Speaker 1 (00:00):
Do you know those arguments you have with your friends
in the group chat or barbershop about who is the
best shooter, best scorer or who has the best handles
of all time? Well, now imagine one of your buddies
is eleven year vet in the NBA who has not
only played against the game's best, but has a backstory
to validate those debates.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
I'm Seth Curry, guard for the Charlotte Hornets, and our
new podcast is called Goat Gote Greatest of Their Era.

Speaker 1 (00:23):
I'm Trevon Edwards. Join the discussion with me, Seth and
some special guests.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
We will breakdown who is the greatest of their air
and all the categories that you care about like clutch shooter, lockdown,
defender and one on one score. I think it needs
to be some guidelines when it comes to these debates nowadays.
Now it's your arguing somebody in the two thousands is
better than somebody in the sixties. Everything changes, the rules,
team style of play, everything changes. So it needs to

(00:48):
be some parameters so we can really define who's the
best of the air.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
We don't get the Lebron's or the Kobe's without Michael Jordan.
We don't get Michael Jordan without the David Thompson's and
the Marcus Johnson. So the same way we don't get
you and your brother without your dad. You know what
I mean?

Speaker 2 (01:02):
Literally, Trey, what category are you most excited to talk
about them?

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Debate? Man? I'm excited to talk about shooters man nineties
and two thousands and twenty tens. You know, because you
come from a shooter's family. So I want to see
if you're gonna be biased or keep it at buck.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
You got to heal you you wanna die on?

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Man? My heel that I probably would die on is
Kobe Bryant is the second best player of all time
in NBA history.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Ooh, that's spicy. We're gonna get into that. I don't
got Kobe in my top five, so I can't wait
to get into that. Out.

Speaker 1 (01:36):
See, now the skoll level is up.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Me being from the East Coast, you being from the
West Coast. I think we have different opinions on what's
the mecca of basketball where the best players come from.
You're gonna say the Cali, Yes, the West Coast. I'm
riding with the Tobacco Road every day.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
If I had to pick one player in the history
of the game, really for one season, to give me buckets.
I'm picking Chase some Grady over everybody, straight, buckets straight.
I got some people in my life, some family that
will fight me over that opinion for sure. For sure,
I'm excited. This is what we do on a daily basis,
my family, my friends, the homies. We chop it up,
we argue sports. This is the best place to do it.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
