everything that went down in the NFL, things that made
you go hm. Coming up in a minute, say blew
it like that? Are you doing Adam Sandler or are
you doing de Niro and Copland? You bully Sandler? Yeah,
you're not doing I gave you a chance to win
in you Bluey. When I say how you doing? Are

(01:30):
you thinking Wendy Williams or Joey Tribiani, I'm thinking resbutia Ha,
you did it from what was that Norbit?

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Ha?

Speaker 1 (01:37):
You did? Oh you're the guy that watched Norbit. That's
a great movie that ruined any Eddie Murphy's hit me
osc hopes that's a movie. By the way, I'm Cavino.
That is rich. We got super producer Danny g Even
though his team stinks, they stink the best way possible,
the first round pick, they.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Stink in the best way. Yeah, you are the draft champions.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Yeah, man, you're gonna have a bunch of Mexican and
Cubans now at the Raiders games. So we also have
We're already there.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:05):
I was gonna say, yeah, yeah, we have. Iowa said, hello, gentlemen,
it's been a minutes. I've seen you in person.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Dude, you got some vix vapor or up on that chest.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
I'm working on it.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Got rub the vix in twenty twenty six, you said,
a little stuffed man, very nice. Yeah, mixed in twenty
twenty six. Yeah, you can work on that, Iowa. Sam
canceled on our little get together over the weekend because
he had the sniffles. He had the sniffles. But I'm
you know, you don't want no no, no hack Elson
here here in the studio, and of course Spotty's on
the videos. What's up, spot He's on the videos, Covino on,

(02:36):
Rich FSR on YouTube, Low and Crowns here. Let the
wild brump just start, you know what, let's do it.
Things that made you go hmmm, Week eighteen of the NFL.
Things that make you go, things that make your goal.
I mean, I could start like everyone else with the
Ravens and Steelers, but Danny g you got your Raiders

(02:57):
had on. I think you should be the most hopeful
dude in the room. You have Genty, you have Bowers,
you get at Mendoza, Tom Brady's leading a new head
coaching search. I think as a Raiders fan you should
be in a really good mood today.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
It's a strange mood because how many coaches have they
gone through. Brady has to help get this right once
and for all.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
Now he's busy with Alex Earl bro Sorry, now she's
rubbing his band.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
I was going to say, bring her to the office.
You know.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
There's an update on that I'll bring up in a
few minutes. But yeah, the Raiders seem to be in
a good situation. They learned from their mistakes, right, dannyg
because they.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
Well they did.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
You're right, Covino for the simple fact that the last
few seasons they won meaningless games at the very end
and then went down the draft board and never were
able to get their franchise.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
QB.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
You know what, maybe just maybe remember hell, like a
year ago or so, you're like, oh, Michael Pennock or
you wanted this guy, that guy, Maybe it all is
gonna be worth it, because if you could have Mendoza,
Genty Bowers, use your whole draft equity and your offseason
to pump up that offensive line.

Speaker 5 (04:09):
Build both offensive line first offensive line, and protect those
three guys we just talked about.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Gives them some time. And Tom Brady on the coaching search.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
They have the second most cap space in the NFL
going into the free agency season.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
So if Tom Brady could lure he coaches the way
he does Hot Ass, maybe this is.

Speaker 4 (04:28):
Hope for you.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Oh yeah, then your Raiders are gonna be unstoppable. So
congrats to the Raiders, unsucking the best and still beating
the Chiefs and still beating the Chiefs. But looks like
Fernando Mendoza is your guy man. And this is when
we open it up to the Fox Sports Radio Nation.
It's been a minute. Hope you guys enjoyed the holidays.

(04:50):
It's good to be back back into the routine. And
we open up the phones at eight seven, seven ninety
nine on Foxes. Any observation you made in the world
of football, especially, but it could have been anything you watched,
anything you did over the weekend, over the past few days,
you hit us up. Now, there's no wrong answers. Any
observations in life and in football that made you go.

(05:10):
My observation is the priest who put holy water in
the end zone. Dude, that's a good story where the
kick was missed by the Ravens. There was some divine
intervention going on there. What a drama game? Tell me,
Jesus is a Steelers fan. You know what I thought?
I thought. I thought yesterday was kind of boring until
that Steelers agree. You know, I watched it a lot

(05:32):
of meaningless games. I get it. You know it's obvious,
but you know, some records being broken, props to Myles Garrett,
and you know, we'll discuss other observations.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
But a couple of crazy long field goals.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
Yeah, yeah, some some crazy moments. A lot of people
sitting now. I get it. But until that game, it
was boring. And maybe the priest with the holy water
had something to do with it, because man.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
The power of kicks compels you.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
The power of kicks campell you. Then happened at the
end of that game, and maybe it was the holy water.
Maybe other teams follow suit because it worked out for
the Steelers. Congrats to them. Hope he had a Steeler
sort of weekend. They won twenty six to twenty four.
He make it tell when Rocky stopped on his way
to the fight. Yeah, Father Carmines, maybe there's something to
it for the come on hockey. Aside from that story,

(06:23):
you know, Aaron Rodgers wins with the help of Jesus
in Holy Water and he wins without Dk Metcalf. That
says a lot. It was close, it came down to
the wire, and DK said today he's excited as hell
to be back. And as they said at the end
of the game yesterday, probably no one more happier than
him because at the position he put his team. It's funny.

