Speaker 1 (00:00):
You are listening to the Dan Patrick Show on Fox
Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
It's our two on this Thursday, Dan and the dan
Ets Dan Patrick Show. We'll check in with the Lakers
coming up. The question was posed to Lebron about his
future with the Lakers. We'll have that for you coming up.
Timberwolves said goodbye to the Lakers four games to one.
The Rockets speat the Warriors Golden State up three to two. Tonight,

(00:25):
Ni's at the Pistons game six, Nuggets at the Clippers
game six. Speaking of those games, James Harden has always
been fascinating. When he was at the peak of his powers,
I said he was must see TV because he was
a bucket. He was going to get you at least
thirty thirty five every single night. Couldn't stop him. Now

(00:47):
you can stop him and you can contain him. And
that's been a big problem, not taking shots, not coming
up big. You know, you got Kawhi Leonard back playing
really good basketball, and James Harden has not lived up
to his end of the bargain here. This is a
really good series. But this is a series. If the
Clippers lose, they're going to look back and say we

(01:09):
were the better team, and I do think they're the
better team. Jamal Murray had his one game where he
goes off for forty. You know, you've done a decent
job with the Joker. I don't think Denver is that good,
that deep, and this is a Clipper run where it
might be the last of its kind for this team.

(01:29):
But you finally got Kawhi playing, playing well, and now
James Harden has been a big letdown the Knicks at
the Pistons. I expect the Pistons to win this game.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
I do.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
I don't think that they're going to be losing all
their games at home now do. I expect the Knicks
to get a better performance out of Jalen Brunson if
he's healthy. Karl Anthony Towns has played well. But this
is going to come down to is Tom Thibodeau going
to do is six man seven man rotation?

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Is that enough?

Speaker 2 (02:01):
You know against the Piston team playing at home with
really nothing to lose. You know, we're waiting for the
Knicks against the Celtics. Everybody talking about, Wow, the Knicks
and the Celtics. The Pistons don't know any better. They're like, okay,
we're not supposed to win. We'll tell that to them
tonight and look at what they did. They won fourteen
games a year ago. What did the Rockets win last year?

(02:25):
Like these big incremental jumps here and the confidence that
that builds during a regular season. There are a lot
of teams that the regular season really doesn't mean that much,
but for these younger teams it does. Certainly with Detroit,
certainly with Houston. I think Oka see to a certain
point because they wanted to prove their dominance, and that
dominance is going to get Shay gilgis Alexander the MVP.

(02:49):
If they sort of half asked it or mail it
in the regular season and they ended up with, you know,
sixty wins, then you know, we might look at it differently.
They away everybody in the West and as a result,
Shay Gilgess is going to get the MVP. So certain
regular seasons mean more than others, depending on what is

(03:10):
your ultimate goal or what have you or have you
not accomplished? You know, Denver's regular season did it matter? No,
it's about the postseason. Milwaukee the regular season, well, let's
see how you do with Dame with a full season,
it didn't matter. Getting hurt in the postseason and now
big question marks there. There are certain teams where you go,

(03:32):
you know, the Phoenix Suns. I was curious about with
the regular season. I just wanted to see if it
would work. I didn't like I didn't like getting Bradley
Beal at all and Durant. I still enjoy watching Durant.
Devin Booker, it felt like he sort of was stuck
in neutral this year and that seem's a mess. But
I did want to see what they did during the

(03:53):
regular season. The Lakers, once they got Luca, it was
really important to see what they did in the regular season,
and they showed signs of they can. I thought they
could go to the Western Conference finals. But the caveat
was if they played defense. And you could tell last
night the Timberwolves were going right at Luca. Now he's

(04:14):
banged up, not in great shape and was sick the
pre you know what, over the weekend, they were going
after him because I would too. I would make him
work on defense. Then he can't be as efficient on offense.
And you have the Lebron question. And here was the
question to Lebron after the loss last night.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
Enterance an off season on a roster that has look
adotis that secured.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
The number three season the West in a really tough
West this year.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
What type of thoughts does that give you about your
end game?

Speaker 5 (04:51):
And you know, how many more years will we see
you play? I don't know. I don't have the answer
to that. Something else ad out with my family, my
wife and my support group and kind of just talk
through it and see what happens. And then they just
have a conversation with myself on how long I want
to continue to play?

