Speaker 1 (00:00):
You are listening to the Dan Patrick Show on Fox
Sports Radio Our.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Two on this Tuesday. It got spirited in the first
hour of the program accidentally, since nothing's scripted on this show.
Fritzi's here, the King of comedy. He's got a song
for us, and it's a couple of weeks late, but
that's okay. Well, I'm an enabler with Fritzy. We'll have
that for you coming out. Because art takes time, and

(00:27):
it took Fritzy two weeks to come up with this
song and it has to do with Terry Bradshaw and
Aaron Rodgers. That'll be enough for you to stay tuned.
I'm sure we'll talk to Ray Allen, one of the
great shooters of all time. He'll stop by stat of
the Day brought to you by Panini America, the official
trading cards of the show. Good morning. If you're watching
on Peacock, Thank you for downloading the app and our

(00:48):
radio affiliates around the country. iHeartRadio Fox Sports Radio for
four hundred cities. Kerry, this program Edmundton oiler has got
roughed up last night, literally and figuredily as penalty minutes
were piling up as they got beat by Florida six'
one And Florida panthers no stranger to penalty. Minutes the

(01:11):
last ten, years there have been four playoff games with
one hundred and forty or more penalty. Minutes three of
those games have involved The panthers twenty twenty three to
twenty twenty. Four and last, night let me see poll
question for hour one is going to, be, well let's
clean that up seat and then we'll go to hour. Two,

(01:31):
yeah we got two up.

Speaker 3 (01:32):
There athlete you least want to fight football player or hockey?

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Player?

Speaker 3 (01:38):
Okay or now hockey players have eighty nine percent of that.
VOTE i think that's the correct.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
Answer, yes it. Is it is very much the, correct, yes.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Sir, yes we also Have dylan not doing the nine
to nine to nine. Challenge is smart or?

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Soft dylan one of the backroom guys talking a big,
game and he was going to go with the backroom
guys to The mets game later on today or, tonight
and he wanted to do nine nine. Nine that would
be nine hot, dogs nine beers in nine. Innings and
he's been. Training he has hot dogs usually around seven
thirty in the, morning eight. O'clock but he said he

(02:13):
wasn't going to go after getting all the backroom guys
fired up to, go and now he is caved in
to our pressure and no longer soft because he will
be going to The mets game and trying attempting the
nine nine. Nine all, right, Yes, Paulin.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
Just to get some background on, this the Average mets
game this year is two hours and thirty seven. Minutes
they're moving along, really yeah that three years, ago four
years ago it was three hours and ten. Minutes so
nine nine, nine that's more than a half an hour
shorter than it used to. Be, okay a real, challenge,
Right and he said the beers won't be an. Issue

(02:52):
it'll be dogs seven eight and. Nine you, know it'll
be the back end of the, lineup you.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
Know so that's a that's a beer and a dog
about every fifteen minutes or?

Speaker 2 (03:01):
So is? That is that about? Right?

Speaker 4 (03:07):
Yeah about seventeen minutes, though.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
Yeah eighteen, minutes a beer and a. DOG a beer
and a dog about every seventeen.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Minutes the first four would be no, problem beer and.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Dog.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Yeah THEN i can imagine just things starting now shut.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Down do you do What kobayanshi does with the? Bun
can you can you, like dismantle the bun and then
have the hot.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
Dog, Yes, Paul, no that's not in the spirit of
watching a. Ball, okay you drink the beer and eat the.
Dog you don't do the dip.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
Thing, OKAY i didn't know there was fine print.

Speaker 5 (03:42):
There they agree you can't be dipping in a cup
of water or whatever they do to moisten. It so
that's that's.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
Weak thank. You todd came in. Today first Thing todd
told me is he had a song he was paying
tribute To Terry. Bradshaw AND i, said. Wonderful what Did terry?
Do and he, said, oh he Criticized Aaron. RODGERS i, go,
well that was two weeks. Ago and you, said, well
it took me a while to come up with. THIS i, said,
well what is the like the music or the song

(04:08):
that you're basing this off. Of and you said that
it was A.

