Speaker 1 (00:00):
You are listening to the Dan Patrick Show on Fox
Sports Radio last.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Night, it was one of those Oh, by the way,
it's Boston College against Florida State, and you're thinking, all right,
Florida State's got to be really upset. They got it,
and they were exactly that. They were upset by Boston
College last night more ways than one being upset, and
they ran the ball Boston College did. I thought, you
know what, let me just do a drive by. First

(00:25):
of all, I had to find the game. This whole
Direct TV thing not good. Not good. We'll talk about
that coming up. So I'm trying to find the game
because I thought, you know what, let me just do
a drive by and see if Florida State comes back.
And here we go Florida State and BC Bill O'Brien,
who knew Bill O'Brien coaching Boston College, and all of

(00:45):
a sudden, Boston College goes to Tallahassee and picks up
the victory. Lewis Riddick of The Mothership was on the
call and Bob was choosing was also the play by
play voice, and Lewis had this to say, Bill O'Brien,
with the game now in a spot where it is
over with three knees. They're just gonna take three needs.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
I think in some ways it's worse what they're doing.
It's all of Florida State. I'd like, so you just
showing us mercy?

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Huh Like?

Speaker 3 (01:15):
If that is not an explanation point, explanation point on
this game, I don't know what is. We don't need
to score.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
We could, but guess what, look up at that scoreboard.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
We've proved we've bought for two hundred and seventy yards.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
I mean, what is this Nebraska nineteen eighty five. That's
Lewis Reddick from the mothership Boston College. Florida State is
just the fifth ranked team in Uh well, let's see
nineteen thirty six. That's the ap Pole era. So since
nineteen thirty six to lose its first two games of
the season to unranked opponents, Well, congratulations, stand day.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Standa day, stand outa day, Scanata day.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
This is the stun of the day. After last year,
juxtaposed that to this year, it's hard to be done
with your season. It feels like on September third, like
your seasons seasons haven't even started, and now your season

(02:21):
might be over. On September three, amazing. All right, we'll
talk to Rick Newheisel run down all of the games.
Notre Dame sneaky win at A and m USC that's
a perception win. It's a victory, but that's a perception
win because we're I'm watching and I'm going man USC
is physical. They were a better team than LSU Sunday night,

(02:43):
and Brian Kelly, LSU head coach, he is mad. We're
sitting here again.

Speaker 5 (02:50):
We're sitting here again talking about the same things about
not finishing when you have an opponent in a position
to put them away. But what we're doing on the
sideline is feeling like the game's over and I'm so
angry about it that I got to do something about it.

(03:10):
I'm not doing a good enough job as a coach,
and I got to coach him better because it's unacceptable
for us not to have found a way to win
this football game.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
It's ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
I don't know if he thinks his players are watching
the press conference, because that's sort of what you need
to say to them, not us. I mean, it's nice
that you gave us some content there, but really you
need to say this to your players we acted like
we were going to win that game. Give credit to USC.
They played well, Miller Moss played well, and they got

(03:44):
some playmakers there. That's a big win. Of all of
the teams that had victories this weekend, that one felt
like it was a whole lot more than just one win.
And here's the LSU again. Brian Kelly season openers not good.

Speaker 6 (03:58):
Yes, SoundBite is like basically saying, look, media, I just
want you to know this isn't my fault. Despite the
fact that I'm saying that it's my fault, I'm not
doing a good enough job coaching these guys.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
That's why, you know, either, how do we feel like.

Speaker 6 (04:15):
On the sideline the players already feel like they won, Well,
I'm not doing a good enough job coaching these guys
and to finish in these games because they don't finish games,
and we got to figure out a way to finish games.
So it must be my fault because I'm not coaching
them good enough.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Felt a little passive aggressive there, Blame them, but all right,
all take them. I'll fall on the sewer.

Speaker 6 (04:32):
Hey, look, I'm just telling you none of this is
my fault. That's why it's my fault.