Speaker 2 (05:12):
Okay, I'm guessing that he has an idea of what
he wants to do. He's not going to share that,
and he probably wants to, you know, let me step away,
let me think about what do we have and what
are the possibilities. We don't have draft picks. How are
we building this team? Who's going to want to come

(05:34):
here with two guys who are ball dominant, who wants
to play? And what role are they going to play?
And where do you fit in with the rest of
the West young teams out West? Those are the teams
that you're going to be going against and buying for,
you know, a chance to go to NBA Finals. Here,

(05:54):
he gets a chance to play with Luca. Maybe Luca
by proxy sees Lebron gets in better shape, gets ready
for the entire season. There jj reddick rookie year, goodyear,
bad postseason, and he might look around and go Okay.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
Austin Reeves borderline all star. I don't know.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Ruey Hachamuro, while he plays well, like they just need
you gotta have a couple of guys. I'd love for
them to get to a point where Austin Reeves could
come off the bench and be the sixth man of
the year. And not that he can't start, It's just
he would give you that blast of offense that you
need when you sit down Luca or sit down Lebron.

(06:37):
They just don't have the depth. They don't have any
big men. You saw that when Rudy Gobert went off
and really Maxy kleeber guarding him. I mean, you know,
come on, non threatening and actually Rudy Gobert played like
he's supposed to rebounding wise, scoring wise, I didn't expect that.
Rebounding wise, he should do that every single game. He

(06:59):
should have five blocks, and he should have fifteen to
eighteen rebounds. Against the Lakers, absolutely, and Minnesota didn't play
well and they beat La in La. Anthony Edwards didn't
play well. I mean, Luca and Lebron. You know, the
numbers are good, It's just it felt like they tried

(07:21):
everything they could to win the previous game and you
don't substitute. And I think that's JJ Reddick. I think realized,
I'm going to put all my chips in the middle.
We're going to go for this win. And I think
he realized if they didn't win that game, they weren't
going to win this series. But Minnesota advances here and

(07:44):
the Rockets stay alive as they rough up Golden State

Speaker 2 (08:04):
Stat of the Day brought to you by Panini America,
the official trading cards of the program. Once again, we'll
check in with the Lakers coming up next hour.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Good morning.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
If you're watching on Peacock, it's our streaming partner. Download
the app if you haven't done so, and I brought
this up last hour. I had a source who called
me yesterday and he was really upset. Now he's affiliated
with the NFL, but he was upset with what happened
with the NFL and the Atlanta Falcons.

Speaker 3 (08:32):
And you have to.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
Factor in the NFL because the NFL was sending out
all this information in an email blast to the teams
with all this information on it phone numbers. Now, I
don't know if there are medical records, but you know,
we saw what happened with the Atlanta Falcons. So the
son of the defensive coordinator, they got fined two hundred
and fifty thousand dollars. Jeff Olbreck, the defensive coordinator, got

(08:56):
fined one hundred thousand dollars. His son, you know, was
prank calling. At least we know Shador Sanders. Well, my
source said, you don't know what was exposed. Imagine if
you could get medical information, I mean you could, you
could get information addresses, you could have blackmail information. He

(09:18):
called it egregious what happened. But the NFL plays a
role in this. And then you have a situation where
a defensive coordinator somehow has Shadoor Sanders phone number, and
that's why he said they got to come down hard. Fine,
and he said they should take away a draft pick

(09:39):
because the NFL has to make sure who's getting this
information and what are you doing with this information that
you can be so cavalier that you're going to go, hey,
I got Shador Sanders phone number, and why is it shareable?
That's that's the sad part of this. Now, if the
GM has it, yes, but there's medical records. When you

(10:01):
go to the combine, when you have your private workouts,
they want to sit down with you. They want to
see who you are. There's no press conference, there's no nothing.
It's just we're going to talk. How do you handle
these questions? How do you handle if I say diagram
a play? How do you handle if I critique you
on an interception?

Speaker 6 (10:20):
You through?

Speaker 3 (10:20):
That's what they want.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
But they also want just as important as that is
your medical information. How tall are you? How much do
you weigh? How is that knee surgery you had in
high school? Like these are the things they want that
should not be available.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
Now.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
There's hacks all the time. That's why you should have
lifelocked because they're always ready to help you protect your information. Nice,
thank you product placement.

Speaker 7 (10:54):
That's a good opportunity for the lifelockers.

Speaker 3 (10:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (10:57):
The defensive coordinator, Jeff olbri had this apology for shud
Or Sanders.