Speaker 5 (04:11):
Oh sherry from nineteen eighty four From Steve, perry and
this would be Oh.

Speaker 6 (04:15):
Terry.

Speaker 5 (04:15):
Okay somehow things played out with The steelers and Mister Aaron.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
Rodgers, okay did you tape?

Speaker 5 (04:20):
This we did tape it before the, show a little
while before the. Show, oh we tried to match it
to the, music which we know how that? Goes, Okay
Olivia Newton john and all.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
That, Okay, now last time we did, this it didn't go. Well.

Speaker 5 (04:34):
Right it's difficult at least for me BECAUSE i JUST i.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Just said it didn't go. Well it wasn't a, question, yea,
YEAH i was just, yeah it's not easy to match for.
Me it didn't go. Well. Right that's, fair, okay, Fair? Okay,
marvin do you Have fritzy's tribute To Terry Bradshaw Aaron
rodgers to the tune Of? Journeys, Oh, sherry.

Speaker 7 (05:05):
You should have moved, down AND i know Hell an
made you.

Speaker 6 (05:10):
Feel, yeah you're.

Speaker 7 (05:12):
Better off with thoughts of your glory days as the man.
Steal now he's part of your, organization.

Speaker 6 (05:25):
With or without. Vaccination oh, tell don't be so, bold
how enrage is wares black and. Gold maybe you got
it all. Wrong you just might be.

Speaker 7 (05:47):
Great focus on straight hand and long not number. Right,
yes it may have been wrong and kind lame decision
taken so.

Speaker 6 (05:59):
Long probably won't win a night. Game Oh, terror just go.

Speaker 7 (06:07):
Forth you Know pittsburgh won't win The.

Speaker 6 (06:12):
North, Oh, TROR i know he's not.

Speaker 7 (06:16):
Your, fave but soon here return to A tawaska. Cave
well at least it's not, farm so don't be.

Speaker 6 (06:27):
Sore he's only got one ring and you have four row.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Tror, okay, ALRIGHTY.

Speaker 6 (06:37):
I think that WAS i think you do tell you
what that.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
ONE i think you can write some fun. LINES i
don't think that was in your. Wheelhouse as far as singing,
THAT i don't think.

Speaker 5 (06:51):
So one of Those Simon cowell moment that was.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
Dreadful i'm being nicer Than simon cow would.

Speaker 8 (06:59):
Be is this some sort of?

Speaker 2 (07:01):
JOKE i THINK i think you've got to get into
your wheelhouse a little bit. Better you have to know
what where your range, is AND i don't think you know,
that just SAYING i don't THINK i know that. Either,
yeah well we should try to find. It, okay, Oh,
terry because once AGAIN i have to apologize to my
audience for doing this to my audience as the.

Speaker 5 (07:22):
Enabler, yes or turned off the station when he starts
to good joke boy stops Good.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Yeah, yes, Yes, Paul i'm so Glad todd went back
and taped it with the real.

Speaker 4 (07:32):
Music it showed every bit of what we wanted.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
THERE I i'd rather be just a complete. Disaster, well
you got a lot of. It you got it wasn't,
complete but it was. Close The STEELERS. Tj watt is
not attending this week's mandatory mini. Camp's according TO u,
shifty he's entering the final year of his, contract and
he also skipped the voluntary. OTAs he hasn't spoken publicly

(07:58):
since the end of the twenty twenty for, season although
he's had some social media posts and WHEN i saw
the first, ONE i, go, oh we got something here In,
pittsburgh and then it turned out to be. Something his
average annual salary is just over twenty eight, million But
Miles garrett is making forty. Million what turns thirty one In.

