Speaker 1 (00:10):
Welcome to the Favorites presented by DraftKings. This is the
Week five recap. I'm stucky in joining me today is
Kendra Middleton. We'll go through all the games today and
kind of give our thoughts on what transpired and a
little peek ahead to next week. We will have episodes
as always on Tuesday and Thursday where we'll get into

(00:31):
next week's card. Kendra, how goes it? How'd your day go?

Speaker 2 (00:35):
I had a pretty okay day, broke a little above even.
Thank God, the Titans really saved my ass towards.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
The end there. I'm not even gonna lie. How was
your day?

Speaker 1 (00:46):
Broke? I literally almost broke dead. Even Baker got me again.
Don't get in a close game with Baker Mayfield. That
game was probably the game of the day. Seattle had
ended up having injuries on the back end. Tampa head
injuries in the back end. Neither offense could be stopped.
He was just back and forth. I think there was
six straight drives with a touchdown at one point in

(01:08):
the second haf the difference. Donald threw two picks, Baker
didn't make any mistakes. That was ultimately the difference Bake.
Donald throws a pick at the end that bounces off
the helmet gets intercepted. But he also did get luckier
on the ninety nine yard touchdown drive probably should have
been a pick six, bounced off the hands and then
Cup caught it somehow and they went down and scored.

(01:29):
That was a thrilling game, ended up on the wrong.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Do we think that that moved the Bucks back into
the luckiest statistically team in the NFL?

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Again?

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Yeah, I mean that the Eagles will probably drop Eagles
go down to the Broncos. Yeah, I mean the Bucks
they've been fortunate. I mean, you got to give bigger
credit in these big moments, but obviously they've won. What
all four wins have come in the final seconds and
come from behind nature so insane, insane. Jules finally get

(02:01):
got I look, they were up seventeen three in that game.
They didn't get a great whistle, there was some questionable calls.
But what happened in that game is what's happened all year,
and it finally bit them, is that their offense goes
dormant for extended periods of time. They score a touchdown
to open the second half to go up seventeen to three.

(02:21):
I believe on their next five drives, four or five
drives they had I don't know, a net of ten
yards and they couldn't do anything. And they didn't do anything.
The rest of that happen until the last minute. Just miracle,
try for a hail Mary drive. So the Broncos get
it done. They looked dead in the water. I thought
Peyton coached a really good second half and the Broncos

(02:44):
go in and hand them their first loss. What's that?

Speaker 2 (02:48):
I was going to say that that was an incredible
game plan from him. I really thought that the Eagles
were going to start to slip away kind of as
that first quarter went down, and good for the Broncos
defense kept him in it. I just the luck factor
has really run out for the Eagles. They've got to
come up with something different. Huge day from DeVonta Smith though,
like I was really sweating out with him in fantasy

(03:08):
this week, but it just a crazy day for the
Broncos defense.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Good for them, Yeah, I mean after that touchdown, maybe
after the Eagles went up seventeen to three, they went
twenty three yards punt negative, sixteen yards punt negative six
yards punt, two yards punt, So you're talking negative twenty
three yards. After that, on their next four drives they
had three total net yards. So yeah, the Broncos defense

(03:35):
kept them minute and Bonix and Company were able to capitalize.
But let's just talk. Let's talk about that Titans getting mentioned.
That is the most stunning collapse. I can't remember a
more epic collapse. It started with a drop going in
for a touchdown on an eighty yard touchdown. I first

(03:56):
of all, I thought he might have been in what
did you like, I know that he was, I don't
really know the rule like and look, I know that
he was like in the process of dropping it, but
it looked like he still had it as he was
crossing the goal line. I don't know me.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
It looked like that like finger flip onto the goal line,
like we've seen some of them where the guys just
kind of like drop it like a couple feet before
they get to the goal line. It was close, but honestly,
even let's say, if it's close, if you're that dumb
to do that, and this is your profession and you
are paid to millions and millions and millions of dollars

(04:28):
to do this, you can hold onto the effing ball.

Speaker 3 (04:30):
I'm sorry. I don't feel bad. Even if it's questionable.
They don't deserve the benefit of the doubt in that situation.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
Keeping we just saw it, you think you would learn
just from seeing other guys do it. I don't get
the fascination with needing to drop the ball before you
get into the end zone. So that happens. The game
was going to be a complete route if that. If
he scores a touchdown there, it gets taken off the board,

(04:58):
the Titans score, and and then the Titans score a
touchdown on an interception. They throw an interception, it gets
fumbled by the Arizona defensive back into the end zone
and the Titans recover it. Then the Cardinals get super
conservative and go three and out punt Ward makes a

(05:20):
great brow and then they kick a fuel goal to win.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Him and Calvin Ridley were really dealing it there at
the end, like he looked good.

