bay? And
what if he said, no, this doesn't start out with
the question here again, Marvin.

Speaker 8 (14:16):
Micah, are you getting the sense? And I know it
says first impressions that Green Bay is going to be
a real good.

Speaker 2 (14:24):
Fit for you. Okay, what if he said, I don't know.
I'm not getting good vibes here. You know, I'd still
like to go back, but you know they're paying me
forty seven million. I'm okay, I'm gonna get used to it.
What did you think he was going to say? What
is it about Green Bay that you like? First impressions?

(14:48):
That's a little bit better than you're starting to get
the feel at this a good place for you. I'm
not gonna buy, I'm gonna rent. But yeah, yeah, I'm
feeling pretty good out this.

Speaker 4 (15:00):
Yes, I feel bad because I'm just jamming to the
music instead of here.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
You didn't have to say.

Speaker 4 (15:05):
I was like, oh he did. Oh, he said that great.

Speaker 7 (15:07):
The only thing I heard was they pulled a lot
into football. Oh really, the Packers do as opposed to
no kid a green Bay. They put a lot into
foot No kidding, I really care.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
Wow, they're starting, they're starting to like this sports a
great place to be in.

Speaker 7 (15:24):
Then I guess huh.

Speaker 10 (15:28):
Yes, I was hoping at the end of that bite
he was gonna throw your hands up and throw your
hands up.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
You've got to give me a little something, are you
getting Put your hands up, hands up, throw your hands
on me.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Get a light out there on the crowd and get
your hands.

Speaker 4 (15:41):
Up, wave them like you just don't care. Give me some.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
H I don't know why you have to add the music, Mervin,
can you help me understand that?

Speaker 4 (15:53):
I have no clue. I guess the hype people up.
I was like, it's just the interview. You don't have
to do that. It's not the hype video. It's not
the slow motion part where you put the music underneath it. Yeah,
it's a guy interview in. Michael Parsons like, no, no, no,
And if you do bring that music down way lower
like we play NFL games or in or out, it
doesn't have to be Come on, relaxed.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
How about we take a break. Will when we come
back the number of teams who can win the Super Bowl,
not go to the Super Bowl, win the Super Bowl,
and the number of teams who have absolutely no chance whatsoever.
We'll take a break. We're back after this.

Speaker 1 (16:31):

Speaker 2 (17:10):
You know, there's still information that's coming out about Micah
Parsons the Cowboys two days before the trade and trying
to go back and see if they could get a
deal done, and then all of a sudden realized that
they couldn't because it felt like you know when somebody says, Hey,
I'm gonna leave, all right, leave, I'm really gonna leave.

(17:30):
Go ahead. Could we talk about this one more time
before I leave? I still think deep down Michael Parsons
wants to be wanted to be a Cowboy. This is
I got an offer I can't refuse. It's a great offer.
I'm playing for a great organization in a football crazy town.
We're actually you know competitive, we have a chance to

(17:52):
go to the super Bowl. I think he's got to
look at the positives. But you know, he wanted to
be a cowboy, and I think this is where, hey,
I'm gonna say goodbye. I'm requesting a trade. And then
all of a sudden it's like, did you hear I'm
requesting a trade? Yeah, we got it. Okay, go ahead,

(18:13):
see what you can find. And then all of a
sudden it's like, man, they're serious. Jerry doesn't want me back. Maybe,
And then all of a sudden it's like, all right,
I'm leaving. I double I double dare you to not say, okay,
I'm leaving. And now Mike in Green Bay and it's
one of those where now you have to convince yourself, hey,

(18:35):
this is who I am now, this is where I
am now, and you won't be a Dallas cowboy. And
that's a tough address to give up. I know there's
a lot that goes into that. But when you're good,
you're great, but when you're bad, you're terrible. That just
goes along with the territory with Dallas. And here they

(18:55):
are eight and a half point underdogs against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Speaker 7 (19:00):
Yeah, yeah, that is true that being a cowboy is
a different thing. But he landed in equally, if not
more so, at an iconic spot.

