Speaker 1 (00:00):
First Day to follow Up powered by the Advocates Injury
Attorneys online at advocuslaw dot com.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Hazel is on the phone today for our first Day
follow up, and she's getting ghosted by a guy named Trent.
So in a few minutes we'll call him and see
if he'll tell us why he's ghostinger and maybe get
her a second date. But first, Hazel, how long has
it been since you heard from Trent.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
It's been about a week, which is like killing me.

Speaker 4 (00:22):
It's been so long.

Speaker 5 (00:24):
When was the last time you reached out?

Speaker 4 (00:26):
I texted him yesterday, which I was like, I wish
I hadn't I So for our date we went to
a Saulsonite and so yesterday I texted him, I'm still
waiting for our next dance. And then I heard nothing,
and I was like all night, I was like.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Ours it is always cute what you said anyway, I.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
Thought, so yeah, yeah, it was an amazing date, Like
it was so fun. He planned it and he's like
an amazing dancer. So we went to the Sultanite and
it was like there was like music and great lights,
and he was to teach me some moves and I'm
not a dancer or a mover and so I failed spectacularly.
But I feel like it was an amazing date because

(01:08):
he was so he had such a good sense of
humor about it, and we were laughing about the fact
that I was not a graceful dancer, and like we
were laughing toward my stomach hurt, which I just feel
like is such a good sign on the first date,
you know for sure?

Speaker 5 (01:21):
What else did you guys do?

Speaker 3 (01:23):
Well? Okay?

Speaker 4 (01:24):
So then after okay, so all the like first dances happened,
like with like the teacher and stuff, and then they
played some slower songs, and then during the slower songs,
he was like holding me very close, which I appreciated
more than I can say.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
At the end of the night, he did kiss me, and.

Speaker 4 (01:42):
It was like not just like you know, I feel
like I've been going on these days lightly on hinte
where it's like these kisses are so weird at the
end of the night and this is like a movie kiss,
you know, and I like keep replaying in my head.
It was so good and so I'm just like, wait,
where is he Like I just I'm like I wasn't
lying to myself, like the chemistry was there it was
so fun.

Speaker 5 (02:01):
Okay, what could have gone wrong?

Speaker 3 (02:03):
I know.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
I mean that's what I've been like, ah, God, like
spiraling out about. I feel like I've been like thinking
over our whole conversation through the whole night, and I
feel like at one point, like we were just talking
about like values and stuff, and I said, I like
don't believe in marriage, but he seemed like so fine
about that. But I'm like maybe that threw him off.
I don't like, at the end of the night, he
I like went to kiss him again after our first kiss,

(02:25):
and he like turned his head and got the cheek
and I was.

Speaker 5 (02:29):
Like, oh my gosh.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
So I was like something I knew at the end
of the night, like maybe something.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
Was off, but but also like everything else was like
so fun that I just thought that I'm not crazy,
Like that was an amazing day, right.

Speaker 5 (02:41):
So something changed, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
Something changed, And I'm like, and I have no idea
what it is because everything, I mean, he's like so
great and like he's stupid handsome, and you know, I
just I was like, he's really charming, but not like
an overly like performative way. He was just like.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
Everything we revived, like we'd known.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
Each other for a really long time, and I just
felt like I wasn't lying to myself.

Speaker 5 (03:05):
I don't think.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Yeah, well that's what makes it so weird. Would jubile
on like a first date? If somebody tells you that
they don't believe a marriage and that's something that you
want in your life, are you going to bow out
after one?

Speaker 6 (03:16):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (03:16):
Probably if like.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
I wanted to be, if I wanted marriage and they
said they weren't down with it, probably I probably wouldn't
waste my time with another date. So oh, it could
be the reason why Well yeah, I know. I mean
that's what I'm looking for, you know, why waste my time? Okay,
well we'll see if that is it. We'll play a
song come back, and then call him and see if
he'll tell us why he's ghosting you and maybe get
you another date.

Speaker 5 (03:36):
Okay, okay, perfect, thank you? All right, we'll get your
first date follow up next.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
Right in the middle of your first date follow up
and if you're just joining us, Hazel is on the phone,
and Hazel is getting ghosted by a guy named Trent.
So we're about to call him and see if he'll
tell us why he is Ghostinger and maybe get her
a second date. But before we do that, Hazel, why
don't you refresh our memory on.

Speaker 5 (03:58):
Your date real quick?

Speaker 4 (03:59):
Okay, Trent and I went to a Salton night. We
had an amazing time. He's an amazing dancer.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
I am not.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
However, I feel like we were laughing all night. We
shared like a spectacular kiss. And now I haven't heard
from him in a week. I think maybe it's because
I said that I don't believe in marriage, but at
the time you can find about that. So I'm a
little bit unsure about why he hasn't texted me back.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
I mean, I guess after our first date it's a compliment,
no matter what if that is what it is, because
it's like I can see your's wifey and she.

Speaker 5 (04:26):
Doesn't want to get married.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
Bye.

Speaker 5 (04:29):
Maybe all right, are you ready for us to call him? Yes?

Speaker 3 (04:33):
Thank you?

Speaker 5 (04:34):
All right? Here we go.

Speaker 3 (04:44):
Hello him?

