Speaker 1 (00:00):
First Day follow Up powered by the Advocates Injury Attorneys
online at Advocates Law dot com.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Josh is on the phone today for a first day
follow up and he's getting ghosted by Terren. So in
a second we're gonna call her and see if she'll
tell us why she's ghosting him and maybe get him
another day. But first, Josh, how long has evinces you
heard from Terran?

Speaker 3 (00:18):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (00:18):
Man, it takes me like six days?

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Hello, when they are at the exact number, I know
you're feeling that Verson if you're saying it was six days.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Did you try to reach out to her in that time?

Speaker 3 (00:28):
I did.

Speaker 4 (00:29):
I tried sending text messages. I've only called her one time,
you know, because I don't want to see like creep. Sure,
but nothing, no response, no like on the text messages.
You know, we have iPhones, so she used to have
the red you know, settings on, but I don't know
if she just took them off. But I don't really
know what's going on.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Well, what happened? I tell us about the day first?

Speaker 4 (00:50):
All right, So as long as we're sure. You know,
we're on the same softball team, and you know, after
practice last week I offered to give her a ride home.
And just so you know, guys, it's always been some
sort of flirty tension. Like she literally winked at me
during like batting practice. So I see her looking at me,
and we always do lock eyes. We kind of laughed
to each other and you know, always talking. Everything is

(01:10):
going good, and so I told her we can hang
out my place, have a beer, maybe chill a bit,
and she said yes very quickly. So I took that
as like a green light to you know, let's hang
out at my place.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
But here's the thing, So my apartment isn't great right now.
And I pretty much told her that. I gave her
a full disclaimer. I literally told her, I said, hey,
it's gonna look like one of those post apocalyptic episodes
of Orders. What you guys said, shows.

Speaker 5 (01:39):
No, okay, Yeah, so she said, she said she didn't
care and quote unquote, I'm not precious, she said. And
and so, you know, it's just I don't know, it
just was weird, Like, you know, she came over, we
were hanging out and all that.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Good stuff, and I just don't get it, you know,
it just we were having a good time and then
she eves and now I had getting no response from her,
and we were laughing. It was like one of those
random dates at my place.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
You know.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
It wasn't planned, it wasn't spontaneous. We just went over.
I had a movie plane, you know, I had chips
and stuff. So everything seemed to be going really good.

Speaker 3 (02:17):
I just like, I don't know, I don't know what
it is.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
You don't know, you don't know at all, Washington, if
you're ghosting you.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
I mean, I hope it's not like you know, my
house by the way, it was a huge mess. I
mean that that would suck. But yeah, I mean it's
just yeah, it just sucks because I really like her,
and I haven't told her that I like her yet.
I just I know that she likes me as well,
you know, So how do you know? I mean, she
came over my place. You know, Usually we always go,

(02:45):
you know, with a team, you know, to get some
sports bar or something like that. Usually we see each
other like in a group setting. But when I kind
of just casually asked her age to want to go
over my place and she said yes right away, I
kind of thought at that moment, Okay, I think this
is going to maybe the next level wherever this may be.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
How messy was your place? Though?

Speaker 1 (03:05):
You say that she warned her, and you said post apocalyptic,
but like, are we talking about like mold on.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Things, whoa like like kitty litter on the floor.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Well, you guys, I warned her, like iky.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
That's when you don't invite somebody to your house.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
I mean, I don't know, I just it wasn't like
I told her, hey, come see my pristine love. You
know I didn't. I didn't make it seem like it
was all something else. But yeah, total frad house. You know,
I'm gonna be honest with you. And she even, by
the way, when she came in, she kind of like
looked around and I said, I'm so sorry. You know,
I know it's a mess, and she said, no, don't worry.
I appreciate your honesty. And she even joked about it.

(03:47):
And she even told me how messy her car was. Okay,
so now did I think about it. I did have
a box of pizza out from last week.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
I feel like this whole conversation started with the big
red flag, and you keep making it sound so sweet
by saying but I told her though, like yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:05):
Anyway, with so much I mean, look, if it's the
if it's my hideous apartment, you know, everything pretty much
like you know, messy everywhere, the pizza boxes and the
you know I had like datory bottles.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
It's that, Josh, then that's.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
Gonna be horrible. You know, that's gonna be like the
worst of the worst. Why would ghost?

Speaker 2 (04:23):
All right, well, we'll see if we can figure it out.
We'll play a song, come back, and then call her
and see if she tell us why she's ghosting you
and maybe get you another date.

Speaker 3 (04:31):
Okay, all right.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
We'll get your first day follow up next. Right in
the middle of your first day follow up, if you're
just joining us, Josh is on the phone and he's
getting ghosted by Terrence. So we're about to call her
and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting and
maybe get him a second date. Before we do that, though, Josh,
why don't you catch us up on your situation again
real quick?

Speaker 4 (04:50):
Yeah, everything was going great. You went back to my
place after practice, you know, we had some some lunch
there watching TV, and she just ghosted me. She left,
And I think that, I mean, I don't know. I
think it's the pizza boxes guys. I mean, I don't know.
Maybe the gator at Bottles. I don't know. It was messy.
I told her that my place was a little messy,
said she liked my honesty. So that's where we're at.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
We'll see if that is it. Are you ready for
us to call her?

Speaker 4 (05:20):
Are you guys gonna tell him on the phone or not?

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Or just do?

Speaker 4 (05:22):
I say?