(06:46):
I wrote down a little question for you guys who
let out a bigger sire relief when Luke missed that
field goal Boswell or DK Metcalf. I would say Metcalf
because of you know, Boswell didn't have a long time
to simmer in that right, Even though that was that
was another just weird crazy moments.

Speaker 5 (07:08):
Missed extra point, you were like, oh no, yeah, yeah,
to get down into it right there.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
That was the drama was just it was like a movie.
It really was. That's why this game totally redeemed the
boring Week eighteen that it was like this made it
all worth the while Boswell misses that field goal, I
mean that extra point and you're like, what the hell,
how's that even possible? How they have a chance to win?
They still had a chance to win and blew it.
At the end, I would say DK Metcalf had the

(07:35):
bigger sigh of relief Ridge because he was like, there
was so many plays where you know it was meant
to go to him and you know he would have
made the difference and he wasn't there to do it.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
What do you guys think Justin Tucker was thinking when
he was watching the very.

Speaker 1 (07:47):
End of that guy's probably laughing. You know what he's thinking,
You guys, let me go because I like a little
Rubbie Tuggy and uh and some accusations, you know, fans
were he would have made it. I feel bad for Loop.
You see the comments the comments section. He posted pictures
of him and his beautiful fiance recently, and every comment

(08:08):
well he had a disabled comments.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Yeah, yeah, fans, disgruntled fans ran to his social media.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
It's horrible the way bullied. Yeah, it's big time loser behavior.
Here's why you can sum it up by saying this
when the actual team is more gracious about it than
the fans, like you saw Lamar Jackson as a leader
saying he's a rookie.

Speaker 4 (08:29):
It happened. We got to move forward.

Speaker 1 (08:32):
They had a weird season, up and down season anyway,
it just wasn't their season to begin with.

Speaker 4 (08:36):
And you saw coach walking them into.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
The walks like they're showing their sympathy and fans are
acting like big baby Biachas. That's just gross and Sam,
you nailed it. It was so bad and so vicious
that the comments were disabled and it's really sad. He look,
no one feels worse than he does. So Tyler Luke
currently being bullied by Ravens fans as we speak. I

(09:00):
look at it this way, Cove. It's sometimes a team
could sneak into the playoffs and really make some noise, Right,
Did anyone in this room think that the Ravens were
gonna make noise in the AFC? Or is it just
not their year? Like, no one, I don't think anyone
here is, Like, Man, if the Ravens would have just
you know, kicked that field goal, you think they're gonna
beat Houston either. The way they were playing in the

(09:21):
fourth quarter, I just feel like if Henry was able
to put the team on the back, he did the
previous one. But what let's not let's call spade a spade.
They were an under five hundred team when the season
was over, Jackson said. They said it many times throughout
the game, like wed a weird season. Yeah, nothing consistent
for the team eight and nine. Don't make it seem
like they missed the playoffs at eleven and six if

(09:43):
they would, if they would have got in, it would
have been all the difference. No, they didn't deserve to
be there. No one under five hundred could ever make
an argument to me that, like, man, they were close,
you're a losing team. Yeah, eight and nineteen again.

Speaker 5 (09:55):
But everybody thought they were going to rally, and they
did kind of, and then they got to a point
where like then they started losing games again.

Speaker 4 (10:01):
And I'm like, they're not.

Speaker 5 (10:01):
I'm like, if they get to the playoffs, I'm gonna
feel like such a buffoon because I thought they're not.
I said it on the air, I'm like, they're not
going to get to the playoffs, And they were this close.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
They were a they were a kicking a kick away.

Speaker 1 (10:12):
Do you think from a ratings standpoint that the NFL
and the ratings TV gods, we're hoping for Lamar and
Derrick Henry and that Raven's team. Or do you think
just is he Aaron Rodgers storyline done? No? Do you
think that's still intriguing?

Speaker 4 (10:27):
No, it's very I think it's awesome.

Speaker 1 (10:29):
Yeah, it's great.

Speaker 4 (10:30):
First time in the playoffs is twenty twenty one, and.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
Dare I say, yeah, that's that's huge. Sam as a
show and for him to Rogers, I know Danny G
likes to limit our Aaron Rodgers conversation.

Speaker 4 (10:42):
Although I did pick him to go to the playoffs.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
You definitely did, I remember. But I'm really happy for him, man,
I really am. I'm happy for him. I'm intrigued by
the storyline. I think they're going to be contending. I
think they're solid with DK Metcalf coming back and I
quote again excited as hell to be back. I think
he has a lot to prove now in like a
lot of immens to make with the fans and with

(11:05):
the team, and he's gonna do it on the field.
So I think that makes them even more dangerous and
he's fresher as a result. You know, you know what
I observe about Aaron Rodgers, And I wonder if you
guys feel the same way. I feel like when you
see him in a post game, he seems so comfortable
and natural and with who he is. Where if it
wasn't for the documentaries and all the reasons people were

(11:26):
like Aaron Rodgers like, he seems to me like a god.
It's pretty confident in who he is and his interviews.
He always laughing a little bit, and I don't know,
I feel like if.