Speaker 4 (11:04):
First of all, I'd like to publicly apologize to Shader
and the Sanders family for what occurred. Second of all,
I want to publicly apologize to mister Blank, Terry Foutino,
Rean Morris, and the entire Falcons organization. My actions, my
actions have not protecting confidential data were inexcusable. My son's

(11:25):
actions were absolutely inexcusable, and for that we are both
deeply sorry. The NFL has taken action and I fully
respect the punishment. We take full responsibility my son and myself,
and we will not be appealing to the find in
any way.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
Okay, could hear it in his voice? There's contrition there.
I think I would have brought my son to the
press conference. I would have said, you sit here, you
don't have to say anything. You just sit here. I'm
going to eat this.

Speaker 3 (11:56):
You're going to be right there with me. You imagine
what that conversation was.

Speaker 7 (12:01):
Like your father, what would you want to hear from
your son? One hundred thousand large from assistant coaches make
good money, they don't make head coach money. What would
you want to hear?

Speaker 2 (12:15):
I don't know if I could hear anything where I go, okay,
I just don't think there's you're doing it and you're
videotaping each other and then you give your this information
to your friends and you're all giggling around, and you know,
you're in your frat house, and just I don't think

(12:38):
there's anything that could be said in that situation other
than I am sorry and I'll do whatever it takes.
And the first thing I would say is, well, I
hope your summer job pays really, really well, because you
know what we're splitting this. I'm paying fifty, you're paying fifty,
and if that means you can't go back to college.

Speaker 6 (13:00):
So be it.

Speaker 8 (13:02):
Day.

Speaker 3 (13:03):
I'm with you.

Speaker 2 (13:04):
But that's well. Now, he might say, well, I'm going
to go ask mom. I mean, you know, I'm talking
to my son, but yeah, you gotta come down, got
to crack him.

Speaker 9 (13:14):
Yeah, yeah, I'm definitely like, looks like you got a
long summer cutting a lot of lawns. Start paying that
off there, homie.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
All right, we'll get some phone calls what's pull question
Seaton for hour two.

Speaker 9 (13:28):
Yeah, we got up there right now, which has run
its course more Lebron and the Lakers or Yannis.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
And the Bucks.

Speaker 9 (13:36):
Right now, it's at seventy two percent Lebron and the Lakers,
but twenty eight percent have that as Yannis.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
Oh, there's a lot of movement.

Speaker 9 (13:42):
There's a lot of movement there, or not movement, but
a lot of thought from some people saying that maybe
the Bucks are closer to a rebuild than they are,
say just one player away.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Oh, I agree with that totally. But if you're going
to rebuild, don't you want to rebuild around Yannis. The
Lakers aren't in a rebuild, but you're not in a
reload either. And keep this in mind. Lebron is a
player option to come back to the Lakers for next season.
It's worth fifty two million dollars, but he must decide

(14:13):
by June twenty ninth or become a free agent.

Speaker 9 (14:16):
Yeah, the but I wonder if Giannis I get He
had that run and it was great, But he's a
little bit of a unicorn because he doesn't he doesn't
really fit the modern game.

Speaker 2 (14:30):
I guess he's trying to get better with his jump
shot or his three point shot.

Speaker 9 (14:35):
He doesn't hit threes. He gets all of his buckets
at the rim. I don't know, maybe I've bought too
much into the threes. Will always beat Two's kind of philosophy.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
But uh yeah, yeah, Yannis is still you know, he
had an unbelievable season. Yeah, unbelievable, like one of those
where you go, dang, I didn't realize he's he had
one of those. I didn't realize he had one of
those shoites, that's how good he is.

Speaker 10 (15:05):
Yeah, Marvin, Yeah, this is one of those times with man,
they really miss Chris Middleton. You just don't realize how
important somebody is and so they're not there.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
Any But he was never available. The only time he
was available the championship. I know Chris with a K. Yes, Paul.

Speaker 7 (15:20):
If you look at Giannis's stats, he's basically stopped shooting threes.
He's down two point nine three point attempts per game.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
That's smart, yes and no.

Speaker 7 (15:29):
But five years ago, when he was back to back MVP,
he was attempting four and a half threes a game.
He was only hitting about thirty one percent. He led
the league in twos attempted the past two years, he
has stopped shooting threes.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
He doesn't have good form. I mean, he's still working
on his free throw shooting.

Speaker 7 (15:45):
Do you need the threat of it though, the appearance
of a three point shot?

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Well, I'm amazed that guys get up on him and
then he beats you off the drugs.

Speaker 3 (15:53):
Like, I'm like, let him shoot, go ahead.