Speaker 3 (05:22):
Quiet?

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Well, you can stay quiet at first. Eventually we'll tell her.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
All right, all right, here I go, Hello.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
Him speaking Aryan. Please, this is she Tarren? How are you?
This is a radio show. It's called The Jewel Show. Hi, Tarn,
I'm Nina. Hi, I'm Victoria and my name is Jewell.
How are you?

Speaker 4 (05:58):
Wait?

Speaker 2 (05:59):
What what is the It's a radio show called the
Jewbile Show.

Speaker 6 (06:04):
Like, I'm confused, I haven't like, why.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Are you calling me? Well, we're calling you because we
actually got an email about you.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
It's from somebody who listens to the show, and we
do a segment on a show that's called the First
Date follow Up. That's where if you go on a
date with somebody and then you end up ghosting them,
that person can email us to ask you why you're
ghosting them, and we got to email about you from
somebody that calling back.

Speaker 6 (06:32):
I'm sorry, Oh no, like this this isn't real, right,
Like this is a joke.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
Are you joking?

Speaker 2 (06:38):
No, it's not a joke. Who are you ghosting?

Speaker 3 (06:42):
Oh my god?

Speaker 4 (06:44):
Is it Josh?

Speaker 2 (06:46):
Yes, it is Josh. Josh emailed us. He told us
a little bit about your date, and he's confused. He
said he really liked you and he thought you were
into me. He wantn't know why you're ghosting.

Speaker 6 (06:54):
Him, honestly, I mean, if he really wants to know,
I'm ghosting him because he's a man slainer, like an
aggressive manslainer. Like on the date, like things would be
like going fine, and he would literally pause what we're
doing to explain something to me, and like not things

(07:15):
that are like I don't know what they are. Oh
that might be interesting, but like basic things like at
one point we're making out and he literally paused to say,
you know, physical chemistry is just the result of electrical
signals in the brain, and and.

Speaker 7 (07:31):
I'm like, why why are you interrupting us making out
to tell me about this like read the room, dude.

Speaker 4 (07:42):
Okay, Well, then he explained to me the rules of
softball to me.

Speaker 6 (07:47):
Me, I've played for ten years and I'm literally our
team shortstop. I'm sorry, but like, there's no excuse for this.
He she told me why the glove is shaped the
way it is, Like I'm a freaking top. Oh okay,
really she's hot, like like ridiculously hot, like extremely freaking hot.
That's why I was, like, you know, kind of indo

(08:08):
him at first, but and I tried to ignore it
because he's really good looking. But it's like once I've
spent time with him, and everything was just man's plain,
this man's plain.

Speaker 4 (08:18):
As I was just I couldn't put up, put up,
put up, Tarn, Tarn.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
That's Josh. He's actually on the phone, wants to talk
to you.

Speaker 8 (08:26):
Oh so, because I know things and I wanted to
share them with you. That's why you're ghosting me because
I explained stuff that's just a nerdy charm.

Speaker 4 (08:37):
I thought that was like a cute thing. I thought
you were into that stuff. Nerdy charm.

Speaker 6 (08:41):
You literally stop kissing me to break down why some
people just click, Like who does that?

Speaker 2 (08:48):
It's kind of cute.

Speaker 4 (08:49):
I was nervous. I thought I thought you were smart.
I thought you'd appreciate insight.

Speaker 6 (08:53):
Yeah, insight is when someone offers you something you didn't
already know, not when some dude explains.

Speaker 5 (08:59):
How beers curbon like a block twist.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
Maybe maybe you could have just said something instead of
just ignoring me like that. And then you know, you
calling radio like I thought you I thought you were cool.
Just man, that's just you're just like all the rest.

Speaker 6 (09:16):
Well, you know what, You're just like every guy that things.
Being condescending is a personality trait. Look, josh you're hot,
but that's not enough to say through a freaking ted
talk every.

Speaker 2 (09:26):
Time I touched your arm.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Cool?

Speaker 4 (09:30):
Okay, I understand you now, And you know I don't
date people who lie and go so you know, have
fun being you know, mediocre tarrying, have fun with that. Okay,
I thought you were I thought you were lied. I
didn't lie to you. Yeah, you know, you know this
is just I'm embarrassed, and just so what do we
do now? We just watch say hi and practice like
we know each other.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Karen, would you like another day with Joshua? Will pay
for it?

Speaker 4 (09:53):
I would love another day?

Speaker 6 (09:55):
No ifsh I'm I'm good on that. And also I'd
just like to say, nobody's toilet should look like that, Like,
get it together, John, I.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
Had told you that my apartment was messy. Okay, you
don't have to go.

Speaker 6 (10:17):
You know, I was gonna slide at first, but now
I'm not.

Speaker 2 (10:20):
It's it's it's really nasty. Like you're a grown man.

Speaker 4 (10:23):
You need you need to figure that out. Oh, you
can't hold that against me. No, no, no, thank you. No.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
Yeah. What do you guys do now for your games?
Is pretending you don't know each other? Get on another team.

Speaker 4 (10:34):
I'm open to forgetting everything about like I'm open to
forgetting this ever happened. And I'm sorry, and you know,
just it just sucks, that's all. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (10:43):
I mean I think that we were sign of practice before,
so maybe things could just go back to the way
they were.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
Pretend like you never saw a toilet.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
Oh, I'll never forget that.

Speaker 2 (10:55):