Speaker 3 (05:29):
That was an awesome fourth quarter for him.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
I was gonna say too, I don't It's not very
often that we get a four o'clock slate that has
a better witching hour than a one o'clock slate, But
that's absolutely what happened this afternoon.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
I am. I'm the biggest Titans.

Speaker 2 (05:42):
Hater in the world. I do not like watching them succeed.
But even I was having fun in the end of
that game. And you know, Calvin Ridley didn't work out
for the Jags. I don't really care about how the
rest of his career goes, but I do like him
Ward in a way.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
I'm cheering for him.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
The fact that he week was so willing to be like, yeah,
we talk right now, and come out here and hang
in this game, not get too frustrated, make good and
huge impactful throws when they mattered towards the end of
that game. Good for cal Ridley for stepping up and
being the receiver that we've been waiting for him to
be since he came back from suspension. Fun game towards
the end. I hope that that gave cam Ward some confidence.

(06:19):
I hope he found a number one receiver. I just
I hate the Titans, and obviously they're been They've been
the Jags, you know, biggest threat the last fifteen years.
But this was a good time and the Cardinals shouldn't
have been favored like this over anybody. They deserved to
lose this game. It wasn't even so that the Titans
really went out there and won it until the last
drive of this game. It was just that the Cardinals

(06:40):
choked it away and they did not deserve this.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
I mean, yeah, there, but they're twenty one six in
the fourth quarter breakoff a I don't know. I don't
think it was an eight yard r one. I think
De Marcotta was like a sixty year. They would have been
twenty eighty six instead of Yeah, Titans go eighty the
other way immediately, And I agree Ward did play well
in the fourth quarter. Ridley finished with five for one
thirty I believe, so he had a really good day

(07:05):
at the office late Slate the other games. The other
game was Lions Bengals.

Speaker 2 (07:11):
Lions end up line in the witching hour for five minutes.

Speaker 1 (07:16):
Yeah, then I don't know what the Bengals guard is
doing at the end, just refusing to block. And then
and then BROWNI took a safety. Browning looked a little
better in the second half. That first half was one
of the worst quartermases I have seen in my entire life.
He wasn't seeing the field, none of his throws were

(07:37):
on target, he wasn't giving his receivers any opportunity to
catch the ball. They had huge mismatches on the outside,
didn't matter. He couldn't put the ball anywhere. And not
only that he made he threw multiple picks. I mean,
the Lion started in Bengals territory I think five times
in that game, and Browning looked really bad. The defense,

(07:57):
I thought, played as well as it could have given
the circumstances, and obviously they're not a very talented defense,
but they at least fought. It was just Browning in
that first half was so bad that they dug just
way too much of a hole to ever get out.

Speaker 2 (08:11):
Of, regardless of the fact that the Lions were playing
an absolutely just depleted Bengals team. Today, I think that
any time you see Jared Goff go nineteen of twenty
three to two hundred and fifty eight yards, three touchdowns,
no turnovers, and you see the double headed monster that
they have in the backfield perform the way that those
two did today, there's not a whole lot of people

(08:31):
in the NFL I think could really beat them, outside
of maybe the Bills right now.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
It's just when.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
They play to that caliber, it's like they didn't even lose.
The defense really let the Bengals back in there for
a second, got.

Speaker 3 (08:44):
Their safety, whatever.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
But when the offense plays like this, you wouldn't even
be able to tell that they lost just such an
absolutely incredible coordinator this year.

Speaker 3 (08:53):
It's insane.

Speaker 2 (08:53):
I don't think there's really the only team that is
on the same caliber as the Lions right now for me,
as the Bills and everybody else is just far under them.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
Well, that's certainly the case the Ravens. My Ravens get
destroyed forty four to ten. Yeah, I don't know if
this is the lowest point that I can remember for
the Ravens. There's been some some bad Kyle Bowler games
or the way back with your dad, the none that
you can remember, but this was bad. This is the

(09:26):
defense is looks like the worst unit in the NFL
right now. I mean, obviously they have so many injuries,
and you know what's Cooper Rush finishes fourteen to twenty
one to seventy nine, three interceptions. Stroud looked really good.
Everyone's going to look really good playing against this Ravens
defense right now until they get healthier. And now they're

(09:47):
sitting at one and four, you're going to have an
angry Rams team coming off extra rest coming into Baltimore.
I don't. Yeah, Lamar Jackson plays, but you don't win
that game. You're going to the other buy after that,
but you'd be sitting at one in five. Yeah, that's
hard to come back from. Uh. I think the winner

(10:09):
of the weekend was the Steelers. I mean they didn't
play a game. They see the Ravens lose again, the
Browns will get to that game, lose, and the Bengals
all go down and pick up a game on everyone
in the division.