Speaker 2 (19:10):
There's nothing like the Cowboys.

Speaker 7 (19:11):
Address well, Packers and Lambeau is it's great, you know,
it's not Carolina.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
It's it's great.

Speaker 7 (19:17):
Say he didn't become a Jaguar that you're like, oh God,
that's way you're going to do.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
Let's go around the room. Would you rather be playing
in Green Bay or Dallas? If you're Micah Parsons, Todd
Dallas Cowboys, all right, Marvin Packers, all right, Seaton Packers,
Pauli Green Bay, no doubt. I would rather be in
Dallas because that's the team that I grew up liking,
and that's the team that I wanted to stay with.

(19:44):
That's home to me. Green Bay it's your home away
from home. Now now you have a better chance. They're
great fans, they're loyal fans, and you have a chance
to win. That's really important and showcase your talents.

Speaker 7 (20:01):
Yeah, but I think like Micah had the chance to
do all the things that you said. You know, he
very much had a chance to stay there and sign
a lesser deal. But that wasn't as important to.

Speaker 2 (20:12):
Him, well maybe not to his agent, because the agent
it felt like when you know, the quote was, you know,
stick that contract up your you know what. Then all
of a sudden things changed. That's like Jerry Jones saying,
wait a minute, hold on what, Well.

Speaker 7 (20:29):
That's his childhood team telling him to do that to himself. Yeah,
I mean that. Yeah, they didn't want him, then.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
Oh they did because Jerry did you know, they did
come back and try to sign him. Now, once again,
these are the reports, So Jerry wasn't going to let
him out the door. Maybe we can, you know, have
this resurface and we can smooth this over. That was
late in the game, eleventh hour. The Cowboys did want
to sign him. It just after a while, the acrimony

(20:57):
that was there and then the number that was attached
to this. They thought they were ending at where the
negotiations actually started. So both sides there was a disconnect there.
They thought they had a deal that was going to
be around forty million dollars a year, and then all
of a sudden, no, we're starting the negotiations. Then it
went up to forty seven. For over forty years, ti

(21:18):
Iraq has been helping customers find the right tires for
how and what and where they drive. Ship fast and
free back by free road hazard protection, convenient installation options
tiraq dot com the way tire buying should be, all right?
The number of teams who can win the Super Bowl? Todd,
Give me the list of teams you think can win

(21:39):
the Super Bowl, not go to the Super Bowl, win
the Super Bowl.

Speaker 10 (21:43):
I have six AFC teams on seven NFC teams. Here
are my thirteen teams, if you'll let me do all.

Speaker 2 (21:48):
Thirteen very generous in alphabetical order.

Speaker 10 (21:51):
Bengals, Bills, Broncos, Buccaneers, Commander's Chiefs, Eagles, Lions, Packers, Rams, Ravens, Steelers, Vikings,
all thirteen in my opinion of a chance to make
it and win the Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (22:11):
All right, Seaton, how many teams do you have winning
the Super Bowl? I have six ken for dark horse,
all right? Give me your Mine are.

Speaker 7 (22:19):
Eagles, Ravens, Buffalo, Kansas City, the Lions, and the Packers.
Those are the ones that I think can win the
Super Bowl. My dark horse teams are the Buccaneers, the Commanders,
the forty nine Ers, and the Bengals.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
Okay, Marvin. Our camera angle was had the top of
Marvin's head while they were trying to focus on you, Seaton,
and then Marvin ducks his head down as Mario the
director probably told him, Hey, drop your noggin.

Speaker 4 (22:54):
Yeah, everyone's the top of his note, dud, I got
right here.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
By the way, you look like a yell leader, like
you'd be on the sidelines. You know it's a cheerleader.

