Speaker 1 (00:00):
Because it's Christmas time. We're counting down the twelve first
day follow ups of Christmas has voted on by you. Yeah,
so here's number twelve. We countdown all the way to
the number one first day follow up that you voted on.
Aaron is on the phone today for a first day
follow up, and he's getting ghosted by Monica. So we're
going to see if we can find out why and
maybe get him another date if he still wants one.

(00:21):
In a second. First, let's find out about the date, Aaron,
how long has it been since you heard from Monica?

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Hey, guys, I love the show. By the way, you
four days?

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Four days?

Speaker 3 (00:32):
So thats okay?

Speaker 1 (00:33):
Yeah, you're sure you getting ghosted?

Speaker 2 (00:36):
I think so at this point. I mean, here's the thing.
I felt like. The day went great.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
We met him mumble, I mean, like everyone, that's the
only way you can meet nowadays. But she is beautiful,
you know, she's kind of got like this I don't know,
this real like kid, you know, youthful energy to her.

Speaker 5 (00:56):
You know.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
So we were talking.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
About like Disney movies, you know, just like I'm a
big kid at heart too. I love cartoons, I love
all of that. Okay, and we went out for sushi
and she was laughing. She seemed to be having a
good time. I don't know, I really don't know. I
thought it went well. I was a gentleman, didn't try
to kiss nothing, So I yeah, I really would.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
I would love to possibly have a second date if
she is interested. And what happened. Sushi was good. Sushi
was good.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
I'm not like a huge seafood fan, but you know,
I thought it would be I don't know, something kind
of a little more interesting. But I was still pretty impressed.
And having some sake with it definitely helps. Will say that.

Speaker 5 (01:44):
So wait, you're the guy that's like, let's go to
sushi and then gets California rolls and then everything that's cooked.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
I'm strong with that. Let me just go to a
different restaurant. I don't know, or maybe you just really
like California roles.

Speaker 5 (01:57):
I'm sorry, how didn't mean to clown you right now
in here and I just that funny, No, you're good.

Speaker 2 (02:02):
I mean, I said it was just fine. It's just
I'm not a big seafood guy.

Speaker 5 (02:06):
I guess, okay, okay, is Monica a seafood goal? Was
she enjoying the sushi.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
She seemed to Yeah, she seemed to be really into it.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
And I don't know, I just thought it might be
something a little better than just taking her out for
you know, beers and burgers or something.

Speaker 6 (02:21):
You know.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Sure, did you feel like she was flirting with you?

Speaker 2 (02:24):
Yeah? Yeah, I really did.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
And like I said, even when we were like chatting,
you know, we seem to have a lot in common.
It seemed like both you know, I said, the kids
at heart. You know, I'm someone who I love to,
you know, to make my date laugh. And she definitely
seemed to be clicking.

Speaker 2 (02:42):
With my humor. So I hope there can be a
second one.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
Can I ask?

Speaker 7 (02:47):
You said you were a gentleman and that you didn't
try to kiss or anything. Now, granted I meant a
bumble not maybe that's more like a tender thing. But
could that have been what she was looking for? She
wanted more.

Speaker 5 (02:59):
Of the because bumbles when the woman reaches out to
the man. After that they after they match.

Speaker 3 (03:04):
Yeah, something like maybe she wanted more of a hook up.

Speaker 8 (03:07):
I don't think so, I'll be honest, that's that's really
what I'm looking for. I mean, again, she's she's very beautiful,
that's It's not that I'm not attracted to her, but
I am kind of more in the market, you know,
for something more long term.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Okay, But I didn't get that vibe either. I mean,
she didn't. I didn't feel like she was disappointed that
I didn't make the move.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
And there is there other than I mean, is there
anything else you can think of that might be the
reason you're getting ghosted?

Speaker 2 (03:37):
I don't know. Maybe maybe I wasn't talking enough or something.

Speaker 8 (03:41):
I I mean, that's kind of the only thing I
can think of, But she generally did. She seemed to
be laughing, she seemed to be having some fun, seemed
to be smiling a lot.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
So yeah, I really I don't know if you.

Speaker 5 (03:54):
Say you weren't talking enough, did do you mean you
just sat there and looked at her while she and
tried to tell you things, Because you know what, that
might do it for me too, because then I'd be
tired to work really hard.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
I wouldn't say that. I guess.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Here's the thing is that you know, she was telling
me about her childhood family, and you know, she's kind
of been kicking around the ideas of going back.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
To school and stuff like that, and I generally enjoyed
listening to her and then listening to what her plans were.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
So okay, that's cool. All right, well we'll see if we
figured it out for you'll play a song come back,
and then call her and see if she'll tell us
why she's ghosting you and maybe you another day if
you still want went okay, sounds great, All right, we'll
plays on come back and get your first day follow
up next. Right in the middle of your first day
follow up if you're just joining us, Aaron is on
the phone and he's getting ghosted by Monica. So we're

(04:44):
about to call her and see if she'll tell us
why she's ghosting him and maybe get him another date.
But before we do that, why don't you catch everybody up? Aaron?
What's the situation with Monica and the ghosting?

Speaker 2 (04:54):
Yes, we have been on mumble. We went out for Sushie.

Speaker 8 (04:57):
I thought at least it went really well, but I
haven't heard do anything in the past few days, and
I'm really hoping that I can possibly get a second date.

Speaker 5 (05:05):
Okay, maybe you know, go somewhere where you like the
food instead of taking her like, yeah, I'm sorry. Maybe
that's the reason you know that's kind of flaggy to me.
No offense, it's just it kind of is. So maybe
if that's it, then that it's this is savable then.

Speaker 1 (05:20):
Yeah, we'll see Aaron my collar. Are you ready?