Speaker 2 (10:23):
While see Yeah, the biggest issue for me for the Ravens,
I think that the injuries are obviously an excuse, especially
when it's that many injuries. It's not just the sheer
number of them, but to the players that have them.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
But the same for me is it feels.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Like, more importantly right now, they don't have an identity.
This team has lost the bread and butter of a
team that they've been for the you know, right side
of fifteen years now, Like they've been defense, ground and pound,
that type of thing, and I just there, they do
the little things well, and I think that that Ravens
team just doesn't exist right now. And that's what's killing
them more than the injuries.

Speaker 1 (11:02):
Yeah, I mean, well, the injuries on defense are just
they're they're just too much to overcome. I So we'll
see how healthy they get. I mean, one in five
is tough to climb out of it.

Speaker 3 (11:12):
I don't think they come a vision, There's no way.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Yeah, it's not the best division in the world, which
is working for them, but yeah, it's it's rough in
Baltimore right now. We'll see what the injury report looks
like this week, going up against the Rams, who went
down on Thursday night against the forty nine ers. Let's
start go all the way back to the this morning
Vikings beat the Browns. We all had to bett. I

(11:36):
think we all one guy four and a half. You
guys could have gotten three and a half.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
I was on the Vikings.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
I know what did you have? Did you have three
and a half or four and a half?

Speaker 3 (11:44):
Three and a half?

Speaker 1 (11:45):
Okay, well I had four and a half with the Browns,
so I don't so. I guess no one has to
eat beans and toast.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
This now, nobody has to eat beans and toast.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Look at us go Vikings go on a ten play
eighty r drive At the end to win it twenty
one to seventeen on the Addison touchdown with I think
there was twenty five seconds left to go. I thought
Dylan Gabriel looked okay. He finished nineteen.

Speaker 3 (12:10):
Yeah, he looked okay.

Speaker 2 (12:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (12:14):
The picture of him standing next to Carson Wentz is
a little sus though, because he looks smaller than Drew
Brees next to him.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
Yeah, he doesn't look like an NFL quarterback. But I
thought he acquitted himself. Well, he's nineteen to thirty three,
one ninety two touchdowns, no interceptions. Judkins looked good again.
He ran for over one hundred yards, but the Browns
couldn't Their defense couldn't get the stop. In the end,
Vikings improved a three and two. They now will host

(12:44):
the Eagles after a bye. They actually get a bye
after this lending game. The Browns do not talked about
this before. This is one of the most vicious schedule
stretches that I can ever remember. They're in Detroit, I
oversees play Minnesota, come back to the States, have to

(13:05):
play on the road again at Pittsburgh, a team that
had a bye this week. Just an absolute nightmare travel
and situational spot for the Browns next week. I mean,
I don't know who made their schedule, but they certainly
are not fans of Cleveland.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
God hates the Browns. You love to see it?

Speaker 1 (13:23):
Yeah, not It's Browns drop to one in four. But
maybe they have something with Gabriel We will see.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
Yeah, he looked better than I thought he would. I'll
give it to him.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
I thought I thought he fared pretty well. Sat speaking
of quarterbacks getting young quarterbacks, Spencer Rattleer gets his first
ever win. Thought he played pretty well again, nothing spectacular,
but no interceptions, and Jackson Darth threw a.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
Couple had a come to Jesus game with kool Aid. McKinstry.

Speaker 1 (13:53):
Yeah, mckinstrey had a really good game. But I thought
that Saints deserved to win that game and they didn't
make it.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
You called it?

Speaker 1 (14:03):
What's thatpp?

Speaker 3 (14:04):
You called it?

Speaker 1 (14:06):
I did one of the few I got right today.
Before we get to the remaining games, let me throw
it to Brandon, who is away this weekend, for a
quick attery.

Speaker 4 (14:16):

Speaker 1 (14:44):
Right, thanks Brandon. Yeah, I guess the other game that
we didn't get to in the late window was the
Commander's a sloppy game, but a pretty dominant win over
the Chargers. Look the Chargers offensive line injuries. They were
playing there like a third string guard at times. We
know the tackle are hurt, have just ruined the offense.
But I thought that was one of the sloppiest games

(15:06):
just the entire operation that I've ever seen from a
harpball team. It's just everything that was out of sync.
There were sloppy there were penalties and mistakes in the game.
It felt like it flipped when it was ten to
seven in the second quarter. Looks like the Chargers return
a punt for a touchdown, get called for another penalty

(15:28):
for roughing the punter. Washington then goes on to score
that drive, and from then on it was a pretty
dominant effort for the Commanders. Did you see anything there, I.

