review and follow the show wherever you are listening. All right,
some Minnesota Vikings topics are coming up, but I saw
the most. I don't know what word to even use
obscene video. That'd be a little too far. Anyways, watch
(00:58):
the video for yourself and try to get through it
without laughing deeply or hard inside and outside, Black.
Speaker 3 (01:11):
And Indigenous people of color, Black and Indigenous people.

We all have a place in listeners.
Speaker 2 (02:03):
All right. Let me try.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
Sam Donalder Cousins, Sam bra Hedford, Teddy Bridgewater, Curas punder
Bred of Randald cutting up. Don't forget Gary Underson's Miss
(02:27):
Gold in nineteen ninety, don't forget Blair watches Miss Gold
in twenty something from twenty seven yards. They all have
a place said the minnesotaa King's history for good Hellions,
(02:48):
they have a place in the Minnesota King's history. I'm still.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
How can someone get through the video and actually be
serious about that? First of all, all of my standards
are held to biblical standards, So trans by lesbian, Okay,
we're all fall short, we're all needed, we all need
to repent of our sins to our Lord Jesus Christ.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
But to say that they should be that, it's not accurate.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
And so anyways, I saw that video and I saw
this person like getting really into it and even doing
the beat on their chest, and anyways, I don't know
how someone was seriously getting through that video. All Right,
we got some good Minnesota Vikings content though, if you're
still with me following that excellent vocal song by whoever
(03:50):
that was, and by myself.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
All right, one.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Of the things I wanted to talk about this morning,
looks like some Minnesota Vikings are out for awards, But
there is a mind numbing statistic that was released by
the NFL on cbs X account.
Speaker 2 (04:09):
And it might make you really really.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
Question your own personal opinion about the NFL and the
Minnesota Vikings.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
So the first thing I wanted to.
Speaker 1 (04:31):
Touch on is the awards real quick, and then we'll
get to my main point of toppic of conversation. Kevin
O'Connell is a finalist for AP Coach of the Year.
Sam Donald is a finalist for AP Comeback Player of
the Year. Brian Flores a finalist for AP Assistant Coach
of the Year. Winners will be announced on February sixth.
(04:52):
It appears that Kevin O'Connell's going to win Coach of
the Year. As far as Sam Donald goes, I have
no idea because before the year they said that they
were changing the standard of how you win AP Comeback
Player of the Year. In years prior, Sam Donald would
have been hands down the pick in selection to win
(05:13):
this award because of what he's been through in his
entire career, because of the journey, and because of what
he did with the Minnesota Vikings this past year. There's
nobody that went from bottom feet are in the league.
To getting a big payday this offseason as much as
(05:37):
Sam Donald did and then Brian Flores finals for AP
Assistant Coach of the Year seems well deserved. The Minnesota
Vikings had a good defense this year and it seems
like he's not going anywhere either, which is also a
good thing for the Minnesota Vikings. But let's advance to
a further discussion about this mind blowings to two that's
(06:00):
going to make you question your own beliefs.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
About the Minnesota Vikings and the NFL. Here we go.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
This was released by Dov Kleinman, but it was shared
by NFL on CBS. Says penalties called on opponents regular
season since twenty twenty two, so the amount of penalties
called on the other team during a football game. And
(06:31):
this is all about the NFL officiating throwing flags during
the course of a football game on the opposing team.
So if the Vikers were playing the Packers, this is
the amount of flags that the officials threw against the
Packers instead of the Vikings. All right, the Minnesota Vikings
(06:55):
are first on the board with three hundred and sixty three.
These are penalties called against opponents regular season since twenty
twenty two. The next closest on the list is Dallas
(07:15):
Cowboys at three hundred and thirty four, So the Minnesota
Vikings practically are in favor of thirty more penalties called
AGAs to the other team than themselves. And the reason
(07:37):
why this was shared and looked at as much as
it was is because of the Kansas City Chiefs penalties
called on opponents regular season since twenty twenty two, the
Chiefs are on the bottom end of the spectrum at
two hundred and seventy eight. So the whole NFL is
rigged towards the Chiefs. The whole NFL is rigged towards
Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid succeeding in the league seems
(08:00):
to be debunked by this graphic released by the NFL
and CBS. Now, the problem people have with Patrick Mahomes
and the Chiefs is that there are certainly plays throughout
the regular season and playoffs that favor the Chiefs. My
(08:23):
brother also told me that betting lines change based on
the Chiefs because they know that the NFL officials favor
them in big moments, and we saw throughout the regular season.
There's plenty of videos there's a video where the Las
(08:44):
Vegas Raiders at the end of the year fumbled the
snap and they're in field goal range, ready to win
the game. The official calls on the top of the screen,
you can see it. The official calls a false start
on the Raiders, and somehow that penalty just goes away.
The Chiefs get the ball, they kneel, they win. The
hits on Patrick Mahomes, I don't quite understand why the
(09:07):
hit where he slide, where he slid and then was
knocked in the head. I don't understand why that was
a controversial penalty, But we have seen many controversial penalties
where he's running out of bounds and he was still
in bounce, got hit fifteen yard penalty. That seems a
little far fetched. That one seems to be the wrong call.