Speaker 3 (11:34):
I think he's like a bad top forty hit rich
oversaturated is what happened, because.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
When you saw him last night after the game and
he's like, you know, call me maybe in the early
because very you know, the postgame reporter asked him, you know,
is this it for you? And he chuckled like no,
I'm just you know, he's like I've He's like, I
haven't been there since twenty twenty one. Take on at
Aaron Rodgers after the game. He just he speaks in
like a light, friendly way. It doesn't seem like canned
bes answers. It's pretty emotional.

Speaker 4 (11:59):
Honestly. It's been a great year.

Speaker 6 (12:01):
So I'm thankful for these guys and excited to be
going to the playoffs for the first time.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
In a long while does that mean you're riding off
into the sunset after this?

Speaker 6 (12:09):
No, I'm just just been a you know, it's been
a grinding here. I've been two years before that what's
up as well, So it's been it's been an absolute
blessing to be here with these fans, in this organization
and Mike Tea and a leadership that we got with
these guys, and you know, I think we just we
we found that little bit that's something special, which is
belief tonight on the offensive side, and I'm proud.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
Of our guys the way we responded in the fourth quarter.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
Doesn't that sound to ask? It so much more natural
than like some of the other canned answers you here.
I love the answer, and I'm not faulting the question
because you want the juice, you want the meat, But
like why you rush in the retirement when he's excited
about the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (12:48):
Fernando Mendoza seems more natural at the end of games.

Speaker 3 (12:50):
Oh man, yeah, he's Can I back it up though,
and ask you guys about the Ravens. No one's talking
about this. That last twenty one seconds bothered me. They
had two downs to work with, twenty one seconds to
work with. Now I realize you're out of timeouts. It's
you know, it's iffy right there, But do you not

(13:12):
try to throw something to the sideline to get ten
more yards to make it a thirty four yard field goal?

Speaker 1 (13:17):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (13:17):
You know what I think.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Last night we realized something and you see it around
the NFL. They had to point out during the broadcast. Hey, fans,
I know we're used to guys hitting sixty five seventy
yard field goals in practice and in games. You know,
like we're making it seem like forty to fifty our
field goals or chip shots. Yeah, they are not. We
grew up at a time if you grew up in
the eighties and nineties like us, I mean when little
hitting sixty seven yard field goals, though, it doesn't seem

(13:42):
that drastic, bro. I think you know how in baseball
they show those stats about how drastic, like each your
stolen bases go down and down, like the stats that
have a major trend. I bet and I've never looked
this up. I bet you fifty plus yard field goals
is like a ridiculous like it's like a stock chart
that's to the moon, like fifty yard field goals. Back

(14:03):
in the day, if a guy hit one a year,
it'd be like, oh my god, like Janakowski, Danny g Like,
there was only a few guys that I thought were
even capable of a fifty yard field.

Speaker 3 (14:11):
Go Gruden lined him up for a seventy three yarder
one time. Remember, but we now assume, what is this
be a fifty four yarder? You're assuming, ah, fifty four yarder,
He's got it. They're all Janakowski's geez. So I think
you're right there.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
There was a part of me that thought, hey, you
know what, even three or four more yards a little
dump off pass spiked the ball quick you I think
you were.

Speaker 3 (14:33):
When he centered the ball Lamar Jackson with his knee down.
I was just right there.

Speaker 5 (14:38):
I was like, oh, I don't like that hitting hitting
a shore fifty five to whatever sixty two yarder and
hitting it and getting it unexpected. It's expected to hit
a forty four yarder. And so it's like the way
we look at these things, the context of us different.
You're right, You're like, you should go out and hit
a forty some yarder. When you miss it, you're like,
what what?

Speaker 1 (14:58):
When you look back? I mean and we were kids.
We were little kids, So you aren't studying the game
of football the way we all analyze it now and
have fun with it. But when Scott Norwood wide right,
that was a thirty thirty nine yards right, thirty nine
yard field goal, thirty eight was it?

Speaker 7 (15:13):
It was forty seven and it would have been his
longest order field goal on grass.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Forty seven. I I just remember under fifty. Under fifty,
you know that's you know, guys have missed field goal
shorter than that, you know.

Speaker 4 (15:26):
I looked up the staff where you Rich.

Speaker 3 (15:28):
NFL kickers convert approximately eighty percent of forty four yard
field goal attempts.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
That's insane. No, we've come a long way. Forty seven, Yes, Norwood?
Why do I think thirty nine? What was thirty nine?

Speaker 4 (15:39):
Was that?

