Speaker 1 (00:10):
Restlessly. Sunday Week eight is wrapping up. Welcome to the Favorites.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
I'm your host, Brandy Kravitz, joined by my fellow capadres
Kendra Middleton and Stucky the Prime Minister. A lot to
discuss here. We'll get the big moments, the big storylines,
National tight ends day. I'll give you a little preview
of Steelers Packers tonight, a Monday night football parlay as well,
but first a recap of the two Kings and a
(00:37):
Queen parlay the Jets cover and when good job, Kendra,
you shot your shot from overseas. Welcome back, by the way,
welcome til I finished there. I had the Saints who
benched Spencer Rattler today, if you're wondering how that went.
And Stucky's on the Commanders tomorrow night plus twelve and
a half and because of me, it doesn't matter. So
(01:00):
maybe we'll fit that into a Monday night football parlay
just to get it back in there.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
But Kendra, welcome back. Did you miss us?
Speaker 3 (01:08):
I did miss you, guys.
Speaker 4 (01:09):
Actually I went to try and listen to the podcast,
but I did not have time, and I was wondering
if you guys were nice to me. But I never
found out, but I did miss you guys.
Speaker 2 (01:23):
Yeah, no, I think we were nice to you. Now
was I kind to myself? The answer to that would
be and no. I am in a shit mood tonight
because I did not have a profitable Sunday and I
lost another head to head bet with Stucky. I owe
Stucky crab cakes for those that have not been following along.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
We went head to head on Bears Ravens.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
I took the Bears a plus six and a half
on Tuesday because I thought, Hey, if Lamar doesn't play,
what incredible value that is? Closing line value is plush?
I can't pay my bills with it. Unfortunately, if I could,
I'd be set till the holidays. It doesn't matter. He
gets announced out Shenanigan's a foot. Tyler Huntley plays and
the Ravens win and not only cover the new spread
(02:06):
of two and a half, they covered the original spread
of six and a half. And I'm just beside myself
right now, So Stucky take another victory.
Speaker 5 (02:18):
Lap Is like I told you, doesn't play. They could
still cover the six and a half and I'd still
like them.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
In Tyler fucking Huntly, this guy's been awful for the
last couple of weeks.
Speaker 5 (02:28):
Defense has been awful for weeks. They've just been turnover marchings.
They don't get the turnovers today and they get shredded.
And the Ravens defense was healthy. Yeah, that was It
was a much needed win. A very bizarre situation with
hap with what happened with Lamar, like apparently he's gonna
start on Thursday in a short week. We'll see. But uh, yeah,
(02:51):
I think you're zero and five. Had to head bets,
so it's so it's nice I if I go ahead
to head with you, I know that, all right. I
gotta throw a little extra on uh this bet. But
what a boring day of football. I won money today
and usually that's enough to have a fun day. I
don't think I've ever been so bored watching an NFL Sunday.
I mean, there was one close, good finish and that
(03:16):
was Jets Bengals the Owen seven Jets who that's the
Bengals defense. That's one of the most embarrassing performances I've
ever seen. Justin Field too, looked like he couldn't complete
a pass for weeks. Has a wide receiver room of
Arion Smith, who else was Bizard and I don't even
(03:42):
know the third was and Tyler Johnson and they put
up five hundred and twenty yards come back from two
touchdowns down late Aaron Glenn, who always just looks frozen
on the sidelines like it's just like, oh my god,
this season, it just looks completely frozen. It makes the
(04:05):
call of the weekend, goes for two down fourteen. They
get it, score. Joe Flacco goes into the locker room
to take a ship, comes out ships on the field.
I guess again and then but the offense was fine.
He played well, but it definitely under yards to that
(04:27):
version of the Jets offense. That's why you can't the story.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Give him his flowers.
Speaker 5 (04:34):
Breesethall was great, Isaiah Davis. Everyone on the Jets was great.
By the way Brisehall threw that pass that was very reminiscent.
You're too young for this, Kenja. But there was a
Jets player back in like O seven who had almost
the exact same play to pitch out to the running
(04:54):
back and then the running back went to throw it
and Herm Edwards was saying no, no, no, don't throw it,
and then ed Reid picked it off. And then Brian
Billock was saying no, no, no, Ed, don't return it.