Speaker 2 (15:57):
I mean, even if you make it okay, but I
want i want him as far away from the bounsceket
as possible. There's certain guys you go go ahead, like
you don't want to say go ahead, but you're like,
I'm gonna slough off you just a little bit. All right,
let me take a break. Got a new pole question.
We're gonna play the Lebron James game, and I have
over unders for bad football teams coming up back after

(16:22):

How about some music?

Speaker 3 (17:52):
Who is this?

Speaker 6 (17:54):
This is legit music for the Lebron game?

Speaker 3 (17:56):
I know, but who is this?

Speaker 6 (17:57):
A song going around on TikTok?

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Okay, not detailed lyrics there, I mean, it's pretty much
just Lebron.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
Lebron taking the chat.

Speaker 6 (18:12):
That's all you need.

Speaker 3 (18:13):
Okay, all right, all right, let's play the Lebron James game.

Speaker 7 (18:16):
It's a two part game.

Speaker 13 (18:17):
Band.

Speaker 7 (18:17):
Okay, First, we've never played. I checked my records the
Lebron James Career Salary game. Now here's a note before
you get to Lebron James career salary. He has never
been in any one season the highest paid player in
the NBA. I think Steph Curry, Kevin Garnett, who would
like to go first career sally up to this season

(18:38):
is one year left on a play.

Speaker 3 (18:39):
Well, this season's over, yes, Marvin.

Speaker 6 (18:44):
Seven hundred forty five million dollars.

Speaker 2 (18:49):
Let me see if Todd's listening. Todd six sixty eight, Seaton.

Speaker 3 (18:57):
Five point fifteen. I'm gonna go five twenty two.

Speaker 7 (19:02):
You and Seaton are very close. Five hundred and twenty
eight million in counting Lebron James fifty two million next
year after that.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
In Texas.

Speaker 7 (19:12):
By the way, the past seven years, the leading UH
salary guy in the NBA has been Steph Curry.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
Yeah, he's been quite a businessman there. What is the
career salary Steph Curry, he's at Wait, that's it's called
the career salary game. If he tell us, then there's
no game.

Speaker 7 (19:35):
It's always true.

Speaker 3 (19:36):
And if you're talking salary, you have to talk salary.

Speaker 12 (19:42):
Salary.

Speaker 5 (19:45):
Salary, salary, salary, salary.

Speaker 6 (19:57):
Salary.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
We met Tom in Wisconsin, up in Green Bay, Uh Todd,
Steph Curry career salary four hundred.

Speaker 6 (20:15):
And ninety three million, Seaton.

Speaker 2 (20:19):
Full or twenty five Marvin four hundred even Well, it
goes three eighty nine to five.

Speaker 7 (20:31):
Steph Curry has made four hundred and ten million. He's
got fifty nine on the way next year, sixty two
the year after. So at the end of his guaranteed contract,
he'll be at five hundred and thirty two million. Wow, Okay,
a bonus thing. Who will be the highest paid player
in the NBA the next three.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
Seasons, Shay Gilgis, Alexander Marvin Jaalen Brown.

Speaker 9 (21:00):
That's my guest too, Jaylen Brown.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
Todd, Anthony Edwards.

Speaker 7 (21:06):
It's Joel Embiid. Oh, Joel Embid's contract the next three
seasons guaranteed by the way, fifty nine million, sixty four million,
sixty nine million dollars.

Speaker 10 (21:18):
Yesmarv, can we just do the dollar ranking so we
can just all say to seventy six ers, just let's
just play that game. Man forgot it doesn't play.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
That's a mess. You got Paul George and Joel Embiid.
I think you got what close to three hundred million
dollars with those guys, and I don't know if they
can play anymore.

Speaker 3 (21:39):
Yeah, pulling.

Speaker 7 (21:42):
When Paul George's contract is finished, guaranteed by the way,
he will have made five hundred and sixteen million dollars
in his career.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
Silence Dango.

Speaker 14 (21:56):
Stand a Day, Stan a day, Hey today.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
This is the style of the.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
Day out of the day, brought to you by Panini
America and the official trading cards of the program. Ryan
in Wisconsin, Hi, Ryan, what's on your mind?

Speaker 8 (22:14):
Hey?

Speaker 13 (22:14):
Gentlemen? Five eleven. Hey, I'll make this as quick as possible. Dan.
In February of twenty twenty, I filed for divorce a
month later the world shutdown, and because of the court shutdown,
it threw me into a grueling three and a half
year process. And you know, through that time, I was

(22:35):
able to count on you guys for positivity and to
always put a smile on my face. And that all
kind of culminated on Friday when I was able to
get over to your show and then meet you guys
on the way out. So I just wanted to say
how much I appreciate you guys being so gracious with
your time. I missed the meet and great on Wednesday,

(22:56):
you know, And you guys are the best radio show period,
not just for it. You're the best radio show, and
to a lot of us out here, you're a lot
more than that. So from now on, if you get
a call from long Hair Ryan, I was the guy
with the Rodman jersey walking out the door of that day.

