Speaker 2 (00:38):
This is the Jody Jones Show on Fourtom ninety six seven.
And Hey, I'm fourteen hundred Hello and.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Good afternoon, and welcome to the Jody Jones Show. I'm
Jody Jones with Frank Van Lanningham.

Speaker 4 (00:50):
Hey guys, what's up.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Frank is on vacation right now, so he's so dedicated
to this show. He said, No, I still want to
do the show. I'll call in so.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
I would rather be talking to you guys than talking
to anybody in the world this, I promise you that,
and especially I don't know. Santa Cruz is a beautiful place.
The hills here, gorgeous, people are kind of wacky. Place
is awesome.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Hey, you had a dinner on the Fisherman's wharf last.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
Night, right, Yeah, Gildo's on the wharf.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
Yeah. Nice.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
I used to live up here for a brief period
of time, but every night we would eat on the wharf.
And you can't beat it. You're sitting on a pier
watching the sailboats. They were having a regatta, like a race.
So we're watching the sailboats race while we're having prime rib.
The wife's having a couple of cocktails. We had appetizers.
It was magical.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
Nice. So where you actually staying.

Speaker 4 (01:43):
We're standing in a little town called Felton, Beautiful, about
eight or nine miles up the Highway nine. You know,
if you're in Santa Cruz, which is a little beach
town with a boardwalk, there are two highways that go
up into the hills. They parallel each other and kind
of like the five and the ninety nine. Okay, the
nine is a twisty, windy, old school kind of a
logging road that goes up into the hills. That's the

(02:05):
one we're on. The other is the seventeen. It's basically
like God took the lawnmower and cut a swath from
Santa Cruz over the hill drops into San Jose.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
Hey, what train did you do? You rode a train?

Speaker 4 (02:17):
Or I did? It was the Roaring Railroad they call it.
It's really cool. It's going to cost about forty bucks
a person. And Roaring Railroad is a narrow gage train,
one of the oldest. It's over one hundred years old.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
The actual train, it's a steam locomotive. They used to
run on wood or coal, where they'd have a fireman
doing that. Nowadays it runs on recycled motor oil. Show.
All the eco grooviies here would probably cringe. I'm sure
Greta would be freaking out if she knew.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
I mean, I've seen the pictures on your social media
and it just looked like a blast Banos.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
You know, camping is wonderful. My wife loves camping.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
Is that really camp?

Speaker 1 (02:58):
You though?

Speaker 3 (02:59):
Where you're at? I mean you're kind of like right
next to like, uh, you know, trailers at the you know,
the fifth walls and stuff, and you other are sucked
in like sardines.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
Man. Exactly, it's it's it's a very expensive version of homelessness.
And I will tell you I learned you remember the
A If A equals B, B equals C, then aqles
C and math classic. Yeah, I will tell you camping
equals homelessness. Santa Cruz equals homelessness. Therefore, Santa Cruz equals camping.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
I know we've been talking throughout the week and you
just you kind of said, hey, man, I was some
more secluded at my own home.

Speaker 4 (03:35):
I am, I am, I'm I'm hemmed in around a
bunch of people. This campground is the size of my place,
and I don't have all these humans. But it's it's
pretty cool. You know. Everybody's got their beautiful trucks, their
beautiful trailers. The kids are running around, uh, playing ball
together and frisbee and riding their scooters around. And I'm
watching the trailer next to us had a big screen

(03:58):
TV actually with a nice screen, and they were all
the kids were watching movies and doing some'mores and popcorn.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
You know, folks that there's it's a nice yeah. And
you know, I want to start with this, Frank, because
there's a whole bunch of stuff we're going to try
to cover today with you know, with the shooting in Minneapolis,
all these crazy bills in California, the crime, the National
Guards going into uh, you know, these cities. There's a
whole bunch of stuff to cover. But you know, I

(04:26):
want to start with some some good stuff. And here
in here are California. There's still a lot of beautiful
places we can go to. You know, we can we
can say how bad California is and people's moving out,
but there's still a lot of beautiful places we can
go to and enjoy.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
Oh, without a doubt. Right now, I'm I can smell
the wood fires people are cooking, and I can smell,
you know, the meat fires in the air. I'm watching
the kids play as the sun's starting to go down.
I'm watching all of this magic unfold all around me.
And it's almost like a tale of two cities. There

(05:04):
are two parallel universes going on at the same time.
Thank God, we live in central California where things are normal,
things are healthy, things are well adjusted, And I pray
to God that we don't give that up, because as
areas urbanize, they go that way. They only go in

(05:24):
one direction. They kind of like a flower, though they
will bud, they will blossom, and then they will wilty.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
It's like they become a wasteland, and an urban wasteland
is what it is.