Speaker 2 (15:38):
First of all, can't believe that Justin Herbert embarrassed themselves
in front of Madison Beer. That is tragic for me
and all of the other girl fans of football.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
I was impressed with Jacorey Krossky marrit. It does make me.

Speaker 2 (15:53):
Upset that the commentators refused to call him Bill like
he has asked nine thousand times for them to do.

Speaker 3 (16:00):
I don't call me woke. I don't care. It makes
me sad for him. Deevo Samuel had a little bit
of a coming out game. He's been kind of quiet.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
It was great.

Speaker 2 (16:08):
Yeah, I thought that. I thought, yeah, it was a
good game for them. The Chargers just looked really sloppy.
I didn't think that the offensive line issues when they
initially started at the beginning of the year. We're going
to be as serious as they are, just because it
seemed like when they were shuffling people around. Yes, they
weren't obviously as injured at the time as they are
right now. Joe I thought was gonna maybe maybe make

(16:30):
a go of it today. I'm glad he didn't. They
have so much more through the thick of their schedule,
but they showed a little bit of promise in the
beginning of the year when they were shuffling things around
a little bit.

Speaker 3 (16:39):
But obviously they got more injured.

Speaker 2 (16:41):
I just didn't expect them to be so undisciplined, not
take advantage of the little opportunities that they were given,
and to not The way that that Lad McConkie kick
return went was when you knew that that game went
south for them, Well.

Speaker 1 (16:56):
Yeah, McConkie scored, did you have any time touchdown on Oh?

Speaker 2 (16:58):
No, I know he did, But the kick return was
where I was like, yeah, the momentum of this game
just changed.

Speaker 3 (17:04):
But no, he was in bet jail for me.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
I'm addicted to betting on the Chargers. Everything to do
with the Chargers, whether it's the Chargers, whether it's Lad McConkey,
I'm addicted.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
I don't know what it is. I need to put
this whole team in bet jail.

Speaker 2 (17:16):
Did I already bet them next week to cover by
a point and a half? Literally, as I was talking
to Gifford when we were in like the pre show
lobby for this.

Speaker 3 (17:24):
Yes, I am addicted.

Speaker 2 (17:25):
I don't know what it is, but I am addicted
to the Los Angeles Chargers.

Speaker 1 (17:29):
They are at the Dolphins next.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
Dolphins are a bad football team.

Speaker 2 (17:37):
Yeah, and I got them a point and a half
before we got on the show.

Speaker 3 (17:42):
Charier's ass kicking.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
Yeah. I have to dig into some of the Chargers injuries,
but I definitely don't want any part of the Dolphins.
I mean, they went up seventeen to nothing today and
then did absolutely nothing the rest of the game. They
had the dad cardiac cats. I feel word the people
that quit their podcast. I know this is the week

(18:05):
so upset about episode.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
Oh, I'm so upset about that. As a Jags fan,
I relate to them really hard. But I can imagine
your football team being so bad that your wife is like, stucky,
you have got to stop podcasting and come spend time.

Speaker 3 (18:21):
With your kids.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Like that is a level of hell that I hope
that the Jaguars never get back to. But good for
the Panthers, dude, they honestly, Bryce Young Loki looks kind
of good in the second half of this game. I
will say it will my Chargers bet will worry me
a little bit if McDaniels does get fired this week,
just because whenever a coach gets fired, I love to

(18:43):
back the team the following week.

Speaker 3 (18:45):
That's my only fear here.

Speaker 2 (18:46):
But even a point and a half for like a
Chargers revenge spot, I couldn't turn it down.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
It was too good.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
But the Panthers impressed me today, like they got so
far down, fought their way back into this.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
No Chuba Hubbard, like good for Rico Dowbell.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
I'm O'dowdell went wow, twenty three six yards.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
Yeah, twenty three for two oh six in a touchdown.
I think he added another twenty five to thirty through
the air. I believe you got three for twenty eight,
So you're talking over two thirty yards from scrimmage. And yeah,
that Dolphins did nothing that a fifty yard pass to
Waddle after the first quarter, fifty yard pass to Waddle.
Other than that, they had twenty five net yards totals

(19:29):
in the game. It might only look like a three
point win for Carolina. They averaged six point four yards
per play, the Dolphins only four point seven total yardage
four eighteen to two forty eight. It was the Dabbles story.
They were running right through Miami and yeah, if Miami
fires McDaniel, I mean, I don't know what this team
has going for it. It's like the defense is bad.