(08:21):
OCTOBER i can't pay you for what you. Did that's
that's the tricky part of. This, now he does have
one hundred and eight career. Sacks that's five and a
half more Than Miles, garrett sixth most among ACTIVE nfl.

(08:41):
Players uh, Wow Michael parson's gonna get. Paid But Michael
parson's probably five years younger THAN. Tj want What's Miles?
Garrett Miles garrett like twenty?

Speaker 4 (08:58):
Nine Miles garrett is exactly almost exactly one year younger than.

Speaker 2 (09:01):
What, okay that's, it, okay, right but that's that's a
lot if he's gonna want forty. Million oh. Boy although
if you look at, it you, Know Aaron rodgers gave
you a bargain that you're not spending outlandish amounts on

(09:23):
your quarterback at least for one. Year if you're all
in this, year then do you PAY? Tj what DO
i give? You DO i give you this year and
then three more? Years, Man i'm gonna give you three
for one, ten three for one. Twenty so that's that's

(09:52):
a little bit of a deal. There, also you know The,
PACKERS i thought that was interesting that they let GO JayR,
alexander who's a good, player two Time Pro bowler and
was once a star cornerback With Green. Bank he still
has a ton of, talent AND i DON'T i think
he's like twenty nine twenty. Eight he just can't stay.

(10:15):
Healthy but that's, why you, know when you think about
the draft and free, agency all that's, over there's going
to be some players who were released who are going
to end up with other teams and you're going to be,
like oh, Wow Like Nick chubb went to The, texans
AND i hope he has a good year BECAUSE i,
mean he's a really good running. Back when he was,

(10:35):
healthy he was a really good running. Back But, alexander
he might be coming to a team near you sometime.
Soon all. Right, see did we come up with the
poll question frown or? Two, yeah we got these two
that were still working off of.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
Here now That dylan has decided to, go that one
is certainly less relevant for most people calling them soft.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
For not doing.

Speaker 9 (11:01):
That it's.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
Hot do you think that hockey players are better fighters
than football?

Speaker 2 (11:07):
Players? YES i did.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
Too, yes they're not as, big but they're probably a better.
Fighter well they fight on skates, too on the. Yunies,
uh so you have to factor that in as. Well
do you think that helps them look like good fighters or?
Not it could work both.

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Ways you're, Right you're, right because no matter you, know you're,
flailing you, Go, well they are on skates on. Ice,
Yes but.

Speaker 4 (11:33):
The QUESTION i think was who would you? Rather who
would you want to get in a fight? WITH i
THINK i believe or not rather get in a fight
with a hockey player because it's.

Speaker 2 (11:41):
Gonna be over really.

Speaker 4 (11:42):
Quickly and there's some etiquette involved with a hockey, player
they hit, you they hit, you and then when you
hit the, ice it's, over and you hit the, ground it's.
Over a football, player they never get the, fight they
get to have. Contact but a football player three hundred
pounds may just really unload on.

Speaker 2 (11:56):
You Christian, Syracuse, Chris, hey Thanks, dan he had a
couple of comments for, you AND i also want to Throw,
YEAH i love the hockey players have a fighter strap
on the back of their jersey on the, inside and
if you are a, fighter the trainer will sow that
jersey to your pants so nobody.

Speaker 10 (12:15):
Can pull your pull the jersey over your. Head so,
yeah those guys are made for. Fighting, hey on The
Lebron michael, TALK i always thought it was Interesting lebron
catches grief for giving opinions And michael always caught grief
for not having. Opinions AND i wanted to throw a
couple of possibilities in the hopper for The Dan patrick.
Show upgrade to game, manager game maestro and game.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
Technician, mmm game technician or game. Maestro game maestro might
have a little traction game. Manager we know that that
doesn't go over. Well thank, You. Chris let's See david In,
Ohio Hi, david what's on your mind? Today?

Speaker 11 (12:57):
YEAH i had a question From tom after his end
mission of singing there one of my speakers blue in my.
RADIO i was wondering if MAYBE i was wondering maybe
if he could pay for that got?