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Let's do it?

Speaker 5 (05:24):
All?

Speaker 9 (05:24):
Right?

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Here we go. Hello, i'ms to Monica. Please, Monica, how
are you? My name is Jewbel host a radio show.
It is called The Jewel Show.

Speaker 3 (05:43):

Speaker 1 (05:52):
Yes? Yeah, listen to the show?

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Yeah I do?

Speaker 1 (05:54):
Yeah, okay, cool. How would you like to be on it?

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Well, it depends on what for.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
Let's say you were on it for the to Catch
a Cheater segment? Would you want to be on it
for that?

Speaker 9 (06:08):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (06:08):
No?

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Okay? What about a first date follow up? You know
where you go on a date with someone in then
ghosting him and we try to find out why. Oh sure, okay,
cool works perfectly then, because that's what this is.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Wow, Okay, do you know who you're ghosting? Monica?

Speaker 2 (06:28):
I have a feeling is that Aaron?

Speaker 8 (06:31):
Yes?

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Are you ghosting Aaron? Because it's only been a couple
of days. But he's pretty sure you're ghosting him.

Speaker 6 (06:38):
Uh, I'm not purposely ghosting him, but I guess it has.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
Been sort of happening.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
Yes, why.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Okay, Well we were.

Speaker 9 (06:50):
On our date and you know, he was really nice
and everything, but.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
He, uh, on the date, he brought a rubber fish toy.

Speaker 6 (07:00):
Kind of like a kid like a like a rubber fish,
like the kind of like a kid would play with
like in a bathtub.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
He called it. He called it.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Slippy fun.

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Okay, he named it Flippy.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Yeah, yeah, he had was like I don't.

Speaker 6 (07:17):
Know he he introduced Slippy in the beginning and like
put it on the bar next to his beer. And
I thought it was just like him being silly at first,
like oh he's playful. Okay, you know we're at.

Speaker 9 (07:28):
Sushi, like I'm going to bring this like rubber fish.
I guess it was a weird.

Speaker 2 (07:33):
Whatever, but he like he just kept referencing Slippy and
like talking to Slippy throughout the evening and like, yeah,
I didn't, like I didn't want to.

Speaker 9 (07:43):
Be meet, but I would like call him out because.

Speaker 5 (07:46):
It was like it was like a getting stressed out
watching everybody eat it's friend.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Yeah, I.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Fish.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
It was just kind of weird.

Speaker 3 (07:57):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
It was just a little weird and very uncomfortable. Yeah,
I guess I kind of him.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Did it look like he brings Flippy with him everywhere?

Speaker 2 (08:06):
That's what I would gather. Yeah, like it was like
his like, Pale, that's.

Speaker 5 (08:11):
Really nice of you to just kind of understand that
some people have like nerves and the anxiety and maybe
Flippy is his friend. I don't know how I would
handle that. Actually, that's a really interesting situation, Monica.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Yeah, it was.

Speaker 9 (08:25):
I don't know.

Speaker 6 (08:25):
It was like, you know, playful, but maybe not exactly
you know, my vibe.

Speaker 9 (08:31):
So I was just like maybe wait, you know, I
don't know.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
It was so weird.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
Did like at the end of the day, did like
the three you guys hug it out together or did
you get a separate hug from Flippy?

Speaker 2 (08:44):
It did feel like he was like a third whale.

Speaker 5 (08:47):
Was like, oh wow, okay, outside of Flippy, Monica.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
How is the date?

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Outside of that? It was fun. Outside of that, it
was like, you know, well, I think.

Speaker 6 (09:00):
About it wrap we're playful, like we're both kind of
like dorky in a fun away, you.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Know, so I think it outside of that it was
it was fun. It was just the boy.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
Okay, well, thank you for telling us and being honest
with us.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Yeah, just so crazy.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
I'll be honest with you now too. Aaron is on
the phone. He's been listening this whole time. I don't
know if Flippy is with him, but he doesn't want
to talk to you.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Oh wow there, Okay, no Flippy. Flippy is not here.
He had a doctor's appointment. I'm kidding. I'm kidding a hi, ern.

Speaker 8 (09:41):
Listen, I'm sorry. I sometimes ask my friends. I sometimes
have a weird sense of humor. And I know that
you were telling me that you know, you love to
talk to your.

Speaker 2 (09:51):
Cats a lot, and so I just I don't want
to be pets. And it was dumb. I thought that.

Speaker 9 (09:56):
I thought it would just.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Be kind of like a fun little icebreaker. I didn't
mean for it be that weird. I do not bring
Slippy with me or sleep with him or anything like that.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Well, I hope you not sleep with if you're trying
to date other people date.

Speaker 9 (10:18):
Okay, I like cat, I did tell on my head,
you know, like a lie.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
You know, I don't know, Yes it's.

Speaker 9 (10:27):
True, but.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
Hey, I mean, listener, cat's are great listeners. Nothing wrong,
kind of again I was, it was just.

Speaker 8 (10:37):
Kind of meant as a silly, dumb joked an icebreaker.

Speaker 2 (10:42):
I really do have a great time though, So if
you are up to it, and I promise Slippy will
be in no way coming to the date, maybe we.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
Could try Monica, would you like to go out with
Aaron again? We'll pay for it.

Speaker 2 (10:58):
Oh that's nice. Yeah, I mean yeah, I.

Speaker 6 (11:02):
Just like stuffed animals either like notping, you know, just us,
and then I'd be down that.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
But that's kind of cool.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (11:13):
No, listen, I Flippy. You said he's already starting to
see someone else. Just let me know, and you'd like
to go out again?

Speaker 6 (11:24):
Okay, Yeah, Well I'm glad we got that out of
the way because I did like you.
