Speaker 1 (00:09):
Welcome to the Favorites, presented by DraftKings.
Speaker 2 (00:12):
The crown is yours.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
I'm Brandon Kravitz, joined by my faves Kendra and Stucky
for a fun filled, picks filled Thursday show. On today's episode,
we'll submit our official plays for week six in the NFL.
We've got our stat of the week, our two Kings,
and a Queen parlay, some public darlings that you need
to be aware of, like and subscribe wherever it is
(00:35):
that you are tuned in. Guys, I feel calm and
confident about my picks this week. All the teams that
I'm betting on, all the bets have already been placed.
We are pencils down here at the Kravitz household, likely troubling. Kendra,
how do you feel as we enter week six?
Speaker 3 (00:52):
I don't feel good. I don't feel good.
Speaker 4 (00:55):
This has to be one of the weirdest seasons in
my recent memory. From like a gamble perspective, the spreads
for like weeks four.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Through six have been so massive for so so many teams.
Speaker 4 (01:07):
It's got to be like I would say probably two
thirds of the league feel like some of these spreads
are getting to be like college numbers. And I have
to say I think the Seahawks are gonna beat my
dag Wars this week.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
I've been saying that though it's.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
One game, I've not made a bit on Stucky. How
do you feel heading into Week six? Confident, unsure, dis maade.
Speaker 5 (01:26):
Same as always. I mean, just do the work. We've
doing this for being in the NFL for twenty years.
Do work and then Sunday comes, enjoy it and hope
you get the bounces. Like a lot of times, it's
just gonna come down to turnover margin, some fourth downs.
It's a gameplay with the oblong ball. You know, you
hope the injuries in game break right for you. So yeah,
(01:50):
just do the work, complete the grind, enjoy Sundays, and
hope the bounces, late game variants, field goals, all that's
all that stuff. The reason why we love sweat foot
goes your way.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
So that you sound like a sports betting monk.
Speaker 5 (02:05):
Yeah, I will say. I mean, I will say, like,
the one thing that I'm not confident about this week
is there are just a ton of injuries. I Mean,
this happens every year, but there's just a lot of
cluster injuries across the board, which which opens up uncertainty
and chances to potentially capitalize if you're able to price them.
(02:26):
But it's not easy. But you know, you look at
things like the Chargers offensive line, the Ravens defense, the
Lion's secondary. There are just countless examples across the board
of major injuries. And it's not just one guy, it's
multiple guys, and that's definitely makes it a bit tougher.
(02:51):
But it's a labor of love. So trying to crack
the code, which you'll never master, is why I love this.
So yeah, not too high or too low, just trying
to grind through the week.
Speaker 1 (03:04):
We've definitely picked the most difficult sport to bet, but
here we are taking it head on.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
We've got a lot of meat.
Speaker 3 (03:11):
One's pretty tough.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
I've never bet F one, so.
Speaker 5 (03:14):
I place one once.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
What makes F one so hard?
Speaker 1 (03:20):
I thought the same, I thought Max verst Stappen wins
every weekk have you not.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Been watching in like sixteen months?
Speaker 4 (03:27):
I would say the hardest thing about F one is
that it's not about you. Like if you get a
bad start off the jump and somebody hits you like
a lot of it's not in your control. It's in
other people's control of Like sometimes who hits you? How
many people get in an accident your pit crew being
able to get like a bolt off of a car
can cost you like two or three seconds. Like F
one is the hardest bet that I make every single week,
(03:50):
but it's there.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
NFL definitely close.
Speaker 4 (03:53):
But F one not even a question, just because there's
so many people that are hands on with the sport
that it's not just my best guys against your best guys.
It's like, is my mechanic? Is my machinery working? When
you put machinery in something, it gets a lot trick here.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
That's true. The cars do add a variable. Uh stat
That's what.
Speaker 5 (04:12):
I've never gotten into. Like I tried to watch one.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
That's the best watch Drive to Survive.
Speaker 5 (04:17):
Yeah. I feel like the best part about F one
is everything surrounding the sport, Like you have you know,
like all the celebrities go to all the the back
and forth on like trying to get drivers, building out
of the cars, the drama, the celebrity of the drivers,
the you know, the the manufacturers, Like what goes into
(04:40):
giving getting an advantage on that end, Like I found
the ship, the shows and the content around it more
interesting than actually watching a race, but I will say
I don't fully. I don't spend time trying to understand it.
So I'm sure if you, yeah, understood all that stuff,
it would make it more interesting. But it's just I don't.
Speaker 4 (04:55):
Yeah. I like it because there's only twenty people, so
you only have to keep up with twenty p people.
That's you know less than like us, the starters for
an NFL team, and you get to know them so
deeply that you learn to care about them a lot.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
I don't. I think this is above my pay grade.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
But Kendra, I would love to see some sort of
social video where you asked our audience what is the
toughest sport to bet on? Because I feel like most
would say the NFL. But I guess there's dissenting opinions
out there.
Speaker 3 (05:22):
We found my video for today. Okay, great ook at Gifford.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
Before we move on from this completely stat hoound Evan Abrams,
where do you land on betting F one?
Speaker 6 (05:31):
Nobody passes anyone.
Speaker 7 (05:32):
I'd like to talk to somebody who bets on NASCAR,
like Nick Giffin.
Speaker 6 (05:35):
I feel like it's much harder. I've done both.
Speaker 7 (05:38):
I feel like f one's easier because the odds are
more predictable and things change with practices.
Speaker 6 (05:43):
All say with that.