Speaker 7 (04:36):
Gotta respect the passive aggressives.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Thank you Todd, and even banging on the podium like
it was weird to watch it. You know, you can
kind of be fiery. It almost felt like it was
I'm angry and uh oh, I try. I gotta bang
on the podium, hit podium now. Now, now, I got
to do a better job of these guys quitting on

(04:58):
the design lines. What does that mean? What are you
going to do? I got to do a better job
of what reminding them that we're you know, we got
to play a full game here. But that was a
physical USC defense there, and I thought that that was
what stood out. I thought they were the better team.
And I kept waiting for something out of LSU and

(05:21):
it just never happened. But give credit to USC. All right,
so Georgia rolled Clemson. There's times when you lose a
game and then it's not that you lost the game,
it's how you lost the game. You lose thirty four
to three. At some point somebody either needs to tell

(05:44):
Dabbo or Dabbo needs to tell somebody. All right, I
get it now, I understand it. You know. I went
kicking and screaming with the portal and nil, and I
get it. He wants to be old school. Mike Krzyzewsky
never wanted to one in donners and then he took
one in donners. You know what I like winning more

(06:05):
than anything I like is winning. It's not that, Hey,
I'm gonna have to change. Okay, I'm gonna change and
I get to win. I like that more than not winning.
So if I'm Dabo Sweeney, I go, okay, I'm willing
to do this. Now you're gonna get questions. Why did
you decide to take transfers or nil or hey? You

(06:27):
know what, I have to keep up with the time.
I always have to evolve. I'm asking my players to evolve.
I have to evolve, and he needs to evolve.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
You may not like it.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Look I don't like it because I'm old school, but
I understand it if I was coaching now. It's like
modern technology. I don't have a flip phone, but there's
modern technology that makes things easier for me. But I
would have a flip phone, but it doesn't make any sense.
Dabo is the flip phone of college football. Right now,

(06:59):
you just you gotta evolve. Now, you know, they may
be great. The rest of the year. But this is
against the best team, and you used to be right there.
You were one of the best teams four years ago.
We pumped you in with all of the elite teams, Alabama, Georgia,
you were right there, Ohio State, Clemson. Not anymore. And

(07:23):
it has to do with evolving. Here's the analogy I'm
going to make to Rick new Heisel next Dome. If
I said to an NFL coach, Hey, why are you
old school? Hey, we're just taking the players that we drafted.
We're not signing any free agents. That's what's going on
at Clemson. They're taking the players that they drafted and

(07:44):
they're not taking any free agents. How do you think
that would work out for an NFL coach? It would
be the biggest story in sports. If all of a
sudden you had this coach, whoever it is, Sean McVay goes, Hey,
we're playing the players that we drafted. We're not going
to take any free agents. We're not going to trade
for anybody. You'd be out of a job quickly. And

(08:06):
I know that they're talking about what would the buyout
be for Dabosumini. Here's the other thing, and Paul Finebaum
brought this up. Dabo Sweeney played at Alabama. He didn't
even get interviewed when Nick Saban was leaving, so everybody
talked about he was going to be the coach in waiting,

(08:27):
he was going to be the coach in waiting at Alabama,
and I said, no, he's not. First of all, he
would stay at Clemson. Second of all, Alabama would want
to find somebody else. And now Dabo didn't even get
interviewed for that job. That says a lot because Alabama.

(08:48):
I'm sure Nick Saban had to evolve. He brought in
Lane Kiffin to help him with his offense years ago.
He had to evolve. You have to evolve, and if
you don't, you get eaten up. And Dabbo, you're watching
that game and I'm just they didn't feel threatening at all,
and they used to. But you're going to go kicking

(09:08):
and screaming. Good luck because you're gonna do a lot
of kicking and screaming. And they demand winning. They expect winning.
It's not they hope for winning. They expect it. Florida
State expects it. Okay, you brought in dj uiy Unglula.
It's not working out. You lose at home to Boston College,

(09:30):
and Boston College ran the football. I'm give them credit,
but you don't. You're full state. You don't lose those games.
I mean you got out muscled. You sure you want
to leave the acc.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
Not so fast.

Speaker 2 (09:45):
My friend, as Lee Corso would like to say, all right,
the opener NFL is Thursday night. You also have the
game coming up on Friday night. That direct TV situation
was a bummer all of a sudden, getting ready to
watch usc LSU and you know, I'm like, wait, wait
a minute, here we got problems these damn cable carriers.

(10:07):
And then I like Greg SANKI go, hey, YouTube TV,
that's the solution. He gave a shout out. I think
he gave a shout out to YouTube TV, like hey,
just go to YouTube TV. Like right, well, I've done that.

Speaker 3 (10:22):
Mer.

Speaker 2 (10:22):
It's like all right. You know you just after a
while these you know, when when you have these battles
going on big you know, billion dollar corporations, you're like,
oh God, and then you know we're just sit there going, okay,
how do I find you? Like even BC last night
against Florida State, I didn't how to find it until
my son goes go to YouTube. I go, okay, of course,

(10:45):
go to YouTube. Yes, uh yeah, I couldn't see the
game last night.