Speaker 1 (15:39):
Ray Finkel when you lost your virginity? Thirty nine? That
rings a bell? Yeah, oh the age I keep telling people,
I am, Yes, that's it, Yep, that's what it is.
Thirty nine. It tends to be. Oh, that's that's a
good one. But your observations we continue things that make
you go hm Week eighteen Coveno and Rich eight seven

(16:00):
seven ninety nine on Fox A lot of its Steelers
related that was the game. I'm reading the feedback people
who are backing me. At least Luigi just hit us up, going, yea, Rich,
you're so right. Fifty plush our field goals. When we
were kids, that's like maybe a couple times a year.
Guy even attempted it, like fifty plush our field goals.
Now you'll see a guy like in this game, he's
two for two for fifty plus, and you're like, that's

(16:21):
that's a day at the office. You hit two fifty
our field goals in a game back in the day,
Maybe maybe people had two in a career. Back in
the day. Herman Munster, Remember Herman Munster kicked one. It exploded.
I remember there was a Disney Sunday Night movie. Do
you guys remember the Mule the kickfield goals. It was
a gush? I think so yeah, I mean stupid, I
remember that, all right, So any other observations hit us

(16:44):
up at eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. I
do believe that the Steelers might be more dangerous than
we give them credit for, especially with DK coming back
and a lot to prove Aaron Rodgers, like you said,
he's got a lot to prove. I don't think he's retiring.
Collinsworth was alluding to the fact that, yeah, if they,
if they lose this game, it might be over for him.
But if they if he if he wins, yeah he

(17:06):
might have more left than him, you know. And you
know what they won. They looked good. He looked decent
doing it. In the beginning. It was a little rough,
but they did what they had to do. So props
again to the Steelers and you know all the teams
that move forward. Yeah, there are so many observations from
as Bar Buddy Zach hit us upset Week eighteen. But hey, listen,
it was we learned a lot, and there's so many
great wildcard games. We're gonna dissect those bad boys. But

(17:29):
let me what's that movie that you loved in the
two thousand spot with Ashton Coocher. I know you're a
big Ashton Kutcher fan. The Butterfly Effect. Yeah, you're gonna
have to be more specific. Cavino nailed Butterfly if he
dominated the early two thousands, butterf guest, that was the
only movie I was gonna say, Hey, dude, where's my car, dude?
Where's my car?

Speaker 3 (17:48):
Dude?

Speaker 1 (17:49):
Bro, there's a butterfly effect that well, what should haunt fans?
Do you remember a meaningless game this year in the
NFL where the Jets mounted a comeback and beat the Falcons.
The Jets beat the Falcons in a meaningless middle of
the year game. Now, the Falcons had a losing record,

(18:11):
but the Jets beat them on a last minute field
goal of like a long field goal too, speaking of
field goals, it was fifty plus. If that doesn't happen.
If that doesn't happen, the Jets get the number one
pick because that would be one game different. And the
Falcons win that game, they make the postseason at nine

(18:32):
to eight, and.

Speaker 4 (18:34):
Yeah, they were one game away from a playoffs and.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
Guess what, Rahee Morris probably doesn't lose his job the GM.
They probably considered that, hey, they weren't as good as
we should, but we'll keep it rolling. So that one
meaningless Jets Falcons game changes the trajectory of the Jets
don't get Mendoza, and the Falcons are revamping because they
just fell short, so they're just going to start over.
So it's funny how the little things like that, like

(18:59):
didn't the Jets also out on Trevor Lawrence a couple
of years ago because of like a meaningless thing. So
it's it chows that guys are trying to win out there,
no matter how dumpy the team is, They're trying to win.
Speaking of the butterfly effect and how things panned out
the Giants, can we talk about that a little bit too?
Did the Giants blow it? Or do you respect that?

(19:20):
They went out They're trying to at least prove something
and they want a few meaningless games. What are your
views on that? Like do you look at a Jackson
Dart and say, I don't want any quarterback even in
the vicinity of my team. I don't care if they
use that as trade bait or whatever the case may be.
We're going out there to win. We compete, Like, did
the Giants blow it? Or do you respect it? I

(19:41):
listen circumstantial right, Like I look at it and say,
if you're Jackson Dart in the Giants and you think
you have your guy. If you think you have Jackson
Dart camp scout of move Elik Neighbors and you have
your core, yeah, but the truth then winning a game
makes a difference of maybe you get picked three or
seven instead of one, which which makes a difference. But
if you're not going after Mendoza, I think watching Jackson

(20:04):
Dart progress is more important to that organization. I think
so too. But you read the temperature, and you know
we're from New York, New Jersey. The Giants can't even
lose the right way. They blew it. They suck, you know,
they blew their chance at the first pick. I'm like, yeah,
but you got to respect that they're there to compete.
You had Scataboo out there cheering them on at least,

(20:26):
you know, leading the team. Jackson Dart showing what he does.
I understand what was at stake, but I do respect
it in the same breath. I mean, I'm not competition.
I mean football. These are the greatest competitors. You can't
expect these dudes. I understand the organizations may want something,
you can't expect these players to do what's best for
the organization. I'm not in that situation. I'll be honest.

(20:50):
I'm a little too trustworthy. I'm I never believe that
the fix is in. I know some people always say, oh,
just whatever. I don't believe in that nonsense. But do
you think there was a sense to yerg when your
team saw that the Giants won, that them winning felt Okay,
I'm not saying you were going to hand the game
to the Chiefs, but you would have felt pretty disappointed. Head. Yeah,

(21:11):
I've had the Giants loss and you guys beat the Chiefs.

