Speaker 1 (00:00):
First Day to follow up powered by the Advocates Injury
Attorneys online at advocatesla dot com. Ryan is on the
phone today for a first Day follow up and he's
getting ghosted by a woman named Laila. So in a
few minutes we'll call her and see if she's us,
why she's ghosting him, and maybe get him a second day.
But first, Ryan, how long has it been since your date?

Speaker 2 (00:18):
It's been almost almost a week now. Have you been
trying to hit her up?

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Yeah, I've been trying to get a hold of Layla
for a bit.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
We ended up like we ended up spending a.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Whole day together, and I've just been trying to you know,
call and text without being you know, overwhelming or anything
like that, but I just can't seem to get any
sort of response from her. We'll tell us about the date, okay, Yeah,
so the day was great, Like we planned to meet
for lunch, but we ended up spending the whole day together,
which I didn't really expect, like just like a quick

(00:51):
little coffee at this cafe, but it just like kept
i don't know, like the day just kept going on
and on and on, and so after that we wouldn't
liked a couple of bikes and went for this ride
by the water and stopped to grab some snacks and
you know, are grabbing snacks and just like chatting and everything.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
You know, we're by the water, and she's just like
we started talking about seafood for some reason.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
And it's so weird because I don't like seafood, and
she she goes, oh, I don't like seafood.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
I don't know why would anybody want.

Speaker 3 (01:20):
To surf and turf and you can just do you know,
double turf. I thought that was so funny. It's just
like tell me about herself and family and all this stuff.
And like I was like, well, you know, like let's
let's keep a conversation going. Let's go grab some steaks.
We'll go back to my place and just like cook
some dinner together. And she's like, well, forgetting steaks, we
should grab some wine. Like okay, And That's what I'm saying.

(01:44):
Like the whole day just ended up building on you.
Just she was so cool and I don't know, I'm
not much of it.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Like a Netflix and chill guy.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
And so when she came over, she's like, hey, if
you have Uno, It's like yeah, do you do you
play cards?

Speaker 2 (01:58):
It's just like, of course I've cards.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
And turns out she's like really competitive, and so we
felt like like we ended up playing, you know and
just like putting music on the speaker back and forth,
taking turns. It like felt I know it sounds super cheesy,
but it felt like a scene out of the movie
really fun.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Yeah, it does sound fun. Did anything else happen as
your place?

Speaker 2 (02:18):
Like she spent the night okay, but I well, not
like Lien, we've been drinking.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
I don't want you driving until you're like comfortable, but
like you can take my bed and like sleep out
on the couch.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
She just like, I don't know, I didn't want the
night to end. What could have gone wrong?

Speaker 3 (02:37):
I don't know, Like I'm worried I came on too
strong because like I really hadn't felt like I connected
with somebody like this. And she was just like yeah,
I know people go the term adventrist around a lot, but.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
The fact that she was just like kept adding onto
the date.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
It was just so fun and like I was just
I was gung ho, Like I was like, yeah, let's
go for it. Then I was like something she'd be
like yeah, let's go for it. So I know she
was into it too. I just can't figure out why.
Like I mean, I kind of have a theory. I
just I don't want it to be true.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
What is it?

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Okay, So like when I invited her back to my place,
like it wasn't actually my place was house sitting for
my boss.

Speaker 1 (03:18):
Oh okay, you think she knows that?

Speaker 3 (03:21):
No, no, she does not know that. There's no way
because I just kind of like played it off. I mean,
I wasn't trying to lie, like I'm not I'm not
that kind of person. I just like got caught up
in the moment like she's like talking.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
About stakes and like, well, let's go back.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
I was like, oh yeah, let's go back, and she's
like just you know, I'll hop in the car with you,
and I just kind of went on like you know,
auto mode, and I don't know me.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
I'm just like like I didn't say it was my place.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
Or anything like that, Like I know my way around
the kitchen, I'm like stayed sitting my boss's place before.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
But like I don't know, like I'm worried.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
I don't know, maybe she's saw like the mail or
something with and didn't have my name on it.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
I just I don't know, So.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
You just didn't say anything. Was it like a mansion?

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Yeah, yeah, it's a really nice house.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
It's a really nice house, and like I'm in a condo,
and I just like the difference is so staggering.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
It's just I just feel awful, Like I wish I
just told her, like, hey, I'm house sitting. I don't
know why I didn't say that.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Yeah, right, well let's see if that is the reason. Well,
play a song, come back, and then call her and
see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting you and
maybe get you a second day.

Speaker 4 (04:32):
Okay, okay, yeah, all right, we'll get your first day
follow up right after this. Right in the middle of
your first day follow up, and if you're just joining us,
Ryan is on the phone and he's getting ghosted by Leila.
So we're about to call her and see if she'll
tell us why and maybe get him a second date.
But first, Ryan, before we do that, why don't you
recap your date real quick?

Speaker 1 (04:53):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Yeah, So Leila and I went out.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
It was supposed to be a short day to turn
out into like a full day affair, and I invited
her back to my place to cook some dinner.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
She had just spending the night, but I was I
was house sitting at my boss's place. It wasn't actually
my place.

Speaker 1 (05:10):
And you think she might have found that out?

Speaker 2 (05:13):
I definitely That's all I can think about.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
All right, are you ready for us to call her?

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (05:20):