Speaker 4 (23:04):
Oh yeah, I'm just like George Raveling today my Nike gear.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
But you got your red shorts on, your your red
nikes and your T shirt color coordinated. You look like
you'd be. You need to make you look like a
yell leader. You'd be on the sidelines.

Speaker 4 (23:22):
Yeah, come on, everybody, get up, Get up.

Speaker 2 (23:26):
Okay, how many teams?

Speaker 4 (23:28):
I got six Bill's Ravens, Chiefs, Eagles, Rams, Lions.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
Okay, Paul, I'm loose.

Speaker 3 (23:38):
I have twelve Bill's Ravens, Bengals, Texans, Chiefs, Chargers. I
was wishy washy on the Broncos and I did not
put them in a little early the NFC. I have Eagles, Commanders, Lions, Packers, Buccaneers, Rams.

Speaker 2 (23:57):
Okay, right, guys are really generous on winning the Super
Bowl not getting there winning.

Speaker 3 (24:04):
Yes, it does seem like the sport where if you
make the playoffs, it's a clean slate, like Eli Manning
back in the Day one two where I think they
squeaked in.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Yeah, yeah, I think we were like nine to seven. Yeah.
How many teams don't have a chance? Zero? Now I
don't like to say zero, but let's say they have
one percent chance of winning the Super Bowl? All right, Todd,
do you have your list of these teams cannot win

(24:35):
the Super Bowl?

Speaker 10 (24:35):
I have ten teams that cannot win the Super Bowl.
I know that sounds like a lot, but here we go, Browns, Giants, Saints, Titans, Jets, Jaguars, Colts, Panthers, Falcons,
and I even put in the Cardinals. These ten teams
just cannot win the Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
I probably have Atlanta and Arizona taken out of that.
I think that both those teams can and make the playoffs. Seaton,
how many teams cannot win the Super Bowl?

Speaker 10 (25:04):
Well?

Speaker 7 (25:04):
I think this is interesting because if we just did
how many teams we think can win the Super Bowl,
the flip side of that should automatically be how many
teams we don't think can win?

Speaker 3 (25:13):
This easy with the logic.

Speaker 2 (25:15):
Yeah, we don't apply logic.

Speaker 7 (25:17):
However, if we do a list of teams that like
essentially have no shot, the other ones are like I
just missed that one.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
I guess.

Speaker 7 (25:27):
I would put the Panthers, the Broncos, the Titans, Saints, Cardinals.
I want to say there's about somewhere between eight to
ten teams that have zero.

Speaker 4 (25:44):
Show Panthers, Saints, Jets, Patriots, Colts, Falcons, Cardinals, Chargers, Bears, Titans.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
So the Browns have a chance.

Speaker 4 (25:57):
Oh, I thought there emeritis.

Speaker 7 (26:00):
I forgot about the Browns, you know, I just really
I didn't put the Giants in there.

Speaker 2 (26:03):
The Browns.

Speaker 7 (26:04):
The Seahawks aren't winning anything. I don't really think the
Bears are going to do that, all right, Paul, My
list is growing.

Speaker 3 (26:13):
No chances are Jets, Browns, Jaguars, Titans, Giants, Bears, Panthers, Saints.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Because there's varying degrees of they can win it, they
can be in it, they have no chance whatsoever. I
don't think it's those teams can win the Super Bowl. Therefore,
those that you didn't mention, those are the ones who
can't win the Super Bowl. I think Atlanta, I think
Arizona that they would have a chance to make the playoffs.
And really, maybe that's what it comes down to. These

(26:43):
teams have no chance of making the playoffs. Browns or Saints, Carolina,
I don't know who else you want to you know, Jets.
Do you throw them in there as well? Yes, ton,
My list would go from ten to four.