And then Reid took it one hundred and eight the
other way. But this one, because the Bengals defense is
(05:15):
so incompetent, Mason Taylor just plucks it out of the air.
I can't believe it all threw it, and then I
can't believe that it was caught. But congrats with the
Jets again their first win, and thank you to both
teams for giving us at least a minute of some excitement.
Ma'am what a boring day, I mean. And then I
was like, all right, well the four o'clock last week,
(05:36):
the early slate was awful, but the four o'clock games
were good. This, I mean, the four o'clock games today
were horrendous.
Speaker 3 (05:45):
With this schedule.
Speaker 5 (05:47):
You can't put the Titans on at four o'clock if
there's only three games league that has to be a
new like just league rule. So hopefully that means we
have some exciting Sundays coming, because I at the Witching
Hour I live for.
Speaker 6 (05:59):
It was this week though, we had six teams on.
Speaker 5 (06:02):
The by yeah, and just bad games. So hopefully that means, uh,
we think they're they're coming, but the last two weekends
have been have been rough.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
Uh, National tight Ends Day delivers again. Tight Ends across
the league accounted for ten touchdowns seven different tight ends,
if my account was right scored between Thursday night, Ronde
Gadsden to this evening Kendra, I'm a little disappointed I
didn't just sit out everything else and just bet any
time touchdowns with tight ends.
Speaker 4 (06:32):
But I said that on Twitter, I said that profitable day.
Speaker 6 (06:36):
I said that on Twitter.
Speaker 4 (06:37):
I set a reminder for myself for next season to
find out when National tight Ends Day is and just.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
Put here's the thing, Kendra. We talked about it, we said, hey, listen,
it's out there. We were aware of it, but it
felt like last year it just hit so hard that it's.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
Not gonna happen again.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
Everybody's gonna go chasing these touchdown stats with these tight ends.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
And it delivered again.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
So I guess it's one of those things, like we
often talk about fading the public.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
This is one of those areas where.
Speaker 2 (07:09):
National tight Ends Day, it's just it's a day for
all of the casuals to have fun.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
And I think I'm gonna join him next year.
Speaker 6 (07:17):
I think that that's the way to do it.
Speaker 4 (07:19):
I guess it's just you gotta feed your guys when
the time allows for it. I got in on it
last year, forgot about it this year because I was abroad,
and I cannot forget about it next year again because
you're just leaving money on the table.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
It feels like a.
Speaker 2 (07:34):
Couple of the other big storylines. The Giant Swag was extinguished,
Jackson Dart melted down, and a lot of that happened
after Cam skataboo horrendous injury with his ankle twisting in
ways that your ankle is not supposed to twist. Philly
looks like they're all the way back. Their passing offense
came back a week ago. This week, Jalen Hurts had
(07:55):
fourth passing touchdowns. That's not even the story of their offense.
Saquon Barkley was unbelievable in today's game, and the Patriots
extend their winning streak to five games. Drake may looking
like a legit MVP candidate, stucky among those or others.
What was your biggest takeaway from the Sunday Action.
Speaker 5 (08:13):
Yeah, I don't know if the Eagles are all the
way back. I mean, the Giants rundy is horrific, and
then they had more cornerback injuries. Their cornerbacks were Banks,
who's unplayable, and Black, who just came up from the
practice squad. He's on the scout team. Like that is
as bad as you could ever have it in your secondary.
And the Giants guy had no money on the game.
(08:34):
The Giants got a horrendous whistle. They had a long
touchdown callback for an Opi which was complete horseshit, and
then hurts on four on another tush Bush clearly fumbled
the ball and they copped out with the forward progress.
Speaker 6 (08:48):
The offensive pass interference was crazy too.
Speaker 5 (08:51):
Yeah, yeah, I just said that was awful, Like it
awful call the tush push. Yeah, another play that the
rest box and the favor that led to another touchdown.
I mean, Eagles are the right side. But the Giants
were so beat up on defense. Their secondary was in shambles.
But then Scataboo going down. It's a shame the Giants
are cursed like Dart Scataboo neighbors. It would have been fun.
Speaker 1 (09:15):
Yeah. Now we're just yeah, still balling though.
Speaker 4 (09:18):
It's impressive like he went out there even after Skataboo,
got hurt, had a rushing touchdown, still trying to make
the receivers that he has left work. I would love
to get money on him as the offensive rookie of
the Year right now, but with what he's left to
work with, I just I can't get there.