(19:49):
I mean, you've got You've let Dawdll go for two hundred.
The secondary is one of the worst in the NFL.
The offensive line is horrendous, and now you don't have
Tyreek Hill. One of the only things you have going
for you is like McDaniels, I think is still a
good play caller and play designer. Like you look, if

(20:10):
they fire him and now you don't have Tyreek to
stretch the field. What what does this team have? There's
no redeeming qualities. The Dolphins are a bad football team.
They fall one in the water. Yeah, they got the
Chargers next and they're at the Browns. Uh is their
their next two games? And it could get ugly in

(20:31):
Miami all right? Elsewhere? Speaking of ugly, the Raiders, I
don't know where rock Bottom is for the Raiders have aura.
Maybe you're right, Daniel Jones, maybe he has aura. I
mean they didn't have to do it. They scored forty starters.

Speaker 2 (20:51):
What's that they benched starters like they let Anthony Richardson
come into this game. Imagine twelve months ago me being like, listen,
Indiana Jones is going to do this, and Anthony Richardson
is going to be the backup, and they're going to
put up They're going to be so good you're not
even gonna believe it.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
Imagine me telling you that a year ago.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
Yeah, Anthony Richardson had a reception in the game. I
mean it wasn't as bad as the final score looks.
I mean it was bad that the Colts deserve to
win and cover. I mean total like they had three
hundred total yards, Like yardage was pretty equal. There's but
the Raiders, there's special teams all year have been a disaster.
You get another punt block today, miss a field goal,

(21:34):
two turnovers, they were Oh, I think the punter.

Speaker 3 (21:37):
Is hurt though, Right, isn't Carlson?

Speaker 2 (21:40):
The punter for the Raiders is hurt? Right, isn't Carlson
punting for them?

Speaker 1 (21:44):
Yeah, the punter got hurt, which is obviously an important
position for the Raiders with that offense right now. But
they Gino Smith looks horrible, bade more interceptions, but they
go oh for four in the red zone. The Colts
go six for six, so they capitalized on every single
opportunity and they beat the Raiders forty to six. I

(22:06):
think we can honestly say that the Colts are real
and definitely a contender.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
In the ASO to Jim Ersa is alive and well.

Speaker 1 (22:16):
They get the Cardinals next, and then they are at
the Chargers. We'll see if the Cardinals can rebound in Indianapolis.
That'll depending on what number we get. Let's see where
what if there's let's look, I'll pull up some lines
for next week. I could I could be talked into
the Cardinals in that spot, but man, where they mentally

(22:41):
after today? That is?

Speaker 2 (22:43):
And Kyler got seemed hurt at one point. Didn't you
go back to the locker room or something Kyler got hurt?

Speaker 1 (22:49):
Yeah, he was a little banged up, but he did
come back into the game. Yeah, the Cardinals need to
get healthy in their secondary, which is worth monitoring. It
looks like they're let me pull up DraftKings Cardinals next week.
While I'm pulling this up, do you have anything for tonight?

Speaker 2 (23:08):
I am gonna go with tras your I'm just gonna
go with Travon Henderson. I think I think that's where
the kind of breadcrumbs have been up here all week,
is that he's expected to probably get the majority of
the snaps. Obviously, it's no secret that if you want
to beat the Bills, you've got to get the run
game going, and you've got to get the run.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
Game going early.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
So if both of those things are going to be true,
then I think that I'm gonna take the cheese, follow
the cheese, whatever you want to call it.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
With that, I think that that's my only thing for tonight.
It's a weird spot, right Like, the Patriots have a.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
Really good week last week, got some momentum. Where does
that put them? I think it's a good spot for
the Patriots. The other thing for me is that I
am definitely one of these people who's like, look good,
dress good, feel good, play good whatever with the Bills
in their sick ass rivalry uniforms. But my big question
mark with the being able to cover this number is
I just don't know who they are. There's moments where

(24:04):
they've looked like the second Coming of Jesus Christ, and
then there's moments where they let the Saints hang around
with them at home in a primetime spot. Like I
just I don't know who this team is, and I'm
very much the type of person who when a team
shows you who they are, believe them. I think it's
a good spot for the Patriots. Don't know who the
Bills are, so I'm going to stick with player props
and not put my hard earned dollars somewhere that I

(24:27):
don't feel confident.