Speaker 3 (21:14):
You would have been like that sixty yard field goal
from Carlson, Raider Nation would have lost their mind if
they would have lost the number one pick on a
sixty yard field goal, which Carlson if you remember back
earlier in the season, they lost on that last second
field goal against Chicago because it got blocked at the line.

Speaker 4 (21:31):
Remember yep.

Speaker 3 (21:33):
If Carlson had booted that kick back then against Chicago,
the whole season, the whole season would have been different.

Speaker 4 (21:38):
Probably.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
So Yeah, it's funny how it all works out. But
I'm with Coveno on this. I think you got to
give respect to the teams that still go out there
and are like, it's easier when you have your franchise
quarterback or you think you do. Like the draft quote
unquote experts, they say the Giants' biggest needs during the
offseason center cornerback, and wide receiver depth.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
Yeah, I'll be honest, I think, yeah, that's very attainable.
Not having the number one pick the only reason its
momentum moving forward. I think you're proving a little something.
You know, you're leaving, You're leaving something out on the field,
and I think it's good for the Giants, you know,
in a weird way. I understand the criticism. Another Giants
note you guys may have missed is Russell Wilson. You

(22:22):
may have seen him at the ball drop during the
New Year's Rock and Eve, right him and Sierra we're
hanging out there. Yeah, But Russell Wilson, as of today,
I haven't seen this anywhere else said that he tore
his hammy in week two but didn't tell anybody. So
that was the story behind the story. But my question,
and what makes me go hm, is this. I understand

(22:44):
there's there's something about being that macho guy in the
locker room or just trying to fight for your career
and and play through the injury, and and I understand that.
But when you're Russell Wilson getting all that criticism, why
wouldn't you tell people that you're hurt? And that's why
sounds like an excuse me? It does It's like it's
like a fighter who gets his ass beat and then

(23:05):
he says, yeah, well during the whole camp and yeah,
or I broke my hand in the first round. It's like,
it just sounds like an excuse to me. You know
what it is, Hey, dude, you got your ass whomp.
It's true. It's true. Hey, we're gonna get it. Then
why wouldn't you have said something in week two? You know,
it's a great question. Maybe you must have the answer.

(23:25):
That's the Russell Wilson update that makes me say, hmm, Giants,
blow it or respect it. The Steelers game, we talked
about the Falcons. We still got to talk about Tom
Brady and Moore. Any observations you made week eighteen or
anything that happened over the holiday or this weekend. Hit
us up. We'll get to all your phone calls, all
your feedback. Next at eight seven, seven ninety nine on
Fox Cavino and Rich. Now, it all comes down to

(23:48):
this one game, the best of the best playing for
the Lombardi. So if you're watching it home, watch it
like it matters on a TCL ultimate series, the QM
eight K or the QM nine. This is Super Bowl Football.
Bright stadium lights, fast cuts, big hits, and bigger debates.
Was he in? Did it move? Did it cross? TCL

(24:10):
brings the ultimate brightness and the ultimate black level, so
the picture stays clean from kickoff to the final drive.
It's clear that you could almost smell the freshly cut grass.
Look at that. You see the ball spin on the
deep shot, a toe drag on the sideline, no blur,
no hold up running back. You got the best with
TCL and go big. The Ultimate Series is available. Get
this ninety eight inches.

Speaker 8 (24:32):
Eight?

Speaker 1 (24:33):
Are you into that, big D I think ninety eight
is the perfect size. So every seat's a great seat,
not just the people in the middle. If you can't
be in the stadium, TCL Ultimate Series is the next
best seat available at all major retailers. TC how the
official TV partner of the NFL here for Super Bowl sixty.

(24:56):
So what Dandy G Is saying is nothing against Aaron Rodgers.
He just overrated and oversaturated. Oversaturated was the word like
a pop hit from the early two thousands. This song
was everywhere in the early two thousands out all right, hey,

(25:17):
let's go to your feedback. A lot of phone calls
coming in. So if you want to say how to
people and the Yeah, but Danny g what if call me?
Maybe made a comeback? Like now, that's sort of what
Aaron Rodgers did the better beat and yeah, how cool
is that? I mean, it's been a long time, so anyway,
Cavino and Rich, it's good to be back. Happy New Year.

