First Day follow Up powered by the Advocates Injury Attorneys
online at advocatesla dot com.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Ryan is on the phone today for our first Day
follow up and he's getting ghosted by Morgan. So in
a few minutes we'll call her and see if she'll
tell us why she's ghosting him and maybe get him
a second date.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
But first, Ryan, how long has events had you heard
from Morgan?
Speaker 4 (00:20):
Not long about six days, but definitely like long enough
to answer a text that just says like, hey, I
had fun with you.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
You know, yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
Did you try to reach out to her a couple
of times or was that the only one you left
it there?
Speaker 4 (00:35):
No, I just said like, hey, I had a really
good time, and uh, you know, let's get together next week.
We had talked. We talked at the end of you know,
after dinner last week. So I don't know, it's just
kind of weird, that's all.
Speaker 3 (00:48):
And tell us about the date.
Speaker 4 (00:50):
Well, it's nice, it was really nice. It's actually like
it's like we kind of skipped over any kind of
like an awkward phase. It just we just sort of clicked.
We went to this little Italian restaurant, very very classic
hole in the wall got the exposed brick. Just a
really nice, nice little spot it was. It was cool,
it was chill.
Speaker 3 (01:10):
I love those places.
Speaker 4 (01:12):
Yeah, it was kind of kind of sleepy and uh
uh split a bottle of red, ordered too much pasta,
and it was nice. You know. At the Ami kissed
and it was like real. It was like a real
it was a real kiss. It wasn't like you know,
to see you later. It was it was like there's
(01:33):
something here, at least I thought there was.
Speaker 1 (01:35):
Okay, walk us had like walk us through how that happened?
Did you lean in and grab her cheek? Did she
lean in and you just turned your head?
Speaker 4 (01:42):
Like?
Speaker 3 (01:43):
How did it go down?
Speaker 4 (01:45):
I walked her, I walked her back to her car,
and you know, it just we locked eyes and it
just felt natural.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
Okay, okay, well why do you think you're getting ghosted?
Speaker 5 (01:56):
Then?
Speaker 4 (01:58):
I'm not sure. I mean, like I said things, things
seemed cool. I mean, the only thing I could think is, uh,
this place, the Italian place, it's they're like known for
their bread and apparently she had been there before, was
obsessed with the bread. They bring it like hot and
(02:19):
fresh right out of the oven. And so she was
telling me a story and it was kind of funny.
And I was taking a sip of my water and
I like laughed and I kind of I hit the bread,
but it was like it was whatever, It's only a
few drops or you know, it seemed like she had
looked past it. But maybe it's the bread.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
I don't know, and you dang get her new bread.
Maybe that's why because.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
We got we got there was a lot. There was
more bread obviously, but yeah, I'm just trying to think
about anything that could have gone wrong or anything that
would have been weird or off or anything like that.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
Yeah, spinning on bread you're excited to eat is kind
of like oops, okay, and.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
That's the only thing you can think of. Yeah, did
you say she wanted to see you again?
Speaker 4 (03:04):
Yeah? Yeah, Like I said, you know, there was a vibe.
It was it was cool. Like like I said, at
the end, there there was you know, there was a
real kiss. Like I had to like lean against the
parking meter afterwards.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Just to was it bad, like I know, the I
don't know, like you know that it was nice. I'm
just wondering, like if there was some kind of moment
like did your teeth touch are you a little Sobbery, no, okay,
I decided to check.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
Well, see if we can figure it out for you.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
We'll play a song, come back, and then call her
and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting you,
and maybe get you a second date if you still
want one.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
Okay, okay, cool, thanks guys, All right, we'll get.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
Your first a follow up next.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
In the middle of your first sight follow up if
you're just joining us, Ryan is on the phone and
he's getting ghosted by Morgan. So we're about to call
her and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting
him and maybe get him a second date if he
still wants one. But before do that, Brian, why don't
you break down your situation for us real quick.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
I went out with this with the scroll Morgan and
took her to dinner. We had a really good time.
I accidentally spin on her bread. I hope that has
nothing to do with this, and I don't know. We
got along really really well, and I walked her back
to her car and we kissed and then nothing crickets, you.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Know, just okay, all right, right, are you ready for
us to call her hand?
Speaker 4 (04:35):
Yeah? Yeah, let's let's get her on the line. I'm curious.
I let's see what's going on.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
Okay, here we go. All right, Hi speak to Morgan. Please?
Speaker 6 (04:55):
Is this she?
Speaker 3 (04:56):
Hey Morgan? How are you? This is a radio show.
It's called The Jubil Show.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
I'm Morgan, I'm Nina.
Speaker 3 (05:01):
Hi, I'm Victoria, and my name is Jewbell. How are you?
Speaker 6 (05:04):
Well? Hi, there's a lot of you.
Speaker 4 (05:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
Have you ever listened to the show before?
Speaker 6 (05:10):
I feel like I shouldn't say no. All right, well
you podcast?
Speaker 2 (05:19):
Okay, yeah, we'll check it out sometime, but we're calling
you today because we actually got an email about you. Okay,
So we do a segment on the show. It's called
the first Date follow Up. That's where if you go
out on a date with someone and then you ghost them,
that person can email us to get you on the
phone and ask why you're ghosting them. Is there anybody
(05:39):
that you're ghosting that you think would email us? I?
Speaker 6 (05:44):
Yeah, I think so.
Speaker 7 (05:45):
I'm gonna I'm shocked that it would be so important
that they would call into a radio.
Speaker 6 (05:52):
Stations, but I can think it's flattering. Morgan, thank you?
Speaker 5 (05:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (05:57):
Yeah, yeah?
Speaker 2 (05:58):
Talking about Ryan m hmm. Okay, do you mind telling
us why you're ghosting Ryan?