Speaker 10 (26:55):
If it's teams that can't even make the playoffs, I
would just have Browns, Giants, Saints, and Titans are the
ones that I listed, I think, and possibly make the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (27:03):
And that's probably a more interesting list. These teams can
win the super Bowl. These teams have no chance of
making the playoffs because Seattle can make the playoffs, the
Raiders can make the playoffs. The Texans are going to,
you know, be a playoff team. Can Jacksonville make the playoffs?
Like they're still one of those interesting I have no idea,

(27:23):
very little buzz about Jacksonville.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
Yes, Marvin, they have the luxury of being an AFC
South where it's like we can maybe squeak in if
we played the Texans.

Speaker 2 (27:31):
Well, and chances are most of your games are at
one o'clock on Sunday or Thursday night. You just get
it out of the way, and it's like, oh yeah,
Jacksonville played, and maybe Liam Cohen can help out, you know,
their offense, just like he did with Baker Mayfield. Maybe
you get a little revitalization there, a little boost or something,

(27:54):
because at some point, if they don't get the production
out of their quarter back, then you're gonna move on.

Speaker 3 (28:03):
Yeah, Pauline, Trevor Lawrence is about to run out of
Hall passes after the season. He's like in that not
a bus. No one would ever say the word bust,
but that it's not working out. We're getting the year five.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
Yeah, I know, but he got the extension. He got paid.
Here are the worst odds to win the Super Bowl,
according to DraftKings. The worst odds to win the Saints,
Then it's the Browns, the Jets by the way, plus
fifty thousand for the Saints to win the Super Bowl,

(28:36):
plus forty thousand for the Browns, the Jets at plus
twenty five thousand, the Titans plus two thousand. Then it's Panthers, Colts, Raiders,
and the Giants. You know, the Colts aren't very They
were on the doorstep of making the playoffs last year,
so they missed it by a game. I like the

(28:59):
Raid this year. You know they got skill position players.
You got Pete Carroll. Gino has kind of settled into
knowing exactly who he is, what to expect, and he's
a good quarterback. That's all you need. Good quarterback. You've

(29:20):
got Max Crosby. You know, you got your running back,
you got your tight end. I mean, I'm not as
high on the Chargers. You lose Slater and man is
that a big deal. If they have him, then you
could certainly make a case they could win this division.
They had what eleven wins last year. But yeah, Giants,

(29:48):
But I would take the Raiders and the Colts out
of there for some reason, like I like them a
little bit more maybe than I should. But you know,
I'm just a Danny Dimes fan, and you know he's
going to make some magic because he can spin it.
That's Morvan. No, if you say so, yeah, thank you
spin it, thank you. He can spin it.

Speaker 4 (30:07):
Okay, Yes, I feel bad because they're up there for
me for the most irrelevant team going into this season.
They're up there with the Yeah, there's nothing interesting about them.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
When you've got a good running bag. They got good receivers.

Speaker 4 (30:22):
I love Jonathan Taylor Thomas, but that's it.

Speaker 3 (30:25):
Okay, Jonathan Taylor Thomas was a child after of the nineties.

Speaker 2 (30:32):
Oh got a running back?

Speaker 4 (30:33):
Okay, No, I know, I said, they don't purpoct.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
No, I didn't know if he had hyphenated his name.
I had missed something there, But Jonathan Taylor Thomas. Uh.
Paul in Indiana, Good morning, Paul. What's on your mind?

Speaker 12 (30:47):
Oh Dan, thanks for taking my call? Six foot one seventy.
That's fun to call in. Say Todd's awesome man. That
cracks me up. And you're doing the Michael Parson's uh
brush up, throw your hands up, cracked me up. You're
awesome card. So I got thank you?

Speaker 4 (31:09):
How about that? That's very nice. Spreading some love and
positivity is a good thing.

Speaker 2 (31:13):
You you crack up, Paul.

Speaker 10 (31:15):
My favorite thing to do is I PAULI boys heard
more than enough for me.

Speaker 2 (31:23):
Most people are uphold.

Speaker 4 (31:26):
People are laughing at having a good time.

Speaker 2 (31:27):
They are and really that's all that mattered.