Speaker 1 (24:28):
Yeah, I don't have anything here. I'm pretty close to market.
It looks like Spencer Brown will play for the Bills.
Matt Mullano's back, but there is no at Oliver. That's important,
you know, I was at first, I was thinking about
the Pats earlier in the week, just but from a
matchup perspective. Henderson's got out a big game because you
have to run on the Bills. But the Patriots run

(24:49):
game has been horrendous all year. I mean, they've had
a bottom three run game. Drake Mays played unbelievable, but
he's been so good on late downs like Kenny. Maintain
that level because the Bills are going to get pressure.
The Bills still are generating pressure even without Oliver. That
offensive line will allow pressure. So I worry that there's
gonna be too many negative plays, too many sacks, which
May does still a bit too much of that are

(25:11):
gonna kill drives. And then when the Bills have the
ball with brown Back and Josh Allen, like, how many
stops can you really realistically expect this Patriots defense to get?
The biggest thing? Yeah, to me, their linebackers are so
bad in coverage, like horrendous that the Bill the Bills
over the middle of the field I think can just

(25:33):
eat all day.

Speaker 2 (25:34):
So yeah, I think what's gonna wind up? I think
there's two big question marks for me tonight. It's one
do you who do you put Gonzalez on? I think
that it has to be concaid, But obviously Dawson Knox
can eat you up and down if you need him to.
That's the issue is that they're gonna have to pick
for Gonzalez and Bill or Josh Allen's gonna shred you
either way, it doesn't matter where you put him. The

(25:55):
other thing for me is is that I think Hunter
Henry is the best. I'm glad that Stephan Diggs got
involved with the Patriots last week. I think that that
was not really huge for Drake May and his coming
out party.

Speaker 3 (26:07):
Last week.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
I think it was good for Stephan and his confidence. Obviously,
we're not seeing him get down the field the way
that we could see vintage.

Speaker 3 (26:13):
Stefan Diggs doing. I think they need to keep feeding him.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
But because Hunter Henry has been so locked up, helping
out that offensive line and being a bocker is the
better Drake may has had for his for his first
season in the NFL. And I think that him being
able to be a security blanket is huge for Drake.
But the fact that he's making so much up on
the back end blocking for them, I think is really
where the Patriots might continue to struggle to be able

(26:39):
to score points to keep them in this game. If
Josh Allen really can shred the Patriots defense the way
that I think he's going to be able to with
the options that they have, Honestly, it might even be
a it might be don't I.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
Don't even know whose game it's going to be. I'm
assuming they're going to put Gonzales on.

Speaker 1 (26:55):
The Bills are the one team that it doesn't really like.
If you have one lockdown corner like the Bills, it
doesn't matter. So I mean they just they spread it out.
They're gonna like there's there's so many ways. Yeah, there's
you never know the Bills. I who's gonna whose day
it's gonna be. But there's so many ways. I think
that they can attack the Patriots a right, let me

(27:17):
rattle off a couple any more games. We didn't get
to Cowboys Cowboys. That's my worst call the day the Jets.
That was embarrassing to say the least. That they look
like they quit at times. I mean, the defense for
the Jets is unfathomably bad. I get Prescott, yeah it's

(27:41):
but the Cowboys ran average six yards over six yards
per rush. Prescott is playing at a really high level.
He threw four touchdowns, no interceptions, and the Jets couldn't
get ay. They added a couple of garbage time touchdowns,
but that was in a really bad spot with injuries
along the offensive line, no CD lamb. They went into
New York and completely dominate the Jets, who fall to

(28:05):
oh and five Cowboys two to two and one.

Speaker 2 (28:08):
I have bet regret on the Cowboys. That was the
one team that you I brought I put on our notes.

Speaker 1 (28:13):
You're right.

Speaker 2 (28:14):
I was like, I could be really talked into the
Cowboys today you guys talked me out of it.

Speaker 3 (28:18):
I think that they're good, dude, I really do.

Speaker 2 (28:21):
I know that they have injuries and they're the Cowboys,
but I I think.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
That they're better than we are giving them credit for.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
Nores podcast Quarterback League Pruss. The level that Prescott's playing
at right now, there's not many quarterbacks that have played
better than him over the past few weeks. So you're
always going to have a shot with that level of
quarterback play. I mean what he did against Green Bay
and then today so JEF no CD. Yeah, with no CD,
lamb Jets fall to oh and five they host or

(28:51):
that I think they played Denver in London? Is that
a London game, producer? Can you check that? I think
that's a London game.

Speaker 3 (28:56):
I think you're right, Yes, London Day, London.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
We're giving London and all the treats we give them
Wentce versus Gabriel and now they get Nicks versus whatever.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
The Jets are Okay, they're going to get the Jacksonville
Jaguars in the Los Angeles Rams.

Speaker 3 (29:11):
You're welcome, love you mean it, London.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
That is a great game, by the way, Jags tomorrow,
I am on your Jags.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
I am not going to the game. Actually, you know what,
I need everyone.

Speaker 3 (29:24):
To clap it up for me. I'm being a responsible adult.