Speaker 5 (05:44):
Yeah, I mean I'll say I think the hardest. I
think a lot of people might say NFL is probably
the most difficult as far as from an efficiency standpoint.
Just the amount of money that gets bet into the
NFL is massive.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
Is your tenfoil hat on right now?
Speaker 5 (06:00):
So but no, I'm saying, but like people are a
lot of people. Most people are betting NFL casually, and
it's like once a couple of days, times a week.
People that try to do that casually and try to
bet like baseball, the grind of baseball, that might be
the most difficult, like dealing with the swings and the
bad beats and trying to do that every day. You know,
you can say a thing about NHL and but yeah,
(06:20):
that it depends on how you frame.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
It, Stucky, This is where I passed things off to
you on a Thursday episode.
Speaker 2 (06:26):
What do you want to hit us with today?
Speaker 3 (06:29):
Hey, this is a dumb question.
Speaker 6 (06:32):
Let me ask you a personal question kind of question.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
Is that is question?
Speaker 7 (06:37):
All right?
Speaker 5 (06:38):
My questions for today? You have to answer right away
because like it'll it gets to the essence of the question.
Kendra'll start with you and Brandon. I'm gonna trust that
you are going to give me your answer. You thought
of right away. You unfortunately went into a coma for
ten years and you woke up and everything was okay.
(06:59):
You had your memory, all of your thoughts, your health.
What is the first sports related thing that you google?
Speaker 3 (07:06):
Did the Jaguars win a Super Bowl?
Speaker 1 (07:07):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (07:08):
You already you know the answer to that is no,
So that would be I thought about. For me, Yeah,
I thought about like the Ravens of the Super Bowl?
But I think that I would go the most interesting
thing that I would be most interested in two things,
like college wise, One is like what does the NCAA
tournament look like? Now? But I think I would look
(07:29):
at I would just google the current college football season
or depending on like the timing, to see like what
do the conferences look like? What does the what does
the college football Playoff look like? Who are the best teams?
Speaker 6 (07:42):
Like?
Speaker 5 (07:43):
Who knows where college football is going to be in
ten years? So like that's probably what I would look up. Brandon,
what was the first thing that you thought of? Did
the Dolphins? The Dolphins finally want a playoff game.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
Maybe I don't know, you know if, And that's one
of those things that if I had time to come
up with the best possible answer, I would probably get there.
But you said you wanted. The first thing that's snapped
into my brain, and it was checking my fantasy lineup
just to see if if my if my lineup is
still relevant, or if i've auto drafted, you know, when
(08:13):
we've missed ten years at this point, I'd want to
see how I stacked up before, especially in my keeper league,
to see how long my team was still successful before
eventually these guys aged out.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
So I think that fantasy app would be the first
thing I would check later.
Speaker 5 (08:30):
That's that's a terrible answer.
Speaker 3 (08:32):
Yeah, that's well.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
I mean, I assume that the team wouldn't still be good,
but I would hope, let.
Speaker 5 (08:38):
Me see what my fantasy team looks like now from
ten to guys from ten years ago those but.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
I would be auto drafting, you know, I would hope
that my league made you.
Speaker 5 (08:49):
Want is what the auto drafted?
Speaker 2 (08:52):
Yeah, I want to know.
Speaker 5 (08:53):
The doctors want to know, Evan, what what did what?
Would did you have any thoughts?
Speaker 7 (09:00):
My only comment is I've been in a fantasy league
for fourteen years and ten years ago, I kept a
guy named Jordan Cameron, so I'm assuming my fantasy team
would be pretty terrible. My answer was simple. I actually
the first thing that popped into my head was is
Lebron still playing? So I guess that's what's in my brand.
So that was the first thing I thought of.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
Let's talk seafood.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
There are shrimply unbelievable stat of the week courtesy of
Action Network Director of Research Evan Abrams.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
With some help from the Rainbow Shrimp.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
The Jaguars off of a short week after facing the
Chiefs on Monday Night Football. The last decade, teams that
were home underdogs on Monday Night Football have struggled the
following week putting together a good effort. They are twenty
six and forty two straight up, thirty and thirty eight
against the spread in those games. That's forty four percent
winning as an underdog on Monday Night Football and then
(09:50):
that quick turnaround. But we have some competing stats here.
The Jaguars are also nine and four against the spread.
With Trevor Lawrence in a game where he wins, this
is an outright underdog the game prior so we have
some conflicting stats here.
Speaker 2 (10:06):
This is one that we were really.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
Stuck on on the Tuesday episode. I have not placed
a bet on this game. For me, it would be Seahawks,
but I also think I might not be buying into
the Jaguars quite enough, so I think I'm gonna sit
this one out.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
I got a lot of bets that I do like
this week, Stucky.
Speaker 1 (10:23):
Where are you at on Jags Seahawks and the numbers
that we just spat out?
Speaker 5 (10:29):
Yeah, I bet the Seahawks. This is a Jags podcast.
I'm all in on the Jags this year. I bet
that nothing but the Jags so far. But I think
this is a good spot for the Seahawks, who have
been really good on the road under Mike McDonald. You
have short week for Jacksonville with some key injuries, like
the offensive line is an healthy Bremans Strange, I think
is a big loss, especially in the red zone.
Speaker 3 (10:46):
Huge security blanket probably.
Speaker 5 (10:48):
Sits another week if he didn't play this week or
last week. I should say they weren't able to get
any pressure because it's so much easier to just focus
your attention on Josh Hanz Allen and and you saw
that against Mahomes he had all day. And it's not
a great Kansas City offensive line at the tackle positions.