Speaker 5 (09:36):
Yeah, he's deer got hurt too. I mean, like the
lead he was, I mean, how many times can you
throw to Theo Johnson and Wanda Robinson and put up numbers.
It's a shame because the Giants were like there was
a little glimmer there, and then the Broncos meltdown and
then today more injuries so and then in regards to
(10:00):
the Patriots game, yeah, just not a great matchup for
the Browns just because they are passing offense is terrible.
And that's how you have to attack the Patriots. And
you can beat this Browns defense with explosive passes and
that's what Drake May does. His deep ball right now is.
Speaker 6 (10:18):
Pristine, best in the league.
Speaker 5 (10:21):
And I mean the Patriots also got their run game going.
I mean the average over five yards carry close to
two hundred yards rushing. The brown here brown pretty much
nothing except Miles Garrett deserves a shout out for five
sacks for sure.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
Did you guys see how mad he was on the sidelines.
That's something I wouldn't be so scared to be around.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
Are we kidding?
Speaker 1 (10:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (10:42):
He wanted, he wanted a He wanted to go back
in maybe set a record. I believe Derek Thomas has
the record with seven back in ninety one somewhere around there.
And yeah, Garret wanted to go back out there and
get six or seven sacks. He was destroying Will Campbell.
Speaker 4 (11:03):
I was gonna I was just gonna ask you if
you thought that it said more about Will Campbell or
more about Miles Garrett today.
Speaker 5 (11:12):
Probably a little bit of both. I mean, Garret can
embarrass rookies, but I mean the Patriots offensive line definitely
has issues. It's just it's a more credit to what
May has done in his deep ball this year and
his pocket awareness and his scrap anality, because like the
run game hasn't been there all year it was today.
The offensive line and the protection isn't great. It's not
(11:34):
like he has the best weapons in the league. So
he's definitely playing really well. Wasn't a great matchup for
the Browns and the Browns defense like it is. We've
seen it. We have a huge sample size. Now it's
night and day at home. They suffocate teams, doesn't matter
who you are on the road, it's just not the
same team. And then speaking of not the same teams, well,
(11:56):
it wasn't a great day of people that said there's
not a drop off between Rice Young and Andy Dalton.
Andy Dalton wolf was.
Speaker 1 (12:03):
Missable, terrible.
Speaker 6 (12:06):
He looked I saw someone on tweet.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
I want to say it was like JP Acosta or somebody,
and he goes, he doesn't even look like unk.
Speaker 3 (12:12):
He looks like my granddad.
Speaker 5 (12:15):
It was bad that I happened. Has had an incredible interception.
But yeah, the Bills, the Panthers run he's been really
has been really good. The Bills were able to run
all over them, and the Bills run defense has been
really bad. The Panthers were able to the Panthers were
not able to get their run game going, so that
was a bit surprising. And then the same thing with
the Falcons. A lot of people said, like, it's gonna
(12:35):
be an upgrade with Kirk Cousins. I know that Drake
London was out, but.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
Wow, what the hell happened? To them.
Speaker 5 (12:42):
That's one of the most shocking results of the year.
Miami winning thirty four to ten didn't even feel that close.
Like Tua had a really efficient day twenty to twenty
six to ten ish I think four touchdowns. But the
most surprising thing is this horrendous I know that the
(13:05):
the and that was the biggest upset of to his
career points spread wise. I know that the Falcons defense
had some injuries Diablo and Walker, a couple guys in
the front seven. But the Falcons offense, I know it
was Kirk Cousins. He did not look good, but like Ijon,
(13:25):
nine carries for twenty five yards and a fumble. I
mean it is basically like Kyle Pitt showed up and
nobody else did anything. I mean, there's no Drake Lennon.
Darneld Mooney had one catch for eleven yards. That is
a horrendous Falcons loss. And they've been really good at home,
and we'll see on them because there might be an
(13:47):
opportunity to buy them allow next week if Pennix is
back in London, because they're at the Patriots curious to
see what that.
Speaker 1 (13:54):
We'll save some of that for Tuesday.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
By the way Favorites went nine and two against the
spread in Week eight entering our Sunday Night Football game,
and the Dolphins one of those two that were able
to cover the spread as an underdog and they won out.
Speaker 5 (14:08):
Dolphins and Jets the only two dogs as you would
have expected.