Speaker 4 (05:38):
Well, when you pack ten million people like where I
come from in Los Angeles, when you pack ten million
people into an area like that, they almost become zoo animals.
They're completely dependent upon artificial mechanisms to keep them fed,
to keep the water coming in, the sewage going out,
to keep the transportation going. And some people would hail
that as a great accomplishment, and perhaps from their perspective

(06:03):
it is. But once you get into that world, once
you adopt that as your reality, you're now dependent on it,
and if it fails, you die.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
And so of course these people are going to vote
and demand services. Those services sustain their life. And so
I can't fault them for, you know, for wanting these things.
I used to be one of them. But now that
I'm you know, living this more natural, you know, central
Valley life, I could never go back. I could never
adapt now that I know that there's another way to live.

(06:36):
There is no way in heck that I would ever
revert to that.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
You know, Frank And and that's a good point. You know,
there's a lot of a lot of ways we can
you know, describe what's going on in California. I kind
of like the the proposed to state proposal they're going
to it's not going to we all know it's not
going to pass. But you know, I like the way

(07:03):
they separated the coastal areas from you know, the inland
because that's pretty much and and and if you think
about it, that that's that's how it's you know, plays out.
But you know, and then this jerry mandering, Uh, it's
it's already been jerry mandered so much. It's just you know,
taxation without representation. We all know that. You know. However,

(07:29):
there's a lot of good people still fighting, you know,
even here on Power Talk. You know, you me, uh,
you know, Trevor Carey on his show, Brad Maskew on
his John Gilready on his you know, and then you
know the national speakers, uh, you know, Glenn Beck, Hannity.
You know, you find it all right here on Power Talk.

(07:51):
And it's nice to you know, still be able to
you know, listen to folks that you know have the
same ideology as you. And that goes for the other
side as well. You know, they got their uh you know,
hosts and there's shows that they listen to. But that's

(08:11):
what makes America beautiful. Uh. And we can't we can't
let that, you know, be taken away from us either way.
So there's a fine line that that we live here
in America and it's all based around our republic, our constitution,
and and we have to protect that as as best
we can. And we do do a good job on that.

(08:33):
And you know, it's because it's always being it's always
under fire by you know, communists. There's really no other
way to say it, because they try to tear America
down and republic. That's how they go after the West though,
and it's it's little things like Damie Mumdami in New York.

(08:57):
He's actually the leading candidate for mayor. And you know,
here's the thing, if he does win, that's going to
crash and burn, you know. And fortunately there's gonna be
a lot of good people that is that are going
to be in the crossfires, you know, and we're gonna
have to sit there.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
You need this, Yeah, and I think it's you know,
Forrest Surrey born through fire. These redwoods they regenerate, you know,
they'll have forest fires and then they come back and
that clears out the underbrush and it starts the cycle
all over again. And it's you know, to talk about
that from a macro perspective is important because this is
the truth, this is how this works. But if you're

(09:36):
stuck in the middle of it while that is happening,
then perhaps it's not so wonderful because you're the one
getting torched and scorched. I completely agree with you, Jody,
it's important.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
You know, here's another point. Here's another point, real quick point,
and then you can you can come back to that one.
You know, and this is about crime. I call it
the weather man syndrome. You know, you have the weather man.
You're listening to the weather man and he's saying, oh,
it's sunshine out today, and you think, all right, so
you walk outside and it's raining. You know, here's the thing.

(10:13):
It's that, you know, it's not that they really lie
to you. They tell you part truth. It's kind of
like saying I didn't hit you in the face, but
they slapped you in the face. You know what I mean.

Speaker 5 (10:25):
It's it's yeah, it's it's the worst life possible is
a partial truth, because that is the most insidious where
they can, you know, tell you the truth technically, you.