And what does Jacksonville do in the back end. They
(11:09):
play zone, so like not being able to get pressure
playing zone. Sam Donald is playing at an unbelievable level.
I mean, he's number one in the league in success
ray A VPA for play EPA plus completion percentage of expectation.
Lawrence has been around the middle of the pack like that.
Jacksonville offense is starting to get there, it's not at
the level that Seattle has been. Donald's playing incredible, and
he's been number one in the NFL against zone defense,
(11:31):
which is what Jacksonville is going to play a lot
of this The one thing that gives me a little
bit of pause is Seattle's defense. Another one of these
injury situations on the back end. We'll see if DeMarcus
Lawrence can go. But they were without three starters in
the secondary last week against the Bucks. I think that
they will probably get two of at least two of
(11:52):
the four guys back, which will be enough for me.
So I did play Seattle. I think it's a pretty
good matchup in spot but I do respect the Jags,
but there's there's also some potential turnover regression coming for Jacksonville.
They can't They're eventually got to have a game where
they're not going to get a pick six or three
or four turnovers. So as Kenzer had that feeling as
(12:13):
a Jags fan, they're gonna if they beat the Chiefs.
Speaker 4 (12:17):
And I'm going to this game, so of course that's
just gonna happen.
Speaker 5 (12:21):
Well, you got that, you have the dear Joy in
San Francisco, but I don't think I think it'll be close.
But I like the matchup for Seattle on this spot,
So yeah, I did play the Seahawks.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
The turnover differential of these two teams plus nine in
favor of the Jacksonville Jaguars. You mentioned the regression, I
mean that is that is strong. And the luck rankings
also from Nick Giffen, which we will reference throughout the
course of the podcast today favor the Seahawks. The Seahawks
are ranked twenty fourth, the Jags are up to fifth.
No surprise, leballer on the road, and the yeah, I mean,
(12:55):
I mean you could just I test the Jags in
terms of a luck ranking. Their quarterback literally fell down
and then baby Diraft into the end zone. There at
the end of the game, still become our two Kings

Speaker 2 (13:43):
The crown is yours.
Speaker 1 (13:45):
A segment that I always relish. Kendra, what game has
you in a pickle?
Speaker 3 (13:53):
We're in a pickle?
Speaker 1 (13:53):
Now, I'm really in a pickle?
Speaker 7 (13:55):
Now?
Speaker 5 (13:56):
All right, look we're in a pickle again.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
It's the Chiefs Lions game.
Speaker 4 (14:02):
For obvious reasons, the Lions are so injured, a lot
of people questionable on the defense for them. Offense too,
more so concerned about the defense for me. But the Chiefs,
they just lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Their entire fan
base is having a freaking melt down. It's a short
week for them, but they're relatively healthy in comparison. You
could talk about some of their you know, ir issues
(14:23):
or whatever. But they have to turn this around at
some point, right like the Chiefs have the chief we
have to expect Patrick Mahomes and them getting healthier, of
them getting players back from you know, suspension coming soon, whatever.
They have to turn this around. I just this doesn't
feel like a great spot for the Lions. It feels
like a good spot for the Chiefs. But how how
(14:43):
with the Lions how they've been playing. Am I supposed
to put any stock in that? They're obviously injured this
game for playoff reasons for both sides NFCAFC. Sure they're different,
not the biggest game in the world, not divisional, nothing
like that. But I feel like it's a spot for
can the Lions keep this rolling or can the chief
maybe turn their season around. I just don't know which
side to be on here, because the Lions have been
(15:05):
absolute world beaters, But the Chiefs still are the Chiefs.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
You know, when the Jags went.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
Up the other night, I was like, there's still time
on the clock. It doesn't matter if Patrick Mahomes has
two minutes or two seconds. It's always scary when he's
playing this game. I do not know where to be.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
I think a lot of people are gonna look at
it in that same sort of way, because this line,
for a lot of people is gonna look mysterious. The
Lions plus two and a half against anybody looks like
a gift from the gods.
Speaker 2 (15:34):
But I think I saw it in the docks.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
I'm sort of cheating ahead, but Stucky, I think you
and I are going to be on the same of
the same mindset here that this is the honey trap
of all honey traps. That you get the Lions of
plus two and a half, all the cluster injuries they're
dealing with in the secondary, and the Chiefs offense has
been pretty good twenty nine points per game over the
last three And we'll talk about some public darlings in
(15:58):
a moment. The Lions are one of them. The bets
on the Detroit Lions. That is a heavy, heavy public
side stuck you where you out on this.
Speaker 5 (16:07):
Yeah, I played the Chiefs. I like the Chiefs here.
I'm a believer in that offense. Now, after what I
saw last week with worthy back Thornton, I think is
the real deal. They had a sixty four percent success rate,
which is that's the highest of any game this year
by any team against Jacksonville last week, and Detroit has
they had no corners left, their safeties are banged up,
(16:27):
and you have to keep in mind at this Detroit team. Yes,
they've looked good over the past four weeks, but for
somemadded context. Remember they got blown out at Green Bay
to start the year and everyone wrote them off. Now
everyone is penciling in the Super Bowl. They beat the
Bears at home without their entire secondary. They beat the
Ravens and their current state of their defense, which is
(16:51):
a disaster and probably the worst defense in the league.
Then they beat the Browns with Joe Flacco, who was
so bad that he got traded to the Bank. Oh
and guess what, They beat the Bengals with Jake Browning
and who was so bad that the Bengals traded for
Joe Flacco, who was so bad in Cleveland that he
got benched for Dylan Gabriel. That's who they played the
last four weeks. They're in the tank. Ravens, the Bears
(17:16):
were two of the most injured defenses in the league.