Speaker 2 (14:12):
Yeah, so bad, bad day if you back the dogs
before we get the Sunday Night Football. I'm going to
toss it to Kendra for a word about our partners
at DraftKings.
Speaker 7 (14:20):

Speaker 6 (14:43):
The crown is yours.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
Our best and worst of the Sunday slates. Kendra, kick
us off here.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
You got We just talked about this, but I feel
like my wote has to be Andy Dalton.
Speaker 3 (14:57):
I am the leader.
Speaker 6 (14:59):
Of the sad nation on this podcast.
Speaker 4 (15:02):
I that was just terrible. That was the word. I
did not expect him to look that bad. I know
I said that on Twitter. I knew that he had
really declined towards the end there, especially like last year
when you bench Bryce, bring him in, go back to Bryce,
you have to expect that he's probably really truly just there.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
For you know, experience, morale, what have you.
Speaker 4 (15:24):
And because the court carousel of backups in the league
is just insane.
Speaker 3 (15:29):
But that was horrible. My goat got to go back
to the p wards.
Speaker 4 (15:33):
It's got to be Drake May I know we just
talked about him too, but he is kicking, asked, taking
names out, kicking the coverage he has with that wide
receiver room in that offensive line, despite Miles Garrett getting
after him all day. Just some of the plays that
I've seen him make the last couple of weeks. I
have to say that I was wrong about this Patriots season.
It looks like so got to give them their flowers.
(15:54):
I've definitely been against them this season. So I don't
even know how else you go anywhere else with your
vote and Goat of the week. Maybe you could go
the Falcons or Raheem Morris in general. Maybe it's got
to be Raheem if it's with the Falcons, because what
the hell is going?
Speaker 2 (16:08):
I wow, we could just go with all of Week
eight if we wanted to, with how bad today's games were.
But the Patriots do deserve a proper shout out. They
are three wins away now middle of the Cities, and
they're three wins away from hitting their win total. Over
For those that were sitting on an eight and a half, stucky,
what about you goats and woltes today?
Speaker 5 (16:29):
Goat for me would be CJ. Stroud. Texans are my
favorite bet today and yeah, he was dominant. I mean
San Franz defense can't get after the passer. And if
that's the case, people say like Stroud is a terrible quarterback.
He's behind a bad offensive line that just crumbles against
(16:53):
competent defenses that can get pressure. When he plays defenses
that can't get pressure, you can still make all the throws.
And he was throwing to a bunch of Iowa State
young receivers who had I think thirteen catches for one
fifty and two touchdowns and Noel Higgins and Hutchinson and Stroud.
I think went thirty, like thirty of thirty eight for
(17:15):
three toho eight. There was I could be making that up,
but it sounds about right.
Speaker 4 (17:19):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (17:20):
There was a time in that game where the Texans
had a four forty seven to one forty eight yardage advantage.
Now they're the Texans, so they were only up eight
at the time, but they really should have They should
have been up like thirty at the half. It was
the lowest amount of time of possession by one team
(17:44):
since two thousand and nine. That's the forty nine ers
like a ball control offense. They had the ball for
five minutes. That's it, five game minutes.
Speaker 2 (17:54):
CMC had twenty five yards rushing in this game. He
had two hundred total yards last week, so little drop off.
Speaker 5 (18:01):
Yeah, and this is the forty nine Ers were kind
of fraudulent, like they've been getting away with close wins.
This is this Texans defense is the best defense they've
played by far, and they just had a ton of
injuries on defense like that. You just they weren't gonna
keep getting away with it. So yeah, that was like
a circle of the wagons Texans spot and they were
(18:21):
Dominant's final score doesn't even do it justice. My wote.
Speaker 7 (18:26):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (18:26):
The one that I lost today was the Saints, so
I guess I had to go Rattle. I mean, all
you had to do in that game is not turn
it over and you probably cover. I mean the Bucks
offense did nothing that The Bucks had two hundred and
ten yards. They averaged three point eight yards per play,
and you throw the pick six after the huge goal
line stand, which is massive. There was three more turnovers.