Speaker 3 (23:12):
Okay, are you divorced now?

Speaker 5 (23:15):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (23:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (23:16):
Like I said, it took about three and a half years,
and then it was about another year of recovery and
I finally emerged from the cloud of dust earlier this year.
But like I said, guys, every guy in that room,
every one of you, you're a man of the people,
and we appreciate you well.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
Thank you Ryan, and good to see you in Green Bank.
Eddie in Connecticut. Hi, Eddie, what's on your mind today?

Speaker 8 (23:40):
How are you doing?

Speaker 15 (23:42):
Uh?

Speaker 8 (23:42):
Five seventy five? I call him many times, but I
just want to ask quish your door question. When Dion
was being drafted, he's so famously didn't work out for
the Giants and said he wouldn't play if he wasn't
drafted by a certain time, he'd go play baseball. And
he was very arrogant about it, and we kind of

(24:02):
talk very highly about it. Now you think his son
was just following his dad's footsteps and no one told
him that it was wrong to do that.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
I have to think that it's possible. I said this
and I don't. I think I was the first to
say it. He didn't have an agent, he needed an agent.
Now you're hearing a lot of people saying, you know,
he got pranked maybe because he didn't have an agent,
He didn't understand, he didn't read the room because he
didn't have an agent. Yeah, I think that that factored
into it. If your dad is your biggest cheerleader, are

(24:34):
you getting the truth? Are you hearing the truth. And
with all of Dion's media connections, the first thing I
would do is what are you hearing?

Speaker 3 (24:44):
What are you hearing about my son? Well?

Speaker 2 (24:47):
Are your friends going to tell you what they're actually hearing?
And are your friends as analysts really finding out or
is it the insiders who are finding out. Either way,
I got to find out, and I think Dion found out.
Then maybe you can change the course of history for
your son. But it might have been too late by them.

(25:08):
But yeah, was I surprised that. But Dion was such
I mean, he was so dynamic, and yeah he could
have played baseball.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
He did play baseball.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
But Dion was you know, he was legit as far
as he could dictate where he wanted to go. And
he said to the giants, who I think we're drafting fifth?
He goes, I don't need to learn this. I'm not
going to be on the board by the time you
guys draft. So he was telling teams, you know, I'll
go through kind of the dog and Pony show only

(25:41):
if you're going to be available to draft me. Let's
see Brad in Michigan. Hi, Brad, what's on your mind today?

Speaker 6 (25:51):
Say?

Speaker 16 (25:52):
Good morning?

Speaker 6 (25:52):
What up?

Speaker 12 (25:53):
Doe?

Speaker 17 (25:53):
And Hello, chat Row five eleven. Thank you, And just
to just to interject real quick, Todd, you could maybe
go take an improv class or something and that'll help
unlock some.

Speaker 16 (26:06):
Of those barriers that you've got. But I just wanted
to comment on your buddy in the NFL commenting about
the prank call.

Speaker 6 (26:13):
Tisha.

Speaker 16 (26:14):
There, he's not wrong.

Speaker 3 (26:16):
We just had a.

Speaker 16 (26:16):
Coach here in Michigan at the University of Michigan fired
and he's on charges for it's a it's amounting to
identity fest and whatnot. Now, so you know this, this
prank called this information that's unlocked. Yeah, I mean it's
obviously valuable and it is a kin to, but no

(26:39):
identities haved almost So.

Speaker 2 (26:40):
Yeah, thank you, Brad. Yeah, when you think about it, Oh,
it's a prank phone call.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
That's more than that.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
You know, cost Falcons two hundred and fifty thousand dollars,
your defensive coordinator one hundred thousand dollars. And it's hard
to find a negative with the draft. It's usually feel
good stories. Mister irrelevant, even Laramie Tunsul with a gas mask.
All right, it turned out to be a positive story

(27:07):
eventually because he was a legitimate, you know, really good
offensive lineman. But that's somebody outside who wanted to expose him.
This is the NFL with the information and who's got
their hands on this. That's what I think, you know,
moving forward, just so you don't have everybody has a

(27:28):
rollerdecks and go hey, you don't want Hey, we should
call because that's what this turned out to be.