Then the Browns and Bengals, who have swapped backup quarterbacks
in the two weeks since. So like, let's let's pause
for a moment here, and you just throw all those
injuries in, like the offense might not even be fully
healthy as well. And because of all the cluster injuries
on the back end for Detroit, what are they going
(17:39):
to do?
Speaker 6 (17:40):
They?
Speaker 5 (17:40):
I mean, they blitz a lot. You don't want to
blitz Mahomes. They usually play man. Mahomes has struggled against
more man this year. But they can't play man with
their corners that they have against all that chief speed
with all their backup corners. So what they do last
week they played more zone. I expect them to do
that this week playing zone against Mahomes with backup corner.
(18:00):
I don't know what Detroit can really do here. So yeah,
the troutll has success running the ball, but this is
a great get right, you know, save your season spot
for Kansas City against what I think is an overvalue
to Troy team that's benefited so much from who their
opponents were, who the quarterbacks, they face, the injuries that
(18:20):
they've benefited from. Now they're the team that's dealing with
all the injuries and they're going up against one of
the better quarterbacks in the NFL. So yeah, I like
Kansas City here anything under a field goal?
Speaker 2 (18:31):
Do anything for you, Kendra? Do we sway you?
Speaker 7 (18:33):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (18:33):
That kind of a little bit, honestly, Yeah, a little bit,
because I do agree. It feels like this has to
be like the Chiefs save our season moment. Like I said,
I know that it's an NFC opponent and not a
divisional or AFC or anything like that, but even just
from like a raw rob we're back situation.
Speaker 3 (18:50):
Are they on the buy next week?
Speaker 2 (18:52):
They play the Raiders next week?
Speaker 4 (18:53):
Because the Lions have a look ahead, and you can
call it a look at you can't look ahead past
the Chiefs. But going from the Chiefs to the box
their Monday night next week, that's still like a little
bit of a distraction factor to me. But I didn't
know who the Chiefs played, so and they'll they'll have
the Chiefs. The Chiefs will be completely back next week.
So it is it's a get right, get right spot
(19:15):
of all get right spots for them.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
Listen, if we're gonna look a week ahead, the Raiders
consistently cover the spread against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
If the Chiefs beat the.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
Lions, then all of a sudden, everybody loves the Chiefs again.
Then they play the Raiders, and the Raiders have been terrible,
So let's keep an eye on that.
Speaker 5 (19:31):
For they have a pulse this week.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
Against the Titans.
Speaker 5 (19:35):
Yeah, against the Titans, and I mean cold Miller's loss
is huge for them at left tackle. We'll see in
the status of Rock Bowers.
Speaker 3 (19:43):
I don't think he should play, Yeah, but.
Speaker 5 (19:45):
If he's definitely not at one hundred percent, but we'll
see if they If he plays this week, he would
have a massive, massive matchup advantages for Tennessee. But yeah,
he doesn't look like the old Rock Bowers. But if
he does play, we'll see what he looks like because
obviously the Raiders would need him against Kansas City. But yeah,
the Raiders have been a mass think about this is
(20:07):
how quick things can change in the NFL, and like,
just stay the course, don't overreact. For the most part,
week one, We're all this uncertainty about the Patriots and
everyone was like, Ooh, the Raiders are going to be sneaky.
The Raiders go into New England across the country beat
them pretty soundly. Everyone says, ah, Patriots, they stink the Raiders.
(20:32):
Is this a playoff team? Fast forward a month later,
the Patriots win in Buffalo, are now significant favorites to
make the playoffs, and the Raiders are getting bet against,
Like people know the final score at home against the
Titans and they look like the most dysfunctional team in
(20:53):
the NFL. Crazy how those teams have kind of reversed
roles since Week one when the Raiders won in Foxborough.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
This will surprise nobody that of the Sunday games, Action
Network is tracking that the Titans Raiders is the least
bet on Sunday game in the NFL. I don't think
anybody wants to touch that. Also, according to Action Network
betting data, teams with sixty percent of the tickets continue
to fail the public out there this season thirteen and
(21:24):
thirty against the spread through five weeks. Teams with seventy
percent of the tickets the Lions qualify for that. By
the way, are three to thirteen ats, including zero and
seven against the spread. If that team with more than
seventy percent of the tickets is playing at home, buyer
beware on the following teams. Eagles tonight against the Giants,
(21:46):
Cowboys sixty three percent of the bets.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
The Seahawks, which I was.
Speaker 1 (21:50):
Surprised to see because the Jags just beat the Chiefs
on Monday Night Football, They're sitting at seventy three percent,
the Steelers at sixty four percent. We already talked about
the Lions, the Bills at sixty nine against the Atlanta Falcons,
and the Patriots, who everybody loves again at sixty one percent.
Also shout out to the Luck Rankings presented by Nick
(22:10):
Giffen week to week.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
You guys have to check this out.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
Giants Eagles is the biggest luck rankings game that's out there.
The Eagles rank second in the Luck Rankings. The Giants
are at thirtieth. That's a twenty eight spot difference. So
we don't want to spend too much time on this
because I think most that are consuming this podcast are
probably listening to it around the time that this game
is either starting or is already wrapped up. But does
anybody have anything on the Thursday Night football game?
Speaker 5 (22:35):
Thursday Night Football.
Speaker 4 (22:37):
I don't know where to be with this game. I
feel like the number has just gotten too big. Giants
got embarrassed last week.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
Eagles.