(25:37):
Have you ever wiped with a piece of dry turlet
paper and wondered? Is this as good as it cants?
Let's not switch to life changing wet extra large flushable
Dude Wipes, Dude Wipes, Dude wipeeswater just cleans Better, Available

(25:58):
clean pants down, get it, Dude down. Sweet Observations from
Week eighteen to the NFL And by the way, I'm
looking at the feedback, I'm not ignoring the forty nine
ers losing. I'm getting to it. Yeah, but it was
Saturday then. Yeah, they're saying their offense, their offense couldn't
do anything. You got to give credit word's due and

(26:20):
that's Seattle Seahawks defense defense. If they play like that
throughout the playoffs, man, I'm quite true, who will score
on them? It's just such a contrast, because weeks leading
up to that game, the forty nine Ers Riches forty
nine Ers offense looked unstoppable, just driving the ball with ease,
just moving the ball downfield, and couldn't do anything against

(26:43):
the Seahawks and nothing. I said this to Rich, It's
like they always say in baseball, good pitching stops good hitting. Well, yeah,
good defense like the Seahawks o stomped, clobbered the forty
nine ers offense. You know, I believe it was our
boy KB who called that game. Was it Burke Cart?
Who that was? Akman and Buck? Yes? Yeah, correct, I
believe they were even saying they're on the broadcast. Like

(27:04):
it felt like the forty nine Ers were earning every
yard like if McCaffrey ran for four. It was like
a hard tough for it. It wasn't like, you know,
just bounced through the line of scrimmage, like every yard
they were stingy as f the Seahawks defense. If Dan
Byer was here, I'd give him a salute and a
bro hug and say, listen, man, your team deserved that

(27:26):
one seed. The Niners couldn't get their jobs done. A salute,
a bro hug, and a slapper in the ass because
his team they dominated.

Speaker 3 (27:32):
That the whole reason. Job, that's the whole reason. Mike McDonald,
Mike McDonald, it's spelled ma ac. So is it like
Matt great job? Is a great job, Mike McDonald, though,
defensive coordinator of Michigan and then the Ravens. Speaking of
the Ravens, that's why he got this Seattle gig. So
it does not surprise me their defense is playing this well.

Speaker 1 (27:52):
Dude, it was. It was pretty impressive, I will say.
But you know what, though, I think I'll be excuse boy.
I think Trent Williams, Ricky Piersoll some of the missing layers.
If the forty nine ers get past Philadelphia and they
have to play the Eagle of if they have to
play the Seahawks again in two weeks, I don't hate.
I don't hate our chances to make it more competitive,

(28:13):
but you still have big weapons out there. McCaffrey, Kittle,
and they seemed to game to game is different. E've
been party that couldn't really do much against that defense.
Were one goal line McCaffrey tip into an interception away
from being it would have been thirteen to ten with
ten minutes left of the game. So it wasn't terrible.

(28:34):
The Niners defense a little better than I thought they would.
They held them.

Speaker 5 (28:37):
Yeah, but no, Tuddies, Can I share a stat with you? Yeah,
I've found wild. It was Kyle Shanahan's first game with
the Niners. He was held at three points and he
had not been held to three points or less until
that game. So you're talking about like a span of
like what seven eight seasons. I'm not saying twenty seventeen.
I'm not saying the forty nine Ers go into Seattle
in a couple of weeks and get revenge.

Speaker 1 (28:58):
You never know. But I'll tell you what. That was
an all time performance by the Seattle Seahawks defense really well,
because I mean, you think Kyle Shanahan's gonna have his
two worst games. And I say that confidently because I
am shocked that the Eagles are favored by three and
a half. I know they're home, but that's why that's
the only reason if you've been watching, if you were
watching that Eagles team, do they scare you? I mean,

(29:21):
if they could beat the Niners, then I could, you know, steam,
what's the old stupid I don't get the Express eat Crow.
What does that even mean? I'll be upset.

Speaker 3 (29:28):
Yeah, Rich the Eagles had nine penalties called against them again.
They are playing sloppy right now, especially on the offensive
side of the ball.

Speaker 1 (29:36):
So, Danny Gy, would you be shocked if the Niners?
Would you be shocked if the Niners beat the Eagles?

Speaker 4 (29:40):
I would not not shocked.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
But with it being in Philly, and if the Eagles
can play a clean game and control the clock, it'll
be close.

Speaker 1 (29:48):
That's Brock Purtty's revenge game. Bro that's where remember when
he got hurt a couple of years ago in the
NFL Championship game. This is a Brock revenge game. So
I'll be rooting for him to beat the Eagles. Fresh Crow,
I'm not going to eat what even what that means?
Speaking of stats though, and crazy stats, Iowa, Sam, how
about the Jets with no picks? I mean the Jets
are the Jets, I get it, but not one interception?

Speaker 5 (30:09):
Like it takes luck to actually not have an interception?

Speaker 1 (30:12):
And where do you put you know, It's like it's
like going zero for seven on a parlay. You like, yo,
not only I was so bad that I missed all seven?
Oh yeah, that's that's a really wild stat. And Miles
Garren's breaking the SAX record, where do you put that,
rich like, as an accomplishment, props to him. You did
in college twenty three in twenty five, where do you

(30:34):
put that straight hand? Didn't seem to give it all
that much credit. I mean, he gave him credit, but
not the record that much credit. If you want to
gain difference and everything, you know, if you want to
if you want to talk about stats, there was a
step being thrown around.

Speaker 4 (30:47):
Now.

Speaker 1 (30:47):
I don't know if this matters either. You know, they said, well,
you know, Miles Garrett had one more game, but it
with sacks. As a stat called chances, meaning you can't
suck a quarterback if the balls run against you. Miles
Garrett actually had less quarterback pass attempts because you like,
I think it was like five forty to five twenty.