Speaker 3 (27:34):
Kristin and Cincinnati. Hi, Kristin, how you guys going to
be great?

Speaker 8 (27:40):
Great?

Speaker 14 (27:40):
I've had two things. That's to say, Shanna Shark was
personally right.

Speaker 13 (27:44):
He had the.

Speaker 8 (27:45):
Lakers in five.

Speaker 14 (27:45):
He was halfway right with that Brown just loot. He
was old out there. And I'm a Laker friend from Kobe.
So it just they need to get away with this team.
I'm not sure what they need to do. And lastly,
I wanted to say, you guys are like apple pie,
warm apple pie, very enjoyable, and Fritzies at Drizzi little
caramel right on the top. You need that nice day guys.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
Well, thank you christ Let me see if Todd was
listening to that portion of the program, Tod, did you
hear that guy?

Speaker 6 (28:12):
Okay with the caramel on top of the apple pie?
I'd pay attention once in a while. I know I'm
gonna try not let to ruin my mood for the
next hour and a half.

Speaker 3 (28:21):
Wait, did I ruin your mood? Did you ruin your mind?

Speaker 6 (28:24):
I screwed up, and you'll remind me every four minutes
to that.

Speaker 18 (28:27):
I'm gonna have to try to get past that the
next hour and a half, as you continue to remind
me that I didn't catch the law and order part.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
I try to set you up, which I appreciate you
joining me up.

Speaker 18 (28:37):
Would have been I'm gonna go to you for this
law and order thing. Then I could have at least
prepared something for a few seconds in my head.

Speaker 6 (28:43):
Something fault.

Speaker 3 (28:44):
It's exactly okay, No.

Speaker 6 (28:47):
It was my fault.

Speaker 18 (28:47):
I got the last part. Marvin even try to help
me out. He whispered to me, Chambers. So Tom Chambers,
we're doing sports. No one said I should put together
legal sports. That's why I asked you about sports.

Speaker 8 (28:57):
There.

Speaker 18 (28:57):
He meant, you know Chambers, law and Order, and I'm like, Chambers,
So I'm gonna come up with legal sports name.

Speaker 3 (29:02):
I wouldn't have gotten Chambers either.

Speaker 6 (29:04):
I thought he meant Tom Chambers.

Speaker 18 (29:05):
I'm like, I don't know what that's gonna do what
I was supposed to be listening to, you know, not
to pile.

Speaker 15 (29:11):
Off, but I mean as in an air of good
faith here and being a good teammate.

Speaker 9 (29:21):
Uh. You know, I put together this sponsor sheet every
day for the show, and it's just say it. Ten
oh five Law and Orders is written out there. Everybody
gets that sent to their email.

Speaker 18 (29:33):
Box, which is a little different than you're going to
me to try to say something law and order related.

Speaker 6 (29:38):
And the fact that just there's a.

Speaker 9 (29:40):
Sponsor, that's just the heads up there that.

Speaker 6 (29:42):
Not sure, I mean, it speaks to it.

Speaker 3 (29:44):
Yeah, well, once again, it's it's on me ultimately.

Speaker 9 (29:48):
Okay, if you look at this list, it'll say ten
oh five. Good chance Dan's gonna read that law and
Order thing there, just saying.

Speaker 6 (29:55):
See the prede season, Dan's gonna go to Fritzy.

Speaker 3 (29:57):
To okay, did earlier that week? Maybe I just don't
go to you.

Speaker 6 (30:03):
No I enjoy you.

Speaker 3 (30:04):
No no, no, no no no no, you're.

Speaker 18 (30:06):
Being I I you're acting exactly how I would act
if I'm not allowed to act like you act.

Speaker 6 (30:13):
No, you're not.

Speaker 18 (30:15):
You're allowed more mature than all right, So I shouldn't
go to you ever again.

Speaker 2 (30:19):
I went to you with Doc Rivers yesterday. You were
doing Doc Rivers impersonation all morning long before the show started. Correct, Yeah,
Doc Rivers myself. Then all of a sudden, I go
and here's Doc Rivers after the loss.

Speaker 6 (30:30):
What accounted? I wasn't there for you?

Speaker 3 (30:32):
Yeah, I was in my fault.

Speaker 18 (30:34):
It's not your fault because I was putting on my
own little show beforehand, and then all the good stuff
was left before in the air. And then when you
actually went to me what it would actually count and matter?
I just dropped the ball, as I did when you
were talking about law and order. And then Marvin tried
to help me with Chambers, and I'm like, Tom Chambers,
what other legal sports name is going to come up with?