Speaker 4 (22:43):
I've said this before. It feels like the Eagles are
the Chiefs of last year. Just everything seems to fall
in their favor. I just too much divisional game. Those
are different to me. Probably would be on the Giants
to cover the seven and a half. There's still some
of those out there, just because it's divisional. But I
can't get there the Giants. It helps that their defensive
(23:04):
line is good against the run, and that's what you're
gonna expect the Eagles to do.
Speaker 3 (23:09):
But I just can't get there.
Speaker 5 (23:11):
Yeah, I played. I played the Giants tonight. It's very small.
I hate there's a night football. There's a lot of
injury uncertainty of a rookie quarterback on a short week
against the Bangio defense. But you mentioned the similarities to
the Chiefs. I mean as a whole, the Giants run
defense is bad, but the Eagles haven't been able to
run the ball this year, like Saquan is a non
factor because the offensive line is way worse, and now
(23:32):
there's no Landon Dickerson. I think that the Giants defensive
line can get after hurts. But you mentioned the similarities
to the Chiefs. Yeah, I mean they feel like the
new Chiefs, which means that they're incapable of building margin
against teams. And like the Chiefs for years, you just
always bet against them when they were a favorite of
definitely have seven plus, but it felt like whenever they
(23:54):
were a favored of over a field goal. And this
is going to be a low scoring game. These are
two slow paced teams. I mean that the Eagles are
snapping the ball with less than five seconds on the
play clock over seventy five percent of the time, like
the highest rate we've seen by a wide margin over
the last five years. Like, how are the Giants gonna
move the ball? They don't have any receivers left, but
(24:17):
they probably weren't gona be able to throw it against
the Eagles secondary. Anyway, you can run them the Eagles
a bit this year. You're gonna they're gonna throw their
tight ends, use the QB run game. It's not gonna
be pretty for the Giants offense. But divisional home dog
catching over a touchdown. I make this under a touchdown,
So yeah, I took the seven and a half. I
agree with them the move on the under with that
(24:38):
coming down so which I think it's gonna be low scoring,
which makes the seven and a half even more valuable.
And like this Eagles team, they have one half every
every week, they have one half where they just can't
do anything. So until I see more from this offense,
I did not trust this team to lay seven and
a half on the road divisional game, So yeah, I took.
I took the seven and a half with the Giants
would lean under. And when when the Eagles get a
(25:00):
lead against like an overmatch up point, they just sit
on the ball for like the entire thing they could have.
They could be up like they could be up ten.
In the fourth quarter, the Giants kick a field goal
to go down seven, and then the Eagles have like
a nine minute drive and end it with like knees
like that. They're just not a they don't profile is
a great favorite, similar to like what some of those
(25:21):
Chiefs teams used to do. So I high play the Giants.
Speaker 4 (25:23):
Small random question, I know, just because this is what's
on my mind right now.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
We talked about this last week. Who do you guys.
Speaker 4 (25:31):
Think is the best team in the NFL right now?
Just because they're everyone is all over the place. The
Lions haven't looked good at times, the Eagles haven't looked
good at times.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
The Bills just lost to the Patriots. Those were the Ravens. Suck.
Speaker 4 (25:43):
Those were supposed to be the Juggernauts heading into this season.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
If the Super Bowl was tomorrow.
Speaker 4 (25:47):
I'm sitting here like, I don't really even know who
the best team in this league is right now. There
isn't one, which makes it entertaining, but what's going on.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
I think Detroit, fully healthy, is the best team in
the NFL right now.
Speaker 5 (26:00):
I would agree I think green Bay is better than Detroit.
So we can argue about that. When green Bay is
fully healthy and Detroit's healthy, I'd take green Bay over them.
I would take yeah. I mean, I mean, I can
look at my numbers, just.
Speaker 4 (26:14):
A random We don't need to spend a ton of
time on it. Just the fact that there's so many injuries.
Speaker 5 (26:18):
Yeah, the Ravens to me are the best team in
the NFL at full strike, which they're not the best
team in the NFL. Whoever, plays the Ravens. I mean, if
you look the best two weeks, the Texas looked like
the best team, The Lions look like the best team,
The Chiefs look like the best team soever plays. The
Ravens looks like the best team in the NFL. To me,
(26:41):
the Bills. So I had Ravens won two Ravens Bills
Packers coming into the year, But the Bills have not
looked great and their defenses issues and injuries. So it's
a great question. It is a like we're not talking.
There's no huge separation. There's no team that is a
(27:01):
step above. I mean, if you look at the market
right now, they probably have just looking at where teams
are rank based on where their teams are power rated
based on lines, like they probably have Green Bay, Philly, Chiefs, Lions,
Bills around a plus five, like I mean, five points
(27:23):
better than average team. And they're all within like a
point of each other. So and then there's a big
drop off because the Ravens are a shell of themselves
and hurt, but there's a drop off to them, Like
your second tier is probably.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
Doctor Seattle, Tampa Bay.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
San Francisco.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
I think they have to be thrown into the mix
as beat up as they are and what they've still
been able to do. If we're giving teams credit for
fully healthy San Francisco even though they're not getting Bosa bad, Yeah.
Speaker 5 (27:54):
If San Francisco fully healthy, isn't that second tier.
Speaker 4 (27:57):
I think when you throw the Chargers there too, when
they're fully healthy, ardis in fully healthy.
Speaker 5 (28:00):
Broncos are up there near the.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
Chargers, nobody's health.
Speaker 4 (28:03):
I don't want to talk about health versus not health,
because that's not an that's.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
Not you're saying. So you're saying, right everything considered.