Speaker 6 (06:07):
Yeah? Uh sure, why not? Okay? So Ryan and I went.
Speaker 4 (06:13):
On a date.
Speaker 6 (06:14):
It was good. It was a good date. We had
a great time, and I decided I didn't want to
see him in again.
Speaker 7 (06:21):
And I don't feel bad about it. So's I can
tell you why if?
Speaker 3 (06:28):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (06:30):
Got it? Got it? Okay?
Speaker 7 (06:33):
So I got home, I looked in the mirror and
I realized that had a huge piece of lettuce in
my days. She's like, like fully in the front of
my teeth. And he said nothing, And that's the deal.
Speaker 6 (06:46):
Breaker for me.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
Okay, So why is that a deal breaker?
Speaker 1 (06:49):
I mean, I can see how it's kind of embarrassing
and it's not awesome to see when you get home
from a date, But why is that something that you're
just calling it good on?
Speaker 6 (06:56):
I don't know. Can you hand you?
Speaker 5 (06:58):
Like?
Speaker 6 (06:58):
We're talking for hours, we're flair. I'm smiling at him
and telling him stories or.
Speaker 7 (07:03):
Gazing into each other's eyes across a handle like table,
and the whole time I've let us in my teeth
and he didn't tell me like like to me, that's
just like not the kind of person I.
Speaker 6 (07:13):
Hang out with. I want to hang out with someone
who's going to tell me I let us.
Speaker 3 (07:16):
In my teeth. What if he didn't see it, then.
Speaker 6 (07:20):
He's blind, that's not possible, and it's and if he
really really didn't, then he's not observant. And I still
don't want to deal with someone like that.
Speaker 7 (07:31):
But I find it really hard to believe he didn't
see it.
Speaker 1 (07:34):
I know it sounds silly, but I get you, girl.
I get like that in the studio sometimes when I
noticed I have food on my teeth in Jewel in
Victoria and tell me, man, we didn't see it.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
A lot of times I don't see it, Okay, people don't. Hey, Morgan,
that's Ryan. He's actually on the phone listening and wants
to talk to you.
Speaker 4 (07:52):
By Hey, I'm sorry this is about lettuce in your teeth. Yeah,
oh my, well so, but hold on, you're telling me
your life story.
Speaker 6 (08:05):
To be really clear, it's not a random slip up.
That's a violation of my trust. It indicates who you
are as a pray.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
But you're like bearing your soul to me. I'm supposed
to stop you and be like, hey, your mouth looks
like a compost bin.
Speaker 7 (08:19):
Oh gosh, y yes, because one if you're not gonna
out by that problem. And two, yes, you're supposed to
have someone's facts and they don't make a fool of themselves.
Speaker 4 (08:31):
What else I know?
Speaker 6 (08:33):
That's okay, I don't what else are you keeping from me?
I don't want to move forward.
Speaker 4 (08:38):
This is like some sort of a test or something. Yeah,
it kinda no, Yeah, hold on are you saying? You're
saying you knew you had food in your teeth and
they're waiting for me to say something.
Speaker 6 (08:54):
Yeah, it's a perfect test.
Speaker 7 (08:55):
The real ones will say something, they care enough to
say something. They're not trying to be nice.
Speaker 6 (09:00):
I don't want something to be nice to me. I
want someone to be real with you.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
Put the food in your teeth on purpose?
Speaker 4 (09:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (09:06):
Yeah, Oh, this is.
Speaker 4 (09:14):
Parent. That is first of all. That is so manipulative.
I don't really even know what to say. That's you
know what, Look what means?
Speaker 7 (09:24):
I remind you we're talking about this on the radio show,
so I feel like my assessment of you is correct.
I cannot believe this is happening that can evolved. I
do this on every date and it's hasn't failed me.
You know what, I put a little bit of like
a leaf, a little bit of something, deliberately leave it there.
Speaker 6 (09:42):
If they call it out, they passed.
Speaker 7 (09:44):
And if you let me walk around with your.
Speaker 4 (09:47):
Teeth would be going out.
Speaker 6 (09:51):
Yeah. I feel like when you're planning, we can get
away and say.
Speaker 4 (09:56):
I think you really seriously need therapy, and.
Speaker 7 (10:02):
I feel like it's a reflection of your character. So
you can say that I'm insane, But knowing that you
left me like that for hours, it feels like the.
Speaker 6 (10:15):
Whole thing was steak and it's very embarrassing for me.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
Cool. Well, next time, I'll carry dental floss and one
of those little bibs they give you when you're getting
your teeth clean.
Speaker 6 (10:28):
Yeah, there's only going to be a next time because
you didn't. It's not about carring down on thoughts. It's
about being honest to my face.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
Are you sure, Morgan? Do you want another day with Ryan?
Will pay for it?
Speaker 6 (10:38):
No?
Speaker 5 (10:39):
No, Honestly, I think I think I'm good because you're
telling me you're running psychological experiments on the men you
go to dinner with.
Speaker 4 (10:51):
Uh, You're I'm good. This is m but thanks the
bottom of this.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
It's a new kind of test.
Speaker 6 (11:00):
I would The thing is, I would never do that
to you. Though I would have your back.
Speaker 7 (11:04):
So you can see it as a manipulation, but it's
it's sort of like it's a.
Speaker 6 (11:10):
Rite of passage. It tells me what I need to know.
I'm not a manipulative person in general, so you can
tell yourself whatever you want. You're fake, you're faike with me,
all right, Well, good luck.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
Sorry, Ryan and Morgan, thank you very much.
Speaker 4 (11:27):
Thank you.
Speaker 5 (11:32):
You will.
Speaker 6 (11:33):
First day follow up