Speaker 6 (30:51):
Okay, that's what happened.

Speaker 2 (30:54):
We've done, Yes, Marvin, are you going to run me
now too? No, you made a mistake early in the show,
and I'm trying to rally.

Speaker 6 (31:03):
I'm not going to be like, you know.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
Who's okay? But why are you bringing that up? Then
we moved past that. I told you he can't make
that mistake that you did.

Speaker 10 (31:11):
Oh, I wasn't even talking about that I was just
talking about the Chambers reference.

Speaker 6 (31:14):
Oh no, he mentioned me again.

Speaker 18 (31:16):
No, I said, because he was trying to help me, like, no, no, no, no,
it was trying to bail them out because I didn't care.

Speaker 3 (31:19):
It's not your fault that you mentioned Chambers.

Speaker 2 (31:22):
It's your fault that you didn't have the Lebron James
talking about potential retirement.

Speaker 3 (31:29):
That's it.

Speaker 6 (31:30):
That is to admit it.

Speaker 3 (31:31):
Yes, but you know I said it to you.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
I said that can't happen, and you said, my bad,
and then we moved on.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
That's how it's done, Todd.

Speaker 18 (31:40):
Then he was being a good player, trying to help
me out with a clue as to what you were
talking about.

Speaker 6 (31:44):
And I couldn't even pick that up.

Speaker 3 (31:46):
Okay, when we come back.

Speaker 7 (31:50):
It's always better than if it had just gone cleanly.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
And when we come back, no, we're not doing that.
We're not doing doc rivers anymore, My Chambers. Now we're
not doing your Chambers, Marylyn Chambers, Tom Chambers.

Speaker 11 (32:09):
Wat you got to get him my Chambers right now.

Speaker 6 (32:12):
I hope it'll fire me.

Speaker 4 (32:13):
Man.

Speaker 2 (32:13):
I just more year, give me one more year when
we come back. Bad team over underwin totals in the NFL.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
Be sure to catch the live edition of The Dan
Patrick Show weekdays at nine am Eastern six am Pacific
on Fox Sports Radio and the iHeartRadio WAPP.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
Time to play the over under game and we're going
to have fill in the blank coming up as well.
By the way, Dylan, who's one of the backroom guys,
just came out and said, Hey, have you seen this
on the internet where they're trying to come up with
odds of one hundred guys against one gorilla? And what

(32:53):
the odds would be like who would you favor? And
so we were all talking about that that if you
had one hundred humans versus one gorilla, Dylan, what are
the odds of the humans or mate who's favored?

Speaker 3 (33:10):
In here?

Speaker 19 (33:11):
The gorilla is pretty heavily fa These are theoretical, okay,
But the gorilla I think was minus five hundred.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
Okay, and the one hundred humans was like plus three fifty.

Speaker 6 (33:19):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (33:20):
What would this strategy be of one hundred humans trying
to take down one gorilla?

Speaker 3 (33:27):
Some people are gonna die? Yes that much? Yes, I
think you kind of have.

Speaker 19 (33:31):
To peel off like a third of the one hundred
people and be like you're on the front lines, and
then develop your strategy from there.

Speaker 3 (33:40):
I would go for the groin that usually works.

Speaker 2 (33:43):
Yes, I mean that would be if I had to,
when I was targeting an area, I'd probably go there,
and then maybe I could put the gorilla in a
precarious position.

Speaker 9 (33:56):
Yes, I think even if the humans were to swarm,
I think we're grossly underappreciating the size, speed, strength, and
overall aggression of a room.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
Paulie, what's the size of a gorilla?

Speaker 7 (34:12):
Glad you ask always have that ready for you, full
grown wild male gorilla, a silver back stands only you know,
between five and six feet tall. But it could reach
three hundred to four hundred and eighty five pounds.

Speaker 3 (34:26):
Okay, all right, so hellodinana.

Speaker 9 (34:29):
But it can it can lift right about two thousand pounds,
and it punches with about twenty seven thousand pounds of force. Okay,
excuse me, twenty seven hundred.

Speaker 3 (34:39):
Pounds ok too, Yeah, like the pole power.

Speaker 9 (34:42):
Yeah, they have teeth. They'll pull your arms off, they'll
pull your legs off. There's almost nobody alive who can
watch that first group of five go in and be
dismembered right in front of you.

Speaker 3 (34:54):
And then say keep going full steak, full speed ahead. Boys' next.
We got him, we him where we want him. He's full.