Speaker 3 (10:37):
Right, It's kind of like what they're doing right now
with they being uh, you know, the Democratic governors and
the mayor's I seen a meme that had Newsome, Pritsker
and Hulk them on their pointing their finger at President
Trump basically saying, leave our crime alone, you know. And it's.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
And no matter what he does, what he does, they hate.
And they can pull these people out of a house
that they're burning in, they'd go back into the house
and burn just because they hate this guy so much.
It does not matter. It's just whatever he does, they
run to the polar opposite because it's Trump. And you know,

(11:18):
you need to be able to separate the message from
the messenger. Trump's just a messenger. He's not a perfect man.
He's not a perfect human being. He's not an angel.
He's a godsend, but he's not an angel. And he
was brought here to do a filthy job. And sometimes
when you need to do a filthy job, you need
a filthy guy to come in and do it no

(11:40):
different than you're having a Super Bowl party and the
toilet plugs up, you call the company to snake out
your drain line, and the party continues. And guess what.
All the beautiful people eating pizza talk a grip of
smack about this dirty guy that came in and unclogged
the toilet because he looked a little dirty. Laugh at him.

(12:01):
But without him, their life would be much worse.

Speaker 3 (12:04):
You know something about President Trump, He's been the same
from day one until now. If you look back and
see these politicians, these democratic politicians, they like to change
like the weather. And you know, they think that people's
not going to look back and see what they you know,

(12:27):
see what their ideology was before now, and they don't.
They forget that. There's video, there's all this stuff, and
it's like, man, what's really going on? But hey, you
know what, we're gonna take a break right now. When
we come back, we're going to finish that thought up,
and then we're going to talk about some bad stuff
that happened in Minneapolis with a ship.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
The Jody Jones Show on Power Time ninety six seven

Speaker 6 (12:52):
We'd love to welcome Mike and Amy Pam of map Auto.

and they also work on Tesla's map Botto.

Speaker 7 (13:21):
I don't have to tell you about the volatility in
the real estate market recently, but I am going to
tell you about my good buddy Jose roblaz He's a
relator right here in the valley, born and raised in
the valley. I'm amazed at the advice he's given me,
and he'll guide you through every step. And he wanted
you to know you can always get a hold of him.
The best way to wealth is through real estate. Give
my friend Jose Robliss a call today. Two eight eight

(13:43):
zero four three four. That's easy. Two eight eight zero
four three four. If you're buying or selling, Jose's with
you every step of the way. Two eight eight zero
four three four. I'm Trevor Carey and I recommend this guy.

Speaker 6 (13:57):
Hey, folks, we're talking about taxes. We're talking about money matters.
Benjamin Franklin told us a long time ago, that's the
guy on a hundred dollars bill. You can't avoid death
and taxes. Well, let me tell you something. Linda Bauer
ABC Bookkeeping and Exeter. She can help you with the
tax part. The lady's absolutely amazing. Whether it's personal or business,
taxes are her business. Let Linda Bauer mind your business.

(14:17):
That's Linda Bauer ABC Bookkeeping, a tax service in Exeter
five ninety two sixty four hundred. By the way, she's
also my account five ninety two sixty four hundred.

Speaker 2 (14:28):
The Jody Jones Show on Power Talk ninety six seven
and AM fourteen hundred.

Speaker 3 (14:34):
I'm Jody Jones with Frank Van Lanningham. Hey guys, we
were talking of talking about the politicians and how they
they don't think that we can remember what their ideology
were was in the past, and we bring back all
these videos of people like Newsom and Pelosi and Hillary Clinton,

(14:55):
and they're saying the opposite of what they're, you know,
trying to tell you right now. But if you look
at President Trump way back in the seventies and eighties.
I mean, all the shows he was on, he's saying
the same thing back then as he's saying now. You
could say a lot of things about President Trump, but
one thing you cannot say about him is he's changed

(15:19):
over the years because he's been the same guy. You
could say, you know, he's not been a nice guy
or whatever whatever you want to say. You can't say
that he has changed his political views because it's been
the same. He was rechro Democrat.

Speaker 4 (15:36):
I believe, yes he was.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
But I mean, if you look at it now, the
Democrats today are what do they call themselves, socialist Democrats?

Speaker 4 (15:44):
Trust, well, they became progressives, yes, and from progressive they
became socialist Democrats. And that's actually fun fact that was
the political party that Hitler was in was a socialist Democrats.

Speaker 3 (15:59):
A lot of people don't know that. Frank, you're right,
that's a good point.