Speaker 5 (13:09):
Lawsuits?

Speaker 2 (13:10):
Now uh, Yeah i'm gonna have people, saying you, know
you blew out my ear. Drum i'll figure out.

Speaker 6 (13:19):
OUT i.

Speaker 2 (13:20):
THINK i think if you listen to the, show you
listen at your own. Risk i'm JUST i would say
That david H tony In, Rochester, Hi, Tony.

Speaker 12 (13:30):
Hey, Dan, dennis how are you a long? Time second?
Time AND i just wanted to comment, on you, know
The lebron And michael. Thing you, Know lebron is the.
GREATEST a lot of people got to remember that he's
played pretty much the equivalent of like thirty years because
he goes to the playoffs every. Year in his, dedication

(13:52):
like he slept in a cryo chamber for the last
ten years every. Night and you Know Michael jordan's did
do those. Things he was In, vegas you know he
was thinking about playing. BASEBALL i, mean If maser In
iowa wants to see Who lebron. IS i Think marvin
probably remembers this. GAME i don't remember it, exactly but you,

(14:14):
Know lebron played a game when he was he was like,
dead like in the playoffs when he was first With.
CLEVELAND i forget what round it, was but he was
really sick and they were down a bunch of points
and every time he went to the rim he was
getting felled by, everybody and he basically won the game by.

Speaker 2 (14:34):
Himself, yeah but Then michael had the flu, game so
like food, poisoning too much, drinking whatever it might have.
Been michael had that, game and that overshadows Whatever lebron.

Speaker 4 (14:47):
Did, Yeah Paulie lebron's well rested is not a great.
Chip michael never. Slept he was at The, yes he
was at the tables at THE belagei had.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
For, yeah he'd be playing thirty six holes and then
dropped fifty five on the, knicks smoking cigars before the. Game, yes, Chamber,
yeah crying. Chamber he's at The luxe or The luxe
well back in the late. Eighties, yeah which one's The
pyramid that's great at the, Time, yeah, yeah by the, Airport,

(15:17):
yeah The luxe or, uh let's See clay In. Louisiana High,
clay what's on your?

Speaker 9 (15:24):
Mind, yes, sir cand you hear?

Speaker 2 (15:26):
Me, YEAP i got you all.

Speaker 9 (15:28):
Right, well, Hey i'm an over retired. DUDE i get
to go fishing about three or four days a, week
AND i always listened to y'all, show and y'all been
talking About Larry bird a, lot AND i just wanted
to run by you what Pat riley. Said he, said
if he needed somebody to take the shot to win the,
game he'd definitely Take Michael. Jordan but if you needed
somebody to take a shot to save his, life it'd

(15:49):
Be Larry.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
Bird, well thank, You, clay enjoy your, Fishing go out.
Fishing i'm ready to go fishing. Again we'll go out

Him but bass bass are. Great you. Know, crappy that's another.

(16:33):

catch you, know when you have the they're barblous, hooks
so you can't really you'll catch, them but you got
to really catch. Him you can't hook them and it's catching.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
Rich game THREE Nba finals will be tomorrow night In.
Indianapolis by the, way if you haven't Played oakmont or
you haven't seen this golf, course get ready because this
is a golf course that's meant to be. Difficult it's
not one of those where they make it difficult for
THE Us, open and it's outside Of. Pittsburgh it is

(18:30):
a challenging. Course it looks gorgeous AND i got roughed
up years ago WHEN i went. There might have been
two thousand and seven WHEN i played. There, WOW i
don't want to play it. Again but these guys are
going to be. Challenged it'll be over, par that'll be
the winning. Score they might be five over. Par and

(18:50):
the rough you could lose a small child in. There
but there are some really signature holes and it's. Beautiful
it is old, school the Eighteenth. Clubhouse, wonderful. Wonderful they
have a the first hole has church, pews so they
have a huge bunker and then they have grass rose

(19:13):
and it looks, like you know a church where they
had the pews. There there's going to be a lot
that people talk about and do we want to see
our golfers? Struggle you, know all of those. Things but
this is a, great great test in. Golf if you're
tuning in for, birdies this isn't the event for. You Ray,

(19:33):
allen great golfer and one of the great shooters of all,
time joining us on the. Program you Played, Oakmont, Ray, nope,
fine never Have, Yeah, yep.