Speaker 5 (28:11):
Rams are They're close to that first here too. Right now,
at this moment, I'm taking the Packers.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
Yeah, they haven't looked right the last two weeks, but.
Speaker 5 (28:21):
I mean they haven't play.
Speaker 4 (28:22):
I'm still going to go Lions, despite the fact that
Dan Campbell's kind of a dummy sometimes.
Speaker 5 (28:27):
Like I think, Packers now are basically fully healthy, I believe,
and I love them. They're my only Super Bowl future,
so I love them. Coming into the year, I'll go
Green Bay.
Speaker 2 (28:39):
It's a it's a loaded question. It is a good one.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
It's time for the reason y'all came here today are
newly named to King.
Speaker 5 (28:46):
And who who would you say, Yeah, it's still the Packers.
Speaker 7 (28:49):
I wish the Rams had a better secondary, and I
wish the Bucks were healthier. I would make a case
for both of them, but I still think Green May
is the best.
Speaker 5 (28:55):
I mean, the Tampa's the best if they're down with
one minute to go, But I don't trust that offense.
Speaker 7 (29:04):
Yeah, that offense all healthy, though, would scare the living
crap out of me from many teams. So I think
it's just hard to and I love Van like I
love things about Tampa Bay.
Speaker 6 (29:13):
If they're all healthy.
Speaker 7 (29:13):
I'm just saying, though, the Rams would be one for
me if they literally added like one or two players
in the secondary.
Speaker 6 (29:18):
I just feel like they can get beat all the time.
Speaker 5 (29:20):
But yeah, I thought they were gonna get Ramsey in
the off season, which I think would have done a
lot elevated their secondary. And I shouldn't say that the
Packers were fully outy. I assume we'll see Their offensive
line has some still questions, but they're coming off the buy. Yeah,
but I think Green Bay is probably the most well
rounded right now. And Mike adding Michael Parsons, who's now
probably gonna be like a full snapshare did a lot
(29:44):
to elevate that defense to make them there. But all right,
where are we going.
Speaker 2 (29:47):
Next, Kendrew? This is your fault that this happened. This Uh,
no time to nominate our two plays?
Speaker 5 (29:55):
Hold on, Kendrick, I'm sorry. I'm gonna let you go eventually, Brandon,
I'm really happy for you. I'm gonna let you finish.
But Beyonce had one of your best videos of all time.
That could be part of your your video today because
it's an interesting already.
Speaker 3 (30:06):
Forgot what my original video was?
Speaker 2 (30:08):
That was gonna be the toughest sport to bet on
who's the best in the NFL.
Speaker 5 (30:12):
You can always ask that later, like I feel like
right now what you do?
Speaker 6 (30:17):
Both?
Speaker 5 (30:17):
But that is a fascinate question. You'll get a ton
of different answers. I think.
Speaker 3 (30:20):
Okay, those will be my two videos for the week.
Speaker 2 (30:23):
Yep, can I go now?
Speaker 3 (30:24):
Yes? Sorry, I'm so sorry.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
Two Kings and a Queen.
Speaker 3 (30:29):
Sorry?
Speaker 4 (30:30):
Sorry, sorry said kidding.
Speaker 3 (30:32):
I'm kidding. I'm kidding.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
Kendrew. We'll start with you. Who do you want to nominate?
Speaker 4 (30:43):
Okay, so you guys are gonna hate me. I know
that we are on two different sides, me and you
the Pats or once again, I am addicted to betting
on the Chargers.
Speaker 3 (30:56):
The Saints are so injured. I don't know how. I
don't want to blow up your spot. I know that
you that's something that you want to talk about in
a second. But they're so injured.
Speaker 4 (31:03):
Patriots are rolling a little bit, and then the Chargers.
The Dolphins are just so bad. They've given up on
this season. The Chargers need some wins. I get that
their offensive line. I even like the under in this game,
whatever it is, I don't care if it moves. The
under on this game has got to look pretty for
everybody huge lean from me.
Speaker 3 (31:17):
You might get to the window on it.
Speaker 4 (31:18):
But I just believe in the Chargers, the coaching, the quarterback,
everything so much more that this number. Even though it's
over a field goal at this point, I got it
at a better price earlier this week.
Speaker 3 (31:28):
I don't really care. The Chargers have to beat bad teams,
and they have to beat up on bad teams. This
Charger then, did not like either of these options. I
saw him just kind of like the.
Speaker 2 (31:41):
Chargers offensive line is a problem.
Speaker 1 (31:43):
And I know that Stucky has been had this on
his mind throughout the course of the week. The Dolphins
defensive line is not exactly the one that can take
advantage of that. Herbert has been really good out East
thirteen and six against the spreading games on the East coast.
Speaker 4 (31:56):
But guys, believe me, every single week and here I
am still like flipping the bird to you.
Speaker 5 (32:01):
Guys, I will say, I don't like the past minus
three and a half. That's like we're you're buying high
on the Pats after their big win going down the
ones who hasn't been bad.
Speaker 6 (32:11):
I haven't bet.
Speaker 3 (32:12):
They're just so hurt, dude, They're so hurt.
Speaker 5 (32:16):
Their offense those the necessary weapons. You also got Taysom Hill.
Speaker 3 (32:19):
Back for Tis Hill.
Speaker 5 (32:22):
Mrado is playing well. He's playing like at an average level.
So I played the Saint So I can't authorize the
Pats if I have to charge the charges of three
and a half. There's here's some money line them again.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
They lost play seventeen when we did that, like.