(09:30):
But this is a Vikings podcast. Any conclusions that you've
had before of the NFL being rigged, of the NFL
officiating hating the Minnesota Vikings, of the Minnesota Vikings have
so much to overcome because it's fifteen out of eleven
out there, they have four more players on their team
(09:52):
because they have the NFL officiating on their side.
Speaker 2 (09:56):
The Minnesota Vikings.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
Get the the favor of more calls than any team
in the NFL, and it's not close.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
So any conclusions that you.
Speaker 1 (10:12):
Had about the NFL hating the Minnesota Vikings or the
Minnesota Vikings, oh it was impossible for them to win
because the NFL has it out for.
Speaker 2 (10:21):
Them, is wrong.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
And maybe the Minnesota Vikings got a bad call here
or a bad call there, and those are the ones
you remember. You remember the Sam Donald face mask against
the Rams. You remember the Sam Donald face mask against
whoever it was. I can't remember. He had another one
in there that wasn't called, maybe the Jaguars. But what
(10:46):
you don't remember is the late hit, not late hit,
the clean hit on Jordan Addison against the Tennessee Titans
that got thrown as a defenseless receiver on fourth and goal,
and the Minnesota Vikings punched it in from the one
(11:07):
change with the course of the game. Those are the
calls you don't remember because they went for your team
and you want to play victimhood.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
Oh my god, my world's so hard. I just can't win.
The NFL officiating hates us.
Speaker 1 (11:26):
What In reality, the Minnesota Vikings have been the recipient
of favorable calls, and it's not particularly close. Three hundred
and sixty three and the next closest is three hundred
(11:50):
and thirty four. That is ridiculously crazy. And I'm just
sharing the information. That's what it says. CBS Sports or
released the graphic. So next time you get this idea
in your head that the NFL is out to get
the Minnesota Vikings, think about that graphic. Think about the
(12:13):
calls the Minnesota Vikings have received. No one wants to
talk about those. No one wants to throw their arms
up about those calls. No one wants to share on
their social media channels how rigged the NFL is when
the Minnesota Vikings are in a position to get a call.
(12:34):
But that's Minnesota Vikings sports fans for you. That's any
sports fan. Every sports fans thinks they're the victim of
poor NFL officiating or NBA officiating. Every single sports fan
and player two players think that too. Like Anthony Edwards
are the Timberwolves. He thinks he's a victim of poor
NBA officiating. That's not true. And there is so much
(12:58):
butchering of aficial across all leagues because a guy makes
one mistake.
Speaker 2 (13:05):
And has posted all over the internet.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
And the problem with that is guys can't officiate like
regular people can't officiate, and they're over here judging based
on slow instant replay. Guys that have been officiating for
twenty thirty years.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
And I've been there.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
I've been official for basketball for I've done it for
a little bit now, but before that, I was an
official for basketball for like fifteen ten to fifteen years
AU and AMLS High school. I've been in a I
did some college games, so I've been an official. I've
(13:50):
been around the block and basketball. And what's so funny
is that you get these guys that complain about officials
is a great example. You get guys that complain about
the fishing.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
Oh, it's terrible call.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
You don't know what we're doing, and then you put
them in an officiating role because ena murals, they'll take
anybody to be a ref. But you're looking at like
a four time in a mural championship ref right here.
Championship games, they bring in the big guns. They know
who to call. They call me a championship a ref.
But the point is you bring in uh and a
(14:29):
guy that plays basketball, and you put them in at
as an intermural ref and he's never done it before.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
They have no clue what they're doing.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
They can't see the court, they don't know what they're
looking at. And it's so funny because they were just
complaining to me about a miscall. You put them in
the same position and you watch what they do. They
don't know how to hold their hand up, they don't
know how to call a foul.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
They don't know what a foul is.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
And I just want to offend officials across sports because
there's a tendency right now from every or most sports fans,
most organizations to point the finger at them and say.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
You screwed me over, you blew it.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
And even Brett Favre in two thousand and nine bounty
Gate the Minnesota Vikings. There were some bad calls, but
what ultimately lost of that game was Brett Favre throwing
across his body and not throwing to Bernard Berrian. Bernard
bear is wide open five yards, could have ran for
five yards. Throws across his body. The Sydney Rice gets
(15:39):
picked up by Tracy Porter. Was that the officials fault?
We want to point to bounty Gate, We want to
say how unfair it was that ben leeber passing inference
wasn't passing adference, and I would agree with that, But
what about all the fumbles and the Brett Farva interception.
Speaker 2 (15:55):
Can't you take responsibility? That's what a man does.
Speaker 1 (15:59):
Tough people take responsibility for their own failures and mistakes.
People don't want to do that. They're like, they want
to they want to play the victim card. But based
on the facts and stats that have shared with you today,
the Minnesota Vikings are not victims. In fact, teams that
play against the Minnesota Vikings have been the recipient of
(16:23):
not getting the call. So anyways, just wanting to share
that graph to make it think a little bit this morning,
make it think about your own conclusions and thoughts about
the NFL and the Minnesota Vikings,