(18:50):
His wide receivers didn't help me to They had a
couple of like fumbles drops, But Rattler was who's who
had He has been good against the blitz. He was
not reading the Bulls Blitz. So I give credit to
to Bowls and I give credit to one of the
like that. I mean, the Bucks offense was so beat
up they really couldn't do much. One of the players
(19:13):
of the game for Tampa, and if you had the Bucks,
this might be one of your goats was Anthony Nelson,
who was replacing Hassan Reddick who was out with an injury,
and he had that incredible pick six and then just stick.
That is like a career ender. If you have that
(19:34):
on film of that happening to you. So yeah, they'll
be curious to see what the Saints do at quarterback.
They're at the Rams next, so that'll be something to
keep an eye on. And uh, my goat from just
like a watching perspective was Jonathan Taylor and the Colts
(19:54):
are a machine. They sweeped the Titans again that they
have the most sweeps of it any divisional team since
realignment over one other team, one other opponent, and that's
the Colts over the Titans. They were dominant, put up
thirty eight Jonathan Taylor, three touchdowns, incredible run, and this
is like, look, we don't even have we don't even
(20:17):
have the vote, the real vote coach in Tennessee anymore.
And Mike McCoy does pulls what the vote would have done.
You're one in six and you're down fourteen, playing the
six and one first place team on the road. It's
fourth and three at their forty two, and you punt
(20:41):
for a net of twenty two yards and Jonathan Taylor
takes the next play eighty yards for a touchdown. Like ridiculous.
So yeah, producers saying Taylor's thirty five to one MVP
at DK shot, I just think it's gonna if my
home stays healthy. This is just like his year to
(21:03):
win it, and that offense is probably gonna be Yeah.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
I mean, you don't often get running backs that are
winning this award, But the Colts right now are running
away with the point differential battle with the rest of
the NFL plus one sixteen. No one's even close. They
are just killing teams every single week. My goat is Tua.
(21:26):
We've got to give credit where credit is due here.
He's been awful this season, but then he comes into
the game.
Speaker 1 (21:32):
I don't know if it's like pink eye or what.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
Yeah, for sure, pink.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
Eye swollen swollen, I has an illness, plays the best
game of the year. Twenty of twenty six two hundred yards,
four touchdowns. He looked like old Tua. Misdirection throw left,
you know it was. It was good to see it,
and I don't know how many more times we'll get it,
but he was really good today.
Speaker 1 (21:57):
My vote, I could easily give it to the Bears.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
In the Saints, they made me want to throw up today,
just money down the drain for a couple of quarterbacks
that used to play at OU. But I'm gonna give
mine to Woody Johnson, he shits on his quarterback earlier
in the week, and then Justin Fields goes out leads
a comeback to give the Jets their first win of
the season, and Fields isn't great by any stretch, but dude,
look in the mirror like this. Your organization is a
(22:20):
mess because of you, not because of him.
Speaker 1 (22:22):
And now that meame.
Speaker 4 (22:25):
It's like that meme where the guy is like, who
could have done this after you like shot somebody. I
think it's like an snl skit or whatever. It's like
you did this, but it made me really, really sad.
I don't know if you guys saw Justin Field's postgame
press conference where he was talking about he was like,
I'm gonna be really vulnerable with you guys for a second,
but he was crying in his closet on the floor
earlier this week, like it just I think sometimes people
(22:47):
need to take a step back. And we're all guilty
of making jokes and stupid tweets and engagement farming at
times or anything like that, but the same thing with
us when people are mean to us, like we can
relate to it online, but sometimes people need to take
a step back and realize that these are human beings
with jobs and that sometimes people take it a little
(23:07):
too far. Sometimes it's the owner, sometimes it's you know,
people on Twitter, whatever.
Speaker 6 (23:11):
But that made me really freaking sad.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
Like I was sitting in my uber home from work
and I just was like, well, damn, that's that ruined
my night.
Speaker 3 (23:20):
That made me so sad because we've.
Speaker 4 (23:22):
All cried on the floor of our closet once or
twice at.
Speaker 5 (23:26):
Yeah, and that makes me happier for him that he
got the win today. I'll put throw a bonus vote
out there, and that's what Well said, Kendra. My bonus
vote is the Dack today for a couple of reasons.
I mean, the Cowboys offense just isn't the same on
the road, and certain Patrick Surtain went out with an injury,
(23:46):
and Prescott's still threw for less than two hundred two
interceptions no touchdowns. And the Cowboys defense is a joke.