Speaker 3 (32:36):
The price, Yeah, but I'm not.
Speaker 5 (32:38):
I already bet the Pats. Yeah, we can money line
them because it's the Chargers. You can charges money. Yeah,
we can put that in as a moneyline piece because.
Speaker 3 (32:50):
Oh, you guys, that's so much low.
Speaker 5 (32:52):
Yeah, but we're parlaying three and this is going to
be a lower scoring game. I agree with that, so
points are going to be at a premium. I don't
know if they can win by margin with their offensive
line injuryes. Maybe they get all back, maybe back to
like there's some question on the offense line. It could
just create their offense. But Miami, you.
Speaker 3 (33:08):
Guys want to switch to the under.
Speaker 1 (33:09):
I just want to say that if this doesn't hit Kendro,
the Chargers are in bet jail for you.
Speaker 5 (33:14):
Okay, yeah, no, let's say we got to make you
have the Chargers to win, because I mean, first of all,
I will say, here are the things I like about it.
The Chargers are going to play a ton of zone
coverage on the back end Miami. With Miami's offense, I mean, Sabine,
their left guard, is the worst start in the league.
It's like a zero pass block rate. He's basically like
a traffic cone. But they're gonna play a ton of
zone coverage Miami's off I don't know what Miami's offense
(33:35):
can do, but two against Man has been the best
quarterback in the league EPA for play against zone, he's
been bottom three. That's always how you stop the Dolphins
offense under Mike McDonald, and that's all the Chargers are
gonna do. Play a ton of zone in the back
end and then on the other side. Yes, the Dolphins
can't get pressure at all. Their bottom five and pressure right.
They're top five in blitzerrate, which is crazy. They're blitzing
(33:56):
constantly because they don't trust their secondary. They can't get
pressure on the tone and they're still not getting home.
Maybe the Chargers offensive line is that bad, but you
generally don't want to blitz Herbert, who's really good against
the blitz, one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
So there's a lot of things I like. Who knows
Remiami is a mentally I think Harball will have the
Chargers much. I think they'll they'll be much more focused
(34:18):
this week. They were so sloppy last week. So I'm
gonna go Chargers money line because.
Speaker 4 (34:23):
I know that we throw a lot of McConkey in
there too, or am I no kidding?
Speaker 3 (34:31):
I'm kidding a lot. McConkie is still in bet Yell
for me, I'm still not at him in my.
Speaker 5 (34:35):
Seniority car were he's in Chargers money line because well,
I know Brandon can't. He's not going to choose the
Patriots because he has the Saints in his But I
will well for the voice of God. Would you go?
Would you go? Chargers or Pats?
Speaker 7 (34:52):
Heavan, I would not touch pat Saints with a ten
football Spencer Raler coming off his first career win Patriots
off of the most emotional or emotionals like, I could
not care about that game one way or the other.
Chargers money line sounds beautiful.
Speaker 5 (35:08):
Okay, yeah, I mean I took the three and a half.
I think it should be three.
Speaker 7 (35:11):
Sure, so it's Saints are nothing in that game, and
I couldn't even consider the Saints, I think, So.
Speaker 5 (35:17):
I'm gonna go. My two are the Chiefs.
Speaker 2 (35:20):
Yes, so the Chiefs and my vote.
Speaker 5 (35:24):
We will go with the forty nine Ers. Can't do
money nine. You gotta take plus three because Baker will
win in the last minute by one or two or three.
The Bucks, by the way of four Wednesday, I have
yet to win by more than a field goal. I
just think there's not much difference between those two teams.
The forty nine Ers I think should get some weapons
back this week. The Bucks are just as hurt as
(35:45):
the forty nine ers.
Speaker 3 (35:46):
Is it brought party?
Speaker 5 (35:48):
I think it's gonna be Mac Jones, but I don't
really carry the way.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
Who do we want it to be? By the way
I've been thinking about it?
Speaker 3 (35:54):
Better with Mac Jones.
Speaker 4 (35:55):
I don't care what people say about brock Perty's contract.
The Jacksonville Jaguars got rid of that Nick Foles contract,
so they can get rid of it if they want to.
It's Mac Jones team at this point. Sure they're paying him,
Sure he probably is the better quarterback, but you're winning
with Mac Jones.
Speaker 3 (36:09):
It's got to be Mac forty nine.
Speaker 5 (36:12):
Ers extra time too. They played Thursday, so better chance
that they might get some guys back than Tampa Tampa
coming back across the country. They've been one of the luckiest.
I think they're number one in our luck rankings for
a reason.
Speaker 3 (36:24):
Mac Jones with the bananas, I can't Channing.
Speaker 5 (36:28):
Is scheming up some He's he's in. He is as
good as I've seen him from a scheme perspective, and
this Bucks defense is not good at all. So it's
either going to be San fran San Francisco plus three
minus one oh five. About Chiefs Kansas City Money Online
minus one thirty five.
Speaker 3 (36:49):
I about Chiefs.
Speaker 1 (36:50):
I like both of these. I like the Chiefs a
little bit more. I've actually played that one, so let's
add to the pot.
Speaker 6 (36:56):
Heaven.
Speaker 5 (36:56):
Do you have any opinion on either?
Speaker 6 (36:58):
Those are really difficult.
Speaker 7 (36:59):
I hate the forty nine ers, so I would probably
go with the Chiefs in that situation.
Speaker 6 (37:04):
I just I have no interest in San Francisco.
Speaker 7 (37:06):
And the comment of Mac being better than I don't know,
I don't better is not the right word.