Speaker 5 (04:45):
Ma, ask weeak to Trent? Please?

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Yeah? It was what was calling?

Speaker 5 (04:49):
Hey Trent? How are you? This is the Jebil Show.
It's a radio show. What's up, Trent? I'm Nina, Hi
am Victoria Radio and I'm Jewel. How are you? Yeah,
it's a radio show. Have you ever heard of it?

Speaker 4 (05:01):
No?

Speaker 5 (05:01):
Okay, well I'll tell you. It's called the Jubil Show.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
It's a radio show and we do a segment on
our show where if you go out on a date
with somebody and you end up ghosting them, that person
can ask us to get you on the phone and
ask why. It's called the first Date follow up. And
we got an email about you from somebody. Oh, okay,
are you ghosting anybody right now?

Speaker 3 (05:22):
This has gotta be about Hazel? Yeah, it has to be.

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Yes, it is. It is about Hazel. So Hazel emailed us.
We talked to her about your date. Sounded really great,
sounded like you liked her, She liked you a lot.

Speaker 5 (05:35):
Had a hot kiss. Ye would you mind telling us
why you're a ghostinger?

Speaker 7 (05:39):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (05:40):
Man, don't get me wrong. We had an outstanding time bett.

Speaker 7 (05:45):
To be honest, it was something else like we had
this amazing dance teacher and it was just like Hazel
was like infatuated with her.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
She kept telling me how beautiful she was, and she kept.

Speaker 7 (06:00):
Like gawking at her, and she's like she gives me butterflies,
And I was like, what is this?

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Like just threw me off.

Speaker 7 (06:08):
It felt like she was like into women. I mean,
I don't know that I'm ready for anything like that.
And it was I'm just confused, Like I thought she
was way into this girl.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Okay, So you thought that Hazel was more into the
dance instructor than you on the date.

Speaker 5 (06:23):
Is that why you're ghostinger?

Speaker 7 (06:25):
She was definitely into me, but she was definitely onto
the dance instructor, like in a way I've never seen before,
Like I like when a girl looks at me the
way she looked at the dance instructor.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
So I was just confused, do you feel me?

Speaker 5 (06:38):
Okay? And that's the reason you're not calling her back.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
Yeah, but you didn't.

Speaker 5 (06:43):
Think like maybe go out there again and try to
figure it out or ask her.

Speaker 7 (06:48):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
It just threw me off, you know, and you just.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Thought it was easier just to like walk away from
the whole thing exactly.

Speaker 5 (06:55):
All right, Well, thanks for being honest with us, Trent.
And Trent.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
Now let you know that Hazel is actually on the
phone listening and wants to talk to you.

Speaker 4 (07:03):
Oh my gosh, I okay, wait shun, I am I
allowed to talk now?

Speaker 5 (07:11):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (07:12):
Okay, I Trent, No, I can't believe that's the reason
we had an amazing date that was like the most
fun I've had on a first date in so long.
And I like, you're ghosting me because I admired our
dance teacher.

Speaker 3 (07:26):
No, really, like I do not like women like that. Okay.

Speaker 7 (07:33):
I wasn't trying to be judgment or anything. It's just
I don't know some some women are into.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
Women like that. No, I mean I like love women.

Speaker 4 (07:40):
I think they're like incredible, like beautiful creatures. And our
dance teacher was like an amazing woman, Like she's like
graceful and strong and like stunning.

Speaker 6 (07:50):
But that sounds like you see how she's describing her now,
But yeah, yeah, I just had never seen me another woman.

Speaker 4 (08:01):
But I'm like I was like excited by her because
I was like, oh my god, Like when I said
the thing about butterflies, that was like I'm having butterflies
out watching her dance because I was so excited, like
about the idea that like, oh my god, like what
if one day I could dance like that and like
dance You're such a good dancer.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
I was like, maybe one day I'll be like her.

Speaker 4 (08:19):
And I was so excited about you and like the
idea of dancing with you.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Well, Trent, would you like to go out with Hazel
on another day? We'll pay for it?

Speaker 7 (08:29):
You know that that would be great, But right now
I have to decline.

Speaker 5 (08:33):
Really why?

Speaker 7 (08:35):
Well, you see, the thing is with that dance teacher.
I kind of asked her out and we're going out.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Are you serious? You did say she was so beautiful?

Speaker 7 (08:50):
I mean I think I was into her just as
much as you were.

Speaker 4 (08:53):
When did you even talk to her like they slid
into our dms after our date?

Speaker 3 (08:58):
No?

Speaker 7 (08:59):
No, after that weird little kiss you gave me at
the end and went off, I went back and you know,
we started talking and we had a little heart to
heart and that just one thing led to another, and
I asked her out and here we are.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
Huh wow, wow, wow, Tread. I mean, I'm not gonna
lie that this hurts, but well, she's giving.

Speaker 3 (09:24):
Me butterflies now, so.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
Okay, wow, okay, Well, I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
This definitely hurts, but I agree that she was an
amazing woman.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
At least someone is going out with her, So Tread,
that's select to both of you.

Speaker 5 (09:41):
Honestly, man, where do you guys take these dands. I'm
Dying to Know You was first date to follow up