Speaker 8 (19:44):
Toughest course you played. Today the toughest COURSE i would
have to say Is i'll say On. HOMELAND i would
Say madina In, chicago and then just recently a couple
of months, AGO i played At Saint lucia and it
was a.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
Beast how Is jordan's as far as the test his,
skills his, course uh the.

Speaker 8 (20:08):
Grove the grove is not difficult because you can you
can pretty much hit it anywhere off the. Tee greens
get really you, know really. FAST i think you have
to really know how to chip around. There you, know
you get around the green and it's, like you, know
for the for the first couple of, rounds it was

(20:30):
LIKE i didn't even want to play the place BECAUSE
i couldn't get up and. DOWN i was like blading
everything AND i realized the bounce of my wedge was
was too high for that, Course so you got to
have a low bounce because the grass is really. Tight
Does michael make the course to his? LIKING i would

(20:51):
say that he plays it fairly well because distance really
isn't a factor. There the way he plays, it he
doesn't hit the ball, far but he gets up and
down from. Everywhere so he gets the ball in front
of the, Green he's gonna get up and down and
he's a Great he's probably the best putter That i've,
seen you, know. Amateur so you you lose a lot

(21:15):
of rout of greens there and he's really good.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
There, okay a couple of things. Here grown is the
first organic fast food restaurant founded by by you And. Miami,
right all, right, right So shannon And ray Created grown
and you've launched a nationwide franchise franchising. Program look at.

(21:38):
You you branching, out all? Right?

Speaker 8 (21:42):
YEAH i, mean, uh you, know you get those people
who talk about getting the trainer AND i need to
work on losing. Weight but you, know our bodies are
created by how we. Eat and you, know that's kind
of been the cornerstone of my, career, uh, folks in
on how to eat. CORRECTLY i had nutritionis for the

(22:03):
first time in twenty, ten and even THEN i sculpted,
myself you, know to even greater, point just understanding what
not to, eat you, know eating at the right, times
specifically for a professional. Athlete and so that's the thing
people we're dealing. With we're at this cross roads in
this country where we're eating so poorly the foods that

(22:27):
we have access, to they're killing. Us and so we've
been on an all or getting, diet my wife AND,
i my family and my, kids and specifically my Son
walker since he's diagnosed with diabetes at seventeen. Months so
putting foods in our body to make sure that we
don't take on those, chemicals you, know those those processes

(22:49):
and those GMOs like super important and that's one of
the reasons that we exist is to make sure that
we provide food for. People you, know In miami we
have a drive, through so providing food for people that
allow them to eat foods without the, Guilts foods that
they could prepare for their, families food that they can
eat on the.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Go if you're looking for exploring franchise opportunities At groan
dot org or email at franchise at grown dot. Org
talking To Ray, ALLEN i noticed this on social media
where there was a discussion About lebron doesn't have the. Bag,
NOW i didn't realize what they were, saying SO i Asked.

(23:29):
Marvin he interpreted that since he's, younger and he says
that means that he doesn't have go to. MOVES i
thought of his money was the bag and he goes.
No it can mean a lot of. Things So lebron
doesn't have the, bag what does that mean to? You,
WELL i think over the course of a player's, career

(23:51):
you kind of consistently see what they can do on
a regular, basis and they do. That you pay to
see them, Play you go watch them play and they
do that move that they do consistently and they nobody
could stop. It you, know there's so many players over
the history and just kind of when you look at
THE nba, today we've lost a lot of skill from that,

(24:13):
standpoint because even WHEN i came into the, league we.