Speaker 3 (37:12):
I didn't say better.
Speaker 6 (37:13):
Yeah, better's not the right word. But party is so efficient.
Speaker 7 (37:17):
If it's Mac, which I think it's probably going to be,
I want nothing to do with that game.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
Yeah, but they're winning with him. That's the thing. You
gotta win, Maxy.
Speaker 6 (37:25):
They both those quarterbacks have moxie and I have.
Speaker 2 (37:28):
Perty hasn't been healthy when he's tried to play.
Speaker 6 (37:31):
Yeah, that's the problem to an.
Speaker 5 (37:33):
Max, isn't. He's getting rid of the ball quick and
just going to his first read.
Speaker 3 (37:36):
And it's the bananas.
Speaker 5 (37:38):
He's basically Kyle Shannon's like puppet so and he's doing
a good job of feeling it. Soon Kyle Shannon wanted
to as his quarterback and there's a good chance to
get Pearsall and Door Jennings back this week. And both
teams are just so beat up so and they're going
to play a lot of zone take away the explosives
for Tampa who can't keep getting away with this? So
all right, we got Chargers chiefs, my Brandon, what are
(37:58):
your too?
Speaker 1 (38:00):
I am opposed to Kendra on this on the Patriots pick,
I like this Saints plus three and a half and
I'm gonna lay the wood with the Packers minus fourteen.
I know we don't like these double digit favorites, but
you mentioned it, Stucky. The Packers might be the best
team in the NFL. The Bengals have the worst point
(38:21):
differential in the league. They can't run the ball three
point one yards per carry. That's dead last in the NFL.
So the Packers could just pin their ears back at home.
Tee off on Flacco. Who people are gonna say this week.
They're gonna say this, Flacco's already beaten the Packers. Flacco
didn't beat the Packers. Flacco had a fifty five passer.
Speaker 2 (38:40):
Rating in that game.
Speaker 1 (38:40):
The Browns won despite the fact that Flacco is their quarterback.
Speaker 3 (38:44):
You're crazy the Packers should.
Speaker 1 (38:46):
Get their O line healthy and back, and if that happens,
it's just this is going to be a slaughter.
Speaker 3 (38:51):
You're crazy.
Speaker 4 (38:53):
Flacco is a vets that he's getting vetterable, he's getting
better receivers.
Speaker 5 (38:58):
But that's the thing that these played with these guys,
that's the biggest problem.
Speaker 4 (39:04):
It gives them juice though, like this is the reason
for that team to get up.
Speaker 1 (39:08):
Now, I can get with you on that, like two
weeks down the road. But he just he had traded
after Sunday. He just got there.
Speaker 5 (39:17):
The problem is he has no offensive line against that
pass rush. So that's the Yeah, he's.
Speaker 3 (39:20):
Gonna get murdered.
Speaker 5 (39:21):
But I can't believe I can't lay fourteen. I mean
it's laying fourteen. The NFL is just I just can't.
It's so dumb because there's no I shouldn't say it's
so dumb, but a lot of times it's just a
fool's thereon like it you're because there's no it's not
like college football. There's no incentive for these NFL teams
to win by a lot. So you're up by seventeen,
you're up by twenty one, which is a complete blowout
(39:42):
in the NFL, and then you're not You're just gonna
make all right, let's not turn it over. You run, run, run,
you punt, and then you like you saw at the
Bengals last week, they have really talented receivers. They could
hit some easy scores at the end. It's easily getting
his back door. So I can't authorize that I did
play this Saints, So I'm gonna vote then plus three
(40:04):
and a half your in, kenjer.
Speaker 1 (40:06):
Let me just say this, there will be a live
line during Packers Bengals that is north of twenty points.
Maybe if you felt uncomfortable with it, come back in
on the Bengals.
Speaker 5 (40:17):
Maybe Saints plus. All right, So Saints, Evan, do you
have any any thoughts there?
Speaker 7 (40:23):
Give me the three and a half with the Saints
in the game. I told you I wouldn't bet on
five minutes ago.
Speaker 5 (40:27):
All right.
Speaker 3 (40:29):
The NFL just looks to me every fucking week.
Speaker 5 (40:33):
All Right, We're going it's Saints plus three and a half,
Chargers money line, Chiefs money line plus three seventy.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
I can't wait to whip it out. I'm so serious.
Speaker 5 (40:42):
Bat draftings, you can say that I can't. Uh So, Yeah,
plus three seven. Let's hit our second one in three weeks.
Speaker 2 (40:51):
Yeah, let's do it.
Speaker 1 (40:52):
Chargers, money Line, Chiefs, money Line, Saints plus three.
Speaker 2 (40:55):
And a half.
Speaker 3 (40:55):
That I have a heart attack.
Speaker 1 (40:57):
Special thanks Star producers Gifford Gold, David pay, Evan Abrams
on Stats and also on the Saints.
Speaker 5 (41:03):
Ironically enough, there is, by the way, you the one,
the one thing that's good about the if you want
if I kind of convince you in the forty nine
Ers we're still doing this, or you convince people on
the Bengals. The four o'clock slate is so super reliant
on the Bank on the forty nine Ers, Bucks, it's Raiders.
There's only three games Raiders, Titans, Packers, Bengals, and then
(41:27):
Bucks forty nine Ers. I'm worried about that four o'clock
slate like that. We need that gain to be good.
It's the NFL. One of the other games we will
end up being weirdly good. But anyway, thanks for tuning in.
Speaker 1 (41:36):
We'll see you next time here on the Favorites presented
by DraftKings, Let's Go cash these tickets.