Speaker 4 (16:02):
And now they're the Democrat. Now they're the socialist party,
and from there it'll morph to the communist party. You're
one hundred percent right. And if you go back to
even look at video clips, look at Hillary Clinton or
Kamala Harrison, Obama talking to a crowd, or even.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
Obama about immigration.

Speaker 4 (16:19):
You know, it's but yeah, but if you go back
to you put one of those people in the South,
you put Hillary or Kamala in the South, and it's hey, y'all,
y'all got to do this. And then they put them
in the black community, all of a sudden, they're speaking
the Bonys. Then you put them on the East coast
and they're speaking the King's English, and it's these people

(16:39):
are chameleons. They will say and do and be whatever
they have to say in the moment to capture that SoundBite,
and then they will be selectively edited. Unlike our show
that we just roll with it raw, this is it baby,
but these people are so scripted. And then if you
watch the news coverage that will surround it, every single

(17:01):
commentator will say the same thing. And I don't mean
the same thing generally, I mean the same thing exactly
the same phrases.

Speaker 3 (17:10):
Everything, isn't that weird? And that's just like that's strange, eerie,
and and I mean you could play them side by side,
whether it's like you know, CNN or a lot of
the local stations, they're saying the same thing man like verbatim.
It's like, what the heck? Yeah, now these people getting they.

Speaker 4 (17:28):
Need to terrify you at that point. This is now propaganda.
This is no longer news. It's information, to be sure,
it's information, but it's it's propaganda information, it's not This
is not empirical data that they're sharing with you. This
is messaging, and their messaging is on point, Jerry. Yeah,
and everything they do is scripted. And again you were

(17:50):
talking about I'm gonna go back to the jerrymandering, the redistricting,
and what is happening is they're drawing lines. Think about
this for a minute. Between Putin and Zelenski. Lines are
being drawn as we speak.

Speaker 3 (18:05):
Right.

Speaker 4 (18:06):
The difference is they're redrawing the world map through bloodshed. Right,
look at what's going on. And we're talking about a
two state solution in California. They've been talking about a
two state solution in Israel and Palestine for a very
long time as well.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
Hey, let's let's go over something really quick for everybody, Frank,
And you know about the germanderen and the redistricting. You know,
back in two thousand and eight, voters voted in the
voters first Act in two thousand and eight and not
authorized the Commission to draw the new district lines in
twenty ten.

Speaker 4 (18:40):
Yeah, every ten years after this.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
In twenty ten, the Congressional Voters First Act added the
responsibility of drawing congressional districts to the Commission. And these
were like regular voters. And you know that was in
the committee because and the reason why they did this
because they they didn't want politicians has drawn these lines
obviously for obvious reasons. That's what's going on there now.

(19:05):
That's why they say, Hey, the Democrats right now are
saying this is you know, everybody knows what's going on here.
You know, they're same as transparency. Really, when you when
you introduce a bill one day, which was literally introduced
it on a Monday, and they voted it on a Tuesday,

(19:25):
are you kidding me? And they can't tell you who,
and they can't tell you who drew up the lines,
who drew up the maps, and and well they won't
well they won't right exactly. They just like to say
leadership really because there's a lot of and then then
if you try to google it, everybody and it and
it tells you that basically, you know, Democrats. Most Democrats know,

(19:50):
all the Democrats. There was zero Republicans who want to
do this, zero, right.

Speaker 4 (19:57):
You remember this is much like COVID. They're telling us
is for your own good, in order to preserve your life, liberty,
pursue the happiness, blah blah blah, we need to suspend
the rule book so that we can protect you.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
Yeah. So I go I found good listen list. I
googled it and this is actually what it said. There's
a current effort primary primarily led by Democrats, to temporarily
overwrite temporarily yeah right, temporary override the CCRC twenty one maps.

(20:32):
The initiative is a response to redistricting efforts in other states,
which was the Texas, not other states. You know what
I mean.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
So and AI garbage you have it in garbage out?

Speaker 3 (20:44):
Yeah yeah. Won't you tell real quick about AI?