Speaker 8 (24:15):
Had mid range. Players we had great pick and roll,
players we had great post up. Players and so now
it's it's kind of like you're looking at a league
of guys that you know you're. Shooting it's a lot
of one on one. Stuff you're shooting a lot of.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
Threes.

Speaker 8 (24:30):
Uh And and, ironically BETWEEN okc And, indiana there are
probably two of the few teams in THE nba that
are shooting mid. Ranges and and that's evident in how
they got here today to be in these finals because
they're not relying on analytics to only shoot. Threes they're
making sure they get into the. Paint so when they

(24:52):
have those scoring, Droughts halliburn drives like in The game
seven Against New, york he just Or game, SIX i
think it Was halliburton just just picking rolls got into the,
paint he scored and so so, ultimately when you talk
about a guy having a, bag it's having that pet
move where they can get to it and nobody can stop.
It And lebron has always been an, unstoppable undenowable force

(25:17):
where if you put a bigger guy on, him he
can't keep up with him because he doesn't have the.
Football if he put a smaller guy on, him he
doesn't have the. Size So lebron's never really had to
have a pet move because he can just go downhill
and score over.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
Everybody, yeah but you, know the casual fan doesn't appreciate that.
Ray they don't see what you. See they want to see,
like oh my, god there's a skyhook or iverson breaking.
Ankles you, Know lebron with, physicality you, know nobody's going
to go, wow look at. That and you Know jordan
had the. AESTHETICS i mean he had you, know whether

(25:50):
it's the fade, away going to the, hoop all of those.
Things it just feels like Because lebron doesn't look his
game doesn't look. Pretty you, Know therefore where he doesn't
have a, bag, WELL i mean also it's statistic.

Speaker 8 (26:06):
Driven the league is because the guys would score More
so being able to get to the free throw, line
being able to score and transition and take the first shot,
available you, know you really don't have to BECAUSE i
think even with With giannis the year before they won
THE Nba championship In, milwaukee you can see that he

(26:26):
was trying to play a certain way where he had
to have the ball in his. Hands he was trying
to make a move and he didn't have. It he
didn't have that skill, set and it Hurt milwaukee's. Offense
and then the following year when he started kind of
moving the, ball got the ball To. Drew drew was
there there one of their go. Tos and Then middleton
was was a guy who down the stretch would score

(26:49):
a lot for, him and So jannis stayed in his
lane where he got uh scored in. Transition you, know
if he got a wide open, shot he took, it
but he didn't know over, accessibility AND i think a
lot of times that's what it boils down to is
just understanding who you are is just sticking and you
have to rely on your. Team so With, lebron you,
know that's just the pop culture way of saying that

(27:12):
he doesn't have a go to move that people can
rely on just seeing from him every. Night but he's
still as much as he's in the, game he's still
going to score twenty five plus points at night just
because he has pure.

Speaker 2 (27:24):
Dominance talking To Ray, allen The hall Of, famer explain
to me The Jason kidds, Situation Brian windhorse, said there's
mutual Interest Jason kidd and The. Knicks him coaching The.
Knicks you Have Cooper flyg coming To, dallas and why
would he want to leave? That and you're going to
go to The. Knicks and the only THING i thought

(27:46):
of Is i'm bringing In Jason kidd if he can
bring In. Giannis If yannas says all, RIGHT i want
to go play For Jason kidd In New. York other than,
that why Would Jason kidd want to coach The knicks
instead of The. Mavericks so this.