Speaker 2 (35:02):
He can't have another human Okay, thank you, Dylan. The
twenty twenty five NFL bad team win totals the over
under according to DraftKings all Right, Panthers over underwin total Todd.

Speaker 6 (35:21):
I'm gonna say six and a half.

Speaker 3 (35:22):
Why do you say? I'm going to say why don't
you just say?

Speaker 2 (35:25):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (35:26):
I get a little dramatic.

Speaker 2 (35:26):
Six and a half okay, Seaton five and a half
Marvin five and a half, Paul six and a half.

Speaker 3 (35:35):
Six and a half. It is the Bears over under
Paul seven and a half Todd eight and a half,
eight and a half. It is seventeen and a half. No.
The Browns over under Marvin five and a half Paul
Ah five and a half.

Speaker 2 (35:56):
Seaton four and a half, four and a half. It
is Cowboy over under four and a half, Wow, Marvin,
Cowboys over under nine and a half Paul.

Speaker 3 (36:08):
Eight and a half. Todd.

Speaker 6 (36:09):
I'm gonna say nine and a half two.

Speaker 2 (36:11):
Seven and a half ouch ouch. The Jaguars over under
Paul four five and a half Marvin four and a half,
Todd six and a half, Seaton six and a half
seven and a half. They got Travis Hunter, the Raiders
over under Todd eight and a half, Paul six and

(36:37):

over under Marvin five and a half. Bloop bloop, it
is five and a half. The Saints over under who's
their quarterback? Seaton eight and a half, Todd six and
a half, six and a half.

Speaker 3 (36:52):
It is the Jets the Aaron Glenn Era Marvin.

Speaker 6 (36:58):
One and a half, wow, Paul five and a half.

Speaker 3 (37:03):
Bloop bloop boop. You got it.

Speaker 2 (37:05):
Taking the other the Titans with cam Ward seating over
under five and a half five and a half.

Speaker 16 (37:11):

Speaker 2 (37:12):
And that is the twenty twenty five NFL bad team
win total game. Uh the Cowboys at seven and a half.

Speaker 3 (37:24):
I just checked.

Speaker 7 (37:25):
That's their lowest over under for wins at least the
last ten years.

Speaker 3 (37:30):
That is amazing. Were they all in and the are
they all in yet? Because I if they are, I
missed it.

Speaker 7 (37:37):
Seven is you're all out?

Speaker 3 (37:39):
Damn seven and a half?

Speaker 7 (37:43):
Well that Division Eagles commanders are going to suck up
a bunch of wins. Yeah, fourteen and twelve. Last year
Eagles commanders wins.

Speaker 2 (37:51):
Yeah yeah, the Jags over under seven and a half.
Travis Hunter era, new coaching staff, maybe a new Trevor Lawrence.
Let me see Jake in Colorado. Hi, Jake, what's on
your mind today?

Speaker 20 (38:09):
Hey Dan, first time, long time. I've got a big
one for you. Okay. So I am talking to this girl.
I live in Denver, she lives in Los Angeles, and
it may have come up that I am maybe related
to Vivica, Will Ferrell's wife, which is not true. But
I said to Aunt, viv invite this over for dinner

(38:33):
on Monday night, hoping you can maybe get the word
out to Will Ferrell and Vivica. Then maybe we can
come over for dinner on Monday.

Speaker 3 (38:41):
I don't think I can help you, Jake. I don't
think I can.

Speaker 2 (38:45):
Now Will probably is listening now, maybe Will could, Uh
you know, I did.

Speaker 3 (38:51):
I So I almost did this last night.

Speaker 2 (38:56):
So I reached out to Will Ferrell and I say, hey,
I got two twenty two Sandler movies under my belt.
I think I'm good enough to finally be in one
of your movies.

Speaker 3 (39:09):
Like I've graduated.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
I put in my time I'm an actor and I
didn't send that. Should I have sent that? And how
do you think Will would have responded?

Speaker 9 (39:21):
Seton, I don't think you should have sent that, okay,
And I think had you sent it, he would have
responded with something.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
Sort of kind.

Speaker 9 (39:33):
With a joke, yeah, and also sort of deflecting okay.

Speaker 2 (39:38):
Yeah. You know, sometimes you wake up and you go,
who did I text last night? And you go, ugh,
I actually thought I sent that to Will. Good thing
I didn't. When we come back the Future of the Lakers,
Dave mcmahamon from the Mothership Will jonas he was there
last night for the elimination game, and also we'll play

(40:02):