Speaker 2 (29:27):
I couldn't get a flight home in time for our
podcast on Tuesday. I got a free ticket for the game,
and I'm staying to be on this podcast. I know
there's probably people in our YouTube comments that are like,
please go, we don't want your her.

Speaker 3 (29:38):
But screw you guys here. I am.

Speaker 1 (29:41):
All right. We'll be happy to have you on Tuesday.
I will require you to fulfill some type of punishment
if your Jags don't cover tomorrow. I don't know what
it'll be yet, but I do like Jacksonville against the Sheets.
I like them. I think this launch should be under three.

Speaker 3 (30:00):
We're being punished for your decisions.

Speaker 1 (30:02):
Look, people, everyone is saying that the Chiefs are back.
Their offense is back, like Worthys.

Speaker 3 (30:10):
The album also sucks.

Speaker 1 (30:12):
Did you see the Ravens today? The Ravens defense made
the Texans look like the best offense in the league. So,
like I would, let's pump our brakes on the Chiefs
offense all of a sudden being this explosive machine that
we saw last week that I think that had everything
to do with the Ravens. Now Worthy does help. What's up?

Speaker 3 (30:35):
I have something to say.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
If the Jacksonville Jaguars win tomorrow against the Chiefs in primetime,
they will lose to the Seattle Seahawks. If I know
this team like I know this team, what is exactly
going to happen is that they will beat the Chiefs
in prime time and then get their ass kicked by
the Seahawks. That's exactly what's going to happen.

Speaker 1 (30:56):
I could see it. But I think the two questions
you have to ask yourself. One, where do you is
the Chiefs offense? Like how much better is it right now? Look,
they still can't run the ball. Kelsey still washed. Whethy
does help, but the offensive line still has issues. Besides
your two their receivers suck your two main interior guys

(31:18):
that are reliable. There's still other holes that are shaky
right now in that offensive line. The other question that
they ask yourself is do you believe in the Jags?
And look, the Jags have been fortunate in the turnover department.
They had a league high thirteen takeaways last year. They
had nine total for the entire season, so they were
probably overdue for some regression on that front, but this

(31:41):
is pretty extreme. They forced at least three turnovers in
every game. The offense has looked a lot better. The
execution is all there. I think it's all Liam Cohen, like,
I think the coaching has just elevated the Jags exponentially.
The defense, the upgrade on the defensive staff, the coordinator.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
Of that dude, he can't control that the receivers are
dropping the balls, but he's kind of that guy.

Speaker 1 (32:05):
Yeah, I mean look at that. You look at the
Jags personnel. Their offensive line is ranked number one and
adjusted sack right there like top three, and pass block
win right, top three and run block win right. It's
a lot of the same guys that they had last year.
And that's all.

Speaker 3 (32:21):
Pretty much all the same. Yeah, look at Devin Lloyd.
Look at Devin Lloyd.

Speaker 1 (32:25):
Out of no Devin Lloyd is playing at an all
pro level.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
Yeah, they're gonna have to pay that dude. And last
year I was like, get this man off.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
Of my roster, which is he looks like a different player.

Speaker 2 (32:37):
I think it's gonna be the same situation where Josh
Heinzalen a couple of seasons ago had a monster year,
fell off for a minute, was due for a contract,
had a huge year, got paid, and then he kind
of fell off last season after getting paid. But I
could totally see the same thing happening with Devin Lloyd,
like kind of a contract year, make it or break

(32:58):
a year for him. We saw the that was drafted
in the same position, in the same class as him,
Chad Mumaga earlier in the season. So he made the
rosters turn this around. All all the power to him.
He's kicked ass.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
I think Trayvon's going to play tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
So there he is. Do you see you see? Yeah,
the club?

Speaker 3 (33:18):
Have you play in the club?

Speaker 1 (33:21):
Yeah, Traymon Walker might give it a go. He practiced,
he's got It's probably hard to see if I hold up.
He has a big thick black glove that I mean club. Yeah,
it's gonna be swinging that thing around.

Speaker 3 (33:36):
They played in the club by fifty the whole game.

Speaker 1 (33:40):
So I think the Jags are real now. The offense
still has another level to go to. They gotta get there.
They lead the league in drops. They got to stop
dropping passes again. Again. Yeah, that's it seems like that's
that consistent issue with the Jags. But I think that
because the defense is not going to be able to
keep relying on turnovers.

Speaker 3 (33:59):
Turnovers.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
Yeah, certainly been fortunate in that front. There's probably gonna
be some regression. They're not going to keep getting three takeaways.