Speaker 8 (31:29):
Really, Yeah, are you getting the sense? And I know
it's just first impressions. The Green Bay is going to
be a real good fit for you.

Speaker 9 (31:40):
Yes, just just.

Speaker 4 (31:43):
Throw your hands up and throw your hands up. Just
hit your hands up.

Speaker 2 (31:46):
Everything.

Speaker 4 (31:48):
There we go.

Speaker 2 (31:48):
Who's seen it? Helped me out that sound? Paul and Indiana.
He's laughing right now.

Speaker 7 (31:53):
And then.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
Alrighty, we'll get to your more phone call.

Speaker 4 (32:02):
I'm sorry I waited ten seconds for him. Just say,
put your hands up. Put your hands up.

Speaker 10 (32:07):
No throh, your hands in the air like you don't care.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
Word up, word up.

Speaker 4 (32:15):
It's the calord.

Speaker 2 (32:17):
Alrighty okay, we'll take a break here. We got our
poll question. Your phone calls are always welcome. Eight seven
seven three d p show. No, No, not this, Paul, No,
Paul in Indiana. You just made his day.

Speaker 4 (32:32):
Some people are more easily amused.

Speaker 2 (32:33):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 4 (32:35):
I really do. I need that actually, Oh dear, all right.

Speaker 2 (32:38):

Due pitch swinging in a hive fly ball left center
field in deep freedom in a jog and Springer has
done it again too. Homer game for George Springer. His
two run shot gets the Blue Jays to ten runs.
They lead it ten to six. That's courtesy of the
Blue Jays Radio Network. George Springer has led off a

(33:27):
game with a home run now sixty two times. Only
Ricky Henderson has more eighty one. That's your play of

what's on your mind? How's going on?

Speaker 5 (34:00):
Hey man, Hey man, I just have a rant for you,
for everyone else that's dogging my Saints.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
Wait wait, wait, hold on. I gave you what Vegas
says about your Saints, not my opinion about your Saints.
I told you that you have the worst odds to
win the Super Bowl. Now convince me otherwise.

Speaker 5 (34:22):
But any other days y'all talking about the Saints. You
and your buddy over there, you guys are always dogging
the Saints. It's not just you, it's everyone. And I
want to know this is a question for everybody. Last year,
everyone was hurt. We wasn't even the last team in
the NFL. We wasn't thirty two. So how can when

(34:44):
everybody come back, we go down to the last team
in the NFL. It's it's going to be impossible for
the Saints to be last in the NFL when everybody
is back, and we wasn't last when everybody was hurt.
I have a lot of faith in our quarterback and

(35:04):
that office of line.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
You have a lot of faith in Spencer Rattler.

Speaker 5 (35:09):
I definitely do. He last year he went oh and six.
He was behind an office of line that no one
even heard of. Our office of line was ft mantle
with injuries, and they put aie out, a rookie out there,
and yes, he went on to six. Now, I believe
when he's out there with the full office of line,

(35:31):
his running abilities, his accuracy, and with our division not
being the best and our schedule not being the hardest,
I said, we win at least eight to nine games.

Speaker 2 (35:42):
Right, all right, Well call me back during the season.
I'm not rooting against the Saint stray. I don't have
any bias. I'm unbiased with this. Whatever the story is
is what I want. If the Saints are great, great story,
that's all. If they're ad they have the number one pick,
Does arch Manning come out so he can play in

(36:03):
his hometown, That's all I'm concerned about. But good luck.
I'm glad you're passionate. But I'm not sitting here. Go boy,
I hate the Saints. It's I'm telling you what Vegas says.
They have the worst odds to win the Super Bowl.
Vegas is saying a place where you live. Yes.

Speaker 3 (36:21):
Poly Also, the public doesn't dislike the Saints, the organization,
the city, it's it's probably one of the more rooted
for NFL franchises, generally pretty well liked.

Speaker 2 (36:31):
Yeah, I'm okay with the I mean I love their uniforms.