Speaker 7 (10:49):
I was already and got all comfortable, had a little
snack ready to go on the couch, and I guess
it turns out that if the game is not an
ESPN Plus game, the way the relationship is with Disney
and directivity, you can't see it anywhere. So I'm just
getting updates following it, like on the sports wires. Was
to watch them again?

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Yeah, it's it's uh, you know, we're always at their mercy,
always where you're like, oh no, blacked out and here
you got the lead. You know, build up, and this
is why they do it. It's leverage. But you're leading
up to Thursday night, Friday night, all the NFL coverage,
the NFL package, I mean, all of this stuff. By

(11:24):
the way, we'll have some predictions. I'll pick my Super
Bowl teams coming up on Thursday, and we'll get ready
for the season opener. All right, Seeton poll question for
hour one is going to be, what, well, we kind
of hit a lot of them right there, but who
had the worst weekend? If you are going through that
slew of names, you just threw at us. So we
have Florida State, LSU, Clemson, Florida others neither neither. Yeah,

(11:53):
all right, well we'll ponder that one and then give
you our answers when we after the commercial break. The
other pole questions that we're considering for hour one. You know, well,
we're gonna do the inverse of that.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
Who had the best week?

Speaker 2 (12:07):
Who had the best weekend?

Speaker 6 (12:08):
Okay, and USC Notre Dame Miami other z. We can
throw Boston College on there.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
An Oregon game against Idaho. Now Idaho is a little
better than you think, but I thought Oregon was a
whole lot better than I thought. And I'm watching I'm going,
uh better pick this up a little bit. Yes, Ducks
almost got vandalized. Thank you, Tom. I'm gonna give you
a yeah, I'll give you. Yes.

Speaker 4 (12:37):
I would say Virginia Tech losing the Vanderbilt a pretty
bad one.

Speaker 2 (12:40):
It make it overshadowed.

Speaker 4 (12:42):
But when you're a football.

Speaker 2 (12:43):
School and you lose to not a football school, those
are the ones that really hurt. It is never good.

Speaker 2 (13:26):
Rick Neuheisel, CBS Sports college football analyst and of course
college football coach as well. He joins us on the program.
All right, Rick, we've been talking about this. We've been
talking about Clemson. We've been talking about Florida State. We've
been talking about Florida. Which one is an easier fix
out of those three Clemson. Clemson had a defense that

(13:49):
look the part for much of the first half. They've
got to find a way to get those wide receivers
involved in the offense. Club Nick cannot average less than
five yards in attempt. That's just not a sustainable way
to do it. But they have the wherewithal to get
this done. Florida State has no running game and no
ability to stop the run, and Florida just flat looked anemic.

(14:12):
Now that maybe just because cam Ward's that good. He
looked that good. But you've got a fan base that's
already looking in the yellow pages. Let me go back
to Clemson, because four years ago, they're up there with Alabama,
they're there with Georgia. You know, they're they're among the elite.
And then Dabo said, I'm not doing transfer portal, not

(14:32):
doing nil. I mean, it's irresponsible. Uh Like, at some
point he has to he has to do this right,
he has to modernize. It is a kind of get
off my lawn type of statement. It's a it's an
old school you know, I'm not changing for the sake
of changing. I get where he's coming from. I think

(14:55):
we all wish that we could keep our guys for
the length of their time in college. But it is
irresponsible to not look out there and see what other
teams are doing, especially when you watch George's two touchdown
catches be by kids that transferred in one from Vanderbilt
and one from Miami. But if I'm going to look

(15:15):
at this. Let's say an NFL coach and GM said,
we're not going to have free agents. We're just going
to take the players we drafted. Well, that's the analogy
I would use with Clemson. Hey, we recruited. We don't
want anybody else's players. These are the players that we want.
That makes you the best in the business. Dan, you
can see it. You see the forest through the trees.

(15:37):
That is exactly right. And while you have this idea
in your head, we're doing more than just playing football games,
and we want kids to get their degrees and graduate
and feel like they've accomplished something over the course of
their time here at Clemson. And that's a certainly a
ideal that we all can understand. It's just not real

(15:58):
business when you're trying to win foot ball games. At
the same time. There are big wins and then there
are big perception wins. And I think the biggest perception
win this weekend was Sunday night by USC huge, huge
win for Lincoln Riley and maybe because of the way
they won it, Miller Moss showing that he's capable in

(16:20):
a late game drive to do what he did, and
a defense that held up a defense that held up
over the course of sixty minutes and tackled as if
they'd practice tackling, And to me, that was a huge
step forward for the Trojans and by the way, a
huge step for the Big Ten as well. But then
I look at l issue with Brian Kelly. What is
it about openers that certain coaches are great, certain coaches aren't.