Speaker 4 (20:47):
Oh AI? Okay. I looked up this morning, you know,
I was looking at is AI liberally biased? And the
response I got was because of the intuitions, the mentality
of the programmers, it's conceivable that perhaps it might have
a slight liberal bias because of the people that actually

(21:10):
did the programming, which basically is computer talk for garbage in,
garbage out, And then I googled is being trans a
mental disorder? It's called gender dysphoria. It's been around forever.
Freud has it in the index. It's a thing. Well
guess what in twenty nineteen on the COVID time. Yeah,

(21:33):
they nope, it's not it's normal. It's normal. It's normal.
And we're now told that mental illness is normal. And
I'm reading a whole list and I share it with you.
There's like seven or eight mass shooters and they were
all trans Imagine that, and they were all on psych meds.

(21:53):
Imagine that, you know. And then they're told some people
shouldn't have guns. Well, guess what, crazy people, sit gooes
should not have weapons? Right, Tell me this isn't an indicator.

Speaker 3 (22:06):
You know, this is the whole thing about you know,
and you hear it all the time that the left
and they're pushing everything on everyone's you know, it's like
up is down, down is up? Right is wrong? You know,
wrong is right? No, it's not right is right, and
wrong is wrong. Up is up and down is down.
Period into story. There's no discussion. Stop trying to push

(22:27):
it on me. You know, all of a sudden, it
didn't change. I'm sorry, it did not change all of
a sudden.

Speaker 4 (22:35):
No, But what they're trying to do much like redistricts
redistricting part me, much like Putin is trying to do.
They're moving a comma, they're moving a parentheses, they're moving
an asterisk, they're moving a period mark this way or
that way, and they're trying to make something different by definition.

(22:58):
And as we watch them redefine congressional districts, redefine a
lot of things. And you're talking about California, how the
two state solutions and perhaps we split the state one.
They're not going to let us do it. No, it's
going to take bloodshed to do it. How is Putin
redrawing the map? And you know, I've got old globes.

(23:19):
I used to collect these things, you know, and you
could see all these old countries that used to be
that no longer. Can you hear the kids in the background.
It's the greatest sound in the world. When every time
a map is redrawn, every time a globe becomes obsolete
and a new one is produced, it's because people died.

(23:39):
It is those lines that you preserve, whether they're the border,
you know, around our country, whether it's the districts, all
of this, these were all put there in an effort
to prevent bloodshed.

Speaker 3 (23:54):
Yeah, you know you can move.

Speaker 4 (23:55):
The lines, you're going to have to kill to get
them back. You don't want to see that.

Speaker 3 (23:59):
You're right, Frank can and and it's it's it's really
sad what's going on. But you know what, again, there's
a lot of a lot of good patriots that's fighting,
you know, for the constitution. And again each side thinks
they're right. We know we're right. One side is based
on factual evidence, the other ones based on ideology stuff.

(24:21):
So you know, yeah, and feelings and and that it's
really apparent, especially when you start shooting facts at him.
And like I say, and I keep saying this all
the time. You know, a liberal liberals definition of facts
is misinformation. So but you know, there's a lot of
stuff we can cover. We just don't have the time.
We're gonna have to close up here, and uh just
a I know, I know, so my hey, next week,

(24:46):
let's I'm gonna tell him. Next week we're gonna have
Matt O'Brien on he is most recently, Yeah, potatoes, O'Brien, right, No,
he is a. He was an assistant chief Immigration judge
overseeing immigration courts in Virginia. So this is going to

(25:08):
be a really good interview. He's going to really talk
about a lot of stuff, and the big thing we're
going to talk about is the rights that these illego
aliens say that they have in the due process. So
he's going to break it down for us. That's going
to be next week, guys. Thanks for joining us again
on the Jody Jones Show. Thank you again, and God

(25:30):
bless you and God bless America.

Speaker 4 (25:32):
Thanks folks, good things in God blessed.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
See us have Matt O'Brien on he is most recently.

Speaker 4 (25:41):
Did he invent potatoes?

Speaker 3 (25:42):
O'Brien right, No, he is a. He was an assistant
chief immigration judge overseeing immigration courts in Virginia. So this
is going to be a really good interview. He's going
to really talk about a lot of stuff, and the
big thing we're going to talk about is the rights

(26:05):
that these illegal aliens say that they have in the
due process. So he's going to break it down for us.
That's going to be next week, guys. Thanks for joining
us again on the Jody Jones Show. Thank you again
and God bless you and God bless America.

Speaker 4 (26:18):
Thanks both good things in God bless see us Inaino.