Speaker 8 (28:02):
Is pretty interesting conversation because even When tibbs was fired last,
week everybody was, like, well he made it to the conference.
Finals how can you fire a guy like? THAT a
lot of times we're you, know in the in the outside,
world because even WHEN i was on the, inside things
were happening in locker rooms that people had no idea

(28:24):
as to what was taking, place and so people had,
opinions AND i think a lot of times you nailed.
It there's things that are going on behind the scenes
that we're kind of not privy. Too so there is
there could, be you, know some type of deal being
worked where all these pieces kind of you, know fall in,

(28:45):
place and then all of a, sudden it just kind of.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
Happens they fall Like. Domino so it's going to be
traded to the next.

Speaker 8 (28:52):
WELL i, MEAN i know he's been equipping about Leaving.
Milwaukee IN i think it's going to come down to
kind of the bet still The milwaukee sees necessary leaving
for him to Leave, milwaukee and understanding the void that
that that Leaves, milwaukee you, know they really want to
get something for. Him so it really will depend, on

(29:13):
you know what that looks. Like WHEN i got traded
from From seattle To, BOSTON i remember sitting in my
room and the trade the draft was, happening and Then
i've seen proposed trade and it was Like boston's giving.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
Up like six.

Speaker 8 (29:25):
PLAYERS i was, like, Oh i'm so out of, here
and it said, proposed and nobody called. Me but the
WAY i saw the What boston was given, UP i was, like,
Yes seattle's taking that. Easily so it will depend, on you,
know How milwaukee can set themselves up for their future
and who they get back in. Return but you, know
look Out Eastern conference AND. Nba If jonnis ends up

(29:48):
In New, york because obviously it's a huge, market it's
great mark for him and with the success that they've
had recently With New, york but it is going to
require the given one of their core players that they
have right.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
Now IF okc wins, this let's say they win it
in five or, six will they be recognized as one
of the great single season teams of all.

Speaker 8 (30:11):
Time you, know it's hard to say, that but to your,
point it's amazing that they haven't gotten The do you,
know they won sixty eight games this. Year my two
championship season we won sixty six. Teams so definitely from

(30:32):
a record, standpoint they have to be given that respect
and that Do in the same, token they're so, young
SO i don't think people expected them to get there
to this. Point even you take a team Like cleveland
being the number one, seed AND i think they had
the best record in THE nba throughout the. Year most

(30:53):
people aren't surprised that they're not here right now because
they were so. Young and the fact That okay s made.
It you would have thought it would have been In,
Cleveland Okay. See but the fact That Okay see made.
It you, know the game is so different now because
of the three point. Shooting it shoots teams in and
out of the game in the same, token and you,
see the volatility is so. Great you, know you're watching the,

(31:14):
game team is down twenty and all of a sudden fourth.
Quarter it's a type ball. Game and and and a
lot of that does have to do, with you, know
being able to have certain teams scoring and that mid range.
Game you, know it has to come back to, that you,
know because there's too much consistency in being able to,
sustain you, know or or come out of A the other,

(31:37):
Day Oka see came out of a timeout AND i
don't know what the score, was But indiana was up
quite a bit and Dag nall called the timeout and
then they came out AND i was telling my, son
let's see what they've run out of a, timeout AND
i think it Was doport that started with the ball
on the wing at the top of the, screen and

(31:59):
then he swung, it you, know pick and, roll swung
To shay and then he used picking. Roll he got
all the way downhill in his quarter. Layup AND i said,
that right there is amazing execution out of timeout because
it slowed him. Down they got an easy bucket and
they were able to get back and set their defense.

Speaker 2 (32:16):
Up look at you teaching moments there with your with your. Family. Yeah,
yeah you're not just a three point, shooter, RIGHT i
mean you know.

Speaker 8 (32:26):
Well that dad definitely is leading or uh leading the
charge these.

Speaker 2 (32:30):
Days, yeah but you used to go down the lane and.
Dunk people always, go, man raise a great three point.
SHOOTER i, said you didn't see him early in his career,
then because you were. Attacking.

Speaker 8 (32:42):
Yeah and here's the fascinating thing about.

Speaker 15 (32:44):
That.