(16:45):
And he is a marquee coach who's now zero to
five his last five season openers. Well, as you look
at who they schedule in their season openers, it's a referendum.
And you look across the board everybody else winning on openers.
You're sitting there going why do they keep doing this? Well,
obviously they keep putting money in their pocket, but his

(17:08):
comments after the game were more about an attitude like
we've accomplished something while the game was still in hand,
and that, to me is something about a culture that
he's got to get fixed. Talking to Rick new Heisel,
CBS sports college football analyst and of course a former
college head coach, Notre Dame had one of those sneaky

(17:28):
wins because they were underdogs at Texas A and M.
And if you look at the schedule. I know they
can only finish as high as five in the twelve
team playoffs, but it's a manageable schedule for Notre Dame.
I will make a ridiculous referendum right here, Rick A.
Rick's ridiculous referendum here that they're in the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (17:52):
They're in.

Speaker 2 (17:53):
That game was so huge for them because they're going
to be judged amongst a bunch of SEC teams at
season's end. Had they lost on the road and finished
ten and two, it would have been much harder. This
victory allows ten and two to get in. I think
that as you look at the schedule, ten and two's
an easy number to get to, especially with the way

(18:15):
that defense played, I think, and Marcus Freeman's becoming a
rock star. That little focus on him at the end
of the game, the handsome guy coming off. I told
you so that that's gonna carry some weight down the stretch.
I think, and I also believe that the College Football
Playoff Committee will have them seated somewhere between five and eight.
So the Irish get a home game, Yeah, yeah, yeah,

(18:38):
without question. That is that's made for television. Gold Listen,
it's happening. The Irish are in. That'd be the Golden Dome.
Is what you're saying. It's gold That's what I meant
to say. Leave it, leave it to details. You know,
if I came for me, if I if I gave
you Georgia or the field. Wow, George is tough to beat.

(19:02):
They're the other team that's already in the playoffs and
their schedule still daunting. They go to Tuscaloosa, I that
one in Tuscaloosa. Caylin debor everybody I know in Tuscaloosa
says how good they look. Everybody and we always assume
Nick Saban was the goat and just can't get any better.
And yet this guy, if you look at his record,

(19:23):
what is he one hundred and something in twelve, I
mean he's he's a phenom, whether you're counting South Dakota,
Fresno or Washington twenty five and three. They blew out
of the gates the other day. It but George's in
the playoffs. But that Alabama Georgia game I can't wait for.

(19:43):
But if I look at you know, Alabama, Ohio State
in Texas, I don't know if I take anything away
from week one, I mean they played weak opponents certain Texas.
Texas looked darn good defensively without those two defensive tackles.
They gave up less than two hundred yards to a
Colorado State offense where the quarterback and the wide receiver
were both offered six hundred grand to leave in the

(20:06):
nil market. That saying something when you can just absolutely
shut them down as you did without those two big
hosses up front. Well, we're going to get a better
idea of Texas this weekend when, yes, they played Michigan.
Do you what do you that's the marquee matchup? What
do you expect out of that? I think a close
game for a while and then Sark and company take

(20:27):
it over. I think they're that put together. Davis Warren
fifteen to twenty five in his first game, okay, and
certainly got his feet wet. A home crowd will be helpful.
I think they hang around, but I don't know that
there's enough octane in their offense to hang with Texas.

(20:47):
I know that you were probably the first to say
it that you thought Jim Harball was leaving Michigan. This
a long time ago when we talked about it. Now
he's with the Chargers, does anything happen to Michigan you
think down the road with any of this. With Connor Stallions,
I think it was interesting that they changed plans for
having Jim Harbaugh come and be the honorary captain in

(21:08):
week one. You know, for him to say that it
was he wanted to focus on the Chargers, I think
he could have focused on the charter long ago. I
think that was let's not just poke these guys in
the eye and make sure own more take the hit
here for what is obviously a little bit of a
cover up. Listen when Connor Stallions goes on Netflix and says,

(21:33):
I do not recall, that's when we know we've got
a little g Gordon Letty going on. Great to talk
to you so always. We'll catch up again. Thanks, but
always a blast. DP enjoy the season. Rick new Heiser,
our good buddy, contributed a few songs over the years
and always appreciate his insights in college football.