Although I think i've credit Bonus had a horrible throw
to start the game, then he was good the rest
of the way. The but the reason Dak and who's
played at an MVP colveral level prior to today, the
reason I'm going to say he's a bonus wote. He
(24:08):
threw an awful pick at the end of the first
half that prevent us from getting a chance at watching
Brandon Aubrey try a seventy yarder in that air in
the altitude, which I think they would have done, and
I would have liked to see that on a day
where nothing happened and nothing exciting happened. I was the
four o'clock slate that was like what I was looking
(24:29):
forward to, and then Dak just said, you know what,
I'm going to just throw a pick over the middle
of the field. So bonus wote to Dak for robbing
me of just any joy in the four o'clock slate.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
Screw you, Dak.
Speaker 2 (24:42):
All right, we're got our Monday night football fast passed
parlay that we will get to you in just a moment.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
Packers Steelers tonight.
Speaker 2 (24:51):
One of my biggest plays on the week Steelers plus three.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
It's not even.
Speaker 2 (24:56):
This is the shittiest feeling with an NFL Sunday And
another disclaimer to not Chase, I will not be doing that.
I'm down four units today. I have two on the Steelers.
Even if I cover, it's still losing weekend. It is
what it is.
Speaker 5 (25:11):
I just think it's just another game.
Speaker 4 (25:15):
Oh wait, hear me out though, Do we go firemooth anytime?
Speaker 2 (25:21):
I can't put anything else on this sleep, but you
guys have fun.
Speaker 5 (25:26):
Sound over twenty six and a half receiving yards. That's
what Gerner says. Uh so that's apparently the plan. I
don't have anything tonight in the game.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (25:42):
Hopefully it's good, hopefully competitive.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
Yeah, just give us a good game. So are you on?
Are you on that?
Speaker 2 (25:47):
Or is that more of like a can I get
a ground swell of momentum here?
Speaker 7 (25:51):
No?
Speaker 4 (25:51):
That was more so just a reaction to our national
tight ends day. Do I really do I go in
and you know, mess with the friarmouth at any time.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
We've been overthinking it all day. Just just fire on it,
Just do it. Somebody's gonna I.
Speaker 3 (26:06):
Had a good day.
Speaker 4 (26:07):
I'm like scared to fuck it up at this point.
I had a really good day. And no, I'm like, dude,
I don't.
Speaker 5 (26:12):
Johnny anytime?
Speaker 2 (26:15):
John whu Okay, going off the beaten path there, Monday
Night Football, Chiefs Commanders, let's do our draft Kings. Monday
Night Football fast pass parlay This is not like our
Thursday parlay where we can argue with each other. We
have to accept the plays here and move on. I'm
gonna I'm gonna throw a Rashi Rice over five and
(26:35):
a half receptions in there, ten targets in his first
game back. It's clear that he's the number one guy
in the passing attack for him to get that sort
of volume after missing as much time as he did,
Happy to add that one to the card here, Kendra,
what do you got?
Speaker 4 (26:50):
I'm between two, but I think I'm gonna go with
McLaurin anytime plus three hundred because I don't think we'll
ever see that you like that ever again ever from him.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
Yeah, I saw him. I think he's His receptions is
at like three and a half.
Speaker 4 (27:09):
Also, yeah, I get that they probably aren't going to
be passing the ball a ton, because obviously that's not
gonna be their bread and butter this game. It probably
have to Yeah, that's what I think so too, because
if they get behind early and that's going to be
their guy, that's got to be their guy. Is your
best receiver, You're gonna have to find him at some
point if you want to stay in this game and
I just don't think we're ever going to get value
(27:31):
like that from mclaura never again.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
Debo's back in this one, too stuck. You do you
want to just add commanders plus eleven and a half
or plus twelve.
Speaker 5 (27:39):
Yeah, plus eleven and a half right now, that's fine.
This this is just too high. I mean, my opinion
like Jade to drop off from Daniels. The current version
of Daniels, this isn't the Daniels that was playing at
an MVP level last year. Is the Daniels that no
matter what stat you look at, he's playing at a
pure league average level. And Mariota it's a small sample size.
(28:01):
I get, it's one hundred and fifty snaps. It's against
some questionable defenses over the past years, but he's top
three in success for ADPA perplaya dot. He can run
this offense, and you have McLaurin, you have Debo back.