(31:08):
There's a number where he has chances. You can't take
anything away. The point was made many times too. How
he did it, you know, with that team still shining
and playing hard is pretty amazing. So credit to him
with his twenty three sacks. And on the flip side
of that, yeah, I do want to make one more
observation that made me go, hmmm, well, there's plenty more.

(31:29):
I feel like Joe Burrows the only guy that touches
his hair more than me. And not only did he
have all this weird, nervous energy about his hair and
it went viral. You probably have seen it, but I
didn't like what he said. Again, dude, I don't like
his demeanor and we all like Joe Burrow. Let's make
that clear. What he's saying is concerning losing isn't fun
for anybody, but that's part of the game. And the

(31:52):
way he's saying it, and in the manner in which
he's saying it, it doesn't vibe with me. It doesn't
sound good. A leader shouldn't be talking that way. The
guy that wants to, you know, get him next year
shouldn't be talking that way.

Speaker 4 (32:04):
So I don't know.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Made me say, let's say how to Matt and Georgia. Matt,
what's up, buddy boy?

Speaker 8 (32:10):
Hey, what's going on?

Speaker 1 (32:10):
Fellas?

Speaker 4 (32:11):
Real quick?

Speaker 8 (32:11):
I got a couple of things to be fair.

Speaker 4 (32:13):
First, Russell Wilson was not hurt. He's a diva that
is no longer a good quarterback.

Speaker 1 (32:18):
Yeah, when you say I didn't tell I was hurt,
but didn't tell anybody. That sounds like an excuse. Maybe
even if it's true, it just doesn't sound right to me.

Speaker 8 (32:26):
Second, the second the Ravens. If you need a kicker
to win the game for you, you can't blame it
on the kicker.

Speaker 5 (32:31):
You blame it on the team.

Speaker 8 (32:33):
The Falcons not only got beat by the Dance in November,
but lost two days in overtime.

Speaker 4 (32:39):
But what I really called about is Seattle, the DAGs,
New England, Denver.

Speaker 8 (32:43):
The Rams, Houston, pitt Carolina, Newbhood in the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (32:48):
And it is awesome.

Speaker 1 (32:49):
Yeah, dude, it is. It is nice to see a
lot of new teams emerge for this year's postseason. Honestly,
I can't wait to go over all these games with
you guys. But first let's go to Ilo for an
update and then more observations and again into wildcard weekend
went to Byelow.

Speaker 7 (33:04):
All right, guys, we got three head coaches that have
been fired today on Black Monday. In the NFL, the
Arizona basically, Arizona fired Jonathan Gannon three seasons. He went
fifteen and thirty six, including three and fourteen this season.
The rest of the NFC West combined this season lost
thirteen games, Arizona lost fourteen. The Raiders fired head coach

(33:25):
Pete Carroll after one season as they went three and fourteen.
Browns fired head coach Kevin Stefanski just by two Coach
of the Year awards. He made two playoff trips in
six seasons with Cleveland, but it was just eight and
twenty six over the past two years.

Speaker 1 (33:38):
Hi, love, don't you feel like there's a sense of
when the coach gets fired, but you realize they're gonna
be fine. Like if I'm Kevin Stefanski, there's a part
of me that's like, I get a new he's gonna
get a job in the next if not next year,
the year after, and he gets out of Cleveland like
he did all he could and it just didn't work.
Like there's different ways to get fired. Stefanski should be
happy today.

Speaker 7 (33:57):
He feels like the guy who got off the Titanic
at Southampton, if I can put.

Speaker 1 (34:02):
It that way, Yes, no, I mean it's not gonna
get better there. So like Kevin Stefanski is probably like okay,
he was trying trying to frown and trying not to smile.
He'll get a gig in a year if not to well.

Speaker 7 (34:16):
Along those lines, the ESPN reports he's currently expected to
speak with the Falcons, Giants, and Titans about their head
coaching jobs, and that the Titans will additionally be interviewing
now former Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris. Got another
detail about this, Russell Wilson's story that you guys in
your caller has been talking about and in case people
have just tuned in, Russell Wilson revealing today that he

(34:37):
tore his hamstring prior to Week two of the regular season.
He would start in two more games after that and
appear in three additional games. And the reason this is
a big deal is NFL teams are supposed to disclose injuries.
They can get in trouble when they don't. But Wilson
tweeted today about this quote. Not the Giants' fault. They

(34:59):
did no because I didn't want to tell anyone because
of the circumstances. I just had to play through it
and to try and go ball out that day. Thought
we were going to win that wild, crazy game. Of course,
he's referring to their Week two game, the crazy game,
in which he threw for a ton of yards against
the Dallas Cowboy and.

Speaker 1 (35:20):
Tweak it again. When he counted down with Seacrest, he
was like five four three.