Levitard Show with We Have Todd Fritz.

Speaker 10 (23:45):
Oh.

Speaker 11 (23:47):
I genuinely missed the announcement.

Speaker 4 (23:49):
What is our audience? Look?

Speaker 9 (23:52):
Our executive producer was asleep at the wheel and totally
missed the announcement.

Speaker 4 (23:56):
Can you make it again?

I remember my first time on Peacock.

Speaker 2 (25:09):
For those who haven't seen it, how would you describe
your show, Dan uh.

Speaker 9 (25:15):
Lesser in every way to yours. I want to tell
your audience that Dan Patrick is a hero of mine.
I am really thrilled to be behind him in the lineup.
I will say that Paulie is a hero of mine.
That was an unfair shot by Dan Patrick at Pauli.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
I mean, I'm sorry.

Speaker 4 (25:33):
What was the shot? He said? Todd Fritz was the
name that he was going to put on the show.
What was the shot at Pauli?

Speaker 2 (25:38):
He said he had a bad executive producer as well.

Speaker 4 (25:40):
Paulie is the executive producer.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Paulie is an exceptional fact.

Speaker 8 (25:43):
He's in my top five executive producers of all time.

Speaker 2 (25:46):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (25:48):
Really, congratulations? And Fritzi is a top five guest booker
of all time.

Speaker 8 (25:53):
How about that?

Speaker 4 (25:54):
That's for sure.

Speaker 9 (25:55):
That's for sure, Dan, I'm going to tell the people
I think they know this that you've heard me say
it to you before, and I've said it to your
audience before. H you led the way with producers talking
on the air and going to a confessional box to
talk in breaks. You pioneered leaving ESPN doing a show
in your attic and showed.

Speaker 4 (26:15):
Me how hard and doable these things are.

Speaker 9 (26:19):
So I really am thrilled that our thing gets to
exist behind yours, in support of yours, at.

Speaker 4 (26:25):
Your back, sir, because of DP we heard from Ethan today.

Speaker 9 (26:28):
I mean, that's right, that is what happened today. Another
producer grabbed a microphone. Who shouldn't, Dan, You've got you've
got a lot of control over your microphones. I do
not have any control over my microphones.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
Well, thank you, thank you for the kind words. Once again,
the Dan Lebotard Show and you can see it on
Peacock and uh it'll follow our show, all right? Can
I ask you some sports questions or do you want
me to do? I mean, my career feels like it's
you know, it's slowing down, and maybe dropped a peg
or two with this, but.

Speaker 4 (27:02):
I don't believe it has I am. I am here
to bolster. You we heard you're going to retire in
four years.

Speaker 9 (27:09):
You made a big announcement that you were going to do.
It's like saying I'm going to retire in four hundred
and forty years.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
You might speed that up there. You're giving you that's right.
I'm trying to rush you out the door.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
Ball. I don't know, you know, up into the dance. Dan,
you should announce your retirement today as well.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
In four years.

Speaker 9 (27:25):
All right, you know what, I retire whenever Dan Patrick retires,
we leave together.

Speaker 4 (27:30):
I'm announcing that as well today.

Speaker 9 (27:32):
Hey, everybody here, you've got the same amount of time
to get out of the house that Dan producers do.

Speaker 2 (27:39):
December twenty four, twenty seven.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
That's it.

Speaker 2 (27:43):
That's it, We're done.

Speaker 4 (27:44):
All right, let's do it together. I just announced that
as well. Dan Patrick and I are retiring on the
same day.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
To down there.

Speaker 4 (27:53):
I think TV just locked you into working on Christmas Eve.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
I mean, okay, here's a question for you. What would
be bigger if the Dolphins had a really, really, really
successful season or the Miami Hurricanes, if you could pick.

Speaker 9 (28:12):
I would say that the Dolphins have always been the
biggest story in this town, and the University of Miami
gave us a fun run after the Dolphins did, but
generationally what's been handed down has been bigger for the Dolphins.
The Dolphins put this city on the map sports wise.
Don Schull has an expressway named after him. The University

(28:32):
of Miami was more interesting because they were controversial, but
the Dolphins were simply excellent historically and this century, neither
one of them has been any good dan and so
people in South Florida who love football and have had
it handed down from their grandparents, they have not seen
This generation has not seen a Dolphins team really matter,

(28:53):
and they got so much hope that the one of
the last two years that also hasn't mattered because it
hasn't won a playoff game, felt insane and looked like
it mattered simply because they got an offense. So people
here are starved for football, and that's been the franchise
that always mattered.