Washington also can run the ball. Kansas City's run defense
has been leaky. What does that mean? They can sustain drives?
Mariota can also use his legs, and that means you
(28:22):
can keep Mahomes on the sidelines. The Kansas City offense
is on the upswing. I get it, they have Rice
and Worthy back, but they will be without two starting
offensive linemen here, and I just think this is too
many points like this, This is a great Bilo Cell
high spot. This is a desperation spot for Washington, And
(28:44):
mainly I just think that this should probably be like
ten nine and a half, ten, not eleven and a half. Like,
Mariota can run this offense. The Washington defense is terrible,
but schematically they can get some pressure with Chiefs offensive
line issues, might be able to get a stop or
two that way. But this, Uh, this Washington offense can score,
(29:07):
especially with their weapons back, and Mariota can. It's one
of the best backups in the league. He can run
this offense. And I like that they can run it.
And uh yeah, I think it's too many points. So
let's go with the Commanders plus eleven and a half.
Speaker 2 (29:20):
Had I not fucked up our parlay with the Saints,
we'd be sitting on a twelve and a half, but
that number has since vanished, so that bet is null. Well,
we just get a breaking news update. Brian Kelly is
out at LSU. I know this is an NFL Burn podcast,
but holy shit.
Speaker 5 (29:37):
Yeah, it doesn't surprise me.
Speaker 2 (29:38):
But if the four million dollar buyout, these guys, these
colleges are just throwing money in the trash gaar.
Speaker 5 (29:44):
That's the American dream. Become an FBS head coach at
a power program.
Speaker 2 (29:50):
Like these guys don't go away like you would think
your job, I get a fifty million dollar buyout, and
like James Franklin is already looking for his next job,
just go lay down somewhere.
Speaker 5 (30:01):
I think James Franklin has to contractually.
Speaker 3 (30:07):
The fight for Lane Kiffin begins.
Speaker 5 (30:09):
Yeah, I think that. I think that Franklin's required to
look for a new job and coaching or broadcasting per
his contract to receive the full buyout. So and he
has it's to make a good faith effort, it says
in the contract, because it would help if he does
get a new job, it would help reduce the buyout.
(30:32):
So like the buyout is would be reduced by whatever
the salary he earns in his new role. So he
has to make a good faith attempt at doing it.
So and he probably maybe still has the it. I mean,
you're get into coaching, you probably love coaching, but that's
that also is part of it. He is contractually obligated.
(30:53):
But yeah, Brian Kelly, the crowd was chanting fire Kelly
at the end of that game last night. So it's
and it turned ugly.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
It's kind of a dick.
Speaker 2 (31:03):
So, by the way, Sean Sean Kerner did put in
the app over on John new Smith at I believe
that was twenty four and a half yards.
Speaker 5 (31:11):
So if you guys don't listen, I told you that
four minutes ago.
Speaker 3 (31:15):
I heard you.
Speaker 5 (31:16):
Thank you.
Speaker 3 (31:17):
Okay, did you give up getting crab cakes?
Speaker 2 (31:21):
You gotta send me crab cakes address, send me a
link whatever crab cake you want.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
I'll come through.
Speaker 4 (31:28):
What.
Speaker 1 (31:29):
I can't stand this, I can't.
Speaker 4 (31:31):
You should send them from like the word and he
lives in Middle America.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
I thought about sending him just like a little crab
stuffed animal that you can pick up the publics, but.
Speaker 5 (31:40):
No, I have my spot in Baltimore. I'll send you
buy all.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
Right, So our parlay Rashi Rice over five and a
half receptions.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
Terry McLaurin over yardage. What did you have that at?
Speaker 3 (31:50):
Kendra three hundred?
Speaker 6 (31:54):
I think it's current where it's Outlet me refresh lists.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
Yeah from McLaurin yardage.
Speaker 6 (32:01):
Oh no, I had him for any time.
Speaker 1 (32:02):
Anytime touchdown.
Speaker 2 (32:03):
Sorry, okay, so awesome Commanders plus eleven and a half.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
That together over DraftKings is plus eight fifty.
Speaker 2 (32:11):
So we've got McLaurin touchdown where she rice over on
his catches and the commander's cover this space.
Speaker 3 (32:16):
It's two ninety. My bad.
Speaker 2 (32:19):
Well, we got the price in there plus eight fifty.