Speaker 6 (36:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:37):
I don't have any bias against them or grudge against
them or any of that. I just I have to
call it like I see it. Let's see Tom and Columbus. Hi, Tom, ADP.

Speaker 13 (36:51):
How you doing great? First time caller? Five eight two
thirty five used to be five ten on them now yeah,
one seventy five, so they never lose. So anyway, they're
calling because one here in Columbus, everybody's in a really
good mood. And they turned the suicide hotline off because

(37:12):
we were named number one above Penn State. So that's
a good thing, I suppose.

Speaker 6 (37:17):
Two.

Speaker 13 (37:18):
I really like you guys, and I trust what you say.
And I'm a Browns fan for the last sixty six years,
so that tells you how old I am. And man
hearing that they absolutely had zero chance there for a second,
I thought you want to say they had a one
percent chance, which is at least something. And two that
we're going to lose the only coach that I've liked

(37:39):
since Marty Schottenneimer. It's been a tough morning.

Speaker 6 (37:42):
Listening to you.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
Well, I don't have any bias against the Browns. Tom.
When Baker was there, you know, they were cool. I
would never have signed to Shaun Watson. I said that
I thought Baker played to OBJ and that was to
his detriment. But I don't sit here and go boy,

(38:03):
I hate the Browns. It was the first team I
rooted for, Jim Brown and Leroy, Kelly, Frank Ryan, I mean,
Milt Moran. I think he was on that team. But yeah,
I don't have any people take this personally. I'm just
telling you what the odds are. The odds are the

(38:24):
coach to get fired the earliest is Kevin Stefanski. Vegas
doesn't have any opinion. They don't play, they don't care.
The Browns have the worst odds to win the Super Bowl,
and would I put them at one percent? Yes, I'd
put everybody at one percent because you have a chance
because you're playing. But you know, Saints fans, Browns fans, relax.

(38:50):
Just go out and win, then go scoreboard and then
call in and say, oh, remember when you gave me
the Vegas Yes, that's fine. But I don't root four
or against. I root for a great story, and a
great story could be the Cowboys make the playoffs or
they end up with three wins. It's still a good story.
There's things attached to it. If the Bills finally win

(39:15):
a super Bowl, or Detroit wins a super Bowl, the
Ravens they get to win another Super Bowl, Lamar wins
a super like. I'm if the Chiefs go back, or
if they don't make the playoffs. That's how I look
at the season. I don't go by that team. That's
why I don't like making a super Bowl pick, because

(39:36):
then I'm I find myself rooting for a team or
rooting against a team, and I don't like doing that.
I like just watching. Yeah, my loyalty long gone, long gone.
Let's see Jeff and San Antonio. Hi, Jeff.

Speaker 6 (39:57):
One in DT thanks to the call Buddy Yep, queenan
Pills in South Texas and the Sunshine listening to DP.
Who's got it better than me?

Speaker 2 (40:06):
Nobody money?

Speaker 6 (40:08):
Well, I'm here to agree with you. I'm glad you're
hiring my Raiders this year. And I think everybody's underestimating
the Chip Kelly's influence. Yeer, he turned tight ends and
running back to the stars.

Speaker 2 (40:20):
Well, Rock Bowers was a star. But I do like
Chip Kelly being there as an offensive coordinator. I do
like that. I don't know. There are just certain teams
where you kind of feel, you know, I have a
pretty good track record of saying, hey, this is the
team to watch this year, or this this team won't

(40:40):
be as good. But that's you know, once again, it's
not a bias against somebody. You know, if Denver goes
to the Super Bowl, it's a great story. The commanders go,
it's a great story. That's all I care about, because
you can tell a great story over and over and
over all. Right, coming up, Kyle Brant, Good Morning Football

(41:05):
co host Michael Urban will stop by. Are the Clippers
in trouble with the NBA? Pablo Torre has a report
that's all coming up.