Speaker 4 (29:08):
That heat took this city away from them. If the
Dolphins win, they'll take it back.

Speaker 2 (29:13):
But you have a generation that didn't experience the U
winning either. So you you have generations with both of
these teams that haven't seen, you know what the the
peak success story was for both of them.

Speaker 9 (29:27):
You're right, and I would just say pro football, trump's
college football in just this isn't a college town. This
was first a professional football town. In sports.

Speaker 11 (29:36):
You thought sports fans were mad when there was a
playoff game exclusively behind Peacock. Now imagine the Dan Lebotard
Show with Stu Gott's not exclusively behind Pecock.

Speaker 1 (29:51):
Also, I should also.

Speaker 9 (29:52):
Announce we're going to be on Serious XM channel eighty
five as part of this too.

Speaker 4 (29:57):
We're gonna Yeah, it's a in a radio. It's a
dual announcement. That's right.

Speaker 9 (30:02):
Stuc Got's is back on the radio. Dan Patrick still
dominates that. I will tell the audience and forgive me
Dan if I derail sports talk. But honest to god,
you showed us the way. Like there was a time
in your career where you thought you couldn't do a
radio show and now you've got one of maybe five
or ten monsters that exist in sports in the United States.

Speaker 2 (30:23):
Well, thank you, but it's true.

Speaker 4 (30:26):
Right, You're right? Am I wrong?

Speaker 3 (30:27):
H Uh?

Speaker 2 (30:28):
You know, I had a lot of people who helped
along the way, but it was mostly me, of course.
But I'm just saying, you know, as you always take
credit for all the things that you do on your show.
Whenever I talk to you, it's like, God, did they
get in the way of my greatness? And I'm like, yeah,
I know, I know the problem there, Dan h finish

(30:50):
this statement. The mission statement of the Dan Levittard Show.

Speaker 9 (30:54):
Is uh wow, Okay, this one's gonna be hard to
try and be different in a environment that ought to
be fun and sometimes isn't because we spend a whole
lot of time, you know, criticizing, blaming, and also we
talk about Trump some.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
But you guys do some blaming, and I mean, you
have some serious topics there, don't you.

Speaker 9 (31:21):
Yeah, But I well, I try not to be too
terribly judgmental. Look, one of the many things I admire
about you is that as shrill as all of this
has gotten, in the center of it, you are a
pillar of professionalism. And when you scorch someone, it matters
because you're not doing it every day. You're not doing
it to get aggregated. When you scorch someone, it means
that someone distinguished is hitting someone hard. And you don't

(31:44):
spend a lot of time there either, like our show, well,
our show often isn't cruel about human beings, and we
also features to gods.

Speaker 2 (31:55):
Thank you, Dan, You're welcome. Just what I need another
day in my life. Well, all I know is it's
one of the more interesting car rides that I've ever
had in my life, though, with you, Stu Gotts. When
I left Dan's wedding and you volunteered to take me
back to my hotel.

Speaker 4 (32:15):
Right, and how many things did he ask you for?
That's what you do for a friend.

Speaker 9 (32:18):
How many numbers in your phone did he ask you for?
How many famous people? How many things did he ask
you for?

Speaker 2 (32:24):
Well, now I don't want to, okay. He asked for
a job if he ever left, would I be interested
in hiring him?

Speaker 3 (32:37):
I did?

Speaker 4 (32:37):
Yeah, let him fly, Dan, it's looking okay.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
He asked me how much money he should be making.
He talked about his daughter's playing lacrosse. He wanted to
know what I thought about his BMW, and he wanted
to know if he could come in and have a drink,
not in that order, not and that much?

Speaker 4 (32:56):
How much money should he be making?

Speaker 2 (32:58):
Not as much as he said, but a little more
than he was getting paid. Just put it that way,
I should get ten percent of that guys, Okay, I
got to resume my regularly scheduled program here Dan.

Speaker 4 (33:15):
Good seeing you, buddy. I love you, and I'm thrilled.

Speaker 9 (33:17):
I really am thrilled that we're teaming up for the
last four hundred years of your career when you eventually resire.

Speaker 2 (33:25):
How about a fake round of applause for The Dan
Levatard Show. Yeah we did it. Okay, all right, thank
you Dan. The Dan Levatard Show with Steve Gotts