Speaker 8 (32:44):
Uh In milwaukee and In Seattle, milwaukee we basically played
like A West coast, offense you, know so we got the,
ball we shot. Quick you, know we kind of we
had like a spread. Offense we didn't really have a post.
Guy we could throw it down. There some guys that
score and then those two. Places ONCE i moved To,
boston then we were more traditional TO nba, basketball you,

(33:08):
know WITH kg And perkins on the block and you,
know throw the ball in the pain and kick it
back out and then so it it kind of set
my feet a little more THAN i had been in my.
Career didn't mean THAT i still couldn't dunk AND i
still you, know couldn't get to the. Hole it did
just change HOW i played and the most important aspect of,

(33:29):
that when you think about, it WHEN i came To,
BOSTON i had to decide AM i going to try
to do this on my? Terms DO i want to
do it on the teams? Terms and ultimately you win
a championship because you have to. Adapt it's not the
strongest the smartest that, survive it's the ones most willing
to adapt. It in that, situation it was difficult BECAUSE

(33:51):
i went from shooting sixteen seventeen shots a game to
eight or. Nine but that's what it took and FOR
us win a.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
CHAMPIONSHIP, kg you, know lun.

Speaker 8 (34:01):
Uh kgesus yelled a lot. Period you, know you, know
we we always you, KNOW i remember we we played
our first game was In rome and you, know before the,
Game i'm in here just dribbling the. Ball get, ready
And i'm. Excited this is the first game. Together and
he looks over at me and he's kind of moving
to the locker. Room he looks over, me he, goes

(34:22):
how long are you gonna be doing? That AND i was,
like doing? What And i'm just sitting there dribbling between my.
Legs he was, like you're gonna be dribbling the whole.
TIME i, said, Yeah we're about to play a basketball.
Game this is what you. Do and that was the
moment where you got alpha alpha males just kind, of you,
know kind of banging up against each other because the
previous year he was in the locker room where he

(34:44):
was the. GUY i was in the locker. ROOM i
was a, guy and everything kind, of you, know march
to the beat of our. Drums and so now we
had to learn to share space with other individuals like.
Ourselves and it was it was an eye, opener but it.
Did it taught you taught me how to, Say, okay
in order for this to, work we have to share.
Space and we got to, understand, like this is not

(35:05):
just my show.

Speaker 2 (35:06):

For Sydney. Sweeney, Yes, PAUL.

Speaker 4 (36:19):

internet because it was. Unavoidable it's actually a partnership with,
her like her people approve this and she's making money off. This,
YEAH i thought it was a scam and they were
like using her, name it's.

Speaker 2 (36:30):

i thought it was, awesome fake.

Speaker 4 (36:34):

Speaker 2 (36:35):
Product it's. Real, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. YEAH i guess
she's involved in. This BUT i, mean your next batch
probably up the price there a little, bit next batch of.
Soap yeah yeah, Yeah Sydney, sweeney, yeah. BATH i remember
first time she was In, EUPHORIA i, think and then

(36:58):

one actor to you, know a fellow, actor it's All

couple of comments when he first came TO. La one

(38:26):
was About trademark And Taco tuesday and another about meeting
him At Blade, pizza which he never showed. Up AND
i just think people think he's all of.

Speaker 2 (38:35):
It, well that still has nothing to do with his.
Game i'm just talking about the basketball. Stuff that's, it
because we have to do the same With. Jordan you
can't factor in all the other. Stuff you just look
at the basketball. Stuff that's. All the fact that he
doesn't have a signature move and he scored forty thousand,

(38:56):
points did anybody, say, Well kareem only has one, move the.
Skyhook for the most, PART i, Mean wilt didn't have
a signature. Move it was a dunk, shack didn't have
a signature. Move it was just route. Force but it
comes back To. Lebron when it comes back To, lebron
usually doesn't work out For. Lebron let's See brian In. California, Hi,