Speaker 2 (34:04):
You're playing better quarterbacks, like you've in the next couple
of weeks. You've got Patrick Mahomes, and then you play
Sam Donald, which Sam Darnold now is not the Sam
Darnald Old. Sam Donald kicked ass today, and then you
play and then you play Matt Stafford. So like you're
not going to continue to get this lucky against veterans
like that.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
Yeah, so the offense has to continue to improve. But
the screen game under Cohen, just the play design, I
think it'll be a close game like this, I think
the last week aside, because I think that had everything
to do with the Ravens. The Chiefs are still who
the Chiefs are, and they're probably gonna play close games
and really struggle to build margin. So I like the Jacks.

(34:40):
I've been high on them coming into the ear, remain
high on them from what I've seen, even though they've
been a bit fortunate. I mean, they got they had
one of the most the unluckiest losses of the year
against the Bengals.

Speaker 3 (34:50):
So they state Browning owns them.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
Seriously, that's the only team that he owns. They could
be the Jacks could easily be four and out if
they didn't.

Speaker 2 (34:59):
Yeah, I saw, you know Browning.

Speaker 1 (35:05):
Actually, since he looked a little better in the second half,
maybe they don't do anything. But I started to think
during that game, are the Bengals going to trade for
like a veteran quarterback Jamis?

Speaker 3 (35:16):
I was thinking Jamis maybe.

Speaker 1 (35:20):
Go to the the Giants roster or the x g Ross.
I don't know. Browning just looks he looks lost, like
he's not reading things, not seeing It's it's bad. It's bad.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
And since been the same right now, Yeah, he hasn't
been the same since he got in the camera screaming
about like cutting him. Oh yeah, he really, he really, he.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
Really screwed himself over with that one.

Speaker 1 (35:47):
Yeah. So the division right now is Gabriel Browning and
Cooper Rush and the Steelers are sitting pretty.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
With Sometimes what you would have thought that this division
would be the toughest division in football this year?

Speaker 1 (36:05):
Yep, I mean that's sometimes that's just how it goes
Barrell gets hurt. Lamar has been hurt. The entire Ravens
defense is in the hospital. Uh so that's the way
it works sometimes. Quick look at lines for Yeah, so
I like the Jags. Nothing tonight. Let's see Thursday night football.
Eagles seven point favorite at the Giants. Broncos are seven

(36:25):
and a half point favorites in London against the Jets.

Speaker 2 (36:30):
Feels that feels I mean, the London games are weird. Jets,
Oh my god, are you serious?

Speaker 1 (36:38):
I don't know. I'm gonna have to look. I don't
want to look. I don't want to look to see
what I make it. Although I got to adjust the
Jets again, and like after today, it's not gonna be pretty.

Speaker 3 (36:47):
I think the Cowboys are going to.

Speaker 1 (36:48):
Leave, how bad their defense is.

Speaker 3 (36:50):
The Cowboys are going to roll the Panthers.

Speaker 1 (36:53):
Let's see Cowboys minus three in Carolina could be tall
my cardiac cats again. I don't know, we'll see.

Speaker 3 (37:02):
Oh my god, you're addicted.

Speaker 1 (37:04):
He's here's what everyone the whole world will be on.
Colts minus four and a half at home against Arizona
forty seven and a half. Jags one and a half
point favorites over the Seahawks. Obviously that could change tomorrow.
Rams seven point favorites in Baltimore. Ye, I guess there's

(37:24):
a chance that Lamar can play. We'll see. It's tricky
because obviously with his injury, you don't want to rush
him back because then it could end up being a
longer term thing and cost him the season. And you
have a buye on deck, but your season is slipping away,

(37:47):
Like if you lose, you fall to one in five,
can you recover from that? So like they have to
weigh the risk of Lamar and versus the risk of
like if we go one in five, Like, do we
really have a chance against the Rams with the way
that we played today? Probably not with Cooper Rush, So

(38:08):
that'll be interesting. Maybe he tries to give it a
go and that will obviously impact the line significantly. Forty
nine Ers three point dogs at Tampa Bay. I'm sure
Tampa Bay will find a way to win in the
final minute. Titans plus five and a half at the Raiders.

Speaker 3 (38:26):
I'm not sure we're gonna get them ball. Next week.
We got Titans, Raiders and pat Saints.

Speaker 1 (38:33):
Packers laying over two touchdowns against the Fangals. Yeah, and
Pats are three point favorites in New Orleans. Obviously that
could be impacted by tonight and what we see there
and if there's any injuries. The best game of the weekend.
We got a couple good primetime games. Next week. We

(38:54):
got Lions at Chiefs. Chiefs are one and a half
point favorites, Bills at Falcons, Falcons five and a half
point home underdogs. I think I'll like Atlanta there, and
the Commanders are five and a half point favorites against
the Bears. We'll talk about all those games Tuesday Thursday