Speaker 7 (35:24):
I'm just I'm just saying two step back because among
the comments underneath this tweet unbiased Mets fan comment and quote,
bra I know you're trying to pump your value for
the off season, but nobody is buying this unquote back
to you.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
That's what I'm saying it Like, if you were going
to keep it to yourself, then just keep it to yourself.
Saying it after the fact just is gonna rub everybody
the wrong way. All right, Thank you, Ilo, Covino and Rich.
We'll got more observations. We'll play game. Give me some prizes,
so a lot coming up in the next hour Here

How Russell really Torre's Hammy one two step by the way.
On a side note, I thought Sierra did a pretty
great performance during the rock and Eve was rocking, yeah,
even though nothing was really rocking about the entire night.
Old legend there, who was it? I mean, I only

(37:32):
watched a little bit of it, so I don't know
what you're talking about. Right when the ball dropped? Who
was up there with Sierra Russ And like Baron Morrison,
there was one legend. I'm m who was it?

Speaker 4 (37:42):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
I'm forgetting Come on spot, do you know Danny g anyone?
Help me out? I mean, why do you bring it up?
If you don't you think? Are I supposed to be
mind readers?

Speaker 3 (37:50):
I didn't watch it Ross, Yes, yeah, yeah, do you
forget that? Because I saw the advertisements, but I didn't
watch She's in my mind.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
I'm like, is Diana rest all alive? Yes? Yes, you bozo?
She's sang all our hits as old as hell. I
saw it, but I didn't know she was up there.
At the end, we'll say we figured out there's five people.
Can I give you a pet Peeve a month? You're
my pet, Peeve? You bring stuff up, and we're supposed
to read your mind? Like, I don't know. Let me
think of what Rich isn't thinking of? That's hard. I'm
thinking of a guy. I don't know who you're talking about.

Speaker 4 (38:21):
What if you had a pet named Peeve?

Speaker 1 (38:24):
I'm gonna name my next dog peeve piece just for you,
just for you. All right, we're gonna hear about Rich's
pet peeve, but first time for a TIRECT Play of
the day. I think he would go and play the
death thought you were saying. Sam's line was that was great.
The Ravens have to live with another crushing loss to
end the season. Sikes, here's the snap, here's the hole,
here's the boot by Luke, and that kick is and

(38:52):
you're quitsburd Steelers are North champions boy twenty six to

(39:37):
of during the Rock and Eve. But how in the
world am I supposed to know that Rich doesn't realize
that's Diana Ross. That's so obvious.

Speaker 4 (39:43):
This is Diana Ross.

Speaker 1 (39:44):
Rich even famous for one hundred and seventy years.

Speaker 4 (39:47):
Rich Slashi has died Anna Ross.

Speaker 1 (39:49):
Yeah, it wasn't sure. I will say my biggest pet
peeve is people that are braggy about I went to
sleep before midnight. Oh yeah, it's like other wise it's
like the same type of person that's like I don't
own a TV. I was like my uncle Tommy, like
I've never watched one episode of Game of Thrones. Taylor Swift,

(40:10):
I can't name a song. It's like people that brag
about not knowing Stey, I'm with you on that. It's
like I didn't make it to midnight. You can't stay
up to midnight When he was schoolboy, like you're too
cool to be able to stamp with your wife or
girlfriend and be like five four to three, Hey, happy
New Year, give her a kiss and then you can
go to sleep. But if you don't stay up till midnight,
I think you're a moron. Russell Wilson stayed up with

(40:32):
his wife because he was there and Sierra performed, and
the story today is he pulled his hammy. He tore
his hammy. Seacrest was week two and didn't tell anybody
the Seacrest was making it with Diana Rush. You missed it.
I must have missed him. Let's go to bud In.
Austin wants to talk about my forty nine ers. What's up, Bud? Hey, Bud,
how are you guys?

Speaker 8 (40:51):
I listened to you every night. I love it.

Speaker 1 (40:53):
Appreciate man. I love Austin. My wife's from New Bromfels.
So what's up, man? I had I knew that.

Speaker 8 (40:59):
Thank you anyway. I hate to say this, Rich, but
I've been a Niner fan since I was ten years
old and watched John Brody. But they are one and
seventeen when down by seven points or more in the
fourth quarter, and Shanahan is really disappointing me.

Speaker 1 (41:17):
Yeah, it's tough because Shanahan has these moments where it's disappointed,
but you know how good he is, so you can't
really ever get that mad at Kyle Shanahan. I will say, though,
going into Philadelphia as a Niners fan, I'm not scared.
I'm scared what comes after that. I mean, for all,
I know, the Niners lose and my season's over and
I just watch. But as a fan that tries to
keep it real, I think they could beat Philly. I

(41:38):
think after that then it gets tricky because then you
got to play you know, the Bears or Seattle has
It's never been a better chance for your forty nine
ers to win them this year, and you can see
the scene for the Bills, this is their chance. There's options,
but I'm just saying Fred Warner said he can make
a comeback if they get past the wild caught round
these rumors that Fred Warner comes back. He's training and

(41:59):
looking right. So I don't know. I just think that
Philadelphia doesn't scare me. In fact, coming up next, I
want to talk about all the underdogs because I think
this could be a doggie type of weekend rough rough
med dog Russo style doggies everywhere. We'll get to that
in a bunch more next right here, see a r
